Samia Ghadie's Corrie Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Samia Ghadie will be watching ‘Coronation Street’ on Christmas Day.
The 34-year-old beauty’s alter ego Maria Connor doesn’t feature in this year’s festive episode, but she’ll be settling down to find out what does happen in Weatherfield on December 25, and admits it’ll be more relaxing without having to scrutinise her own performance.
She said: “I don’t think I’m in the Christmas Day episode this year but I’ll be watching for everybody else.
“Normally I only watch to see where I’ve gone wrong and what I can do better – to criticise myself basically – so I can give myself the day off this year.”
Samia’s seven-year-old daughter Freya – who she has from a previous relationship – is very excited about Christmas but the actress has come up with a cunning plan to ensure the tot doesn’t wake up the household too early on Christmas morning.
She explained: “She’s not too bad actually, she’ll just stay in bed. We just keep her up extra late on Christmas Eve so we can get a lie in.”
The actress is particularly looking forward to a festive break because she has barely seen her husband Sylvain Longchambon – with whom she has son Yves, 14 months – since they tied the knot in August.
She said: “Married life is great – when I see him.
“I don’t think I’ve had a day off since my honeymoon so it will be lovely to have some time together over Christmas.
“We want to take the kids to Winter Wonderland in London. We took Freya a couple of years ago, so that’s on my Christmas hit list.”

Bad Moms gets Christmas sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Bad Moms’ is set to receive a Christmas themed sequel in 2017.
The comedy movie starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn was released earlier this year, but a festive sequel is already in the works and slated for a November 2017 release.
All three of the starring actresses are set to reprise their roles for the sequel – which is said to be named ‘A Bad Moms Christmas’ – and Jon Lucas and Scott Moore will once again share the director’s chair, working from their own script. The new venture will also see producing duo Suzanne Todd and Bill Block return to set, as they also produced ‘Bad Moms’.
The original ‘Bad Moms’ focused on the lives of three overworked and under-appreciated mothers who – after being pushed to their limits – decide to leave their responsibilities behind as they enjoy a long overdue break.
‘A Bad Moms Christmas’ will instead see the trio deal with the stresses of having their own mothers visit for the holidays.
Chairman for STX Motion Group – the production company behind the franchise – Adam Fogelson, said in a statement: “This is a brand that has enormous goodwill all over the world, so expanding and extending the Bad Moms franchise in an authentic and irreverent way has been a priority for our team.
“Mila, Kristen and Kathryn are excited to re-team, and we will move forward with ‘A Bad Moms Christmas’ on a similar time table and in much the same way in which we produced the original.”
The news of a sequel for the movie comes after it was announced in October that STX were planning a spin-off movie called ‘Bad Dads’, which would be released in July 2017. No casting announcements for the project have yet been made.
‘A Bad Moms Christmas’ is slated for release on November 3 2017, which will mean opening on the same day as Marvel’s ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.

Jim Sturgess prefers drinking to learning

OHMYGOSSIP — Jim Sturgess would rather “get drunk” than learn something new.
The ‘One Day’ actor admits his education was “wasted” because he just wasn’t interested, and though he tries his best to “catch up” now, he’d much rather do other things.
He said: “At school, I was only interested in skateboarding, music and smoking.
“My education was wasted. But I was always interested in art and music, so I feel I’m catching up a lot of the time.
“Now, I read around whatever job I’m doing to educate myself but I’d rather go and get drunk.”
And even when he enrolled in university, the 38-year-old star chose an establishment he thought would help his musical ambitions, rather than his education.
He said: “After school, I decided to study in Salford. I chose Manchester because I loved all the music that came from there and I hoped to start a band but then got into acting.
“I felt amazing because for the first time I was getting top marks and not being told off for not turning up.”
The ‘Cloud Atlas’ star also admitted he wishes he was better at switching off and chilling out.
He said in a recent interview: “I’m not good at sitting still and I wish I was better at it.
“I’ll be at home and think, ‘Why can’t I just chill out?’ And then, when I’m filming, I can’t wait to not do anything.
“All these films and shows on Netflix I should be sitting and catching up with – it gives me anxiety just thinking I’ve got to plough through all that.”

Michelle Fowler to return to EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ icon Michelle Fowler will return to Walford, but has been recast after Susan Tully refused to return to set.
The iconic Albert Square original was played by Susan, 49, for 10 years from the very first episode in 1985 until her departure in 1995, but after attempting to get the star back on set for “more than 20 years” bosses of the BBC soap have decided to recast the role and hire Jenna Russell instead.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Eastenders have been trying to convince Susan to come back for more than 20 years but they agreed enough was enough and have decided to recast the role.
“They thought Jenna was a great fit and think she will do a great job as Michelle who is one of the most popular characters in the show’s history.
“The show has faced accusations of being boring lately, but curveballs like this shows it still keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.”
It has been speculated that Jenna could make her debut as Michelle as early as the Christmas Eve (24.12.16) episode, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
A spokesperson for the show said: “Viewers can expect a lot of surprises this Christmas, but we don’t comment on future storylines as this will spoil the enjoyment.”
Despite the character’s storyline seeing her move to the American state of Alabama in 1995, Michelle has been frequently mentioned on screen by other characters in the show.
Earlier this year, Sharon Watts – who was Michelle’s best friend during her time on the show – called Michelle to let her know that Peggy Mitchell was dying from cancer. Michelle then sent a letter to Peggy, which arrived after her passing and prompted Sharon to travel to Alabama to visit.

Lorna Fitzgerald's boot wish

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorna Fitzgerald wants a pair of knee-high boots for Christmas.
The ‘EastEnders’ star is hoping to find a pair of killer winter shoes under her Christmas tree when she wakes up on December 25 but her wish list isn’t just limited to footwear as she’s also hoping someone surprises her by whisking her away to a sunny destination as well.
She explained: “I really want a pair of knee-high boots. Although I’d love for someone to get me an all-exclusive holiday in a five-star resort – somewhere really hot and luxurious.”
And the 20-year-old actress has already started thinking about what she’s going to buy for Secret Santa – a festive game that sees people buy little gifts in secret for someone else – and is hoping she draws June Brown – who plays her on-screen grandma Dot Cotton – so she can splash out.
She explained: “I’d pick June Brown and get her something sassy. If I had an unlimited budget, I’d go for something sparkly with lots of diamonds.”
Lorna is also hoping her alter ego Abi Branning gets an animal this year as she’d love to see her character happy over the festive season for once.
She said: “Oooh, I’d buy her lots! Maybe some new clothes and make-up, I think she needs that. And I’d love to get her a new gerbil or a dog!”

Jane Cox making double dinner

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Cox is planning to cook two Christmas dinners.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star – who is known for playing factory working Lisa Dingle in the long-running soap – and her partners are both vegetarian, so she will make a nut roast for them and a traditional turkey for the rest of her household.
She explained: “I’m a vegetarian and so is my partner – but the rest of the family all eat meat! It will just depend on whether or not I do a nut roast for us all or cook them a little bit of turkey for them. That said, I’m sure that we can make a vegetarian Christmas dinner delicious, and all the turkeys and pigs can rest assured that they won’t be coming to any harm.”
Jane’s Christmas will no doubt be very different from the festive experience her alter ego will have as it’s no doubt set to be explosive in the dales after her estranged husband Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) starts to gravitate back towards her after leaving her for Joanie (Denise Black).
A source said: “There is a parallel to last year’s Christmas with the breaking up of a couple. The viewers will see how happy Zak is with his family and that gets Joanie thinking. Does he really want to be with her, or does his heart lie elsewhere.
“This Christmas feels as though things have come full circle. I think it’s satisfying for the audience as it will sort of mirror last year and they’ll want to see what this means for Zak and Lisa.”

Ollie Locke launching gay dating app

OHMYGOSSIP — Ollie Locke is launching a gay dating app to rival ‘Grindr’.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has teamed up with creators of straight dating app ‘Bumble’ and his close pal Jack Rodgers to launch ‘Chappy’ in a bid to find himself and others a new love interest.
Of his new venture, he said: “‘Chappy’ represents the future of gay dating and we’re thrilled to have an investor and partner as well versed in the market as Whitney and Bumble.
“In addition to fully understanding our ethos and mission to normalise gay dating, Bumble also knows the importance of an app fully recognising the needs of the user.
“We’re very proud to be working with Bumble.”
‘Chappy’ won’t be out until 2017, however singletons are encouraged to sign up now ahead of the launch.
Meanwhile, in July, the 29-year-old socialite revealed he was looking for a male companion as being in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend Catherine Louise Radford – who he split from last December – made him realise he’s no longer bisexual.
Speaking about the previous series of the E4 reality show – which was set in Cannes – he said: “It’s the first time the viewers have seen me as gay instead of bi. I do say the words ‘I am a gay man.'”
Ollie – who has been out as bisexual since 2011 – admitted that the series was a “big” deal for him as he’s never “openly” talked about his sexuality.
He said: “For me, this is a big series because I’m talking very openly about gay life, which I have never really done before.
“I lived with a woman last year when I was off camera, we had two dogs together.
“And then we broke up and in December I thought, ‘That’s it now, I think I’m now gay.'”

Ryan Gosling: Denis Villeneuve is everything I 'hoped for'

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling has praised Denis Villeneuve as everything he “hoped for in a director”.
The 49-year-old film maker is at the helm of the upcoming sci-fi movie ‘Blade Runner 2049’ – the sequel to the 1982 classic ‘Blade Runner’ – and starring actor Ryan Gosling has nothing but praise for his abilities.
The 36-year-old actor said: “If you made a list of all the characteristics you hoped for in a director and sent it to Santa Claus, there’d be a Denis Villeneuve under your tree Christmas morning. Maybe a little drunk on eggnog, but he’d be there!”
And Ryan – who will star in the movie alongside Harrison Ford who is reprising his role as Rick Deckard – says he was left “overwhelmed” by the scale of the sets involved with the production, after Denis insisted they use as little CGI as possible.
He said of the set: “It’s really incredible. I was so overwhelmed by the scale of them and how specific and, although, beautiful they are.”
Meanwhile, it isn’t just Denis that Ryan has praise for, as he also took the time to speak highly of Roger Deakins – who is the cinematographer on the project and previously worked with Denis on ‘Sicario’ – whom he dubbed as a “master”.
Ryan told Entertainment Weekly magazine: “Roger is a master. If there’s a Mount Rushmore of DPs, he’d be right there in the middle. He goes about his work very modestly and quietly, but you learn so much from just looking. You realise that once you are in one of his shots, half your job is already done.”
‘Blade Runner 2049’ is expected to hit cinema screens in October 2017.

Jamie Laing: Dating on TV is tough

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Laing says dating Frankie Gaff on ‘Made in Chelsea’ is the “hardest thing” he’s ever done.
The 28-year-old hunk believes his relationship with the blonde beauty would be a lot easier and stronger if every little detail of their love lives weren’t aired on national television every year.
He explained: “Being on a show and having your relationship on it is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I’ve never really had a proper relationship on the show so yeah, it was pretty testing at times. But I’m hoping we can be okay for the future, for sure. Oh my God, it would be so much easier if it wasn’t on TV. Relationships on camera are the hardest thing in the entire world, they really are. It’s a nightmare. But that’s what we signed up to do, so we’ve got to do it.”
The blonde-haired hunk first joined the reality TV show five years ago but he’s got no plans to move on just yet because he believes he owes a lot to the programme for making his career.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: “‘Made in Chelsea’ is my roots – I’m pretty loyal towards it,” he said. “It’s sort of what gave me this access to this incredible world which I’m so lucky to be a part of. Everyone always goes, ‘You’ve got to move on’. But with me, we’ll see what happens. If the timing’s right, the timing’s right. At the moment I’m on Made in Chelsea and that’s what’s happening but we’ll see what happens in the future.”

John Partridge 'struggled' after Celebrity Big Brother appearance

OHMYGOSSIP — John Partridge “struggled” in the weeks after his stint on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 45-year-old actor decided to re-evaluate his life after he was given the boot from the competition last January after his behaviour was heavily criticised by viewers.
The former ‘The ‘EastEnders’ star said: “Since coming out of ‘Big Brother’, I’ve made a conscious decision to get back to what I did before. Sometimes you just want to remind yourself what it is you do and who you are. Sometimes you have to do that.”
John agreed to take part in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ because he needed to raise extra cash to help fund his mother’s treatment for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
He explained: “I realised … not from the public, but from myself, I’ve struggled a little bit since I’ve came out. I did, I struggled a little bit. Maybe that was because of my mum and all the pressure all these sorts of things. But I did struggle a little bit with that. I didn’t realise it at the time. At the time, I thought what a load of nonsense. I had to go back and look at a couple of things. It’s all fabulous now, though. It’s all really, really fabulous.”
John explained that despite selling his house and working consistently, he is facing a never-ending battle to pay for her care.
He added: “She’s safe and she’s comfortable – and that’s all we can ask for. It’s £45,000 a year and although I’m a jobbing actor, who has got that sort of cash lying around? She lived with us for four years, we sold the house and we couldn’t do anymore. She’s got Alzheimer’s and dementia.”

Ore Oduba was the third wheel between wife and 'Strictly Come Dancing' partner

OHMYGOSSIP — Ore Oduba played the “third wheel” between his wife Portia and his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dance partner Joanne Clifton while he was competing on the show.
The 30-year-old sports presenter – who married the blonde beauty last year – couldn’t believe how well his spouse got on with his coach and regularly found them texting each other and meeting up for dinner behind his back during his time on the series.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (23.12.16), the dark-haired hunk – who was crowned the winner of the recently-finished series last week – said: “I was the third wheel. There was actually a real lovely moment towards the end of the series when Portia actually came to join Jo and I after a session and we went into town and it sweeps you up. I hadn’t had a chance to do anything work-wise, so I had a boring life, and I was on my phone for a bit and I looked up and Portia and Jo were about 100 yards down the road just yapping, yapping away.”
And Ore believes he is “lucky” he shared a strong friendship with Joanne, and the “most incredible” people in his life have bonded too.
He explained: “It struck me at that moment, how lucky am I to have two people so supportive and two of the most incredible women that I know get on, because it’s one thing to get your dance partner and get on with her, and for her to get on with the closest person in your life.”
Although the trio enjoyed each other’s company, Portia has revealed she was worried her marriage could be in jeopardy when her partner signed up to compete on the popular BBC programme.
The blonde beauty said: “Going into it, it is at the back of your mind because it’s something that always crops up every year.
“We hadn’t spend much time together at all, we got married in November, then Ore’s had a busy summer of sport and then this came in off the back of it, and I was like ‘OK, I’ll see you soon.'”
However, Portia has admitted all her concerns about her relationship vanished when she met the blonde beauty.
She said: “But as soon as I met Jo, the part when they get paired, I just thought ‘Wow’. She was amazing. And your partner makes your whole experience, it can make it, it can break it. But we were so lucky it made it for us.
“We [Portia and Joanne] were going out for dinner, we were texting.”

Jesse Eisenberg and Connie Nielsen return for Justice League

OHMYGOSSIP — Jesse Eisenberg and Connie Nielsen are to star in ‘Justice League’.
In order to build DC Comic’s own extended cinematic universe, Jesse – who starred as Lex Luthor in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ – and Connie Nielsen – who plays Hippolyta in ‘Wonder Woman’ – are slated to appear in the eagerly awaited fantasy movie.
Warner Bros made the revelations during its big announcement about its new movies for 2017, according to Collider.
Jesse hinted back in May at the MCM London Comic Con that Luthor would be back in ‘Justice League’, although he was cautious not to reveal too much.
Speaking at the time, Jesse said: “I’m kind of in wait [mode]. I don’t know what I’m allowed to say, because I feel like there’s probably some drone following me from DC, and if I say anything wrong I get, you know, picked off.
“But yeah I think so, and I love it, and I love everybody who’s in it. You know, it’s a really talented group of people.”
Warner Bros also gave an insight into the upcoming ‘Justice League’.
In a synopsis, Warner Bros explained: “Fuelled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy.
“Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes – Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash – it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

Sex and the City 3 gets the go-ahead

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Jessica Parker has reportedly signed up for ‘Sex and the City 3’.
The 51-year-old actress, who starred as Carrie Bradshaw on the iconic TV show, Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), Kristin Davis (Charlotte) and Candace Bushnell are expected to start filming on the eagerly anticipated romantic comedy movie sequel after reaching a deal.
A source told RadarOnline.com: “All the women are officially signed up for SATC movie 3. The deal is done and the script has been approved by all the women.”
‘Sex and the City’ is based on the original books – a collection of essays by Candace based on her and her friends’ lifestyles.
Sarah came close to skipping the third reunion over issues with the script, but it’s understood that “tweaks” have been made to persuade her to get on board.
The insider said: “There was a lot of back and forth. Sarah Jessica Parker was not originally on board because she didn’t like the idea of the characters being portrayed in a more mature light. The full green light for ‘Sex and the City 3’ the movie is really new. Everyone’s happy with how things have turned out and they can’t wait to get started working together again.”
However, it’s unclear whether Kim Cattrell will be joining the cast, as according to Radar’s report, Candace is listed as being involved instead.
Shooting for the film is expected to start in the summer.
A third ‘Sex and the City’ film has been rumoured for some time.
And earlier this year, Sarah teased: “[There is] always a possibility, definitely. I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie. I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved.”

Lucy Watson's dog in hospital

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Watson’s dog was rushed to hospital on Thursday (22.12.16).
The former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star was wracked with worry when she landed in Barbados – where she is celebrating Christmas with her boyfriend James Dunmore and his family – yesterday to find out her pet pooch Digby had been taken to the emergency vets because he had a bone wedged in his throat and couldn’t breathe.
Taking to her Twitter account after the incident, she said: “Worst news to get off the plane and find out my little digby is in hospital (sic),” followed by a pained face emoji.
After she was bombarded with messages from concerned fans, the 26-year-old beauty gave her followers an update on her four-legged friend’s condition.
She said: “Thanks for kind messages everyone. He had a bone stuck in his oesophagus which has now been pushed into his stomach. He’s going to be okay (sic)”
Lucy brought Digby into her family two years ago after she spotted him in the shop window of the pet department in Harrods and, although she feels terrible about buying rather than adopting an animal, she thinks the world of him and takes him everywhere.
She said recently: “I got him in the Harrods pet department, which I feel terrible about. I don’t agree with puppies in shops and he was there for four months. I already have a cat, Darcy, but one day I felt so bad that I just bought him.
“My dad went mental. At the time he was giving me a deposit for a flat, and said: ‘I just don’t think you’re mature enough for a flat if you’re going to go and buy a dog from Harrods.’ Eventually he realised that it wasn’t a mistake, it was actually a life decision.”

Kierston Wareing fractured arm during drunken scuffle

OHMYGOSSIP — Kierston Wareing fractured her arm during a drunken scuffle on Wednesday (21.12.16).
The former ‘EastEnders’ star – who was known for portraying Kirsty Branning in the soap from 2012 until 2014 – has accused the staff at The Sutton Arms in Hornchurch, Essex, of injuring her after they reportedly refused her entry into the country pub because she rocked up intoxicated.
A spokesperson for the actress said: “She suffered an unprovoked attack, which resulted in a fractured arm and left her in severe pain so understandably she was upset. My client apologised that evening to anyone who she may have offended and will be reporting the attack to the police.”
The 38-year-old beauty was reportedly captured on camera screaming at the bouncers before she allegedly claimed: “Don’t you know who I am? I’m from the BBC!”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, an onlooker said: “I’m not surprised they refused her re-entry because she was acting really aggressively and stumbling around like she’d had a lot to drink. I asked her if she was OK and she said, ‘F*** off’ you dirty slag.’ I wish I hadn’t asked now. She was holding her wrist and her eyes were really blood shot and her hair was ratty – she looked worse for wear.”
After 30 minutes of ranting and raving, Kierston walked away from the country pub unaccompanied.
The actress hasn’t had the best of luck this year as her addiction to Coca-Cola cost her five teeth.
She said recently: “I was on two and a half litres of full fat Coca-Cola a day. But my teeth have been suffering, I had a warning a year ago, but I didn’t take it seriously. A year later and I have had five teeth come out. It’s been so painful, I’ve been waking up in agony and it is all down to Coca-Cola. I had an addiction to it. I would wake up in the middle of the night and I would crave a can of Coke. Then I would get up in the morning and the first thing I’d drink is a can of Coke.”

Honey G to negotiate album deal

OHMYGOSSIP — Honey G is yet to negotiate an album deal.
The ‘X Factor’ rapper – who finished fifth in the competition late last month – was the first act from the singing show to nab a record deal with Simon Cowell’s label Syco, but it seems her just-released single ‘The Honey G Show’ may make her a one-hit wonder as she’s yet to speak to bosses at the firm about creating a whole LP early next year.
She said: “It’s the kind of thing that I’d like to do to negotiate an album deal with Syco.”
And, although her future music career is up in the air at the moment, the 35-year-old star – real name Anna Gilford – is hoping to bag a collaboration with Snoop Dogg.
Speaking to Digital Spy, she explained: “I would love to collaborate with Snoop Dogg. He is a hip-hop legend, and I would love to do a track with him.”
And it seems her wish may come true as she has claimed the 45-year-old hip-hop legend has been in contact with her mentor Sharon Osbourne’s daughter, Kelly.
She said: “Snoop phoned Sharon’s daughter Kelly and said he wanted to work with me, but I don’t think he’s been in contact with my management yet.”
Although an album is not yet on the cards, Honey – who’s from North West London – has already got another single lined up for when 2017 swings around in two weeks.
She said: “Believe it or not, one of the Syco producers has already written a second single and wants to release it in the New Year which is amazing. I have the backing of Syco and hopefully this will help in my next step in negotiating a record deal with them.
“What I want to do is negotiate a deal. We want to make it happen. I don’t think there is a specific timescale – I think they are allowed to make two singles with me, and then if they make a third, they have to make an album.”
