‘I can’t relate to it anymore’ Binky Felstead hasn’t watched Made in Chelsea for 7 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Binky Felstead hasn’t watched ‘Made in Chelsea’ since she left the show – because she can no longer “relate” to it.
The 34-year-old reality TV star shot to fame in 2011 when she first appeared on the E4 series, but she quit the programme in 2017 and she hasn’t tuned in since.
Binky is now gearing up to star in new spin-off show ‘Beyond Chelsea’, which sees her reunite with fellow former ‘Made in Chelsea’ stars Rosie Fortescue and Lucy Watson and explores the goings on in their lives now, and she thinks “die-hard” ‘Made in Chelsea’ supporters will be able to relate to the new programme more.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she said: “I haven’t watched it since I’ve left.
“I have nothing against ‘Made in Chelsea’, if anything it has been amazing, we wouldn’t really be here doing the things we are doing today having not done it.
“But I just can’t relate to it anymore.
“I can’t relate to any of the situations going on.
“That’s why I think ‘Beyond Chelsea’ is going to be way more relatable for those die-hard ‘Made in Chelsea’ fans that grew up with us.
“Maybe they have had kids and got married, and I feel like they’re going to be able to relate way more to what’s going on in our lives now than by probably watching ‘Made in Chelsea’.”
Mother-of-three Binky believes ‘Beyond Chelsea’ covers more “interesting” parts of life, as opposed to Made in Chelsea’s focus on relationships and “who has cheated on who”.
She added: “When we were filming ‘Made in Chelsea’ we were all in our early 20s, having fun.
“The majority of conversations were about relationships – who has cheated on who, who has got with who.
“Now, some of us are married, have got kids, have businesses.
“I feel there’s way more interesting things to be talking about other than relationships.
“It feels like a lifetime ago.”

Tom Daley ‘to host The Traitors-style knitting TV contest’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Daley is set to host a knitting competition show in the style of ‘The Traitors’.
The Olympic star, 30, will front More4’s ‘Game of Wool’, which will see a group of contestants taken to a house in Scotland for eight weeks, where they will face off against one another in a series of knitting challenges for a chance to win a big prize.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Staging such a ferocious-sounding contest for what seems like a genteel pastime may sound wild, but the world of elite knitting can be as competitive as cage fighting.
“Channel 4 realises that there is an irony to it all, particularly as the show’s title seems to reference the backstabbing fantasy thriller ‘Game of Thrones’.
“But giving it such a grand staging – and lining up a big name like Tom – is also a reflection of how much producers respect the craft and how seriously they take it.”
‘Game of Wool’ – which is due to air on More4 next year – was announced by Channel 4 in July, and was said to be inspired by a string of celebrity knitting fans like Lorde, Ryan Gosling, Nicholas Hoult and Tom Daley.
In a statement, Senior Commissioning Editor, Clemency Green said: “I am thrilled to be commissioning this compelling format for More4 and I’m looking forward to seeing the incredible creations our knitters come up with.
“My main hope is that ‘The Game of Wool’ encourages people, young and older, to pick up the needles and experience the joy which knitting and creating can bring.”
Executive Producer Wendy Rattray teased: “This is knitting but not as you know it. Expect a rainbow coloured extravaganza set in the Scottish countryside where brilliant knitters, young and old, will produce the most unexpected and jaw dropping knits: homewares; jewellery; sculptures; shoes; furniture … and much more. Wool is officially cool and we’re delighted to showcase the best of the best in this exciting new format.”

Ricky Gervais rules out David Brent representing the UK at Eurovision

OHMYGOSSIP — Ricky Gervais has dismissed the idea of David Brent representing the UK at the ‘Eurovision Song Contest’.
While the 63-year-old comedian – who played the hapless manager on the BBC’s beloved mockumentary series ‘The Office’ – admitted he “likes the idea” of performing on the competition as David, Ricky insisted the character would underwhelm on the show because the deluded boss isn’t as “mad” as some of the real-life contestants.
In a post to X, the ‘After Life’ star wrote: “I’m not sure about him entering the real thing. I don’t think you could do it ironically because it’s all mad, camp, and kitsch.
“I don’t think David Brent would be madder than the average [contestant].”
Ricky admitted the only way David could possibly appear on a singing show was if he created his own TV contest, but the actor admitted doing this would be “too much work” for him.
‘The Office’ – which was created, written and directed by Ricky – ran for two series from 2001 to 2002, and quickly became one of the nation’s favourite comedies.
However, the actor thinks the programme couldn’t be created today due to the existence of “outrage mobs”, who would find the jokes offensive.
Speaking to Times Radio, Ricky said: “Now it would suffer because people would take things literally.
“There are these outrage mobs who take things out of context.
“This was a show about everything – it was about difference, it was about sex, race, all the things that people fear to even be discussed or talked about now, in case they say the wrong thing and they are cancelled.”
The actor – who played David again in the 2003 Christmas specials – believes people need to understand the real subject and target of the jokes.
He explained: “The BBC have got more and more careful, people want to keep their jobs, so would worry about some of the subjects and jokes, even though they were clearly ironic and we were laughing at this buffoon being uncomfortable around difference.
“I think if this was put out now, some people have lost their sense of irony and context.”

Tyra Banks has wild idea for Life-Size 3 reunion with Lindsay Lohan

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyra Banks wants to reunite with Lindsay Lohan for a new ‘Life-Size’ sequel.
The 50-year-old actress and model played fashion doll-brought-to-life Eve opposite Lohan’s Casey Stuart in the original 2000 movie, and she would love to make a third film in the series.
Appearing on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, she said: “I feel like we should do one.”
In the first made-for-television movie, Lohan – then 13 years old – played a teen who accidentally brings her doll to life using a spell which was meant to resurrect her mother.
Banks – who reprised her role as Eve in 2018’s ‘Life-Size 2: A Christmas Eve’ – even has an idea for the potential movie to bring Lohan back into the fold.
She added: “I feel like I’ve been really looking at Lindsay and I feel like, what if she was a doll?
“What if she, in some kind of way, magically turned into a doll? And then my Eve character had to teach her how to be a doll.
“I feel like that could be very interesting.”
Over the summer, Banks teased the prospect of another film in the franchise after visiting the Polly Pocket-themed Airbnb in Massachusetts.
She wrote on Instagram in August: “Oh Polly Pocket, so small in size but BIG in memories and inspiration!
“I’m sure so many kids that loved my Life-Size movie thought of you while watching it… guess it’s time to visit this lil place and dream up another script.
“What say you, @lindsaylohan? xo Eve/TyTy.”
Banks has been open about the idea since an appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ back in 2020.
Although she didn’t offer any details, she told the talk show host she was “working on ‘Life-Size 3’, although there haven’t been any firm updates.

Maude Apatow casts her mother Leslie Mann in new movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Maude Apatow has cast her mother Leslie Mann in ‘Poetic License’.
The ‘Euphoria’ actress – who has played Lexi Howard on the hit HBO show – is working on her feature film directorial debut, which has been written by Raffi Donatich.
According to Deadline, she has brought her mother on board alongside ‘No Hard Feelings’ actor Andrew Barth Feldman, Philip Seymour Hoffman’s son Cooper and ‘The Last of Us’ star Nico Parker.
The movie will be the first project produced for Jewelbox Pictures, the production company the 26-year-old star launched this year with friend and longtime collaborator Olivia Rosenbloom.
The story will follow former therapist Liz, who is about to become an empty nester.
However, her life takes an awkward turn when two inseparable best friends and college seniors Sam and Ari start to battle for her affection, causing a strain in their friendship.
There is no word yet on which characters the actors have been cast as.
Apatow – whose father is Judd Apatow – is best known for her role in ‘Euphoria’, while she has also appeared in Ryan Murphy’s ‘Hollywood’, and series like ‘Other People’, ‘This Is 40’ and ‘Knocked Up’.
She previously fired back at her critics after being branded a “nepo baby”, and while the abuse initially got her down, she is determined to keep working to prove herself in the industry.
Back in 2022, she told Porter magazine: “At first, I was sad… I try not to let it get to me because I obviously understand that I’m in such a lucky position.
“A lot of people (in a similar position) have proven themselves over the years, so I’ve got to keep going and make good work. It’s so early in my career.
“I try not to think about that so much, but it definitely drives me. I feel like I really need to prove myself, so I work extra hard.”

Jeremy Clarkson ‘really good’ and back on the farm following heart surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson is feeling “really good” and is back on the farm following his heart surgery.
The former ‘Top Gear’ presenter recently had a health scare when he started experiencing worrying symptoms during a holiday, and he was later admitted to hospital in the UK for an emergency procedure to clear his blocked arteries.
But his ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ co-star Kaleb Cooper has admitted Jeremy is in a good place.
When asked on ‘This Morning’ how Jeremy is, Kaleb said: “He’s doing good, he’s really good.
“I was with him yesterday, we were on the farm together yesterday.
“I’ll go and say hello to him in a minute and we’ll have a cup of tea.”
Quizzed on whether Jeremy’s health scare was a worrying time, he said: “Yeah, it was. I was with him when it happened and he’s definitely a fighter. He’s a strong man.
“He had the procedure and he’s doing really good.”
Kaleb admitted running a new pub has been “stressful” and “extremely challenging” for Jeremy, but he insisted the boozer is a “great place to be”.
He said: “The pub is very stressful, but it’s a great place to be.
“I was there on Friday night playing darts and it’s great.
“But it’s extremely challenging. Whenever you start a new business you get challenges you’ve not faced before, and that is a thing to take into consideration.”
Kaleb also joked: “When he’s not on the farm he’s at the pub, which is great for me, because he’s not there on the farm, so I can get on with my day job and do everything easily.”
Jeremy recently admitted it was “fine” after undergoing heart surgery.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I’m very grateful to everyone who sent supportive messages but I’m fine. I just have to not do any manual labour or dishwasher emptying for the next four years.
“At least I think that’s what the doctor said.”

Sydney Sweeney to play Kim Novak in Scandalous

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydney Sweeney is to play Kim Novak in ‘Scandalous’.
The 27-year-old star will take on the role of the ‘Vertigo’ icon in the flick that will tell the story of the love affair the actress had with the legendary dancer and Rat Pack singer Sammy Davis Jr., as portrayed by David Jonsson, in 1957.
The Miramax movie, which marks Sweeney’s ‘Euphoria’ co-star Colman Domingo’s directorial debut, will enter production once the pair have finished working on the third season of the HBO drama series.
As well as starring in the picture, the ‘Anyone But You’ actress will be producing ‘Scandalous’ alongside Tani Cohen and Bobby Rock, while Matthew Fantaci writes the script.
Davis Jr. and Novak met in 1956 on ‘The Steve Allen Show’ and later entered a romantic relationship.
The interracial couple were the subject of heavy criticism both in and out of Hollywood during a time of racial tensions in the US and Columbia Pictures head Harry Cohn threatened the ‘I’ve Gotta Be Me’ singer to end the relationship.
In 1958, a Chicago gossip columnist penned an expose about the love affair, and claimed they were planning to marry – though both denied this.
The story quickly spread throughout the nation. Davis went on to marry a black woman called Loray White in 1958, while Novak wed white actor Richard Johnson seven years later.
While exact plot details have not been revealed, ‘Scandalous’ will likely follow these events and the fallout of the couple’s love affair.
On top of ‘Scandalous’, Sweeney is also working on the as-of-yet-untitled Christy Martin biopic, where she plays the boxing champion.
The ‘Madame Web’ star has been getting into shape to portray Martin, and the actress recently shared images of her toned body as she prepares for the film.
In the Instagram post, Sweeney wrote: “Over the past few months, I’ve been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman—a true champion who fought battles both inside and outside the ring.
“Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength, and hope, and I’m honored to step into her shoes to share her powerful story with you all. More to come soon (sic).”

‘He’s out there’: Samuel L. Jackson teases Star Wars return and insists Mace Windu is alive

OHMYGOSSIP — Samuel L. Jackson has once again insisted his ‘Star Wars’ character Mace Windu is still alive.
The Jedi Master was seemingly thrown to his death in the 2005 film ‘Revenge of the Sith’ following a fierce duel with Darth Sidious (Ian McDiarmid) but the 75-year-old actor has now argued Windu is still “out there” and joked the hero was living out the rest of his days with Jackson’s ‘Pulp Fiction’ character Jules Winnfield.
During a recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, the actor told the host: “There’s a history alone, history of one-armed, one-handed people in the ‘Star Wars’ universe.
“So, just cause they cut my arm off and I fell out a window, doesn’t mean I’m dead. I’m a Jedi! The second-most powerful Jedi in the universe next to Yoda. So, I can float!
“Yeah, he’s out there. Yeah, he’s out there walking the Earth with Jules.”
This isn’t the first time the Marvel star has hinted Windu is still alive and previously revealed he had asked ‘The Mandalorian’ director Bryce Dallas Howard – who he had worked with on the spy-comedy film ‘Argylle’ – to “hook a brother up” and include the character in the Disney+ show.
Speaking on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, Jackson said: “I think [Windu] is alive somewhere … There’s a huge history of people with one hand returning in ‘Star Wars’.
“The only person I’ve ever said that to, about coming back, was Bryce Dallas Howard. I just did a movie with her, and she directs episodes of ‘The Mandalorian’.
“So I was like, ‘Do you think you might be able to hook a brother up? I mean, you like me, right?’ And she’s like ‘I love you, you’re amazing!’ So I said, ‘Put me back in it.’ I’ll learn to use the Lightsaber left-handed!”

Craig Revel Horwood ‘wasn’t expecting’ big things from Chris McCausland

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood “wasn’t expecting massive things” from Chris McCausland on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 59-year-old judge on the hit BBC One show – who has been hit with a string of jibes from the comedy sensation, 47 – has been impressed by the way the competition’s first ever blind contestant has risen to the challenge.
He told RadioTimes.com: “He is incredible. [He is a] fantastic dancer, and I love seeing that because I wasn’t expecting massive things from him.
“But every week, he seems to improve and really focuses himself, and I think that’s great.”
Since the show, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, returned to our screens on September 14, viewers and the rest of the judging panel – Motsi Mabuse, 43, Shirley Ballas, 64, and Anton Du Beke, 58 – have been in awe of the star’s dancing.
Him and his dance partner Dianne Buswell, 35, have been rapidly climbing up the leaderboard – with them taking third on October 19 with their Waltz to ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, which scored 35 points.
The ‘Son of a Preacher Man’ tour choreographer has still been critical of Chris, who has fired back with some cheeky digs of his own.
Craig added: “There are always some fantastic comments from Chris, of course, and they all get on really well, and I’m just pleased about that and loving it. I think they’re a really good, eclectic bunch.”
“I’m really loving the cast. I think they’re a whole bunch of fun, and that’s what I look forward to every week.”
Chris, who lost his sight aged 22, from retinitis pigmentosa, told the publication prior to the first live show that he was “resistant” to the idea for a while – with him saying “no a few times” – including last year’s series and the Christmas special.
The comedy star said: “One reason was for self-preservation. I didn’t think I could do it, because I literally couldn’t see what’s expected of me. And because I don’t watch it, I don’t have an attachment to the format.
“But I’d rather do something I had no knowledge of than make a show I knew everything about. I’m good at making comedy out of failure, but I’m going to take this seriously.”

It sees the Detective Inspector Fifon Lloyd, Elen Rhys, 40, partner up with ex love interest Detective Sergeant Rick Walters, Richard Harrington, 49, to solve the murder of a nurse.

“The murder opens old wounds in a small-town community, throwing a historic conviction into doubt and raising the horrifying prospect of a copycat killer.
“It is a forensic examination of a town, a killer, and a relationship, past and present.”
The BBC announced the reboot of ‘The Inspector Lynley Mysteries’, with its new name ‘Lynley’, on October 16, 2024 – which is currently in production in Ireland.

Daisy May Cooper thinks if she ever joined Loose Women she’d be ‘cancelled in 20 seconds’

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy May Cooper is certain she’d be “cancelled” in a matter of seconds if she joined ‘Loose Women’.
The ‘This Country’ star – who has appeared on the likes of ‘Taskmaster’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ and ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ over the years – has insisted she wouldn’t be a good fit for the ITV daytime panel show.
She told Closer magazine: “I’d just get f****** cancelled, I think. It’d be the quickest cancellation ever! I’d be on there for 20 seconds!”
If the 38-year-old actress did decide to join the panel one day, she’d be in good company after Denise Welch helped transform her life.
Recalling how the former soap star convinced her to stop drinking, she admitted: “She said to me, ‘It will be the f****** making of you. You will just be so much happier.’ And it really is.”
Daisy took Denise’s advice, and she revealed it had a profound impact on her day to day life.
She added: “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I’m like a f****** raccoon let loose in a garage if I have a drink.
“I’m just horrible. I’m just all over the place. When I stopped drinking, it’s like 99 percent of my problems just completely vanished.”
The mother-of-three – who has kids Pip, Five, Jack, three, and baby boy Benji – admitted despite all her TV successes, her kids aren’t impressed by her fame.
She said: “It’s funny, because I’m such a narcissist, I’ll try to sit Pip down to go, ‘Let’s watch me on The Masked Singer’. And she’ll just say, ‘No, I hate it.’
“Unless we go to Legoland and then they give me a deal on those queue-jumping passes. That’s the only time she appreciates me.”
And Daisy insisted she “never, ever” gets stopped when she’s at home in the Cotswolds, where she grew up.
She quipped: “And if I do it will be someone from school being like, ‘You’re the girl that p***** herself in PE.’ ”

Tony Blackburn reveals why he would never try Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Blackburn has insisted he “couldn’t” do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 81-year-old broadcaster – who previously won the first ever series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ on ITV back in 2002 – insisted he wouldn’t be able to repeat the winning feat on the BBC’s Latin and ballroom competition.
Asked if he’d try ‘Strictly’, he told the Metro newspaper’s 60 Seconds column: “I couldn’t because I’m no good at dancing.
“My wife was an actress and a dancer and she tried to teach me and gave up. She said, ‘You’ve got no rhythm in your body.’
“I have rhythm but it doesn’t seem to go into the rest of my body. I can give no hip action. And they’ve never asked.”
Despite not being keen on ‘Strictly’, Tony has no plans of retiring and stepped away from his career on radio.
He explained: “No, I hate the idea of retirement. I said to my wife and to the head of Radio 2, I won’t be an embarrassment to you: if I can’t do it as well as – hopefully! – I’m doing it at the moment, I’ll pack it in.
“I’m doing it now because I want to, not because I have to. And ‘Sounds of the 60s’ is Radio 2’s number one show on [BBC] Sounds.”
Tony is still in great shape, although he has insisted it’s down to being “lucky” rather than putting much effort into staying fit.
He said: “Am I? I don’t think so. Just lucky. My dad, who was a doctor, said don’t do too much exercise because it’s bad for you.
“I do quite a lot of walking but I’d rather sit down in front of ‘Coronation Street’ with a nice cup of tea.”
Still, the radio veteran has fond memories of his early days on Radio 1 and ‘Top of the Pops’, when “DJS were build up like pop stars” and getting “mobbed” everywhere they went.
He quipped: “I loved being mobbed. I haven’t had a good mobbing for years.”

Tom Holland reveals that Spider-Man 4 will begin shooting next summer

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Holland has revealed that the fourth ‘Spider-Man’ movie will begin filming “next summer”.
The 28-year-old actor starred as the web-slinger from 2016’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’ until his most recent appearance in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ three years ago and has confirmed work on the next instalment is underway and will enter production soon.
During a recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, the host asked the Marvel star what he knew about the movie, to which Holland simply said: “It’s happening.”
After Fallon pushed the actor for more information, Holland revealed: “Yeah, next summer. Next summer we start shooting, everything’s good to go, we’re nearly there, super exciting. I can’t wait.”
While plot details are being kept under wraps, the upcoming flick – which is being directed by ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton – will see Holland and his real-life girlfriend Zendaya reprise their respective roles as Peter Parker and his partner MJ.
The ‘Uncharted’ star recently teased he and Zendaya were “bouncing around the room” with excitement after reading the first draft of the script.
Speaking on the ‘Rich Roll Podcast’, Holland said: “It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job.
“I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together, and we at times were bouncing around the living room like, ‘This is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.’ But there’s a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going, but it’s exciting.”
The actor added it was important for the team to consider that the blockbuster had to fit into the wider story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
He explained: “One of the things to bear in mind with Marvel is that your film is a small cog in a large machine.
“And that machine has got to keep running. And you need to make sure you can fit into that timeline at the right time to benefit the bigger picture.
“That’s one of the challenges we’re facing. The time in which we need to get that done is a tall order but definitely achievable with the fantastic people we have working on it now.”

Tom Cruise’s mystery Warner Bros. movie entering production ‘as early as next month’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Cruise’s mystery Warner Bros. movie is set to begin production imminently.
According to Variety, the untitled flick – which stars the 62-year-old actor and is being directed by Mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu – is due to enter production in the UK shortly and could even begin shooting as early as next month.
While the picture’s story is currently unknown, Warner Bros. previously revealed Cruise would be leading a star-studded cast which includes ‘Anatomy of a Fall’ actress Sandra Hüller, ‘Breaking Bad’ star Jesse Plemons, Emmy Award-winner John Goodman and ‘Your Honor’ actor Michael Stuhlbarg.
Riz Ahmed and Sophie Wilde have also been tapped to appear in the movie.
In February, Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment confirmed they were working on the film while revealing Iñárritu would be directing and producing in what would be his first English-language picture since his Leonardo DiCaprio-starring western ‘The Revenant’ in 2015.
As well as helming the movie, Iñárritu will be writing the script alongside Nicolas Giacobone, Alexander Dinelaris and Sabina Berman.
Cruise is currently filming the eighth instalment in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise, and is also working on the sequel to ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, which will see him reprise his role as fighter pilot Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell opposite Miles Teller and Glen Powell.
In June, producer Jerry Bruckheimer admitted the movie wouldn’t begin shooting “for a while” due to Cruise’s busy schedule.
He told Deadline: “I think we have a terrific story. It’s just [a question of] how do we get everybody together and how do we get it done.
“Tom’s very busy. He’s got a lot of movies lined up, and he’s a very in-demand actor. So we’ll have to get a good screenplay, and hopefully, he’ll like it as much as we will.”

He wrote on X: “Well – the entire crew of season two of #AdamRichmanEatsBritain has just been robbed. We were driving from Birmingham to London, stopped at a rest, stop in Barnet for exactly 4 1/2 minutes to use the restroom, and came back to our van completely cleaned out.
