Billie Eilish reveals why she is ‘upset’ by America Ferrera’s monologue in Barbie

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish is “upset” by America Ferrera’s monologue in the ‘Barbie’ movie.
The 22-year-old singer wrote and recorded the hit single ‘What Was I Made For?’ for Greta Gerwig’s summer blockbuster starring Margot Robbie as the iconic fashion doll but admitted that the scene in which former ‘Ugly Betty’ star America – who plays a Mattel employee trying to connect with her teenage daughter – delivers a monologue about the perceived trials and tribulations of being a woman always gets to her.
She told Access Hollywood: “That monologue is so upsetting. Every time I hear it, any of it I’m like ‘I don’t wanna hear this right now, I’m trying to enjoy my day!’ I don’t need America telling me the truth of life and being a woman…but I do though, we all do.”
The ‘Superstore’ actress previously revealed that she was “really excited” to be taking on the role of an”adult woman in the real world” but ended up doing so many takes of her speech that her on-screen daughter Ariana Greenblatt could even recite it back to her by the time production wrapped.
She told Vanity Fair: “I was just really excited that there was room in the story for that perspective of an adult woman navigating womanhood in the real world, and also feeling connected to what Barbie stands for. And, in a way, trying to find the permission to keep loving it.
“It felt like 500 [takes]. I’m sure it wasn’t. It was probably 30 to 50 full runs of it, top to bottom. By the end, Ariana recited the monologue to me because she had memorised it because that’s how many times I had said it.”

Demi Jones

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Jones admits “nothing can faze me” since her thyroid cancer battle ahead of ‘Love Island: All Stars’.
The 25-year-old beauty – who competed on the 2020 series of the ITV dating show – is returning for the spin-off alongside the likes of Georgia Harrison, Georgia Steel, Hannah Elizabeth, Jake Cornish, Kaz Kamwi, Liberty Poole, Luis Morrison, Mitchel Taylor, and Toby Aromolaran, which begins on Monday night (15.01.24), and after she had a tumour removed in 2021, she’s never felt stronger.
As quoted by OK.co.uk, she said: “I’ve been through so much over the last four years and I’m going to go for it.
“I’m gonna go for it, and whatever happens, it’s meant to be. I’ve just been the strongest person I could possibly be and I’ve grown into myself – I’ve had all these life experiences and I just view things so differently now.
“Even though I’m 25, I feel like I’m talking like an old woman. I’m just going to throw myself into it. Nothing can faze me as such. And hopefully I will meet someone and that will like me.”
Demi – who was first coupled with Nas Majeed before claiming third place with Luke Mabbott – was only in her early twenties during her first ‘Love Island’ stint, and she says the show helped her confidence and she’s not afraid of rejection.
She said: “I was such a small-town girl, just straight out of fresh out of university. I was only 21. So I felt I did all this living and all this confidence building on the show and I’ve been in the industry now for four years, I’ve learnt so much.
“Now I feel like I’m actually a woman. I feel like I’m grown. I feel like I’ve got this fire in me now that I can go in there and be like, ‘Do you know what? This is me. Take me or leave me,’ and I’m gonna go for what I want.”

Holly Willoughby returns to ‘Dancing On Ice’

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby has returned to ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 42-year-old presenter took a break from her TV career after she was the victim of an alleged kidnapping plot in October, but reappeared on screens last night (14.01.24) with co-host Stephen Mulhern, who has replaced Philip Schofield.
In a post to Instagram, Holly wrote: “Dancing on Ice series 16!  . . .  Let’s do this one sequin at a time.”
During the show last night, the presenter also introduced her new co-host and the “amazing cast of 2024”.
She said: “To the greatest show on ice, and let’s hear it for the amazing cast of 2024. Let me just say a huge welcome to Stephen Mulhern.”
The TV star had hosted the ITV show with Philip Schofield, but the 61-year-old presenter – who also fronted magazine show ‘This Morning’ with Holly for a number of years – quit the broadcaster altogether in May last year after he admitted that he had had an affair with a younger male colleague.
A few months later, Holly confirmed she would be also stepping down from her TV duties, and emphasised it was “such a difficult goodbye”.
In a statement online, she said: “I’ve let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.
“This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.”
“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day. Richard and Judy said ‘we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’. It’s been an honour to just be part of it’s story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.”

Ferne McCann hits back at ‘mum police’ who criticise her for breastfeeding

OHMYGOSSIP — Ferne McCann has found “complete joy, peace and gratitude” in breastfeeding.
The 33-year-old reality star has daughters Sunday, six, with former partner Arthur Collins and six-month-old Finty with fiancé Lorri Haines and insisted that there is nothing “attention-seeking” about the act of breastfeeding a baby in public.
She told OK! Magazine: “I’m not anti-formula. In fact, I gave Sunday formula after I stopped breastfeeding her. What is so important is that mothers have a choice – it’s not for everyone and that’s OK. “It grows resilience and I love the warmth of snuggling up to my baby and feeding her from my body. It blows my mind. I’ve had a few comments saying, ‘All feeding is the best.’ I think it’s whatever is best for the mother and the baby.
“Lots of people think you are attention-seeking, but you’re not. It’s literally capturing a moment of motherhood.
“For me, it [breastfeeding] has given me complete joy, peace and gratitude. I think, especially with motherhood, people online can be opinionated, which is fine. I’ve said before, I welcome the mum police in. It really doesn’t bother me.”
The former ‘TOWIE’ star did admit that she has been “upset” at comments she receives on social media regarding her choices as a mother but hopes that her followers can see her “true” self when they watch her on her ITVXshow ”Ferne McCann: My Family and Me’.
She said: “I wouldn’t be human if I said it doesn’t upset me or offend me at all. I guess that’s what’s so great about doing my show and pieces like this – people can get to know me and the true me. Sometimes when people have an opinion that’s hurtful, I think, ‘But you’d probably like me if you got to know me in real life.’ It can be really hurtful and I just tune out and tune in to those things that are really important to me.”

Sam Claflin open to The Hunger Games return with a twist

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Claflin is open to a ‘Hunger Games’ return.
The 37-year-old actor played Finnick Odair in the original film series from 2013 to 2015, and he’d love to return to the dystopian franchise after the success of recent prequel film ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’.
Asked about the possibility, he told Variety he would be “100 percent” open to the idea.
However, he added: “I don’t know if there’s room for me to go back. I’m too old now.”
Still, he’s not ruling out heading back to the world of Panem, and Claflin even suggested a creative idea for a potential return.
He said: “I’ve heard rumours that people are asking for a Finnick prequel, and all I’m gonna say is that I would be all in for Finnick’s dad.”
He was a big fan of ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’, which saw Rachel Zegler and Tom Blythe lead the action.
He revealed: “Of course I have [seen it.] If you love the ‘Hunger Games’ series, you will love this movie.
“Francis Lawrence at the helm is sort of a dagger in the heart because I thought he was ours, but I’m so glad that he’s stuck with it.”
Franchise director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson previously made it clear they would never want to make a film without source material written by author Suzanne Collins.
Lawnrece told Entertainment Weekly: “If Suzanne has another thematic idea that she feels fits into the world of Panem — whether that’s with new people [or] familiar characters [like] Finnick, Haymitch, whoever — I’d be really interested in looking at it and being a part of it.
“But I don’t have any pull of just going, ‘I would love to do Finnick’s games.’
“He’s a great character, but what’s the thematic underpinnings that make it worth telling and relevant?”

Daisy Ridley teases ‘different direction’ for Star Wars New Jedi Order

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley has revealed ‘Star Wars: New Jedi Order’ will take the franchise’s story “in a bit of a different direction”.
The 31-year-old actress will reprise her role of Rey in the forthcoming sci-fi film, and she believes the movie will be a “a really fantastic exploration of the ‘Star Wars’ world”.
Speaking to AlloCiné, she said: “So I thought about it for a little bit, and once I knew what the story was and everything, I knew it was something I really wanted to do.
“I think it’s a really fantastic exploration of the ‘Star Wars’ world.
“It’s a really cool way of taking the story on in a bit of a different direction.”
Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is to direct the movie, which is expected to drop in May 2026, and she has promised the motion picture will be “something very special”.
Speaking to CNN earlier this month, Obaid-Chinoy said: “I’m very thrilled about the project because I feel what we’re about to create is something very special.
“And we’re in 2024 now, and it’s about time that we had a woman come forward to shape a story in a galaxy far, far away.”
The movie was announced at fan convention Star Wars Celebration last year, and Daisy confessed to feeling “petrified” and “overwhelmed” when her return to the universe was confirmed.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “When I was at Sundance, I did not know … I had a breakfast with Kathy [Kennedy] that I thought was just breakfast.
“And then it [the new movie] was mentioned, so I thought about it. I loved the story, and I was like, ‘Okay.’ Things then happened quite quickly, and it felt like I was instantaneously on a stage being introduced by Sharmeen.
“It honestly took me back to being 20 or 21, however old I was, when [‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’] was announced. I was petrified, I was overwhelmed, I was really nervous but the response was really wonderful.”

Jack Whitehall ‘lining up new Christmas special’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Whitehall is reportedly lining up a new Christmas special.
The 35-year-old star and his own Jackpot Productions company are said to be looking into the idea of a celebrity-filled festive special – his first since 2019’s ‘Christmas With My Father’ – in a similar vibe to ‘Saturday Night Live’.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “Christmas takes on a new meaning when you have children of your own, so it makes perfect sense for Jack to look at a festive show of his own too.
“The Jackpot team have been briefed to fill it with lots of laughs, silly sketches and celeb performances — sort of like ‘Saturday Night Live’ in the US but with a lovely festive flourish.
“Plans are under way and Jack is chatting to a number of channels to find the format a home.”
Jack became a dad for the first time in September 2023, when he and girlfriend Roxy Horner welcomed daughter Elsie into the world.
The special would be his first since becoming a father.
Although it’s still early days, it’s believed a streaming platform like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video could be an ideal home for the festive project.
The source added: “He has worked with Prime Video and Netflix in the past and both feel like good platforms for the holiday high jinks.”
He has plenty coming up before then too, having already wrapped filming on new Netflix series ‘Fatherhood With My Father’ as he travels to Berlin, Urin and Los Angeles with his parents Michael and Hilary.
And on January 30, his latest stand-up tour ‘Settle Down’ will launch on the platform.
, Jack previously suggested being a dad could mean him changing his stand-up comedy.
He said: “It’s all feeling terrifyingly grown up.
“It feels like a moment where I’m maybe transitioning into being a different type of comic and doing different types of routines.
“It will be the last hurrah for a load of anecdotes about drunken hijinks and being an idiot.
“Those always have a little bit of a shelf life as a comedian.”

‘There’s going to be quite a lot of trouble!’ Rita Simons joins Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Rita Simons has joined the cast of ‘Hollyoaks’, and Nicole Barber-Lane is to make a return to the soap.
Former ‘EastEnders’ actress Rita is to portray Joel Dexter’s (Rory Douglas Speed) mum Marie in the show, and the character is set to cause a stir in the village.
Rita said: “Marie’s got a lot of ties here, so I think there’s going to be quite a lot of trouble between quite a few characters, and you will just have to keep watching to see…”
Marie will sneak into the Chester village this year after leaving prison, and her first order of business will be to steal Mercedes McQueen’s (Jennifer Metcalfe) red dress from the McQueen washing line.
Another new ‘Hollyoaks’ arrival will see Tyler Conti appear as Cleo McQueen’s (Nadine Mulkerrin) boyfriend.
Cleo – who was last in the village in June 2022 – will return in search of Joel in a bid to reconnect, but her new fling, personal trainer Abe, will also rock up to the village to win her affection.
Tyler said: “Abe is a charming working-class young lad with a
manipulative streak a mile wide.
“The ingredients of a deeply troubled past and a complicated family life have brewed his dangerous temper, especially when things don’t go his way.
“I can’t wait for Abe to explode into to the Hollyoaks village, you can expect danger, manipulation, and one heck of a messy family that comes with.”
What’s more, Nicole is to reprise her role as McQueen matriarch Myra McQueen for a brief stint alongside her on-screen nieces Cleo and Theresa (Jorgie Porter).
Myra hasn’t been in the village since she left for a fresh start in Alicante in 2019.
Speaking about her comeback, Nicole said: “The Hollyoaks village truly feels like a home where the door is left open for you to return.
“When popping in for an episode or two, or even longer, you feel welcomed with open arms, the people behind-the-scenes are one of the loveliest, loving family I know.
“It was so great to reconnect and act with lots of familiar faces and some new ones.”
Nadine added: “I am so happy to be back in the world of ‘Hollyoaks’ being Cleo.
“I feel re-energised and super excited for all the amazing storylines coming my way.
“It’s an explosive entrance back, causing up a storm for Leela and Joel.
“Also bringing in with me some new interesting characters (Abe). I have missed it, I’m home.
“The fans can expect some unfinished business between Cleo and Joel and new mysterious man for Cleo who has a few red flags!”

‘We wanted to be thorough’: Jodie Comer had to accurately portray motherhood in The End We Start From

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Comer was determined to give a “truthful” depiction of motherhood in ‘The End We Start From’.
The 30-year-old star plays the lead character in Mahalia Belo’s survival thriller about a mother and her newborn baby fleeing flooded London after an ecological crisis and explained how it was essential that the challenges of being a new parent were portrayed accurately.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Jodie – who does not have any children – said: “I think the biggest challenge, or what I really wanted to get right, was speaking to motherhood, making sure that it felt truthful. Especially when you read a script and within the first scene, it’s a labour scene, and it’s not quick, it’s extensive.
“We wanted to be thorough with the depiction… I’m not a mother, so there are many instincts and knowledge that I didn’t have, so it was about making sure that I kind of dealt with that. I really love that, I have to say, when I think about the labour scene, the conversations we would have about breath, and where you feel it in the body.”
The ‘Killing Eve’ actress admitted that she felt a heavy sense of “responsibility” on set as she was constantly acting with babies.
Jodie said: “It was attention to detail we really wanted, and we really strived towards, and achieved. So, there are things like that (which) felt like a challenge, and also the sense of being in every scene with a newborn.
“The babies were from eight weeks old to eight months. There was that responsibility, having not been around babies an awful lot, and learning how to hold them, how to take care of them.”

‘That project had issues from the beginning’: Dolph Lundgren claims The Expendables 4 failed for numerous reasons

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolph Lundgren thinks that ‘The Expendables 4’ failed for a multitude of reasons.
The 66-year-old actor reprised his role as Gunner Jensen in the action film that disappointed both critics and audiences and thinks that a mediocre script as well as a lack of creative involvement from Sylvester Stallone contributed to the poor response to the picture.
Dolph told Screen Rant: “That project had issues from the beginning, and it usually starts with the script, it really didn’t have a good script.
“I’m not playing the lead, so it’s hard for me to weigh in on some of the issues, but I know Stallone wasn’t involved, like he usually is. He just played a character in it, and when he’s in charge, the quality is going to be pretty good, it doesn’t drop below a certain level.
“But he wasn’t involved, so I think the problem was with the script, and then the director was replaced, like, a month before shooting.”
Dolph also felt it was unwise to release the movie during the SAG-AFTRA strike last year as it meant members of the heavyweight ensemble cast – including Jason Statham, 50 Cent and Megan Fox – were prevented from doing any promotional work for the project.
The ‘Rocky IV’ star said: “Also, the picture opened during the strike, which wasn’t very clever, so they couldn’t do any publicity.
“If you would have had a big star-studded premiere with Megan and 50 and Stallone and Statham, and the rest of them, myself, Andy Garcia, there would have been more eyeballs on it. And I’m sure it would have done better, but it’s too bad. I was disappointed.”

Love Island All Stars shock as series 6 exes enter as bombshells on launch night

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Love Island: All Stars’ Islanders were left stunned on Monday night (15.01.24) when exes Callum Jones and Molly Smith entered the villa as bombshells.
Molly, 30, and Callum, 27, teamed up in 2020’s series six and they went on to have a three-year relationship off the back of the ITV2 dating show, before breaking up last year.
The pair had an awkward reunion on Monday’s ‘All Stars’ launch night when Callum initially entered as a bombshell, and Molly followed soon after, much to each other’s surprise.
Callum was told he could pick one of the girls to couple up with, but the credits rolled before viewers could find out whether he decided to opt for Molly once again, or choose from Demi Jones, Georgia Harrison, Georgia Steel, Hannah Elizabeth, Kaz Kamwi, or Liberty Poole.
The pair went their separate ways last September, but just weeks beforehand Callum insisted they were “perfect”, and admitted were hoping to get married at some point.
He said: “We are perfect. We’ve got two dogs so we’ve got a proper little family going, it’s lovely.
“There are other things we want to focus on at the minute but obviously in the future it’s definitely something we both want together…
“We’ve just not really decided when. We’re just enjoying things that we’ve got at the minute and then family and marriage will eventually come into it.”
Elsewhere on Monday night’s first-ever ‘All Stars’ episode, Jake Cornish was reunited with his ex Liberty, and the public chose to couple them up together after viewers were given the power to decide the first pairings of the series.
The public also put Anton Danyluk with Hannah, Chris Taylor with Demi, Luis Morrison with Georgia H, Mitchel Taylor with Kaz, and Toby Aromolaran with his former flame Georgia S, who he coupled up with on last year’s ‘Love Island Games’ series.

Only Fools and Horses legend David Jason’s Del Boy cloth caps sell for 10k at auction

OHMYGOSSIP — Two cloth caps worn by legendary ‘Only Fools and Horses’ character Del Boy have sold for more than £10,000 at auction.
Sir David Jason brought the market trader character to life in the BBC sitcom, and the 83-year-old star has now offloaded two of his caps over the weekend, but he was left shocked when one was bought for £7,600, and another for £3,000.
Upon seeing one of the hats go for £7,600 at a two-day Only Fools and Horses Appreciation Society convention in Milton Keynes, David is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: “Bloody hell. Wonderful.
“I don’t feel like selling it now.”
A mystery purchaser bought both hats.
Following the sales, David turned on his former Del Boy charm to joke to fans at the event: “Oi, oi, no need to worry – I’ve got 25 of these in the back of the van.”
In August, David underwent surgery to have a “bionic body part fitted”, forcing him to postpone an ‘Only Fools and Horses’ convention.
David said in a statement shared on his Facebook page about having to pull out of the planned ‘Only Fools and Horses Convention’: “I am so very sorry for the disappointment and all the inconvenience it may cause but we are having to change the date of the forthcoming ‘Only Fools and Horses Convention’.
“Unfortunately I have just been advised I need a new bionic body part fitted. I won’t tell you which part it is, or you will all want one!
“And don’t worry it’s not being supplied by Monkey Harris, it’ll be the pukka gear.”
He added about rescheduling the ‘Only Fools’ event: “I really hope everyone will be able to make the new date January 13th and 14th and we can all have something cushty to look forward to!
“These events are such an enjoyable celebration for myself and the rest of the ‘Only Fools’ cast, and it is such a privilege to meet so many of you, but I want to do it with the smile on my face I always have had.”
David signed off his statement: “Once again, please accept my sincere apologies as it was not a decision I took at all lightly and I hope that you understand my situation. All cushty wishes until then.”

BBC announces new Blue Peter presenter

OHMYGOSSIP — Shini Muthukrishnan has been announced as the newest member of the ‘Blue Peter’ team.
The 22-year-old content creator, who built up a following over the COVID lockdown through videos about her British, Indian and Malaysian heritage, will join Abby Cook, Joel Mawhinney and Henry for the dog as the 43rd presenter for the BBC children’s programme.
Shini said: “Being part of the ‘Blue Peter’ team is such a surreal and exciting feeling. It’s my first time on the big screen and I can’t wait for all the adventures to come!”
The social media star, who recently graduated from King’s College London, gushed about the series, including the impact it had on her as a child, and revealed she has “fond memories” of Helen Skelton, who presented the show from 2008 to 2013, as the host.
Shini said: “I have really fond memories of ‘Blue Peter’, Helen and Barney were my era.
“As a kid, I looked up to Helen Skelton, she seemed fearless on screen. She took on incredible challenges with such a headstrong attitude that made me think I can be fearless too.”
The new presenter is gearing up to earn her ‘Blue Peter’ badge in his first live show on Friday 19 January, in which she will take part in some exhilarating aircraft acrobatics, attempt to bath Henry the dog, and show off her cooking skills in the kitchen.
‘Blue Peter’ editor Ellen Evans praised Shini and labelled her an impressive, “exciting new talent”.
She said: “Shini is an exciting new talent, who impressed us with her adventurous spirit, sense of humour, determination and aspiration to have a positive impact on kids’ lives.
“As a digital creative, she’s built a following online creating a fun, positive space connecting with young people, and I can’t wait for the Blue Peter audience to meet Shini too!”

Patsy Palmer: EastEnders is the hardest work I’ve ever had

OHMYGOSSIP — Patsy Palmer says being on ‘EastEnders’ is the “hardest work” she has ever had.
The 51-year-old actress – who now lives in California with her family – will be reprising her role as Bianca Jackson for “a short stint this spring”, after playing the character on and off since her Albert Square debut in 1993, and the star has recalled suffering from “anxiety attacks” during her early years in the show.
She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “I was very young and we were thrown into the height of fame not realising there were 22 million people watching us.
“At some moments in all that madness back in the 1990s it would hit you and you would feel so overwhelmed and the anxiety would kick in.
“If you suffer from anxiety attacks, you don’t know what is happening.
“For me it was very environmental and about what was happening around me and what was happening in my life at that time.
“People see all the awards and people think it is glamorous, but it is the hardest work I have ever had at ‘EastEnders’.”
But Patsy admits returning to Walford feels like she is putting on an “old pair of slippers”.
She added: “I must admit, when I see people in ‘EastEnders’, when I go back to work it is like putting on an old pair of slippers. They are family.
“I spent more time with them when I was in the show than with any of my own family.”
The BBC confirmed last week that Patsy will be back in Albert Square once again, more than four years since she last appeared on ‘EastEnders’.
Patsy said in a statement: “I’m so excited to be reprising the role of Bianca. ‘EastEnders’ holds such a special place in my heart so it’s always a pleasure to be back.”
Bianca’s return will begin when her stepdaughter Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) visits her in Milton Keynes with Zack Hudson (James Farrar), following Bianca’s off-screen break-up with Terry Spraggan (Terry Alderton).
Executive producer Chris Clenshaw is “thrilled” Patsy agreed to come back to the show again because she has always been a “fan favourite” and teased there will be lots of “drama” for Bianca.
He said: “I’m thrilled to welcome the fabulous Patsy back to the iconic role of Bianca Jackson. Although the character was last seen on-screen in 2019, Bianca still remains a fan favourite. We know our audiences will be thrilled at her return as she is thrust into the heart of the drama alongside step-daughter Whitney.”
Following her 1993 ‘EastEnders’ debut, Patsy left the soap in 1999 before returning in 2008 for a six-year stint.
The actress last reprised the role for Whitney’s planned wedding to Callum Highway (Tony Clay) in 2019, but a planned reappearance in 2020 was axed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Love Island All Stars Islander ‘quits 3 days into new series’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Cornish has quit ‘Love Island: All Stars’.
The 26-year-old star was one of the 12 former Islanders who appeared on the brand-new show’s launch night episode on Monday (15.01.24), where he had an awkward reunion with his ex and season seven co-star Liberty Poole, but he has now departed the South African villa.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Jake was really shocked to see Liberty in the villa – they had no idea the other person would be there.
“It was clear from the start they wouldn’t get back together, then none of the girls wanted to step forward for him.
“Jake had a nice three days in the villa and had a very emotional chat to Maya Jama.
“Jake couldn’t stay in the villa so he quit the show – it’s not his time and it’s not the right time to find love.”
Despite making it clear there was no chance of anything romantic between them, Jake and Liberty were coupled up together after the public were given the power to choose the initial couples on launch night.
The public also picked Anton Danyluk to pair up with Hannah, Chris Taylor with Demi, Luis Morrison with Georgia H, Mitchel Taylor with Kaz, and Toby Aromolaran with his former flame Georgia S, who he coupled up with on last year’s ‘Love Island Games’ series.
Jake and Liberty – who were affectionately known as Jiberty when they became an item in 2021 – were early favourites to win series seven, but their relationship fell apart following a dramatic Movie Night episode.
The pair ended up walking from the series just four days before the final.
Ahead of the ‘All Stars’ series, Liberty confessed it would be “awkward” if she was to meet one of her exes again in the villa.
She said: “It’s always going to be awkward isn’t it, it’s always going to be weird seeing someone that you’ve been with getting with someone else.
“I wish my exes nothing but the best. I’m going to be focused on my own journey so if it was to happen I won’t be worrying about them – so I’ll stay focused on my goal, which is to find love.”

Kym Marsh flooded with support as she pays tribute to her late father

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh has been flooded with support after revealing her father passed away.
The 47-year-old actress announced that her father David had died on Friday (12.01.24) at the age of 78 after a long battle with prostate cancer.
She wrote on Instagram: “For the first time in my life … I have no words.
“I love you dad. Always and forever. Rest easy Pops. Goodnight godbless.”
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who played Michelle Connor for more than a decade on the ITV1 soap – was inundated with messages of support from fellow famous faces upon sharing the sad news.
Faye Brookes – who starred as Kate Connor on the Manchester-based soap – commented: “Sending you and your family all the love beautiful lady.”
Charlie Condou – who played midwife Marcus Dent on ‘Corrie’ – paid tribute to David, noting that he was a “wonderful” man as he sent his love to his former co-star.
He said: “Oh Kym, I’m so so sorry. He was a truly wonderful man and the most fantastic Dad. You were blessed to have him. I’m sending you so much love darling.”
Paula Lane – who played Kylie Platt on ‘Coronation Street’ – also said she was “so very sorry” to hear the news.
‘Countryfile’ presented Helen Skelton added: “Sending love to you and the family.”
Other stars to send their support included former ‘Drag Race’ contestant Baga Chipz, former bandmate Suzanne Shaw, and ‘This Morning’ host Dermot O’Leary.
Kym’s ex-husband and ‘Hollyoaks’ star Jamie Lomas said he was sending “lots of love” to the family.
On Saturday, the Marsh family made a statement to announce the devastating news, which read: “A much-loved husband, dad, grandad, great-grandad and friend to many, David passed away peacefully at home yesterday surrounded by his family.
“We are truly heartbroken and ask for privacy at this incredibly difficult time.”
David was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021, and had appeared alongside his daughter in November to discuss his condition and how he felt living with the disease on the BBC’s ‘Morning Live’, which Kym co-hosts.
Speaking to Gethin Jones, David said: “It’s daily. One day I’m alright and the next I’m bad, you know? That’s the way it is now.”
The ‘Waterloo Road’ star then added that they were taking it “day by day” and were trying to make as many new memories as possible.
She said: “It really is day by day, you don’t know. We plan for things and we are trying to plan and make as many memories aren’t we?”
The former Hear’Say singer then revealed that David’s diagnosis had brought her closer to her siblings.
She explained: “I’ve got two older brothers and an older sister. Very rare that we all get together but we’ve all been doing lots together.”
