Bradley Cooper’s lengthy Maestro transformation

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper wore 137 individual prosthetics in ‘Maestro’.
The 48-year-old actor portrays late legendary conductor Leonard Bernstein in the movie and he worked closely with make-up effects expert Kazu Hiro – who won an Oscar for his work with Gary Oldman in ‘Darkest Hour’ – for his dramatic transformation, spending five hours in the make-up chair to alter his appearance each day.
Kazu devised four full sets of prosthetics and two bodysuits to document the New York Philharmonic music director – who died in 1990 aged 72 -over the passing over time from the early days of his career in 1943 up until the last years of his life.
He told People magazine: “All in all, I crafted 137 individual pieces, ranging from small to large.”
And it wasn’t just Bernstein’s physical appearance Bradley was trying to transform, as the effects expert constructed a special nose plug for the actor which, as well as changing the shape of his hooter, altered his intonations so his voice could more closely mimic the nasal tones of the music legend.
Kazy said: “Bradley’s transparency and relentless pursuit of perfection were awe-inspiring.”
Costume designer Mark Bridges studied photos of Bernstein to recreate his outfits.
He said: “He looked so smashing, and if it works, don’t fix it.”
The transformation left the composer’s three children, Jamie, 71, Alexander, 68, and 61-year-old Nina, stunned.
Jamie said: “We had no idea that Bradley had this level of intensity and commitment about a thing when he got it in his grip. There are even certain moments in the film, when he’s in motion, where he looks so exactly like our dad it makes us gasp.”
The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ star was in constant contact with the Bernstein family as he worked on the movie, which he also directed.
Jamie said: “The way he embraced us as he went along in this project — he was so open-hearted. We wound up feeling like we could trust him.”

Joel Kinnaman attempted not to talk for two months for Silent Night

OHMYGOSSIP — Joel Kinnaman attempted to give up talking for two months while working on his movie ‘Silent Night’.
The actor plays a grieving father who loses his voice in a shooting which kills his son and he doesn’t have any dialogue as his character goes on a silent revenge rampage in a bid to avenge his death – so Joel decided to embrace the method acting technique by refusing to speak for the whole shoot.
During an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, Joel said he decided to “go full method on this one” and then had to break the news to his fiancée Kelly Gale.
He added: “[I told her] ‘Listen, this is gonna be a tough one for our relationship. I’m not gonna talk for the whole shoot and not talk with you either. So we’re not gonna have any communication’.
“[She eventually said] ‘This is a sacrifice that I will do. And, you know, we will figure out a way to do this.”
However, Joel admitted he broke the rules short after getting to Mexico City – where the movie was being filmed – and decided to call Kelly because he was feeling lonely and he said she told him: “You’re supposed to be silent the whole two months”.
He then vowed to stop talking on his first day on set, but that didn’t last long either. Joel added: “Then the first day of shooting starts, and I get in the car. Super quiet the whole car ride to set. And then, I get into the makeup trailer and everyone’s, like, hanging out and, like, talking, and I’m sitting there in the make-up trailer.
“I had a really, really intense silent car ride to set. The car ride was basically the whole thing, you know? So that kind of charged me up with enough silence that I needed for the rest of the shoot.”
‘Silent Night’ is released on December 1.

Corrie star Elle Mulvaney ‘worries’ her mum will leak storylines

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Mulvaney “worries” her mum will let slip her upcoming ‘Coronation Street’ storylines.
The 21-year-old actress has played the role of Amy Barlow on the ITV1 soap opera since 2010 and has seen her character go through a number of dramatic storylines over the years but while she thinks her dad will be “okay” when it comes to keeping shtum, worries that it would be her mum that would “leak” future plot details out.
She told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “It’s always a worry – letting it slip. I think my mum would leak it but my dad is okay. My dad actually does all my scripts with me so it’s really hard not to let things slip when he’s reading it.”
In recent weeks, Amy has seen her romance with Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) blossom but has also been part of a major kidnap plot and Elle went on to add that it is “so nice” to be trusted with high-profile storylines by the writers.
She said: “I’ve grown up in the show so it’s nice to be given the nod of confidence that they trust me and they want me to do big things. It’s exciting. I have been really lucky. It’s great getting to do all these stunts. There has been a lot going on. It’s just nice to get to do something different. Adam [Hussain] is great who plays Aadi. I mean it’s just great fun isn’t it – getting to do a night shoot with one of your mates. What more can I ask for? We have had a laugh.”
Elle also teased that when it comes to Christmas, Amy – who is the daughter of Street villain Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and taxi driver Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson – will be growing “closer” to Aadi which will make for an “exciting” festive period.

Joe Swash to make EastEnders comeback for Christmas special

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Swash is to front an ‘EastEnders’ special for Christmas.
The 41-year-old TV star played Mickey Miller on the BBC One soap opera from 2003 until 2008 before making a brief comeback in 2011 and is now set to host a one-off special which will see him explore the lives of the six matriarchs involved in the latest Whodunnit? storyline.
He said: “I absolutely loved being back in my old stomping ground!”
Joe will be seen grilling Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Letitia Dean, Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) as part of ‘EastEnders: The Six’, which will air on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer in the run-up to the Christmas Day episode.
Since leaving his role on ‘EastEnders’, Joe – who is married to ‘Loose Women’ panellist Stacey Solomon – went on to win the 2008 series of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ and these days has a career in television presenting but revealed earlier this year that he would be happy to return to the soap if the call came.
When asked by Carol Vorderman ‘I’m A Celebrity… South Africa’ about whether he would want to head back to Walford, he said: “I wouldn’t mind it.
“You know exactly what you’re doing, when you’re doing it, how you’re doing it.
“But they’ve never asked me mate, not once.”
The former ‘Dancing on Ice’ winner thougt he had the “worst” exit ever, and he didn’t ever have to act out one of the famous “doof doof” ending scenes in his five years on the soap.
He added: “I had the worst outro ever! I didn’t even leave at the end of the episode.
“So usually you leave at the end of the episode and you get the ‘doof doof’.
“Mine, I went to Norwich to be a bell boy at a hotel and mid scene I just walked into the Vic and went, ‘Right, see you later’.
“They turned back to Phil, turned back to me and I’d gone.
“I was like ‘What, that’s it?’ I was there five years and not one doof doof!”

Jodie Whittaker reveals whether she would return to Doctor Who

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker would be “very happy” to return to ‘Doctor Who’.
The 41-year-old actress finished her stint on the BBC sci-fi show earlier this year, with ‘Sex Education’ star Ncuti Gatwa ready to take her place next year.
But despite her time as the Doctor coming to a close, Jodie admitted she would be “very happy” to pick up the Sonic Screwdriver once again.
She told Metro newspaper’s SixtySeconds column: “I mean there’s just no debate. For me, it’s my absolute happiness.
“It was the most incredible time, it’s the most incredible role. Thankfully you were always treated as the Doctor whether you were the current one or not, so I would be very happy to put on my Doctor’s coat again.”
The TV star also gushed about the 60th Anniversary Special of the show, which will see David Tennant and Catherine Tate return to face off against Neil Patrick Harris’ dreaded Toymaker tomorrow evening on BBC One.
She said: “I can’t wait, and also it’s the first time for me being a Whovian.
“I didn’t grow up in a Whovian house and we didn’t watch it, so it’s the first time now for me that I am full-on fan with no stress attached.”
After leaving the T.A.R.D.I.S, Jodie signed for the ITV drama ‘One Night’, where she will star alongside Bella Ramsey in a harrowing story about surviving sexual assault.
The ‘St Trinian’s’ actress said the “poetic” writing of the show allowed her to become completely engrossed in the story.
She explained: “I’ve read or seen a lot of drams that have that [sexual assault] within its storyline. What made this completely engrossing was the change of point of view.
“Very often it’s told from the outside in – there’s an investigation, there are detectives … but this is about how the event is defining for a group of women that it affects, and how we all survive something like that and who has the right to tell stories, especially if that story is true.
“I think Emily Ballou’s writing is so poetic and beautiful.”

Frankie Dettori had eye surgery before joining I’m A Celeb

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Dettori had lens implants fitted after admitting his vision was degenerated.
The jockey, 52, underwent the procedure before joining ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’, so he is completely ready to face all of the challenges the ITV show will throw at him.
He told The Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’ve had some lenses put inside. It was a simple procedure.
“Obviously, you know, time heals things. The bright light really affected me. Especially in the mornings when my eyes were still tender.
“But it’s the best thing I’ve done, actually, I can read without my glasses and can see long, it’s great. I’m glad I did it.”
The sporting star made his debut appearance on the ITV programme on Thursday night (23.11.23) where he had to race against former boxing champion Tony Bellew to move five pairs of pig testicles across an appropriately-challenging course.
Frankie told the publication that his children were nervous of seeing him embarrassing himself, though that is likely exactly what happened after last night.
He said: “I got the same message, ‘Dad, don’t be embarrassing.’
“I said, ‘I can’t promise that.’ I don’t know what that means, but all five of them said, ‘Dad, don’t be embarrassing!’
Although his stint on the show may make his children cringe, the jockey said that he wanted to take the opportunity to appear on the show before he retires and fades into a “nobody”.
He explained: “I’ll be honest here, it’s not about the money, I was doing it, you know.. I’ve been asked so many times to do it.
“At the moment in my career in racing, I don’t think I can get any higher or bigger so to be opportunity to say right you know if I let this opportunity go this time then perhaps when I’m retired and a nobody, then I might not get another chance.
“I was asked to do the show many a times, but actually, I always say, no, because I never actually had the time, but now that I do have the time and I’m embracing it, you know, I’m the first one to say that, I’m nervous. Excited, scared, all of those. That is, I think, if I didn’t feel there won’t be human.”

‘It was just a gift’: Natalie Portman relished her May December role

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman landed her “dream role” in ‘May December’.
The 42-year-old star features in Todd Haynes-directed film as actress Elizabeth Berry – who visits the notorious tabloid figure Gracie Atherton-Yoo (Julianne Moore) as she is set to play her in a film.
Gracie hit the headlines after entering a relationship with a 12-year-old boy and the pair have married in the 20 years since. However, Elizabeth’s visit highlights the fractures in the pair’s relationship and Natalie felt that the project was a “gift” for her to appear in.
Natalie told the Variety Awards Circuit Podcast: “There are so many refractions that all mirrors the work Todd put into it.
“How you see the characters with Samy (Burch’s) writing, where it switches as soon as you think you know something about them. You’re not sure or comfortable about who you’re supposed to be feeling. It was just a gift to get to do.”
‘May December’ has been described as a dark comedy in some quarters but Natalie does not consider the movie to be humorous.
The Oscar-winning actress said: “I mean… ‘everyone’s crazy’ is the summary of every story.
“I saw that, but I think Todd’s vision for it is like the music he chose. It was so unexpected and nothing I ever imagined while reading it. That creates a very unsettling tone with humour, but I wouldn’t say it is funny. It’s more than this tone if you’re in a strange, unsettling world.”
Natalie both stars in and produces the movie and she has been “inspired” by fellow actresses Reese Witherspoon and Margot Robbie working on both sides of the camera.
She said: “It’s the best, and seeing my peers do it inspires me. Reese is one of the biggest role models and inspiration. It’s incredible seeing Margot Robbie and Emma Stone also doing it; I think there are many people this year who’ve been helping create.”

Emerald Fennell was inspired by Psycho as she made Saltburn

OHMYGOSSIP — Emerald Fennell took inspiration from ‘Psycho’ when making ‘Saltburn’.
The 38-year-old director has helmed the psychological thriller and suggested that both the tone and casting of Barry Keoghan in the lead role were influenced by Sir Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film.
Asked if she had ‘Psycho’ in mind while crafting her movie, Emerald told SlashFilm: “Always. (‘Psycho’ star Anthony Perkins) was also a heartthrob. That’s who Alfred Hitchcock cast, a heartthrob, teen heartthrob, for that part.
“People forget that because (‘Psycho’ is) what he’s so famous for, and it kind of, in many ways, made his career very difficult after that because nobody could ever see him as anything but sinister. But before that, he was a beautiful boy that everyone fancied.
“That kind of decision is so crucial for that empathy and that connection and that using of an audience’s prior relationship with the genre, with an actor, is something I always love to do.”
Emerald has form for making provocative movies after directing ‘Promising Young Woman’ and explained that she sets out to get audiences to “emotionally connect” to her work.
‘The Crown’ actress said: “It’s a really difficult one because it’s hard to talk about it without sounding facetious. But it’s very easy to be provocative.
“I mean, you could show all sorts of stuff and get a reaction from people. The thing that I’m interested in is making people emotionally connect with something that’s difficult. And it’s the same thing about this movie.”
Emerald continued: “I’m not setting out to be provocative because I think that would be quite boring. But I’m setting out to be honest and unsparing, and I’m not frightened of people not liking it.
“I mind if people don’t appreciate the craft or they think I haven’t done my homework, or they think I’ve made decisions that aren’t deliberate. That gets my goat, because that’s a different argument. But if you don’t like it, I don’t mind.”

Dan Walker enjoyed Strictly much more than he expected: ‘I thought I’d be gone by week three!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Walker thought he would be eliminated from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in the early stages of the competition.
The 46-year-old journalist was best known as host of ‘BBC Breakfast’ when he took part in the broadcaster’s Latin and ballroom competition in 2021 and never imagined that he and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova would end up in fifth place.
Speaking on the ‘White Wine Question Time’ podcast, he told former ‘Loose Women’ anchor Kate Thornton: “I think I enjoyed it 10 times more than I thought I would. As someone who loves live telly as well, ‘Strictly’ is the biggest show on the box and they basically employed everyone who is brilliant at their jobs to come together, whether that is wardrobe, makeup, hair, lighting, floor managers.
“I expected to be there for three weeks and I was there for three months.
“It was like playing a game; these programmes are very heavily produced and nobody had seen me dance before I’d started. They’ve got no idea how big you’re gonna be.
“In their mind, they thought ‘Oh he’ll be here for four or five weeks maximum, people kind of like him. They watch him on ‘Breakfast’. Then we’ll get rid of him!’ But I enjoy pushing myself, I love being tested and I love spending time with people who are brilliant at what they do.
Dan now presents 5 News on Channel 5 and went on to add that he has even taken the skills he learned in the ballroom back into the news studio.
He said: “Watching these people who are brilliant at what they do, I always think ‘I can learn something from you’. I think ‘You’ve spent a lifetime learning that skill, I can take something from you and that can make me better at what I do!’ I saw Nadiya a few weeks ago and told her she had made me a better presenter.
“I walk differently, she changed my walk in week one. But I also think that it gives me confidence.”

Former Strictly winner Rose Ayling-Ellis reportedly to star in new TV crime drama

OHMYGOSSIP — Rose Ayling-Ellis will take on the leading role in a new crime drama.
According to Deadline, the former ‘EastEnders’ actress, 29, is to star in a TV adaptation of the first ‘Tuva Moodyson’ novel by Will Dean, ‘Dark Pines’, which follows a deaf journalist attempting to solve mysterious murders in an isolated Swedish town
She said: “As soon as I read Charlotte’s scripts and then dived further into Will’s books, I just knew this was a role I wanted to play and a world I wanted to explore.”
The series, which is being helmed by the studio behind ‘Death in Paradise’, Red Planet Pictures, will also see her act as an executive producer alongside Belinda Campbell, Caroline Skinner and the show’s writer, Charlotte Jones.
As well as ‘Dine Pines’, the former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star revealed last year that she was working on a comedy-drama that centred around the London dating life of a deaf women.
She told Deadline: “This is something that hasn’t been spoken about. We hear a lot about being female and how women appear in the dating scene but as a deaf woman, it’s a very different experience. It will be nice to share that story.”
The TV star is also set to supervise a disabled writers’ room for the project, but has insisted that she will not be the sole writer, as she is currently “engaging with some exciting writers” to ensure the show stays as relatable and honest as possible.
She continued: “There are so many different people in the show and I can’t speak on behalf of their experiences so I wanted a team that could put it all together. I won’t exactly be going to the countryside to spend months writing this.”
Rose is also due to appear in ITV’s upcoming ‘Code of Silence, where she will play a deaf catering worker, Alison Woods, who is struggling to make ends meets while supporting her deaf mum, Julie.
She said: “I am so thrilled to be coming on board for Code of Silence and to get to work with the incredible team at Mammoth Screen.”

Nigel Farage branded a ‘master manipulator’ on I’m A Celeb

OHMYGOSSIP — Nigel Farage has been labelled a “master manipulator” on ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 59-year-old politician is currently taking part in this year’s edition of the ITV1 jungle reality series d an insider has now claimed that some employees on the show feel as if he is managing his time in the Outback as if it were one of his campaigns.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Some crew members might feel they are at odds with Nigel’s political views, but he’s at the heart of all of the interesting conversations, he’s creating storylines and almost self-producing in there.
“But for many the moment he chose to flip his T-shirt was the final straw.
“They feel he’s become a master manipulator who is now running his time on the show like an electoral campaign.
“The crew are feeling torn. They’re all professionals and everyone can recognise Farage can make great telly, but some ae restarting to feel like the show has become a pawn in the politician’s next push for election.”
So far during his time in the jungle, the GB News star tried to debate with YouTuber Nella Rose when she claimed he was “hated by everyone” in the country despite his successful campaign for Brexit in 2016.
He replied: “You can disagree with somebody, but to chuck around accusations the way they’ve been chucked around is grossly unfair. Anti-immigrant, right? No, no, all I’ve said is we cannot go on with the numbers coming to Britain that are coming!”
In the end, Nella and Nigel “agreed to disagree” and ended their debate.
The former UKIP chief recently explained to campmate Grace Dent that he wanted to do a Bushtucker Trial because it would be an extra “twenty five per cent more airtime”, and that he had “an audience to reach.”
The source also confirmed that although Nigel was proving to be a contentious figure on the show, they still wanted to ensure that the programme remained politically unbiased.
They said: “It is always our intention to broadcast a show that is a fair and accurate representation for all of our celebrities.”

Bonnie Langford found intense fame in the 1980s to be ‘too much’: ‘I’m a very private person!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bonnie Langford found intense fame to be “too much” early on in her career.
The 59-year-old actress has been a mainstay on British television since starting out as a child on ‘Opportunity Knocks’ in the 1970s and even though she would have liked a Hollywood career, she reflected that these days she just likes to do work that she can “feel proud” of.
Speaking on the ‘How to Be 60’ podcast, she told ‘Loose Women’ anchor Kaye Adams: “I sort of had all that [fame] a bit in the 1980s, I was on everything. I was literally on everything and now looking back at that, it was too much.
“It was too much. Would I like to have made multi-million dollar movies? Yeah, that would have been nice, I don’t know.
“I just keep going. I just keep going. As long as I can cover my bills and do something that I feel proud of. But there’s times when I don’t. I think ‘Oh, that’s the tax bill!’ or ‘Let’s put that one under the carpet’.”
The West End star went on to add that she used to feel comfortable in being more “open” about her personal life but over the years has found it difficult to “trust” others and while she likes to please people, she often tries to go about her day without making conversation with strangers.
She said: “I went through such a phase when I was an open-book, but that gets used and abused. And you just think ‘Oh no, that’s embarrassing.’ I found it hard to trust people and I thought I was a bit of a joke. You don’t know if people are reacting to you because they think they know you off the telly but there was a time when I thought I was on the telly more than I was at home.
“You do wonder who is seeing you for you or for what it might do for them. I found it hard to trust people.
“You’re gonna get hurt by people, that happens in life anyway, but to do that when you think ‘Who are they talking to? Are they talking to Bonnie Langford or are they talking to Bon?’
“I’m a real people person and I like to make people happy but I do think it’s important to be authentic with people. I don’t let everyone in my home. If I’m meeting someone, I’ll meet them for coffee. I’m really quite private, I’ve got my little doggie and we walk in the park.
“I wear my sweatshirt that says ‘Don’t Speak to Me’, which is the one I had on ‘The Masked Dancer’. It’s really nice having a dog because I know more about the dogs than the people I talk to. You never know the owner’s name, you only know the dog’s name, which is nice.”
In recent years, the former ‘EastEnders’ star has returned to her 1980s role of Mel Bush in ‘Doctor Who’ and admitted that she never expected she would ever get the chance to revisit a character who she initially thought was “a bit boring and weird” the first time round.
She added: “Life never ceases to amaze me. The fact that 37 years ago I was in ‘Doctor Who’ and now I’m in it again. No way in hell would I have said that. It’s time travel, isn’t it?
“And I was terrible really in that show. It was a very different time. It was like the ‘Crossroads’ or the ‘Acorn Antiques’ for sci-fi. But it had this wonderful charm. I completely walked away from it as you would any job, you just get on with the next. And it’s kept coming back to me ‘Doctor Who’, and now I’m just really pleased that I can be part of this new Whoniverse, as they call it.
“It really is fantastically written, produced and all those things that it didn’t have before. I’m a bit nervous about it because the ‘Doctor Who’ fans are very passionate.
“They have very fixed opinions about what they want and what they like, and they will voice that.
“However, I get the chance to get to reinvent this character that was a bit boring and weird and earnest, a bit squeaky. Maybe we can make her a bit better, maybe we can flesh her out a little bit and make her a bit more interesting so that’s always interesting.”

Saturday Kitchen star Russell Norman dies aged 57

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell Norman has died at the age of 57.
The TV star had appeared on BBC’s ‘Saturday Kitchen’ as a chef and outside of the small screen, he had an illustrious career as a restaurateur but passed away on Thursday (23.11.23) following a short illness.
Russell’s business partner Richard Beatty said on Friday: “It is with the greatest sadness that I announce the loss of my best friend Russell Norman. After a short battle in hospital, he died, surrounded by family and friends. Russell is survived by his wife and three children, and I ask that you respect the privacy of his family, friends, and colleagues at this time.”
He was the founder of the award-winning restaurant BRUTTO as well as the POLPO chain and its spin-off Polpetto, and also founded the comfort-food style Spuntino.
As well as occasionally starring on the BBC culinary show alongside Matt Tebbutt, Russell had fronted ‘The Restaurant Man’ for BBC Two in 2014, and released his fourth cookbook earlier this month.
Reflecting on his upbringing and career beginnings, he previously told Food and Travel magazine: “I spent my formative years there, only leaving to go to Sunderland Polytechnic. I studied there for three years and worked in the North East for a year, as a community arts officer in East Durham. It didn’t suit me at all and I came back to London, looking for work.”
In 2021, Rusell explained that his “ideal chef” would be a grandmother of Italian descent but also suggested that perhaps “everything” other than the meal itself is what is most important in a restaurant.
He said: “I always go back to my ideal chef, and my ideal chef is the 95-year-old Italian granny. I’m not for a moment suggesting that my food is going to be ugly, but there’s a great – and completely understandable – obsession with what’s on the plate.
“For me, not being a chef and coming from a hospitality background, I actually think that it’s everything else that’s perhaps more important in a restaurant.”

Frankie Dettori and Tony Bellew confirmed for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Dettori and Tony Bellew are set to enter the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ camp.
The current group of contestants are set to be divided into two teams, with the jockey and the boxer each acting as “coach” before the groups go head-to-head in the so-called Scarena for various challenges over the next few days.
Hosts Ant and Dec broke the news to viewers on Wednesday’s (22.11.23) episode of the show.
After earlier announcing there’d be no Bushtucker Trial vote because they would all be taking part in the next task, Ant said: “There are more surprises under way because at the end of today’s trial, our celebrities will be split into two teams of five.”
Dec added: “That’s right, over the next couple of days, those two teams will be going head-to-head in trials and challenges and they will take place in an area known as the Scarena.”
Ant concluded: “And each of the teams will have their own coach, a titan from the world of sport.”
The show ended with clips from the two stars, with Tony, 40, admitting he is in it to win it.
He said: ” I’m going into the jungle because it’s a challenge and I love a challenge. I’m a serial winner, I hate to lose. I’m not going to give in. Ive faced many different things in my life and now the jungle is next, let’s see what you’ve got for me.”
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old jockey hailed taking part in the show as his “biggest challenge” and expressed his hope he can energise camp.
He said: “My strength as a person, I’m a fighter. I won’t lie to you, I can be quite moody sometimes when I lose so I don’t know what kind of Frankie is going to come out there.
“I feel sorry for my campmates, I’ll be arriving full of energy, they’ll be starving hungry so I hope I give them a bit of energy when I turn up…
“I’ve been racing for 36 years under thousands of people but this is my biggest challenge.”
Before the two new contestants were introduced to viewers, Ant and Dec had gone into camp to tell the group they would all be taking part in the next trial, prompting them to excitedly cheer and hug one another.
Nick Pickard excitedly said: “We’re all together, gotta be in it to win it.”

Tim Allen confirms Disney talks over Toy Story 5

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Allen has confirmed plans for ‘Toy Story 5′.
The 70-year-old actor – who plays Buzz Lightyear alongside Tom Hanks’ Woody in the iconic animated franchise – has revealed a fifth instalment is on the cards after Disney got in touch about a future film.
Appearing on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’, he said: “Bob Iger, head of Disney, said it was on. He actually said it was going to happen.
“They have reached out to Tom and I to reprise the roles. They’re not saying anything about it.”
Allen confessed he’s a little hesitant about the idea of taking on the Space Ranger role again, despite the success of the previous four Pixar classics.
He added: “For people like me, it’s just like — I’m a sci-fi buff. You wonder if four was too many? Is five going to be too much?”
However, he revealed the screenwriter – who he didn’t name – insisted he wouldn’t get back on board if it wasn’t “right”.
The actor said: “According to the scuttlebutts, the writer that’s doing it wrote one of the better ones and he said, ‘If I didn’t get this right, I wouldn’t do it’.
“So it could be a very, very interesting way to reunite it.”
If the fifth movie does come to fruition, Buzz and Woody will need to be reunited after the fourth movie ended with them going their separate ways as the pull-string cowboy toy left the rest of the gang to stay with Bo Beep.
Allen has an idea for how to bring the gang back together though, and he thinks their first human owner Andy could be the key.
He recently told That Movie Dweeb: “I don’t know if this is where the story is going, but what if the whole story was through Andy as an adult?
“[He] has children, and they just happen to be online, and the kid goes, ‘Have you ever seen this toy?’
“And Andy sees that Buzz has got a hand missing and they’re selling these vintage toys, and Andy goes and gathers all the toys up.
“He has to go out and find each one of them and put them back together, bring them back to his house, and start the whole thing over again with his son…
“It’s all through Andy’s eyes because we [the toys] made his life, and now he’s returning that favour.”
