Dev Patel cried over Lion

OHMYGOSSIP — Dev Patel “cried” when he got the script for ‘Lion’.
The 26-year-old actor stars as Saroo Brierley in the real life drama, a young Indian boy who is separated from his brother and mother when he ends up 1,000 miles away from his home in a Calcutta train station, and he was determined to do the movie justice as he was so moved by the tale.
He said: “I was crying when I read the script and I haven’t done that before ever while I was reading something.
“You want to do justice to such a beautiful piece of work.”
The movie has attracted comparisons to Dev’s breakout movie, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, but he insists they are “completely different”.
He told Total Film magazine: “It’s really easy to compare it to ‘Slumdog’ when you’re dealing with a young boy in a situation of poverty from the beginning, but apart from that, thematically and tonally, the films are completely different.
“‘Slumdog’ had a kind of frenetic energy about it and a pacing, and this film is a sweeping story with these two pillars on each end, played by Priyanka [Bose] and Nicole [Kidman].”
The 26-year-old actor got to spend time with the real Saroo, but doesn’t think they are very similar.
He laughed: “He’s a lot cooler than me. He’s beautifully smart and opportunistic.
“The fact that such a young child could survive such an ordeal… I remember being separated from my mother at a supermarket in London. I was looking at toys.
“She was there one second, I turned away and she was gone. It was five minutes, it felt like five hours. I was panicking.
“This is me in London, at home. Until that voice came on, ‘Dev Patel, come to checkout number five’, I was crying.
“You just imagine what this young boy went through and how long he was alone for. It’s a real tale of survival.”

John Williams has never watched a Star Wars movie

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Star Wars’ composer John Williams has never seen any of the films in the sci-fi series.
The Academy Award-winning composer is responsible for numerous scores in the franchise, but has admitted he has never taken the time to watch one of the movies.
John explained: “I let it go. I have not looked at the ‘Star Wars’ films and that’s absolutely true.
“When I’m finished with a film, I’ve been living with it, we’ve been dubbing it, recording to it, and so on. You walk out of the studio and ‘Ah, it’s finished’.”
Despite being among the most in-demand composers in the business, John said he doesn’t “want to listen to music or see films”.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Now I don’t have an impulse to go to the theatre and look at it. Maybe some people find that weird, or listen to recordings of my music very, very rarely.
“I’m not particularly proud of that, I have to say, but it’s also part of the fact that I finished ‘Star Wars’ now and I’m already working on Spielberg’s new film and I don’t want to listen to music or see films.”
John’s scores helped to elevate the original ‘Star Wars’ movies to iconic status, but he thinks that his work was “not very memorable”.
Although, he shared: “It’s probably the most popular music that I’ve done.”
The latest movie in the franchise, ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, sees British actress Felicity Jones assume the central role of Rebel fighter Jyn Erso.
And Felicity recently revealed that she sought inspiration for her character from pop star Beyonce.
She explained: “I think she’s someone who has incredible power and is devoted to what she does, but she also seems like a very nice person. I think that’s very important to emulate …
“Particularly when I’m doing these scenes, I get really into it. When I’d get home, I wouldn’t even realise. I think the adrenaline is pumping around your body so much. Then you get home and you’re suddenly like, ‘Wow, I’ve got quite a few bruises going on here.'”

Ed Balls 'didn't know' about spray tans before 'Strictly Come Dancing'

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Balls “didn’t know” spray tans existed until he took part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 49-year-old politician competed on this year’s Latin and ballroom dance competition with professional dance partner Katya Jones, and was amazed to find out that “tan out of a bottle” was something that people can buy, as he thought fake tans were done solely through sun beds.
He said: “Probably my biggest surprise of 2016 was to discover that people really do have spray tans. I knew about sunbeds but I didn’t know you could actually get a tan out of a bottle, or that it would feel so cold and tingly.”
The former shadow chancellor also said the best way to face his ‘Strictly…’ fears was to “throw” himself into every performance, as he found it “exhilarating and liberating.”
He said: “To throw yourself fully into a performance is frightening, exhilarating and liberating. Unlike when I started my ‘Strictly’ journey with a cautious waltz, Katya and I will be going all out from the start on the ‘Strictly’ tour next year.”
And despite being kicked out of the BBC talent show, Ed says his “biggest disappointment” of the year was his football team – Norwich City – having a tough season.
He added: “Politics aside, my biggest disappointment was my football team Norwich City being relegated from the Premier League. I am the club chairman and we all felt we let our supporters down.”
Meanwhile, Ed believes ‘Strictly’ has taught him a lot about how to dance.
He told Grazia magazine: “Contrary to my previous ‘Dad-style’, is as much about the bits of your body you don’t move as the bits you do.”

Zendaya: Spider-Man: Homecoming will be 'fun'

OHMYGOSSIP — Zendaya says ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ will be “a lot of fun”.
The 20-year-old actress is set to take on the role of Mary Jane Watson – Spider-Man’s love interest – in the hotly anticipated movie, and whilst she is reluctant to give too many details about the project away, she has promised audiences it will be “very exciting”.
Speaking on US news show ‘Good Morning America’, Zendaya said: “It’s very exciting. I mean, I can’t say anything because I’m not going to get in trouble. I’m not going to be that person that gets in trouble, but I can say its going to be a lot, a lot of fun.”
But the beauty is doing all she can to keep details about the project top secret, as she says she’s in a “very tight situation” about what she can and can’t say.
She added: “It’s a very tight situation. They can’t let anything out, it’s ‘Spider-Man’ you know, so again not getting in trouble.”
Previously, the choice to cast Zendaya had been slammed by fans of the franchise because of the colour of her skin, prompting comic book legend Stan Lee to defend the decision.
He said: “If she is as good an actress as I hear she is, I think she’ll be absolutely wonderful. The colour of their skin doesn’t matter, their religion doesn’t matter, all that matters is that this is the right person for the role …
“In the ‘Daredevil’ movie, the Kingpin – who had been white in the comics – he was a black man playing the role, and he played it beautifully.”
Meanwhile, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn also praised the casting in a Facebook post.
He wrote: “For me, if a character’s primary attribute – the thing that makes them iconic – is the color of their skin, or their hair color, frankly, that character is shallow and sucks. For me, what makes MJ MJ is her alpha female playfulness, and if the actress captures that, then she’ll work. And, for the record, I think Zendaya even matches what I think of as MJ’s primary physical characteristics – she’s a tall, thin model – much more so than actresses have in the past.
“Whatever the case, if we’re going to continue to make movies based on the almost all white heroes and supporting characters from the comics of the last century, we’re going to have to get used to them being more reflective of our diverse present world. Perhaps we can be open to the idea that, although someone may not initially match how we personally conceive a character, we can be – and often are – happily surprised. (sic)”

Suki Waterhouse joins Assassination Nation cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Suki Waterhouse has joined the cast of ‘Assassination Nation’.
The 24-year-old model and actress will star alongside Odessa Young, Hari Nef and Abra in the thriller about four teenagers whose personal information is leaked by a mystery hacker.
Foxtail Entertainment co-founders and partners Matthew Malek and Anita Gou said: “Odessa, Hari, Abra and Suki are great, rising talents who all come from different backgrounds and collectively make up a cast that is young, diverse and powerful – all things we want this film to reflect. What attracted both of us to the project was its bold depiction of teenagers, not as vapid or distracted but rather engaged and determined to navigate the complexities of this new world. It tackles issues of shaming, mob mentality, vigilantism, and righteousness.”
Sam Levinson has written the screenplay and will also direct the movie while producers include Kevin Turen and David Goyer.
David said: “Sam’s script is a brilliant and wild piece of social satire. Essentially, ‘The Crucible’ for the Snapchat generation. We are thrilled to help him realise it as a film.”
The movie is set to begin filming in Louisiana in 2017.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Suki will star opposite Ansel Elgort in ‘Jonathan’.
The movie – which has begun shooting, sees an ordinary guy leave his office job at noon every day to go home to sleep. When he wakes up, breakfast is waiting along with a video telling him about the second part of his day when his twin brother has taken over.
Chaos ensues when Jonathan discovers John – both of whom are played by 22-year-old Ansel – has fallen in love with Elena (Suki), so he seeks the help of controlling doctor Mina Nariman (Patricia Clarkson) as he takes matters into his own hands.
Director Bill Oliver has also written the script, along with Peter Nickowitz and Gregory Davis.

Danniella Westbrook loses teeth whitening job

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook has lost her teeth whitening job.
The 43-year-old actress was let go from Lip Couture in Liverpool because of her lack of personal hygiene after she allegedly left bloodied tissues around the salon that she used to wipe up her fragile septum, which famously collapsed in 2000 due to her excessive use of cocaine, according to the shop’s owner Nicole Francis.
The beautician also claimed the former ‘EastEnders’ star – who quite regularly rocked up to set of the BBC One soap when she made a brief return earlier this year a few hours after her scheduled time – was late on her first day.
Nicole told The Sun Online: “Unfortunately day one of her starting the business she turned up late and was all over the place.
“She left tissues on the side with blood and anything else coming out of her nose in a clinical room, so I said to cover it for hygiene purposes!”
However, Nicole is adamant Danniella’s look had nothing to do with her getting the sack and she would be open to working with her again in the future.
She explained: “This was the only reason we did not go ahead with the treatment. It was the hygiene element and nothing to do with her appearance.
“I still count Danniella as a friend, and I wish her well, especially at this time of year. I also hope we can work together in the future.”
Danniella hit the headlines earlier this week after it was revealed she was homeless because she had been unable to keep up with her rent but it seems there could be light at the end of the tunnel as her former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ co-star John Partridge has reached out to her and asked her to get in touch with him if she’s in trouble.
The 45-year-old actor said: “I mean I love Danniella. It’s terrible to hear that and if Danniella sees this or reads this and she needs something then she should get in touch. I’m her friend, I’ve worked with her and I know her.
“I feel desperately desperately sorry for her. How do you help somebody? It’s so difficult to know the right thing to do, but I want her to know if she needs anything then get in touch with me. She’s so vulnerable.”
Danniella has been staying “here there and everywhere” in recent weeks after she was turfed out of her home but is said to be looking for a house up North.
A source said: “She’s been busy viewing but hasn’t found her new home. Obviously timing isn’t great with it being so close to Christmas but she isn’t rushing into anything and is staying with friends and family over the festive period.
“Danniella now has a whole new team around her after spending a lot of 2016 surrounded by toxic people.”

Scotty T quits panto over wages

OHMYGOSSIP — Scotty T has quit his pantomime role following a row over his wages.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ hunk has pulled out of playing Prince Charming in the theatre stage show of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ in Leeds because, he has claimed, he has only received 10 per cent of his fee from the production company.
Taking to his Twitter account on Tuesday (20.12.16), the 28-year-old star apologised to his fans for withdrawing from the show before referring to the firm as a “scam.”
He wrote: “In my view, this whole production has been a scam with no funds for wages from day one and false promises delivered from the directors about funds.
“I would like to apologise to everyone who has purchased tickets for the event and I’m so sorry that I will no longer be a part of this performance. I am sad that I have not been able to finish my commitment to the rest of the cast. I apologise to anyone who was hoping to see me in the performance, but I hope you understand my reasons (sic)”
Scotty T – whose real name is Scott Timlin – has also claimed he lent the firm White Rose Productions Company “over £7000 to cover accommodation and flooring for the venue” and they had no method in place for a way to pay him back for the loan.
However, it seems not everyone was impressed with the reality TV star’s performance anyway as some people have taken to social media to blast him for his acting skills.
One fan called Katie Rose O’Brien wrote: “Scotty T in panto is the worst thing I have ever witnessed!!!! The whole show is a disaster!”
Before she added in reply to another user: “Yeah, honestly it’s the worst thing I’ve witnessed he can’t act or dance at all and the mics kept going off. (sic)”

Emily Middlemas and Ryan Lawrie spark rumours of an engagement

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Middlemas and Ryan Lawrie have sparked rumours they are engaged.
The 18-year-old singer – who competed on this year’s ‘The X Factor’ opposite her 20-year-old beau – has set tongues wagging after she took to social media to reveal the dark-haired hunk has given her “the best surprise in the world”.
The vocalist – who was mentored by music mogul Simon Cowell and was the last girl in his category to leave the show during this series – tweeted: “OH MY GOD @RyanLawrie_ HAS GAVE ME THE BEST SURPRISE IN THE WORLD I AM THE LUCKIEST GIRL EVER. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!
“This is going to be the best Christmas and new year ever. Wow. (sic).”
Speculation that the couple have decided to take their relationship to the next level won’t come as too much of a surprise to fans as Ryan – who was voted out of the singing competition two weeks prior to his girlfriend – regularly declares his love for her.
He tweeted: “Never take anyone for granted. Love as much as you can and always show it! The world is a messed up place, everyone needs to come together .”
Whilst another heart-warming post read: “I am the proudest boyfriend ever. You have achieved so much. You are a beautiful person and have an amazing future ahead. #EmilyWeLoveYou (sic).”
Meanwhile, Emily may not have made the final but she secured a place on the show’s tour, which kicks off in February, and is looking forward to Christmas.
She said: “I love Christmas songs so I’m very excited and I can’t wait for the tour, I’ve never been on a massive tour before, I’m so excited, it’s going to be amazing.”

Charlotte Dawson to wed rugby boyfriend?

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Dawson is planning to get married to her new rugby player boyfriend.
The ‘Ex on the Beach’ star only revealed she was dating her co-star Jemma Lucy four weeks ago but it seems thinks haven’t worked out between the two beauties as she’s now struck up a romance with Matthew Sarsfield and has already planned her big day.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday (21.12.16), Charlotte – who is the daughter of the late comedian Les Dawson said: “I think I’ve met the one now. I actually have. He’s called Matthew. Hopefully my dad will be down the aisle, my dad. I’ve asked my mum to give me away. He’s a rugby player and he plays for Swindon Lions.”
The 24-year-old babe announced she was in a relationship with Matthew at the beginning of November when she uploaded a photograph of them on Instagram.
She accompanied it with: “The reason why I can’t stop smiling @matt_sarsfield”
News Charlotte is already thinking about tying the knot with the sportsman will no doubt come as a shock to Jemma as she revealed in mid-November – presumably when her co-star had already started romancing Matthew – that she and her were a “couple.”
She said at the time: “I’d like to confirm me and @CharlotteDawsx are officially a couple. Thank you for all your love and support (sic).”
Shortly after the announcement, the pair posed together on the red carpet at the UK Dating Awards, held at HAC Artillery Gardens in Moorgate in London, and were later spotted clambering into a car together as Charlotte grabbed Jemma’s boobs.
They then locked lips before fleeing the scene.

Martin Scorsese to resume The Devil in the White City in January

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Scorsese will resume work on ‘The Devil in the White City’ in January.
The 74-year-old movie directing legend had to stop working on the adaptation of the 2003 Eric Larson non-fiction book ‘The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America’ earlier this year whilst he wrapped the production of his new film ‘Silence’, but has said he will pick up where he left off in the new year.
Speaking to the Toronto Sun newspaper, Scorsese said: “Right now, there is a script being worked on… One of the things that I had to stop for the past six months… was my meetings on that script. They want me to start again in January and see if we can find a way because it’s an extraordinary story.”
When the movie finally does get made, it will see Leonardo DiCaprio take on the lead role, as he owns the rights to the book – after purchasing them back in 2010 – and has reportedly long wanted to adapt it with Scorsese in the director’s chair.
Although no plot details have been revealed as of yet, the book on which the movie is based focuses on the story of serial killer Doctor H. H. Holmes who lured his victims to their deaths in his elaborately constructed “Murder Castle.”
Holmes’ castle was complete with gruesome devices such as a gas chamber, dissection table, and a crematorium to dispose of the bodies. Holmes would have the skeletons of his victims removed and sell them for medical and scientific study.
Paramount won the rights to distribute the feature in 2015.
As of yet, there is no release date confirmed for the project, as it is still in early development.

Emmerdale fans want John Middleton to get Oscar Award

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ fans have called for John Middleton to receive an Oscar Award.
Hearts across the nation broke on Tuesday (20.12.16) night when Ashley Thomas – portrayed by the 63-year-old actor – failed to recognise his own wife Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) as he started to lose his battle with dementia, and viewers were so impressed with the way the star depicted the disorder that they want him to win a trophy.
One viewer, who goes by the handle pine tree millie (sic), said: “Hands down the best episode of anything I’ve ever watched. Give John Middleton an Oscar. #Emmerdale.”
Another called Ben Anthony agreed and wrote on Twitter after the episode aired: “This is so brilliant John Middleton deserves an award! #Emmerdale.”
While Marc Hutton said: “Think we’ve just seen the winner of the British Soap Award for Best Single Episode and/or Best Male Performance here like! #Emmerdale. (sic)”
The episode, which was shot through the eyes of the vicar, showed Ashley return back to the village and come face-to-face with places and people he no longer recognised.
The scenes were filmed in such a way that allowed viewers to get a glimpse of what it is like to have dementia, which is a persistent disorder of the mental processes caused by brain disease or injury and marked by memory disorders.
And things are set to get even more heartbreaking for the vicar as John – who has appeared on the long-running soap since 1996 – will bow out at the start of next month.
He said recently: “I’m very sad to be leaving ‘Emmerdale’. I love the place, I love everyone who works there and I’ve got some great friends there. Some of them will be great friends of mine for the rest of my life … I’m very sad to leave.”

Sue Perkins quit GBBO 'in a heartbeat'

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Perkins made the decision to quit ‘The Great British Bake Off’ “in a heartbeat” when she was told it was moving to Channel 4.
The 47-year-old presenter – who has co-hosted the culinary contest since its inception alongside her comedy partner Mel Giedroyc -admitted she and her friend didn’t need much time to consider their future on the show and is confident they have made the “right decision”.
She told BBC Radio 5: “We made the decision that felt right for us, and it was made in a heartbeat, really.
“For us the show was best at its original home and we made no secret of the fact that that’s where we wanted it to stay, and whilst I respect that it’s moved on, it was easy… well I say easy, of course it’s very sad to say goodbye to something you love, but it’s definitely the right decision for us.”
And Sue admitted she doesn’t fully understand why the show is leaving the BBC.
She added: “Ultimately I’m not a business person and business people make business decisions.
“I am somebody who wants to play and be silly and that’s not my world, so whilst it’s painful and whilst I don’t fully understand it, you have to respect the people that do business.”
The popular presenter is thankful the new deal hadn’t been signed while the show was being filmed, as it presented the most recent series from being tinged by nostalgia.
She said: “As far as I was concerned we’d be carrying on. So it’s nice in a way, it wasn’t filmed in a wistful way. It was filmed as business as usual, so there was no sense of what was to come when we were doing it.”
Sue will always look back on the “unique” show with fondness.
She said: “I was delighted to be part of it. Certainly in my career it’s the most extraordinary thing that I was gifted with… it was a very special, very unique, sort of mercurial show that had a sort of alchemy at its heart.”
Mary Berry will also leave the show when it moves to its new home, though her co-judge Paul Hollywood has signed a contract to stay with the programme.

Matt Terry for X Factor panel?

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Terry wants to join the ‘X Factor’ judging panel next year.
The 23-year-old singer has only just dropped his debut single ‘When Christmas Comes Around’ after he was crowned the winner of the singing competition two weeks ago, but it seems he’s not planning to leave the ITV studios any time soon as he’s hoping his mentor Nicole Scherzinger will pull him back as a guest judge for the next series.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I don’t think the show is a curse, it’s all down to you and how hard you work. I plan on working extremely hard to be a successful artist, I would love to continue to be involved with the ‘X Factor’ and future contestants.
“We are so close and after out victory we will remain close and I’ll remain part of the family. We will see what I can do but to be at the Judges’ Houses with her would be a dream, I will do what I can to help out.”
And the heartthrob is hoping the show’s boss Simon Cowell decides to keep the same panel next year as he believes the music mogul, Nicole, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh are the perfect foursome to lead contestants to success week-in week-out.
He explained: “I think I had the perfect panel, the best it has been. Nicole was so great and such a good mentor, and Sharon was so fun and so involved with her acts. I think I was really lucky to get who I did on the panel and I’d keep it the same. Every time I saw Sharon in the corridor she;d stop me and grab me and say: ‘Oh I do love you Matt.’ It was just a great bunch of people this year.”

Sia writes for Saara Aalto

OHMYGOSSIP — Sia has written a song for Saara Aalto.
The ‘X Factor’ runner-up has signed a five-album deal with Sony Music UK and Sony Finland and the Finnish singer is thrilled the ‘Chandelier’ hitmaker has already given her a song to record.
She said: “I’m now working with some of the best songwriters in the world and Sia has written a song that has been given to me.
“Oh my god, it’s just insane. I think Sia is a pretty good reference for me because her way of singing and the way she composes the melodies and writes the lyrics is very similar to what I’ve always done.
“I describe my own music as epic love pop. I don’t want to sing about going to a party with friends, I want to sing meaningful songs that can inspire people and I think Sia’s songs are really deep.
“‘Chandelier’ is about young girls who think they have to please others to be loved and that really touched me. The lyrics are so inspiring and life-changing.”
“I think it hasn’t really sunk in yet, it’s too much, it’s too big.
“I’ll probably understand in January when we are ready to start work on the tracks.”
And after she struck up a bond with Adam Lambert when they performed together on ‘The X Factor’ final, Saara is also hoping to get into the recording studio with him too.
She told The Sun newspaper: “Adam and I have been tweeting and sending some Instagram messages to each other.
“He used to have a Finnish boyfriend so he has a connection and can even speak some Finnish things.
“We immediately connected and hopefully in the future we can work together – he said it would be really nice to do something together so let’s see.”
The 29-year-old star is very excited about her new record deal as she believes it will propel her to global stardom.
She said: “It’s really exciting because I have two labels from different countries doing it together.
“I have always wanted to be a global singer so it already makes me global because Sony Finland is going to concentrate on Scandinavia – so that would be Finland, Sweden, Estonia – and hopefully Sony Music UK for the rest of Europe.
“We still have lots of meetings and lots of planning so it’s very open at the moment.”

Jennifer Lawrence glad there won't be a Passengers sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lawrence finds it “refreshing” that ‘Passengers’ won’t have a sequel.
The 26-year-old actress is used to playing large roles in movie sagas after taking on the lead of Katniss Everdeen in the ‘Hunger Games’ franchise, but has said her new role in ‘Passengers’ – which isn’t built for a sequel and has a definite ending – has been “nice” because she was able to “close the case on it”.
She said: “It didn’t have an effect on the way I prepared for the part, but it is refreshing – it’s nice. It’s really rare to find original content in a studio movie, that doesn’t have a proven audience – that has such a big budget. So it still feels weird that we just kind of closed the case on it. Because I’ve never been on such a big movie where the end is the end.”
And her co-star Chris Pratt – who is embarking on his own franchise adventure as Star-Lord in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movies – echoed her statements, saying the firm ending was so “important” to him, he even held conversations with Morten Tyldum, the movie’s director, about making sure the story stayed “complete”.
The 37-year-old actor told CinemaBlend.com: “Yeah, I loved the idea of that. That was really something that was important to me.
“I think maybe I even mentioned that the Morten in the beginning. I was like, ‘Listen, this has to be as it is, right? You’re not going to switch it at the end and open it up for a sequel because it could be wildly successful or whatever.’
“No. This is an entirely complete story.”
The pair didn’t go into detail about the ending of the story, however, as they previously claimed they were “intentionally” not giving away too much detail as the movie is “best served” to an unknowing audience.
Chris said previously: “We don’t want to spoil too much about it.
“He (Jon) is a magnificent screenwriter, he painted such a vivid picture and he’s created a scenario for these two humans that are set in a sci-fi world, it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.
“It evokes such emotion, compassion, raw questions about the nature of man and shame, and guilt, and redemption, it’s an amazing story.
“Nothing you’ve seen in the trailer comes close to telling you what the story is about, because we’re intentionally not telling you what the story is about. It’s best served to an audience who doesn’t know what they’re about to digest.”

Michael Fassbender to take acting break

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Fassbender has revealed he plans to take a break from acting.
The 39-year-old actor admits he’s been “pretty full on” this year, having starred in the upcoming ‘Assassin’s Creed’ movie, as well as reprising his role as David in ‘Alien: Covenant’ – the sequel to 2012’s ‘Prometheus’ which will be released in May next year – and the star now believes it is time for him to take a moment to relax.
He told Time Out magazine: “It’s been pretty full on. I had a ferocious appetite and energy for it, and I went at it like a maniac. But I’m going to take some downtime now. The last five years, I was verging on being a workaholic. I’ve just been going from film to film.”
And whilst the Hollywood hunk is planning on returning to the spotlight in the future, he also claimed he wouldn’t rule out quitting his job all together.
When asked if he would ever stop acting, Michael told the publication: “I’m not ruling it out. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but a part of me thinks you have a time as an actor when you’re at your best. There’s a journey to it, and then it’s downhill.”
The news comes after the star – who received his breakthrough role in ‘Hunger’ at the age of 31 – recently admitted he is in a profession which relies very much on other people for opportunities to come along, so he always does his best with whatever comes his way.
He explained: “It’s about being in the right place at the right time. Ninety-five per cent is luck – meeting the right people.
“As actors we are very dependant on others to help us get to where we are. Where I’m at today wouldn’t have happened without a series of people who helped me along the way.
“You have to be awake to these encounters, too.
“With ‘Hunger’ I was very aware that I was getting an opportunity that might not come about again for maybe another seven years, 10 years, if at all.
“So I grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and went for it. I focused and worked hard.”
