‘She was mad!’ Fred Sirieix’s mum tells him off for ‘unacceptable’ I’m A Celebrity behaviour

OHMYGOSSIP — Fred Sirieix’s mum has blasted his “unacceptable” behaviour on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The First Dates star, 51, was eliminated from the ITV show on Tuesday night (05.12.23) but not before he criticised Josie Gibson’s cooking on the show several times, branding it “kitchen nightmares”, which left his mother “upset”.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ – which Josie co-hosts – via video link from Australia, he said: “I spoke to my mum and she said, ‘Frederick!’
“She calls me that when she’s upset. ‘What did you do with Josie? Why are you telling her what to do? What was going through your mind?’
“I got a telling off from my mum she said it’s unacceptable and she didn’t want me to do it again … she was mad!’
Despite constantly criticising Josie’s cooking on the show, Fred insisted the former ‘Big Brother’ winner’s meals were “good”.
He said: “In all fairness, the meals Josie cooked were good.
“She could cook the meal on the day but I was concerned with how she would use and recycle the bones, vegetables and peels so we could make stock and improve the day after.”
Fred was also involved in another bust-up earlier in the series, when Nella Rose – who departed the camp on Monday (04.12.23) – was furious with him when he said he was old enough to her dad.
Nella, whose father has passed away, branded him “disrespectful” and “stupid” at the time, but they have since cleared up the situation.
Speaking on the ITV brunchtime show, Fred said: “I was very surprised of the hate for Nella.
“It’s totally wrong and unfair and it’s not in my name. Nella is a lovely girl. Things happen, you move on and I don’t know what all the fuss is about.”
Nella was interviewed on the programme just minutes before Fred, and she admitted it was a “big fat misunderstanding.”
She said: “We’ve gone over it, everything is cool, everything is blessed, I don’t know why everyone’s still crying about it.
“In the Jungle, everything is intensified. That subject [her dad] is very triggering for me because its a fresh wound but everything in the jungle is intense.”

Johnny Carter returning to EastEnders with 3rd actor taking on the role

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Carter is returning to ‘EastEnders’.
Former ‘Grantchester’ star Charlie Suff will become the third actor to take on the “complex character” of Mick and Linda Carter’s son, after Sam Strike debuted as the character in 2013 and Ted Reilly brought Johnny back in 2016.
Charlie said: “I’m so delighted to be joining such an iconic programme – EastEnders was always on at my house when I was growing up. Johnny is a complex character who has been through so much, which I can’t wait to explore. I’ve found EastEnders to be the most kind and loving space to work in, and I already feel like one of the family.”
‘EastEnders executive producer Chris Clenshaw is “delighted” to welcome Charlie to Albert Square, five years after Johnny departed Walford for Manchester.
Chris said: “I’m delighted to welcome Charlie Suff to the role of Johnny Carter.
“Although we haven’t seen Johnny on The Square in almost five years, his character remains linked to the show and its most iconic venue, The Queen Vic. Since his short time away, the Carter family dynamics have changed significantly, and it’s safe to say that Johnny will be returning to a very different Walford than the one he left.”
One of the most dramatic things to have happened in the fictional east London borough is the disappearance of his father Mick (Danny Dyer) last Christmas, after a car chase with recurring villain Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) .
What’s more, it’s all change at the Queen Vic as Johnny’s mother (Kellie Bright) has since gone into business with her mother Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe).

Nella Rose is second contestant to be voted off ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Nella Rose is the second contestant to be voted off ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The YouTube influencer, 26, who had explosive spats with Nigel Farage and Fred Siriex during her stint in the jungle, got the boot on Monday (04.12.23) from the ITV show after receiving the least amount of viewer votes.
Hosts Ant and Dec announced she and singer Marvin Humes, 38, were in the bottom two before declaring Nella was out – prompting her to hold her hands to her mouth in shock.
She then said a farewell to all her campmates as her camp mate Tony Bellow told her: “You are a winner, you’ve done amazing.”
As the other stars waved goodbye the social media personality joined Ant and for a glass of orangeade rather than the usual champagne.
Nella’s string on run-ins on the show with Brexiteer Nigel and ‘First Dates’ star Fred, 51, sparked 2,000 Ofcom complaints.
Nella had a row with Fred as he told her could “be her father” due to their 25-year age gap – which she said was disrespectful as hours earlier she had told the campmates that she had lost both her parents.
She also fumed at Nigel over the subject of immigration and racism.
During her 22 November clash with Nigel, Nella claimed black people didn’t like him, adding the 59-year-old was “anti-immigrant” and “wants all them gone”.
When Nigel asked her: “Who told you that?”, she replied: “The Internet” – leading to him saying: “Oh, well there we are then it must be true.”
Nella went on: “It must be! OK, but then why don’t black people like you?”
After Ant and Dec showed Nella a montage of her fights she said: “Oh my god, you used everything. I am not usually put in situations where people don’t have opinions in the same walk of life.
“So when they have different mindsets, and I hear them, I’m shocked because I’m not used to hearing people think like this.
“So automatically, you have to say something about it because what they’ve said to me it’s kind of shocking sometimes. But it is what it is.”

Zack Snyder addresses Barbie’s Justice League jab

OHMYGOSSIP — Zack Snyder was given a “heads up” about being the punchline to a ‘Barbie’ joke.
The ‘Justice League’ filmmaker had admitted Warner Bros film co-chief Michael DeLuca made sure the director’s wife and production partner Deborah Snyder was aware of the joke and the intention behind it months before the Mattel blockbuster hit the big screen.
In the film, Ken (Ryan Gosling) brings the patriarchy to Barbie Land and brainwashes the previously-independent dolls into serving the Kens.
America Ferrera’s feminist speech lifts the spell, and a Barbie portrayed by Alexandra Shipp quips: “It’s like I’ve been in a dream where I was really invested in the ‘Zack Snyder Cut of Justice League.’”
Now, Zack Snyder has told Men’s Health magazine: “They gave us a heads-up. And he said, ‘Hey, there’s a reference to ‘Justice League’ in the movie. It’s cool and whatever, I hope you guys understand, we think it’s awesome.’
“I thought [‘Barbie’] was great. And I think the joke is pretty good.”
The quip referenced the toxic fandom surrounding Snyder and his work, which was seen as fans campaigned for Warner Bros to restore his cut of ‘Justice League’ after Joss Whedon was brought in following his exit to oversee reshoots and change the tone.
Snyder agreed that the joke was meant more as a dig against the fandom than him, but he was still stunned by the way that fanbase has become a staple in pop culture.
He added: “The thing that I said to Debbie is—the thing that you need to take a second and think about is that your name is so seamlessly sewed together with a pop-culture phenomenon so big it can exist as a joke in a movie about Barbie.
“That’s pretty insane. You just need to step back for a second and go like, ‘Whoa, what did we do? What happened? How is that a thing?’”
However, he did point out that he can “sometimes” feel misunderstood as the face of “toxic masculinity”.
He said: “I have nail polish on my thumbs, for God’s sake.”

‘I may have 3 or 4 more movies left in me!’ Nicolas Cage drops huge retirement hint

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicolas Cage has hinted he may retire from movies soon – because he only has “three or four” more films left in him.
The 59-year-old star – who turns 60 in January – has appeared in at least one motion picture every year for the last 37, but he could soon bow out of big screen performances.
He told Vanity Fair magazine: “It’s starting to solidify – I’m starting to cement my plan.
“I may have three or four more movies left in me.
“I do feel I’ve said what I’ve had to say with cinema.
“I think I took film performance as far as I could.”
Cage is determined to “say bye on a high note”, and then spend more time with his 14-month-old daughter August, who he has with his 28-year-old wife Riko Shibata.
He added: “I was taking stock of how much time I had left.
“I thought, ‘OK, my dad died at 75, I’m going to be turning 60. If I’m lucky, I have maybe a good 15 years and hopefully more. What do I want to do with those 15 years, using my father as the model?’
“It occurred very clearly to me that I want to spend time with my family.”
Cage – who is also dad to son Kal-El, 18, with Alice Kim, 39, and son Weston, 32, with Christina Fulton, 56 – recently admitted that as well as wanting to spend more time with his daughter, he would also love to read more going forward.
He recently told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’d like to read a book a week, I wanna spend more time with my daughter. I’m taking more stock of what’s important.
“Maybe not make quite as many movies.”

Doctor Who’s Russell T Davies wrote ‘a little more’ for Bernard Cribbins before his death

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell T Davies had “a little more written” for Bernard Cribbins before his death.
The ‘Doctor Who’ showrunner has paid tribute to the late actor – who died in July 2022 – after he reprised his role as Wilf, the grandfather of Catherine Tate’s Donna Noble, in just one scene of recent episode ‘Wild Blue Yonder’.
Reflecting on the poignant moment, he wrote on Instagram: “Farewell, old soldier. That’s goodnight and goodbye to our beloved Bernard.
“Wilf is mentioned in dispatches next week, all safe and sound, don’t worry, but that’s the only scene Bernard was able to film.
“We had a wonderful time! We’d never lost touch, in all these years, so I phoned him up and asked him to come back. He sniffed and said, ‘Let me see the script.’
“We had a wonderful readthrough with 120 people at which he was adored by one and all. A lovely dinner in Cardiff where he regaled us with tales galore, twinkling as ever.
“Then the shoot in Camden – you can see in Unleashed and read in next week’s DWM how much he enjoyed that.
“And then… we had a little more written, but it wasn’t to be; at 93 years old, the old soldier had given us his best, and stepped away. Night, Bernard, and thank you. I love you.”
At the end of the episode, Wilf was seen as the Doctor (David Tennant) and Donna returned to Earth and stepped out of the TARDIS.
Wilf assured the Time Lord that while the Nobles are safe, the world has gone mad, with chaos and destruction all around.
Meanwhile, the episode itself was dedicated to Cribbins, with a special message at the end which read: “In loving memory of Bernard Cribbins, 1928 to 2022.”

‘It’s great!’ Frankie Dettori reveals weight loss during I’m A Celebrity stint

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Dettori lost 5lbs during his ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ stint.
The 52-year-old star became the first campmate to be eliminated from the series via public vote – after Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears departed on “medical grounds” – but Frankie is pleased to have shed some pounds because he’s now at the bottom of his racing weight.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I think I lost five pounds. I am actually at the bottom of my racing weight, so it’s great.”
But Frankie was surprised to find out from his wife, Catherine Dettori, that he had “very little airtime”.
Despite falling at the first hurdle on the show, Frankie insisted he had “lots of fun” and he enjoyed the overall experience.
He added: “To me, I have come out of there as a winner. I challenged myself, I passed every challenge, I took it head on. I did my chores. I made some good friends. I lost weight.
“Speaking to my wife, she said I had very little airtime. I thought I’d done a lot, but it depends how it is edited to the programme.
“But you know what? I had lots of fun and jokes, banter, laughter.
“Of course, winning would have been nice, but it’s not the important thing. The important thing for me, it was the experience.”
Frankie also admitted he enjoyed his fellow campmate Nigel Farge’s no-nonsense attitude in the jungle.
He added: “I think he’s doing really well. I love Nigel. He is super funny, very interesting, very knowledgeable.
“He’s got an opinion about something, he says it how it is.”

‘It’s a shame’ Lorraine Kelly left disappointed as Nella Rose ‘decides not to give interview’

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star Nella Rose “decided not to give any interviews” on Tuesday morning (05.12.23), according to Lorraine Kelly.
The 64-year-old TV presenter admitted it was “a shame” the YouTuber, who was voted off the ITV show on Monday night (04.12.23), couldn’t join her for a chat via video link.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, to preview what was coming up on her own show, Lorraine said: “It’s a shame she isn’t talking to anyone this morning, but oh never mind.”
Later in the morning on her own show, Lorraine said: “She was going to join us this morning but she’s decided not to give any interviews today, but we may catch up with her later.”
However, Lorraine wished her well and hoped she was having a “lie in”.
Nella didn’t appear on the show, but a TV insider told The Sun Online that she “has not refused to do any press”.
On Monday night’s ‘I’m A Celebrity’, Nella was in the bottom two alongside JLS singer Marvin Humes.
But Nella was voted out, and she is now backing reality TV star Sam Thompson to be crowned King of the Jungle.
She told co-hosts Ant and Dec: “I think Sam should be king of the jungle, he has wanted to do this since he was a kid.
“Every day it’s like it’s a new game.”

Adam Driver: Ferrari had to be filmed in Italy

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Driver felt it was essential that ‘Ferrari’ was filmed in Italy.
The 40-year-old star features as Enzo Ferrari in Michael Mann’s biopic about the founder of the iconic car company and appreciated the value of shooting in the homeland of the Prancing Horse.
Speaking at the film’s UK premiere on Monday (04.12.23) night, Adam said: “We couldn’t have done it, I don’t think, in Brussels. It just wouldn’t have worked.
“We shot in the locations where the things actually happened. It’s all kinda helpful.”
Adam had the opportunity to meet with Enzo’s son Piero Ferrari and got a unique insight into the man behind the legendary Italian marque.
The ‘House of Gucci’ star said: “We met Piero Ferrari, who was very open with his father’s life – literally opening the doors to Enzo’s apartment, his briefcase, everything about him.
“We went to the factory, it was extensive and long.”
Adam explained how the director asked for subtle Italian dialects in the picture rather than a “stereotypical” accent.
He said: “Michael wanted subtle dialects, the idea that they are speaking to each other in their own language so they’re not making mistakes. It’s not like a stereotypical Italian accent.
“In Italy, everybody has a different dialect based on their region so it was also about finding a Modenese attitude.”
Adam had the opportunity to race Ferraris in Enzo’s home city of Modena and the experience made him realise the peril that drivers faced during the 1950s.
The ‘Star Wars’ actor recalled: “We raced some Ferraris in Modena and we drove the chassis for one of the 801s I think that was in the movie.
“There’s a difference between one where if you roll over you’ll take your head off and the other one where at least you’re protected by a cage. You became aware of how heroic these guys were to pursue an ideal over their personal safety.”

‘We’re really lucky’: Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo lived a dream in the Marvel films

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Downey Jr. and Mark Ruffalo lived a dream as they worked on Marvel movies.
The pair both featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Bruce Banner/Hulk respectively and felt really “lucky” to be involved in the hugely successful superhero franchise.
In conversation for Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ series, Robert said: “We had this whole decade-and-a-half Marvel run where we were just looking at each other like, ‘God, we’re really lucky. What are we doing? Who’s a wizard? Who’s coming from outer space?'”
Mark added: “It was such a different world. They didn’t really cast people like us. I’ll never forget, I was like, ‘I don’t know if I’m right for this.’ And you’re like, ‘Come on, Ruffalo, we got this.'”
Ruffalo, 56, stars as hedonistic lawyer Duncan Wedderburn in the new movie ‘Poor Things’ and Robert was unaware that his ‘Zodiac’ co-star could give such a performance.
The 58-year-old actor said: “I’ve known you a long time. I know what you’re like when you’re having a good time.
“But I did not know that this character existed inside of you – this cad, this relentlessly self-centred Duncan Wedderburn. And I remember how apprehensive you were about doing this.”
Mark explained that he had a wonderful time playing a character with “no sense of morality”.
The ‘Shutter Island’ actor said: “Oh, it was the time of my life. I got to play that guy with no sense of self-consciousness or no sense of morality – really, no sense of any bounds whatsoever that hold us.”

‘I thought it was a really funny joke!’ Sarah Beeny clarifies marriage comments

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Beeny has insisted she was trying to tell a “really funny joke” when she said her marriage was “hanging on in there by our fingernails”.
The 51-year-old TV presenter has children Billy, 18, Charlie, 16, Raffy, 14, and 12-year-old Laurie with Graham Swift – who she married in 2002 – and the star recently told she had been “horrible” to Graham amid her battle with breast cancer.
While Sarah has now clarifies that she was joking about her marriage situation, she did admit it isn’t always “easy”, but she is fortunate to have a “supportive” husband and kids.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she said: “I did a podcast with someone and I told a funny joke, which I thought was a funny joke about marriage.
“It was all the headlines the next day about marriage ‘holding on by our fingernails’, but that just a really funny joke, actually.
“But I’m not going to say it’s easy, because obviously it isn’t easy but I think I’m very lucky that I’ve got a husband and kids who are so supportive.”
In October, Sarah – who announced she had beaten cancer earlier this year – hinted that she and Graham had only stayed together for the sake of their children.
Speaking to Gabby Logan on ‘The Mid-Point Podcast’, she said: “We’re hanging on in there by our fingernails. I mean, it’s not easy, is it? Graham always said, ‘the day we have to work at our marriage, I’m going to leave’. And I was like, ‘really?’ But I think he has had to work at it to be honest. I was being particularly horrible, because I have been a bit horrible in the last couple of years to be honest at times.
“I was being particularly horrible, he said, ‘you know the thing is Sarah, you’re not prepared to leave and have your children half the time, and neither am I, so we’re going to stay together.
“And we’re going to stay together happily or unhappily, so which would you like it to be?’
“And I was like, oh that is quite dark, isn’t it?
“He said ‘you wanna be happy or unhappy, because either way we’re still going to live together’, so I was like, ‘OK we’ll do happy then, shall we?’ he was like, ‘What a good idea.’
“Maybe you should be a bit nicer?’ I was like, ‘yeah alright I will.’ So logical, isn’t it?”

Dancing Queen! Cher ‘to perform new Christmas song at Strictly final’

OHMYGOSSIP — Cher is to perform at this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ finale.
The 77-year-old music legend has been booked by bosses of the Latin and ballroom show to sing in the final on December 16th.
According to The Sun newspaper, Cher will perform new tune ‘DJ Play A Christmas Song’ – from her new festive record ‘Christmas’ – at the event.
While music royalty looks set to perform in the final, actual royalty recently visited the set.
Last week, Catherine, Princess of Wales, is said to have taken her two youngest children, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, to watch the ‘Strictly’ stars rehearse for last weekend’s shows.
The children were allowed to sit in the judges’ chairs and use the scoring paddles to critique Katya Jones and Neil Jones.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Kate and Charlotte are huge fans of ‘Strictly’ so they were delighted to be invited.
“Kate took pictures of the children in the judges’ seats. She seemed really relaxed and was all smiles.
“She was polite, sweet and charming with everyone and made sure Louis didn’t get over-excited.
“There was a strict security lockdown on set and staff were told not to take any photos.
“The children were especially excited and got dressed up.
“They were thrilled to be on set and to meet their favourite celebrities.”
The royals were introduced to presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, and met professional dancers including Dianne Buswell and Nadiya Bychkova.
