Sarah-Jane Mee 'owes a lot' to Eamonn Holmes

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah-Jane Mee “owes a lot” to Eamonn Holmes’ double hip replacement.
The 38-year-old presenter is set to take over from the Irish host on Sky’s breakfast show ‘Sunrise’ later this month and believes she never would have secured the role if he hadn’t gone under the knife earlier this year following crippling arthritis.
She said: “I didn’t quite rock up to his hospital bed with a bunch of flowers and his P45, but I do owe a lot to his titanium joints.”
However, although the brunette beauty believes Eamonn’s operation spurred on his decision to leave, Sarah-Jane is convinced she’ll be seeing a lot more of him on screen now that he’s got new joints.
She explained: “He’s great, a complete professional, and I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of him now he will be off doing different things.”
Sarah-Jane has plenty of experience when it comes to presenting shows as she previously worked on Sky Sports but she has admitted she’s nervous about taking over from Eamonn, who has fronted the programme for 12 years, as all eyes will be on her when its title is changed to ‘Sunrise with Sarah-Jane Mee’ this month.
She told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I’m not bothered about ME: It’s my coffee! Where will I keep my coffee? And my notepad! I’ve spent years perfecting the art of scribbling down notes while looking in to the camera!”
The presenter is known for her high energy levels but she’s adamant her presence on the show won’t be “too horribly upbeat” as she has to start at 5:30am.
She said: “Oh don’t worry, I promise not to be too horribly upbeat. Not everyone wakes up in a state of joy, myself included. People need to to be brought up to speed about the news in an informal yet informative way.”

Freddy Parker spent hours in Nicole Scherzinger's dressing room after X Factor exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddy Parker spent hours in his mentor Nicole Scherzinger’s dressing room after he was given the boot ‘The X Factor’ last weekend.
The 18-year-old aspiring singer – who was the first of the brunette beauty’s Boys category to be eliminated from the competition – was devastated when he was axed from the show on Sunday (16.10.16) but left with a smile on his face after the Pussycat Dolls star discussed his talent and gave him some encouragement.
He explained: “After I was voted off, I went into Nicole’s dressing room after and spoke to her for ages. She has been so supportive about it. She is amazing.”
Although the teenager has waved goodbye to the programme, he’s hoping he will stay in touch with the 38-year-old singer as she’s taken his contact details.
Speaking to The Metro Online, he explained: “She got my email address and my number so hopefully we will stay in touch.
“Her best advice for me was to carry on writing loads of music. She was like: “Write, write, write, write! That’s how to do it and get all your stuff out there.”
Freddy’s heart sunk yesterday evening when he found out he was in the bottom three for the second time in two weeks and would have to take part in the sing off.
The wannabe star went up against Sharon Osbourne’s Saara Aalto but the judges failed to come to a decision and it was pushed to Deadlock, which sees things revert to the public vote and the person with the least saves is eliminated from the show.
He explained: “I think I was voted out as I don’t think I connected with the audience. I was exploring myself as an artist and what I could do on the show.
“But I don’t regret it! I’m glad I risked and changed it up a bit. But Deadlock is kind of the worst way to go, really. It’s sad for me I was the person least voted for by the public. But it’s fine. I’ll get over it. I can deal with it.”

Alan Carr's Chatty Man was axed over lack of celebrity guests

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr’s ‘Chatty Man’ was axed because bosses were struggling to book celebrity guests.
The 40-year-old comedian has admitted his well-loved chat show, which ran from 2009 and saw the likes of Kim Kardashian West and Justin Bieber grace the golden sofa, was given the chop because it was proving hassle trying to secure three new stars for the mid-week slot on Channel 4.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Monday (17.10.16), he said: “Do you know what it’s like, with chat shows, I mean 16 series. I’ve got an amazing two-year deal with Channel 4, and I can do whatever I want, I love you so much thank you Channel 4.
“But I don’t want when this ends next year is all I’ve done is a chat show. I want to try new things, so I want to try something a bit different. Booking three guests on a Wednesday, you’ve got to have three guests on the sofa and it’s just getting harder and harder.”
However, although his famous chat show has been taken off air, Alan – who is known for his high-pitched voice – is set to bound back onto screens later this year with a new star-based series.
The show, which is reportedly called ‘Alan Meets’, will see the presenter jet abroad as celebrity guests let him and his camera crew into their lives for a short period of time.
An insider explained: “Alan is really excited about getting his new project off the ground. The idea is that he will travel around the world meeting all sorts of A-list stars, spend quality time with them and show a different side to viewers, while finding out some secrets.”
And, although details surrounding the new series are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being, it’s thought Alan jetted across to Las Vegas, Nevada, earlier this summer to meet his first guest Calvin Harris following his split from Taylor Swift.
The source said: “He went out to Vegas recently where Calvin does his nightclub residency and did some filming with him.
“It was only a test run and the format is in its early stages of development, so it’s yet to be decided whether the Calvin stuff will make the screen, but it was a good start.”

Lady Colin Campbell was 'hours from death' last weekend

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Colin Campbell was just “hours from death” last week.
The 67-year-old socialite was rushed to hospital when her organs started to shut down after she contracted sepsis – a potentially life-threatening condition triggered by an infection or injury – from, what she believes was, an infected scallop.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (17.10.16), she said: “I was very disoriented and confused and thought it was the wrong day. On top of that, my bladder had completely shut down. I phoned my brother-in-law in America, who is a doctor he told me I had to go to hospital immediately – I had the classic symptoms of sepsis.
“I realised that something traumatic and terrible was going on because your body is literally shutting down. If you’re stressed your body immune system is also at risk and I’m under a lot of stress. The funny thing is that I was already more aware of sepsis than most people because my close friend had just died from it.
“My doctors are still not sure but they believe I had an infected scallop and got food poisoning, and then got into my organs and everything started to shut down.”
Although she was battling to fight the condition, which is also known as blood poisoning, Lady C was more worried about her sons Dima and Misha.
She explained: “‘My sons knew how ill I was, they took me to hospital. My major concern was that I would leave my affairs in such a mess that they would be penniless.”
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ star has now made a recovery but has spent the past week trying to sleep as much as possible to heal her body.
She said: “I’ve spent the last week sleeping around the clock so I now have energy.”
Sepsis can reduce the blood supply to vital organs such as the brain, heart and kidneys and, without quick treatment, can lead to multiple organ failure and death.
The condition can be treated at home with antibiotics if it’s caught early enough but it usually requires hospital admission.

Ola Jordan claims husband James on last '5 minutes' in bed

OHMYGOSSIP — Ola Jordan has claimed her husband James only lasts “five minutes” in the bedroom.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional – who has always been very open about her sexual encounters with her snake-hipping spouse – has revealed her frisky sessions with the 38-year-old ballroom dancer are usually over in the blink of an eye but, despite the hurried pace, she thoroughly enjoys their bonding time between the sheets.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: “James is very good and very quick. A bit like a salsa. It only takes five minutes. It is quick.
“It’s always short but sweet. And he’s as fiery as you’d expect. It’s a natural thing to do when you have five minutes here and there.”
The couple – who have been married since 2003 – hit the headlines last month when they admitted they had sex in their dressing room of the ballroom and latin show while former host Bruce Forsyth, who quit as presenter in 2013 due to poor health, was in the room next door.
The 34-year-old beauty explained: “We’ve been married for a long time and we used to have a dressing room together. I haven’t spoken to Brucie about it, but we did it behind a closed door. It’s not like we did it in front of everyone. We hadn’t seen each other for ages and we’d really missed each other, so it was completely natural that we’d want to do that.”
The pair are now hoping to have children in the near future but, for now, are focusing on their dancing.
She said: “We’d like to have children one day but not just yet. For now, we are just practising a lot.”

Vin Diesel's multi-lingual Guardians role

OHMYGOSSIP — Vin Diesel had to say all of his ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ lines in 16 different languages.
The 49-year-old actor will reprise his role as the voice of Groot in the forthcoming film, and while he is pleased his vocal talents will be heard on the motion picture in numerous countries, he admitted the follow up movie has been more “challenging” as a result.
He said: “I know that, on the first one, I, like, recorded six different languages, and now James Gunn wants to increase the number of languages we do this in.
“So, every ADR-ed line, every moment in the movie I have to do like 15, 16 times in different languages — which are cool because, you know, it means that my voice is being heard in countries where that’s not always the case, even with big movies that you do, like ‘xXx’ or ‘Fast [& Furious’].
“It’s usually voice actors in respective markets that say your lines and that’s not necessarily what the character is always.
“So, I love that, but it definitely makes it that much more challenging.”
At the end of the first ‘Guardians’ movie, which was released in 2014, Diesel’s character Groot sacrificed himself and became Baby Groot, and the actor admitted it is quite different voicing a younger character.
He added to Collider: “Yeah, there is a difference. He couldn’t be more naive as Baby Groot. I always think of the Groot that we saw on the first Guardians as a college-level Groot, so he’s not fully grown yet, but he’s a man.
“And once he sacrifices himself at the end of the movie, now he has to start all over, so to speak, but we’re gonna see this goofy, adorable, baby Groot thing running around the screen and just learning as he goes.”

Thor: Ragnarok director 'ignored' first two films

OHMYGOSSIP — Thor: Ragnarok’s director has “ignored” the other films in the franchise while making the upcoming movie.
Taika Waititi has admitted he wanted to make an “awesome” standalone film so hasn’t paid much attention to 2011’s ‘Thor’ or 2013’s ‘Thor: The Dark World’, and admitted he has “no idea” whether his motion picture with blend with the first two.
In a Reddit AMA, he wrote: “I made an effort to ignore the fact there are other Thor films.
“I honestly know NOTHING outside of what I’m doing. I’m trying to ignore the rest of the universe and just make my own awesome movie.
“It will be a nice addition to the Taika Waititi box-set though. (sic)”
Waititi has thoroughly enjoyed working with the likes of Sir Anthony Hopkins – who portrays Thor’s dad Odin – Jeff Goldblum (Grandmaster) and Cate Blanchett (Hela) in the movie because they make him laugh.
When asked what it was like to team up with a host of stars in the film, he replied: “AMAZING. They are gold. Funny. Beautiful people (sic)”
He also hinted there could be a scene with Hopkins shirtless, and said fans can expect to see an 80s-style vibe in the hotly-anticipated motion picture.
Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as the titular character in the film, which will see The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) try to help his Avengers teammate with a huge threat looming over Asgard.
Waititi previously admitted he will bring a “new style of humour” in the third ‘Thor’ movie.
He said: “My strength in this is bringing my style of humour, which is probably a very different style of humour. They’ve had good jokes in them before, but I think where I come from is maybe a fresher style. It could just shake the entire thing up a bit.”
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is scheduled to hit cinemas in November 2017.

Freddy Parker's X Factor voice hell

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddy Parker walked around with a steamer attached to his face ahead of his performance on ‘The X Factor’ over the weekend.
The 18-year-old singer – who was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger – was given the boot from the competition on Sunday (16.10.16) but he has admitted he expected to be eliminated because he’s been battling with a nasty cold all week and was desperately trying to clear his airways with a hot air inhaler before the show.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Monday (17.10.16), he explained: “It was so funny, I went around with my steamer, my honey and lemon and ginger in hot water, I must’ve drunk 10 gallons of honey and lemon and water.”
As well as the well-known remedies, the teenager was also put on voice rest and is convinced that shattered his chances.
He explained: “I was on voice rest, out of all the contestants, I was on voice rest the most and I did feel like it kind of had a negative impact on my experience because I just couldn’t speak to anyone. I’m such talkative person so having to hold my voice … I was so upset.”
Despite being devastated about getting the axe, Freddy is “excited” for his next adventure and will continue to support his “unique” fellow competitors week-in week-out.
Taking to his Twitter account shortly after his exit, Freddy thanked his fans for supporting him and for pushing him in the competition.
He said: “Thank you so much @TheXFactor I’ve had the time of my life. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, my heart goes out to all of you (sic)”

Alan Carr gets new celeb show

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr will front a new celebrity-driven show on Channel 4.
The 40-year-old comedian’s long-running programme ‘Chatty Man’ may be on the way out but that doesn’t mean he’ll be leaving screens any time soon as it’s believed he’s been handed a new series called ‘Alan Meets’, which will see superstars let him in on their life.
A source said: “Alan is really excited about getting his new project off the ground.
The insider explained to The Sun newspaper: “He went out to Vegas recently where Calvin does his nightclub residency and did some filming with him.
“It was only a test run and the format is in its early stages of development, so it’s yet to be decided whether the Calvin stuff will make the screen, but it was a good start.”
And it seems the new show has given Alan – who is known for his high-pitched voice – a new lease of life as he’s determined to adopt a “manlier” tone on television screens from now on.
He added to the Daily Star newspaper: “I want to be manlier. I don’t want to mince and I don’t want to talk like this. I want to talk like [the actor] Morgan Freeman.”

Ross Kemp: Extreme World to return for another series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Ross Kemp: Extreme World’ will return for another series.
The 52-year-old investigative journalist’s gripping documentaries have been gracing screens for the past five years as he and his camera team explore various forms of hardship; including homelessness, illicit trade, drug addiction, violence and poverty around the world, and now Sky have given the go-ahead for another installment.
Celia Taylor, Head of Non-Scripted Commissioning said: “‘Extreme World’ has been a huge success for us, giving our audiences an insight into the dramatic human stories behind the headlines at home and overseas. We are delighted that Ross is returning to the channel as we know our viewers value and enjoy his brave and gripping reporting.”
The next series will hit screens next year and will see Ross travel around Libya, the USA and the UK as he tackles the touchy subject of migrant smuggling across borders, the deadly consequences of the war and the rise of violent extremism.
Tom Sheahan, Executive Producer of Freshwater Films, which produce the ‘Extreme World’ documentaries, said: “We’re thrilled to have the greenlight for series six of ‘Extreme World’. Tackling these important and gritty subjects can be challenging but we have an incredibly talented team who are committed to getting the access and telling the stories that Ross has become known for.”
It looks like next year could be a busy one for Ross as he recently admitted he’d love to make another return to ‘EastEnders’ following his numerous cameos earlier this year.
He said recently: “Yeah of course I would [like to do more scenes for the soap], yeah, why not. If I got the opportunity to make documentaries and to act, why not do both?”
Ross has appeared in the long-running soap on and off as hard man Grant Mitchell since 1990 but has admitted returning to his old stomping ground earlier this year was a little surreal because he’d just finished shooting ‘Extreme World’ in Mongolia.
He explained: “I loved going back [to ‘EastEnders’]. They say a change is as good as a break and one moment I was in Mongolia going down a coal mine meeting Nazis and then three days later I was in the dressing room at Elstree [where the soap is filmed].”

Cold Feet to make return next year

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Cold Feet’ has been recommissioned for a new series.
The well-loved comedy made a triumphant return to screens in September following a 13-year hiatus and received such a rapturous reception by critics and fans alike that ITV has decided to bring it back next year for another installment.
The channel’s Director of Television, Kevin Lygo said: “It’s with some trepidation that you return to much loved shows, but [writer] Mike Bullen’s contemporary take on the five friends and their lives has been a wonderful thing, with every bit of the warmth, humour, emotion and chemistry that makes ‘Cold Feet’ such a special, and hugely enjoyable drama. We were obviously delighted that the audience agreed, and we’re pleased to be able to confirm that ‘Cold Feet’ will return again for a further series.”
The current series, which concludes on Monday (17.10.16), stars James Nesbitt, Hermione Norris, Robert Bathurst, John Thomson and Fay Ripley as Adam Williams, Karen Marsden, David Marsden and Pete and Jenny Gifford, respectively.
The eight-part series, which opened with 8.4 million last month, sees the “fifty- something-year-old” friends as they encounter the minefield of middle age.
Writer Mike Bullen said: “We all said we only wanted to bring ‘Cold Feet’ back if we could maintain the standard previously set. I’ve been blown away by the show’s reception among viewers and critics alike. It has exceeded even my hopes. This recommission confirms that we didn’t screw it up. I shall take a moment to bask in the warm glow… Okay, done that. Now the hard graft resumes.”
Filming for the next series will kick off in Manchester in March 2017.
The news that the comedy has been recommissioned will no doubt go down well with the cast as John recently admitted there would be “uproar” if it didn’t make a return.
He said: “I think there would be uproar if there wasn’t (another series) …
“Obviously on the ratings and the viewing figure, it’s in a strong position but I haven’t had the emperor’s thumbs up yet.”
‘Cold Feet’ first hit television screens in 1997 and came to an end in 2003.

Nick Knowles dated Gemma Oaten for 'a week during turbulent time'

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Knowles dated Gemma Oaten for “less than a week” during a “turbulent, traumatic” time in his life.
The ‘DIY SOS’ host has been forced to defend himself after he came under fire when he reportedly dumped the former ‘Emmerdale’ star while they were in bed together and then got back together with his wife Jessica Moor, with whom he has two-year-old son Eddie, shortly afterwards.
Taking to his Twitter account on Sunday (16.10.16) after Gemma lashed out at him in a newspaper interview, he said: “Life is not about what happens to you, it’s about how you deal with it. This year we faced a miscarriage, the break down of our marriage and cancer without being disrespectful about each other at any point. We are saddened for each other and for the sake of our young son that this is being played out so publicly.
“The story in today’s paper is something that happened (in the space of less than one week) during a turbulent, traumatic time and more to the point – whilst we were separated. It is unfortunate we are having to relive it purely so someone can financially gain from exploiting our private life.
“With everything that’s happened this year, even discussing this seems very trivial in comparison to what we have dealt with and are still dealing with. As always, our answer is united, as we are. We have enjoyed eight years as best friends and nothing will change that. (sic)”
Gemma, 32, immediately hit back: “I was forced to speak out, didn’t want to, but I’m glad I’ve set the record straight. The small fee from today has been donated to charity.”
The brunette beauty felt she had no choice but to reveal what had gone on between her and Nick last month as she was constantly being “painted in a bad light” and wanted to teach the presenter a lesson.
She explained: “One Sunday morning we were lying in bed and all these texts came through about us being photographed together. In an instant he completely changed. It was all about him and how it was going to affect his family. It was really cruel as he said it didn’t matter for me.”
Shortly after he called things off with Gemma, Nick rubbed salt in the wound when he uploaded photographs of him enjoying a romantic break away with Jessica in Lake Garda, Italy.
Nick announced he and Jessica had split in January following four years of marriage.
However, he admitted he and his beautiful wife had grown close again earlier this month after they leant on one another when she found out she had cervical cancer.
As well as son Eddie with Jessica, the 54-year-old presenter also has three children Tuesday, Tyrian and Charlie from a previous relationship.

Coen brothers to write Darknet movie

OHMYGOSSIP — The Coen brothers are to write a movie based on the Darknet.
Joel and Ethan Coen are to team up for Fox thriller film ‘Dark Web’, which was previously titled ‘Silk Road’ and will tell the true story of Ross William Ulbricht, who worked under the pseudonym Dread Pirate Roberts and is infamous for building an illegal online drug marketplace called The Silk Road.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the siblings’ screenplay will be based on a 2015 Wired magazine article by Joshuah Bearman about the rise and fall of Ulbricht.
The 32-year-old former Darknet market operator was convicted of money laundering, computer hacking, conspiracy to traffic fraudulent identity documents, and conspiracy to traffic narcotics in February 2015.
Ulbricht is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
He was arrested in October 2013 and the FBI accused him of being the “mastermind” behind the Silk Road.
To prevent him deleting files or important data prior to his arrest, the two agents pretended to be lovers having an argument until he was distracted and one of them put a USB stick into his laptop and cloned his hard drive.
The Darknet is a hidden part of the internet which can only be accessed with specific software.
Its uses include computer hacking and file corruption, as well as the sale of restricted goods on special Darknet markets.
The Coen brothers recently wrote ‘Hail, Caesar!’, ‘Unbroken’ and the forthcoming George Clooney-directed movie ‘Suburbicon’.

Michael Bay, who is directing the forthcoming film, confirmed a host of names in the cast for the upcoming movie, including Goodman, who voiced Autobot Hound in ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’.
He also revealed John Turturro, who played Agent Seymour Simmons in ‘Transformers’, ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ and ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’, will appear in the fifth movie in the film franchise.
Speaking on a Facebook Live from the film’s set in England, he said: “I’m very excited about this movie, it’s been a fantastic time.
“Cast from [Sir] Anthony Hopkins, Mark Wahlberg, Laura Haddock, Isabela Moner, Mr. Stanley Tucci, we have John Turturro and John Goodman.

He said: “My wife is not into cooking so we have someone who cooks for us. They had Chinese yesterday, teriyaki chicken and steak.
“I just sat there smelling [their food] for 45 minutes.”

Lewis Bloor and Marnie Simpson have split up

OHMYGOSSIP — Lewis Bloor has hinted he has split from Marnie Simpson.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star, who embarked on a relationship with the ‘Geordie Shore’ star whilst on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ earlier this year, has hinted the couple have ended their short-lived romance via social media.
Lewis took to Twitter to tease the news, he wrote: “One door closes another one opens thats how life works (sic).”
This news comes shortly after the brunette beauty posted a similar cryptic message about her love life.
She wrote: “Over before it begun.”
However, Marnie has since deleted the message, and has erased all photographs of her and the 26-year-old reality television star from her social media too.
Meanwhile, Lewis has admitted their relationship has become harder since they left the Big Brother house.
Speaking previously, he said: “[The last time I upset someone was] when Marnie and I had just come out of the house and were still getting used to it.
“It’s been hard. On the outside, we’ve only been in a relationship for six weeks, and we’ve had to start from scratch.”
And Lewis had even claimed he would marry the 24 year old in a heartbeat because he thought the pair were perfectly suited to one another.
He previously said: “If I was to marry Marnie, I would be a very lucky man … if I’d been asked that question [about marriage] in the house I would have said yes.”
However, Lewis has revealed his relationship’s don’t last much longer than one year.
He said: “The longest relationship I’ve had is 18 months! I don’t want to jinx anything but she is a very special girl to me. I’m very excited for the future.”
