Loose Women’s Frankie Bridge admits she is ‘better’ at accepting her body after years of ‘pressure’

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Bridge is getting “better” at accepting her body after years of putting pressure on herself.
The 35-year-old star – who shot to fame as a child in S Club Juniors and then later on as a member of the Saturdays but is now known for making regular appearances as a panellist on ITV1’s ‘Loose Women’ – admitted that she has always felt the need to look a certain way to some extent because of her job but has now realised that taking care of herself is about more than just diet and exercise.
She told OK! Magazine: “I think it’s something that’s always going to be in the back of my mind [putting pressure on herself]. I’ve always been that way inclined. I think especially with what I do as a job, you are more self-aware.
“But I genuinely am better with it now.
“Looking after myself is not just about working out or eating right. It’s making sure I’m ticking off all the boxes that bring me joy throughout my day.
“I think for people that have a lot of self-image issues, some of that comes down to control and feeling like you’ve got all your ducks in a row. It’s not always just about going to the gym.”
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ star – who is married to footballer Wayne Bridge and has sons Parker, 10, and eight-year-old Carter with him- made her West End debut playing Jenny in the hit thriller play ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’ in the summer of 2023 and explained that she had a “good routine” going before going into the show.
She said: “I was in a good routine before I did the play, but it completely threw everything off and I’ve really struggled to get back into a routine since then.
“I’m someone who has to train in the morning. If it doesn’t happen in the morning, then it’s not going to happen. And I’m lucky enough to have a gym at home, so I do weights.”

‘I’m single’ Ex-Love Island star Teddy Soares ‘splits from model’

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Love Island’ star Teddy Soares has split from model and actress Casey Boonstra.
The 29-year-old star – who shot to fame on the ITV2 dating show’s seventh series in 2021, when he coupled up with and went on to date Faye Winter – was romantically linked to the Irish star last year, but Teddy has now confirmed he is single.
On his podcast ‘TeddyTalks’, Teddy’s brother Sidney told him: “You’ve transitioned into the limelight, and you get told a lot of things by people you meet.
“If it’s the audience commenting on romantic relationships that you choose to be in…”
But Teddy said: saying: “Hey, that was plural, bro. One, one relationship..”
Sidney then asked: “So, just to clarify, you are completely single right now?”
Teddy replied: “Oh yeah, I’m single. Let me get that straight.”
It comes after Teddy revealed in October that he was “seeing someone and really happy”.
He told The Sun newspaper at the time: “I am loved-up at the moment. Well maybe I shouldn’t say loved up, but I am seeing someone and really happy.
“We are just taking our time and getting to know each other. I think at this stage we are just finding out about each other and becoming best friends which is really nice.”
In February last year, Faye confirmed she and Teddy had gone their separate ways.
She broke the news on her Instagram Story, captioning a picture of her dog Bonnie: “I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways.
“Thank you all so much for supporting our relationship and sharing the journey with us. I’m forever grateful. Lots of love, Faye and Bonnie x (sic)”

Dancing on Ice’s Stephen Mulhern reveals how much Ricky Hatton punch hurt

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen Mulhern has admitted Ricky Hatton’s punch “hurt a lot”, when he was whacked in the arm by the former pro boxer on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The 42-year-old TV presenter asked the 45-year-old star to whack him as a joke during Sunday night’s (14.01.24) series launch night, but the ‘Catchphrase’ host forgot just how hard retired fighter Ricky can hit.
Speaking to MailOnline, Stephen said: “Ricky is one strong man, I asked him to punch me as a gag forgetting for a moment that he is a three-time boxing world champion, and yes it hurt, a lot!”
During the programme, Ricky joined presenters Stephen and Holly Willoughby off the ice, only for Stephen to keep making jokes at his expense.
Holly then said: “please just hit him”, to which the boxer did, sending Stephen hurling to the floor.
On X (formally Twitter) Ricky’s account received a comment joking about the presenter’s condition after suffering a punch.
It read: “Ricky even landing knockout blows on @dancingonice! Hope you’re okay @StephenMulhern”.
The TV star then replied: “I’m already starting to bruise!”
Ricky was one of six celebrities who made their ice debuts on Sunday.
‘Love Island’ star Amber Davies, S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt, ‘Emmerdale’ actress Roxy Shahidi, Olympian athlete Greg Rutherford and former ‘Coronation Street’ actor Ryan Thomas also appeared on the show on Sunday.
Ryan and his pro ice skating partner Amani Fancy topped the leaderboard with a score of 26.5, while Ricky could only muster 12.5 points, meaning he is in the bottom two ahead of this Sunday’s (21.01.24) second episode.
Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards, Adele Roberts, Claire Sweeney, Lou Sanders, Miles Nazaire, and Ricky Norwood will make their debuts on the ice on Sunday.

‘I didn’t want to feel overheated!’ Shirley Ballas only wore knickers under Masked Singer costume

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas only wore knickers underneath her ‘The Masked Singer’ costume, because she didn’t want to “overheat” on the show.
The 63-year-old TV star performed on the ITV singing show as Rat, but she was voted off on Saturday night (13.01.24).
Shirley has now revealed some show secrets, including that she donned panties under her costume to feel “closer” to her Rat outfit.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, she said: “They gave me special underwear to go in, of which I took most of it off. I just kept my panties on, because I wanted it closer to my skin. I didn’t want to feel overheated.”
The dancer found the costume “quite heavy”, but she “got used to it” after some practice.
She said: “I think it’s just like any experience. It’s just about embracing it. Like my mum said, ‘You signed up for it, just get on with it.’ That’s exactly what I did.
“I designed my own costume as Rat. They offered me all these other outfits and I wanted to go with something that was really down to earth.”
Despite leaving the show, Shirley loved her time performing in the costume.
She said: “I enjoyed every minute of it and I am desperately wanting them to give me Rat so I can stuff him and put him in a corner in my house because he’s family for me now. He’s my Rat.”
Looking to the future, the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge is hoping to appear on several big TV shows next.
She explained: “I want to do ‘SAS: Who Dares [Wins’], [‘I’m A Celebrity] … Get Me Out Of Here!’.
“I want a man to scream in my face because I’ve had that all my life. I think that could kind of be fun.
“I like anything that’s jungle-oriented. I like anything that puts Wellington boots on and gets you out there, out on the Moors and things, not the glitz and glamour.
“Even though I have it on ‘Strictly’, I have had it all my life. I’ve been wearing eyelashes since I was about eight, so I’m up for anything, me.”

George Clooney hare ‘more fun’ directing

OHMYGOSSIP — George Clooney has “more fun” being behind the camera than in front of it.
The 62-year-old Hollywood star made his directional debut with 2002’s ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’ and he’s back in the director’s chair for sports drama ‘The Boys in the Boat’ and has admitted he loves being in charge.
He told ‘Sky News’: “It’s more fun, you have a lot more control. I get to boss them around and I don’t have to learn how to row.
“It’s fun to come in in the morning and it’s fun to write a screenplay and then have somebody build a set that you wrote, it really is.”
The ‘Tickets to Paradise’ actor admits he’s fortunate to get to do the things he loves so late in his career.
He said: “As you get older, you need to have other things to do.
“You can’t just do one thing. I’m lucky because I’m 62 and I get to do the stuff I love, and a lot of people don’t get that.
“I’m well aware of it, and I celebrate it because, you know, if I’m not having fun, I think people would be really [redacted] off. If they look at my life, you go, ‘If you’re not enjoying that, then, you know, then who knows.'”
However, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t still enjoy acting.
He said: “I still like acting. I have fun.”
Before he quipped: “I just did a film with Brad Pitt, he’s an up-and-coming actor.”
Clooney and Pitt, 60, are starring in Jon Watts’ psychological action-thriller ‘Wolfs’, which hits cinemas in September.

Argyle director Matthew Vaughn addresses Taylor Swift conspiracy theory

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Vaughn has shut down rumours Taylor Swift secretly wrote ‘Argyle’.
The 52-year-old director has weighed in on the notion the ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker could be the person behind the Elly Conway pseudonym for the mysterious first time author, whose identity remains a secret.
However, Vaughn told Rolling Stone magazine: “I’m not a big internet guy, and it was actually my daughter who came up to me — this is the power of celebrity and the internet — and said, ‘You never told me Taylor wrote the book!’
“And I’m looking at her going, ‘What are you talking about Taylor Swift wrote the book? She didn’t write the book!’
“And I was laughing because I was like, ‘It’s not true! She didn’t write the book!’ But my daughter was convinced of it.”
The script for the movie was written Jason Fuchs, based on a yet to be released novel by Conway, who is actually played by Bryce Dallas Howard in the film.
The mystery surrounding the identity of the enigmatic writer has prompted plenty of conspiracy theories, with Swift tied to the rumours because of her love of argyle sweaters and her two Scottish Fold cats Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson.
Vaughn added: “There is a real book … and it’s a really good boo. And there is an Elly Conway who wrote the book, but it’s not Taylor Swift.
“And I say that because I imagine Taylor Swift has a load of people trying to jump on her bandwagon left, right, and centre. I don’t want to be a part of that club.
“I did read the conspiracies and I was like, ‘Wow, they don’t leave a stone unturned!’ But it’s not Taylor Swift. She definitely didn’t write the book.”
Still, the ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ hitmaker did provide the inspiration for the Scottish Fold that appears in then film.
Recalling one Christmas, Vaughn explained: “I’m running around the house and I hear a noise, and the kids had seen a Taylor Swift documentary [‘Miss Americana’] and there was a Scottish Fold in that, and they’d persuaded my wife, Claudia [Schiffer], to get them the kitten for Christmas.
“It was bought without my permission and hidden from me.”

Gladiators revival ‘will return for another run in 2025’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Gladiators’ will reportedly return for another series in 2025.
The BBC’s revival of the beloved game show returned to the small screen over the weekend, but bosses are already in talks to recommission the series for a big money deal ahead of filming later this year.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column: “There are already plans to make another series.
“The new episodes are due to be filmed this summer.”
The classic show initially ran for eight series from 1992 to 2000 on ITV, before a short-lived revival on Sky One with two series across 2008 and 2009.
The launch show for the BBC’s reboot on Saturday (13.01.24) was watched by six million viewers, beating the likes of ‘Dancing On Ice’ and ‘The Masked Singer’ with more expected to tune in via BBC iPlayer.
The source said: “The viewing figures are proof that there is still a big appetite for ‘Gladiators’ after all these years.
“It has made it an easy decision to commission another run.”
Not everyone has been impressed, with former host Ulrika Jonsson recently blasting bosses for cutting cheerleaders – who were a big part of the original show – from the revamped series.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she said: “It brought tears to my eyes because they have kept the music and the general feel of it so really, they have done a great job.
“But no cheerleaders! I just don’t understand it. I don’t know if it’s some kind of wokery?”
Bradley Walsh and his son, actor Barney Walsh, are to co-host the BBC reboot, and ‘The Chase’ presenter recently revealed his wife and Barney’s mum, Donna Derby, used to choreograph the cheerleaders on the original series.
He recently told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Barney’s mum, my wife, used to choreograph all the cheerleaders and then subsequently became an associate producer on the show for all the boys that ran the show originally.”

Hannah Waddingham was told she didn’t have a face for TV as a child

OHMYGOSSIP — Hannah Waddingham was told she didn’t have a face for TV as a child.
The ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘Sex Education’ star – who started out with fleeting roles in British soaps such as ‘Brookside’, ‘Doctors’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ alongside the West End before going on to star in several global hits including ‘Game of Thrones’ – was determined to prove the drama teacher who mocked her appearance in front of her whole class wrong.
She told BBC Radio 2’s Michelle Visage on her podcast ‘Rule Breakers’: “I had one drama teacher that said to the whole class: ‘Oh Hannah will never work on screen because she looks like one side of her face has had a stroke.’
“I thought, I will do. Come hell or high water, I will work on screen.”
She sure showed them wrong as she’s gone on to star in countless shows and earned an Emmy, a Critics Choice Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her portrayal of Richmond FC owner Rebecca Welton in Apple TV+ comedy ‘Ted Lasso’.
Hannah hopes she inspires other theatre stars wanting to crossover into screenwork.
She said: “This is why, in my Emmys speech, I made a point – the one thing I said to myself [was], if this weird moment comes and I get this award, and I get my foot in this door, I’m going to rip it off its hinges for music theatre people, or theatre people, to follow.”
However, proving the teacher wrong caused the ‘Tom Jones’ star to “knacker myself senseless”.
She said: “I used to be doing a [theatre] show at night and I used to literally take anything to get myself on screen.”
The 49-year-old actress found it “insulting” that in her early acting days she only ever landed “one scene or one episode” gigs and demanded more from her agents.
After a break, she landed the role of Septa Unella for eight episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’ from 2015 to 2016.
She said: “It got to the point where I realised I was only getting one scene in this, or one ep[isode] in that. And I went, do you know what? I think I’ve done enough… This isn’t cool anymore. Why should I be constantly feeding into someone else’s storyline?
“So I said to my agents at the time, ‘I’m not doing it anymore… If it’s one scene, I’m not doing it anymore, and you shouldn’t be putting me up for it because it’s insulting. I’ve been a leading lady for 22 years. I’m not doing it anymore. I’d rather be in a world where I’m appreciated.’
“So I fully stepped back. And then ‘Game of Thrones’ happened.”
The ‘My Family’ actress went on to share how her headmistress did everything she could to stop her from pursuing her dream career.
She recalled: “My headmistress… said: ‘You’re bright enough to read drama’, and I said: ‘I don’t want to read drama, I want to do drama’.
“She refused to give me a reference, so I managed to get a scholarship for the drama school I went to and I walked back in, put it on her desk and left the room without shutting the door.”
Hannah added: “She was always dismissive of me because, it wasn’t that I wasn’t academic, [but] I knew what I wanted to do so it annoyed her that I turned my back on the academia. So she would purposely put everyone else in the school plays and have me understudy.”

‘I’m chasing something else’: Steven Soderbergh turned down Ocean’s franchise return

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Soderbergh rejected the chance to return to the ‘Ocean’s’ franchise.
The 61-year-old director oversaw the 2000s heist trilogy but has no plans to get involved in George Clooney’s proposed sequel or the prequel movie that will star Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Speaking to Variety, Steven said: “After we made the third movie, I felt like the series was very much concluded for me.
“When the studio approached me to see if I’d be involved in continuing the franchise, I told them no, because it just doesn’t feel like a move forward for me.
“I’m chasing something else.”
Clooney hinted last month that another ‘Ocean’s’ film could be in the pipeline as he is in possession of a “great script”.
The 62-year-old star – who led an ensemble cast that also featured Brad Pitt and Matt Damon – told Uproxx: “We have a really good script for another ‘Ocean’s’ now, so we could end up doing another one. It’s actually a great script.”
Questioned if the new picture would be titled ‘Ocean’s Fourteen’, Clooney answered: “Well… I don’t want to call it that… I mean, the idea is kind of like ‘Going in Style’.”
The ‘Ocean’s’ franchise is already expanding with a prequel movie featuring Margot and Ryan set in 1960s Monte Carlo and Clooney has given his seal of approval for the project.
He said: “Yeah! Margot Robbie is my mother? I’ve always thought that.
“Ryan Gosling is my father. Now, when you think about it, it makes sense. Truly.”
Producer Josey McNamara previously insisted that the ‘Barbie’ co-stars will “do right by” the franchise – which originated from the 1960 Rat Pack flick ‘Ocean’s 11’ – and expressed his excitement at the duo sharing a screen again.
He told Games Radar: “They’re wonderful together. The more projects even outside of that we can have them do would be amazing.
“I can’t really say much, but I think we’re just trying to do right by the franchise. I’m excited for people to experience it when it’s ready.”

Chad Stahelski sets Highlander reboot as next film

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Highlander’ reboot will be Chad Stahelski’s next movie.
The 55-year-old filmmaker has been developing the new take on the classic 1986 fantasy movie for several years and it has been confirmed that the project – which has Henry Cavill in the lead role – will be his next outing behind the camera.
The announcement is part of a new deal between Stahelski and Lionsgate that will give the director oversight of both the ‘Highlander’ and ‘John Wick’ franchises for the studio.
Chad said in a statement: “I am pleased to be able to grow my relationship with Lionsgate in this new oversight role for the ‘John Wick’ universe and its further expansion.
“‘John Wick’ is so close to my heart and to be able to continue shepherding it will be a blast for me. I’m so happy to also be launching another franchise with ‘Highlander’, a world that is so rich with engaging stories to be told.”
The original ‘Highlander’ film starred Christopher Lambert, Clancy Brown and the late Sir Sean Connery as immortal beings who hunt down one another to collect more power.
It was notable for its ‘There can only be one’ catchphrase and Queen soundtrack, ultimately spawning four sequels and three TV spin-offs.
It has not been confirmed if Henry will be playing a brand new character or one from a previous project but Chad knows that the former ‘Superman’ star has the “physicality and empathy” to lead the movie.
He said: “Henry obviously has the physicality, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot if you can’t carry the empathy of a character that’s lived 500 years, and I needed somebody who could do both.
“The character’s arc spans hundreds of years and he becomes many different personalities, all of which extend the timeline of his emotional growth.
“Then during our first meeting, my suspicions were confirmed: Henry was immediately riffing on the idea of the burden of immortality and you could see in his eyes that he can transform himself from being a young, vibrant soul to an old, wise soul. He had this combination I was fascinated by.”

Winterwatch’s Chris Packham given bodyguard after ‘specific threats’ made

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Packham has been given a bodyguard for ‘Winterwatch’ after “specific threats” against him were discovered.
The 62-year-old TV star presents the BBC nature show alongside Michaela Strachan and Iolo Williams revealed security for the programme had to be tightened after several threats against him and his family were found in the past month.
Speaking to The Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “A couple of times recently, before the Watches, we’ve had specific threats for me. So we’ve had a person who’s there and stays at the hotel, and then goes with me to the place.”
Chris then said he had reported the threats to the police, and hopes the issue will soon be resolved.
He explained: “We have had several threats recently that are not death threats but they’re saying, ‘We’re going to harm you.’ And they come, unbelievably, from emails. We’ve got the person’s email address, obviously, I’ve reported them to the police.
“I haven’t heard back from the police but they’ve acknowledged receipt of them. So we’ve had two in the last month, saying, ‘I’m going to harm you and harm your family.’”
Chris also revealed that police had hit a dead-end during their investigation into a previous offence made against him, which saw his gates to his home get firebombed in October 2021.
He said: “They know who these people are – ish. They don’t know precisely which person it is but they said that, you know, sometimes these things play out over a couple of years, because eventually they might fall out with one another, and then they will grass one another up, they are career criminals.
“The police described them as career criminals and on that account, they were probably paid to do the job. And they didn’t come from anywhere around here. They came from somewhere quite far off.”

Olivia Attwood speaks out on husband’s confession he wouldn’t have fancied her without her boob job

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood Dack “appreciates” that her husband Bradley admitted he wouldn’t have noticed her had she not had a boob job.
The 32-year-old reality star – who tied the knot with Sunderland player Bradley Dack, 30, in 2023 – first went under the knife at the age of 20 and after he claimed recently that he wouldn’t have noticed her on that first night had she not had cosmetic surgery, she has admitted that his “stupid honesty” has provoked an “interesting conversation” about society,
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she said: “In context, it makes sense and I appreciate his honesty. What turned his head that first night in an evening setting was the way I looked. I said ‘Do you think you would have looked [otherwise]?’ and he said ‘Maybe not!’. Not that he wouldn’t have loved me, but it’s interesting in this society how we all value face value. We all go ‘Oh he’s my type, she’s my type’. And then underneath, you either get to know that they are or they aren’t. It’s sparked quite a lot of debate online but I think him being rather stupidly honest has provoked quite an interesting conversation.”
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist has carved out a career in documentary-making since she shot to fame on ‘Love Island’ in 2017 and is now fronting ”The Price of Perfection’ for ITVX, where she explores the issues surrounding cosmetic surgery in her new series.
Olivia was keen to stress that she is “not condemning” the idea of surgical enhancements, but wants impressionable youngsters to be aware of the “red flags” in the industry and is urging them to give real consideration to the matter before going under the knife.
She said: “I’ve always had a fascination with this industry. I’ve dabbled myself. The way the cosmetics industry has grown over the last five years and the accessibility, the interest of younger people.
“Honey is 19, she first had lip filler when she was 16 done by someone in her back garden.
“For her, it was a bit of a discomfort and a bad result but it could have been a lot worse.
“If the price is exceptionally low, or lower than the market average, it should be a big red flag.
“Freebies, discounts should be a big red flag. I’d love people to take that away from this doc. I’m not condemning surgery, I think plastic surgery can be life-changing for the right patient but it’s all about the thought and execution and how you’re going to do it and who is going to do it.”

Inbetweeners legend James Buckley doesn’t think he’s actually funny: ‘I’m just funny-looking!’

OHMYGOSSIP — James Buckley doesn’t think he’s funny.
The 36-year-old actor – who shot to fame after starring as sex-mad teenager Jay Cartwright in the coming-of-age comedy ‘The Inbetweeners’ – thinks people only find him comedic because he is “funny looking”.
He is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column as saying: “I don’t actually think I’m a particularly funny person. I think that maybe I’m just funny looking and that’s why they laugh when they see me on telly.
“I’ve never approached any job as if it were a comedy, even when I was doing ‘The Inbetweeners’.”
James stars in the new Channel 5 drama ‘Finders Keepers’, in which he plays a metal detector enthusiast who, along with his fiancee’s father (played by Neil Morrisey), finds a Saxon hoard and attempts to sell it.
Reflecting on his role in the series with RadioTimes.com, James said: “It’s obviously very serious, but I think me and Neil … our job is to play it for truth, and to be truthful to the script and to the text. And I think the truth was that we both saw the comedy in it a lot of times as well.”
“There’s some stuff that’s really dark, and it goes to places where you don’t imagine – especially someone like me, who’s pretty much been strictly comedy throughout their whole career, it goes to places where you don’t imagine that – and I think that could be quite a surprise.”
James’ co-star had also spoken about the show , and how he felt the story was “so relatable”.
In an interview with the Daily Mail Weekend, Neil said: “Martin makes one bad decision, then it all goes wrong.
“That’s how most things happen, which is why this story is so relatable – and such great fun to play.”
The 61-year-old actor then revealed that he read a book about metal detecting in order to prepare for the role.
He said: “I learned how far the detector has to be off the floor, the pace you can move it and how you get a ‘read’. But detectorists are quite passionate so I’ll probably get letters saying I did something wrong!”

Hollyoaks star Nicole Barber-Lane reveals why she had ‘big anxieties’ over returning to the soap

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Barber-Lane suffered from anxiety upon returning to ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 53-year-old actress played Myra McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera from 2006 until 2019 and returned to screens in scenes aired earlier this month but admitted that she had been left in a “delicate place” since the COVID-19 pandemic struggled with the idea of coming back because of the insecurity of the job.
She told Metro.co.uk: “I did actually have very very big anxieties about coming back here. Being here, you don’t ever know when it’s ending so you don’t have any control of your life, type of thing.
“I have had a lot of anxious issues and going through the menopause, that highlighted stuff.
“So I have been in a very delicate place since COVID and had a lot of personal changes. I couldn’t afford to stay in the house that I’d lived in for a long time when COVID hit because I was actually doing touring theatre – and then nothing.”
The soap star – who was married to ‘Emmerdale’ actor Liam Fox from 1999 until 2015 and has son Ben, 24, with him – has made guest appearances on ‘Doctors’ and ‘Coronation Street’ since her time on ‘Hollyoaks’ but was working in the theatre at the onset of the pandemic and had to eventually sell her house because the show was continually postponed.
She said: “As you know, the theatre took a big hit with Covid, so that kept getting postponed when I was supposed to be going back. So, in the end I did have to give up the family home and move into somewhere smaller. So it’s been massive changes for me.”

Benidorm star Johnny Vegas forced to halt production of new show over mental health issues

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Vegas had to stop production of his new series to deal with his mental health problems.
The 53-year-old comedian was working on the second series of his Channel 4 show ‘Carry On Glamping’ and whilst he doesn’t want to sound “dramatic”, admitted that he is not sure he would “be here discussing it now” if he had not stepped away from the cameras.
Speaking in a clip from the show’s first episode – which will air on January 24 – he said: “I don’t want to be dramatic, but I don’t know if I would be here discussing it now. I honestly thought I was dying. It was horrible.”
The former ‘Benidorm’ star – whose real name is Michael Joseph Pennington – had to seek professional help after realising that he was “running on empty” and has no idea what his fate may have been had he not taken time out from filming his fly-on-the-wall series.
In the upcoming episode, he adds: “I can’t see the wood from the trees, everybody wants something from me and I’ve got nothing left to give. I am running on empty.
“I don’t know what would have happened if I hadn’t put the brakes on.”
Johnny also revealed that he is starting to feel “very lucky” after such a tough time but admitted that he is “nervous” for people to see the new batch of episodes because a lot of them feature the real-life version of himself rather than his on-stage alter ego.
He told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “After a rough time of it, I’m starting to feel very lucky for what I’ve got and for the people I’ve got around me. I’m happy.
“I’m nervous about this series because there’s a lot of Michael in it, it’s not just Johnny, and it was really hard having to down tools and admit I wasn’t coping, especially on camera.
“But hopefully people will see it’s all right not to be all right.
“I felt my body was shutting down. A lot of things were building up and with the (glamping) site, there was so much to get done.
“I was coping, I was drinking, getting through stuff, still living it large and my body and mind weren’t up for that. It was like being snow blind.”

Neve Campbell would return to Scream if she’s given a ‘respectful offer’

OHMYGOSSIP — Neve Campbell isn’t ruling out a return to the ‘Scream’ franchise – if she’s paid fairly.
The 50-year-old actress, who portrayed Sidney Prescott for more than two decades, starting with the 1996 original slasher flick, quit over a dispute over pay in June 2022 and did not appear in 2023’s ‘Scream VI’.
The next movie is in doubt after Melissa Barrera, 33, who played Tara Carpenter’s (Jenna Ortega) half-sister Sam Carpenter, was fired from the film over comments she made regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Jenna, 21, later exited the film due to a scheduling conflict with the second season of the Netflix series ‘Wednesday’ – in which she plays the title role of Wednesday Addams.
And it lost its director a month later with Christopher Landon claiming his “dream job turned into a nightmare.”
Speaking to the press at the BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills at the weekend, Neve said of the situation: “I know things are spinning at the moment and I would imagine they are spinning at the top trying to figure out what they’re going to do. I would not be surprised to get a call.”
Neve insists that if she had been a man, she would not have faced a challenge to be paid properly.
She continued: “But at the same time, I made a strong statement a few years ago, which is I did not believe that the way that I was treated would’ve happened if I had been a male and that I deserve a certain thing for having carried this franchise for as long as I have.
“We have to stand up for women in this business and know what we’re worth. That hasn’t changed for me.
“So, if they were to come back to me, it would have to be with a respectful offer that I felt was in keeping with what I bring to this franchise.”
The ‘Skyscraper’ star still has a lot of love for the ‘Scream’ movies and simply responded “We’ll see” when asked if she would reprise her role.
She said: “Would I do it? There are millions of fans out there of this franchise. These movies mean a lot to people. They mean a lot to me. They mean a lot to [Kevin Williamson]. They meant a lot to [Wes Craven]. They meant a lot to all of these cast members, and we would all love to see this franchise continue. I would hate to see it burn. So we’ll see.”
In her original statement last year, she said: “Sadly, I won’t be making the next Scream film.
“As a woman, I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to Scream. I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.”
