Jeremy McConnell has 'crush' on Lillie Lexie Gregg

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell has a “crush” on Lillie Lexie Gregg.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star may be expecting a baby with his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis, but that hasn’t stopped him looking for potential new lovers since their split and has admitted he’s got a soft spot for the ‘Ex on the Beach’ babe.
Speaking at Foxy Bingo’s Love Lodge event in Soho, London, on Monday (28.11.16), he said: “Lillie Lexi Gregg is really stunning, I kind of have a crush on her actually. I’m done with love for the moment, but there are always friends.”
However, it seems the feeling isn’t quite mutual for Lillie – who previously dated Stephen Bear – as she’s only got eyes for her new handsome footballer boyfriend Josh McEachran.
She explained: “My ideal person to kiss under the mistletoe would be my boyfriend Josh McEachran, I’m hoping to find a French Bulldog under the Christmas Tree! My boyfriend already has one so we need to get another one to keep him company!”
Jeremy, 26, set tongues wagging earlier this month after he deleted all the negative comments he’s posted about Stephanie since they called time on their turbulent relationship in May.
Although many eagle-eyed fans thought the kind gesture was Jeremy trying to make amends with the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star, he’s adamant he’ll never rekindle his relationship with her.
He said recently: “I will never be getting back with her, to clarify what I’ve said for months.”
Stephanie, 23, has always pleaded that Jeremy is the father of her unborn son, who is due into the world in January, but the Irish hunk isn’t convinced and wants a paternity test done.

Kevin Kennedy still battles with alcohol demons

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Kennedy still battles with his alcohol demons.
The 55-year-old actor – who battled with alcoholism in the 90’s but embarked on a journey to sobriety in 1998 after meeting his wife Clare – has admitted he hasn’t touched a drop of liquor since he gave up, but he is still trying to overcome the “disease” that plagued him every day.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (29.11.16), the former ‘Coronation Street’ star – who played the role of Curly Watts in the longstanding soap for over 20 years from 1983 to 2003- said: “Yes, I still have to work at it every day – it’s not as bad but it’s still always there in the back of my mind – as is the disease it can be there at any time, just to set you off. It’s a disease and it’s mental health but touch wood.”
And as a result of being a reformed alcoholic, Kevin has admitted he had to learn to love his wife again.
He explained: “I’ve been sober now for 18 years. But the problem now is you know if you’re a married couple and you go through that together you might get sober and say ‘I don’t like you any more’. We had to go through all that wooing stuff again.”
And Kevin – who checked in for treatment at London’s The Priory – has praised his bosses at ITV for the way they dealt with his addiction at the time.
He added: “[‘Coronation Street’] was brilliant at the time – they really took the American approach where they send their people in to rehab, which is very sensible because you get a better employee back and very loyal.”
Meanwhile, Kevin has made no secret he would like to return to the cobbles.
Speaking previously about a comeback, he said: “It would be nice, I would love to. It’s no secret I’d love to go back and do some more and if that opportunity arises then brilliant.”

BFI to convert old TV shows to digital format

OHMYGOSSIP — The British Film Institute (BFI) are set to convert old British television programmes into digital formats before they are lost forever.
Classic television shows such as BBC’s ‘The Basil Brush Show’ and ITV’s ‘Tiswas’ are among those in line for preservation on a digital format, as hard copies such as VHS tapes only have a “five or six-year shelf life” and will be long gone if they’re not digitised.
Heather Stewart, creative director for the BFI, said in a statement: “Material from the 70s and early 80s is at risk.
“It has a five or six-year shelf life and if we don’t do something about it will just go, no matter how great the environment is we keep it in.
“Our job is make sure that things are there in 200 years’ time.”
In total, the BFI has set aside £13.5 million of Lottery funding in order to work on making the UK’s entire screen heritage available in a digital format.”
Around a whopping 100,000 of British television episodes and clips held on obsolete video formats are expected to be converted.
Other programmes to be converted to this format include ‘Do Not Adjust Your TV Set’, an ITV comedy series starring Michael Palin and Eric Idle, Granada Television’s 1975 music show ‘Shang-a-Lang’, and ‘Vision On’, which is a BBC children’s programme aimed at those who have a hearing impairment.
Heather continued: “The whole infrastructure in relation to video is just disappearing.
“There are technicians who want to retire. We can’t let them go until we’ve got this stuff off these two-inch and one-inch formats.
“There’s a limited pool of people who know how to do it. There’s a limited pool of machines. The guy who runs the archive is collecting the stuff from car boot sales.”
The news comes as part of the BFI’s five-year strategic plan for 2017-2022 which will see the investment of almost £500 million for UK film.

Gregg Wallace fell in love with wife Anna on Twitter

OHMYGOSSIP — Gregg Wallace fell in love with his wife after she tweeted about his duck and rhubarb dish.
The 52-year-old ‘MasterChef’ co-presenter – who married Anne-Marie Sterpini at Hever Castle in Kent earlier this year – has credited Twitter as a “dating site” and has admitted his partner grabbed his attention when she publicly complemented him on the social media site in 2013.
Speaking about how he and his spouse met on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (29.11.16), the culinary mastermind said: “When I was single, Twitter for me was like going fishing, what I found is it’s not a dating site, you can chat to people. Anna my beautiful wife – I’m very fortunate I’ve been with her for four years – and she just asked me about duck and rhubarb, which is a dish I cooked for the telly and I looked at her picture and said ‘Oh my word you’re a pretty girl.”
And the former greengrocer – who has son Tom and daughter Libby from his previous marriage to his second wife Denise – has admitted he and his current spouse enjoy getting busy in the kitchen together, although he has credited her as the “best home cook”.
Speaking about his other half, who is 21 years his younger, he said: “Mrs Wallace is very shy but she is the best home cook. We like to cook together, put on the music and open a bottle of wine. Her family is Italian and she is an amazing cook and presenter, unlike you [Janet].”
Meanwhile, Gregg has revealed he’s desperate to start a little brood with Anna.
Speaking previously about his family plans, he said: “Meeting Anna has brought me what I think I’ve always been searching for – that big, warm family dynamic and there’s real strength in that.
“Anna was clear from the start of our relationship that she wants children and it won’t be long at all before that happens.”

Nicole Kidman clocked up air miles to see kids while shooting Lion

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman made a 4,500-mile round trip to shoot ‘Lion’ to avoid uprooting her family.
The 49-year-old actress depicts the real-life role of Australian Susan Brierley who, with her husband, adopted two Indian boys and raised them in Hobart, Tasmania, in the drama – which is based on Saroo Brierley’s book ‘A Long Way Home’.
In order to fulfil her shooting schedule and promotional work for the movie, Kidman chose to make the long trek to work rather than make her family, husband Keith Urban and their daughters Sunday, eight, and Faith, five, relocate from their home in Nashville.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph newspaper, Kidman said: “I was shooting in Louisiana, got on a plane and went straight home to Nashville, so I was able to take my kids to school, spend the morning with Keith, then got on another plane to come here to Los Angeles to fulfil my obligations to ‘Lion’, and then I go straight back to Louisiana again.”
The total distance of that round trip is approximately 4,508 miles but it’s something that Kidman endured in order to keep her family happy in Nashville, where she has lived for the past 10 years with Urban.
It enables her to balance her home and work life and means that she can take on new projects rather than pass up opportunities like she did when she turned down the chance to star in the Broadway production of ‘Photograph 51’ – which was such a success for her in London’s West End – because her kids didn’t want to move to New York.
Speaking about her changing attitude to work, Kidman – who also has two adopted children, son Connor, 21 and daughter Isabella, 23, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise – said: “It’s a great play and a great role, and I would have had an amazing time. But we had a family meeting and my kids said, ‘No’. They didn’t want to go to New York for four months – and I get it. I’m not a single girl and not a childless woman, and I need to bow down to that.”
And living in Nashville is something that Kidman – who was born in Hawaii and grew up in Sydney, Australia – absolutely “loves”.
She explained: “I am lucky because I travel, but in terms of a home base, it’s good for us. It’s very quiet and easy, and it’s just a really lovely way of life.”

Ed Balls channelled 'camp side' on Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Balls didn’t know how to channel his “inner camp side” until he appeared on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 49-year-old politician was booted off the ballroom and Latin show on Sunday (27.11.16) night but admitted he enjoyed showing off a different persona of himself and revealed he added personal touches into every one of his routines.
He said: “I’ve always had a fun, slightly camp side. But those are things people don’t see when you are a politician.
“It was a big wow to me as well because not only did I not know I could channel my inner camp side, but I didn’t know it was needed.
“Our performances were exuberant, camp and a bit wild, but we loved it.
“Each week Katya [Jones] would show me some moves and I would try them.
“She would say that bears no resemblance to the dance but I’ll see how we can fit it in. These dances had all bits of me in it.”
Ed surprised many viewers by making it to Week 10 before he was booted off the show, but he was disappointed to be seen as a “novelty act” throughout his time on the show.
He said: “If I had one frustration it’s that we found we never got rid of the label of novelty act.
“I wanted to take it seriously and spent hours rehearsing. I wanted to be entertaining and fun but taken seriously.”
While he put plenty of effort in rehearsing his routines, Ed admits he wasn’t as good as some of his fellow competitors, particularly Danny Mac, Ore Oduba and Louise Redknapp, who remain in the competition alongside Judge Rinder and Claudia Fragapane.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “My problem was I didn’t get better fast enough compared to Danny Mac, Ore Oduba and Louise Redknapp.
“If I’ve worked hard, Ore and Danny have worked even harder.
“Danny was a good dancer at the beginning but his Samba (last weekend) was absolutely fantastic. He’s become a great dancer.”

Chris Bisson's 'worrying' proposal

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Bisson didn’t get down on one knee to propose because he was scared he’d tumble into a waterfall.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actor recently popped the question to his partner of 10 years, Rowena Finn – who he has kids Harry, three, and 11-month-old Ella with – beside the picturesque feature, but admitted he didn’t ask her to marry him in the traditional way for “health and safety reasons”.
He said: “I was also worried about dropping the ring in the water because my hand was shaking,”
After waiting 10 years to be asked the big question, Rowena admitted she was “shocked” when Chris finally uttered those all-important words.
Rowena added: “All my friends said it was obvious Chris was going to propose after 10 years, but to me it wasn’t because I’d already waited 10 years. Every anniversary I was hoping I’d get a ring.
“I was in shock. The ring blew me away. Then I thought, ‘Let’s get off this ledge!’ I finally said yes and the ring fitted perfectly. It was amazing. We both got a little emotional.”
Chris – who plays Jai Sharma in the soap – admitted he feels even closer to his bride-to-be after popping the question.
He said: “I feel a different sort of closeness because wherever Row goes I know she’s wearing her engagement ring. It’s nice to know it’s on her finger and she’s coming back.”
The couple’s kids will also play a huge part in their big day.
Rowena added to OK! magazine: “Harry will be a pageboy and Ella will be a flower girl.
“Having children has taken our relationship to a whole new level. They complete us.”
The full interview with Chris and Rowena is in the latest issue of OK! magazine.

Big Brother bosses ask pairs to apply

OHMYGOSSIP — The new ‘Big Brother’ series is on the lookout for pairs.
Channel 5 have issued a casting announcement asking for anyone who fancies themselves as “TV’s next duo” to apply for the forthcoming series because show bosses are on the hunt for pairs with “strong opinions”.
They said: “Do your loved ones always have the neighbours talking?
“Do you fancy yourselves as TV’s next duo?
“We’re on the lookout for outgoing pairs with strong opinions and stand out personalities from across the UK!
“You can apply with anyone you consider to be family – all welcome to apply!”
The series has featured pairs before but there has never been a full series of just duos.
It’s not clear whether contestants will be able to enter on their own as well.
This comes after it was revealed the new ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ series will have a ‘Gold Stars vs All Stars’ format in which returning housemates will live with celebs who are new to the infamous abode.
The latest star to be linked to the show is Bianca Gascoigne, the step-daughter of legendary England footballer Paul Gascoigne.
A source said: “Not only is Bianca great value on her own she’s also related to one of Britain’s most famous and talked-about football stars.
“Producers think Bianca will be a big hit with viewers.
“She’s a gorgeous girl who isn’t afraid of flashing the flesh. She’s also feisty and willing to speak her mind and stick up for herself. Bianca can be sweet, but she’s not a walkover.”
Other stars linked with a return to the new series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ include last year’s winner Stephen Bear and controversial model Angélique ‘Frenchy’ Morgan.
Outspoken model Jasmine Lennard and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan are also thought to be in talks with show bosses about returning to the house.
What’s more, reality TV couple Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag – who were runners-up of ‘CBB’ in 2013 to Rylan Clark – are said to have signed a big-money deal to return to the programme.

Lisa Snowdon's romances weren't 'happy' enough for kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Snowdon has never had kids because she “wasn’t in happy relationships”.
The 44-year-old radio host – who previously dated George Clooney for five years – insists that while she wanted to become a mother when she was younger, she has never got pregnant because she was conscious about having an “unhappy pregnancy”.
She said: “I always wanted to be a mum when I was younger – it was something I always imagined doing and being.
“But slowly over the years it just hasn’t happened for various reasons, mostly the fact that I wasn’t in happy relationships and I just didn’t want to have a baby and not have a happy home.
“I didn’t want to have an unhappy pregnancy, I just didn’t.”
Lisa – who is now dating her longtime pal George Smart – insists she has “come to terms” with the idea that she will never be a mum.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “It’s something I have kind of come to terms with. A lot of the younger ones in there want children or have children.”
After dating 55-year-old Clooney, Lisa embarked on relationships with footballer Jay Bothroyd, 34, and ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ star Gary Dourdan, 49, as well as communications manager Adereti Monney, 38.
Earlier this week, Lisa was voted off ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, and during her time in the Australian jungle admitted she “let it late” to have kids.
She said: “[I don’t want] children] now. It’s a weird one because it’s so hard. I left it kind of late. I didn’t find anybody that I wanted to actually be with and I didn’t want to have kids to just [to have kids], I wanted that unit kind of thing.”

Doctor Foster series 2 to start two years on

OHMYGOSSIP — Doctor Foster’s second series will pick up the original story two years on.
Jodie Comer, who plays Kate Parks in the show, has revealed the programme will enable viewers to find out more about her character, who had an affair with Gemma Foster’s (Suranne Jones) husband Simon Foster (Bertie Carvel) in the first five-episode run.
She told Digital Spy: “People have changed, time has passed – we pick up the series two years later.
“On a personal level, what’s exciting for me is people will actually get to know Kate as a person. She is just known as ‘the other woman’ – so I think it’s quite cool to come back and hopefully maybe give people a different perspective.”
The dramatic first series culminated in a tense final episode in which Gemma embarrassed Kate about her affair in front of her family and Simon at a dinner party, and Jodie admitted she loved the crescendo in the first four episodes.
She added: “The amazing thing about series one was the build-up.
“It was such a build-up to that final episode, but that’s happened now and the story’s moved on.”
Suranne has previously admitted she was initially opposed to the idea of another series of ‘Doctor Foster’ following its success last year before signing up to reprise her role as Gemma.
She said: “I’ve read episode one and I’m due two and three. At first I didn’t know whether there should be a series two but then I wanted to look at the aftermath of a divorce as I don’t think there’s been any of that on TV…”

Only Fools and Horses documentary in the works

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst are to reunite for an ‘Only Fools and Horses’ documentary.
The pair, who played market trader Del Boy and his plonker brother Rodney Trotter in the long-running sitcom, are said to be keen to team up again for a look back at the popular show’s seven-series run.
A source said: “David and Nicholas are really keen to do the documentary and it’s all coming together now.
“The show is a cult sitcom and they have fans all around the world.”
What’s more, ‘Only Fools’ fans are hoping there will be another Christmas special one day to add to the previous 19 festive episodes, including 1996’s ‘Time on Our Hands’ which pulled in a sitcom record 24.3 million viewers.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “Although it hasn’t run for 13 years, fans are still hopeful they will do another Christmas special.”
David and Nicholas last reprised their roles as Del and Rodney in 2014 for a sketch in aid of Sport Relief starring former England football captain David Beckham.
The skit was well-loved by ‘Only Fools’ fans and culminated with the footballer comically mimicking the famous scene when Del Boy fell through a bar in 1989 episode ‘Yuppy Love’.
There were rumours the series could make a one-off return but such talk went quiet after creator and writer John Sullivan passed away aged 64 in April 2011.
Tessa Peake-Jones, who played Del Boy’s partner Raquel, recently admitted she cannot see the show – which also starred Buster Merryfield as Uncle Albert, and Lennard Pearce as Granddad – coming back.
She said: “The show’s legacy is remarkable but it was John’s baby.
“He was the most amazing writer. I can’t see it coming back.”
The programme ran for seven series from September 1981 to December 2003, culminating in final episode ‘Sleepless in Peckham’, which attracted a TV audience of 16.3 million.
‘Only Fools’ has also spawned two spin-offs, prequel ‘Rock & Chips’, which starred James Buckley as a young Del and Nicholas as Rodney’s biological father Freddie “The Frog” Robdal, and ‘The Green Green Grass’ about Boycie and Marlene’s (John Challis and Sue Holderness) new life in the countryside.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ola Jordan wants Adam Thomas or Scarlett Moffatt to win ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here’.
The 34-year-old blonde beauty became the third celebrity to leave the Australian jungle on Monday night (28.11.16), joining fellow campmates Danny Baker and Lisa Snowdon who were the first and second celebrities to be kicked off the show, and she is hoping either the ‘Emmerdale’ actor or ‘Gogglebox’ star triumph.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ on Tuesday morning (29.11.16), when asked who she’s backing as King or Queen of the jungle, Ola said: “Adam [Thomas] or Scarlett [Moffatt], I think one of them [will win].”
According to the bookies’ latest odds, Scarlett is favourite to win the show at 7/4, closely followed by ‘Emmerdale’ actor Adam at 2/1.
Ola admitted she wanted to “stay longer” on ‘I’m A Celeb’ because everyone got on so well in camp.
Reflecting on her time in the jungle, she said: “I did have an amazing time and yeah I would have loved to stay longer but that’s part of the show, I have had an amazing time it’s been great.
“Everyone has been amazing and I think that was the whole part of me enjoying it as well so much.”
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional admitted she had overcome her fears by taking part in the terrifying challenges.
She said: “I did, walking on the plank on top of a building is something that I would never ever imagine doing so yeah it’s been amazing for me, I did love the experience.”
But she admitted her worst ordeal were the dreaded Bushtucker Trials.
Ola explained: “[The worst task was] The tube where we had to lay down with other people and there were cockroaches and other creatures running around and it was in the dark, it wasn’t very pleasant at all, so I don’t know how I did that myself to be honest.”
Ola – who is married to fellow former ‘Strictly’ star James Jordan – revealed the first thing she did when she got out of the jungle was have a good wash.
When asked what she and James got up to on her first night of freedom, she said: “Not that I would tell you that … I had a bath and a shower because I wanted to make sure I scrubbed all of the cockroaches off me. There was a lot of strong smells in the jungle so I needed to get rid of all of that so hopefully I’m clean now.”

Honey G wants Jay Z-style success after hitting 'rock bottom'

OHMYGOSSIP — Honey G wants to become as successful as Jay Z and Missy Elliott after previously hitting “rock bottom”.
The former ‘X Factor’ wannabe – who was voted off the show on Sunday (27.11.16) – has set her sights on a glittering career both musically and financially after revealing she has had some “hellish” times which have included being on benefits.
She said: “I definitely want a first-class lifestyle. But my life up until now has been a real financial struggle.
“There have been times where I’ve hit rock bottom and had to go on benefits.
“I’d been running my business but it wasn’t going well and I wasn’t able to get a suitable job.
“So yeah, my life has been a struggle and hellish.”
Honey has previously found the festive period particularly difficult when she was strapped for cash and could barely afford to feed herself, but she is hoping to never have financial difficulties again and wants to own a big house.
She said: “I’ve had times like Christmas as well when I haven’t even been able to afford to go out at the weekend, I haven’t been able to afford to eat or just seeing my friends or even get a train ride somewhere.
“To have wealth would mean so much to me. It would be amazing. I want to be like rap stars like Jay Z and Missy Elliott with big cribs and stuff. I’m so ambitious, I’m so hungry and I’m so driven.”
The 35-year-old rapper – whose real name is Anna Georgette Gilford – admitted this week she is hoping Simon Cowell’s company SyCo will offer her a record deal, and she has already set her sights on being as successful as former ‘X Factor’ stars One Direction.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she added: “I’m kind of looking to come in at the level that One Direction came in at. I know that I can create that hype.
“I just need the opportunity to be able to sell the records, get the right PR behind me, get the right team behind me that’s really going to blow me up.”
