Tom Hardy to star in Fonzo

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hardy to star as Al Capone in ‘Fonzo’.
The 39-year-old actor is set to take on the role of one of the world’s biggest mobsters as he steps into the shoes of American gangster Al Capone.
Capone gained fame as the leader of the Chicago Outfit who distributed illegal alcohol during America’s Prohibition era in the 1920s. The struggle over the control of organized crime between the Chicago Outfit and the North Side Irish gang resulted in the infamous Saint Valentine’s Day massacre, in which seven men from the North Side Irish gang were murdered in broad daylight.
Rather than focusing on the gang war itself, ‘Fonzo’ will centre on Capone at the age of 47, following nearly a decade of imprisonment for his crimes, as dementia starts to take over his mind and his violent past comes back to haunt him.
Josh Trank – who directed 2015’s ‘Fantastic Four’ – will be taking up directorial duties for the project, as well as penning the script.
The film will be produced by Russell Ackerman and Josh Schoenfelder for Addictive Pictures, alongside Lawrence Bender.
Bloom Media is handling the international sales for the project, and will introduce it to buyers at the American Film Market (AFM) next week.
Alex Walton, President of Bloom Media, said: “‘Fonzo’ brings together the myth and lore of notorious American Gangster Al Capone, with the undeniable talent of Tom Hardy and Josh Trank. We are thrilled to bring this film to buyers at the AFM.”
The news of Tom Hardy’s casting comes after he recently wowed audiences by playing both of the English gangsters the Kray twins in 2015’s ‘Legend’.

Davina McCall won't compete on The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall would never compete on ‘The Jump’.
The 49-year-old presenter is set to host a fourth series of the celebrity winter sports contest – which has seen a number of famous contestants suffer serious injuries – next year but admitted that during filming she’s not allowed to try any of the challenges.
Asked if she’d try the show, she said: “No way! They won’t let me ski – they won’t let me do anything. The only activity I’m allowed to do when I’m filming is snowshoeing, where you put tennis rackets on your feet and just walk.”
If she could ever find the time, the ‘This Time Next Year’ host – who has children Holly, 15, Tilly, 13, and Chester, 10, with husband Matthew Robertson – would love to take part on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
She told Closer magazine: “I’d quite like to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but it’s too time-consuming.
“And I wouldn’t do ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ – it’s too hard. It’s a tough environment and I feel for them.”
Davina’s new show, ‘This Time Next Year’ – which sees people make a pledge they have to see through in a year – was filmed over 12 months and she needed to go on a crash diet before filming the ‘after’ coverage.
She said: “The summer of 2016 was a summer of excess and before we filmed the second part I was five pounds heavier.
“I was having soup for dinner for five years to try to lose a couple of pounds before I got the same dress on.”
And after keeping her look the same during filming, Davina is ready for a radical transformation.
She said: “The day we finish filming I am going to get a radical haircut – maybe a short and shaggy bob.
“It’s been the same length for around seven years and I’m desperate for a change. My granny will be pleased – she doesn’t think anybody over 30 should have long hair.”

Felicity Jones: 'For actresses, the word 'mother' can strike fear'

OHMYGOSSIP — Felicity Jones thinks actresses are scared of playing the role as a mother in films.
The 33-year-old actress, who plays the maternal role in ‘A Monster Calls’ alongside Sigourney Weaver and Liam Neeson, has admitted she believes the word ‘mother’ “strikes fear” in female stars because of the “stereotype” surrounding the role.
Speaking about the role to Total Film magazine, the brunette beauty – who play’s Lewis MacDougall’s on-screen mother in the upcoming movie who is battling with a terminal illness – said: “I play Lizzie, who’s a very young mother.
“She’s had her son when she was probably a little too young, and she doesn’t quite know herself. So she’s grappling with her own identity, trying to bring up her son in some quite difficult circumstances.
“It’s interesting because sometimes for actresses, the word ‘mother’ can strike fear. I think sometimes cinema can suffer from a kind of stereotype of ‘the mother’. And what I’ve loved about Bayona’s films, particularly with ‘The Orphanage’, is he never patronises the idea of ‘the mother’. He conveys ‘the mother’ as these complex women – being a mother is a part of who they are, it’s not the entirety of who they are.”
And the ‘The Theory of Everything’ star – who made her acting debut at 11 years old – has admitted
there’s too much “pressure” on young actors to “rush” their career.
She explained: “When you’re a young actor, there’s this pressure to rush.
“There’s so much of a desire in the entertainment industry for newness, a desire to build somebody up and then treat them as old news within six months.”
However, Jones has revealed she strives for longevity in her career and hopes she will still be cast in movies when she is 70.
Speaking about the film industry, she said: “But I hope to be doing this in my sixties and seventies, so I’d prefer to take my time.”

Land owner Craig Parker refuses to sign contract for I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Australian land owner Craig Parker is refusing to sign a new contract for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
Bosses of the ITV reality show have been using the land owned by Craig in Australia’s Dungay Creek, Queensland, to film their show since 2003, but now it seems the land owner has had enough as he won’t sign a new contract when his current one runs out in February.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The relationship between Craig and the bosses has badly broken down. He’s always found hosting the show on his land frustrating, but in the past has considered it worth the money they throw at him.
“But this year’s different. There have been lots of small squabbles in which he feels his opinions have been totally ignored.
“He is sick and tired of having the cast and crew there. He can pretty much name his price. But so far he is adamant he will not be changing his mind.”
Show bosses are now trying to find somewhere else to ship their celebrity contestants, but it’s proving more difficult than expected to get somewhere within their price range.
The source added: “A senior member of staff recently checked out a possible camp in Sydney, but it was far too expensive.
“A cheaper country like South Africa wouldn’t work because of the time difference. Craig has them over a barrel.”
ITV have yet to comment on the possible relocation of the show, instead insisting they have a “good relationship” with Craig.
They said in a statement: “We have a good relationship with the owner of the site and we’re currently on our 15th series in that location.”
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ starts in early November on ITV.

Amy Adams' connection with her Arrival character

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Adams had a “deep connection” to her ‘Arrival’ character as soon as she read the script.
The 42-year-old actress plays linguistics professor Dr. Louise Banks, who is recruited to communicate with the inhabitants of 12 giant alien spacecrafts, in the sci-fi saga and was instantly drawn to the “heart and soul” of the story.
She said: “It was really one of the best scripts I ever read, and it had such an amazing heart and soul to it, and on top of that it had these sci-fi elements which were also interesting and intriguing.
“It definitely falls in the category of sci-fi, but all the greatest sci-fi films that I have enjoyed offer a lot of complex ideas. It’s not solved with simplicity and it begs a lot of conversation from the audience and a lot of thinking.
“But at the end of the day, it left me with such a deep connection to Louise that it was hard for me to imagine letting it go and not sort of getting to see it through.”
While the movie has so far received largely positive reviews, Amy is looking forward to seeing the response from cinemagoers when the film finally hits screens next month.
She told SciFiNow magazine: “I was curious about that, ‘What will the mainstream audience feel?’ I brought my brother, nephew and niece to see it and they are very, very honest. My nephew is 11 and my niece is 16 and they loved it.
“I feel like if people can come into it open, this can reach a broad audience. I am really thrilled and proud of this film and it does hold a special place in my heart. So I am hoping that audiences come to it open and willing to see it.”

David Leitch in talks to direct Deadpool 2

OHMYGOSSIP — David Leitch is in talks to direct ‘Deadpool 2’.
The ‘John Wick’ filmmaker is reportedly in talks to take up directorial duties for the popular sci-fi sequel after the shocking exit of former director Tim Miller, who dropped out of the project after suffering creative differences with lead star and producer Ryan Reynolds.
Leitch’s name reportedly first started circulating on Monday (24.10.16), but producers were keen to meet with other candidates before anything was made public knowledge. Drew Goddard and Mangus Martens were among the other names to be seen by the studio.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources say Leitch remained at the top of the studio’s list of candidates, and was spotted enjoying a lunch with 40-year-old Reynolds on Thursday (27.10.16).
However, nothing has been confirmed as of yet and other sources have reported to the publication that it is still too early to make a decision as other meetings have yet to take place. Sources claim that no offer for the role has been made, and negotiations are on going.
‘Deadpool 2’ has yet to be handed an official title or release date, but is being scripted by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned the first movie.
Despite not having a director on board for the production, producer Simon Kinberg recently gave Marvel fans an insight into what they can expect from the new film, irrespective of who directs it.
He said of the sequel: “I think ‘Deadpool 2’ will comment on anything that’s happening in movies today especially in superhero movies. The sort of glut or saturation of these movies and the proliferation of sequels is definitely something we’ll play around with.”

Amy Childs may not be able to breastfeed

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Childs may not be able to breastfeed her baby.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star went under the knife when she was 18 years old to have her AA-cup bosoms boosted to a 30EE and then again four years later to give them a lift, but she has admitted she deeply regrets the surgery now because it may prevent her from nursing her little one when its welcomed into the world next March.
She said: “I’d love to breastfeed but I may not be able to. I wish I’d had none of it done.”
The 26-year-old beauty – who has had lip injections, Botox and veneers placed on her teeth – is three months pregnant with her first child but she’s already decided that she’ll have eight sessions of non-invasive liposuction after she’s given birth to the baby.
She said: “I don’t think I’ll want to be having surgery when I have children. I don’t want any more surgery. I went under the knife when I was 18 and that was too young. I wish I’d had none of it because I get backache, my boobs and my nipples are so sore.
“There are so many more alternatives out there. After the baby, I’ll have eight session of the fat-freezing non-invasive 3D lipo on my inner thighs and bum. People need to be so careful going under the knife.”
And, although she’s still got six months to go until she’s due to meet her little one, Amy and her boyfriend Bradley Wright are already thinking ahead to the future.
She told OK! magazine: “Us girls should be able to propose so we can organise it all, otherwise I’ll be waiting for ages, but I’d never propose!”

Sinitta thinks Honey G is out of The X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Sinitta doesn’t think ‘X Factor’ artist Honey G will survive this week’s elimination.
The 53-year-old singer took to Twitter on Saturday (29.10.16) as she sat in the live audience for the singing competition and gave her comments on all the remaining acts, including the controversial rap artist who performed a rendition of Will Smith’s ‘Men in Black’.
The ‘So Macho’ hitmaker wrote: “Not being funny but @The_Honey_G may not have done enough to survive this weekend because they were all brilliant and improved @TheXFactor (sic)”
However, Sinitta – who is the ex-girlfriend and close friend of the talent show’s boss Simon Cowell – also said that she could see the rapper making it to the final as “Brits are crazy”.
She added: “As Brits are crazy I can actually imagine @The_Honey_G making the finals -Hell to the N to the O when you say Honey i say No! @TheXFactor (sic)”
And her Twitter rant isn’t the only time the ‘Toy Boy’ singer – who has previously appeared on the show as Simon’s guest during Judge’s Houses – has hit out at Honey G.
Sinitta previously branded the star – real name Anna Georgette Gilford – as “faking it”, and compared her to Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedy creation Ali G.
She said previously: “Her mother has a middle class, English accent, she’s very pretty. She’s not at all ghetto, she doesn’t say ‘yo’ and ‘what’s up’ and everything. So I don’t know how Honey G has developed all these traits. I think she’s faking it, but I think she believes. I think she has reinvented herself as a black American ghetto rapper.
“[But she’s not racist]. That’s like saying Ali G is racist … Maybe Honey G is the musical version of him.”
Meanwhile, the beauty had nothing but good things to say about the other contestants, describing Emily Middlemas’ rendition of ‘Creep’ by Radiohead as “compelling”.
She wrote: “that voice has a whole new dimension, its not just sweet its haunting transporting and compelling.. #clicked @TheXFactor @emilymiddlemas_ (sic)”
‘The X Factor’ is next on ITV on Sunday night (30.10.16) for the results show at 8pm.

Simon Cowell's X Factor teeth troubles

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell struggled to judge the ‘X Factor’ contestants with his vampire fangs.
The music mogul donned the Halloween accessory for Saturday evening’s (29.10.16) Fright Night show and it ended up distracting his fellow judge Louis Walsh when he went to critique his contestant Gifty Louise.
Responding to Louis’ slating of Gifty’s performance of ‘I’m In Love With A Monster’, Simon said: “It’s not a risk. It’s doing something different, Louis.”
However, the 64-year-old television personality fired back, questioning Simon about his teeth, which earned a laugh from fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger.
Simon also got into difficulty with his teeth when he tried to congratulate Matt Terry on his stunning performance of ‘I Put A Spell On You’.
Showering praise on the hopeful, he said: “Matt, for me, this is your best performance in the whole competition … I’ve got to take these [teeth] out. I can’t though.”
Earning a laugh from the studio audience, Nicole said: “It’s like a grill for a vampire.”
Elsewhere on the show, girl group Four of Diamonds – made up of Sophia, Caroline, Yasmin & Lauren – came back fighting after being in the bottom two last weekend.
Simon told them: “It was cool. It wasn’t copycat. It actually felt real to me for the very very first time. The difference between last week and this week was chalk and cheese. I assume Louis had nothing to do with this.”
5 After Midnight also wowed with Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’, putting their own unique spin on the iconic Halloween track.
Emily Middlemas closed the show with a performance of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’, earning a standing ovation from the judges.
Louis said: “Emily, I am speechless. That was so special … It was haunting, it was scary but it was brilliant. Emily, that was unbelievable.”
Whilst Nicole added: “Emily, I say it week after week but I want to say – thank you. You are so powerful. You gave us everything. I was blown away. It was the performance of the night for me.”
‘The X Factor’ continues on Sunday evening (30.10.16) on ITV.

Laura Whitmore tops Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Whitmore and Giovanni Pernice topped the leaderboard after making a triumphant return to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 31-year-old television personality and her professional partner raked in an impressive 36 points on Saturday night’s (29.10.16) show after she was forced to miss last weekend’s performance due to an ankle injury.
Impressing the judges with a Halloween tango to The Rolling Stones’ ‘Paint It Black’, Len told the dancing duo: “It was sharp, full of passion and great chemistry between the two of you.”
Gymnast Claudia Fragapane and her partner AJ Pritchard jointly topped the leaderboard with their American Smooth to ‘Black Magic’.
Praising their performance, Craig said: “I thought the whole thing was dynamic. Well done!”
Anastasia and Brendan Cole didn’t have as good a week, taking last place in the leaderboard after their jive to ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ fell short of expectations.
Whilst Craig gave the pair a four, Bruno praised the singer for giving it all she had.
He said: “I love when somebody gives all they’ve got. The jive is about the sharpness of the kicks and the flicks and it has to be absolutely pin sharp. Performance wise though, a treat.”
Whilst his performances have put him top of the leaderboard for two weeks running, sports presenter Ore Oduba missed out on the hat-trick this week with his charleston dressed as a creepy sweet shop owner to ‘I Want Candy’.
Darcey told him and his partner Joanne Clifton: “It was sweet, crispy, it was cheeky and neat. I feel like you have springs built into your shoes. It’s fantastic. You don’t tire at all; it’s amazing.”
Whilst Len added: “I was amazed by the intricacy of some of the steps. I can’t agree with Craig; the charleston I saw was fantastic.”
Louise Redknapp opened the show with a charleston, dressing up as ‘Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn whilst her dancing partner Kevin Clifton played The Joker.
Len told them: “100 per cent, so animated. That was a comic book charleston. I thought the routine was Dandy. You were Marvel and it was more fun than a Beano.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Sunday evening (29.10.16) on BBC One.

Union J's Jaymi Hensley battled depression over weight comments

OHMYGOSSIP — Jaymi Hensley has revealed negative comments about his weight made him depressed.
The former ‘X Factor’ contestant – who appeared on the show with his band Union J in 2012 – has opened up about how negative comments on a photo of him on holiday three years ago have “affected [his] mental health”.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 26-year-old star said: “The headlines were ‘Fat Jamie’ and ‘Beer Belly’. All of the other boys were ending up on these sites like, ‘Fit Famous Males’ and I was on ‘Bros with Bellies’. It was awful.
“After that it affected the holiday. I wouldn’t go to the beach, I wouldn’t take my top off. That stemmed the last three years. I started not eating. I would never get changed in front of people.
“I actually made myself not very well at all and that really affected my mental health.
“I lost a good two and a half to three stone since X Factor and became very skinny.
“I would binge eat. My biggest demon was food. I would get skinny so that I could eat again, then I wouldn’t eat so I could get skinny again.”
The ‘Carry You’ hitmaker – who was joined on the talent show by Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett, and George Shelley before George departed to pursue a solo career – also admits that at the height of Union J’s success, he was drinking heavily every night.
He said: “I was able to go to these clubs that you couldn’t ever get into in your wildest dreams before.
“You would go out with people you didn’t really know and they didn’t care if you got absolutely smashed.
“I would go out to three in the morning and get up at seven and go straight to work.
“I was making myself ill. I was doing everything I possibly could to numb it.
“We were socialising with people who were very famous and very powerful. You’d go in and there’d be free drinks on the tables, and by free drinks I mean ridiculous amounts of free alcohol.”

“He is very popular with the ladies especially older house wives; he’s going to be a massive hit.”
And the ‘Gavin & Stacey’ actor – who previously dated last year’s contestant Lady Colin Campbell – finds the show “entertaining”, and “can’t wait” to get involved.

“Producers think the personality that has made her a hugely popular member of the GB hockey team will shine through on camera.

Benedict Wong feels 'blessed' to go from comic fan to Doctor Strange star

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Wong revealed he feels ‘blessed’ to star in the new ‘Doctor Strange’ movie.
The 45-year-old British actor plays the character of Wong in Marvel’s Phase 3 film Doctor Strange, alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Scott Adkins and Tilda Swinton.
The fantasy sci-fi movie, based on a doctor who loses his ability to use his hands following a freak accident, discovers he has a much bigger quest – to defend the world – is directed by Scott Derrickson, who also co-wrote the film with Jon Spaihts and C. Robert Cargill.
In an interview with HeyUGuys, Wong said: “I just can’t believe – I was collecting Spider-Man comics when I was a kid and going to Odyssey Manchester – the comic book store that no longer exists – and there were no East Asian superheroes, so [the fact that] scene one exists in Doctor Strange is amazing – a bit of a blessing.”
And when it comes to watching comics-based films on the big screen, Wong admits he gets ‘giddy’.
Wong said: ” I oscillate between the two [the fan and the actor] I do some giddy laughing basically. I saw [it’s writer] Stan Lee on the red carpet and then lost my BLEEP – so it was amazing and just to see that final result was overwhelming. It was amazing [seeing it on the big screen]. We were working so hard – there’s thousands of people involved in this – I’m just a happy cog in the whole machine of this, to see the set design, the props, the costume designers and the green screen we were working in and then the editing and special effects team, what Scott Derrickson has done is amazing and then to see the end result that we saw in LA for the premiere.”
Wong has admitted that similar to the film title, lots of strange things have happened to him in his lifetime – including playing a character with the same name as his surname.
He explained: “There are too many strange things that happen to me that we call coincidence and alignment, like playing Wong, there’s two Benedicts in a film – he plays a Kahn and I’ve played a Khan too – and we could go on. I certainly think there’s something other worldly but we won’t know until we shuffle the mortal coil.”

Rambo to get reboot without Sylvester Stallone

OHMYGOSSIP — A ‘Rambo’ reboot is in the works without Sylvester Stallone.
The 70-year-old actor played the iconic John Rambo in the franchise’s four movies, but will not reprise his role for the upcoming reboot ‘Rambo: New Blood’.
Millennium Films is plotting the reboot of the popular 1980s action film franchise, and have tapped Brooks McLaren to pen the script, and Ariel Vromen to take up directorial duties.
The company is looking to find an actor who can transform the titular character into one akin to the likes of James Bond according to The Hollywood Reporter, and are opting for a younger star in place of Stallone.
John Rambo was the lead character in the 1972 novel ‘First Blood’, written by David Morrell. The book was adapted into a film of the same name in 1982, starring Stallone as the Vietnam war veteran.
The franchise then spawned sequels ‘Rambo: First Blood Part II’ in 1985 and ‘Rambo III’ in 1988. Whilst the former was a box office hit, the latter of the two flopped when it hit screens, and the character subsequently lay dormant until Stallone revived him for the 2008 movie simply entitled ‘Rambo’.
As far was ‘Rambo: New Blood’ is concerned, no plot details have been revealed as the production is still in the early stages of development.
There are also no casting announcements, shoot dates, or release dates for the new project as of yet.

Honey G blasts her haters

OHMYGOSSIP — Honey G has hit out at claims she is mocking black culture.
The ‘X Factor’ contestant has been causing controversy with her performances on the live shows, with some viewers claiming the rapper – real name Anna Georgette Gilford – is “attacking black culture” because of the songs she performs.
Now, the 35-year-old star has defended herself, branding the claims as “ridiculous”.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “This was probably one of the most ridiculous things I have seen so far.
“Any allegations of me being racist are completely false. All that stuff to do with me attacking black culture is utterly ridiculous.
“I’ve never said anything racist or behaved in that way, just because I’m pushing music from a black origin doesn’t mean I’m attacking black culture.
“I think people are discriminating against me, they are using the race card against me.
“I feel like they are discriminating against me because I am white. It makes me question whether they have a problem with someone rapping who is white.
“I’m not the only white person in the world who likes black music. There’s no evidence, proof or truth that I am a racist.”
The claims come after the controversial performer was branded as an “actress” by former ‘X Factor’ winners Little Mix, whilst Simon Cowell’s close friend Sinitta claiming Honey G was “faking it”.
Sinitta said: “Her mother has a middle class, English accent, she’s very pretty.
“She’s not at all ghetto, she doesn’t say ‘yo’ and ‘what’s up’ and everything.
“So I don’t know how Honey G has developed all these traits.
“I think she’s faking it, but I think she believes. I think she has reinvented herself as a black American ghetto rapper.”
Meanwhile Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall said: “I think it’s a joke. I don’t believe she’s real. She’s blatantly an actress. Let’s just say, I’ve heard she’s an actress.”
Honey G next appears on the ‘X Factor’ on Saturday (29.10.16) when she takes on Will Smith’s ‘Men in Black’.
