Len Goodman explains Will Young clash

OHMYGOSSIP — Len Goodman snapped at Will Young because he talked back to him.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge was not impressed when Will hit back at him after he gave him some feedback on his Salsa earlier in the series and says he would have been less harsh if Will had kept quiet.
Speaking to The Sun, he said: “I told him I would have liked to have seen a bit more Salsa content and he said ‘well there was 24 bars of recognisable’ and I said ‘well I didn’t see it’.
“I then said ‘turn up, keep up and shut up’. I was going to say ‘turn up, keep up and never give up’ because I had that in my head as a line for some time which would have been nice.
“But because he went on like that and I had that little line in my head it ended up as it ended up.”
Will quit the show soon after the clash but Len insists it was not his fault.
He explained: “It was unfortunate that he went the week I said to him he has to ‘turn up, keep up and shut up’.
“But it wasn’t said in a vicious way. I said there wasn’t enough content which really isn’t even a pop at him – it’s a pop at the choreographer.
“I did ask other people if it was because of that he packed it in and I’ve been assured it wasn’t.”
Will shocked the nation when he announced he had quit the ballroom and latin show due to “personal reasons”.
And, despite viewers speculating his on-screen feud with head judge Len over his energetic Salsa had something to do with his decision, Will was adamant his departure was “undramatic”.
He said: “Here’s the thing. I’m absolutely dandy, thanks. It’s all very undramatic, really. I’ve done my statement and others can say what they want to say. I never read what they say anyway. To be a part of ‘Strictly…’ has been a long time ambition of mine. As a performer, a viewer, and a fan of the show, to dance as a contestant was an experience I always hoped for.”

Jean-Christophe Novelli so proud of his 'little fighter'

OHMYGOSSIP — Jean-Christophe Novelli and Michelle Kennedy are so proud of their “little fighter”.
The 55-year-old celebrity chef welcomed his fourth child, Valentino Louis, into the world with his partner Michelle Kennedy, 40, in September and the couple recently revealed that the baby is suffering from Neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer which mostly affects babies and young children.
Speaking about Valentino’s chemotherapy treatment, Michelle told the Daily Mail: “He’s been remarkably strong; stronger than me, stronger than all of us. He is so tiny and helpless, and yet he’s the one who’s going through all this agony.
“It seems to make him sleepy, so he usually drifts off during the chemo. But when they turn the machine off, he opens his eyes and these two tiny tears run down either side of his cheeks. It breaks my heart to see that.”
And Michelle said discovering her son was suffering from cancer was like “being sucked into a black hole”.
She said: “I felt this horrible, cold fear, the sort that comes up through your toes and into your stomach. That’s how you feel when someone tells you your baby has cancer. It just crunches you up and swallows you whole. It’s like being sucked into a black hole.”
The baby is set to finish his treatment before Christmas and will spend the festive season at home with his family.
Jean-Christophe said: “It’s the best present we could have asked for. Until you are going through this yourself, you simply cannot imagine what it will be like. We have both blamed ourselves, wondered if it was something we did or something genetic. But there has never been any cancer in either of our families.”

Bond producers panicking about Daniel Craig

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Bond 25’ producers are panicking because Daniel Craig has not yet decided if he wants to star.
The 48-year-old actor has yet to speak to studio executives about the movie, which is due out in October 2018 and they are worried that it could lead to a delay.
A source told the Daily Mirror: “Daniel and MGM are currently at a stalemate with him having not spoken to them about Bond.
“They have offered a bigger wage deal, and asked about his filming availability to his reps in 2017, but as of yet they have not spoken to Daniel.
“They want ‘Bond 25’ out in October 2018, but currently they have no Bond, film dates or knowledge of when that will change.
“Daniel’s commitment is also a key part of whether Sony Pictures will come in to co-finance the film. So much is hanging in the air – and no-one knows.”
Last year Daniel – who has portrayed 007 in four films beginning with 2006’s ‘Casino Royale’ – said he would “rather slash” wrists than portray the spy again but he appeared to have had a change of heart recently.
Speaking in October, he said: “I’ve got the best job in the world doing Bond. The things I get to do on a Bond movie and the type of work it is, there’s no other job like it.
“If I were to stop doing it – just say – I’d miss it terribly. It’s one of the most thrilling things as an actor you can do.
“I love this job. I get a massive kick out of it. And, if I can keep getting a kick out of it, I will.”
Meanwhile, 31-year-old actor James Norton has been heavily tipped to take over from Daniel as the iconic spy, and while he thinks the speculation is “very flattering”, he hopes Daniel will return to the franchise as he is a huge fan.
He said: “It’s very flattering, but a lot of people are taking the hype too seriously.
“Anyway, I’m a huge fan of Daniel Craig, so I hope he does another one or two.
“It would be a big decision, but at the moment it’s not one I have to make.”

Abbey Clancy's movie dream

OHMYGOSSIP — Abbey Clancy wants her novel to be made into a film – which she can star in.
The 30-year-old model-and-presenter – who has children Sophia, five, and Liberty, 18, with husband Peter Crouch – released ‘Remember My Name’ earlier this year, and would love to see the tale of a young girl’s rise to stardom on the big screen with her favourite actress Jennifer Lawrence in the lead role.
She said: “I’d love it to be a film. But I’d want to be in it. I’d probably play the mean agent.
“I’ll phone Steven Spielberg and pitch it to him… And I’d want Jennifer Lawrence to play the main character, Jess. She’s a favourite of mine.”
Abbey still can’t believe she has written a novel and is stunned whenever she sees it in shops.
She admitted: “I’ve spotted it in shops a few times and it’s really quite mind-blowing. I’m extremely, extremely proud of the book.”
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ winner took inspiration from the show’s famous glitterball trophy when it came to designing the artwork for her book.
She said: “It’s cool – really sparkly. One of my high points was winning ‘Strictly’ and having my glitterball trophy, and the story is all about working hard, rising to fame… I just thought it was the perfect visual.”
Despite her pride in her career, Abbey thinks her greatest achievement is having a family.
Asked her biggest achievement so far, she told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “It has to be my kids. I can’t believe I’m a mum to two beautiful girls.
“Sophia is growing up to be a lovely, lovely girl with a great personality and the baby is incredible too. To be honest, I can’t believe I’ve made them.”

James Norton's big Bond decision

OHMYGOSSIP — James Norton admits accepting the role of James Bond would be a “big decision”.
The 31-year-old actor has been heavily tipped to take over from Daniel Craig as the iconic spy, and while he thinks the speculation is “very flattering”, he insists it isn’t a decision he has to make in the near future.
He said: “It’s very flattering, but a lot of people are taking the hype too seriously.
“Anyway, I’m a huge fan of Daniel Craig, so I hope he does another one or two.
“It would be a big decision, but at the moment it’s not one I have to make.”
James was “apprehensive” about venturing out to Hollywood, but now has a different attitude to trying to make it big Stateside following his recent experiences working on ‘Flatliners’.
He said: “I just filmed a remake of ‘Flatliners’ I was apprehensive about Hollywood because I love London, but I had an amazing experience.”
But if he does make it in Hollywood, James is likely to find even more restrictions on what he can do outside of work for insurance reasons than he does now working on UK TV drama series ‘Grantchester’.
He said: “Someone bought me a parachute jump which I haven’t done yet.
“But I’m not even allowed to cycle to work while we’re filming, so I’m probably not allowed to do the jump either.”
James can see a lot of similarities between himself and his ‘Grantchester’ alter ego, clergyman Sydney.
He told Woman magazine: “We both studied Theology at Cambridge. I have wonderful memories of wandering down the Cam horribly hungover on a Sunday when I was a student and going to sit in The Green Man pub, which we now visit while filming, for a theological debate.”

Lauren Goodger wants an ultrasound on her bum

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger wants to have an ultrasound on her bottom.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star – who makes occasional appearances on the ITVBe show – is determined to prove to fans that her pert derriere is real after she’s endured weeks of fans accusing her of going under the knife to get her bulging bum.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she said when asked if she’d undergo the procedure like Kim Kardashian West, who famously had her natural bum X-rayed to silence critics a few years back: “Yes I would [have the ultrasounds], I’d do it! Why not?”
The 30-year-old beauty has recently overhauled her diet in order to get the figure she’s always wanted and it seems Lauren is now keen to share her advice with fans.
Speaking to her co-star Danielle Armstrong recently in an episode of the show, she said: “In weight training you’ve got to feed your bum. You’ve got to feed your muscles. So I eat loads of protein, protein shakes to build it.
“I don’t care what people say about my bum. It makes me laugh! People will always say something about the way I look – it doesn’t bother me!”
And it’s not just her curvaceous behind that she wants to be nature, as Lauren had her lip fillers removed in June after she was heavily criticised for her plump pout.
She said:”When you’re younger you don’t feel confident in yourself.
“Now I know who I am and feel good about myself – I love how they look now.”
Lauren’s next mission is losing a 21 pounds (one stone) between now and January.
She added: “I’m on a mission to shape up.”
And Lauren will be able to dedicate even more time to lifting weights over Christmas as she revealed she is not allowed to take her beau Joey Morrison a roast dinner on Christmas Day (25.12.16) at HMP Standford Hill where he is behind bars.

Camilla Parker Bowles' niece signs up to The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Camilla Parker Bowles’ niece has signed up to ‘The Jump’.
The Duchess of Cornwall – who is married to the queen’s eldest son Prince Charles – will no doubt be tuning in to watch the forthcoming series of the winter sports show next month after her former husband Andrew’s brother Richard’s daughter Emma was asked by bosses to slip into her thermals and hit the ski slopes in Austria.
Emma told The Sun newspaper: “I am really excited about taking part in ‘The Jump’. I have the ability of a mountain goat and an adrenaline junkie so it’s right up my alley.”
And the former model has wasted no time getting stuck into training as she’s been joining the other contestants at the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
Emma has spent the past few years living in Los Angeles after she flew out there in a bid to launch her career as a presenter on a motoring reality show on a major network.
But things didn’t work out well for the blonde beauty and she gave up on her dreams of a television career and, instead, made a living out of rescuing stray dogs in California.
Although she can’t wait to get stuck in, Emma is no doubt riddled with nerves as last year’s show was responsible for a number of celebrities experiencing life-changing injuries.
The last series saw gymnast Beth Tweddle break her back, ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Mark-Francis Vandelli fracture his ankle and Rebecca Adlington dislocate her shoulder.
The spike in injuries meant bosses were forced to revisit the risky format and discuss whether it was worth bringing it back for another series at the beginning of next year.
However, after bosses managed to persuade a good amount of stars to take part in the forthcoming series, producers were given the go-ahead to do another installment.
The full line up for the forthcoming series is yet to be confirmed but Emma will certainly have stiff competition as she will go up against Lydia Bright, Vogue Williams, Josie Gibson, Spencer Matthews and Louis Smith.

Larry Lamb: Ageing can be frightening

OHMYGOSSIP — Larry Lamb finds ageing “frightening at times”.
The 69-year-old actor says everything changed for him when he turned 65 and admits it was then he realised that the “clock had started ticking”.
He said: “You suddenly realise that you’re not immortal anymore. One minute you’re mortal and then you suddenly realise that you’re not. The clock starts ticking, you get your pension and you know you’re heading towards the end.
“You never used to know where you were heading in life and then it all changes, You begin to feel like an old man and it’s frightening at times.”
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ star is now backing ‘Good Morning Britain’s 1 Million Minutes campaign, which helps support of their elderly neighbours in the run up to Christmas and has spoke of the importance of men being able to meet up and talk as well as women.
Speaking to hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard on the early morning show, he said: “Once we’re all together, men probably talk more than women do. But it’s getting to that stage. We need to give them that little push.”
Larry recently spent time in the Australian jungle and admits his experience helped him “appreciate” his family more.
Asked if his time on the show was how he expected it to be, he added: “Absolutely. To spend three weeks cooking on a fire and having to make sure everything’s ready and in order. And to live an ordered life in what are potentially chaotic circumstances, it’s done me the world of good. More than anything, it’s made me appreciate my family.
“To listen to the chat between everybody there about how they relate to their families. Wayne is a wonderful dad. And Jordan has been parented by amazing people. Those different familial situations I have become aware of with them has just made me understand how lucky I’ve been but just how much more I’ve got to do.”

Tilda Swinton: The planet is a graveyard

OHMYGOSSIP — Tilda Swinton thinks the “planet is a graveyard”.
The 56-year-old actress stars alongside Ralph Fiennes in the drama-comedy movie ‘A Bigger Splash’ – which touches on the refugee crisis – and Tilda has gone one step further than her on-screen co-star, who previously claimed that Europe is a grave.
Asked whether Europe is a grave or obscene, Tilda said: “Certainly. The entire planet is a grave.
“We walk on – and with – the dead. But we also live forward, in a continually renewable birthplace.
“Just as we are all capable of obscene cruelty and barbaric selfishness, at the same time, we – all – have within us the generosity of unconditional kindness and the wisdom and courage of fearless fairness. It’s all about choices.”
However, the actress rubbished the suggestion that wealth and success risk conceit.
She told the Guardian newspaper: “Conceit and delusion are not the exclusive province of the rich, nor is it inevitable that wealth and what is called worldly success necessarily makes for monstrous or a**eholic behaviour and attitudes.
“People are people and all of us have the opportunity to play into those tired old stereotypes just as we are free to ignore them. See above regarding making choices.”
And Tilda admitted that having had time to reflect on the movie’s release over the last year, she is very “proud” of the work.
She shared: “We made it in a kind of fever, very fast – in the eye of the wind – and now that the dust has settled, it’s good to see that chaos bottled in the film from a safe distance. Quicksilver was its material … getting a cork on it was the task.”

Adam Driver mulled over Star Wars: The Force Awakens role for months

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Driver took months to accept the role of Kylo Ren in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.
The 32-year-old actor has admitted that despite the popularity of the franchise, he spent a lengthy period of time deliberating whether to accept the role, which sees him kill the iconic Han Solo.
He said: “That plot came up very quickly as something that would happen. I wanted to think about it for a couple of months, just to make sure [I wanted to be the man who killed Han Solo].
“Not just that but it played a huge part in my thinking – I love Han Solo. But the thing as a whole. The scale of it. It’s a huge franchise.”
Adam revealed that what made him accept the role was knowing that in doing so, it would boost his career, enabling him to pick and choose his roles more freely.
He said: “I can say no to whatever I don’t want to do. The director then becomes the biggest part of it. If I’m lucky enough to get the chance to work with a particular director, then the part I’m playing is kind of secondary.”
Adam has become one of the most in-demand actors since his appearance in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, but admitted recently that he hates watching himself on camera.
He said: “I find it hard to remember what we were doing two years ago. But I also try not to watch anything that I’m in, because it was such a different time when we made it. I try not to have any control over what happens to it afterwards.”

Chris Pratt reveals injuries from Passengers set

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt has revealed the bruises he suffered during the making of ‘Passengers’.
The 37-year-old actor – who plays the lead role in the highly anticipated new sci-fi film alongside co-star Jennifer Lawrence – posted two pictures of his bruised arms to his followers and quizzed them about which stunt from the film caused the injuries.
Chris captioned one of the images: “See #Passengers on Dec. 21st and see if you can spot the stunt that caused these bruises!
Here’s the other side. No rest for the weary. I do (some of) my own stunts. (sic)”
The movie sees Chris and Jennifer wake up 90 years too soon from an induced hibernation on a spaceship and they later fall in love.
During the making of the movie, the Hollywood duo developed a tight bond and Chris previously admitted they landed themselves in trouble for their mischievous on-set behaviour.
He said: “Every once in a while we had to be shushed. We had a lot of fun. We were laughing a lot. She’s [Jennifer] better at switching immediately from goofball mode into serious acting mode, so sometimes I had to kind of shut it down and kind of go inward to get there.
“She just kind of turns it on and off real quick. So yeah, we got in a little trouble – but not too much.
Chris insisted, though, that he wasn’t annoyed by the other cast members because their humour brought balance and “lightness” to the production.
He said: “There’s a lot of big emotional scenes there, and I think to have that levity, to have that playfulness … You can’t be a whole day and go into a day like ‘Today I’m going to hate you,’ and ‘Today I’m going to have a breakdown.’ You can’t go around in that dark cloud all day, so they need this lightness, to have this fun.”

Samia Ghadie 'frustrated' in Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Samia Ghadie gets “frustrated” playing Maria Connor in ‘Coronation Street’.
The 34-year-old actress has been portraying the kind-hearted hairdresser for 16 years but she has admitted, although she enjoys acting out the gripping storylines, she gets sick of her alter ego keep making bad decision and landing herself in hot water.
She explained: “Maria isn’t completely faultless and she frustrates me like you won’t believe. I like her, I love her but I don’t always like her. Some of the storylines I read and I’m frustrated and I’m like, ‘Why are you making another bad decision after another all the time?’ But I guess that’s what makes her fun for me to play.”
Maria has just been cleared of murder after it emerged Caz Hammond (Rhea Bailey) had framed the blonde beauty for the crime by faking her own death, but it seems her life is about to spiral out of control again after the police come down on her for marrying Pablo Duarte (Shai Matheson) so he can stay in the country with his boyfriend.
She said: “It’s a big one because we don’t know if she’s going to get sent down and I think the maximum is 12 months so she could be looking at a year behind bars for it, which is a massively stupidly decision she made to marry Pablo – the Argentinian guy – in her head she was doing the right thing and she was just helping out a mate but obviously you get a prison sentence if you get caught, so it’s not the best decision.”
Samia took some time away from the soap last year so she could give birth to her now-15-month-old son Yves, whom she has with her husband Sylvain Longchambon, and can’t believe how much the little one has grown up over the past few months.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (16.12.16), she said of the youngster: “He loves music. He’s obsessed with our portable speaker. At the weekend, we went away for a few days and in the airport he was putting on a show for everyone.”
Samia also has seven-year-old daughter Freya with her ex-husband Matt Smith.

Tyger Drew Honey wants to do Outnumbered forever

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyger Drew Honey wants to do ‘Outnumbered’ for the “rest of his life.”
The 20-year-old star recently reprised his role as Jake Brockman in the comedy sitcom for a forthcoming festive special on Boxing Day (26.12.16) and he has admitted he loved shooting scenes with his on-screen family – which includes Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner – again that he wishes it was a regular feature on television screens.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “I wish ‘Outnumbered’ was like a soap and we could do it 40 weeks a year and we could do it for the rest of our lives.”
Although it’s unlikely bosses will agree to bring back the show, which hasn’t been on screen since the beginning of 2014, Tyger thinks there is room for another special.
He explained to the publication: “It’s possible we will do another series and more likely that we will do another special in the next year or two.”
However, Tyger hasn’t always had fond memories of his time on the programme as he was heavily bullied at school when he first landed the hilarious role at the age of nine.
He said: “There was jealously and bullying from boys in my class. I stuck out because my name was Tyger and I was on TV. I would come into class and if I’d only had a few scenes in an episode of ‘Outnumbered’ the night before, they would say, ‘I didn’t see you on TV last night.’ They would try to bring me down a notch. They were not physically abusive but I was mercilessly teased for my part in the show.
“It also didn’t help that my parents both worked in the adult entertainment industry, The other kids int he class knew about it but I would try not to let it get to me. However, I did find it upsetting at times.”

Graeme Hawley working on market stall

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ serial killer Graeme Hawley is now working on a market stall.
The 43-year-old actor bowed out of the soap in 2009 when his alter-ego John Stape died after he confessed he’d murdered three other people, and it seems he hasn’t had much work since as he’s now selling jam at a Christmas fair in York.
Taking to their official Facebook account on Wednesday (14.12.16), the owners of The Chilli Jam Man said alongside a photograph of Graeme at their stall: “We thought we had enough scary things on our stall at York…that was until Corrie serial killer John Stape joined us! He’s going to be working on our stall Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so if you’re brave enough to face his menacing stare (and our scary chilli products) then come along and say hello!
“He may even let you go home to your family afterwards… Last date for Christmas orders online is midnight Sunday 18th. York market finishes on the 23rd, then we’re putting the shutters up and getting a months worth of sleep (sic).”
According to The Sun newspaper, Graeme told a customer while he was working on the stall: “It’s better than panto. I’m not the Chilli Jam Man. I’m the Chilli Jam Man’s mate and I’m selling Chill Jam because the Chilli Jam Man’s late.”
Although he’s only covering the stall for a friend who owns the company, standing out in the cold flogging jam is a huge step down for Graeme as he was nominated for Villain of the Year in 2009 at the Soap Awards and then again at the same event in 2011.
However, Graeme – who is married to Elianne Byrne – hasn’t completely waved his acting career goodbye since he quit the ITV soap as he’s made various cameo roles in Channel 4’s mini-series ‘National Treasure’ and has also taken part in stage shows.

Lauren Goodger wants TV reunion with ex Mark Wright

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger wants to reunite with her ex-boyfriend Mark Wright.
The former ‘Only Way Is Essex’ star – who dated the hunk on and off for 11 years – insists there is no bad blood between the pair after their bitter split in 2011 and she would like to see a reunion with her cast mates from the original series of the show.
She said: “How good would it be if we got all the ‘TOWIE’ originals back together? … I just feel like we’ve all moved on from everything. It would be fun to just have a laugh with it. All of that is such old news – there isn’t any bad blood. Not for me personally anyway. I’m cool with everyone. I don’t think [a reunion] would happen but it would be good – just to see what we all look like now compared to back then.”
However, if the 30-year-old television personality – who is dating convicted criminal Joey Harrison – does make a permanent return to the show in the near future, she won’t be discussing her relationship on screen.
She explained to the Mirror Online: “There’s more to me than being in a relationship. I wouldn’t discuss anything like that because it’s not something that would happen. I’m not with somebody that’s in reality TV and I wouldn’t date anyone from ‘TOWIE’ – no offence. I’ve moved on from that.”
Meanwhile, Lauren previously admitted she wants to return to the show so she can disassociate herself from Mark.
Speaking about her brief comeback on the programme, she said: “I was meant to be in this series but couldn’t for personal reasons. But I will be back next series. I said I’d love to come back as Lauren. I’ve always been in a relationship or had drama. I can be one of the girls. There’s a load of things I can do. I can help the others girls.”
