‘I’m not interested!’ Tim Burton rules out Nightmare Before Christmas sequels or reboots

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Burton is not interested in making any ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ sequels or reboots.
The 65-year-old filmmaker created the story for the 1993 original – which was directed by Henry Selick – but the star is insistent that he doesn’t want a follow up of the animated fantasy film to ever be made.
He told Empire magazine: “To me the movie is very important.
“I’ve done sequels, I’ve done other things, I’ve done reboots, I’ve done all that, right?
“I don’t want that to happen to this. It’s nice that people are maybe interested [in another one], but I’m not.
“I feel like that old guy who owns a little piece of property and won’t sell to the big power-plant that wants to take my land. ‘Get off of my land! You pesky little … You ain’t getting this property! I don’t care what you want to build on it. You come on my property … Where’s my shotgun?’ ”
The original movie tells the story of the well-respected “Pumpkin King” Jack Skellington, who leads the organisation of Halloween Town’s annual October 31st celebrations, and Burton admitted the character is “very personal” to him.
He added: “Those are the kinds of things that I love, whether it’s [Edward] Scissorhands or Batman, characters that have that.
“It represented all those feelings that I had. I was perceived as this dark character, when I didn’t feel that way. So it was a very personal character.”
Burton’s comments come after Selick admitted last month he would be interested in making a ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ prequel.
He told People magazine: “[‘Nightmare…’] is a perfect movie [that] came out of the perfect time, only to grow into something far bigger over the years.”
“I think Tim in particular feels like, why mess with that?
“He certainly doesn’t need to make more money from a sequel. He has had so many other successes, and so far nobody’s come up with a great idea for a sequel.
“And I still think that Tim gets to decide. I don’t think there’s any idea that would convince him.
That being said, “It might be more interesting to do a prequel. There might be a more interesting story there about how Jack became the King of Halloweentown.”

‘We remain friends’ Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden split after 5 years of marriage

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have split up.
The soap star power couple – who have three children, Buster, 13, Bowie, eight, and Ace, four – have gone their separate ways just five years after they tied the knot, but they will “remain friends”.
Charley – who is best known for playing Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap – wrote on her Instagram Story: “It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate.
“We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time.”
Earlier this month, Charley admitted on Instagram she was “ignoring life”.
She posted a selfie on the photo-sharing app and added the caption: “Ignoring life and all the jobs I need to do. Also I want more piercings.”
The 35-year-old actress’ comments come just a few weeks after their 15-year relationship came into question when it was reported Matthew – who recently departed his role of Emmerdale’s David Metcalfe – had unfollowed Charley on Instagram, and they were said to be living separate lives.
A source told The Sun Online: “Charley and Matthew were in very different places in their lives when they first got together.
“Three kids later and with new careers in the mix, everything has changed and perhaps they are no longer the unit they once were.”
The pair first met on the ‘Emmerdale’ set in 2006, and got engaged in 2009.
They split in 2013 for two years, but late reconciled and married in a surprise ceremony at Ripley Castle, Yorkshire in 2018 – when friends thought they were attending Charley’s 30th birthday party.
Speaking about the occasion, Charley previously said: “That moment when we announced what we were doing and seeing everybody’s reaction is the best moment of my life.”

Josie Gibson’s 3-year struggle to land first TV job saw her reach out to 72 PEOPLE

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson reached out to a staggering 72 people over three years in a bid to land a job on TV – until ‘This Morning’ offered her a role.
The 38-year-old TV presenter shot to fame in 2010 when she won the 11th series of ‘Big Brother’, but following her reality TV win, it took her a while to land a job on the small screen, until the brunch-time show’s bosses offered her a role presenting competitions on the programme.
Josie is now taking part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ – and is favourite to win the show.
When asked by campmate Fred Sirieix if she thought her ‘Big Brother’ win would lead to where she is today, she replied: “Never in a million years, no.
“I wrote a bucket list when I was with my auntie and on that bucket list it said ‘be on tv’.
“I auditioned for ‘Big Brother’, ended up winning it. When I came out I tried and I tried and I tried and I tried for three years.
“I remember all the people I’d reached out to and it was like 72 people over three years … one day, ‘This Morning’ gave me a job.
“They give me one day for a couple of minutes, then they give me another day for a couple more minutes, then they give me a day for a couple more minutes … and then they would give me more and more and more and challenge me and challenge me and challenge me and then one day I got the call, I was on my way to a competition in work and I got the call to host ‘This Morning’.”
Josie thought the ‘This Morning’ bosses were “joking” when she was offered the chance to present the programme.
She said: “Everybody was ill … I honestly thought they were joking.”
Asked if she was nervous about co-hosting the live show, she said: “I didn’t really have time to be. I had 15 mins to get ready.
“I went straight in, had 15 mins in make-up and then straight to the studio floor. So I didn’t have time to be nervous.”
Josie stepped into co-host ‘This Morning’ with Phillip Schofield in November 2021, after Holly Willoughby was struck down with a stomach bug.
Speaking to Phillip on the show at the time, she said: “I couldn’t believe it. I thought they had the wrong number, Phil. I said, ‘You’ve phoned Josie.’
“But yeah, how surreal. I’ve grown up watching the show and now I’m sat alongside you.
“I’ve been thrown in the deep end, but I’ve got the best armbands on the planet. That’s what I say.”
Just two years on, Josie is now a regular ‘This Morning’ presenter and Phil and Holly have both departed the show.

‘My Achilles is shot to bits!’ Vernon Kay’s Ultramarathon raises over 6 million for Children in Need

OHMYGOSSIP — Vernon Kay has raised more than £6 million for Children in Need following his Ultra Ultramarathon.
The BBC Radio 2 presenter returned to his day job on the airwaves on Wednesday (22.11.23), and told how his Achilles is “shot to bits” following his incredible feat, which saw him run 116 miles from Leicester to Bolton over four days.
Speaking to Zoe Ball on Radio 2, he said: “My Achilles is shot to bits, that’s completely gone, I’ve got to have a little bit of work on that.
“The knees are achy, calves are sore, thighs and quads, gluteus maximus is a little bit achy as well.
“But that’s to be expected. And apart from that … we raised six million quid!”
Just before Vernon began his show, he praised the “huge team effort” during his challenge, and thanked everyone who donated to the cause.
He said: “I just want to say before I start the show, before we crack on, before we get back to normality, last week was an experience that I will never, ever, ever forget and it was a huge team effort.
“And at the beginning of the journey, Chloe (who’s in the fishbowl) will remember that I said that there’s a famous quote from an American Football head coach (I’m a big NFL fan) called Bill Belichick, and his mantra is ‘Do your Job’.
“If you do your job then every cog in the machine will work perfectly and everything will be fine. Every single person on this journey to six million pounds has done their job absolutely perfectly.
“And I mean everyone – at Radio 2, all the DJs, all the production staff that came on the journey, everyone that drove the socials, everyone who was mobile with the microphones, all the team […] getting back in touch with London, every single Radio 2 DJ who embraced it, was absolutely awesome.
“But, my biggest thank you goes to every single person who donated. Every single Radio 2 listener who embraced this as much as I did, and followed us on the journey.
“I’ve had so many heartfelt messages, I’ve had so many personal stories come my way. It means the world to us all, not just me … I ran, yes, but the team effort, the team effort from everyone has been outstanding. And we managed to raise six million pounds for Children in Need.”
Helen Thomas, Head of Radio 2, added: “It’s fantastic to welcome Vernon back to his day job on mid mornings on Radio 2 after his incredible feat in aid of BBC Children in Need.
“Thanks also go to the generous Radio 2 listeners, who not only came out in their thousands to cheer Vernon on during his Ultra Ultramarathon, but who have now raised over £6m for the charity.”

‘She was texting me at school!’ Denise Van Outen’s daughter thought she was doing I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Van Outen’s daughter had to text her mum to check if she was taking part in this year’s series of ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 49-year-old TV presenter admitted this year, more than ever, she was inundated with messages asking if she was heading to the Australian jungle for the ITV show – and even her own daughter Betsy, 13, quizzed her about the programme when she was at school.
During an episode of ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’, the host asked Denise how she felt about constantly being linked to the ITV programme.
Host Steph McGovern said: “Every year you are rumoured to be going in the jungle, aren’t you?”
Denise replied: “Every year! And my phone, I don’t know why this year, more than ever, everybody was messaging me going, ‘Are you going in the jungle?’
Even my own daughter! She was texting me at school.”
‘Sunday Brunch’ chef Simon Rimmer, who was also a guest on the Channel 4 show, is desperate to see the 49-year-old star on the programme, insisting she would be “fun”.
He said: “I’d love to see you in there though, you’d be brilliant because you’d just be fun.”
But Denise isn’t too keen to take part in the dreaded Bushtucker Trials, especially the eating trials.
She said: “I have done a trial though, I did one because I did the spin-off show. And I’m very brave but – yeah, no I just haven’t – I’ve had enough … I was going to say I’ve had enough anus to eat!”
Steph – who has lived with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) since she was young – agreed with Denise, and said she would also refuse to appear on the show due to the trials.
She explained: “This is why I couldn’t do it. Could you imagine me with my bowels? You wouldn’t see me for the rest of the series because I’d be in that loo!”
Denise then joked: “Stay clear of the dunny!”

Michael Mann: House of Gucci did not influence Adam Driver’s Ferrari casting

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Mann insists that Adam Driver’s role in ‘House of Gucci’ had no influence on his casting in ‘Ferrari’.
The 40-year-old star portrays Enzo Ferrari in Mann’s biopic about the founder of the iconic Italian car manufacturer but the director explained how Driver’s performance as the murdered Italian fashion designer Maurizio Gucci in Sir Ridley Scott’s 2021 film had “nothing to do” with his casting choice.
Michael told Entertainment Weekly: “No, the Gucci movie had nothing to do with it. I met with him well before I saw ‘House of Gucci’.
“There’s a real-world, factual intelligence to Adam. He’s somebody who, in his own personal history, has lived life. I sense the strength and the artistic integrity coupled with a pretty fierce artistic ambition as an actor. It’s not political or charming, which I like a lot. It’s just there and strong.
“It felt to me that he would understand Enzo Ferrari.”
The ‘Heat’ director explained that physical appearance is a “secondary” factor when it comes to choosing the stars of his movies.
He said: “I make casting decisions based on that perception of what’s going on inside. The physical manifestation, the physical look, that’s craft work, that’s secondary.
“So, it’s not like I had to find somebody who looked like Enzo Ferrari. Nobody looks like Enzo Ferrari.”
Michael explained that he wanted audiences to “experience” the racing scenes in the film which follows Ferrari’s personal and professional struggles in the summer of 1957.
He said: “A director could approach racing with long lenses and have these beautiful, idyllic shots of distant cars moving through a couple of chicanes on a mountain road, but I didn’t want that because it pushed the audience back into being observers. I didn’t want them observing, I wanted them experiencing. So, that determined everything.
“We designed and engineered some very complicated and very effective camera systems, which plugged into the tubular chassis beneath the sheet metal of the cars so that we could actually move cameras all over moving cars going 120 miles an hour. We didn’t use trickery or CGI or something to generate the speed.”

Jenna Ortega exits Scream 7 due to scheduling conflicts

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Ortega will not be returning for ‘Scream VII’.
The 21-year-old actress has starred as Tara Carpenter in the previous two installments of the slasher franchise but will not feature in the next flick due to a scheduling conflict with the second season of the Netflix series ‘Wednesday’ – in which she plays the title role of Wednesday Addams.
Jenna’s exit is unrelated to the firing of Melissa Barrera, who plays Tara’s half-sister Sam Carpenter, from the film over comments she made regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.
It is understood that Ortega’s departure from ‘Scream’ was discussed prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike as she needs to go to Ireland to film ‘Wednesday’ in April, which will continue into the summer of next year.
The ‘Yes Day’ actress also has to complete filming for ‘Beetlejuice 2’ as she portrays Lydia Deetz’s daughter in Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel.
The exits of Ortega and Barrera leave ‘Scream’ bosses tasked with a creative overhaul for the next picture and producers are said to be keen on the return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott after she did not feature in ‘Scream VI’ due to a salary dispute.
Patrick Dempsey, who featured in the 2000 movie ‘Scream 3’ as Detective Mark Kincaid, has also been suggested as a possible casting.
However, none of these stars have been in active negotiations for the project.
Meanwhile, Melissa has broken her silence following Spyglass Media Group’s decision to dismiss her for social media posts in support of Palestine.
In a statement shared on Instagram Stories, the ‘In The Heights’ star said: “First and foremost I condemn Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. I condemn hate and prejudice of any kind against any group of people.
“As a Latina, a proud Mexicana, I feel the responsibility of having a platform that allows me the privilege of being heard, and therefore I have tried to use it to raise awareness about issues I care about and lend my voice to those in need.
“Every person on this earth – regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or socio-economic status – deserves equal human rights, dignity and, of course, freedom.”
Melissa added: “I believe a group of people are NOT their leadership, and that no governing body should be above criticism. I pray day and night for no more deaths, for no more violence, and for peaceful co-existence. I will continue to speak out for those that need it most and continue to advocate for peace and safety, for human rights and freedom.
“Silence is not an option for me.”

Gemma Atkinson to take Gorka Marquez’s name when they marry but her love ‘won’t change’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Atkinson says marrying her fiance Gorka Marquez “won’t change” how much love she has for him – but she will be taking his name.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress admitted getting married is “much more significant” for the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro dancer, who has told her he will “love [her] more” when they are husband and wife.
During a conversation with dating coach Abi Blears on ‘The Overshare’ podcast it was suggested that research indicates “women don’t need marriage or relationships quite as much as men do”, and Gemma replied: “I do get that. I genuinely do.
“No, because I think sometimes women are more independent than their men within a marriage.
“I think men like to be needed and wanted, it’s a nice feeling to know that someone relies on you, someone depends on you, someone wants you … maybe I’m just speaking about me and Gorka.
“In my case, we will get married, but it won’t change how I feel for him.
“I love him so much anyway, whereas he sees it as I’m going to love her so much more. And I think how can you love me more?
“I mean, nothing’s going to change other than will have the same name. But it’s so much more significant for him.”
Gemma also admitted Gorka – who she has four-year-old daughter Mia and four-month-old baby Thiago with – cannot wait to share the same name as her, but he would be happy to tie the knot in a registry office “tomorrow” rather than have a big bash.
Asked if Gorka is interested in having a big wedding, Gemma replied: “No, he’d go to a registry office tomorrow and do it.
“He just says, ‘I would love the fact that we’ve all got the same name. It’s a family unit,’ where I see, the fact that we’ve had two babies is more of a commitment than just me having his name.”
The couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2021, after Gorka popped the question.
Gemma wrote on social media at the time: “Valentine’s forever … Of course I said yes (sic)”
Gorka shared online: “The best day with my forever Valentine’s … I asked and she said YES!!!!!! … Happy Valentine’s Day everyone (sic)”
The Overshare with Gemma Atkinson is available to listen to on all podcast platforms.

Rylan Clark sometimes presented BBC Radio 2 show in the nude

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark hosted his BBC Radio 2 show without underwear on during the coronavirus pandemic.
The 35-year-old TV star used to regularly dress down for the programme when he was working from home during the COVID pandemic, because only his voice was being broadcast.
During a conversation with his ‘This Morning’ co-host Alison Hammond about working from home in pyjamas, Rylan said: “I remember during COVID, I was doing my radio show from my house because we weren’t allowed in the studio and I did BBC radio 2 in my underwear.”
Alison was taken aback, and said: “Stop it, but at least you put a top on.”
Rylan dismissed the idea of wearing a shirt and joked that he decided he didn’t need to get dressed at times, because no one could see him.
He said: “No, no one could see me it was just my voice. I’m sat there in my pants, I mean sometimes I might not have them on.”
Earlier this year, Rylan stepped back from his BBC Radio 2 job after his mother had a bad fall, resulting in her needing surgery.
Taking to X, he told fans at the time: “So unfortunately I took my mum away on her first holiday in a good few years and sadly she’s had quite a bad fall, resulting in her having to have a surgery out here.
“She’s not in the best health with her other conditions and this has made it more complicated. My priority at the moment is my mum. Cheers Scott for covering me at Radio 2 and thanks to the people out here that have sent their well wishes.”
He has since returned to the Radio 2 airwaves, and has recently been guest co-hosting on ‘This Morning’ alongside the likes of Alison and Josie Gibson.

Dawn French undergoes knee surgery 14 years after recreating Vicar of Dibley puddle stunt

OHMYGOSSIP — Dawn French has undergone knee replacement surgery – 14 years after injuring the joint by re-creating her famous ‘Vicar of Dibley’ puddle stunt.
The 66-year-old comedian played Reverend Geraldine Granger in the classic BBC sitcom, and she famously ended up submerged in muddy water when her character jumped into a deep puddle in the 1999 special ‘Autumn’, before repeating the stunt once again in the 2006 finale ‘The Handsome Stranger’.
But in 2009, the ‘French and Saunders’ star recreated the jump once again for a guest-host appearance on ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’, and her third attempt at the plunging skit left her knee “twisted like a pretzel”.
Dawn has now gone under the knife to fix her knee.
She posted a picture of her new knee on Instagram, and wrote in the caption: “It’s done. New knee is in. Now we start the healing…”
Dawn recently opened up about how recreating the puddle stunt had left her in pain for years.
In her new book, she wrote: “A surgeon gave me an injection to the knee with a steroid and lubricant. Eventually I’d need a knee replacement, but I could have three of these injections. I limped through life in a big vat of denial for ages, dragging my crumbly left knee about, knowing I only had two, and then one more pop.
“That is why you should always write down what the doctor tells you.
“I have been suffering for many years for no reason. The surgery is booked for just before Christmas!”
Dawn previously explained that while performing the stunt on the teatime chat show, she crashed onto a concrete floor in what she described as a “disaster” waiting to happen.
She told MailOnline: “The idea was that there was a long enough drop for me to disappear into. Then some bright spark had the idea of having a shallow silicon membrane containing two inches of water on top of that. As I jumped through, the water would splash up and look like a deep puddle. But what was I falling onto? The answer is absolutely nothing. Except for 10ft below, there were two very thin crash mats in a film studio with a flat concrete floor. Any fool would know this was a disaster in the making. Any fool but me.”

Jack Fowler scoops 50k after winning inaugural Love Island Games series

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Fowler has won the first-ever series of ‘Love Island Games’.
The former ‘Love Island’ star – who took part in the fourth series of the UK dating show – coupled up with ‘Love Island USA’ season two winner Justine Ndiba in the inaugural season of the programme, which saw former contestants, who had previously appeared on ‘Love Island’ series worldwide, compete for “another shot at love”.
Jack and Justine hooked up on the first day of the new spin-off show, and they were worthy winners of the $100,000 prize after being the only couple to remain together for the whole 17 days of the series.
When presented with the possibility of keeping the $100k or splitting it, Justine said: “I wouldn’t have been able to get here without Jack. My family could really use this.
“I just feel like the connection I felt with Jack this time was a lot more real than the last time.
“[Jack] had a rough time in here, and I feel like we both really deserve it, so I’m going to split it.”
Jack told Justine: “Money is not everything. Just to be here with you doing this is more than that.”
The couple celebrated by calling themselves “champions”.
In a video posted on Jack’s Instagram Story, Justine could be heard telling him, “Babe, you’re such a champion.”
He said: “I’m a what?”
She replied: “A champion.”
He then said: “And are you a champion?” And she burst out laughing.
Jack wrote on his Story: “We did that!!!!! Champions!!! Thank you so much for allllll that love and support (sic)”
Former ‘Love Island’ star Eyal Booker and his partner Cely Vazquez narrowly missed out on a place in the final.
They were eliminated just before the finale after the previously dumped ‘Love Island Games’ stars returned to decide which two couples should make it through to the final alongside Justine and Jack, who had won a semi-final challenge to progress.
Former ‘Love Island USA’ star Johnny Middlebrooks and ex ‘Love Island Germany’ star Aurelia Lamprecht finished as runners up to Justine and Jack.
Love Island Australia’s Callum Hole and former ‘Love Island USA’ star Deb Chubb were third.
Aurelia and Deb’s podium finishes were particularly impressive considering they had only been in the villa for five days.

Patrick Dempsey finally reveals real accent in Thanksgiving

OHMYGOSSIP — Patrick Dempsey finally gets to use his real accent in ‘Thanksgiving’.
The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Enchanted’ star plays Sheriff Eric Newlon in Eli Roth’s new holiday horror as he investigates a series of gruesome murders in Plymouth, Massachusetts, and it marks the first time he’s ever been able to speak in his actual voice on screen.
Filmmaker Roth told MovieWeb: “Boston guys, we love the accent. And even if you don’t have it, you still love it, or you grew up with it.
“Certain kids had it like wicked hardcore, other kids less so. And when Patrick Dempsey reached out to me about being in the film, he said, ‘Should I do a New England accent?’
“I was like, ‘Well, one of my pet peeves, I hate movies where someone tries to do a Boston accent and fails, it ruins the movie for me.’
“And he goes, ‘No, no, I grew up in Maine. I got like a light accent.’ And I’m like, ‘Are you? That’s perfect.’ He goes, ‘I had to lose that accent when I became an actor.’
“This is the first time Patrick Dempsey ever used his real accent in a film. He really talks like that.”
The mysterious killer in the movie is nicknamed John Caver and sports a mask inspired by the well-known pilgrim and first governor of Plymouth colony.
Roth admitted there was another New England connection when another cast member revealed she was actually one of his direct descendants.
Recalling her audition, he added: “I’m like, ‘How are you so good?’ ‘She’s like, I’m from Hanover.’
“She goes, ‘Not only that. I’m a descendant of John Carver. He’s an uncle.’ I’m like, what? She’s a direct descendant.
“The woman who is in the diner is a direct descendant of John Carver. So we have people with authentic accents.”

Nicholas Hoult ‘lands Lex Luthor role in Superman Legacy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicholas Hoult is said to have landed the role of Lex Luthor in ‘Superman: Legacy’.
David Corenswet is to portray the titular role in James Gunn’s forthcoming film, and Rachel Brosnahan will appear as Lois Lane.
Several sources have told Deadline that Hoult is in line to portray Luthor – the arch-nemesis of Superman – in the motion picture, which is due for worldwide release on July 11, 2025.
Just last week, it was confirmed Maria Gabriela De Faria will portray villain The Engineer in the movie.
The 31-year-old actress confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a picture of the publication’s article.
She wrote: “Now you know why I’ve been workout out like a crazy person.
@jamesgunn made me a super hero.”
Director Gunn recently confirmed the release of ‘Superman: Legacy’ will not be delayed by the recent Hollywood strikes.
He wrote on the social media platform X: “Thanks to the efforts of our talented crew, who never lost faith during the longest strikes in Hollywood history, and who never let their foot off the pedal, continuing to barrel forward, creating the most amazing character and set designs I’ve seen in my entire career, ‘Superman: Legacy’ will be making the originally planned release date of July 11, 2025.”
The movie has benefitted from some fortuitous timing as the filmmaker had completed the script prior to the writers’ strike, while the castings of Corenswet and Brosnahan were confirmed before actors took industrial action.
Plot details for the superhero movie are minimal, but Gunn has explained that the film will focus on a younger iteration of the character played by Henry Cavill in previous films.

David Tennant reveals original scrapped plan for Doctor Who comeback

OHMYGOSSIP — David Tennant was originally meant to return to ‘Doctor Who’ for a flashback episode.
The 52-year-old actor is back for three special episodes as part of the BBC show’s 60th anniversary celebrations, and while he’ll be playing the new Fourteenth Doctor rather than reprising his role as the Tenth, that wasn’t always the case.
He told Radio Times magazine: “It would have been an unseen adventure from years before.
“[Showrunner Russell T. Davies] immediately had an idea for a story, which I’m not going to mention because I don’t think it’s yet seen the light of day.
“It certainly wouldn’t have been part of an ongoing story. But I hope one day he does use it, because it sounded great.”
Initially, his comeback alongside Catherine Tate (Donna Noble) would have been set during season four, but the duo will instead return in new episodes ‘The Star Beast’, ‘Wild Blue Yonder’ and ‘The Giggle’.
While the latter will mark the end of Tennant’s latest run in the TARDIS as Ncuti Gatwa takes over as the Fifteenth Doctor.
However, he has admitted there is always a chance he could return in the future.
Speaking to SFX magazine, he recently said: “I think it would be disingenuous to imagine that I might never be asked again, because history would indicate that it was always a possibility.
“So I’m not going to say never because I don’t think anyone would believe me.
“That doesn’t mean I know that I ever will. But I suppose until I can’t run down a corridor it’s always a possibility. But I promise to have no plans.”
Earlier this month, incoming star Ncuti admitted he “wasn’t able to enjoy” filming ‘Doctor Who’.
He told the December/ January issue of British GQ: “It was annoying.
“I just wasn’t able to enjoy things anymore because [from the] outside, I can see that this is amazing, and oh, my God, you work with amazing people, and it’s a great opportunity, but I just felt like I was trying to get to the end, the finish line.”
