Leah Bracknell reaches fundraising target for cancer treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — Leah Bracknell has successfully raised the £50,000 she needs to undergo potentially life-saving treatment.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who starred as Zoe Tate on the ITV soap – revealed earlier this week that she has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer by doctors, but subsequently launched a fundraising campaign in the hope of receiving treatment at a cutting-edge hospital in Germany.
Leah explained her health situation on her fundraising page, writing: “Just over 5 weeks ago, I was feeling perfectly well, fit and healthy. Teaching yoga classes and workshops, it was a time of new beginnings: preparing to move house, youngest child fleeing the nest, and excited to be starting rehearsals for a comedy play, being back onstage, going on tour.
“But, it turns out that the universe had other plans. Life was about to be unexpectedly turned on its head.
“I began to feel breathless climbing stairs … I just put it down to a bit of stress. My abdomen suddenly ballooned – and within a matter of a few days I looked heavily pregnant. I could barely walk or breathe. Then, one Saturday night at the beginning of September I ended up in A&E. (sic)”
The mother-of-two had an emergency procedure to remove excess fluid from around her heart, but was subsequently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
She said: “A fairly brutal and bleak diagnosis but one I am determined to challenge and see from the perspective of “a glass half full”, going against a lifetime of pessimism, negativity and fear!!!!
“By the way, please imagine me writing this and speaking in quite an upbeat and cheerful voice. Do NOT imagine me sitting here writing through a veil of tears. I am not. Or feeling sorry for myself. I am not (yet). (sic)”
She added: “My priority is getting well and strong, so that I can continue to endeavour to be a good, mother, daughter, wife, or at least the best I can be.”

Honey G isn't a novelty act

OHMYGOSSIP — Honey G finds it “insulting” when people dismiss her as a novelty act.
The 35-year-old rapper is competing in the ‘X Factor’ live shows after being chosen by mentor Sharon Osbourne and, despite being ridiculed for her bizarre talent, she insists she isn’t a “joke” but is a “massive innovator”.
Honey – whose real name is Anna Guildford – said: “People don’t think I have talent. These people are called haters.
“I find it really insulting when people say I’m a novelty act. This isn’t a joke.
“I’m a massive innovator in the game right now.
“My fans come up to me everywhere I go. I was mobbed by about 30 schoolgirls on my high road. Everyone wants selfies with me.”
Honey sees herself as being the female equivalent of Pharrell Williams and is expecting big things.
She said: “I’m not Jay Z, I’m not Missy Elliot, I’m not Nicki Minaj, I’m not Lil Wayne, I’m Honey G. I’d love to be Honey G all the time.
“I don’t want to be considered as Anna Guildford. I want to be Honey G, the rap artist who made it big and sold out global tours. I truly believe I am the finished article – a producer as well as a rapper. I see myself like Pharrell.”
And the aspiring singer is also hoping ‘The X Factor’ helps her find love.
She told heat magazine: “I’m single and lookiong for love. I want to get married and have kids soon my biological clock is ticking.
“I tried Tinder but I came off it. I’m not f***ing about, I’m looking for something serious.
“There are a couple of celebs I have my eye on. Hopefully ‘The X Factor’ will draw me to someone I could love.”

Caroline Flack to star in West End musical?

OHMYGOSSIP — Caroline Flack has been offered the lead role in the huge West End musical ‘Bonnie & Clyde’.
The 36-year-old beauty presented ‘The X Factor’ alongside Olly Murs in 2015 but after subsequently being replaced by the returning Dermot O’Leary, Caroline could now feature in the London production, which opens at the end of 2017.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Caroline’s really keen to earn her stripes in theatre and has been seeing lots of different productions recently, including ‘Yerma and The Libertine’.
“Next year is going to see a real shift for her.
“She’s not moving away from television, but mixing telly with theatre.
“It’s a dream she’s been working on since she was a teenager and she’s taking it very seriously.”
Caroline is currently in America, where she is holding meetings about her next career move.
The source added: “Rumours of going away to ‘find herself’ are not true. Caroline is away in the US for a holiday and meetings.”
Meanwhile, Caroline’s ‘X Factor’ replacement Dermot recently revealed he told bosses on the show that he’d only return if they allowed him to have lie-ins.
The popular TV presenter insisted auditions for the talent show started later so he could get a little extra beauty sleep.
Dermot explained: “My return was carefully negotiated around a slightly later call-time which I cherish.
“I don’t mind working till 2am as long as I don’t have to start at 8am the next day.”

Nicole Scherzinger reveals security fears

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Scherzinger admits that the recent robbery of Kim Kardashian West has served as a “wake-up call for everyone”.
The ‘X Factor’ judge was upset by news that Kim was robbed at gunpoint by masked thieves in Paris, France, and Nicole has confessed the incident has reminded her of the potential dangers of fame.
She shared: “It’s a reality check, it’s a wake-up call. I was upset when I heard because Kim’s my friend. I only care about her wellbeing and the kids’ wellbeing as anybody would.
“I’ve had stalkers. I thought I would be safe but I had people stalking me from the show.
“People who are just not right in the mind. You never know so you have to be well aware. It’s a wake-up call for everyone.”
Meanwhile, Nicole’s ‘X Factor’ co-star Simon Cowell has advised celebrities to curb their social media posts in light of the robbery in France.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I think it’s always good to communicate with your fans but try not to be impulsive. Christ, you’ve got to be careful.
“There are a lot of people out there who just want to write negative things. So don’t empower them and don’t read them.”
Simon, who has a two-year-old son, Eric, with socialite Lauren Silverman, was the victim of a robbery last year when thieves broke into his London mansion.

Anna Kendrick: I want to play a World War II soldier

OHMYGOSSIP — Anna Kendrick dreams of playing a World War II soldier.
The 31-year-old actress is among the most sought-after stars in the movie business but has revealed she has still to fulfill her dream of playing a member of the armed forces.
She shared: “There is a role I really want that I’ll probably never get. I want to play a soldier in World War II.”
But the ‘Pitch Perfect’ actress – who was a huge fan of the series ‘Band of Brothers’ – has admitted she would like to play the role of someone involved in combat, revealing she wants to be “badass”.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “Like ‘Band of Brothers’ and ‘A Sister’ or something. And don’t tell me I can play a nurse – that’s not the point.
“I’m talking about being heroic and s**t. Risking my life for my country. The morality isn’t supergrey with World War II – not like modern wars which are ethically complicated and kind of a bummer. I want to be a badass.”
Meanwhile, the Hollywood star also admitted that some of her character traits are incompatible with her chosen career path.
She explained: “My favorite qualities about myself are sometimes other people’s least favorite qualities about me.
“I can be very exacting and practical, and sometimes in filmmaking, people want to just feel it and make magic happen.”
Asked to elaborate, Anna said: “OK, so I know you’re trying to frame me saying this line with the horse coming through at the right time. So why don’t I just keep yelling the line, and when the horse comes through, we’ll have the shot?
“But lots of directors feel that’s not ‘art’. They think I’m being uppity. But if the horse needs to move through the frame let’s make it happen! I just want to execute the idea.”

J.K. Simmons' role as Commissioner Gordon will be an honest depiction of the comic

OHMYGOSSIP — J.K. Simmons has teased Commissioner Gordon will be an honest depiction of the comic in ‘Justice League’.
The 61-year-old American actor has hinted his portrayal as Batman’s Associate Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming movie will remain true to the popular comic books, and his character’s costume was a decision agreed upon by all of the crew.
When discussing Gordon’s latest look for the highly-anticipated film, Simmons said: “That’s what I wanted very much to do. As we sort of went back and forth with Zack and I and the wardrobe and hair and make-up and all those people saying how we wanted the look to be, I think we all ended up being very much on the same page.”
This news comes after the 50-year-old filmmaker – who is directing the forthcoming production – took to social media and teased the first image of Commissioner Gordon on set, which saw him adorn a classic hat and trench coat.
The caption on the post, which was shared on his Twitter account, read: “#JusticeLeague #BatmanDay (sic).”
Meanwhile, Simmon’s has revealed he was “really excited” to be a part of the team, and is hopeful he will feature in another sequel.
He told Collider.com: “I mean there are two schools of thoughts about that for actors. It is kind of nice, in a way- especially when you’re playing a supporting part- to start out just kind of doing a little ‘Oh and then you’re gonna walk down this hall, say hi to this guy, and that’s your days’ work.’ Kinda get your feet wet. Or whether it’s better to just dive into the deep end and get some of the heavy stuff out of the way. It was fun, I mean that whole universe is something I’m really excited to be a part of for a while down the road hopefully.”

Kristina Rihanoff would do Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristina Rhianoff may return to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ for the annual festive special.
The 39-year-old dancer has no regrets about quitting the show after eight years, and though she insists she is currently too busy with her and partner Ben Cohen’s three-month-old daughter Mila to want to go back on the programme, she won’t rule out a comeback in the future.
She said: “I’ve been watching it [‘Strictly Come Dancing’] and it’s a little weird to be on the other side. I wouldn’t have wanted to go back. Not because I didn’t love the show, but ‘Strictly’ has such an intense schedule.
“Having a family makes our priorities shift so much. I don’t want to miss Mila growing up. But never say never. I would maybe go back for the Christmas special.”
The blonde beauty isn’t worried about shedding all her baby weight and doesn’t think she’ll ever get her pre-pregnancy figure back.
She said: “It’s unfair there’s so much pressure on women to look a certain way. There’s a pressure to bounce back after having a baby.
“I’m not like that – I’ve put on a few pounds. I don’t think I’m going to get back to the same shape as I was before.
“I’m not obsessed with being skinny. I want it to happen naturally. I can’t diet because I’m breastfeeding.
“New mums have to be realistic and give themselves a break. I’m not back in my skinny jeans just yet.”
Kristina admits she finds it “hard” to feel out of shape, but her daughter’s needs come first.
She added to Closer magazine: “To all the other new mums out there, I’m in exactly the same position.
“You feel vulnerable and you are out of shape, which is especially hard for me because I’m a dancer. But when you have a baby, everything takes a different perspective. Mila’s the most important thing to me. So being a certain size now comes secondary, it’s insignificant.”

The 55-year-old actor will take on the role of Zuri, an elder statesman in Wakanda, in the Marvel movie, which stars Chadwick Boseman as the titular superhero, Variety reports.
The movie is expected to expand on the storyline that was first introduced in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ of how T’Challa becomes the Black Panther.

Amanda Holden's sister in intensive care after car crash

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden’s sister has been seriously injured in a horror car crash.
Debbie Holden, 44, is in intensive care in Cornwall where she is said to be in a “critical but stable” condition and Amanda, 45, immediately rushed to her bedside following Thursday’s (06.10.16) accident.
A source told The Sun: “It’s been a very difficult 48 hours and the whole family have been pulling together and trying to keep positive.
“Amanda is very close to her sister. They’re only a year apart and there’s something about them together which is really special. Amanda’s still with her in hospital.
“Everyone is hopeful she will eventually make a full recovery.
“Thank God, no one else was hurt in the accident. Now we’ve just got to get Debbie through this.”
“Free spirit” Debbie’s work includes deep sea diving and underwater photography and she divides her time between Cornwall and Koh Lanta in Thailand.
Last year she was trapped on Mount Everest following the earthquake in Nepal.
Amanda revealed on ‘This Morning’ that Debbie had been climbing the mountain in the capital city of Kathmandu when the disaster struck, causing an avalanche and killing approximately 3,000 people.
She said: “It’s awful, I can barely speak. My mum and dad are watching and listening to you [the rescue experts] for information… But my sister is climbing Mount Everest and very luckily she is at a place that is the last camp before you get to the base camp one on the south side.
“There was only four of them left at that camp because my sister was suffering so badly from altitude sickness that she didn’t walk up to base camp – which actually, potentially, might have saved her life.”

Amy Adams to star in Enchanted sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Adams will star in Disney’s ‘Enchanted’ sequel.
The 42-year-old actress – who found fame as Princess Giselle in the 2007 movie – will reprise her role in the sequel, which will be called ‘Disenchanted’, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The follow up, set 10 years after the original, will feature Giselle “questioning her happily ever after, and accidentally triggering events that make everyone’s lives turn upside down in both the real world and in the animated kingdom of Andalasia”.
In the first movie Gisele rejected Prince Edward (James Marsden) in order to remain in New York with Robert Phillip (Patrick Dempsey), a divorce lawyer she fell in love with, and his daughter Morgan.
It is not yet clear if Patrick or James will return for the sequel.
The sequel was originally due to be filmed in 2010 and is now set to begin filming in 2017, 10 years on from its original release.
‘Rock of Ages’ director Adam Shankman will helm the project, while David Stem and David Weiss have written the script.
Amy’s involvement in the film comes as a surprise as she previously insisted it was a “perfect standalone movie”.
She said: “It’s a perfect standalone movie. It has a great beginning, a great middle, and a great end. I watched it recently, because I typically don’t watch my work a lot, and I thought, I really like that movie. It was nice to revisit that work and have really positive feelings about it. But I think it works so well.”
However, James has spoken of his desire for a sequel.
He said: “We all hoped it would happen. I don’t understand why they never did it. It was a very successful movie…But at some point when the gray hairs start coming, you can’t really play the quintessential animated prince anymore.”

Bobby Norris broke his finger after 'sprinting in the dark'

OHMYGOSSIP — Bobby Norris broke his finger and tore the ligaments in his foot after “sprinting in the dark”.
The 30-year-old ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star has revealed he was wheelchair bound during filming of ‘The Only Way Is Marbs’, which was filmed in the party destination in Marbella, Spain, because he got his foot “trapped” under a tree root when he was running one evening.
Speaking to BUILD Series London about the accident, the television personality said: “I had a little bit of a mare. So I was sprinting in the dark and think I got my foot trapped under like a tree root or over a log or something and I ended up ripping all my ligaments and breaking my finger.
“So we had a little blinged up wheelchair out in Marbs and now we’ve blinged up the crutches now we’re back in Essex.”
And the popular series, which is set to hit the screens on Sunday (09.10.16), has revealed snippets of what is in store for the spin-off series in the sunny climate, including Bobby struggling to get to grips with the mobility aid.
However, Bobby has revealed the second incident occurred because he “didn’t realise” a wheelchair’s wheels would get stuck in the sand.
Speaking about his tumble, he said: “Me and Gemma, we go for a bite to eat on the beach. A lovely day in Marbs, as you do. We went for a bit of paella, jug of sangria, soaking up the atmos.
“And I didn’t realise that you couldn’t use a wheel chair on sand. We tried and the wheels, it becomes a bit like sinking sand. And then I was like, going, going, gone. And yea, hit the deck.”
Although Bobby has previously been filmed prancing around in a skimpy ‘Schlong thong’ in previous episodes, has revealed he has changed his ways and will “absolutely not” be caught in outrageous swimming garments in the forthcoming season because he is about “real swimwear”.
He explained: “Absolutely not, no. I’ve turned 30 and I’ve turned a corner. This is kind of butch Bobby now. It’s kind of had it’s day now and I’m all up for a laugh and a joke, but no, I’m about real swimwear now.
“I brought the bling with my accessories this time.”
Meanwhile, Bobby believes ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ is the best reality TV show because the cast are “more relatable”.
He explained: “I think ‘TOWIE’ is a little more relatable. More every day, grounded people. In the sense of that I think ‘Made in Chelsea’ is a luxury, lavish lifestyle. It’s amazing the lives that they live, but it is not everyday life not everyone can always relate to that.”

Phillip Schofield's show You're Back In The Room has been axed

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield’s show ‘You’re Back In The Room’ has been axed after just two series.
The ITV comedy game show – presented by the 54 year old and magician Keith Barry – was reportedly axed after producers struggled to find “great celebrities” to appear on the show.
A source said: “The show got mixed reviews but not bad ratings at first but ultimately the balance between great names and keen people couldn’t keep going.
“They only really managed to twist the arms of ITV stars onto the show – with the likes of Joey Essex, the ‘Loose Women’ ladies and the cast of ‘Coronation Street’ all making an appearance.”
It is believed the first series of the show had a viewing of just over four million, which later dropped to just over three million in its second series.
The show reportedly had ‘mixed reviews’ by viewers but not bad ratings.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The balance between great names and keen people couldn’t keep going.”
However, the silverfox has not been blamed for the shows failure, and has been credited as a “brilliant” host.
Speaking about the ‘This Morning’ co-host, the source continued: “ITV thought Phillip did a brilliant job as host. His commentary was hilarious and he loved doing the show but he’s got some new formats coming up for the channel and sadly something had to make way.
“They’re sad it’s dying a death as there’s not really a show of its kind on telly right now, but after two series it had done its job.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr’s partner dressed in his mum’s clothes the first time he met her.
The 40-year-old television presenter got engaged to his partner Paul Drayton last month, and the star has admitted his beau’s eccentric style led him to try on his parents clothes when he was first introduced to the Carr family.
Speaking on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’, Alan said: “He’s [Paul’s] a bit like a Sunderland Su Pollard [wearing] things you wouldn’t usually put together … I was terrified of introducing [him to my parents] but I thought you’ve got to introduce them so I took him up to Northampton and I put them in a really nice restaurant. Paul turns up, he’s got yellow crocs on, green shorts, a really disgusting outfit and my mum goes ‘Oh Paul don’t wear that, this is a nice restaurant go [and get changed into something of Alan’s.]’ Well we’re leaving in about five minutes he’s at the top of the stairs he goes ‘Hey Christine is this alright?’ [And he was wearing her clothes].”
But despite his lack of fashion sense, the star of ‘Alan Carr: Chatty Man’ thinks his fiancé is a “lovely man”.
He said: “I thought I’d be single forever, I really did. He is a lovely man isn’t he!”
Speaking previously about the engagement, the chat show host said he wanted his good friend Adele to perform at the wedding.
He said: “The engagement only happened last week so I don’t know exactly what we’ll do.

And the strawberry blonde beauty has thanked her friend Holly Anna Scarsella for coming to her rescue.

However just hours before the television personality announced the news, she had shared a string of photos of her enjoying a pleasant day filled with a bundle of “treats”.
Alongside a photo of a ‘Matthew Williamson: Fashion, Print and Colouring Book’, Aerin skin care products and a number of beauty products from Victoria Beckham’s make-up collection VB x Estée Lauder, she wrote: “F R I D A Y treats @matthewwilliamson book, @victoriabeckham X @esteelauder make up and @aerin skincare (sic.)

Speaking previously, she said: “It can be extremely hard at times being in the public eye but at the same time, ‘MIC’ has helped me so much to promote my loves, my blog and my jewellery brand … I’ve learned to stick true to myself. Katie Price taking break from Loose Women

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price has announced she is taking a break from ‘Loose Women’ to work on her marriage to Kieran Hayler.
The former glamour model will spend a month off the ITV daytime show to have therapy with Kieran to resolve some outstanding issues relating to his extra-marital affairs with two of her best friends.
Katie had to talk about Kieran’s betrayal with her best friend Jane Pountney at length while promoting her new autobiography ‘Reborn’ and she admits the experience has re-opened a lot of old wounds which need healing from 2014.
During her appearance on the panel on Friday (07.10.16), she said: “I thought I was over it [the affair] but obviously it’s opened it up again, having to talk about it. I thought I dealt with it but when I look back I was concentrating on the babies and I was numb from when it all happened.
“I was contracted [to do the book tour] so obviously you have to do certain things, so whenever I was asked questions I was trying to bat them off with the good stuff, I’m quite good at putting up a defence but I just couldn’t do it with this – I was getting asked questions like, ‘The moment you saw them on the beach, what was it like?’ It’s something that I just don’t want to relive again, it’s something that’s been awful, torture. I haven’t got any more tears to cry, my heart is shattered, it’s broken, it’s nowhere near healed. I haven’t got no tears.”
Admitting her revelations about her own feelings have been difficult for Kieran to process, she added: “It’s also been hard for Kieran, he’s changed in two-and-a-half years, he’s had his therapy, and then we’ve got the book out again and he’s having to relive what kind of person he was. And I’m having to relive it with a fresh mind, I haven’t just had a baby and think, ‘Oh my god, this is really what he did to me.’ ”
Katie and Kieran – who have two children, Jett, three and Bunny, two, together – are going to have therapy together.
The 38-year-old star insists the professional help is more for reassurance rather than to solve any specific problem.
Katie – who has three other children from previous relationships – explained: “We are [having therapy together], not because there’s anything with our relationship … we are going to see a therapist to reassure us both that we’re fine, we’ve been through all of that so we can get through this. Throughout my life I’ve never sat down and spoke about it, I’m always, ‘It’s fine…’ ”
