Tom Odell in talks to join The Voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Odell is in talks to join ‘The Voice’.
The 25-year-old musician has reportedly met with the producers of the show to discuss the possibility of getting him on board as one of the coaches, in the hope he will attract a younger audience.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Producers want the show to be a big success in its first year on ITV.
“Getting [Sir] Tom Jones and will.i.am back was the first step, now they want more credible names and ratings draws. They think Tom ticks both boxes.
“Producers have had a number of discussions with him, but have spoken to others as well. It’s not a done deal yet but they’d love to have him on board.”
The ‘Another Love’ hitmaker is the next in a long line of stars who show bosses have tried to get on board for the show, which will move from its original BBC home, as well as Sir Paul McCartney, Jess Glynne, and Phil Collins.
Producers have even tried coaxing Kylie Minogue back into her spinning red chair after she left the show in 2014 having done just one series.
‘Big Brother’ presenter Emma Willis is to present the programme when it airs early next year, and producers are also reportedly closing in on a deal with superstar Jennifer Hudson for the other vacant coaching spot.
The source added: “She is huge around the world. She’s got awards coming out of her ears and has bags of talent show experience. She’s their dream option.”

Jurassic World 2's $260 million budget

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Jurassic World 2’ is set to cost $260 million – over $100 million more than ‘Jurassic World’.
The as-yet-untitled sequel to the 2015 hit is set to almost double the initial movie’s budget when it goes into production, as the team gear up to try and create the next summer blockbuster.
Director Juan Antonio Bayona revealed to Spanish magazine El Pais Seminal he would be working with the mammoth sum of $260 million – $110 million more than the reported $150 million cost of ‘Jurassic World’.
What’s more, the movie is said to have been given an official title, and while the 41-year-old director didn’t give it away, he teased it would be revealed soon.
The news of the mammoth budget comes after Bayona recently admitted he was a fan of the original ‘Jurassic Park’ franchise, and was keen to stay true to the legacy of Steven Spielberg when he takes over the director’s chair.
He said: “I grew up watching Steven Spielberg movies and I love those movies and the legacy, so it’s a question of being truthful to the legacy and at the same time, bringing new stuff that people will appreciate.”
With ‘Jurassic World’ reportedly being part of a brand new trilogy, it’s no surprise that Universal bosses are upping the ante for the second part, especially when the first chapter made a whopping $1.67 billion worldwide, making it the fourth highest grossing movie of all time.

Jamie Dornan in talks for Robin Hood: Origins

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Dornan is in final negotiations to join ‘Robin Hood: Origins’.
The ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ actor is in talks to take on the role of Will Scarlet, who is traditionally one of the main members of the band of Merry Men and an expert swordsman, alongside the likes of Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, should Dornan take on the role it will be slightly different to the usual Robin Hood movies as Will is to be married to Marian and not best pleased when he discovers she has feelings for Robin, who will be portrayed by Egerton.
Foxx will star as comical character Little John and Eve Hewson has signed up to star as Maid Marian in the Lionsgate motion picture.
Otto Bathurst will direct the project, which is expected to starting filming in January in Budapest.
In 1991 movie ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves’, Christian Slater portrayed Will, who was the illegitimate half-brother of Robin.
Mel Brooks took on the role in ‘Robin Hood: Men in Tights’ and the character was played by Scott Grimes in 2010 movie ‘Robin Hood’.
What’s more, in 2011 TV movie ‘Princess of Thieves’ – which starred Keira Knightley – Will was portrayed by Crispin Letts.
The film – set in Nottingham, England – will show benevolent fugitive Robin Hood meeting Little John in Sherwood Forest and together they lead the band of Merry Men, stealing from the rich to give to the poor.
The moniker ‘Little’ is intended to be ironic as John is usually depicted as a gigantic warrior who lives in the forest, highly skilled with a bow and arrow and quarterstaff.

Kellie Bright: Strictly helped with my pregnancy

OHMYGOSSIP — Kellie Bright believes starring on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ helped her get pregnant.
The ‘EastEnders’ star – who is expecting her second child with husband Paul Stocker – says appearing on the BBC One dancing show helped take the focus off trying for a baby.
She said: “We started trying when I was 34, nearly 35. I fell pregnant very easily. But with the second one it was a different story.
“I think ‘Strictly’ helped as it took the focus off trying and the fact that I was nearing 40. We were trying for more than a year and I was very aware that I wasn’t getting any younger. We feel very lucky that we’re having another baby.”
The 40-year-old actress also gushed about her on-screen husband Danny Dyer and insists he will always be part of her “family”.
She told OK! magazine: “I love him to pieces, we even call each other second cousins.
“When you work together the hours we do, you can’t help but become very close, but Danny really is one of my best friends. Whatever happens in the future I know he’ll stay in my life – him and his family will stay part of my family.”
Meanwhile, Kelly took to Twitter to reveal she was pregnant earlier this year.
She shared at the time: “Shhh… Don’t tell anyone, but I’m pregnant! My hubby and I are over the moon & looking forward 2 meeting our little person in Nov #Mama@40 …
“And for those of you that want to know, I will be returning to @bbceastenders after I’ve had the baby #queenvicismyhome #LindaCarter4ever xx (sic).”

Tom Hardy to join Mad Max: Fury Road prequel?

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hardy is in talks to star in a ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ prequel.
The 39-year-old actor appeared as the titular character in George Miller’s blockbuster last year, and the director is said to be returning to write and helm the forthcoming film.
According to Australia’s Herald Sun, the prequel will be filmed in and around Broken Hill, a mining city in the far west of outback New South Wales, Australia.
Some of the action movie is set to be shot at New South Wales’ Broken Hill Studios, and filming could start as soon as the end of the year.
Despite being shot in 2012, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ – which starred Charlize Theron as Furiosa – didn’t reach the big screen until 2015.
The prequel is to focus on Furiosa’s backstory.
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ was nominated for 10 Academy Awards in 2015 and took home six gongs for Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.
It’s not yet known if Theron is to join the prequel, but she admitted she “struggled” to warm to Hardy during the filming of ‘Mad Max’.
She previously said: “Maybe the movie is what it is because we struggled so much with each other, and those characters had to struggle so much with each other.
“If we were chum-chum, maybe the movie would have been 10 times worse.”

John Hurt joins My Name is Lenny

OHMYGOSSIP — John Hurt has joined the cast of ‘My Name is Lenny’.
The ‘Alien’ actor has been announced as the latest cast member to sign up for the boxing drama movie, which has wrapped after a four-week shoot in London.
The film will tell the real life story of bare-knuckle fighter Lenny McLean – who will be portrayed by ‘Mad Max’ actor Josh Helman – and his life from starting out as a young fighter in the 1970s.
Director Ron Scalpello said: “There are many East End legends that have been brought to the screen recently, but Lenny McLean’s story has always fascinated me.
“Paul van Carter’s and Martin Askew’s script goes beyond the hyper-masculinity of this giant of a man and looks at the construction of an invincible identity that was forged in trauma.
“We’ve attracted a wonderful and diverse cast to bring this daring, street-fighting man and his 70’s world to life.
“‘My Name is Lenny’ will be a visceral, brutal and emotional experience. I, like many people, can’t wait to see Lenny’s story on the big screen.”
Chanel Cresswell will portray Lenny’s wife Val McLean, and the cast also includes Nick Moran, Jennifer Brooke, Charley Palmer Rothwell and the current bare knuckle world champion fighter Decca Heggie.
The motion picture will document Lenny taking on his rival Roy ‘Pretty Boy’ Shaw (UFC champion Michael Bisping) in three big bouts as well as how he became known as The Guv’nor after winning the championship title.
McLean was no stranger to the big screen himself having starred as Barry the Baptist in Guy Ritchie’s film debut ‘Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’, which hit cinemas a month after he passed away in July 1998.

Princess Eugenie claims Jack Whitehall has mini manhood

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Eugenie has got revenge on her prankster pal Jack Whitehall by claiming he has a small penis.
The 28-year-old comedian was left red-faced when his friend, ‘A League Of Their Own’ co-star Jamie Redknapp, took his phone and sent the 26-year-old royal – the daughter of Prince Andrew and Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson – a prank text which stated “I have a really small winky”.
Fun-loving Eugenie was happy to play along with 43-year-old Jamie revealing she messaged back to say she knew he was lacking in the trouser department.
The retired soccer player revealed: “She sad, ‘I know, I’ve seen it. So brutal, there it is.”
Jack – who appears as a regular panellist on the sports panel show with Jamie and ex-cricketer Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff with James Corden hosting – is not exactly happy with Jamie’s revelation and also claims Eugenie has not spoken to him since the gag.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Jack shared: “She has ignored me since. Fortunately, they haven’t sent anything else to Eugenie since.
“Thanks for that one, now that’s going to be out there.”
But the pranks don’t end there.
The stars of the series carried out more text jokes while filming the latest series which starts on Sky 1 on Thursday (22.09.16).
Jack tried to get revenge on Jamie by taking his mobile and messaging BT Sports pundit Ray Stubbs to ask him over to his house for a lasagne dinner.
But Jamie pointed out: “He’s a veggie”.
Speaking about the comedy programme, Jamie said: “I love this show. We don’t maybe speak a lot during the year but the moment we all get together there’s a chemistry.”

Victoria writer teases 'steamy scenes'

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Victoria’ writer Daisy Goodman has teased viewers that there are some “steamy scenes” coming in the period drama – a revelation that comes after reports main stars Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes are dating.
The screenwriter and historian opened up about what viewers can expect in future episodes of the 19th Century drama which focuses on Queen Victoria’s passionate relationship with Prince Albert.
In an interview with Express.co.uk, Daisy hinted that things were going to get hot and heavy on screen.
She said: “Well it depends what you mean by steamy, we’ve got a sauna scene, haven’t we?”
Former ‘Doctor Who’ actress Jenna, 30, plays the role of the monarch who inherits the throne at the age of 18. And the latest episode saw her fall for the dashing Prince Albert, played by Tom, 30.
Viewers watched as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert tied the knot and consummate their marriage following a ‘Pride and Prejudice’-esque courtship.
And now it’s expected that things will really heat up between the pair on the ITV programme.
Speaking after a recent screening of episodes four and five, she teased: “How many more love scenes can you have? How romantic were those two episodes? Need I say more?”
And given that Queen Victoria and Prince Albert went on to have nine children, viewers could expect to see more racy scenes.
In previous interviews Daisy, who penned the eight-part series, had described the royal duo as a “very sexy couple” – apparently the Prince even had a button beside his bed to lock the door, should they get intimate.
And the Queen’s diaries even featured an entry where she spoke about her husband in a pair of skin-tight britches without anything underneath.
Daisy has revealed that she is “quietly confident” that ‘Victoria’ will be recommissioned for a second series, following positive reviews.
The show is yet to be broadcast in America but when it does, it’s expected to have longer episodes and propel Jenna to further stardom.
‘Victoria’ continues on ITV on Sundays at 9pm.

Alan Carr lands Christmas quiz show

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr will front a festive quiz show for Channel 4.
The 40-year-old comedian will host ‘The Twelve Stars of Christmas’ in the run up to December 25, which will see members of the audience win prizes if celebrities can correctly answer questions for them.
Three famous guests will feature on each show and take it in turns to choose doors from a giant advent calendar – and behind each door will be another star, who will pose a question about topical events in 2016.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It’s another big show for Alan. He is well loved at Channel 4.”
The news comes a few weeks after it was revealed he has landed a new pre-watershed show, ‘Happy Hour’, for the broadcaster, despite his popular programme ‘Chatty Man’ being rested temporarily after a dip in ratings following its move to Thursday night.
A source said: “This is huge news for Alan – he’s getting a major new show. ‘Chatty Man’ isn’t being axed and could still come back, but this is a new show that everyone is excited about to set Alan up for the future.
“It’s going to be on much earlier at night to introduce him to a new audience, so there won’t be any drinking with guests.
“But there’ll be loads of other shenanigans with celebrities like crazy games. It’s a big show of faith in Channel 4 for Alan who has become one of our biggest stars.”
The forthcoming show will also have live music from chart-topping artists and will allow the audience to get stuck in.
‘Happy Hour’ will hit television screens later this year.

Michelle Keegan almost caught in bar brawl

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan was left fearing for her life over the weekend when a vicious brawl broke out just inches away from her.
The ‘Our Girl’ actress frantically ran down the steps of 100 Wardour Club in London on Saturday (17.09.16) night when a mystery man attempted to lunge through security and get to her.
An onlooker told The Sun Online: “It looked like he was trying something and security was stopping him from either talking [to her] or getting a picture [with her].”
The security guards pinned the gentleman down as the 29-year-old beauty was whisked away by her protective pals.
However, it’s not known whether the man – whose identity is not yet known – was with Michelle and her friends or if he was trying to get to the actress for a sinister reason.
Meanwhile, Michelle – who is married to presenter Mark Wright – has had a tough few months recently as she spent eight weeks in South Africa earlier this year filming her new war drama ‘Our Girl’
She said of the experience: “It was emotionally draining and very tiring but I had the best time and I, obviously we were there for two months, thought I might get a bit homesick after a week but I’m not joking I loved every single second of it. It was a life experience for me but it was amazing.”
However, Michelle – who portrays Lance Corporal Georgie Lane in the BBC One drama – believes shooting the new series has cured her fear of heights as she had to go up in a helicopter.
Speaking during a Facebook Live chat, she said recently: “We did (film) the helicopter (scenes) in the air, we were harnessed in and I’m actually quite scared of heights but I think after this I was fine with them. I wanted to go back up again.”

X Factor contestants 'blow chances' with wild party

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has admitted some ‘X Factor’ contestants have “blown their chances” on the show after a welcome party got out of hand.
Hopefuls who had made it to the Boot Camp stage of the competition were shown on screen at the weekend enjoying drinks to “get to know” one another, but after the cameras stopped rolling, the contestants kept drinking until 6am.
After being provided with unlimited free alcohol by topless butlers, a number of the auditionees jumped into the hot tub – with or without clothes – and rumours later swept the group that a number of contestants had slept together.
Aspiring singer Soheila Clifford, 18, said: “There were a couple of people who did get carried away on the first night. People were just getting thrown in with their clothes on.
“Truth be told though I don’t actually know who was having sex. There were rumours all over the week. People were saying about this person, that person, X person – them and them.”
And show chief Simon admitted the wild antics of the drunken hopefuls had affected their progress in the competition.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I did say to them, ‘There is a party to get to know each other. Don’t take it too far. And remember tomorrow you are going to be singing’.
“I was there for half an hour. I don’t know who kept it out of their pants. Certain people probably blew their chances.”
Simon and his fellow judges, Nicole Scherzinger, 38, Sharon Osbourne, 63, and Louis Walsh, 64, had interrupted the shenanigans to warn the contestants not to go overboard with their partying, but the 56-year-old music mogul was unsurprised that some of them didn’t heed their warning.
He said: “We got there quite early at the beginning of the party and there is always that feeling when you get 150 people together.
“I’m not surprised. I wouldn’t encourage it. But at the same time it is what it is…
“There were people who did party a little bit too much. Some people took me literally.
“I didn’t mean it that way. I meant shake hands and say hello.”

Coronation Street's Bethany Platt to find love?

OHMYGOSSIP — Coronation Street’s Lucy Fallon wants Bethany Platt to find a boyfriend by the end of the year.
The 20-year-old actress – who has played the bullied school girl in the soap for 21 months – has asked bosses of the long-running programme to recruit a new handsome cast member so that her innocent alter ego can finally have some happiness in her life.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: “Bethany needs a boyfriend, I hope they bring in a new character for her. Unfortunately she’s already pied-off Craig [Tinker, played by Colson Smith] so he’s not in with a shout and there doesn’t seem to be anyone else on the street. If she could find a nice boy, not someone who will make her do anything bad like drugs or go after her mum, that would be a really nice end to the year. I have no idea whether it will happen though!”
However, the blonde star doesn’t think love will be on the cards for her character any time soon as she’s teased that her on-screen family The Platts are set for more trauma this winter as they’re part of the show’s highly-anticipated Super Soap Month, which promises huge events in ‘Coronation Street’ and its sister show ‘Emmerdale’, in October.
She explained: “It’s really explosive but I can’t say a lot. It’s going to be amazing and I am so excited. It all kicks off for the Platts again.”
Lucy remained tight lipped on the details of the forthcoming scenes, but she did reveal that David Platt [played by Jack P. Shepherd] will be a big part of the drama as he’s still not over the death of wife Kylie [Paula Lane] and is determined to seek revenge.
She said: “David is still not over Kylie’s death and he goes all out for revenge.
“I love working with Jack. He is brilliant fun on set and plays David’s character so well. He goes off the rails – I can’t wait.”

Gemma Arterton wouldn't diet for a role

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Arterton would “run a mile” if she was told to diet for a film role.
The 30-year-old British actress is lauded for her curvaceous figure, and it was her womanly curves that earned her a role as Bond girl in 2008’s ‘Quantum of Solace’, which was Daniel Craig’s second outing as 007.
Arterton accepts that in Hollywood most actresses look a certain way but if a director or producer ever instructed her to slim down for a part she would snub the project instantly.
During an interview with Lorraine Kelly on UK morning TV show ‘Lorraine’ the host asked her what she would do if she was asked to lose weight for a movie, to which she replied: “They wouldn’t do it any more, I wouldn’t work on those movies. I’d run a mile. But I would do it if it was necessary for a part.”
Arterton also revealed she is making the move behind the camera starting with a producer role on an upcoming film she is appearing in.
‘The Girl with All the Gifts’ star is also ambitious to direct in the future but she needs the “right script”.
She said: “I would like to direct one day, I just have to find the right script, that way you are in control a little bit more, have more of a say and can be more creative. I’m just about to start shooting a film that I’m producing. I love it, I’m really enjoying the producing side.”
It seems Arterton wants to start working behind the camera to stop the current trend for actors to be cast in parts because of their social media following.
The brunette beauty has bemoaned the fact that some very talented individuals are being overlooked for roles because someone else in the running is popular on Twitter or Instagram.
In an interview with The Observer newspaper, she claimed: “I have a friend who’s been told she has to put up more ‘outfit of the days’ and regular pictures of her food because a lot of the casting for film happens on social media. The money people go, ‘Well, they’ve got 3 million followers and that actor has only got 1,000, so…’
“But I’m determined to do things differently. And that’s only because my earlier career informed me.”

Tulisa wants to play Lara Croft

OHMYGOSSIP — Tulisa Contostavlos wants to play Lara Croft on the big screen.
The 28-year-old singer is keen to make a move into movies after previously showing off her acting skills in TV series ‘Dubplate Drama’ and in straight-to-DVD British comedy film ‘Big Fat Gypsy Gangster’ and Arjun Rose’s slasher flick ‘Demons Never Die’.
Tulisa has just made her pop comeback with new single ‘Sweet Like Chocolate’ but she is already eyeing a return to acting and thinks she’d make a great Lara Croft – the daredevil archaeologist from the ‘Tomb Raider’ video games who was famously played by Angelina Jolie in two films.
In an interview with NME magazine, she said: “I want to get back into acting again. I’d like a kick-ass role like Lara Croft in ‘Tomb Raider’, or ‘Resident Evil’ – just badass.”
The ‘Resident Evil’ big screen franchise is also based on a video game series and sees Milla Jovovich portray main protagonist Alice.
And former ‘X Factor’ judge Tulisa is not worried about the prospect of having to do her own stunts for the all-action role.
She added: “I want to do martial arts, and I want to do backflips.”
However, it would seem Tulisa’s goal of playing Lara – who she shares a striking resemblance too now she has brown hair – is a distant dream as Alicia Vikander has been cast as a younger version of the heroine in an upcoming new movie.
Admitting ‘The Danish Girl’ star can’t wait for fans to see her interpretation of the gun-toting explorer, previously saying: “What we’re doing is something quite different since they rebooted the game in 2013. It’s a whole new take. We’re doing a film of that game. I’m so excited to do it. She was such an icon, I played the game when I was a kid, but they rebooted the game a few years ago so it is now becoming more of an origins story. So it’s quite different.”
Roar Uthaug will direct the movie with Graham King as producer for the MGM and Warner Bros. co-production.
