Danny Cipriani teases ‘shirtless’ Santa Claus for Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Cipriani will turn into a shirtless Santa Claus for the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Christmas special.
The 36-year-old rugby player has been paired up with professional dancer Jowita Przystal for the upcoming festive edition of the BBC’s Latin and ballroom competition, as they put a seasonal twist on the Cha Cha Cha.
Jowita said: “Well, we’re dancing to Celebration! So it’s a Christmas party song, and Danny is… Mr Santa Claus and I am Mrs Claus.”
Danny teased: “I’ve got a waistcoat on and… no shirt.”
His pro partner joked it was “a modern version of Santa Claus”, and she heaped praise on the star’s moves.
She insisted: “I’m telling you, you look great! Your Cha Cha looks great!”
Danny wasn’t quite so sure, but he pointed out that as long as someone has passion, they still “look good” on the dancefloor.
He explained: “I enjoy the way that I move to the beat of the music. Because it makes me feel good.
“I think everyone looks good when they dance if they are giving it their best shot, even if they are out of beat, it still is a talent to do that because that’s different.
“There is no right or wrong way. So I enjoy dancing myself. Whether I look good or not is not down to me.”
Danny – who recently split from estranged wife Victoria – described getting to know Jowita on ‘Strictly’ has been a “blessing”.
He said: “It’s a blessing and to step into Jowita’s world, and for her to teach me some special moves, but also the humility and the grace that she works under, it’s the essence of who she is, while being an absolute genius at what she does, it’s so nice to be around.
“She’s world class, but so humble.”

Katie Price tipped for I’m A Celebrity return

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price has been tipped to return to ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ for a third time.
The 45-year-old former glamour model made her debut in the ITV show in 2004 and returned for a comeback in 2009, but a new report suggests Katie could be heading back to the jungle for a third time as part of the next All Stars series which will be filmed in South Africa and broadcast in 2024.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Bosses were nervous to cast Katie in the first All Stars as they wanted to play it safe with names who wouldn’t do or say anything too controversial.
“But while the show did well enough in the ratings to earn a second run, it didn’t have the same impact as the regular show as a lot of viewers didn’t like the pe-recorded format or lack of public vote.
“This time around, they want to make a bigger splash by bringing back some of the bigger, more divisive characters from I’m A Celeb history, and Katie is high on the wish list.”
Another insider added that Katie would enjoy taking part because the All Stars series is pre-recorded and doesn’t include a public vote.
They explained: “The pre-recorded element would appeal to her too, as it would mean the public couldn’t keep voting for her to do the trials, which was one of the reasons she walked the second time around.”
Katie famously met her former husband Peter Andre during her first stint in the ‘I’m A Celebrity’. The pair hit it off in camp and went on to date before marrying and having two children together.
She made a comeback five years later but quit after just a week, later explaining she wasn’t happy with being voted to take part in so many challenges.
Speaking on her ‘The Katie Price Show’ podcast, the telly star explained: “The only reason I left the second time, was everyday the public was getting me to do challenges. I did them but people don’t realise that you only get two sets of clothes and once they’re wet, you can’t dry them, you have to wear them.
“I kept smelling of fish guts, it was awful and you’re wet and cold and I swore on my kids life that if the public vote me, then I’m walking. What happened … the public vote me and I had to stick to it.
“It was apparently an easy challenge and there were basically trying to keep me there. I think they were hinting that I was doing well but I walked. When I look back at the challenge, I wish I stayed and did it. Maybe there’s a third time lucky.”

Josie Gibson in talks to replace Holly Willoughby as host of Dancing on Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson could replace Holly Willoughby as presenter of ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 38-year-old star has become a more permanent fixture on ITV1’s magazine show ‘This Morning’ in recent months after Holly, 42, announced her decision to step down and now an insider has claimed that bosses are interested in her taking on hosting duties of their skating competition following her recent stint as a campmate on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Josie’s stint in the jungle shows she has the perfect blend of humility, confidence, humour and unflappability. And she’s already proved she’s able to handle live TV during her time as a co-host on This Morning where she’s also developed quite a following among viewers.
“ITV will be hoping she’ll bring that popularity across to ‘Dancing On Ice’, if she ends up bagging the job in Holly’s absence.”
However, it remains unclear whether Holly – who left ‘This Morning’ after a man was charged with soliciting to commit murder over an alleged kidnap plot in the months following the departure of her former co-host Phillip Schofield – will actually return to front the prime-time skating show when it hits screens in January and even though bosses are “hopeful” that she will come back, former ‘Big Brother’ winner Josie is said to be a “stand out” choice on their list of potential candidates.
The source added: “ITV are still hoping Holly will sign up. But the situation remains up in the air and nervous producers are now counting down to the start in days rather than weeks.
“There are several figures who could fill Holly’s role but Josie very much stands out. Even if producers pick a potential Plan B, it will all depend on the availability of the potential candidates.”
Other names said to be under consideration for the job include former Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes and ‘Loose Women’ anchor Christine Lampard – who hosted ‘Dancing on Ice’ from 2012 until 2014 – but the broadcaster insisted announcements will be made in “due course”.
ITV said: “Further announcements regarding ‘Dancing On Ice’ will be made in due course.”

Zac Efron wasn’t allowed to cry until last day of Iron Claw shoot

OHMYGOSSIP — Zac Efron was banned from crying until last day of filming on ‘The Iron Claw’.
‘The Paperboy’ star appears in the film alongside ‘The Bear’ actor Jeremy Allen White playing real life wrestlers Kevin and Kerry Von Erich who were raised by strict father Fritz Von Erich (played by Holt McCallany) who taught them to withhold their emotions – so director Sean Durkin made sure Efron didn’t breakdown until he filmed an emotional final scene at the end of the shoot.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Durkin explained: “It was all leading up to that [final scene] for Zac, because there were so many moments in the film where his character just wants to cry.
“His character just wants to break, and I just kept saying to him: ‘No, not now, not here’.
“And so he was keeping it all in, and when we finally got to that final day, he was just full of tears. We did seven takes of that shot with the boys. He just kept going, and it was really amazing.”
The movie also features Harris Dickinson, Stanley Simons, Holt McCallany, Maura Tierney and Lily James and tells the story of the pair of WWE Hall of Famers who came from a family of professional wrestlers led by patriarch Fritz, with five of his six sons all following him into the sport.
The brothers – including David, Mike and Kris – rose to fame throughout the 1980s but their story was marred by personal tragedies which came to be known as the Von Erich curse.
Durkin went on to explain he doesn’t actually believe in the curse, but he’s convinced the family members did and it became a self-fufilling prophecy.
He added to THR: “I do not believe in curses, at least not in the mythical sense. I do believe in the psychology of a curse, and when you’re in a family where a lot of bad things have happened and happened to you, it’s very easy to believe that you are going to get sucked into that pattern.
“And sometimes, that can almost become self-fulfilling, but that psychology certainly can take a toll and almost act as much as the idea of a mythical course could act. So, no, I don’t believe in it, but yes, I think the results of it can be the same.”
‘The Iron Claw’ is released on December 22.

Christopher Briney thrilled he didn’t have to sing in Mean Girls movie musical

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Briney was thrilled that he didn’t have to sing in the new ‘Mean Girls’ movie.
The 25-year-old actor stars as Aaron Samuels in the adaptation of the Broadway musical – which itself is based on the 2004 high school comedy starring Lindsay Lohan – and initially passed on the opportunity to audition until he learned that his character would not be required to sing.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “I was so fine with it. I don’t want to do that to people. And I don’t know. I think if I worked on it, if someone gave me some coaching, I’d be fine. But it’s also just so different.
“The level that the people in this movie are singing at isn’t something you can just pick up. They were born to do that and I wasn’t born to do that.”
‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ star plays the love interest of Cady Heron (Angourie Rice) in the new film and went on to describe him as a “caring” individual who is always trying to “do the right thing” even though he is “left in the dark” by the others.
He said: “He’s trying to be good. He really does care about people and he cares about doing the right thing, but I think he’s left in the dark a little bit. But given the information he has, he’s trying to be good.”
Almost 20 years on from its release, Tina Fey’s comedy which serves as a parody of the high school clique system continues to spawn interest with new merchandise lines based around its memorable quotes and Christopher added that he “doesn’t remember a world” without ‘Mean Girls’ because of how much it has impacted the “context” of comedy.
He said: “I don’t remember a world pre-Mean Girls. I don’t know if there was a world pre-Mean Girls. It’s just been the context for comedy for so long!”

‘It’s really thrilling’: Hayden Christensen has not lost Star Wars appreciation

OHMYGOSSIP — Hayden Christensen has never lost the thrill of working on ‘Star Wars’.
The 42-year-old actor has portrayed Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in both movies and TV shows in the legendary sci-fi franchise and knows he “fortunate” he is to have the part.
Hayden told Entertainment Weekly’s Dagobah Dispatch podcast: “Every day you get to go to work on a ‘Star Wars’ project, it’s really thrilling, and that’s never lost on me.
“When I was doing the prequels, every day I was there, I was very aware of how fortunate I was. And the same is true now.
“I think as I’ve gotten a bit older, I have perhaps a greater appreciation and more of an awareness of the impact of these stories and what they mean to so many people. And so that, if anything, elevates the stakes even more. But honestly, every time I’ve gotten to swing a lightsaber, it’s been a good day.”
Hayden first played the role of the antagonist in the prequel trilogy in the 2000s and looks back with pride at the work he did after revisiting the pictures for the Disney+ shows ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ and ‘Ahsoka’.
Asked what it’s like to watch his performances back, he said: “I’ve done it a few times now in preparation for these last couple of projects. And it is certainly a heavy dose of nostalgia and you’re sort of transported back to that time in your life and when we were making those films.
“But I look back fondly on those films and the work that we did. Any time I watch a performance of mine, it’s hard not to be self-critical, and ‘I wish I had made this decision versus that decision,’ and that’s always going to be the case. But those films have aged well in my opinion, and I’m very proud of those films.”

Gil Kenan teases new villain for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

OHMYGOSSIP — Gil Kenan has confirmed that a new villain will take the spotlight in ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’.
The 47-year-old filmmaker is helming the latest movie in the supernatural comedy franchise – slated for release in March 2024 – and explained how a new antagonist will terrorise the Spengler family after Gozer was revived for ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’.
Gil told Empire magazine: “Because the Spengler family story drove the narrative in ‘Afterlife’, bringing Gozer back to centre-stage was a natural way to close the book on the past.
“But we are now in the post-Gozerian era of the ‘Ghostbusters’ saga, so that means we’re able to stretch out and create an entirely new mythology. And that’s thrilling as a storyteller, because there are all-new and terrifying stakes with fresh visual references to draw on.”
Original cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson have all returned for the upcoming movie and Kenan had a moment to treasure on his first day behind the camera.
The ‘A Boy Called Christmas’ director recalled: “I remember there was a moment halfway through the first morning of directing one of the big scenes where I looked at the monitor, and just caught myself with the biggest grin ever.
“Finally, it dawned on me that I was calling ‘Action!’ and ‘Cut!’ on some of my very favourite characters in movies, working on a big cinematic scale on something that I really cared about.
“I try to hold on to that feeling. I still have it now, finishing the film.”
Gil takes over behind the camera from ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ helmer Jason Reitman – the son of the original flick’s late director Ivan Reitman – and spoke of the “absolute honour” of being tasked to make a movie in the much-loved franchise.
Kenan said: “It’s an absolute honour to pick up the proton pack and step behind the camera for the next chapter of the Spengler family saga.
“I just wish I could go back to 1984 and tell the kid in the sixth row of the Mann Valley West that one day he was going to get to direct a ‘Ghostbusters’ film.”

‘I was so worried!’ Amy Childs rushed son to hospital after he was ‘struggling to breathe’

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Childs rushed her son to hospital this week after he was “struggling to breathe”.
The ‘TOWIE’ star took to Instagram to reveal she had to take her eight-month-old son Billy to a medical facility because he had a really bad cough, and it reminded her of the time he was “struggling to breathe” when he was a newborn.
She wrote on Instagram: “Thank you for all your messages about baby Billy, sadly we ended up in A and E last night waiting eight hours to be seen.
“Bill’s coughing got worse and was struggling to breathe.
“As a mum I was so worried as when he was a few minutes old when he was born he got taken away and put in the NICU unit for days as he was struggling to breathe.”
But the 33-year-old star told fans Billy has been diagnosed with tonsilitis, and he was “OK” on Tuesday morning (19.12.23), despite her still “worrying” about his breathing and coughing.
She added: “Last night we got told after eight hours by the doctors that he has tonsilitis.
“He is OK this morning just still worrying about his breathing and coughing.
“Just lots of cuddles with mummy and daddy this morning. My darling Billy. (sic)”
Amy gave birth to Billy and his twin sister Amelia in April.
The star’s fiance and the twins’ father Billy Delbosq admitted he felt “so helpless” when his boy was in hospital this week.
He wrote on Instagram: “Poor little man.. As a dad you feel so helpless when they’re ill, but fingers crossed he’ll be on the mend (sic)”
Amy admitted she and her fiance “100 per cent need some sleep” after their eight-hour hospital ordeal.

Zara McDermott undergoes hospital procedure days before Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Zara McDermott underwent a procedure this week just days before Christmas.
The former ‘Love Island’ star has spent weeks cheering on her boyfriend Sam Thompson, who won this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ earlier this month, but the 27-year-old reality TV star revealed she was in hospital on Monday (18.12.23), and she is now hoping for a “chilled” festive time.
She wrote on Instagram: “Had a little procedure done yesterday!
“Now ready for a super chilled Xmas.”
Zara shared a picture of herself lying in her hospital bed, but she didn’t offer any other details to fans about her procedure.
This comes after Sam and Zara – who took part in this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ series – were recently tipped to become the next, big power couple in the entertainment industry.
Nick Ede, a brand and culture expert, told The Sun newspaper: “Sam Thompson is the standout star of the jungle and I think he will be the big winner in career and money stakes, too.
“His likeable nature, kindness and openness about his relationship and his ADHD have secured him a place in the hearts of the nation and he’s well on his way to national treasure status.
“I can see Sam and Zara becoming a power couple that the nation loves.”
The industry expert described Sam as the “perfect package” for brands, and Nick even predicted he’ll become a millionaire within a few years.
Nick said: “Sam is the perfect package for TV and brands and he will be a multi-millionaire by the time he’s 35!”

Shirley Ballas praises Strictly judges for being ‘concerned about each other’s mental health’

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas calls the current ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judging panel the “Fab Four”, because they are all “really concerned about each other’s mental health”.
The 63-year-old star sits on the panel of the BBC Latin and ballroom show alongside Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood, and the quartet all look out for one another.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she said: “She [Motsi] wrote me the most beautiful message the other day, and she said, ‘I’ll always have your back,’ and I said, ‘I’ll always have your back, Motsi.’ 35 years we’ve known each other, as with Anton Du Beke.
“I feel the panel of judges that are there right now, the Fab Four I call them, because each of them are really concerned about the other’s mental health. We’re all there.
“Even Craig, he gave me the most lovely compliment over the weekend. He’s just a doll. Just lovely.”
As well as being on the ‘Strictly’ judging panel this year, Shirley also released her debut cosy crime novel, ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’, which is based on her life.
She recently told Virgin Radio: “There were so many stories I wanted to write. 50-odd years of experience they didn’t want me to put it in my autobiography.
“So I talked to my mum and she said, ‘How about you write them in fiction and then have the readers guess, did I really do that or witness that, or is it fiction?'”
Shirley also recently told how she has “taken steps” to deal with social media trolling.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’ve taken steps.
“I’ve been to the Juicy Oasis with Jason Vale for over a week and I have also taken yoga classes with a master called Kenny. He showed me all the things I should do to get my mind in a good place.
“I have also hired Harry, who is 21 and a university maths guru and he’s come on board to sift through all my social media. He’s been taking over my platform pretty much along with my son. If that’s what it takes, then so be it.”

‘We were toast’ Sue Barker predicted her Question Of Sport exit after spotting new creative director

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Barker knew she was finished on ‘Question Of Sport’ when she spotted a new creative director sitting in the show’s green room.
The 67-year-old broadcaster hosted the BBC show for 24 years from 1997 to 2021 before being let go along with her team captains, Phil Tufnell and Matt Dawson, but the star predicted their time on the programme was coming to an end.
Speaking about the show’s revamp – which included Paddy McGuinness taking over hosting duties from Sue – she told talkSPORT: “It was too painful to really watch it and understand what they were doing.
“But I remember saying to Tuffers [Phil Tufnell] and Daws [Matt Dawson] after they brought in this creative director when they were revamping shows and we saw him sitting in our green room and I said, ‘That’s it, we’re toast.’
“I knew that it was going to be time to revamp it, but some shows don’t need too much.”
Last week, the BBC confirmed the programme – which began in 1970, following a 1968 pilot episode – is “not in production at the moment”.
When asked if the show could’ve been saved, Sue said: “I don’t know, probably.
“Maybe if they kept the familiar rounds, maybe they tried to change too much, I don’t know.
“The familiar rounds, although we updated them and evolved it, we never changed the core of the show right the way from David Coleman.”
David presented the programme from 1979 to 1997.
Last week, it was revealed the sports quiz show had stopped production after more than five decades on air.
The BBC explained that the decision was taken because of “inflation and funding challenges”, but a spokesperson for the broadcaster also insisted it was “not the final whistle” for the series.
The spokesperson explained that the programme was “not being cancelled – it is just not in production at the moment”.
The situation has been compared to ‘The Weakest Link’, the long-running TV game show which has had gaps in production.
The spokesperson added: “‘Question of Sport’ is not going to appear on any other channels. It is the BBC’s intellectual property.”

Mary Earps wins BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2023: ‘I’m so humbled!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Mary Earps has been named BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2023.
The England goalkeeper, 30, lifted the 70th edition of the award in a public vote at the annual ceremony at MediaCityUK in Salford on Tuesday (19.12.23) night, with cricketer Stuart Broad, 37, finishing in second place and athlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson, 30, coming third.
Mary said on stage while picking up her trophy from ice dancers Torvill and Dean: “I’d like to say how humbled I am to be on a list of such incredible athletes… sport is a fantastic thing where it brings the world together, to hear you guys talk about your journeys, I think it’s unbelievable.
“Thanks for voting for me – everybody who voted for me… this is the ultimate all-round sporting accolade.
“It’s not been the easiest journey and I definitely wouldn’t be here today without a number of incredible people.
“Thank you so much to my teammates and coaches – I wouldn’t be here without you all.”
Mary was also voted England Women’s Player of the Year and helped Manchester United finish second in the Women’s Super League last season with 14 clean sheets.
She was also in the headlines this year when she opened up about how hurt she felt Nike had not made her England goalkeeper’s replica jersey available to buy before the tournament.
Mary was the bookies’ favourite to scoop the award after being one of leading lights at the World Cup for the Lionesses who let by only four goals in their run the final and winning the Golden Glove trophy.
Snowboarder Mia Brookes, 16, was named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year 2023 after becoming the youngest world champion in snowboarding, and Britain’s first in slopestyle, when she won gold in February.
The Unsung Hero award was given to Desmond Smith, chairman of Sheffield’s Caribbean Sports Club.
Javelin throwing legend Fatima Whitbread, 62, won the Helen Rollason award, after dedicating her life to try and ensure that children never go through the experiences she went through – after she was abandoned as a baby before spending 14 years in children’s homes.
Speaking to a standing ovation, she said: “This is a very, very special award. Helen was a friend, now she’s given me the chance to stand here and speak for our children.
“I stand here to celebrate our children and the resilience they show. Children are our future. I am calling for fundamental change, so that there future is happier and healthier, and that they may one day reach their full potential too.
“I am working hard to try and rejuvenate the care system sector. In the 60 years since I was in the care system, I have seen governments come and go and not a lot has changed.
“It’s so important that we work together to build better, happier lives.
“We all need to feel seen and valued and these children are no different.’

Matthew Kelly joins Inside No 9 cast for final series

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Kelly has joined the cast of ‘Inside No. 9’.
The former ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ host – who fronted the singing competition on ITV between 1993 and 2004 – will be part of the upcoming ninth and final series of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith’s creepy horror comedy anthology.
With filming underway for the last run of episodes – due to air on the BBC in 2024 – it’s been confirmed Matthew will be involved.
The 73-year-old star first stepped onto the small screen in 1980s sitcom ‘Holding the Fort’, and after leaving ‘Stars In Their Eyes’, he appeared in the likes of ‘Bleak House’.
Joining him across the series will be ‘This Country’ star Charlie Cooper, Mark Bonnar, Dorothy Atkinson and ‘Happy Valley’ actress Siobhan Finneran.
‘Derry Girls’ star Philippa Dunne has also been announced alongside ‘Plebs’ actor Joel Fry, Vinette Robinson, Eddie Marsan, Adrian Scarborough and recent ‘Taskmaster’ favourite Susan Wokoma.
Commenting on the final series, ‘Inside No. 9’ creators Steve and Reece admitted they felt “mixed emotions”.
They said in a statement: “It is with mixed emotions that we announce we have started filming the final series of ‘Inside No. 9’.
“We overheard some crew members the other day describe us as ‘a couple of Wonkas’ and that seems an apt description.
“We take the finest ingredients (stellar casts and creatives) and blend them with our secret recipe to produce unique confections that are delicious and often deadly.
“It has been the greatest privilege to have been allowed to make 55 wildly different episodes and we’ll miss the yearly challenge of trying to entertain and surprise our audience.
“We honestly feel like golden ticket winners – which makes us not a couple of Wonkas, but a pair of Charlies.”
Meanwhile, Jon Petrie – director of BBC Comedy – said the show “will be hugely missed”, although Reece noted there is a chance it will be back in the future.
Jon added: “Reece and Steve have, once again, served up a stellar line up of guests to star alongside them in their funny, beautifully crafted and totally original scripts.”

Sam Thompson reveals panic attack nearly ended I’m A Celeb stint prematurely

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson almost quit ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ after day one due to a panic attack.
The former ‘Made in Chelsea’ was crowned King of the Jungle on this year’s show but he very nearly didn’t make it past the first 24 hours in the Australian jungle.
Speaking on his podcast ‘Staying Relevant’ with Pete Wicks, he shared: “So the first day we get there, I had a panic attack. I entered with such excitement, I was ecstatic.
“But then it dawned on me what we were about to do and I just sat there thinking, ‘Oh no’. My heart raced, I was sweating, and I felt like throwing up, thinking ‘I must be really sick, and maybe I need to see a doctor right away, or they might have to pull me out.”
It took the 31-year-old reality star a while to settle into the new surroundings and as a result he was “quiet” around his campmates.
He added: “I was so quiet, and when people questioned it, I just didn’t have an answer. It took a while for me to get used to the surroundings because I was so caught up in everything. It’s quite an odd feeling when you first arrive, but luckily, everyone was so kind.”
Sam was “overwhelmed” to win the ITV celebrity survival show.
He told hosts Ant and Dec: “I’m really overwhelmed, I didn’t think I’d even be invited on the show. I don’t know what to say.”
Asked what he had to say to those who had voted for him, he tearfully said: “I’m so grateful, thank you so much. I’ve dreamed of doing this show for years and years and you’ve made a boy’s dream come true.”
The TV star was diagnosed with ADHD and autism last year, and he discussed his experiences with campmates Josie Gibson and Marvin Humes.
Sam shared: “[It happened] last year, mate. There’s loads of people who are actually like of a certain age who get diagnosed way later. When the low bits happen it goes low. But then the highs are really high.”

Quentin Tarantino abandoned Star Trek movie for one key reason

OHMYGOSSIP — Quentin Tarantino didn’t want his ‘Star Trek’ movie to be his final film.
The iconic director was close to putting his own bloody stamp on the science fiction franchise but writer Mark L. Smith admitted despite going “back and forth” with the ‘Pulp Fiction’ filmmaker on some ideas, things didn’t work out.
He told Collider: “It was a different thing, but this was such a particular different type of story that Quentin wanted to tell with it that it fit my kind of sensibilities.
“So I wrote that, Quentin and I went back and forth, he was gonna do some stuff on it, and then he started worrying about the number, his kind of unofficial number of films.
“I remember we were talking, and he goes, ‘If I can just wrap my head around the idea that Star Trek could be my last movie, the last thing I ever do. Is this how I want to end it?’
Unfortunately, Tarantino – who has been open about his desire to retire after directing 10 films – couldn’t “get across” that bump.
Smith added: “And I think that was the bump he could never get across, so the script is still sitting there on his desk.
“I know he said a lot of nice things about it. I would love for it to happen. It’s just one of those that I can’t ever see happening.
“But it would be the greatest ‘Star Trek’ film, not for my writing, but just for what Tarantino was gonna do with it. It was just a balls-out kind of thing.”
Although the writer refused to divulge any plot details about the abandoned project, he admitted the film would have had a “hard R” rating.
He explained: “But I think his vision was just to go hard. It was a hard R. It was going to be some ‘Pulp Fiction’ violence.
“Not a lot of the language, we saved a couple things for just special characters to kind of drop that into the ‘Star Trek’ world, but it was just really the edginess and the kind of that Tarantino flair, man, that he was bringing to it.
“It would have been cool.”

Dua Lipa jokingly calls co-star John Cena her ’emotional support actor’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa has quipped that John Cena is her “emotional support actor”.
The ‘Don’t Start Now’ hitmaker made her acting debut in the blockbuster ‘Barbie’ movie playing Mermaid Barbie alongside the former wrestler’s Kenmaid and the pair appear onscreen together again in her next flick ‘Argylle’.
The pair play LaGrange and Wyatt, respectively, in the star-studded spy movie.
The ensemble cast also comprises Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L. Jackson, Sofia Boutella, Rob Delaney and Jing Lusi.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Dua said: “It seems like I can’t seem to do anything without him! He’s really my emotional support actor.”
The 28-year-old pop star gushed over how much she loves working with the 46-year-old former wrestler.
She said: “It was fab, and he’s amazing, and I absolutely love working with John. He’s such a great guy and so lovely.”
