Jon Hamm wants MCU role

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Hamm wants to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 52-year-old actor is a huge fan of the MCU and would jump at the chance to star in one of the Marvel movie adaptations.
He told Screen Rant: “I don’t know. Those decisions get made at such a high level at this point, definitely above my pay grade. I would love to. I’ve been a fan of Marvel Comics and comics in general since I was probably single digits. I think there are tons of stories that I’m familiar with, at least, that are still out there to be told.”
Jon was previously considered to play the role of villainous Mister Sinister in a scrapped sequel to ‘The New Mutants’, a spin-off film in the ‘X-Men’ series and he hopes that since ‘X-Men’ is now under the MCU banner, he will be considered for a future role.
He said: ““Hopefully, whatever their plans are, they include me. But if not, I know that they have a pretty deep bench of folks that are ready to be a part of those stories. There are certainly a lot of stories in the ‘X-Men’ world to be told. ‘Fantastic Four’ as well, [like] ‘Doctor Doom’. There are so many great things out there. But yeah, I hope I get a chance. Who knows?”
‘Fantastic Four’ director Matt Shakman recently told The Hollywood Reporter: “I am a huge fan of the ‘Fantastic Four’. I certainly spent time wondering who should play them before I had the job of being the person who would cast them, so I understand the interest and I support it. And so there will be an announcement at some point in the future.”

Paul Rudd’s ‘horrible and restrictive’ MCU diet

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Rudd followed a “horrible” and “restrictive” diet while training for ‘Ant-Man’.
The 54-year-old actor revealed the eating regime he followed was so strict, that he allowed himself some sparkling water as a treat.
Speaking on the ‘Off Menu’ podcast, he said: “When I was having to train for the ‘Ant-Man’ movie, and I was on a very restrictive diet, my reward was sparkling water. That’s how horrible that diet was. I was like, ‘Alright, I’m gonna have some sparkling water now, I’ve earned it.’”
And, Paul revealed he stuck to a strict diet when training for all of his Marvel movies.
He said: “Once you’re in it, it’s actually not too hard,” explaining that he didn’t mind having “really boring food, every time, over and over again,” as he would wake up with “tons of energy”.
Comparing his training and diet to other actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he said: “I think I worked out harder than anyone, I would eat better than everyone, and I looked worse than all of them. I had to work out all the time, eat perfectly, just to look kind of bad. Not even like great.
“I remember on ‘Endgame’, Chris Hemsworth would always have these Tupperware containers and he’s eating this gruel of just a mash of stuff. He’s working out, and then you stand next to a guy like that, and I just think, ‘Well, what’s the point of any of this?’ Why am I killing myself when that can exist, and then I look at myself and this exists. I can never achieve that. … That was the good thing that it was ‘Ant-Man’, it isn’t ‘Thor’. But I tried to work out, and it didn’t work.”

Matt Willis’ documentary support

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Willis had to talk his wife into appearing in his documentary about addiction.
The Busted star opened up about his personal struggles with addiction in the BBC One doc and while he praised TV presenter Emma Willis, 47, for helping him overcome his issues, he admitted she wasn’t so keen on appearing on the programme to talk about it.
Matt, 40, told The Mirror: “I kind of had to talk her into it, really. “It’s a part [of addiction] that doesn’t get talked about – the effect it has on people around you. That was the thing I got the most, messages from loved ones saying ‘Thank you for putting that bit in’. It was such an integral part to involve Emma in it.”
Matt also revealed that after the documentary aired, the treatment centre he attended was inundated with calls from people who wanted to book in.
He said: “After the documentary the treatment centre phoned me and said ‘We can’t fit anybody in for a year. It’s so busy’.”
And, Matt admitted to some doubts about filming.
He said: “When I saw the first edit I just went ‘What have I done? Oh my God, what have I done?’ But I knew why I was putting it out there so I had to stick to that and I was really happy with it.”
Emma added: “It was tough to relive that period in our lives but it was also incredibly cathartic to talk through those dark days. We’re all imperfect and we shouldn’t feel like we have to hide certain parts of ourselves to be loved.
“Ultimately it was our love and hard graft that have got us to where we are now.”

Neil Morrissey regrets Amanda Holden fling

OHMYGOSSIP — Neil Morrissey regrets his affair with Amanda Holden.
The ‘Men Behaving Badly’ actor had a five- week fling with TV star Amanda in 2000, which led to the breakdown of her marriage to ‘Family Fortunes’ star Les Dennis.
And, Neil, 61, admitted he regrets being the cause of their split.
Speaking on the ‘Restless Natives’ podcast with ‘Line of Duty’s Martin Compston, he said: “A gentleman’s socks should always match his shoes. Don’t [sleep with] a game-show host’s wife.”
Neil also spoke about his fling with Amanda, 52, during a 2014 appearance on Piers Morgan’s ‘Life Stories’.
He said: “No, I didn’t [apologise to Les]. I’m not positive over what there is apologise about. I don’t know what the whole situation was, to be perfectly fair to everybody.
“I feel sorry for how the situation was dealt with and I feel sorry for how emotional Les seemed to become. It was very difficult for him and for that I’m sorry.”
Amanda was just 22 when she and Les, then 40, met and fell in love while starring in a production of ‘The Sound Of Music’.
According to The Mirror, she said at the time of the split: “‘I terribly want children but I didn’t want to have them with Les.
“That’s a horribly brutal thing to say, but when you do, you know you have to move on.
“I found the fall from grace incredibly hard to deal with. I can’t bear not to be liked.
“Then I had an affair and overnight turned into this awful person. There are no hard feelings with Les. I wish him the best, but we’ve both moved on. I don’t believe women have affairs for no reason. Women don’t seek sex – we seek love and affirmation.”

Katya Jones nervous about Rumba

OHMYGOSSIP — Katya Jones admitted she is nervous about this weekend’s dance with Nigel Harman on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 34-year-old professional dancer and the 50-year-old actor will dance the Rumba to Celina Dion’s ‘It’s All Coming Back To Me Now’ this weekend and Katya revealed it was difficult to perfect the dance in such a short period of time.
She told fans on Instagram: “It’s a big team decision. There has to be a variety of dances on the show. Each couple has to cover Ballroom, Latin and specialty in a fair order. And multiple other reasons. It was time for us to do a Latin dance. And I’m so glad we get to do the Rumba.
“Yes it is challenging, and no one can possibly perfect it in 4 days! But we are not trying to avoid it. Isn’t this what the show is about, exploring the joy of dancing. Nigel really likes the feel of Rumba and he’s getting glimpses of why we – Pros – love it so much.
“And it’s beautiful to see. So that’s all we can do. Try our best and share it with you! And if it happens to be enough to stay, that’s a bonus!”
Speaking about their performance in the Blackpool special, Nigel said on ‘It Takes Two’: “It is so brilliant the Blackpool floor, it’s such a gift. It’s so big and bouncy and the crowd were so present and with you. I loved every second of it. I actually think it was the best I’ve danced on the show, and then I made some mistakes, but putting that aside it was the most I have enjoyed it. I had such a good time which is why when I made the mistake, afterwards it was so disappointing because you have done all that work and it was so good.”

Dame Darcey Bussell’s speed awareness course

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Darcey Bussell attended a speed awareness course after being caught breaking the limit.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge revealed she was caught going too fast in a 20mph zone and said the course was a good reminder to “slow down” in life.
Darcey, 54, told the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential column: “I did a speeding awareness course. It was in a 20mph zone, so I wasn’t doing 120mph or anything.
“One of the things that came up was: helping us to remind ourselves, when we’re in a rush, have a moment to breathe.
“The course is great because it offers really simple reminders to slow down.”
Meanwhile, the ballet dancer – who has two children with her husband, businessman Angus Forbes – previously revealed she still planned to watch ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ despite quitting her role as a judge on the BBC One ballroom show in 2019.
She told Metro: “I coach dancers at the Royal Ballet so I’ll be watching their shows but otherwise I’ll probably be with my family watching ‘Strictly’!”
Adding that she plans to drop in on her former friends on the show, she continued: “I’ll feel very odd. It’s such a wonderful show and such a great team and I will miss all of them dreadfully, though I’ll be visiting without fail. I’ve got a lot of friends.
“Of course I’ll miss it. You don’t take a decision like that lightly but it was right for me to leave. I’ve been very lucky to do seven good years and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it but I have no regrets.”

Ellie Leach tops the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola have topped the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ leaderboard.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress is currently taking part in the BBC Latin and ballroom competition alongside professional partner Vito Coppola and following their performance of the Argentine Tango to Destiny’s Child hit ‘Bills, Bills, Bills’ on Saturday (25.11.23) attained a score of 38.
Speaking to host Claudia Winkleman, she said: “It was very serious, and it’s hard to be serious when all we do is laugh. But I loved it, it was such a change from last week!”
Despite coming top of the leaderboard, their routine sparked a debate amongst the judges about what was lacking in the performance.
Anton Du Beke noted that the dance was “brilliant” but felt that it “lacked intensity”, whilst Craig Revel Horwood said it “lacked intimacy” and Motsi Mabuse felt as if the routine depicted a “challenge” between a man and a woman.
Head judge Shirley Ballas said: “I’m with Motsi, I don’t think you need to always be in each other’s face. These are very, very difficult moves to do and I found that focus and that control to be absolutely outstanding.”
Just one point behind Ellie and Vito on the leaderboard was ‘EastEnders’ actor Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, who scored 37 points for Couple’s Choice to set to ‘This Woman’s Work’, performed in memory of Bobby’s late mum Jade Goody.
The ‘Big Brother’ legend died in 2009 at the age of 27 following a battle with cancer and after the performance, Bobby broke down in tears as his dad Jeff Brazier watched on from the studio audience.
He said: “All I can think is how blessed I am. I’ve got beautiful friends, I’ve got a beautiful family. I’m here. I’ve got a beautiful partner.”
In third place on the leaderboard was tennis legend Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe, who scored a 36 for their Paso Doble to ‘España Cañi”, whilst the lower end of the leaderboard was made up of ‘Sex Education’ star Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin, who managed to score 34 for their American Smooth to ‘Bjork classic It’s Oh So Quiet.
‘Casualty’ actor Nigel Harman and Katya Jones scored 33 for their Rumba to Celine Dion hit ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me Now’, whilst ‘The One Show’ presenter Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu finished in last place with a score of 31 following their Cha Cha to Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’.

I’m A Celeb’s Jamie Lynn Spears: ‘Britney will be worried about me in here!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lynn Spears thinks her sister Britney will be “worried” about her on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’
The 32-year-old actress is currently taking part in the ITV1 jungle reality survival show alongside a host of other famous faces but admitted that she thinks pop superstar Britney – with whom she has become somewhat estranged in recent years following the termination of a conservatorship that gave the Spears family control over the ‘Lucky’ singer’s fortune for more than a decade – will be “checking in” on her by tuning in regularly.
Speaking on Saturday’s (25.11.23) episode, she told ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Sam Thompson: ” I can imagine she’d be worried about me on here, I think she is checking in on me heavily. She said ‘You’re really gonna do it?’ and I said ‘I’m gonna go to Australia to check it out.’
“When I’m crying, she’ll probably be like ‘Get out of there, right now.’ ”
The former ‘Zoey 101’ star – who has previously feuded with Britney in recent years over her alleged involvement in the 13-year conservatorship – went on to call Britney a “good big sister” but has learned to not discuss her publicly as she reflected that she and her sister have had a “complicated upbringing” thanks to Britney’s sudden rise to fame in the 1990s.
But Jamie Lynn – who grew up in rural Lousiana with her family before Britney made it big – went on to insist that even though she and her sister have had their differences, she has learned to keep some things private and insisted that she is the only person who has “never taken” anything from the multi-millionaire pop star.
She added: “She’s a good big sister, she is. I love her. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly. Most families fight, we just do it better than most! We have had a very complicated upbringing. We’ve both had to deal with them in different ways.
“I’ve been the one person in her life, and she can say this, I’ve never taken anything from her. I’ve been the one person in her life who said ‘I just want to be your sister’. We’ve had such a weird life, it’s difficult to explain. But at the end of my road, that’s my family. ”
At the end of the episode, it was revealed that the public had voted for Sam and TikTok star Nella Rose to face the ‘Fishy Business’ Bushtucker Trial in Sunday night’s edition of the show.
‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ continues Sunday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX

Emmerdale’s Isabel Hodgins gets engaged

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ star Isabel Hodgins is engaged.
The 30-year-old actress – who has played Victoria Sugden on the ITV soap since 2006 – took to Instagram to share a picture from the special moment her boyfriend Adam popped the question over a romantic dinner.
She gushed in the caption on Instagram: “The most incredible night of my life. I said yes to marrying my best friend. My kind, sweet, patient and generous perfect person. I can’t wait to spend forever with you.”
Her former co-star Adam Thomas commented: “Whattttt (sic).”
Isabel previously dated her co-star Michael Parr from 2015 to 2019, however, when Michael left his role as Ross Barton to try and crack America, she stayed behind.
A source told The Sun newspaper at the time of their split: “They drifted apart and felt it was better to be mates. He has been throwing himself into his social life and has just been on a lads’ hol and she is focusing on work, they’re both young and want to follow their dreams. They had a meaningful relationship and they’ll remember the good times.”
Isabel has played Victoria since she was 12, whilst Michael joined the show in 2013 and began dating Isabel a couple of years later.
Michael Hollywood.
The 37-year-old actor said of his plans: “My granddad fought in Vietnam and got based over in Warrington, England, met my nan, who was a Scouser, shipped them over to Brooklyn, because his family are from Brooklyn.
“When he was going round the airbases my mum was born in Oregon and my mum was born in Mississippi.
“I feel like I’ve had a big American influence in my life, obviously because my mum is American. I feel like it’s always calling me. At some point I will [live there].
“I just think it’d be so cool to just maybe do a year in New York and maybe go for it in LA, see if I can get some work out there.”

Layton Williams loves that his Strictly pole dancing routine was ‘risky’

OHMYGOSSIP — Layton Williams has defended his pole dancing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 29-year-old ‘Bad Education’ star and his professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin performed a racy routine to Christina Aguilera’s ‘Ain’t No Other Man’ on last week’s show for their couple’s choice dance, and it didn’t go down well with some viewers, but Layton loved that it was “a bit risky” and pushed boundaries.
He told The Mail on Sunday: “I feel like we’ve always come out and kind of, done something potentially a little bit more out there, pushing the boundaries a little bit, a bit risky, you know, we’re thrown in this and that, and there’s always an element of surprises.
‘Why shouldn’t we be swinging around a pole and living our best life? It went down pretty cute if you ask me, so I’m really proud and I stand by it. It was also a couple’s choice too.”
Choreographer Nikita, 25, added: “We were just swinging round a pole.
“There is nothing more to that than that. We were just dancing. At the end of the day, we’re just two boys having fun. And, well, if somebody doesn’t like it, then that’s absolutely fine.”
Layton has also had messages from those who resonate with seeing someone “so outwardly effeminate” dancing on the show with another man.
He said: “I think sometimes because of the conversations, it’s like, ‘oh, yeah, well’ and my hard work is batted away. But I just really am grateful that, I got to have this opportunity in the show, and I’ve got this guy to dance with.
“We get so many beautiful messages from, teachers, parents, it’s really making a change, to see somebody so outwardly effeminate, sometimes not effeminate, sometimes, more masculine and people are seeing that and going, oh, that’s a little bit like what I’m like, and it resonates.
“And even, people being like, I love the two boys and kids, young people that don’t even understand it but they just love it. It’s causing a beautiful ripple effect. So that’s my joyous takeaway from this show.”

Bradley Cooper would do another Hangover movie in ‘an instant’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper would do another ‘Hangover’ movie “in an instant”.
The ‘Maestro’ actor had his breakthrough role as teacher and leader of the Wolfpack Phil in the first ‘Hangover’ movie in 2009, and he would love to return for a fourth film.
Asked on ‘The New Yorker Radio Hour’ podcast “Are you done with fun?
“In other words, if another kinda fun comic role came along, it was three months of your life, it’s not Hangover 5, but something of a similar spirit.”
Cooper replied: “Well, I would do Hangover 5.
“It would be [Hangover] 4 first, but yeah.”
The 48-year-old actor insists he would reprise the role “not just to pay the bills”, adding: “I would do probably Hangover 4 in an instant, yeah, just because I love Todd [Phillips], I love Zach [Galifianakis], I love Ed [Helms] so much. I probably would, yeah.”
However, he doubts another flick in the comedy franchise would happen.
He said: “I don’t think Todd’s ever going to do that.”
The first film follows a group of men on a bachelor party in Las Vegas, who lose the groom.
There were two sequels in 2011 and 2013.
Bradley went on to insist that he had lots of “fun” making his musical autobiographical drama ‘Maestro’ and 2018’s romantic drama ‘A Star Is Born’.
He told the host: “You said the word ‘fun.’ There’s nothing more fun that I’ve ever experienced than Maestro and A Star Is Born.
“This is me having fun.”

Catherine Tate: I still don’t know why I was cast in Doctor Who

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tate admits she “still doesn’t know to this day” why Russell T Davies cast her as Donna Noble in ‘Doctor Who’.
The 53-year-old actress says it’s “extraordinary” that she reprised her role as the assistant alongside David Tennant’s Time Lord after 15 years during Saturday night’s (25.11.23) first of three 60th-anniversary special episodes of the cult classic BBC One sci-fi series.
She told ‘Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg’ on BBC One: “So it’s amazing to me that I’m part of this, this sort of massive conglomerate of an amazing collection of experiences I suppose, you know, television experiences. And that a character I play is, you know, sort of staked her claim in this story.”
Catherine says it will forever be her and David’s “best job”.
She added: “I still to this day, I don’t know why Russell thought it was a good idea to put me in it. I’m delighted that he did and it will always be the best job I’ve ever had really 100 per cent I think David and I both feel that it’s 100 per cent the best job we’ve ever had. And to get another bite of the cherry; extraordinary.”
After last night’s emotional reunion in ‘The Star Beast’, Catherine and David, 52, will be back for the episode ‘The Wide Blue Yonder’.
Showrunner Russell revealed it was actually Catherine who asked to return alongside David.
He said during a Q+A: “Catherine said, ‘Oh, I’ve always loved Donna Noble and wouldn’t it be marvellous to make some more?’ And I went, ”Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,’ like that. And then she asked David. She said, ”Would you make some more?” And he said he would, in a heartbeat.
“So then she told me that and I genuinely felt honour-bound to go to the BBC and say, ”Look, these two stars have just said they would love to come back.’ I knew it was the 60th anniversary coming up. Simple as that.
“So I just sent off that email about Christmas Eve or something – best Christmas present you ever had!
“All I got was a reply saying, ”Thank you. We’ll think about it.'”
The three specials will wrap with ‘The Giggle’, starring Neil Patrick Harris as the Toymaker, before Ncuti Gatwa’s debut as The Doctor on Christmas Day (25.12.23).

Angela Scanlon eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Angela Scanlon has been eliminated from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 39-year-old presenter – who is best known for her role as a reporter on ‘The One Show’ – had been taking part in the BBC Latin and ballroom competition with professional partner Carols Gu but became the ninth celebrity to be axed from the series on Sunday (26.11.23) night’s results show.
When asked by host Tess Daly about her time on the show, Angela said: “It’s been honestly incredible, I’m gutted, really gutted that it’s finished now, but it has been the most wonderful experience. I have made the best friend in this man [to Carlos]. We have had so much fun, he is such an incredible guy.
“He has supported me and picked me up and made me laugh so much. I don’t know what to say, it’s been magical honestly – all of those people up there! My husband at home, my two little girls, and all my friends!”
The TV star had found herself in the bottom two against former ‘Bad Education’ actor Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin and attempted to impress the judges by giving another performance of the Cha Cha to Gloria Gaynor classic ‘I Will Survive’ buyt judges Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, and Anton Du Beke all opted to save Layton and Nikita following their rendition of the American Smooth to Bjork hit ‘It’s Oh So Quiet.’
Craig said: “Technically for me personally, the better dance of the night, and the dance I actually enjoyed the most, was Layton and Nikita.”
The West End star and his partner had won the majority vote so would be staying in the competition regardless, but head judge Shirley Ballas revealed that had her vote counted, she would have opted to save Angela and Carlos.
She said: “Well important for me always when it comes to Ballroom and Latin is the character of the dance, that it’s true to the dance, timing and quality and I would have voted for Angela and Carlos.”
The remaining five couples will take to the dancefloor next when ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns for a musicals special on Saturday 2 December at 19:25, with the results show on Sunday 3 December at 19:20 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Angela and Carlos will be joining Fleur East for their first exclusive televised interview live on ‘Strictly It Takes Two’ on Monday 27 November at 18:30 on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

Chris Harris vows to ‘remember the good times’ on Top Gear

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Harris has vowed to “remember the good times” on ‘Top Gear’ after the show was shelved.
The TV star presented the motoring series alongside Paddy McGuinness and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff, but BBC bosses recently confirmed the show will be “rested” for the “foreseeable future” after the former cricketer was seriously injured in an accident while filming a stunt last year – and Chris has now insisted he plans to look back on his happy memories.
In a post on Instagram, he shared a picture of the three presenters sitting in a car together and laughing and wrote: “How I’ll remember my time on Top Gear. Hundreds of hours laughing. There’s much to be said on how/why/what in the future. But for now, I’ll remember the good times.
“Look after people and, sometimes, they’ll look after you.”
Freddie, 45, had been driving at 124mph at the ‘Top Gear’ test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, South East England in December 2022 when he crashed and the accident left the sports star with several broken ribs and severe facial injuries.
Following the horror crash, the BBC stated that continuing production on ‘Top Gear’ would be “inappropriate” and a full health and safety review would be carried out.
The England cricketer later reached a settlement with the BBC of an estimated £9 million over the accident.
Confirming Top Gear’s future, the BBC said in a statement: “Given the exceptional circumstances, the BBC has decided to rest the UK show for the foreseeable future.
“The BBC remains committed to Freddie, Chris and Paddy who have been at the heart of the show’s renaissance since 2019, and we’re excited about new projects being developed with each of them.
“We will have more to say in the near future on this. We know resting the show will be disappointing news for fans, but it is the right thing to do.
“All other ‘Top Gear’ activity remains unaffected by this hiatus including international formats, digital, magazines and licensing.”
The UK show is currently sold to more 150 territories and there are 11 local format versions including in France, America and Finland.
