Davina McCall admits she dresses like ‘cougar’

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall has admitted she dresses like a “cougar”.
The TV host, 56, who is current a panellist on ITV’s ‘The Masked Singer’, is dating hairstylist Michael Douglas – who is seven years her junior, and has now played up to her image of an older sexy woman on the series.
On Saturday’s (10.02.24) episode of the name-guessing talent show Davina dresses head to toe in leopard print – prompting host Joel Dommett, 38, to say: “Davina, can I just say you need to show off the whole outfit because it’s absolutely fantastic.
“It’s a whole-body catsuit. Oh Lord! You’re dressed like a ThunderCat.”
Davina replies: “I’m a cougar.”
‘The Masked Singer’ is now at its semi-finals stage, and five contestants are set to whittled down to three.
Davina recently made headlines by saying she fears she is to blame for Donald Trump’s catastrophic US presidency.
The former ‘Big Brother’ presenter says thrusting people into fame on reality shows without them knowing what they’re getting into can be disastrous for them and society.
She said about Trump – who managed to become America’s leader after starring as a judge on ‘The Apprentice’: “I am essentially responsible for Donald Trump. Do you know what, if we pieced it all together, I could be.”
Davina also says she has sleepless nights worrying about reality stars who have struggled to cope since leaving shows such as ‘Big Brother’, which has been rebooted by ITV.
The host, who fronted the show for 11 years during its Channel 4 run, added: “It is one thing to go and do a job that could make you famous. You know what you are getting yourself into and you have to navigate your life after.
“But it is another thing to take 13 or 14 completely normal people from the street and make them famous.”

Amanda Holden dreams of hosting Baftas with Alan Carr

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden wants to co-host the Baftas with her TV sidekick Alan Carr.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge, 52, is currently presenting her and 47-year-old Alan’s home makeover series the ‘Italian Job’, which has reportedly been given the green light for a third series after the duo became a hit doing up homes in Sicily and Tuscany.
Amanda tells The Sun’s TV Magazine, out on Saturday (10.02.24), about their future plans: “We thrive on live telly! The Baftas might be good, but I feel it would be a tough audience.”
Alan, who was also interviewed in the magazine, added: “The Brits would be lovely, but by god I’m too old now.
“There’s a band called Wet Leg, and I’m like, ‘Why would you call yourself Wet Leg, love?’”
Amanda is famous for sharing her saucy home life, and has admitted she cooks naked in front of her family – despite being unhappy with her rear.
Amanda – whose racy dresses on ‘BGT’ have sparked hundreds of complaints to broadcast watchdog Ofcom for being “too revealing” – told the Daily Mail about how she coked a Sunday roast in her birthday suit: “I was quite literally the Naked Chef. I got out of the shower, realised I was running late to get everything on the table so I didn’t bother to get dressed.
“I just raced downstairs, got the potatoes on, the meat in the oven and my veggie option. It definitely made it more interesting.”
But Amanda’s domestic nudity has made her realise she needs to work on her exercise regime.
She added at the time: “My bottom isn’t looking so great at the moment because I’ve slacked off in lockdown.
“I’m an outdoor exerciser – I like yoga and running but it’s been too cold.”

Kaleb Cooper admits ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ fame was ‘unexpected’: ‘I just turn up to work to do my job’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kaleb Cooper “didn’t know what to expect” when he started filming ‘Clarkson’s Farm’.
The 25-year-old farmer found TV stardom when he became Jeremy Clarkson’s sidekick on Amazon Prime series ‘Clarkson’s Farm’, which follows the former ‘Top Gear’ host and his team as they build the Diddly Squat farm in the Cotswolds- and explained that he simply turns up to work to do his day job and believes the success of the show lies within the friendships seen on screen.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he told stand-in host Christine Lampard: “I didn’t know what to expect, to be honest, I’m not an actor, I’m not on television and I’m just being for myself. That works for me because I just turn up to work, do my day-to-day job and get filmed while doing it. I didn’t know what to fully expect when we started but it turned out to be a great success and hopefully, we’re highlighting the farming industry. I think we work really well together, we’re good friends on and off camera. Yes, we argue quite a bit but if we argue one minute then two minutes later we’re fine!”
Kaleb – who is touring the UK with his show ‘The World According To Kaleb’ at various theatres in February and March – is known for his love-hate relationship on screen with Jeremy and joked that his co-star is “slowly getting there” in terms of skills on the farm but revealed that he has suffered significant hair loss since teaming up with Jeremy for the show.
He added: “He’s slowly getting there and I’m not going to say he’s the best because it hurts to say anything good about him but since working with him I’ve lost 34.4 percent of my hair. Very precise.
“Unfortunately, actually, I’ve got a hair section on my tour, when we were filming series two of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’, we were filming in the restaurant and as I had the perm, it was so dry and I didn’t have time to moisturise it and therefore it statred cracking off so I went back to this cut to hopefully play it safe and grow it back, but who knows?”

Will Mellor almost quit acting just ONE DAY before the call came for hit ITV Post Office drama

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Mellor almost quit acting before he was cast in ‘Mr. Bates vs the Post Office’.
The 47-year-old actor has been a regular face on British television since he was cast alongside hit BBC sitcom Sheridan Smith in ‘Two Pints of Lager in a Packet of Crisps’ in 2001 but admitted that he was on the verge of giving it all up when he got the call to star as subpostmaster Lee Castletone in the ITV1 drama based on the Post Office scandal which saw hundreds of subpostmasters wrongly accused of fraud because of a faulty system.
Speaking on his ‘Two Pints of Will and Ralf’ podcast, Will – who is married to dancer Michelle McSween – explained: “The day before I got the phone call from my agent about Mr Bates I was gonna give it up. I swear on my life. I said to my missus, ‘I don’t think I want to keep acting. It’s just not happening’. I’m hosting this thing called Cops Gone Bad and was thinking I might go down that route and do more presenting factual stuff.”
But the former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant – who also plays drug lord Harvey Gaskell in ‘Coronation Street’ – explained that after pulling in more than 20 million viewers and propelling the search for justice for real-life victims of the scandal,, ‘Mr Bates vs the Post Office’ has become the “biggest drama” in a decade and could never have imagined its success.
He said: “It’s been the biggest drama I’ve ever done and the biggest drama of the last 10 years. You don’t know what tomorrow is going to bring, so don’t give up. We knew people would talk about it because it was a true story. But you could not even imagine how big it’s gone.”

Michelle Collins had to learn from Barbara Windsor that her EastEnders character had been ‘killed off’

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Collins had to learn from Dame Barbara Windsor that her ‘EastEnders’ character had supposedly been killed off.
The 61-year-old actress made a shock return to her role as Cindy Beale on the BBC One soap opera in 2023 when it turned out that her character had not died in prison as originally claimed and had instead been in witness protection for nearly 25 years but recalled finding out from her late co-star Barbara – who played Peggy Mitchell – that she had been killed off at all when she informed her she had been filming scenes for the funeral.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, she said: “It’s soap, isn’t it? Aren’t we kind of allowed? I never thought I would ever, ever go back. She died off-screen, so I was okay because I was kind of sunning myself filming ‘Sunburn’ and Barbara Windsor told me she’d been to Cindy’s funeral! And I didn’t even know she’d died, you’d think they might have told me!”
Michelle – who went on to star in a number of television dramas and played Rovers Return landlady Stella Price in rival soap opera ‘Coronation Street’ during the early 2010s – explained that she is “very, very different” these days and there have also been major changes production since her initial stint.
She added: “It was about 25 years [until I went back]. I was in my thirties when I left and now I’m like 61. I’m a very, very different person these days. There are only four cast members left [from the first episode], Steve McFadden, Gillian Taylforth, Letitia Dean and Adam Woodyatt. That’s it. There are some crew which are still there, which is lovely. But it has changed. Huge cast, 46 or 57 now, I think when I was there there was probably 25. We do four a week, whereas in those days it was two a week. There’s still people now I’ve not done any scenes with, I just see some people in the green room but you don’t see them all the time.”
Michelle added that she was ultimately inspired to go back to the role because she feels she still has “a lot more to give” in a world where she feels there is little “visibility” for older women in the industry.
She said: “I think soaps have always had great matriarchal figures like back to the days of Pat Phoenix in ‘Coronation Street’ – sorry to mention the other one – Angie…Anita Dobson…in ‘EastEnders’, Pauline Fowler, they had great storylines. For me, it was a big decision to go back but I thought about roles for older women. Where is that visibility for women of a certain age? We’ve still got a lot more to give as women, as an actress. ”

Kate Garraway cried before Good Morning Britain return

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway was “in tears” before her return to ‘Good Morning Britain’.
The 56-year-old presenter appeared via video chat earlier this week following the death of her husband Derek Draper, who died aged 56 last month almost four years after first contracting COVID-19.
On Thursday (08.02.24), she was back as an anchor alongside Ben Shephard on the ITV breakfast show, and admitted it felt “odd”.
She said: “It’s lovely to be back here. It’s odd, I feel very weird. The makeup girls had me in tears this morning just by saying hello.”
Kate revealed she had “some lovely hugs today” before going on air, and thanked everyone for their support days after Derek’s funeral last week.
She added: “Thank you to all of you at home as well. You have been incredible. I keep saying, just treat me normally, everyone realises they don’t know how to anymore.”
Her friend and co-star Ben described her husband’s funeral as “extaordinary”, and a “real celebration” of his life.
Kate explained she “wanted to make it about Derek” rather than herself, before joking: “That changes this morning, it’s back to me.”
The presenter – who has kids Billy, 14, and Darcey, 17, with Derek – also thanked the ‘GMB’ team and viewers for the way they’ve helped her through.
She said: “[It’s been] lovely to feel so much love from everyone here.”
And Ben admitted people have even been getting in touch with him to see how he’s coping given their friendship, as he described it as a “sense of collective connection”.
Appearing on ‘GMB’ earlier this week, Kate chatted to Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid and recalled the “brave” words her daughter Darcey had for Derek before he died.
She revealed: “Darcey said, ‘Dad if you can’t do this we’ll be okay, you release yourself if you need to go. Don’t worry about us’.
“I thought that was brave.”

Amanda Holden breaks major Britain’s Got Talent rule

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Holden broke a major ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ rule during recent auditions.
The 52-year-old star took a page out of Bruno Tonioli’s book by repeating one of his big mistakes from his first spell on the judging panel last year.
As reported by The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column, Amanda loved an outrageous comedy act in Manchester so much that she hit her Golden Buzzer to send him straight through to the ITV talent show’s semi finals.
However, despite the fact the buzzer is only meant to be used once per judge, she had already hit it for a musical theatre singer during a previous audition.
Her second Golden Buzzer performer caused quite the stir, as the Japanese man did impressions using his hair.
Thankfully, bosses were more relaxed about the rules being bent after Bruno’s cheeky behaviour in 2023.
This time round, there has been some chaos with the buzzers after Simon Cowell, Bruno and Amanda sent three acts through to the lives shows within the first 20 auditions.
A source told the newspaper: “Bruno was almost moved to tears watching his golden buzzer dance act – and was first to slam down on the button so hard that it cracked.
“He was shortly followed by Simon, who sent a Japanese dance act through to the live shows.
“And finally, Amanda was impressed by a female theatre singer that she was keen to give a shot in the live rounds and was last to press the buzzer.”
There could be good news for Amanda and Bruno, after Simon suggested the one buzzer rule may have been scrapped as they look to embrace the madness.
He told the crowd at the London auditions: “I’m very excited, we don’t know who is going to come on and we’ll meet people together.
“This year there’s just one rule: be as naughty as you want.”

‘I wanted to change everything’: Kingsley Ben-Adir hated Bob Marley look at first

OHMYGOSSIP — Kingsley Ben-Adir “wanted to change everything” after first transforming into Bob Marley.
The 37-year-old actor stars as the legendary reggae artist in the biopic ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ and has revealed he “felt stressed” when he first stepped onto set in full costume complete with dreadlocks.
Speaking to Variety at the movie’s Los Angeles premiere on Tuesday (06.02.24), he said: “Do you want an honest answer? I felt stressed. I wanted to change everything… I was pulling it up and messing it up.
“You know, it was a process, so I took a while to ease in.”
Kingsley had to prepare for the biopic while on the set of ‘Barbie’ – in which he played the role of Basketball Ken – but didn’t find it challenging to differentiate between the two parts.
He said: “No, no, no. When there’s too much work, I like it. I sort of get into a frenzy.”
Bob’s eldest son Ziggy Marley is a producer on the film and recognised that Kingsley had the qualities needed to portray the ‘Three Little Birds’ hitmaker – who passed away from cancer at the age of 36 in 1981.
Ziggy said: “There’s a voice inside of you what tell you the truth. You have to listen to that, and that was Kingsley.”
The movie is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who recently described the reggae icon as “the most recognisable face on the planet” after Jesus.
Speaking to Empire magazine, the filmmaker said: “After Jesus, he’s probably the most recognisable face on the planet!
“Bob is uniquely universal. But I still felt like I didn’t really know him, and that few people really do.”

Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell to star in A Big Bold Beautiful Journey

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell have been cast in ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’.
The pair are attached to star in the movie that is being directed by the South Korean filmmaker Kogonada from an original script by ‘The Menu’ screenwriter Seth Reiss.
Plot details for the film are being kept under wraps, but the picture is described as an imaginative tale of two strangers and the unbelievable journey that connects the duo.
Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Ryan Friedkin are producing the film for Imperative Entertainment alongside Reiss and Youree Henley. Kogonada is an executive producer with Ilene Feldman and Ori Eisen.
The movie is shooting this spring in California.
Margot heads into the project off the back of the success of last year’s smash-hit blockbuster ‘Barbie’ – in which she played the lead role.
However, the Australian actress and director Greta Gerwig were controversially snubbed in the Oscar nominations although Margot insisted that she was “not sad” about the lack of recognition.
Margot, 33, said at a SAG screening of ‘Barbie’: “There’s no way to feel sad when you know you’re this blessed. Obviously I think Greta should be nominated as a director, because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing, what she pulled off, it really is. But it’s been an incredible year for all the films.”
‘Barbie’ has pulled in over $1 billion at the box office since being released last July and Margot speculated that the reaction to the flick has become “bigger” than the movie industry itself.
The ‘Babylon’ star said: “I just suspect it’s bigger than us. It’s bigger than this movie, it’s bigger than our industry.”

ITVX announces huge plans for James Bond series

OHMYGOSSIP — ITVX has secured the streaming rights to 25 of the ‘James Bond’ films.
The UK broadcaster will air six movies from the famous spy series on ITV4 over a week in early March from every lead actor’s time in the starring role and 25 of the thrillers will then be made available on its in-house on-demand service after the corporation struck a deal with Amazon MGM studios which marks the first time that the 007 movies have been put on an ad-supported streaming platform.
Commenting on the agreement, Darren Nartey, Senior Acquisitions Manager, Films and Kids said: ‘It doesn’t get any more iconic than James Bond and we are honoured to bring this fantastic catalogue of films to our viewers both on our linear channels and via catch-up on ITVX. Now where is my martini…”
The first film to air on ITV4 will be the 1964 classic ‘Goldfinger’ – which stars Sean Connery as Bond – on Monday 4 March, and will be followed by ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’, ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’, ‘Licence to Kill’, ‘GoldenEye’ and ‘Skyfall’ on the nights that follow throughout the week.
The series will also offer ITVX viewers a range of additional content to enjoy including feature-length documentaries ‘Everything Or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007’, and ‘Being James Bond: The Daniel Craig Story’, which will follow the journey of the latest Hollywood star to have been at the centre of the franchise.
The collection of the 25 official Bond films is scheduled to air multiple times a year on ITV channels and each time a film airs, it will be available to stream for up to 30 days following its initial transmission.

Angela Griffin speaks out on social media reaction to Waterloo Road return

OHMYGOSSIP — Angela Griffin is considered to be “cool” by her daughter’s friends because she is in ‘Waterloo Road’.
The 47-year-old actress – who has Tallulah, 19, and 16-year-old Melissa with husband Jason Milligan – played art teacher Kim Campbell in the original run of the hit BBC One drama series before her character came back as headteacher when the show was revived in 2020 and Angela admitted as well as impressing her daughter’s friends, she loves seeing the reaction on social media when a new batch of episodes has been released.
She told Inside Soap: “Massively and, hand on heart, not one negative. Every person, young or old, I’ve spoken to has been really excited about the new Waterloo Road – including the original fans who watched it first time round, who’ve started having kids of their own. And this whole new audience. My girls are 16 and 19, and their friends think I’m cool! I’m so massively proud of it.
” I love my social media about 4pm when the superfans have woken up and just sat and watched the full eight hours. I don’t think they have toilet breaks! I love those fans. I think they’re brilliant.”
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress played Kim throughout the first two series of the show and her character had an on/off relationship with former private school teacher Andrew Treneman (Jamie Glover) before the pair embarked on a sabbatical to Rwanda.
When she returned alone at the end of series four, Kim brought with her a baby from an impoverished Rwandan family whom she had smuggled through customs but her actions were quickly found out and the little one was taken away from her.
Kim returned at the start of the next series to resume her teaching duties and left again when she ended up pregnant by superhead Max Tyler (Tom Chambers) but by the time the show was revamped, it was revealed that her son had died of a sudden illness.
As the new headteacher of the fictional Manchester comprehensive, Angela explained that in real life such a position is a “thankless task” and wishes she could give her alter-ego some advices but is aware that everything would probably go wrong anyway.
She said: “I do, but it’s a thankless task. If you haven’t got these members of staff within schools who are willing to go above and beyond for very little, where would our kids be? As her mate, I probably would give her advice, but I wouldn’t want her to take it because we’d all go to hell in a handcart!”

Paul Chuckle tries to contact brother Barry’s ghost

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Chuckle has tried to contact the ghost of his late brother Barry.
The 76-year-old star formed the Chuckle Brothers with his real life sibling Barry, who died in 2018 aged 73 after being diagnosed with bone cancer, and he can still feel his presence.
In a bid to contact Barry while also getting to the bottom of spooky occurrences at his home, he turned to the ‘Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted’ team for a paranormal investigation.
In a new episode of the Discovery+ show, Paul reveals how he has experienced plenty of scary and unexplainable events since moving into the Nottinghamshire home 18 months ago.
At one point, the team are trying to find a spirit in the house, and investigator Barri Ghai says: “You can ask if Barry’s here.”
Paul asks: “Barry, are you here today? To me, Barry. To me. To you, then.”
The pair wait for a response, while Paul opens up about other paranormal activity early in the episode.
As well as “a few creaks and noises”, he and his wife Sue have heard noises “like there is a toilet flushing somewhere in the house” depsite just the two of them living there.
They have also seen childlike handprints on walls, and heard the faint sounds of footsteps.
Paul explains: “We hadn’t had any kids here, and up to then there had never been anything on that wall. It sort of made me feel a little bit spooky then; where has it come from?”
Once, in the middle of the night, he awoke and “could have sworn there was a little kid at the foot of the bed”.
He adds: ““I opened my eyes again and it had gone. That was the most eerie thing I’ve had here. That was awful, I hardly slept all night!”
Other houseguests have seen similar figures, and Paul admits he often feels Barry’s presence with him, ever since performing solo on stage for the first time.
He recalls: “Barry passed away in 2018. I’d never been on stage on my own before, and I swear I saw him appear there, and he put the thumbs up. And I went on stage, and I was fine after that.”
The brand-new series of Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted is available to stream now exclusively on discovery+.

Romesh Ranganathan and his mum are filming new ITV quiz show

OHMYGOSSIP — Romesh Ranganathan and his mum are working on a new primetime ITV quiz show.
The ‘Weakest Link’ host and mum Shanthi have worked together on a number of TV projects in the past, and they are once again joining forces on new comedy programme ‘Parent Guidance’.
The show will film its pilot in London next month, as contestants place their fortunes “in the hands of those supposed to know them best … their parents”.
Producers have teased: “It won’t just be the players’ general knowledge getting scrutinised – keeping a watchful eye and putting Romesh in his place will be his own mum Shanthi.”
Last year, several non-broadcast runthroughs were held in London, and the show will be filmed at Versa London Studios on March 1.
People hoping to get a sneak peak can apply for free audience tickets via SRO Audiences.
Shanti has appeared with Romesh in five seasons of BBC Two topical comedy show ‘The Ranganation’, as well as travelogue ‘Asian Provocateur’.
She’s also joined him on various panel shows, including ‘QI’, ‘A League of Their Own’ and more.
Romesh previously piloted ‘Parental Guidance’ as a sitcom for BBC Radio 2, and even developed it into a programme for BBC One.
Although that version never went past the idea stage, he was set to star alongside Guz Khan and Amanda Abbington.
Meanwhile, the show also shares a name with his ‘Romantic Getaway’ co-star Katherine Ryan’s documentary series ‘Parental Guidance’, which launched on the W channel this week.
Romesh recently revealed his jokes have got him in trouble with other children’s parents at school, after he offended them with some of his dry quips.
He told ‘This Morning’: “I have got into trouble in the past, when I go to drop the kids off at soft play, parents come and talk to me and I have said on stage, ‘I don’t care about other people’s children, I’m just there for mine’.
“And then I went to a kid’s birthday party and these parents came up and said, ‘we’d tell you how we were doing Romesh, but you clearly don’t care.’ ”

‘I’ve done it now’: Rebecca Ferguson was satisfied with Mission: Impossible exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Rebecca Ferguson felt it was the right time to leave the ‘Mission: Impossible’ franchise.
The 40-year-old actress played the role of Ilsa Faust in the Tom Cruise-led movies but was killed off in last year’s flick ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ and she believed that it was a natural end for her alter ego.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about a possible return from the grave, Rebecca said: “Well, I mean, sometimes those three-picture deals you have in Hollywood, they end, and actors have the possibility of saying no.
“And we were at that point. ‘Mission’ is such a huge dedication, and I’ve done it now, and it’s fantastic. And it’s amazing, and McQ [Christopher McQuarrie] and Tom wrote this incredible character.
“There’s just that much you can do with a character, I find, and I’m entitled to my own opinion on this too.
“I want her to go rogue. I’m interested in the dark side, I don’t want to be a team member, I’m not interested in that. And I felt like that was where we were headed.
“It takes a long time to make ‘Mission’ too. It is blood, sweat and tears doing those.
“Since I finished, I’ve done a TV show and two movies, and they’re still doing [the same] ‘Mission’ but, you never know.”
The Swedish actress is set to reprise her role as Lady Jessica in the forthcoming sci-fi epic ‘Dune: Part Two’ and has given fans a hint of what they can expect from the sequel.
Rebecca told Screen Rant: “I think what’s interesting is — we’re not going to talk about Paul’s journey because that’s Timothee’s job, but the spiritual and emotional journey that they go through goes hand in hand.
“The journey that he needs to go through is a similar one that Lady Jessica needs to go through. And they do it completely differently, but end up sort of at the same place anyway. So it’s a spiritual, physical [metamorphosis].”

Charlene White feels ‘lucky’ to be a part of Loose Women: ‘We care a lot about each other!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlene White feels “lucky” to be a part of ‘Loose Women’.
The 43-year-old newsreader replaced long-serving anchor Andrea McLean on the ITV1 lunchtime chat show in 2020 and is regularly seen debating current issues and interviewing celebrities alongside the likes of former ‘Coronation Street’ star Denise Welch, broadcast legend Janet Street-Porter and singer Coleen Nolan in what she describes as a job full of “joy and laughter”.
She told Mirror Online: “It’s a bunch of mates having a laugh. A lot of times they cut back to the studio after an ad break and we’re all still laughing… I’m lucky to work with an incredible bunch of women.
“We all have fun… Every morning we have our meeting together, it’s a room full of joy and laughter… It’s a room full of friendship and a room full of compassion, we care a lot about each other.”
In recent months, several new faces have joined the panel including model Christine McGuinness, former ‘Love Islan’ star Olivia Attwood, and Sue Cleaver, who appeared alongside Charlene in the 2022 edition of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’
Charlene was particularly pleased that her former fellow campmate Sue – who is best known for having starred as Eileen Grimshaw on ‘Coronation Street’ for almost 25 years – had joined the lineup because she’d suggested to her at the time that she would be a perfect fit for the panel.
She told Woman’s Own: “When we came out of the jungle a year ago, I said to Sue, ‘I think you will fly if you join our Loose Women panel,’ and look at her now. She’s on tomorrow as a panellist and she fills in every now and then, which is incredible.
“I feel like I work with some of the best women in the business who I learn from every single day. And what’s amazing is, we’re always inserting people to our stable, which means we’re learning so much about each other, and they’re still learning about us. I think what we do is brilliant and I’m really proud of what we do every day.”
