Emily Middlemas voted off The X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Middlemas has been voted off ‘The X Factor’.
The 18-year-old hopeful was booted from the ITV show after losing the sing-off to fellow contestant Matt Terry, despite a beautiful performance of ‘Wings’.
Speaking after her exit, she said: “I’m so proud of myself to actually get to the semi-final. I want to say a massive thank you to all of the team behind this – the researchers who look after us in the house, people doing make up, Brian [Friedman] … the judges, Dermot, all of the contestants. This year’s been amazing and I’m just so happy to have been a part of it.”
Whilst her mentor Simon Cowell added: “It is a competition and the three do deserve to be there [in the final]. I’m gutted for Emily because when you get this close … but it’s all about what you do with the rest of your life now. You should see this positively. You were fantastic. I’m really proud of you.”
And Matt – who sang Christina Aguilera’s ‘Hurt’ in the sing off – admitted the whole experience was “terrifying”.
He explained to host Dermot O’Leary: “It was terrifying. Emily was incredible. I was so nervous but now I’m so relieved!”
Following the news, Matt and his fellow finalists Saara Alto and 5 After Midnight made their way out of the studio where they hopped on their own Battle Buses. They are set to tour the country this week in a bid to secure votes ahead of next weekend’s final.
Meanwhile, the four semi-finalists kicked off the show with a group performance of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’, continuing Saturday night’s (03.12.16) festive theme. Lady Gaga wowed with a performance of ‘Million Reasons’ whilst Zara Larsson impressed with a mash up of hit tracks ‘I Would Like’ and ‘Lush Life’.
The ‘X Factor’ continues on Saturday December 10, where the remaining three contestants – Matt, Saara and 5 After Midnight – will take to the Wembley Arena stage in a bid to be crowned this year’s X Factor champion.

Judge Rinder leaves Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Judge Robert Rinder has left ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 38-year-old television personality narrowly missed out on a place in the BBC One latin and ballroom show’s semi-final after fellow contestant Ore Oduba won the dance-off on Sunday (04.12.16) evening.
He said: “I honestly don’t know what to say, every single person involved in this programme has so much love for it and that permeates through the screen. It’s a joy to be here, every single person, there’s too many people to thank but I even want to thank the judges. I know how difficult it is sometimes to be a judge and you do it with authenticity and enthusiasm and thank you all for your comments.
“And my last thank you and my most important one is to this truly extraordinary person, this teacher that has shown me from somebody who could barely walk to music with no dance experience at all, to find a passion and a love for dance and that’s the best kind of teaching. You are never too old to try something new and everyone should try dancing, thank you so much.”
And his professional dancing partner Oksana Platero – who made her ‘Strictly’ debut in the show this year – was full of praise for the television judge.
Speaking to hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, she added: “This is my first season on Strictly and I had an unforgettable time and I want to say thank you to everyone involved with the show and I am especially grateful for making this partnership happen.”
In the dance off, Ore was put through after the judges unanimously voted to save the sports presenter and partner Joanne Clifton.
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns on Saturday December 10, where the remaining celebrities will have to do two dances in a bid to impress the judges.

Wayne Bridge wants more kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Wayne Bridge wants more children – but not yet.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ star – who was eliminated from the competition over the weekend – has admitted he’d love to add to his brood with his wife Frankie Bridge but wants to wait until his boys Parker, three, and Carter, 15 months, are a bit older and are in school full time.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday newspaper, he said: “I’ve got one just out of nappies and I’ve got one who’s probably got a year left in nappies. The last thing I want is another two or three years in nappies. I’d love to have more so if it happens when they’re both at nursery, or at school then great but I really wouldn’t want any before that.”
However, the 36-year-old retired footballer – who also has 10-year-old son Jaydon with his ex-partner Vanessa Perroncel – would really like to have a “big family” eventually.
He explained: “I’d love a big family but it is full on. It is full on. I was thinking about getting a job at Waitrose just so I didn’t have to take care of the kids for a while.”
Wayne recently found himself in hot water with his wife – who he married in 2014 – because he admitted to the rest of his camp mates that they rarely have time for sex nowadays.
He said while in the jungle: “All I’m saying is before you have babies you should try everything you want to try.
“Even after babies it should be up there – it only drops because you aren’t having the amount you were having because you’ve got kids.”

Danny Dyer to stay in EastEnders for another year?

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer is set to stay on ‘EastEnders’ for at least another year.
The 39-year-old actor – who is known for playing pub landlord Mick Carter in the long-running soap – is in negotiations with bosses of the BBC One show about staying on the programme until May 2018.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “It’s a little while off, but of course these things are planned a fair way in advance because of the way the show is filmed. Danny is so popular it’s a no-brainer.
“He’s very much in the plan for the show going forwards and he’s said himself how much he enjoys it. It’s been a great casting so far and everyone wants it to continue – especially the fans.”
The hunk reportedly earnt £400,000 on the soap last year but it’s not yet known whether bosses are planning to increase that this year.
And providing the price is right, there should be no reason why Danny won’t agree to extend his contract as he recently admitted that he’d continue to be in the programme all the time his alter ego Mick is in charge of Albert Square’s fictional boozer, The Queen Victoria.
The handsome star joined the cast in 2013, along with his on-screen wife Kellie Bright, who plays the matriarch Linda Carter, and they have both proved a huge hit with viewers over the past three years.
And his talent hasn’t gone unnoticed at television events either as he won a National Television Award for Serial Drama Performance earlier this year but unfortunately missed out on the Best actor prize – despite being nominated – at the British Soap Awards.

Scarlett Moffatt to make millions after I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt is set to make a fortune after her stint in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle.
The ‘Gogglebox’ star recently admitted that she’d rather have a “million laughs than a million pounds” but it seems that may now be out of her control as TV bosses are desperate to snap her up for a number of television shows following her successful stint on the creepy-crawly series.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “There has even been talk of her fronting her own TV show.
“Scarlett will be ecstatic. She went into the jungle in the hope that it would lead to TV work. This is her chance to go from someone known for watching TV on her sofa to someone known for being on TV in her own right.”
Producers are keen to bag the 26-year-old beauty as they believe her hilarious one-liners will rake viewers in.
But it seems bosses from a range of channels have the same idea as they’re currently locked in a battle with each other over who’ll persuade her management to accept their offer.
And it’s not just television work that has come off the back of the jungle, as it’s thought Scarlett has also been offered a publishing deal while she’s been in camp to pen her own autobiography.
Despite her down-to-earth attitude, Scarlett will no doubt be thrilled to learn of the opportunities when she leaves the camp on Sunday (04.12.16).
The brunette beauty is currently favourite to win ‘I’m A Celeb…’ but she’ll need to fight off competition from her fellow finalists Joel Dommett and Adam Thomas if she’s to lift the crown.

June Brown offered 300k deal to extend EastEnders contract

OHMYGOSSIP — June Brown has reportedly been offered a deal worth £300,000 to extend her contract on ‘EastEnders’ for another year.
The 89-year-old actress – who is known for portraying chain-smoking laundrette worker Dot Cotton in the long-running soap – will see her contract come to an end in March next year but bosses are already keen to slap down an offer she can’t refuse in a bid to keep her tied to the BBC One show until 2018.
A source told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Bosses at the BBC like to open talks early so things don’t go down to the wire. They realise June isn’t getting any younger but she has intimated that she wants to carry on in the role as long as she feels able, so that is great news.”
However, producers may have to dig a little deeper to persuade June to stay as she admitted recently that she’d like to hang up her character’s overalls before she turns 90 in February.
She said: “I don’t know how long I’ll stay. I don’t think I want to end my life on a soap, but we’ll see.
“I don’t want to be 100, or even 90. I don’t think I look nearly 90, but because I can’t see these days I don’t know. You don’t think about your age, you just knock it down.”
June first joined the programme in 1985 – when she was 58 – when she was brought in temporarily after her on-screen son Nick Cotton (John Altman) was accused of murder.
But her contract was extended time and time again after her bible-loving alter ego became a huge hit with viewers.
She took six months off from playing Dot in 2012 to write her autobiography but returned to the soap the following year.
Throughout her time on the show, June has found herself at the centre of some explosive storylines and, although she’s getting older, it seems bosses are still keen to give her a major role.
Her alter ego was left devastated in the summer when she learnt that her beloved laundrette was being shut down.
Not only is Dot trying to come to terms with losing her job, she’s just found out that her eyesight is deteriorating.

T.J. Miller feared wrestling scene with Jennifer Aniston

OHMYGOSSIP — T.J. Miller was worried about his wrestling scene with Jennifer Aniston in the forthcoming film ‘Office Christmas Party’.
The 35-year-old actor had to fight the former ‘Friends’ star in the festive flick, which is set for release next week, as they play warring siblings Clay Vanstone and Carol Vanstone and lock horns over the hunk’s decision to throw a bash for a client.
T.J is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “I was wondering how that was going to go. Luckily, she went easy on me. I don’t know if I would wrestle her in real life, I don’t think I would win. She’s quick on her feet and always hydrated. It’s all that soda water.”
And he certainly had every reason to be worried as the 47-year-old actress broke his ribs just minutes after meeting him on set, but he believes that was just “chemistry.”
He said previously: “The second I met Jen, if I can call you Jen, she immediately put me in a headlock. And then did a very strange pile-driver move, and my rib cage was broken. So it was sort of an immediate chemistry, I thought.”
The movie sees the Jennifer’s CEO alter ego attempt to close down the Christmas party at the Chicago branch of her company, which is run by her sibling.
The movie featured 350 extras who were told to improvise throughout the scenes, but one pair took the instruction too far by mocking oral sex, resulting in Olivia Munn having to re-shoot part of the film.
She said recently: “We don’t have much time to shoot these things. We come out and we shoot it four or five times, great, let’s move on. Wait … stop, stop, go back.
“There was a couple, they’re extras, and she was up on a filing cabinet and his head was between her legs and that’s what they decided to improv because they were told to do whatever they want.”

Matt Smith does 'best acting' naked

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Smith does his “best acting” when he’s naked.
The 34-year-old actor had to strip to play Prince Philip in ‘The Crown’ but insists it wasn’t “weird” as it felt right for the character, and he doesn’t mind baring all on screen.
Asked if it was weird, he said: “Why? He has a bum like everyone else, what’s weird about it? Philip is a man who embraces his physicality and it’s a fact that he would sleep naked. I probably do my best acting butt naked, because they’re my most, pardon the pun, stripped-back moments. I’ve got my arse out before, it’s nothing new.”
And the actor thinks Philip would be impressed by his nude portrayal.
He joked: “I think [the nude scenes] could potentially be the only part that he would look upon favourably.”
Since working on the Netflix miniseries, Matt has developed a fascination with the royal family and is a bit embarrassed he rarely ever thought of them before.
He said: “I wasn’t really anything before [the show], I didn’t have much of an opinion one way or the other. I wasn’t anti-monarchist at all, but I guess I never really saw them as real people in a way. I’ve lived in London for years, and been past Buckingham Palace without realising and have never given them a thought.
“And now I’m fascinated by their history and the history of Britain, which I’m rather ashamed to admit I wasn’t too up on.”
Though he enjoyed working on the show, Matt admits he found it daunting.
He told heat magazine: “The whole lot [was scary]. Worrying I wasn’t up to the job of playing a man we think we all know, in a way that is largely different from his public persona today, and then discovering he is really the antithesis of everything he’s presumed to be. And to try and tell a very human story in these extreme surroundings. That was pretty much down to the writers and I knew I was in more than capable hands. But yeah obviously there was trepidation but I enjoy that.”

Jenna Coleman has no Hollywood goal

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Coleman has no plans to try and break Hollywood.
The ‘Victoria’ actress’ career is going from strength to strength but she insists she is content with her life in the UK and has no desire to move to the US.
Asked if Hollywood appeals, she said: “The beauty of television is you have more time to explore a story.
“I will listen to my instincts and fight for something when I want to, but I want to live in London.
“I won’t go off and live in America.”
But the 30-year-old star also admitted she is in “denial” about how things are changing for her.
She added: “Maybe I’m still in denial that my life is exactly the same.”
Despite her successes, Jenna finds it difficult to praise her own achievements.
She said: “It’s going well. There have been a lot of ‘pinch me’ moments where you realise you’re actually doing what you wanted to do your whole life.
“I’m so sorry. I’ve just realised I’m doing the very British thing of not being able to pat yourself on the back.
“It’s more, ‘keep calm and carry on’. I just can’t say well done to myself.”
When it came to portraying the titular monarch in ‘Victoria’, Jenna turned to her former ‘Doctor Who’ co-star Matt Smith for help with research, as he was also preparing for a regal role, playing Prince Philip in ‘The Crown’.
She told Grazia magazine: “We both sat and tried to work out our relation to one another.
“I’m playing his great great granny, which is very funny for us.”

Sam Quek leaves I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Quek has left the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ jungle.
The Olympic gold medallist has become the ninth celebrity to exit the Australian jungle, narrowly missing out in a place in Sunday night’s (04.12.16) final.
Speaking after her exit, she said: “I can’t believe it is the end. I’m so overwhelmed. I can’t believe I got this far. I’m a bit emotional … Yesterday felt like the final. All of us were so tight and I think when Martin and Wayne went, it was a massive hit. We were so shocked. And yesterday was a bit of a quieter day; it was a bit of a reminisce day.”
And the 28-year-old sportswoman admits heading into the jungle was “a lot tougher” than she ever thought it would be.
She told hosts Ant and Dec: “When I lost that task to Adam, I was mortified. It took me a few days to get over that. I put more and more pressure on myself … It was a lot tougher [than I expected it to be].
“I’m so lucky to be in a position where I have so many people I can rely on – my family, team mates, my friends – and I thought I was quite self aware because we do all the training. But in the jungle, I learned lessons about myself that I would never learn anywhere else. It’s crazy but I loved every minute.”
Meanwhile, during Saturday night’s (03.12.16) episode, the remaining four celebrities – Sam, Scarlett Moffatt, Adam Thomas and Joel Dommett – took on the iconic bushtucker trial, Celebrity Cyclone.
Whilst the celebrities ended up getting the full four stars, it didn’t start off well for Scarlett as she struggled to even make it onto the slippery ramp and make her way up to the first star. With just minutes to go, the whole group finally made it to their positions, only for a huge wave of water to push them all back to the beginning and they had to scale the slippery slide once more.
Sam’s departure from the ITV show leaves Scarlett, Adam and Joel to fight it out to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle when the show reaches its climax on Sunday evening (04.12.16).

Simon Cowell criticises Matt Terry during X Factor semi final

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell compared Matt Terry’s performance to a butter-less sandwich as the contestants sang their hearts out in the ‘X Factor’ semi-finals.
The 57-year-old music mogul criticised the talent show hopeful as he opened the semi-final show on Saturday (03.12.16) with a unique spin on the traditional Christmas carol ‘Silent Night’.
Simon said: “I thought it was, um, nice. I thought it was a bit predictable. It was a little bit – until the end when you hit the high note – it was like having a sandwich without the butter.”
However, Louis Walsh was more supportive of Matt, telling him: “You’re going through to the finals. I love the a capella part; it shows you’re a proper singer. I think you’re special and you have to be in the final.”
And Simon’s criticisms continued when Matt took to the stage to sing his second song, Jessie Ware’s ‘Say You Love Me’.
The father of one shared: “I really like you but I don’t think tonight’s been your best night. It sounded like the track had overtaken you. This, for me, was bland.”
Elsewhere on the show, Emily Middlemas impressed with her version of ‘Mad World’ after her Christmas track was criticised by three out of four of the judges.
Commenting on her performance of the Tears For Fears song, Louis said: “I love that song. That should get you through to next week.”
Whilst Sharon Osbourne added: “Great great song choice. It was lovely to hear your version.”
Saara Aalto took the audience back to her first audition with a fantastic performance of Sia’s ‘Chandelier’, leaving her mentor Sharon speechless.
Simon told Saara: “Oh, bleep! I’ve got to hand it to you Saara, it was absolutely sensational. I thought the arrangement was stunning. So, respect!”
Meanwhile, 5 After Midnight closed the show with a performance of ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours’ and Simon admitted he would pick up the phone and vote for them if he was watching at home.
He said: “You know what, last week, I was worried about you and then tonight happened and something changed. But I think if I was voting at home, I would pick up the phone and vote for you.”
The ‘X Factor’ continues on Sunday evening (04.12.16).

Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse top leaderboard on Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Mac topped the leaderboard as ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ celebrated some of the world’s biggest musicals.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star and his professional partner Oti Mabuse wowed on the latin and ballroom show on Saturday (03.12.16) with a stunning tango to ‘One Night Only’ from hit musical ‘Dreamgirls’.
Head judge Len Goodman said: “It’s not One Night Only. Every night you come out on the dance floor, you produce fantastic dancing. I love that section in promenade when all of you were in a line. Great choreography. Danny, you are one heck of a dancer.”
Whilst Bruno Tonioli added: “It really was a star turn. You took it as a leading man. Every moment of that dance was under your control. You were the star of the show. I cannot give you a better compliment. You were the leading man tonight.”
Elsewhere in the show, Louise Redknapp and her partner Kevin Clifton performed an impressive ‘Calamity Jane’-inspired quickstep.
Len said: “I think you could go on the West End stage; it really captured the spirit of the musical.”
Claudia Fragapane and her dancer AJ Pritchard’s salsa to ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Be King’ from The Lion King impressed Darcey Bussell for the sheer amount of lifts and turns the dance included.
She said: “That routine was packed full with high energy. I haven’t seen that before, well done Claudia! I loved that double cartwheel leg when you turned aswell, some really great details.”
Ore Oduba opened the show with an impressive foxtrot to ‘Pure Imagination’ from ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ but was critiqued for a few “unsteady moments”.
Len shared: “It was delicious. Who can kick off this show in style? The Candy Man can! A couple of little unsteady moments from me.”
Whilst Darcey added: “There was such control there and it’s such a difficult ballroom genre.”
Despite being at the bottom of the leaderboard, Judge Rinder was praised for his “wonderful individual style” as he danced the samba to ‘Oh, What A Night’ from Jersey Boys.
Darcey told him and professional partner Oksana Platero: “The energy, the enjoyment. You gave 100 per cent as soon as you jumped off that stage. You have this wonderful individual style and it’s great fun. I loved watching you.”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Sunday (04.12.16).

I’d like to give everything I possibly can and push myself as much as I can. I want to be thrown from pillar to post by women.”

Will Young snubs Strictly return

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Young has snubbed an invitation to return for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’s grand finale.
The ‘Leave Right Now’ singer threw the show into chaos earlier this season when he announced he had quit the competition for “personal reasons” and he has opted not to return with his fellow former contestants for the last show in the series.
A source told The Sun: “He was asked to be part of the group dance… it’s a great routine which welcomes back this year’s Class of 2016. He politely declined.”
The former ‘Pop Idol’ winner’s shock exit came just two days after he locked horns with head judge Len Goodman over his Bollywood-inspired Salsa routine.
The 72-year-old ballroom dancer thought the energetic display lacked the traditional dance moves of a Salsa, to which Will argued that his routine contained all 24 counts needed.
However, Len had the last word as he told Will to “show up, keep up, and shut up.”
Will’s departure left his professional partner Karen Clifton “so sad” but she said she understands that he didn’t make the decision lightly and wished him all the best for the future.
She wrote on Twitter: “I know it wasn’t an easy decision for him. It was great dancing with him, he was such fun to work with and I wish him all the very best for the future.”
His now-former competitors also rallied around him as they said they were “gutted” he had been forced to leave the competition.

Larry Lamb to make EastEnders return?

OHMYGOSSIP — Larry Lamb is set to make a sensational return to ‘EastEnders’.
Although the 69-year-old actor’s character in the BBC One soap – Archie Mitchell – is dead, show bosses are planning to bring him back after Larry won a legion of new fans on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
A source told the Daily Star: “‘EastEnders’ has a new producer on board so anything can happen.
“The nation has fallen in love with Larry once again and this time it could spell the return of Archie.”
And Larry said: “The problem is when I left ‘EastEnders’ nobody knew who killed Archie Mitchell…
“So six months later when I’m long gone and having a new life, then they go and kill Archie Mitchell and you start finding out all this…
“Stranger things have happened!”
Meanwhile, speaking about his stint in the jungle, Larry – who was the sixth contestant to be voted out – said: “I’m disappointed [to leave] but I’ve had such an extraordinary time. Whatever happened, it changed me as a person. It really has – just to be with those people in that situation, it’s something you can’t really create. It’s got to be created for you.
“Those people coming together like that and everybody having to rub along and put up with each other’s little foibles … And the food regime; I would never do that but I know I’ve always wanted to do that – just to eat simple food all the time.”

Aquaman release date

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Aquaman’ will be released on October 5, 2018.
The eagerly anticipated DC Comics movie starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard and Willem Dafoe is set for release in IMAX and 3D.
Meanwhile, director James Wan recently teased details about the movie.
He said: “I kind of don’t want to give too much away but know this: The spirit that I’m going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story. It’s ultimately a quest story in the spirit of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ meets ‘Romancing the Stone.'”
Momoa (Aquaman) and Heard (Mera) will be making an appearance in ‘Justice League’ and Wan believes this will give the world a hint of what their standalone movie will be like.
He told Entertainment Tonight: “I think Amber and Jason Momoa, in their moments in ‘Justice League’, are going to give the rest of the world a flavour of what their own standalone movie could be. And that is just scratching the surface of what I plan to do.”
Amber is really looking forward to playing the underwater queen – and the wife of Aquaman – and is very excited about her costume.
She said: “Yeah, yeah I have. It’s interesting. It’s like, half suit of armour, half scales. I don’t know, it’s strange. But we’re in the process of building it now, so it’s coming along.”
