Christopher Nolan wants fans to keep buying films on Blu-ray

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Nolan fears films could disappear if they are only available via streaming services.
The Hollywood director has admitted he wants to keep physical media like Blu-ray going because he worries that expiring licensing agreements with platforms like Netflix or Apple could lead to some movies getting lost over the years as they disappear from online viewing platforms and become unavailable.
Nolan recently urged film fans to buy physical copies of his latest film ‘Oppenheimer’ during a screening of the film, telling them they need a physical copy so “so no evil streaming service can come steal it from you” and he has now explained the comments to The Washington Post.
He told the newspaper: “There is a danger these days that if things only exist in the streaming version, they do get taken down. They come and go – as do broadcast versions of films, so my films will play on HBO or whatever, they’ll come and go.
“But the home video version is the thing that can always be there, so people can always access it. And since the 1980s, as filmmakers, we’ve taken that for granted, and now we have to make sure that there’s a way that that can continue to happen, if not the physical media.”
He added: “The danger I’m talking about with a filmmaker’s film just sort of disappearing from streaming one day and then maybe not coming back or not coming back for a long period of time, that’s not an intentional conspiracy.
“That’s just a way that with the particular licensing agreements, the way things are evolving. So it’s something worth pointing out because it will need to be fixed, but I’m very confident that it will be.”
Speaking during a screening of ‘Oppenheimer’ in Los Angeles last week, Nolan told the audience he’s been working hard to get the film released on physical media. He said: “Obviously ‘Oppenheimer’ has been quite a ride for us and now it is time for me to release a home version of the film. I’ve been working very hard on it for months. I’m known for my love of theatrical and put my whole life into that, but, the truth is, the way the film goes out at home is equally important.
“[The Blu-ray is] a version you can buy and own at home and put on a shelf so no evil streaming service can come steal it from you.”
‘Oppenheimer’ will be released on Blu-ray on November 21. A date for the film’s launch on streaming services has yet to be announced.

I’m A Celebrity bosses ‘fear Jamie Lynn Spears will quit early’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ bosses are reportedly worried Jamie Lynn Spears will quit the show early.
Britney Spears’ younger sister entered the jungle along with stars including politician Nigel Farage, TV host Josie Gibson and actress Danielle Harold, but she struggled during the first challenges and TV chiefs are now said to be concerned that she’s planning to make a quick exit.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The entry trials for I’m A Celebrity are notoriously tough and Jamie wasn’t the only one who struggled through the challenges.
“But away from the cameras and scenes that aired on TV, it’s her behaviour in camp that has become obvious to crew. She has kept herself somewhat separate, not really socialising – and stayed in bed. It looked like she is really missing her family and, of course, unlike the other celebs, who are all from the UK and mostly know – or know of – each other, Jamie Lynn didn’t have immediate connections like that.”
An insider previously told The Mirror newspaper Jamie had already sparked fears she may keep her head down in camp.
The source said: “It is not a great sign if you are hoping Jamie Lynn is going to be hugely talkative on the show and give up lots of goss about Britney. Hopefully she finds her voice in camp.”
Jamie previously quit the US version of ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’ after just two days. She opened up about her reasons to fellow contestant Mel B – admitting she really missed her kids.
She told the Spice Girls star: “Like, I just can’t do it one more night. I can’t do it … I miss my children when I’m away from them for a couple of hours. So this is a very big leap for me. Not only do I love them and want to be with them, but being away from them like this, even if it’s something for myself, makes me feel like a c*** mum. They didn’t ask for their mom to be gone. My babies.”

Amy Nuttall’s mum dies four months after brain tumour diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Nuttall’s mum has died just four months after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
The 41-year-old ‘Downton Abbey’ actress has been left heartbroken after Elaine passed away on October 30 with the TV star revealing she helped care for her until the end when she “died in my arms as I lay beside her”.
In an emotional post on Instagram, Amy wrote: “My heart is beating loudly whilst I write this. Yesterday I said goodbye to my beautiful dear mummy. She was diagnosed in July with a glioblastoma (grade 4). To say it was the biggest shock would be an understatement. Together with my wonderful family, we helped care for her to the end where she died in my arms as I lay beside her on 30/10/23 at 5.05pm.”
Amy went on to reveal she was so proud of her mum for the way she handled her cancer battle.
She added: “[Mum] humbled us all with how she handled this cruel diagnosis … never complaining, always smiling and bringing her daft humour to the fore every day. Mum, you were my rock. Always. My best friend. I’m not sure how I’m going to do life without you but I know you’ll always be with me to carry me through as you always did. Thank you mummy … you gave me the best days I ever had.”
The devastating news comes just months after Amy suffered another heartbreak as her marriage to husband Andrew Buchanan collapsed amid allegations of infidelity.
The couple – who have two children together – had split earlier this year but reportedly got back together to give their marriage another shot, but they are believed to have parted ways again over the summer.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It took a lot for Amy to give the marriage another chance but she thought it was worth one final roll of the dice. There is no suggestion he has cheated again, but as far as she is concerned this is it … She is obviously gutted but also accepts that their time together has come to an end.”

Rhian Sugden pregnant after IVF heartbreak

OHMYGOSSIP — Rhian Sugden is pregnant with her first child after six years of IVF treatment.
The 37-year-old former glamour model and her husband Oliver Mellor are thrilled to confirm they are expecting a baby together following eight failed rounds of fertility treatments which left the couple fearing they may never become parents.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, Rhian said: “We’re over the moon. Our lives are going to change so much, which is very exciting … I thought I’d never have children, that Oliver would leave me to have a baby with someone else, and I’d die alone.”
The couple were previously given a three per cent chance of conceiving naturally after tests showed Rhian had a low egg count and perimenopausal hormone levels. They spent around £130,000 on IVF treatment before they finally got the news they had hoped for.
Rhian revealed she woke up Oliver one morning by waving a positive pregnancy test at him and she started taking several tests a day just to make sure she was really pregnant.
The model added: “It still doesn’t feel real. We were convinced it would never happen. But here we are, and we’re thrilled.”
Rhian previously admitted IVF treatment turned her into a “different person” because she felt low all the time, and her mood was further impacted when she failed to get pregnant.
In an interview with New! magazine, she said: “They changed my injections the second time because they weren’t working, so they upped my dose to the maximum they can give anyone. It made me a completely different person. “I was sad all the time and I couldn’t drag myself out of bed. It’s like the run-up to your period when you’re all over the place and you know you’re just being a bitch but you can’t help it. It was like that for four weeks. “The mood swings were difficult enough and then finding out it hadn’t worked was just … I can’t really explain it. You just feel like you’ve failed as a woman.”

Jonnie Irwin celebrated 50th birthday early as he ‘didn’t think he’d make it’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonnie Irwin celebrated his 50th birthday early because he feared he wouldn’t “make it” to the milestone.
The ‘A Place in The Sun’ presenter was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2020 – which has since spread to his brain – and given just six months to live and he was worried he wouldn’t be around to mark his birthday so he had a party several months ahead of the big day.
He told Hello! magazine: “I had an early birthday party at the start of the year because I didn’t think I’d make it. It was like being at my own wake; lots of fun, lots of dancing. But here I am. I view it as a complete triumph.”
Jonnie turned 50 on Sunday (19.11.23) and celebrated on a trip to Spain’s Costa Del Sol with his wife Jessica Holmes and their sons, Rex, four, and twins Rafa and Cormac, three.
He said of the party: “I feel really privileged to be able to celebrate my birthday looking at blue skies and with sand between my toes.”
Jonnie was recently allowed home from hospital because his liver function is now “heading in the right direction” and before catching the flight to Spain with his family, the TV star confirmed he’d cleared the trip with his oncologist.
In a post on Instagram, he explained: “I woke up this morning feeling a bit better, still slightly jaundice-y, but I’m about to jump on a flight to southern Spain.
“I did clear it with with my oncologist, and he said, ‘Well, there are hospitals in Spain and in fairness, you don’t play by the rules anyway’. But my thoughts are, that’s probably part of my success so far!
“Hopefully my liver continues to get a bit better and me and my family, we wake up tomorrow, to blue skies in southern Spain … Bon voyage to us.”

‘It’s not something I’ve ever wanted to do’: Eve Hewson had to overcome singing fears for Flora and Son

OHMYGOSSIP — Eve Hewson had to conquer her “fear of singing” for ‘Flora and Son’.
The 32-year-old actress – the daughter of U2 frontman Bono and activist Ali Hewson – plays the title role in the musical comedy-drama and surprisingly confessed that she was terrified of using her vocals for the movie.
Speaking at Deadline’s Contenders Film: Los Angeles panel, Eve said: “I just thought, ‘I could not let this person get away from me. I have to play this part. And I’m just going to have to get over my fear of singing – it’s not something I’ve ever wanted to do – and just go for it.’
“And it’s ended up being such a rewarding experience on many different levels, but (on) almost sort of psychological-emotional level for me, it’s like I faced my fear and I’ve moved past it and I feel pretty good about it.”
The movie tells the story of struggling but spirited Dublin single mother Flora (Hewson) as she attempts to make peace with her estranged and wayward teenage son Max (Oren Kinlan).
In an attempt to bond with her son through music, Flora hires burned-out LA singer-songwriter Jeff (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) to teach her the basics of playing the guitar. The long-distance connection deepens and mother and son stumble into a musical partnership.
Music is at the forefront of the movie and Gordon-Levitt had no qualms about performing.
Recalling his conversation with writer and director John Carney, the ‘Looper’ actor said: “Oh, man you have to let me do this. It’s about a guy teaching guitar on the internet.
“At first he wanted a professional, established musician. I was like, ‘No, what you need is someone who’s not a musician but can play enough and will feel like a real guy.'”

‘Not even in my control’: Iman Vellani isn’t bothered by The Marvels failing at the box office

OHMYGOSSIP — Iman Vellani isn’t worried about ‘The Marvels’ bombing at the box office.
The 21-year-old star features in the new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Kamala Khan/ Ms. Marvel but feels that the picture’s disastrous financial return is a problem for Disney chief Bob Iger to address.
Iman told Yahoo Entertainment: “I don’t want to focus on something that’s not even in my control, because what’s the point? That’s for Bob Iger.”
The star explained that she is happy to have made a movie with the likes of Nia DaCosta and Brie Larson and is refusing to get concerned about outside factors.
Vellani said: “(The box office) has nothing to do with me. I’m happy with the finished product, and the people that I care about enjoyed the film.
“It’s genuinely a good time watching this movie, and that’s all we can ask for with these films. It has superheroes, it takes place in space, it’s not that deep and it’s about teamwork and sisterhood. It’s a fun movie, and I’m just so happy that I can share it with people.”
Legendary horror author Stephen King spoke out in defence of ‘The Marvels’ on social media as he hit out at the “unpleasant” gloating about the picture’s failure and Iman appreciates his support.
She said: “Having Stephen King in anyone’s corner is pretty awesome.”
‘The Marvels’ has been accused of being ‘woke’ with the story focusing on three female superheroes and Vellani is disappointed that toxic voices are trying to spoil the excitement for fans.
She explained: “I had a lot of experience in high school alone when I would share my excitement with someone, and then they’d immediately shut me down for being so excited.
“I would hate to see that within the fan community as well, because it does feel awful. If people are excited about something, let them be excited about it. And if you have constructive criticism, voice it – but never be the wet blanket on someone else’s excitement.”

Jake Quickenden ‘never washed’ during I’m A Celeb

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Quickenden “never washed'” during his stint on ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 35-year-old pop star took part in the ITV jungle show back in 2014 opposite stars including Melanie Sykes, Edwina Currie and Craig Charles, and Jake has admitted he wasn’t fussed about hygiene while he was in camp and didn’t even run out of his basic ration of shampoo and soap.
He told OK! magazine: “You get one soap, one shampoo sachet and one deodorant that don’t smell of anything, plus a toothbrush and toothpaste that doesn’t taste of anything. I never ran out because I never washed!”
Jake also didn’t bother washing his clothes and chose to go without underpants for most of his time in the TV show. He added: “I only packed two [pairs of] underwear. I went commando for half of it. I didn’t wash my clothes much, I couldn’t be bothered. They smelt of smoke and there was no washing that smell off.”
However, Jake admitted he might have been extra stinky because it was his job to empty the outdoor toilet every day.
He explained: “I was allocated this the whole time. It had to be picked up and emptied and I was the biggest and strongest. If you weren’t careful, it would slosh around and you’d get covered in c***.”
Jake previously admitted he used to try talking to crewmembers during filming, but they were ordered not to interact with the celebrities. However, Jake persevered and even tried to get them to tell him the football scores.
He told Betway: “I remember one of them had Tic Tacs and I was like: ‘Can I please have a Tic Tac? [but] he wasn’t allowed to talk to me and wasn’t allowed to give me one’ … I always used to ask them for the football scores, but they’d never talk to you. You do see people throughout the day, but it’s like you’re invisible.”

Louise Jameson ‘annoyed’ by EastEnders exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Jameson was “annoyed” by the way her ‘EastEnders’ exit was handled.
The 72-year-old actress played Rosa Di Marco for two years between 1998 and 2000 and she’s now revealed BBC bosses failed to tell her the character was being written out until the night before the news was announced in the papers – insisting it “wasn’t respectful”.
She told Inside Soap magazine: “I was annoyed about the way it was announced. I was only told the night before it appeared in the papers. I thought they could have run it by me first so I could tell my family. It wasn’t respectful.”
Louise joined rival ITV soap ‘Emmerdale’ last year as Mary Goskirk and it was recently revealed she’ll be staying on the Dales for at least another year after renewing her contract.
According to The Sun newspaper, she said of the deal: “I’ve just signed for another year. So I’m definitely there until January 2024. In my head I’m thinking maybe a couple of years after that, maybe a three or four year stint. But there are people here who have been here 25 years going, ‘Yeah, I said that at the beginning.’ But who knows? They’re such a lovely bunch, who knows?”
An insider added to the publication: “Louise has been a revelation on Emmerdale and bosses were keen for her to stay. The deal was to see how she went down with audiences before discussions of an extension would take place, and it’s fair to say she’s a hit with fans.”
As well as her soap roles, Louise is also known for starring in ‘Doctor Who’ in the late 1970s. She played companion Leela oposite Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, and she previously admitted they didn’t become good friends until years after their stint on the sci-fi show.
Louise told RadioTimes.com: “It’s no secret we weren’t bosom buddies back in the ’70s but we’ve become such good friends since the ’90s … He’s a one-off, isn’t he? He’s eccentric and weird and wonderful and witty and intelligent and all those things the Doctor should be. My goodness, he’s eccentric! And unpredictable, and I’ve learnt to really love that about him.”

Simon Cowell never works Fridays

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell never works Fridays because it’s “just pointless”.
The 64-year-old TV mogul has shared his secrets to living a happy life and he’s confessed he has cut his working week down to four days and sticks firmly to his rule to always have a three-day weekend.
He told The Sun newspaper: “The first thing [I do] is take off Fridays. Don’t work on Fridays, because you don’t have to … I’m not kidding about the Fridays.
“I don’t think anyone should be working five days a week. It’s just pointless.”
Simon went on to share his other rules which include eating dinner early and refusing to look at emails or take phone calls in the evening.
He added: “Eat dinner at five o ‘clock. Don’t take calls after 5.30. Don’t read emails after 5.30. Watch a happy movie. And stay outside.”
The “Britain’s Got Talent’ boss also insisted everyone should try their best to find a job they enjoy because it is a huge factor in happiness.
He concluded: “Do something you enjoy. It’s that. I’ve really enjoyed doing this [my TV career]. I really, really have enjoyed it.”
Simon gave himself a total lifestyle overhaul after suffering a nasty accident in 2020 when he took a tumble from an electric bike that left hi needing surgery.
He changed up his work and his diet and even started therapy to take care of his mental health.
Simon previously told The Mirror newspaper: “Fortunately I met some friends who had benefited from therapy. And that’s when I thought, ‘You know what? I’ve kind of looked after my body through diet, and exercise, pretty well over the years, but what have I done about my brain and my mind?’”
He also credited his partner Lauren Silverman with supporting his decision, adding: “She didn’t look at me like there was something wrong with me. She was the opposite. She was like, ‘I’m really happy that you’re doing this, Simon. I think it’s really going to be helpful for you to have someone outside of your work friends, people you already know, just to be able to talk about yourself, about anything you want. And if it helps, it helps.’ And she saw the difference I think in about three or four weeks.”

Peter Andre didn’t celebrate Christmas as a kid

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Andre didn’t celebrate Christmas when he was a kid due to his parents’ religious beliefs.
The 50-year-old pop star – who was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness – has confessed he’s only started embracing the holiday as an adult and credits his wife Emily with making sure the family gets into the festive spirit every year because he’s still “new” to Christmas.
In his column for new! magazine, Peter explained: “The build-up to Christmas is upon us. We’re putting our decorations up at the start of December and the kids join in, which makes everything so much more fun. We have lots of traditions – like Elf On The Shelf – but, I’ve got to admit, Emily introduced them.
“I’m still kind of new at this because I grew up in a very religious household and we didn’t celebrate Christmas. So the festive spirit is down to Emily. Oh, and Santa, of course … ”
Peter – who is dad to four kids with baby number five on the way – previously admitting becoming a father changed his views on the holiday season.
He told the Mirror newspaper: ” I grew up in a strict household of Jehovah’s Witnesses. We didn’t celebrate birthdays or Christmas or anything like that. I still respect everything I learned, even though I’m not part of the faith.
“But one of the things is a lot of people say is: ‘Do you feel you missed out’ and I say: ‘Well, you don’t know any different’. But, now the kids are going through it I get to live it through them and it’s beautiful … I enjoy seeing it through the eyes of the kids.”
Peter has sonJunior, 18, and 16-year-old daughter Princess with first wife Katie Price – as well as Amelia, 10, and six-year-old Theo with wife Emily, and he recently confirmed the couple are expecting another baby together with the new addition due in 2024.

Nigel Farage eats penis-topped pizza on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Nigel Farage ate a pizza with four penises on it on Monday’s (20.11.23) edition of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 59-year-old politician is currently in Australia taking part in the ITV1 reality challenge show and along with YouTube star Nella Rose, 26, he faced the Jungle Pizzeria challenge
Asked by host Ant McPartlin if he had ever eaten penis before, he said: “Not regularly, no. This would not be top of the list!”
Elsewhere in the trial, Nella tried not to vomit her way through dishes that included giant mealworms and fly pupae as she joked that she would never find someone to marry her after such an ordeal but point blank refused to sample a surstromming (salted and fermented sea herring) as she exclaimed that it smelled like “death.”
In the end, the duo returned to camp with nine out of a possible 10 stars, meaning that their co-stars would be able to have nine meals for camp.
Back at base, Nigel was quizzed by ‘This Morning’ host Josie Gibson and former ‘EastEnders’ star Danielle Harold what former Prime Minister Boris Johnson is really like.
He said: “Entertaining… in small doses. [He’s] surprisingly introverted. You see this big act, fluffing the hair… surprising.”
When asked by Josie if Boris – who is known for sporting an umkempt look and a floppy blonde hairsryle – is a “fumbler” in real life, Nigel claimed that the former PM is one of the “most disorganised” people on the planet.
He said: ““I think he’s one of the most disorganised human beings that possibly ever lived. The whole thing’s bloody chaos. Shambles!”

Jamie Lynn Spears opens up about her relationship with sister Britney on I’m A Celeb

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lynn Spears spoke to her sister Britney before entering the ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ jungle.
The 32-year-old actress has become somewhat estranged from her elder sister – who regained control of her multimillion-dollar fortune when a conservatorship governed by her immediate family was terminated in 2021 – in recent years amid allegations she was involved in the arrangement but admitted that she made contact with the ‘…Baby One More Time’ superstar before heading Down Under to compete on the ITV1 reality show.
Speaking on Monday’s (20.11.23) episode, she told campmate Fred Sirieix: “I think every family fights and has their stuff but I talked to her before I came here and we love each other.”
In the years after Britney shot to fame as a pop singer, Jamie Lynn landed a role on the Nickelodeon series ‘All That’ before the network decided to create comedy series ‘Zoey 101’ for her, but shortly after she finished shooting the show in 2007, she found herself pregnant by then-boyfriend Casey Aldridge at the age of 16.
During her chat with the ‘First Dates’ star, Jamie Lynn went on to admit she was led to believe her life was “over” when she gave birth to now-15-year-old Maddie.
She said: “Oh, I always say this. My momma, not in a cocky way at all, my mom literally believed we were the best in the world. I think we grew up, all we ever did was sing and dance, that was our whole household, that’s how we were. We auditioned for a show called ‘All That’ and that’s when I was on ‘All That’ for three years before I did Zoey [101]. It was very successful. After I finished Zoey, I had my love of my life, what I thought, I decided to keep the baby. I was 16. The whole world was like, ‘You’re a s***, you’re horrible your life is over…Because I got pregnant young and I was on a kids’ show.”
The ‘Sweet Magnolias’ actress – who is now married to Jamie Watson and has five-year-old Ivey with him – was seen on the edge of tears as she claimed that several people did not want her to go through with the pregnancy but moved to Mississippi from her native Louisiana to concentrate on raising her baby,
She said: “I moved to Mississippi and literally hid. Put a gate around me. I had 20 paparazzi on me every day. They wouldn’t leave me alone. They came and lived in Mississippi, middle of nowhere. It was horrible. I hated it so much. I just wanted to be normal. I wanted my baby to be normal. Everybody told me I was going to be a horrible mom. So I was like I’ve got to raise this baby by myself and I did.
“When I went away…when I first got pregnant, they didn’t want me to have the baby. A lot of people around me.”
“When I got out of that, I told my parents I was going to emancipate them, that way I could make my own decisions. I was secretly telling her I was going to doctor’s appointments. I was going to meetings with a lawyer…
“My poor mom, we put her through it. And so then she was like, she didn’t want me to do that, she knew that would mean I’d probably marry the father and lose my fortune that I’d amassed over the years of working… she said, ‘Just go baby…’. It was the first time I was in control. My mom did [come and visit]. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, why I wouldn’t take the easy route sometimes, but I just don’t want to.”

Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa to star opposite First Doctor after they ‘ended up in same scene’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ncuti Gatwa looks set to star alongside the late William Hartnell in ‘Doctor Who’ – after revealing they “ended up in the same scene together”.
The 31-year-old actor, who has taken over the role of the titular Time Lord in the BBC sci-fi series, admitted it was “very wild” to be in the same scene as William, who portrayed the First Doctor from 1963 to 1966 before his death in 1975 aged 67.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “It has been a crazy year.
“I shouldn’t say this but there was a scene that I somehow shot with the first ever Doctor, William Hartnell.
“We ended up in the same scene together … and to see that history and now a black man is the Doctor is just very wild.”
Earlier this month, Ncuti admitted he “wasn’t able to enjoy” filming ‘Doctor Who’.
He told the December/ January issue of British GQ: “It was annoying.
“I just wasn’t able to enjoy things anymore because [from the] outside, I can see that this is amazing, and oh, my God, you work with amazing people, and it’s a great opportunity, but I just felt like I was trying to get to the end, the finish line.”
The former ‘Sex Education’ star initially put the audition out of his mind because he had no idea if he would be successful in his bid to land the coveted TV role.
He added: “I knew I needed to go in and give them a wink and a [smile].
“But I almost forgot about [the audition] as soon as I left the room, because there was just no way. Because there’s life and then there’s life.
“I’m a good actor [but] this is a 60-year-long British institution and I’m a black man, so I never thought that I’d be chosen to front something that is basically the heart of the BBC.”

Alan Carr’s sitcom recommissioned for season 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr’s sitcom has been re-commissioned for a second series – even though the first season is yet to air on ITV1.
The ‘Chatty Man’ host, 47, wrote ‘Changing Ends’, which follows his life as the gay son of a “tough-talking” football manager struggling to find himself in the Midlands.
The show launched on ITVX in June, and is due to be released on ITV1 in early 2024.
ITV bosses are said to have been so pleased with the reception to the sitcom earlier in the year, they have greenlit a second series.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “It’s very unusual for TV chiefs to green light a second series without fully testing a first but the reception to Changing Ends on ITVX was so overwhelmingly positive, they know they’re on to a winner.”
The next series, penned by the comedian and produced by the studio behind ‘Gavin and Stacey’ and ‘Alan Partridge’, is due to commence filming early next year, with an expected release on ITV’s streaming platform in the summer.
