Sam Quek praises ‘safe’ Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Quek insists ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is “safe” for women.
While the show has been rocked by scandal recently, with both Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima leaving following complaints from their partners Amanda Abbington and Zara McDermott, Sam has insisted she has no concerns about the show.
Speaking to MailOnline, she said: “I have always felt safe in everything I have done with ‘Strictly’. I have never done it before, but I turn up to the training room, we all say ‘hi’ and have a nice chat, nothing feels out of place.”
Sam, 36, and her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin, 26, will compete in this weekend’s Halloween special and Sam has called ‘Strictly’ “one of the most rewarding things that I have done”.
She said: “The show has been one of the most rewarding things that I have done.
“It’s easy to say you can learn how to dance, which is amazing, but you also learn a lot about yourself. With dancing, I struggled a lot with my self-belief of being able to execute a dance but if you put the work in you can get the product out on a Saturday night.
“It’s the resilience really and being able to push yourself. With this, you get out what you put in.
“Away from the dancing and the TV show, it is so much fun, the crew, the staff, the talent, the pro dancers, everyone is so lovely.
“My favourite bit is when I go in on a Friday and Saturday because I love to be surrounded by people.”

Strictly’s Chris McCausland hilariously warns posture critic Craig Revel Horwood he’ll be a ‘floppy old corpse’ this weekend

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris McCausland has laughed off “villainous” ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Craig Revel Horwood’s comments about his posture – insisting “I don’t know what he expects of me”.
Despite scoring the Liverpudlian comedian an eight for his and dance partner Dianne Buswell’s emotional Waltz to Liverpool Football Club’s anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ last weekend, Craig couldn’t help but comment on Chris’ posture and the funnyman has admitted it would take “a steel rod and some shelving brackets” for him to correct his body position.
Writing in his weekly ‘Strictly’ diary for The Telegraph, he said: “Of course he went to town on my less than perfect posture, and I feel destined to hear him go on about the bloody P word for as long as I can remain in this competition.
I don’t know what he expects of me, I am an ex-computer programmer who sits on a stool telling jokes for a living – my posture is broken at a fundamental level that is only fixable with a steel rod and some shelving brackets.”
The pair will take on the “dreaded” Samba for Halloween Week this weekend, and Chris jokingly warned sour-tongued Craig that he will be dressed as a “floppy old corpse”.
He later said: “This week it’s the Samba, and its known for being absolutely bloody horrible to do. We have lost four of our fellow contestants so far during this series, and two of them have been lost to the dreaded Samba. It’s Halloween Week and so we are taking on the roles of two corpses that rise from their graves to perform to Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees.
“The thing that excites me the most about this, is that surely corpses can’t be expected to have good posture can they? I am telling you all now that my poor posture is just me getting into character as a floppy old corpse – honest, Craig! Decomposing Dianne and creepy cadaver Chris will be attempting the dreaded Samba for your spooky entertainment this Saturday, and I just hope we are not its third victim this series.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns on 26 October at 6.25pm with the results show on Sunday, 27 October at 7.20pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

Tommy Fury pulls out of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Fury has pulled out of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The former ‘Love Island’ star had spent months in negotiations for the show but just a few weeks before the celebrity contestants were set to fly out to Australia ahead of the reality competition’s return on 17 November, the 25-year-old boxer has been offered a more lucrative project, which is believed to be a rematch with KSI.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Bosses are surprised Tommy has chosen to pull out of I’m A Celebrity at this late stage as it would have been a great opportunity for him too.”
But producers aren’t too disappointed as they’ve got a strong reserve list of stars who could join the likes of Tulisa Contostavlos, Oti Mabuse and Coleen Rooney in the jungle.
The insider added: “Thankfully, the execs already had some great names waiting in the wings so they’ll now be looking at which ones fit best into the line up already booked so they can deliver a truly great series.
“With only weeks to go, bosses have lined up one of the most exciting casts in the show’s history.”
Tommy was first reported to be in talks for the show early last month.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Tommy is a great name as a potential campmate as he’s already known to the ITV audience and he’d be brilliant in the Bushtucker Trials.
“Bosses are talking with lots of celebrities and are determined to make this year’s line-up one of the best.”
And fans will be hoping to get a glimpse of Tommy’s toned physique in the jungle shower.
An ITV source added: “They also know that the super-fit boxer is likely to be a prime candidate for the annual hunk-in-the-jungle shower scenes.”
Tommy has been in the news recently after splitting from girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague, who he first met on ‘Love Island’.
He recently admitted he was “heartbroken” by the news and slammed rumours he had been unfaithful to the mother of his 20-month-old daughter Bambi.
He wrote on Instagram: “These last few weeks have been heartbreaking.
“The false allegations about me have been horrendous, thank you to everybody who has stood by me through this.”

Patrick Dempsey in talks for Scream return

OHMYGOSSIP — Patrick Dempsey is in talks to star in ‘Scream 7’.
The 58-year-old actor appeared in 2000’s ‘Scream 3’ as Detective Mark Kincaid and in 2022’s fifth movie, ‘Scream’, it was revealed Neve Campbell’s alter ego Sidney Prescott had married and had children with the cop, and with the next film in the franchise set to return its focus to her character, the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actor has admitted he may be back too.
Speaking on ‘Today’, he said: “I’m waiting on the script.
“There has been a conversation about it. I haven’t seen anything yet. So, we’ll see what happens…
“I mean, you know, it’s always good to have a job.”
It was revealed earlier this year that Neve will return to the film series, having skipped the sixth movie over a salary dispute, along with creator Kevin Williamson back at the helm.
The ‘Party of Five’ actress previously admitted she found it “so satisfying” to be heard on her pay issue.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’m super grateful that they came around on it. [‘Scream VI’] just didn’t feel right. I couldn’t after this many decades of carrying a franchise, to feel undervalued and underpaid and to know that it wouldn’t have happened to a man in that way.
“It just wouldn’t make sense for me to walk on that set. So, I’m glad I stood up for myself.”
And Neve is excited about the story for the upcoming film.
She added: “We are going to follow Sidney.
“They did pitch the concept to me, and it’s the reason that I jumped on board.
“I love these movies, they are so much fun to be a part of, I’m so grateful for them, I could never have imagined being a part of a movie that would have lasted this many decades.”
Melissa Barrera had been on board to lead the film but she was fired in November 2023 over social media posts seen as antisemitic, and shortly afterwards, her co-star Jenna Ortega dropped out due to scheduling conflicts.

Tom Hardy’s tuxedo scene in Venom: the Last Dance may have been a pitch for James Bond

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hardy’s ‘Venom: the Last Dance’ director got him in a tuxedo for one scene to showcase why he’d make the perfect James Bond.
The 47-year-old actor is one of the stars tipped to take over the iconic spy role from Daniel Craig – who hung up his tux after the 2021 blockbuster ‘No Time To Die’ – and filmmaker Kelly Marcel suggested she was trying to hint at Tom (Venom/Eddie Brock) being the ideal candidate for the job.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “There’s always been these rumours about [Tom] playing James Bond, so I may have been showing what [his] James Bond might look like.”
She later said: “I also loved the idea of him doing all of the third-act action sequence in an amazing suit and looking incredible.”
Kelly’s name has also been mentioned in a list of potential directors for the next 007 flick.
If she did go on to land the gig, she would become the first female director of a Bond film.
Kelly admitted she was “flabbergasted” to be mentioned alongside Edward Berger, David Michod, Yann Demange and Bart Layton.
She said: “That’s an extraordinary list to be on. I was flabbergasted.
“There’s never been a female Bond director, and of course, when you see something like that, it’s just incredibly humbling. So I’m grateful to be mentioned alongside any of those brilliant, brilliant directors.”
Meanwhile, Kelly admitted she has no idea “what the future holds” for Venom after they completed the three films in their contract.
Asked if she thinks a fourth movie would get the go-ahead if she and Tom had an idea, she replied: “You’d have to ask Sony. I don’t know. Yes, it is the end of a contract. We were asked to do three, we’ve delivered three, and who knows what the future holds. I hope that we’ve laid groundwork for them in this third movie with other characters and other symbiotes and bad guys that they can run with, should they choose. But this is the last one for Venom and Eddie.”
Tom first starred as Brock and the Symbiotic anti-hero in the 2018 original flick before it spawned the 2021 sequel ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’, followed three years later by ‘Venom: the Last Dance’.

Pete Wicks hits back at ‘illegal’ lift criticism on Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Wicks has hit back at Craig Revel Horwood’s criticism of his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ performance last weekend.
The 35-year-old reality star and his professional partner Jowita Przystal were blasted by the judge for “illegal” lifts in their rumba to Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ but he insists that the moves “felt right”.
Pete told spin-off show ‘It Takes Two’ on Thursday (24.10.24): “I’ve never been one to follow the rules.”
Jowita revealed that the lifts needed to feature in the performance for practical reasons due to her small stature.
The 30-year-old dancer explained: “First of all, it’s just because my legs are too short and that’s the reason why they didn’t reach the floor.
“The truth is that we tried it, and it was just so beautiful that I didn’t want to bother about, ‘Oh, let’s bend the knees 2cm down so my foot can reach the floor.’
“It was all about feelings and that storyline.”
The performance scored the couple just 22 points out of 40 but Pete leapt to the defence of his partner and suggested it was the “most vulnerable” dance that he had done on the BBC show.
The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star told host Janette Manrara: “That’s why we did it, because it felt right. I don’t think you should get any blame for that.”
Pete added: “As far as I’m concerned, that’s the dance so far that I’ve enjoyed the most, surprisingly.
“I felt like I was just dancing as me rather than just trying to remember steps, and that’s the first time I’ve done that.”

Daisy May Cooper reveals how she accidentally joined a Zoom call for ‘swingers’

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy May Cooper will “wait until the ghost of her dreams” arrives to explore her fantasies.
The 38-year-old actress has revealed that she wanted to explore magic during the COVID-19 lockdown but accidentally got involved with a “pair of swingers” when she signed up for a virtual class on Zoom.
Writing in her new memoir ‘Hexy B****’, she said: “My brain went into reverse trust as realisation dawned. Brian and Karen were swingers or doggers, or maybe both…
“If I’d wanted a threesome, I wouldn’t have feigned an elaborate interest in witchcraft — easier to put a call out on Stroud Swingers. I’ll just wait until the ghost of my dreams knocks on my door. Just like everything in the paranormal world, I remain ope..”
Meanwhile, the ‘This Country’ star – who has appeared on the likes of ‘Taskmaster’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ and ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ over the years – has insisted she wouldn’t be a good fit for the ITV chat show ‘Loose Women’ because of how she truly speaks her mind.
She told Closer magazine: “I’d just get f****** cancelled, I think. It’d be the quickest cancellation ever! I’d be on there for 20 seconds.”
Daisy – who has kids Pip, five, and Jack, three, with her ex-husband Will Weston as well as Benji, four months, with partner Anthony Huggins – also admitted despite all her TV successes, her kids aren’t impressed by her fame.
She said: “It’s funny, because I’m such a narcissist, I’ll try to sit Pip down to go, ‘Let’s watch me on The Masked Singer’. And she’ll just say, ‘No, I hate it.’
“Unless we go to Legoland and then they give me a deal on those queue-jumping passes. That’s the only time she appreciates me.”

Craig Revel Horwood wants to be a Strictly judge into old age: ‘I’ve not been cancelled yet…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood wants to be a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge into old age.
The 59-year-old star was an illustrious dancer in West End musicals before finding widespread fame on the panel of the long-running BBC Latin and ballroom show upon its inception in 2004 and joked that because he hasn’t been “cancelled” yet, he has every intention of sticking round.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “No, I haven’t changed – I have softened up a bit but I suppose the dancing has gotten a lot better. When we first started 20 years ago, of course the dancing wasn’t particularly good at all.
“I have no intention of quitting because it’s a fantastic Saturday job that I intend to do into my 80s, as long as I’m still compos mentis, darling!
“And if I haven’t been cancelled before then! But what would I do if I weren’t doing it? Remain a director – I love directing musicals, I would love to direct TV and film. I have choreographed movies like ‘Paddington 2’, for instance, which I really loved.I’m not just going to retire and just weed the garden.”
Craig also thinks that the industry has become harder for up-and-coming talent in recent years thanks to the world of reality television, which has seen everyday folk attend auditions for shows such as ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and ‘The X Factor’ and find success.
He said: “I think it’s got a lot more difficult because there’s a lot more people wanting to do it and there’s a lot more theatre schools out there. And with the advent of things like The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, all of those shows, people think that they can become an overnight success really quickly from going on a TV programme. But there’s downfalls to that as well – overnight stardom is not an easy thing. I’ve worked up the ranks like most people do – start out singing and dancing and acting, training and then you hope after three years of training you might get an audition and you might get successful. But there are downfalls as well – you’re not going to get every single job. As soon as you walk through the door, you’re being judged for how tall you are and whether you’re going to suit that part or that ensemble.
“You never really know when you’re up for a job what you’re going to get, you never really know what is going to happen. But you have to be able to collect yourself. If you do fall from grace, you need to be able to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get on with it. My advice to people now is don’t expect everything from the industry – you have to create it and you have to be in the right place at the right time.”

Johnny Vegas is convinced that his house is haunted

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Vegas thinks his house is haunted.
The 54-year-old comedian features in the cast of Channel 4’s new zombie comedy ‘Generation Z’ and explained that it wasn’t hard to get inspiration as he is convinced that a poltergeist is lurking in his property in Richmond, London.
Johnny is quoted by The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column as saying: “I have a ghost in my house. When I moved in it was the first time I had a bigger house because I grew up in a terraced street.
“But then I discovered I have a presence in my house. Other people have felt something in there too. I found out that the family before had had an exorcism.
“I think she (the ghost) is a nice woman. I just don’t think she likes company.”
Anita Dobson, 75, also features in Ben Wheatley’s series as zombie pensioner Janine but admitted that she needed some convincing before joining the cast.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress said: “I got a message from my agent saying that something exciting had just come in the inbox. I read it and thought: ‘I’m not sure about this.’
“So we had a little chat, then I spoke to Ben Wheatley, who was so lovely and sweet and unassuming, and a diamond to work with – you can’t imagine all this stuff comes out of his head!
“So I just thought, I’ve never done this before, maybe I’ll find out things about me in the process of doing it – which I did, actually.
“You may be older, but there are still good parts out there. You’ve just got to be open to them.”

Vanessa Feltz’s parents told her she needed to lose weight after her first radio appearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Feltz’s parents told her she needed to lose weight after her first radio appearance.
The 62-year-old broadcaster recalled her first interview several years ago and revealed that her mother and father had advised her to shed the pounds because they thought it would be best should she make a career in the public eye.
Speaking on the ‘White Wine Question Time’ podcast, she told former ‘Loose Women’ anchor Kate Thornton: “The very first time I was on the radio, the very, very first time, I sensed it had gone really well. I had never been on the radio before, I’d never been in a studio before, I’d never been required to speak into a microphone before. I wasn’t paid, I was an unpaid guest on a little show called ‘Jewish London’ on what was then GLR.
“I was terribly nervous, I was talking about an article I’d written about the Jewish mother and when I came out, I was absolutely floating on cloud nine because I knew I’d done a really good job. I was really funny, and I was really fluent but meanwhile my parents were listening at home.
“I was on this fabulous tidal wave of excitement, like ‘Wow, did you hear that? What did you think? Was I good? Was I funny? Did you like the line I said about that thing?’ to mum and dad and they only thing they said was ‘You really have to lose weight’. And it was the radio for Christ’s sake.”
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant – who is also known for her appearances on ‘This Morning’ and also hosted a chat show in the 1990s – later confronted her mother about the comments but doesn’t believe that the advice was meant in a “nasty” way.
She said: “When I said a few years later, ‘How could you have said that?’ and ‘Why did you say that?’ my mother said ‘Oh well, I thought you might become famous and I thought it was important that you get on a diet’. So, she must have thought it was good if just one interview on the radio might make me famous and her overwhelming thought was ‘For God’s sake, lose weight’. I don’t think she did it to be horrible, I don’t think she meant to be horrible.”
“I think she thought that being slim was just the key to everything.
“She’d never felt slim felt it herself, even though she wasn’t particularly fat either. She was a 14 or 16, she wasn’t enormous at all or noticeably fat but I think she felt it. She felt that it was a terrible disadvantage and she was trying to rescue me from the misery of being too fat, I think that what was going on. I don’t think she meant it nastily, although it wasn’t very nice, I must admit! But I don’t think she meant it nastily.”

Movie boss Steve Asbell insists Speed 3 with Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock is on the table

OHMYGOSSIP — Film executive Steve Asbell has revealed a third ‘Speed’ movie is not out of the question.
Fans of the 1994 action flick – which starred Keanu Reeves, 60, and Sandra Bullock, also 60 – have been patiently waiting for another instalment in the series after the disappointing 1997 sequel ‘Speed 2: Cruise Control’, and now the 20th Century Studios boss has insisted a third film is possible, but only if they find an idea that “excites” the two actors.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Asbell said of ‘Speed’: “It is one of those last movies that we haven’t remade. And to really be a reason to come back, it’s got to be a great idea and an idea that excites [Reeves and Bullock].
“Because that’d be the reason to see it. It’s obviously a really important title for us, but it’s not something we would handle lightly or just try to press them into service. They’d have to be a part of the development of that idea.”
At a recent screening for the film to mark its 30th anniversary, Bullock suggested that Hollywood “wasn’t brave enough” to make a third entry into the series.
However, Asbell insisted 20th Century was certainly willing to give it a go and added that the studio was “sitting by the phone” waiting to hear ideas for the possible blockbuster.
He said: “Hollywood is brave enough. We are brave enough. We are sitting by the phone.”
Bullock had reasoned the industry wouldn’t be “willing to tolerate” director Jan de Bont’s bombastic ideas for a third film because it would “require a lot from everybody”.
She explained: “All these things happened because the crazy man [de Bont] in the greenish jacket over there. He’s so soft and gentle today and I’m like, ‘That’s not the man I remember.’ But he’s the man who put the energy and the idea together, knew what the audience wanted and demanded it from everyone and everyone stepped up to play it.
“So what would that movie be that would make Jan’s brain and brilliance happy? It would require a lot from everybody.
“I don’t know if we’re in an industry anymore that’s willing to tolerate it and be brave enough to do it.”

Alan Ritchson to star in action flick Runner from Expendables 4 director Scott Waugh

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Ritchson has joined the cast of the action movie ‘Runner’.
The 41-year-old actor – who is best known for starring in Prime Video’s ‘Reacher’ series – will lead the upcoming flick that will follow a high-end courier who has three hours to transport an organ to save a seven-year-old girl who desperately needs an immediate transplant.
The mission takes a deadly turn after the leader of an infamous crime syndicate starts sending out his goons to claim the organ for himself.
The film will be directed by ‘Expendables 4’ and ‘Need for Speed’ director Scott Waugh and is expected to enter production in London next March.
Speaking to Deadline, the 54-year-old filmmaker said: “‘Runner’ with the driving force of an actor like Alan Ritchson reminds me of the Tony Scott action films I grew up on in the 90s when character and story were pivotal and the action was a spectacle.
“I couldn’t be more excited to direct this super entertaining script and bring the thrilling world of ‘Runner’ to life.”
As well as starring in the pulse-pounding movie, Ritchson will serve as a producer alongside Dan Spilo (Industry Entertainment) Mark Fasano (Nickel City Pictures), Jeffrey Greenstein (A Higher Standard), and Todd Garner (Broken Road Productions).
Greenstein teased: “‘Runner’ is the exact type of film that audiences across the globe crave – a high-octane, entertaining film that also has heart and levity.
“Alan Ritchson is tailor-made for this role and he, his action team and Scott Waugh together will keep you on the edge of your seats on this full-throttle ride.”
Garner – who previously produced the 2021 film adaptation of the fighting video game ‘Mortal Kombat’ – added he was “absolutely delighted” to get the chance to work with the action star and director.
He said: “I have been trying to work with Alan for several years now and am absolutely delighted to finally have the opportunity to work together on this remarkable project.”

Miriam Margolyes and Lesley Joseph confirmed for Celebrity Gogglebox SU2C Special

OHMYGOSSIP — Miriam Margolyes and Lesley Joseph are to appear on ‘Celebrity Gogglebox for Stand up to Cancer’.
The 83-year-old actress and the ‘Birds of a Feather, star, 79, will be taking to the sofa to watch some of TV’s best offerings for the beloved Channel 4 programme, which raises money for charity.
In a statement, Miriam said: “When they asked me to do ‘Gogglebox for Stand Up to Cancer’, I thought, ‘Well, if I can watch television and raise money for a wonderful cause, count me in!’
“What could be better than that – and doing it with my brilliant old friend of nearly 40 years – Lesley Joseph? She’s wise and funny and knows everyone; a perfect partner in crime.
“Also, ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ does vital work, and if we two old birds can help towards that – just show me the sofa, I’m all for it.”
Lesley teased her close pal would likely have “plenty of outrageous things to say” on the show, and teased she’d be doing her best to “keep [Miriam] in line”.
She said: “What a joy it is to be doing ‘Gogglebox for Stand Up to Cancer’ this year, as it’s such a vital cause and tangibly changes lives. And what fun it’ll be to sit and watch some TV with Miriam Margolyes.
“I’m sure she’ll have plenty of outrageous things to say, so I’ll be there trying to keep her in line – no easy task, mind you!”
As well as Miriam and Lesley, the programme will also feature other duos, including ‘Slow Horses’ stars Kirstin Scott Thomas and Saskia Reeves, and ‘90s comedy icons Frank Skinner and David Baddiel, in what will be the pair’s first shared TV appearance in nearly 20 years.
Frank said: “I’ve been watching TV with David Baddiel for about 30 years. We used to laugh uncontrollably at infomercials and then Dave would actually buy the product. The only TV I refused to watch with him was stuff featuring me. He never laughed enough.
“Stand up to Cancer is an amazing cause and Dave and me, back on a sofa, seems a much better deal than cycling up K2, carrying a fridge to Istanbul or any of that other sweaty stuff that people do for charity.”
‘Celebrity Gogglebox for Stand up to Cancer’ will air and be available to stream on 25 October at 9pm on Channel 4.

Strictly’s Shirley Ballas relying on ice baths and juicing to avoid spinal surgery

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirley Ballas has been taking ice baths and juicing to try to avoid spinal surgery.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ head judge, 64, has been facing serious back issues for years, but Shirley is trying to avoid going under the knife for as long as possible by juicing and taking plunges in icy waters.
Speaking to Gabby Logan on the ‘Mid Point’ podcast, she said: “I’ve got this disorder in my spine, degenerative spine which I haven’t really talked about with anybody yet. But it is three types of operation. And I don’t want to do the operations so I am doing anti-inflammatory.
“So I am trying to do more juicing I am doing ice bathing. Oh yeah, I have got a brass monkey ice bath. I can go up to about four minutes now, I have built up to in the freezing, freezing cold at 5am.
“So I would say it really stimulates me to start my day, plus I have cut my hours down at work because I don’t want any operations for as long as I possibly don’t have to have any.”
The TV star admitted the condition had been caused by years of dancing, which has ultimately led to “wear and tear on an old body”.
She explained: “It is dance related, wear and tear on an old body, on an old gal! It is just what it is, all that back bending and head flicking you see on ‘Strictly’.”
Shirley’s main goal is “100 per cent” to avoid having the spinal operation, and she has also removed processed foods from her diet in an effort to improve her health.
Last month, the ballroom dancer opened up about her back problems and revealed her condition had “deteriorated over the course of the last year”.
She told OK! magazine: “I’ve been to see three specialists and I may need surgery. It’s not a choice, I will have to get it sorted.
“It can wait until after ‘Strictly’ because I have a high tolerance for pain anyway, and it’s something I’ve been living with for many, many years, but it’s just deteriorated over the course of the last year.”

Chris Hemsworth ‘in talks to play Prince Charming’

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth is reportedly in talks to play the lead role in ‘Prince Charming’.
The ‘Thor’ actor is in line to take on the fairy tale character – who has featured in countless stories, from ‘Snow White’ and Sleeping Beauty’ to ‘Rapunzel’ and ‘Shrek’ – in Disney’s upcoming movie.
According to Variety, Hemsworth has held discussions about the project, which will be helmed by ‘Wonka’ director Paul King.
King is also co-writing the screenplay with Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker.
Plot details for the movie are being kept under wraps, and it’s yet to be revealed if the project will be animated or live action.
Although Prince Charming features in plenty of folk stories, Disney has usually included the character as a love interest for its Disney princesses.
He first appeared for the studio in 1950’s ‘Cinderella’ as her prince, but Deadline has reported that the new film won’t be specifically “linked” to the animated classic.
Hemsworth is also set to star alongside Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan in the Amazon MGM Studios movie, which will adapt Don Winslow’s 2021 short story of the same name.
The book follows a series of high-level jewellery robberies on the Pacific Coast Highway that remain unsolved after years of investigations, mostly because the criminal behind the jobs has lived by a strict code they call ‘Crime 101’.
