Danniella Westbrook is homeless

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook is reportedly homeless.
The 43-year-old actress has been staying “here there and everywhere” in recent weeks after she was turfed out of her home and had her car taken off her because she failed to keep up with the payments.
A source told The Daily Star Online: “She’s been busy viewing but hasn’t found her new home. Obviously timing isn’t great with it being so close to Christmas but she isn’t rushing into anything and is staying with friends and family over the festive period. Danniella now has a whole new team around her after spending a lot of 2016 surrounded by toxic people.”
The former ‘EastEnders’ star hasn’t had the best of luck recently as she appeared to be at death’s door over the summer when she was struck down with septicaemia.
The blonde star spent weeks in hospital while doctors tried to get the infection, which can be fatal if not treated, under control with antibiotics but she was later informed she had no choice but to have all of her teeth ripped out after the bacteria spread to the roof of her mouth
She said at the time when people were speculating she was pregnant: “I’ve been in hospital. I’ve had to have all my teeth removed for a blood and bone infection, through no fault of my own. I’m not on drugs and I’m not pregnant … I’m just very, very, poorly with a blood infection.”
Her toothless look and prolonged hospital stay plunged the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star – who famously lost her septum in 2000 due her excessive use of cocaine – into deep depression and this in turn lead to her trying to overdose on tablets.
Danniella – who has son Kai, 20, and 13-year-old daughter Jody – said: “When you relapse and you take drugs, you don’t see that [leaving the kids]. All you see is selfishness and a way out. So you carry on taking more drugs because you’re so low on such a comedown that you just think you want to kill yourself. I didn’t overdose on cocaine. I was just taking tablets orally.”
This wasn’t the first time Danniella has relapsed though, as she previously fell off the wagon in 2014 when life got tough.

Will Smith cried his eyes out watching Collateral Beauty

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith cried his “eyes out” while watching ‘Collateral Beauty’.
The 48-year-old actor plays the lead as Howard Inlet in the new drama movie and Will has admitted he found it difficult to detach himself from his intense role, which sees Howard deal with a tragedy as he reaches out to the universe and writes letters to Love, Time and Death.
Will said: “I generally try not to go method acting where I’m actually allowing character’s thoughts to drift in to my own, so I try and separate and think like that as much as possible.
“But it was much more watching the film where it started to hit me in that way, it’s a beautiful film. I cried my eyes out when I watched it, I’m a big softie.”
And while the Hollywood star has fulfilled other emotional roles during his career, he insisted that his new character had been one of his most touching.
Speaking at the ‘Collateral Beauty’ film premiere in London on Thursday (15.12.16), Will told the Daily Mail newspaper: “It’s a beautiful Christmassy kind of concept. It’s deeply and profoundly emotional, but there are some wonderful ideas.
“It’s the kind of film that if it hits you in the right way, you can really take something away from it which is beautiful.”
Will’s co-star Edward Norton, who plays Whit Yardsham, also spoke at the event in which he referred to working with Will and the cast as “a dream”.
He said: “I think people have to find their own interpretation of it, when you find something that you like.
“It’s a delight, it’s a privilege and same with the cast, it’s amazing and incredible working with Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren and Will Smith – it’s a dream.”

Denzel Washington fights to live a simple life

OHMYGOSSIP — Denzel Washington fights to live “a simple life”.
The 61-year-old actor – who is currently directing his own version of August Wilson’s play ‘Fences’, in which he stars as Troy Maxson, a dustman who failed as a baseball player – has insisted he is a normal guy who does not crave the attention of a “professional celebrity”.
He shared: “The older I’ve gotten, the more I fight for a simple life. I used to say ‘normal’ life, but it’s simplicity: do your job, raise your kids drive your car.
“I’m not a professional celebrity; I don’t need my picture taken at clubs. I’m an ordinary guy.”
‘Fences’ is set in the suburbs of 1950s Pittsburgh, where Troy lives with his wife of 18 years and their teenage sons Cory, Troy and Rose. However, their life together is shattered by an act of betrayal.
Denzel, who stars opposite Viola Davis in the movie, explained how his character’s behaviour tears the family apart.
He said: “When Troy comes into what used to be his home after what he’s done, it’s a house – not a home. There’s no love.”
Denzel explained that the story resembles part of his own life as he built his house with his real-life wife Paulette, after making a promise to her late father to take care of her.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: “We were having a house built and I said: ‘Dad, you going up to the house?’ And he said: ‘You’re making a home. It’s not a house. You promise me you’re making it a home.”
Denzel is joined in ‘Fences’ by Stephen Henderson, Jovan Adepo, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson and Saniyya Sidney.

Len Goodman's fear of not spending time with family prompted decision to quit Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Len Goodman’s fear of dying and not spending time with his family prompted his decision to quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 72-year-old professional ballroom dancer and head judge on the popular BBC programme has admitted although he may have a few more years left in him to critique dance routines, the fact he is ageing and his parents died aged 79 has made him want to enjoy “more time” with his granddaughter, instead of working, before he pops his clogs.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Len – who has been a part of the show for 12 years since it first aired in 2004 – said: “Maybe I have got one or two years left in me being a judge, but it’s the right time and I’ve had a wonderful 12 years.
“My father died when he was 79 and I’m 72. God willing I’ll live to be 99, but there’s always that chance that in six or seven years I could be brown bread.
“So I want to spend more time with my family as I’ve now got a granddaughter. I want to be able to do all these things.”
However, Len has admitted he never thought he would get the call to join the panel and lied to his friends he was asked to appear in the series when he wasn’t.
He explained: “In the end so many friends asked me if I had been for an audition I just lied and said, ‘Yeah, but I don’t want to do it’.
“They were struggling for a fourth judge and I luckily got the call very late for an audition.”
Although Len has revealed he feels it is the right time in his life to leave the show, he thinks he’ll “probably regret” quitting and will be struck down with deep feelings of nostalgia when the programme returns next year.
Speaking previously, he said: “What I’m gonna miss is turning up at the studio and [having] the expectation of what’s going to happen.
“I bet when next year comes around I’ll be sitting in doors and thinking, ‘I was daft’. It’s the right time.”

Naomie Harris intimated by A-list 'Collateral Beauty' cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomie Harris found it “intimidating” when she discovered she was starring alongside the likes of Will Smith and Dame Helen Mirren in ‘Collateral Beauty’.
Despite starring alongside Daniel Craig in ‘Spectre’ last year, the 40-year-old beauty felt under pressure to be her best working with some of Hollywood’s finest actors.
However, the cast – which also includes Kate Winslet and Keira Knightley – were all really “supportive” and “down to earth” on set.
She told HeyUGuys.com: “It was really intimidating I have to say. At the read through I was a bit like, ‘Oh my gosh! I have to act with all of these incredible people.
“But they were so nice and so down to earth. Really, really lovely and so supportive.”
Harris recently admitted she would love to be her co-star Dame Helen.
Speaking about the 70-year-old legend, she said: “I had one tiny scene with Helen but she is so amazing, she was incredible. It was just a scene where I had to just cry for basically four hours straight, but I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone better but her because she was so supportive, so encouraging, so warm and so down-to-earth, I just thought, ‘I wanna be her.'”
Harris plays Madeleine in the emotional drama, and has admitted she hasn’t suffered any losses in her life, but she has learned a lot about grief through making the film, which follows a grieving father Howard Inlet – played by Will Smith – who writes to Love, Time and Death after his six-year-old daughter passes away.
She said: “I learned a lot, because I don’t have children and I haven’t lost a child before and I haven’t really had any losses in my life and I had to explore all of that. And I found that to be a fascinating journey, so I grew as a result of it. I learnt a hell of a lot.”

The 29-year-old actor, who plays the role of Jesse Swanson – Anna Kendrick’s on screen boyfriend and lead singer of the acapella group in the comedy film – has admitted he has not been scripted in the movie’s sequel alongside his band and has claimed it’s because directors want to steer the plot in a “different direction”.
The star announced the news he would not be returning to continue his romance with The Bella’s member Beca Mitchell in a touching post on social media, although the star has featured in both ‘Pitch Perfect’ and its follow-up ‘Pitch Perfect 2’.
He tweeted: “Yes. As of now, the Trebles and I won’t be in the third Pitch Perfect movie. They seem to be taking the story in a different direction (sic).”

Peter Capaldi: I loved Batman

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Capaldi loved Batman as a child.
The 58-year-old actor joins forces with a masked Superhero in the eagerly-awaited ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas special, and ahead of its broadcast on December 25, Peter has revealed his long-time admiration for the iconic cape crusader.
Speaking during a Twitter Q and A with fans, he said: “My favourite superhero growing up, apart from Doctor Who, was Batman, because when I was a kid, the Adam West Batman series started and we loved it.
“Although we had to be warned not to do any superhuman activities because there was a terrible spate of kids thinking they were superhuman. Kids, you’re not superhuman. I am, but you’re not.”
The one-off, 60-minute episode also features Matt Lucas, Justin Chatwin, Charity Wakefield, Tomiwa Edun, Aleksandar Jovanovic and Logan Huffman.
But Peter remained tight-lipped about the episode, which is set in New York City.
Asked to describe the Christmas special in three words, the sci-fi star said: “I would describe the Christmas special as very, very Christmassy in three words. That’s two words, isn’t it? Very, very bloomin’ Christmassy. Very, very exceedingly Christmassy. Very ‘Doctor Who-ey’ … although ‘Doctor Who-ey’ is a bit Christmassy in the first place, don’t you think?
“What would Christmas be like in the Tardis? Christmas Day with the doors closed…”
Peter also opened up on his ideal Christmas, revealing that his favourite festive-themed tune is ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ by Frank Sinatra.
He shared: “My favourite Christmas song is ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’, because within the context in the film it appears in, ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’, it is also a very sad song.
“For me, Christmas can be both happy and sad – and song that perfectly encapsulates that is ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’.”

Joanna Page gives birth to baby boy

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Page has given birth to a baby boy.
The ‘Gavin & Stacey’ actress took to her Twitter account on Thursday (15.12.16) to announce that she and her husband James Thornton welcomed a “beautiful baby boy” named Noah into the world on Tuesday (13.12.16) morning.
She wrote: “Our beautiful baby boy Noah Wilder Russell was born Tues the 13th at 8:51am, weighing 7pounds 3. Welcome to our gang Noah! We love you xxx (sic)”
Newborn Noah is the third child for the 38-year-old star and the ‘Emmerdale’ star as they already have three-year-old daughter Eva and 20-month-old son Kit.
The couple – who got married in 2003 – announced they were expecting another little one in June and, although she had been struck down with morning sickness, she claimed that her queasy tummy was a “breeze” compared to looking after her kids.
She said: “Some good news! We’ve got baby number 3 on the way!!!! … Morning sickness is a breeze when you’re already looking after a 3 and 1 year old!” (sic)”
And, although she’s only just given birth to her third child, it probably won’t be long before the pair start trying for another little one as they’d like to have a big family.
She said previously: “James is one of four, so to him four is the norm. For me one is the norm, but I can see how people get addicted to having babies.
“I would like to keep going and pop out as many as possible – I only wish I’d started having them at a younger age.”

Saara Aalto pushes back wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Saara Aalto has pushed back her wedding.
The ‘X Factor’ runner up – who lost out on the winning title to Matt Terry in last weekend’s show – got engaged to her girlfriend Meri Sopanen in August but they’ve been forced to delay the big day because she’s too busy chasing after a record deal.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “[The wedding] is somewhere in the future not right now, we have some other things to do first…
“I’ve had so many meetings but it’s only been two days so it’s all very confusing at the moment but we’ve had very good meetings and very good plans.”
And, although she’s yet to sign a deal with any big music companies, the Finnish beauty is adamant she’ll manage to snap up a deal when the New Year roles around.
Asked if she’s worried about trailing behind Honey G – who was eliminated from the competition before the final – because she’s bagged a deal with Syco, Saara said: “Honey G went from the competition a few weeks ago so they had time to do that and its only been two days for me. It takes time. After New Year we can see.”
The 29-year-old singer may be putting her singing career before her relationship with Meri but it doesn’t look her partner is too concerned as she was beside her side every week while she was performing on the show and was even willing to put her feelings aside at the final so that Saara’s ex-boyfriend Teemu Roivainen – who she previously dated for nine years – could watch her battle it out with Matt at the weekend.

Lucy Fallon to move in with boyfriend?

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Fallon is looking to buy a house with her new boyfriend.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress only started dating Tom Leech less than a year ago but it seems they’re not wasting any time getting to know one another as they’re looking to move in to a home together between Blackpool and Manchester after Christmas.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “They are looking for a place between Blackpool and Manchester and will have been going out around a year when it is all sorted so it will be a nice way to spend their anniversary.”
However, news that Lucy and Tom are taking their relationship to the next level will no doubt come as a huge blow to her ex-boyfriend Ryan Roberts – who she dated for three years – as she dumped him last year in order to strike up a romance with the hunk.
And the 21-year-old star is no stranger to living with her partners as she and Ryan moved in together last year so that she was closer to the ‘Coronation Street’ set.
The insider explained to the publication: “She moved in Ryan at a time when things were starting to peter out and in hindsight it wasn’t a good idea. She felt lonely and isolated from her family and moved back in with her mum and dad when they split. But now she’s been dating Tom long enough to know he’s the ‘one’.”
Lucy – who is known for playing Bethany Platt in the long-running soap – initially dumped Ryan because she felt she couldn’t handle her then-new-found fame.
A source said at the time: “The reality is that she works massively long hours and then there are a lot of awards ceremonies and other bashes to go to and Ryan is quite a shy bloke and wasn’t into the whole celebrity circuit thing.”

Naomie Harris wants to be Helen Mirren

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomie Harris wants to be Helen Mirren.
The ‘Spectre’ actress worked with the veteran star on the emotional new drama production ‘Collateral Damage’, and the brunette beauty has admitted she was in total awe of her co-star because of her warmth and generosity on set.
Speaking about the 70-year-old legend, she said: “I had one tiny scene with Helen but she is so amazing, she was incredible. It was just a scene where I had to just cry for basically four hours straight, but I wouldn’t have wanted to do it with anyone better but her because she was so supportive, so encouraging, so warm and so down-to-earth, I just thought, ‘I wanna be her’.”

The 40-year-old actress told ITV’s ‘Lorraine’: “I learned a lot, because I don’t have children and I haven’t lost a child before and I haven’t really had any losses in my life and I had to explore all of that. And I found that to be a fascinating journey, so I grew as a result of it. I learnt a hell of a lot.”
Naomi has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in ‘Collateral Beauty’, and she has admitted she is delighted the “tiny movie” is getting so much recognition.
She added: “We’re going to celebrate, it was like a tiny movie with no publicity budget, so it’s incredible it’s done so well.”

Mads Mikkelsen: Villains aren't always dark

OHMYGOSSIP — Mads Mikkelsen thinks villains aren’t always dark characters.
The 50-year-old actor has played a string of murderous psychopaths, such as Kaecilius in ‘Doctor Strange,’ super-villain Le Chiffe in ‘Casino Royale’ and cannibal doctor Hannibal Lecter in TV series ‘Hannibal’, but has claimed that such characters often see beauty in the world and want to make it a better place.
Asked whether it is disturbing playing so many villains, Mads said: “No. Villains are people on a mission who see life in a different kind of way. It’s rarely the villain that is dark. He is looked on as that but a good psychopath rarely goes around thinking that are a dark person. “Hannibal is a fallen angel, he sees beauty where the rest see horror – he wants to make a better world. So it’s not something dark and heavy that you carry back home.”
Mads trained as a gymnast during his formative years and has claimed that his love of fitness and sport has proved useful for his energetic movie roles.
He told Metro newspaper: “There’s a certain stamina you have when you’ve done things like that… I jump on a racing bile or I box or go out and play tennis.
“I’m very much into finding a perfect backhand. Sports are my escape. I forget myself when I play tennis. I can easily play for a couple of hours and not notice.”

Bewitched and Titanic star Bernard Fox dies aged 89

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Titanic’ star Bernard Fox has died aged 89.
The Welsh-born actor – who starred in two movies about the doomed ship 39 years apart – passed away in Van Nuys, California’s Valley Presbyterian Hospital, on Wednesday (14.12.16) after he suffered heart failure, his publicist Harlon Boll has announced.
Fox played blustering colonel Archibald Gracie IV in the 1997 hit blockbuster ‘Titanic’ and delivered the famous line “Iceberg dead ahead, Sir!” in the 1958 biopic ‘A Night To Remember’.
He was in the Royal Navy during World War II before he embarked on an impressive, transatlantic career that spanned movies and television over seven decades and he was famed for playing stiff, upper class type characters.
Fox’s Hollywood resume comprised of hit comedy ‘Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo,’ ‘The Private Eyes,’ ‘Yellowbeard’ and ‘The Mummy’ and true to form, he starred as the womanizing witch doctor Dr. Bombay on the hit ABC series ‘Bewitched’ from 1966-72 and then again in the 1977 sequel ‘Tabitha’.
Speaking about the part, he said previously that he drew inspiration from a man he served under in the army.
He said: “He was the officer in charge of the camp that we were in, and it was an all-male camp, and one evening, I was on duty and we got six Women’s Royal Naval Service arrived to be put up.
“So I went to this officer and said, ‘What shall I do?’ And he said, ‘Oh, I don’t know, give ’em a hot bran mash, some clean straw and bed ’em down for the night.’ And I thought, ‘What a great way to play [Dr. Bombay.]’ And that’s the way I played him.”
Fox left behind his wife of 50 years, Jacqueline, their daughter Amanda and grandchildren David-Mitchel and Samantha.

Sherrie Hewson to return to Coronation Street for steamy affair?

OHMYGOSSIP — Sherrie Hewson wants to return to ‘Coronation Street’ and see her character Maureen Webster have a steamy tryst with recovering alcoholic Peter Barlow.
The 66-year-old actress hasn’t graced the cobbles for five years after her alter ago fled to Germany when she found out her husband Bill (Peter Armitage) had been having an affair with salon owner Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) behind her back.
But it seems an explosive return could be on the cards for Sherrie as she’d love to see Maureen have a fumble with the boozy bad boy because she has a soft spot for Chris Gascoyne, 48, who has played Peter in the long-running soap on/off for 16 years.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Thursday (15.12.16), she said: “I loved it. I don’t think the character finished. I think she could go back. But I’d like her to go back harder as she was a bit of a whimp. She could go back and be really strong and I don’t know, throw Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) out of the garage. Or have an affair with Chris Gascoyne – I know I’m too old for Chris Gascoyne- but I just love him. You never know.”
And it seems it’s not just a ‘Coronation Street’ return Sherrie has on her mind, as she’d also like to rejoin the ‘Loose Women’ panel next year after she left in September.
The blonde star – who is the longest serving panellist on the programme – explained: “I miss the team, I miss the girls so yes I will. I’d love to come back at some point and maybe in the New Year, that would be fabulous. I’d really love to do that.”

Katie Waissel splits with husband

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Waissel has split from her husband.
The ‘X Factor’ reject – who took part in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ over the summer – was to play Princess Jill in a pantomime production of ‘Jack and The Beanstalk’ in Cheshire this weekend, but she’s been forced to pull out in order to grieve after she and her spouse Brian Moote, whom she married last year, called time on their marriage.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Katie and Brian have split, and she is simply too upset to handle the gruelling regime of a pantomime. She’s jetted back to America and has set up home in New York with her dog, Norman. Christmas will be tough on her own, but having to put on a brave face in front of a full house every night would have been tougher. She’s devastated things with Brian haven’t worked out.”
The 30-year-old wannabe singer set tongues wagging earlier this week when she was pictured without her wedding ring while she walked her pet pooch in New York City.
The news that Katie and Brian have gone their separate ways will no doubt come as a shock to their friends and family as they only got married in October 2015.
And the pair seemed very much in love in the summer as they revealed they were hoping to start a family together once Katie’s stint in ‘CBB’ had concluded in August.
She said: “Brian and I are thinking of having babies. I want to get my body pre-baby ready, so good nutrition is vital. I’m such a broody person and can’t wait to be a mum.”
However, Katie is no stranger to giving up on her marriage at the first hurdle as she also divorced her first husband Brad Alphonso in 2012 after just two months.

The Apprentice to return next year?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Apprentice’ has been recommissioned for another series.
Producers of the reality TV show, which has been slammed with criticism this year for the lack of talented contestants hoping to bag Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment, has seemingly been given the go ahead to shoot another installment next year.
Lord Sugar’s trusty aide Claude Littner – who joined the show in 2015 – said: “Unless I get fired, I think there’s every chance! You never know! But I think I’ll be back next year.”
However, the 67-year-old businessman has admitted he doesn’t really like filming the series as he finds it boring watching the contestants all day every day for 12 weeks.
He explained to the Digital Spy: “You can’t really enjoy [filming the show] because I don’t enjoy getting up at four o’clock in the morning – I don’t, I really can’t say that’s enjoyable.
“I don’t really enjoy wandering around with the candidates all day, every day, writing down almost everything that they say, making sure that Lord Sugar is completely up with all the events. It’s quite physically demanding. So it’s only when I look back at the programmes and see how brilliantly it’s been edited and how wonderful the whole production process is that I think, ‘That was fantastic, wasn’t it?’
“You forget the late nights and early mornings and the trauma of watching the candidates make mistakes or coming to wrong decisions. You just look back and see that what you’ve ended up with, which is a really fantastic programme.”
But one aspect of the competition Claude does enjoy is the last stage when he has to grill the semi-finalists on their performances in the tasks and their business plans.
He said: “It’s hard to say I enjoy it… but I do actually enjoy it! I enjoy the mental challenge of actually going through their business plans really, really forensically and trying to see whether they are worth investing in, whether this is a business plan that can actually make a profit. Is it something that’s really going to be worthwhile?”
