Melvin Odoom voted off Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Melvin Odoom has been voted off ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘Xtra Factor’ presenter and his professional partner Janette Manrara found themselves in the bottom two on Sunday (02.10.16) with Anastacia and Brendan Cole but they were eliminated without a dance-off.
Melvin and Janette received the lowest number of public votes and when it was discovered that Anastacia’s injury, which she struggled with on Saturday’s (01.10.16) show, would prevent her from performing again on Sunday, Marvin and Janette were sent home.
Melvin said: “I just need to say, every single person on this show; the contestants, the dancers, the production, the judges, everyone is absolutely amazing.
“It’s a blessing to be on the show and thank you for Janette, it’s been a great experience for me, so thank you.
“It was unexpected but I care about the people before everything else. I love Anastacia, I think she’s a great woman, she’s a great role model and her health comes first before everything else.
“As much as this is a great show and competition, her health comes first. It’s the way it is.”
And Janette paid tribute to Melvin, who she called a “beautiful soul”.
She said: “Melvin has got such a beautiful soul, such a gorgeous smile, an infectious personality and I just want to thank you for making this a short but extremely sweet journey for me.”

Samantha Fox is set to join Loose Women next month

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Fox is reportedly set to become a panellist on ‘Loose Women’ next month.
The 50-year-old former glamour model – who made a guest appearance on the chat show earlier this year – will saddle up alongside Gloria Hunniford, Coleen Nolan and Andrea McLean and has admitted she is “over the moon” to be joining the popular daytime show.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday about the ‘Touch Me’ hitmakers forthcoming venture, a source close to the star said: “Sam is opinionated, outspoken and sassy.
“She’s got a lot to say about the world and is over the moon about becoming a ‘Loose Women’ panellist.
“I think viewers are going to be really surprised to see the real Sam Fox and how much she has to offer the show.”
And Sam – who took part in this year’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ – is looking forward to joining fellow glamour model Katie Price because they have been “old mates” for many years.
The source continued: “Katie Price is an old mate of hers and it will be interesting to see them in action together.
“They’ve both lived full lives with lots of ups and downs so there won’t be a boring moment when they are in the same room.”
Although Sam’s position has yet to be confirmed, a spokesperson for the show has teased the programme does have different guest panellists “all the time”, and didn’t rule out the possibility of the buxom blonde’s arrival.
The spokesperson said: “We do have guest panellists all the time.”
Meanwhile, Sam – who began to appear on Page 3 at the age of 16 – has admitted she would happily grace the cover of Playboy magazine to mark her milestone.
Speaking previously on the ITV show, she said: ” I would do Playboy at 50. Joan Collins did it at 50, Farrah Fawcett did it at 50. So I would like to do that – in a very classy way, of course.”

Alesha Dixon is 'gutted' Louis Walsh didn't take Skarl3t and Four of Diamonds to live shows

OHMYGOSSIP — Alesha Dixon is “gutted” Louis Walsh didn’t take Skarl3t and Four of Diamonds through to ‘The X Factor’ live shows.
The 37-year-old singer songwriter – who joined the Irish ‘The X Factor’ judge at his home in Ibiza, Spain, on Saturday’s episode (01.10.16) – has admitted she had “fun” accompanying the music mogul in the decision-making process but was left bitterly disappointed when Louis decided to ditch the two girl bands in favour of The Brooks, 5AM and Ottavio & Bradley.
The brunette beauty – who made up one third of the band Mis-Teeq – tweeted: “Well that was fun! But I am gutted, I was really rooting for the 2 girl groups! (sic).”
However, the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge wasn’t the only one to be left saddened by last night’s result, as Simon Cowell – who was joined by Spice Girls Mel B and Emma Bunton in Malibu to whittle down his Girls category – shattered the dreams of young hopefuls Soheila Clifford, Olivia Garcia, Kayleigh Marie Morgan and previous favourite Caitlyn Vanbeck, who forgot her words during her performance.
And former Pussycat Dolls band member Nicole Scherzinger – who has been allocated the Boys to mentor this series – has admitted she is “dreading” having to make the cut-throat decision on Sunday’s episode (02.10.16).
Speaking previously about the judges’ houses round, the ‘Right There’ hitmaker – who will be joined in France by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris as she attempts to choose her final three – said: “This is my least favourite part. This is where I forget the gorgeous view and I’m dreading having to send more than half of my boys home.”
And Nicole has revealed she feels threatened by red-headed “Mrs O”, who will be selecting her three from the Overs category tonight.
She explained: “My strongest competition is Mrs O’s category, which is the Overs – they have some really strong, heavy hitters and big voices. People who are really experienced.
“[But] I definitely think I could possibly have the winner here!”

Davinia Taylor thought she'd need 'face peel' for Hollyoaks return

OHMYGOSSIP — Davinia Taylor worried she’d need a “face peel” when she returned to ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 38-year-old actress is reprising her role as Jude Cunningham, 18 years after her alter ego left the Chester village, and she admitted she was concerned that new high definition technology would make her look old.
Asked if she’d watched the show before returning, she said: “Yeah of course. I kept putting it on and thinking, ‘God, is that HD? S**t. I need a face peel.’ ”
While Davinia thinks her character – whose return involves a property scam – looks “horrific” with her new glamorous image, she has enjoyed spending hours in the make-up chair.
She told heat magazine: “She’s extremely glamorous now – massive hair, massive eyelashes.
“I look like a Cheshire housewife. It’s horrific.
“But it’s fab to have all the make-up and hair done.”
The blonde beauty is having a great time filming the show after spending so long at home caring for her three youngest children, Lux, five, from a past relationship, and Asa and Jude with fiance Matthew Leyden.
Davinia – who also has son Grey, nine, with ex-husband Dave Gardner – said: “It’s surpassed my expectations. I’ve been a full-time mum for so long, I ‘d forgotten I could do anything else except get pregnant and moan.
“It’s fabulous to have the character back.”
Since she left the show, ‘Hollyoaks’ has gone from airing twice a week to five times and she has found show bosses are much stricter now.
She said: “It used to be two nights a week and repeats and we’d all be like, ‘Let’s go out.’ Now they crack the whip.”

“He is so unegotistical – he hasn’t been in any way corrupted by fame.”
And the ‘The Theory of Everything’ star has revealed she has always been a big fan of the ‘Castaway’ actor, and prior to working alongside Hanks she watched “lots” of the films he has starred in during his four-decade spanning career at the helm of the film industry.
Speaking about what she did prior to meeting Hanks, she said: “I did watch lots of his films again – I love ‘Sleepless in Seattle.'”
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty has admitted she is “quite fortunate” because she is still able to remain in the public eye without attracting too much attention from fans.
Jones – who made her acting debut at the age of 12 when she starred in the TV movie ‘The Treasure Seekers’ alongside Keira Knightley – explained: “I am quite fortunate, because I can still be quite incognito. If you go out looking for attention then you’ll attract it, but if you’re just getting on with your life, particularly in London where everyone is engrossed in what they’re doing, you can keep a measure of anonymity.”
And Jones has admitted she used to liken the film industry to ballet, although she has since changed her perception.
She explained: “I did think that acting would be much more like being a pop star. Now I’m here, I can’t think of anything more different.”

The 24-year-old ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star – who embarked on a romance with her tattooed co-star earlier this year – has recently found out her partner had been sending suggestive messages to his ex-girlfriend Jacqui Ryland, and has admitted she is “f***ing hurt” and heartbroken.
Speaking about the cyber infidelity with her fellow cast member in a series of Snapchat videos on Saturday (01.10.16), the brunette beauty – who has been dating the French Bulldog owner for six months – said: “But just to clear those rumours up I didn’t know all those messages were going about but its f***ing hurtful and heartbreaking. I just wish none of this had happened really. Life’s a c***. Everything happens for a reason.”
This news comes after a conversation between the 27-year-old reality TV star and his 30-year-old former partner had been leaked by the mother of three, which saw admit to wanting to break-up with the former ‘Ex On The Beach’ star when they returned from filming the upcoming ITVBe series.
Although Megan has admitted she had found “some messages” on her beau’s phone previously, she has admitted she gave him a second chance because he claimed the conversation was merely “innocent flirting”.
She explained: “You know what I’m going to actually tell you guys on here what happened. I actually found some messages on Pete’s phone a few weeks ago and they weren’t good but I thought I’d give him another chance, as I feel like everyone deserves a second chance.
“The way that he was speaking to me was that he was really sorry and didn’t mean it. Obviously it’s not right that he was messaging other girls but he told me it was just ‘innocent flirting’.
“I did know about some messages that were going about and obviously that’s hurt a lot. That a boy that I thought loved me and I loved could be with me and doing that at the same time.”
However, the television personality – who recently celebrated her birthday in Marbella, Spain, and received a Rolex watch from Pete – has revealed she never saw the whole conversation and the explicit messages exchanged, which The Sun Online unveiled on Friday (30.09.16).
She explained: “But then like, today, for some girl to sell a story about it, and for me to see messages that I hadn’t seen before. That f***ing hurts. Alexander Skarsgard thinks his life is 'still s**t'

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexander Skarsgard thinks his life is “still s**t”.
The 40-year-old actor has admitted he is “incredibly grateful” for the career opportunities he has had, but still thinks his life is rubbish because he doesn’t know what he is doing with his life and is clueless about where he “belongs” in the world.
Speaking about his career and existence, he said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I get. Getting drunk on someone else’s dime listening to Abba is brilliant, but my life is still s**t. I’m still agonising. What the f**k am I doing with my life? Where do I belong? Who gives a f**k? Let me assure you, it doesn’t get any better.”
And the ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ star – who starred in the TV film ‘The Dog That Smiled’ at the young age of 12 years old – has revealed he didn’t want to be famous when he was growing up and was desperate to be “normal” and just “blend in” with other teenagers his age, which led him to take revenge on his family and enrol into the Swedish militia seven years later.
He explained: “I was desperate to be normal and blend in. That was my way to rebel.”
Meanwhile, the blonde-haired hunk – who has been cast as Detective Terry Monroe in ‘War on Everyone’ – has revealed he was “excited” to film the comedy movie.
Speaking about the production to The Guardian newspaper, he said: “It’s so un-PC, it’s so me.
“You could tell [director] John [Michael McDonagh] didn’t give a f**k about anything, which I found refreshing in a script. I’d read a couple of comedies but nothing that was fun or intelligent enough. When I got this script and it was dark and twisted and weird and completely out there, I was excited.
“[John is] a beautiful soul, which helps when you insult everyone.”

Emily Blunt had to 'channel memories' of being drunk for The Girl On The Train

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt had to “channel memories” of being drunk for her role in ‘The Girl On The Train’.
The 33-year-old actress – who plays the lead role as Rachel Watson in the film adaptation of Paula Hawins’ novel – has admitted she wasn’t allowed to taste “a drop” of alcohol whilst shooting scenes for the thriller because she was pregnant with her second child at the time she was filming, and had to reflect on “distant memories” of having too many drinks to get into character.
Speaking to The Sun Online about her preparation for the role, which sees her character battle with alcoholism and memory loss whilst trying to piece together moments she witnessed Megan’s murder whilst intoxicated, she said: “But for this movie I couldn’t touch a drop [of alcohol], so I had to channel memories, that felt increasingly like distant memories, of drunkenness. And then I went home and stared at my bump.
And Emily has revealed there have been a “couple” of times where she has no recollection of the evening whilst she has been inebriated, similar to her character.
She explained: “I’ve had a couple of blackout drunk nights in my life, yes.
“Everyone seems so shocked when I say that but give me a break.
“Everyone’s had a night like that.
“I’ve had a couple where I’m like, ‘What happened? Oh my God, what did I say?’ – where you have only the vaguest recollection of what you might have done.
“[But] I’m a really fun drunk.”
And the star – who gave birth to her daughter Violet in July this year, and has two-year-old daughter Hazel with her husband John Krasinski – has revealed the recent release has “stretched” her acting ability.

“Trying to understand this addictive personality, that sense of being unable to put one foot in front of the other without relying on a drink, has been an extraordinary experience.”

Karren Brady's 'favourite task' on The Apprentice was producing gin

OHMYGOSSIP — Karren Brady’s “favourite task” on ‘The Apprentice’ was producing gin.
The 47-year-old businesswoman – who is a panellist on the BBC One show alongside Lord Alan Sugar – has revealed she found the most enjoyment from the show when the budding entrepreneurs were asked to produce alcohol, because she has to sample the product.
Speaking to The Mirror Online about the programme, the Baroness said: “My and fellow adviser Claude Littner’s favourite task was when they produced gin. We had to try it, of course.”
And Karen has revealed instead of spitting the gin out, which you are meant to do when sampling alcohol to avoid getting inebriated, her and her colleague kept swallowing.
She explained: “And it was pointed out that our spittoon [where you’re supposed to spit it out] was empty. We were just drinking the gin – we took that day pretty seriously!”
And the star has revealed she also enjoyed a project hosted at an attraction site, because it mimicked a sketch on the popular comedy ‘Carry On’ franchise.
She explained: “There’s another one where they host an event at an attraction. I called it ‘Carry On Up The Aquarium’ – it’s hysterical.”
However, Karren has admitted despite the entertaining episodes, this series is much “tougher” than any season before.
She explained: “The tasks start tough then get tougher. There are more elements to each one so we can see if the candidates have all the skills for creating a good business. Everyone has a role to play, nobody can hide.”
And Lord Sugar’s colleague has revealed she has had to stay awake until the early hours of the morning chasing the contestants.
She said: “Yes. If it says we’re up at 2am, we were. I’ve spent most of this series in trainers and jeans, doing late nights. What’s great about ‘The Apprentice’ is that it’s authentic. There is no set-up, no script, no retakes. Any entertainment that comes from it happens naturally. I tell the candidates: ‘Please don’t ask me anything, I’m not here.’ They know the rules, Claude and I are just there to observe and report back to Alan.”

Dermot O'Leary finds it 'difficult' travelling home with the unsuccessful contestants

OHMYGOSSIP — Dermot O’Leary found it “difficult” boarding a flight home with contestants who were unsuccessful at the judges’ houses.
The 43-year-old presenter, who is on hand to console and celebrate with the shows contestants after their performances, has admitted the worst part of the judges houses is when all of the talent have to travel home together, because you can feel “a sense of loss” for those who didn’t make it to the live stage.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s TV magazine about the aftermath at Louis Walsh’s house in Ibiza, Spain, which saw him whittle his groups down, he said: “I speak to the contestants before they go to sing for Louis, Alesha and Fleur – I just give them a little pep talk – and then I’m there to put an arm round them afterwards. There’s not much I can do at this stage in the competition. It’s tough.
“Louis has made his deliberations and now we need to tell the contestants who’s going through. It’s the toughest part as you know half of them are going home unhappy.”
“Louis breaks the bad and good news to the contestants and then they come straight round to me. One of the groups tries to bundle me while they are celebrating, but they miss and land on each other instead!
“That’s it for Ibiza, but things are difficult as we’re all on the same flight home,
“So there are four groups who have been told they’re out. There’s a sense of loss for them, and elation for the ones who got through.”
Dermot – who previously hosted the show for eight years before being replaced by Caroline Flack and Olly Murs last year, to return again for this series – has admitted during the three days he was in Ibiza with Louis he had to “refresh” his memory on the contestants’ stories so far.
He explained: “I start doing my prep and refresh my memory on what the contestants have done so far. Then we film loads of links – it’s best to get them in the bag now so we can forget about them when the contestants perform.”

Alexander Skarsgard found preparing for The Legend of Tarzan 'robotic'

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexander Skarsgard found preparing for ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ “robotic”.
The 40-year-old actor – who was cast as the lead role in the recent drama film – has admitted he found the strict routine he had to follow prior to shooting scenes for the blockbuster, which saw him workout solidly and not let a “sip” of alcohol pass his lips for nine months, very rigid, although he has revealed it was an “incredible experience”.
Speaking about the months leading up to filming, he said: “I work mostly in independent movies so the scope of Tarzan was definitely different.
“I didn’t feel pressured [by the box office demands] though. It wasn’t like: ‘Oh f**k, this is a big movie.’ It was an incredible experience, but it was also nine months of just gym, work and bed. I didn’t have a sip of alcohol. It was robotic.”
Meanwhile, the star – who is the son of Stellan Skarsgard who played Orlando Bloom’s on-screen father Bootstrap Bill Turner in ‘Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’ – has revealed his father was more in tune with his tree-swinging barely clothed role as Tarzan because he used to swan around the house in the nude.
Speaking about his parent’s unusual dress sense, which puzzled him as a child, he said: “He was a weird Bergman actor. A 12-year-old kid doesn’t give a f**k about that.
“He’d be walking around naked or wearing weird Moroccan robes. As a teenager you’re just like: ‘Come on, dad!'”
However, the blonde-haired hunk has come to realise there is an inner “beast” inside of everyone.
He told The Guardian newspaper: “As with Tarzan, there’s dichotomy in the character between being a civilised man and a beast. That’s something we can all relate to. We live in a civilised society, but 12 hours ago we were beasts dancing to Abba.”

Winona Ryder mothers her Stranger Things co-stars

OHMYGOSSIP — Winona Ryder feels like a mother to her young ‘Stranger Things’ co-stars.
The 44-year-old actress has no kids herself so found it “strange” to quickly develop a strong maternal bond with Noah Scnapp and Charlie Heaton – who play her on-screen offspring – and would have done anything for them.
She said: “Honestly, I felt like Noah and Charlie were my kids.
“It was a bit alarming – it happened in an instant, almost like when my niece and nephew were born.
“It was like for the first time in my life I understood how you would jump in front of a bus for this little baby that you don’t even know yet.
“I did feel Charlie helped me a great deal with the emotion. He’s a tremendous actor.
“I also really bonded with Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven. It was great.”
Winona didn’t have much advice for the young actors, and thinks there is more that she could learn from them.
She told heat magazine: “These kids are so incredible and special and talented, and they all love doing what they do.
“The only thing I could sort of say to them is that getting to do the work is the reward, that life is short and you have to enjoy what you do – and we really, truly did.
“The attention and love we’re getting right now is so great, and I want everybody to savour it, but also to remember that it’s about the work itself.
“But really, I would feel presumptuous giving them any advice, because they’re already so amazing. I need advice from them actually.”

The 58 year old, who has been a chaser on the ITV game show ‘The Chase’ since 2010 – has praised the show for its success, as well as the programme’s host and has admitted the funny man is a delight to work with.

She added: “I love all the other chasers, we have so much fun.”
And Anne has revealed the British daytime show has overthrown ‘The Eggheads’ in terms of earnings.
