Colin Farrell: I felt 'completely ridiculous' using a wand

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Farrell felt “completely ridiculous” practicing with his wand for ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.
The Hollywood actor stars as Percival Graves, who is in charge of the protection of wizards, in the motion picture and admitted it took him some time before he got used to handling the sticks.
He told Sci-Fi Now magazine: “It’s great to do research, but it’s hard to do research on wizards.
“You can only twirl your wand in your hotel room for three or four minutes before you feel completely ridiculous.”
Colin stars alongside Eddie Redmayne – who plays eccentric wizard Newt Scamander – in the fantasy film and admitted he got “complete stage fright” while using the hand-held rod because he didn’t know how to handle the equipment.
He said: “It’s a weird thing. When you get to pick up a wand, it’s like your inner nine-year-old is having the best moment of his life. You’re like, ‘Oh my god, I get to use one of these. I’ve always wanted to use one of these.’
“Then you pick the thing up and you’re like, ‘Why does this feel so weird? What do I do with it?’ I actually got complete stage fright. It took quite a while for us to get used to it.”
Meanwhile, Colin previously admitted he never read the ‘Harry Potter’ books before starring in the movie.
He shared: “There are a few films where in they’re on the television, I just can’t turn them off, they’re just so comforting; and any ‘Harry Potter ‘series qualifies as one of those films.
“It’s just such a beautiful and immersive world, that pays due respect to human emotions. I would be a liar if I said being in a trailer where that score kicks in didn’t get me excited. I’m 40 and I shouldn’t say such things.”

The former ‘Countdown’ mastermind is rumoured to be entering the Australian jungle when the creepy-crawly show returns for another series next month and, although she won’t confirm the current speculation, she has admitted bosses reach out to her at the start of every installment.
She said: “I’m asked every year and I can neither confirm nor deny whether I’m going into the jungle. What I will say is that I like the show. I think it’s the funniest thing on TV.”
And the 55-year-old television presenter shouldn’t have any problems when it comes to getting stuck in to the trials as eating animals’ genitals is “right at the top” of her list.
She told OK! magazine with a laugh when asked if the challenges appeal to her: “Oh yes, eating all those disgusting things is right at the top of my list.”
Bosses are reportedly keen to get Carol on board as they think she’ll draw in male viewers with her “sex appeal”.

‘Red Dwarf’ actor Craig Charles is also rumoured to be returning to the programme.
He previously spent four days in the jungle two years ago but his stint was cut short after his brother Dean tragically died from a heart attack.
And the former ‘Coronation Street’ star may not be the only previous contestant to make a return to the outback as Spencer Matthews is also in the rumoured line up.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ hunk joined the show last year but was forced to leave just a few days into his stint after producers found out he was taking steroids.

Sinitta claims Honey G is 'faking it' on X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Sinitta knows Honey G is “faking it” on ‘The X Factor’.
The 53-year-old singer, the ex-girlfriend and close friend of the TV talent show’s boss Simon Cowell, has enjoyed watching the rapper’s journey on the programme so far but after speaking with Honey G’s middle class mother she can tell her act is just a persona.
Speaking at the Unsigned Music Awards to The Huffington Post, Sinitta said: “Her mother has a middle class, English accent, she’s very pretty. She’s not at all ghetto, she doesn’t say ‘yo’ and ‘what’s up’ and everything. So I don’t know how Honey G has developed all these traits. I think she’s faking it, but I think she believes. I think she has reinvented herself as a black American ghetto rapper.”
Honey G – real name Anna Guildford – has faced some accusations of racism for her appropriation of African American hip hop culture.
However, Sinitta doesn’t accept that her rapping is racist and has likened her to Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedy creation Ali G.
She said: “That’s like saying Ali G is racist … Maybe Honey G is the musical version of him.”
Over the years Sinitta has helped Simon decide which acts to take through to the live shows during the Judges’ Houses stages of the competition but she was noticeably absent from the 2016 series, being replaced by Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Mel B.
Joking about her ‘X Factor’ absence, the ‘So Macho’ hitmaker said: “There’s definitely something missing on ‘The X Factor’ this year. And I think it’s me.”

The rapper is getting ready to spit some verses on ‘The X Factor’ Fright Night on Saturday evening (29.10.16) and now she’s got a taste of the pop world she wants to keep making music regardless of how far she goes in the competition.
Her dream would be for Simon Cowell to sign her to his label.

I’ve obviously looking to now pursue a full-time career as a rap music artist. Hopefully get a record deal, hopefully with Syco which is what I really want and be a multi-platinum recording artist and sell records globally and do global tours. So I’d like to put my day job and stuff like that behind me now.”
Honey G – whose real name is Anna Guildford – has been bowled over by the support she has received from the British public and wants to keep entertaining viewers every week.
The ‘North Weezy’ lyrical master thinks her achievement to get to the week four of the live shows is all the more special because she was a Wild Card act.

It’s been completely life changing for me … I’m loving every moment of it, and I don’t want it to end. I’m having the most incredible time of my life.
“I had no idea that I’d get to this point. And obviously I came back into the competition as a Wild Card and, I don’t know whether you know, but I was given 48 hours’ notice that I would be going to Judges Houses in LA, and to make it through to the live shows and get this far, it’s just incredible. I’ve seen what I’m capable of, and I feel like I’ve been born as a rap star … and want to go all the way to the final.”
And Honey G – who is being mentored by Sharon Osbourne on the ITV show – is stunned she can count ‘In Da Club’ hitmaker 50 Cent as a fan.
She said: “It’s incredible, I’m so excited about this. 50 Cent has evidently endorsed me! He’s come forward and basically backed me … and said that I’m good for the hip hop music and I’m good for the hip hop game. Basically he’s endorsed me and I’m just like so chuffed … Legend. It’s 50 Cent! It’s over now, the show’s over now, do you know what I mean? 50 Cent is backing me.”

Meanwhile Bana, who starred in Ricky Gervais spy action comedy ‘Special Correspondents’, has admitted he had to ban his co-star and director from playing guitar and even “singing” whilst shooting scenes for the film.
Speaking previously about the filming conditions on set of the Netflix comedy satire – in which they play two kidnapped journalists in Iraq – he shared: “I banned music on set, I told him on day one – you can do as you want as a director but no guitars. No guitars on set. We didn’t share a trailer, but our trailer was so small, with a shared wall I also banned him from singing in the trailer as well, cos you know you could hear each other breathe. It was way too cosy.”

Mel Gibson: Fury Road is spectacular

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel Gibson is a fan of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and thinks the action film was “visually spectacular”.
The 60-year-old actor was catapulted to worldwide fame when he was cast by director George Miller as vigilante Max Rockatansky in 1979’s ‘Mad Max’ movie and he went on to reprise the role in two sequels, working with George on all three films.
George returned to the character 36 years after the original for 2015’s fourth film which saw Tom Hardy replace Mel as the titular anti-hero and although the franchise moved on without him the ‘Lethal Weapon’ star is a big admirer of what the pair did with the movie.
Speaking about ‘Fury Road’, Mel said: “It’s visually spectacular, that edit was so good. It’s crazy, but that’s George, you know, he’s a scientist, he’s the Einstein of edit and being able to get the pieces necessary to make a truly compelling action, in your face action sequence. He was always like that.”
In his later career, Mel himself moved behind the camera to make critically acclaimed films such as ‘Braveheart’, ‘The Passion of the Christ’ and ‘Apocalypto’ and he remembered the lessons he had learned from George to bring his own visions to the big screen
In an interview with Collider.com, he explained: “I remember doing stuff with him and I didn’t even understand what he was doing, he said just get the camera at a low angle and just whip it around over your shoulder and just look down on top of the mountain box, so there’s this camera on the ground and I’m like, ‘Whoa.’ ”
Mel’s next directorial project is biographical World War II film ‘Hacksaw Ridge’, which comes out in November, and he has more movies ready to go, all of which he wrote when he was ostracised from Hollywood after he was arrested for drink driving in July 2006, an incident which saw him make anti-Semitic remarks to the arresting officer in his drunken stupor.
He said: “There were four things I wrote in the 10-year hiatus which I think I would really like to do but no-one has coughed up the funding yet.”
‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ was released in May 2015 and has since made over $378 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film in the ‘Mad Max’ franchise.
As well as Hardy the movie also starred Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa and Nicholas Hoult as Nux.

The 31-year-old PE teacher, who was crowned the champion on the shows series finale on Wednesday (26.10.16), admitted throughout the competition she had used her grandparent’s recipes to help her gain the title of Star Baker, and although she is pleased with the outcome, she wished her relative was still alive to be filled with pride too.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the red-haired beauty said: “I love my family, everything I do revolves around my family. My nan, I just hope she would have been proud.
“For me it is unbelievable. Even now I am wide eyed, shaking my head in disbelief. It’s just amazing for me, but also for my friends and family, who are so good.”
And the star’s parents have revealed Candice shared a close bond with Margaret when she was a child, and “always” used to wear her clothes to look like her.
Candice’s father Paul said: “[Candice] wanted to be in on the action.”
And her mother Susan added: “You always used to like to wear Nan’s glasses. Come to that, you wanted to wear her shoes, too.”

Simon Cowell's son Eric ignores Nicole Scherzinger

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell’s son ignores Nicole Scherzinger.
The ‘X Factor’ judge loves it when the big boss brings his little two-year-old Eric, whom he has with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, into the studio on the day of the live shows but she can already see that the toddler has picked up his father’s tendencies.
Speaking on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ on Saturday (29.10.16), she said: “I think he just cloned himself. He is just like Simon, he never listens to me. I’ll say, ‘Eric give me a hug’ and he walks away. I’ll say ‘Do you want a cookie? Can I have a bite of your orange?’ and he just ignores me. He goes to his dad all the time, he loves his dad.”
However, although she can see the similarities between Simon and his little one, the Pussycat Dolls singer really enjoys sharing the panel with the cheeky music mogul.
She explained: “You never know what you’re going to get. It’s like a box of chocolates! All the time he’s winding us all up, when we’re speaking he’s saying stuff in our ears like crazy things and we’re like, ‘Please we’re trying to focus it is live!’ He’ll just say silly things like he’ll try to throw us off, he’s just having fun, it’s good, he’s in a good mood.”
The 38-year-old singer is known for locking horns with her fellow judges Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Simon if they knock her contestants but she has admitted she doesn’t mean it in a malicious way and is just defending her boys.
Nicole – who is mentoring The Boys category this year – said: “I come out guns a blazing as well, you feel like you want to protect them because you know how hard they’ve worked, you see where they’ve come from and you have no idea, you don’t realise the work that you put in with the contestants and they work really hard.”
‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ will air on October 29 at 9:50pm on ITV.

Daisy Ridley slams critics

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley thinks response to her ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ character is sexist.
The 24-year-old actress doesn’t understand why her character in the science fiction franchise was dubbed a ‘Mary Sue’, a term originated from fan fiction and used to describe a female character who is so perfect that it is unrealistic and sometimes irritating.
Speaking on MTV’s ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, she shared: “The Mary Sue thing in itself is sexist because it’s the name of a woman. Everyone was saying that Luke had the exact same [capabilities].
“I think Rey is incredible vulnerable, and nothing she’s doing is for the greater good. She’s just doing what she thinks is the right thing. And she doesn’t want to do some of it, but she feels compelled to do it. So for me, I was just confused.”
Daisy is set to return to the screens as the heroic Rey in the upcoming ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’, which is due for release in December 2017 and she recently hinted that fans should expect to explore more about Rey’s parentage.
When asked if Jyn (Felicity Jones) could be Rey’s mother, she told Vulture: “I mean, I think historically it wouldn’t work, because she is … Darth Vader is there … so she would ultimately be my great-grandma; no, she would be my grandma. I mean it could happen, especially in a galaxy far, far away.”
The actress was also quizzed as to whether she supports the fan theory that her character is related to Obi-Wan Kenobi.
She replied: “We will see in a year. Just sit tight on that question.”

Laura Carmichael: I'm not brave

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Carmichael isn’t as brave as her ‘Burn, Burn, Burn’ character.
The 30-year-old actress plays the role of Steph in the movie and whilst she can relate to the “closeness and brutal honesty in a friendship” between her character and Alex (Chloe Pirrie), she wishes she had a more “do now and think later” attitude herself.
She said: “She’s more impulsive and braver than I am – I love that ‘do now and think later’ side to her. She’s loyal too. There’s a new closeness with female friendships now; your friends are the family you’ve created for yourself. The closeness and brutal honesty in a friendship is something that I can relate to.”
The comedy drama movie follows Steph and Alex as they take a road trip to spread their friend Dan’s ashes.
Speaking about the film, Laura added to the Metro newspaper: “I loved that it focused on friendship with Jack’s character Dan, even though he’s dead in the film, and the relationship between two best mates on the road. It’s not often you read that. I met with the director, Chanya Button and Charlie Covell, the writer, who is her best friend. We got on and made each other laugh. We were a little gang hanging out in Little Chefs.”
Meanwhile, director Chanya is thrilled the movie has two female protagonists and says it is definitely a “female-led project” in all aspects.
She shared: “This is a female-led project, both creatively and in the cast. But in the first few minutes you should just forget that.
“The idea is that you’re not going, ‘Oh the film was led by women and they’re actually really funny’. You should forget.”
