Peter Capaldi: Superheroes are too serious

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Capaldi isn’t a fan of new superhero movies.
The 58-year-old actor thought the ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas special was similar in tone to the 1970s and 80s ‘Superman’ movies – which featured Christopher Reeve in the lead role – and he admitted he much preferred those films to the modern day Marvel and DC Comics big screen adventures.
Peter – who portrays the titular Time Lord on the popular TV show – said: “I like the early Christopher Reeves movies – [the special] is tonally quite similar. The superhero movies I have seen recently seem to be a little serious.
“Of course I loved ‘Batman’ when I was a kid, with Adam West and all that. When I was a kid that was absolutely huge. Everybody loved ‘Batman’ – ‘Pow!’ ‘Wallop!’ ‘Crash!’ and all that stuff. That was really exciting.”
Peter revealed, too, that he would even shun comic books that were bought for him by his grandmother.
Asked whether he grew up reading comic book, the actor explained to SFX magazine: “I didn’t particularly. My granny used to bring me ‘Casper the Friendly Ghost’ comics … I guess we had TV21 and ‘Thunderbirds’ and the Frank Bellamy drawings and ‘Doctor Who’ in ‘TV Action and TV Comic’. That was more what I looked at, as opposed to American comic books.”
The ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas special saw Peter reunite with Matt Lucas, who he relishes working with the comedian, despite likening him to an “alien”.
He said: “Matt’s great, he’s very funny. When I see him on screen – and I don’t know whether he’ll like me saying this – Matt sort of like looks like an alien.
“In his comic work he has a very distinctive look about him but in ‘Doctor Who’ he genuinely looks like a creature from another planet, with his pale, sweet face and his clear eyes. I was quite amazed looking at us together. We look like a pair of strange alien creatures. Which is nice.”

Emmerdale's Kerry Wyatt to fall into coma

OHMYGOSSIP — Emmerdale’s Kerry Wyatt is set to fall into a coma next year.
The outspoken former factory worker – who battles with diabetes – will finally get her life back on track when she’s struck yet another blow after she falls unconscious on a bridge while out and about with her grandson Kyle.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Laura Norton – who plays the bolshie brunette – said: “Kerry is out spending the day with Kyle and begins to feel unwell. I collapse on the bridge and, because we’re near water, I shout at Kyle to run away and get help because I don’t want him to get hurt. However, when he is found everyone just assumes I got drunk again and fell over. But it’s not true.”
After spending Christmas Day (25.12.16) alone following his split from Dan Spencer (Liam Fox), Kerry decides to ditch the booze for good but she’s tempted to hit the bottle again after she locks horns with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who is the father of Kyle by Kerry’s daughter Amy (Chelsea Halfpenny).
She explained: “In the new year this feud with Cain seems to get out of control. He’s in a really bad place and keeps putting her down. There are just two jibes too many from Cain. He then takes it a step further and says she can’t have any access to Kyle. She is heartbroken again. So she’s in the Woolpack and trying her best not to drink but she’s lonely and manipulated by Charity.
“Charity (Dingle, Emma Atkins) is a sociopath and that’s where you do get to see that Kerry isn’t really a bad person. Charity seems to have no emotion or remorse and isn’t bothered at all. But in those scenes you see Kerry’s heart and Charity is behind the bar slyly spiking Kerry’s drinks with alcohol. So she gets goaded into doing something she doesn’t necessary really want to do.”
Charity manages to get inside Kerry’s head and convinces her to get revenge on Cain by setting fire to the Dingles’ family caravan, but she doesn’t realise that her friend Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) had been staying in there.
Laura said: “She’s 100 per cent convinced that no-one is in there. She even knocks on the door. So she just smokes a cigarette and then makes a terrible decision. What she doesn’t know is that Zak’s actually been living there and could be inside. It’s devastating for her because she has a great relationship with him and he’s been kind to her, so the thought of hurting him just kills her.
“When she realises he’s safe she confesses what she’s done to him and he’s lovely to her, which makes her feel even worse. The repercussions with Cain are ongoing and she’s made an even bigger enemy of the most dangerous man in the village.”

EastEnders' Lee Carter to be threatened by enemy over robbery?

OHMYGOSSIP — EastEnders’ Lee Carter will struggle to keep his cool as his enemy Oz Bolat threatens to reveal the truth about the recent robbery at the Queen Vic pub.
The salesman – portrayed by Danny-Boy Hatchard – is already plagued with guilt after he arranged for his colleague and his pals to bombard his family’s boozer last month, scare his relatives and snatch cash to help him settle his debt.
Christmas Day (25.12.16) saw the former Army boy arrested for robbery and later released without charge, but things are set to go from bad to worse for the depressive as Oz will pay him an unexpected visit at the pub this week.
Speaking about the storyline, a soap insider told The Sun newspaper that “Oz is on the cusp of outing Lee as the mastermind behind the terrifying robbery that saw his disabled brother manhandled by the masked attackers.”
The source added to the publication: “Lee gets a shock when he finds Oz at The Vic having a drink with his family. Lee begins to panic when the topic of the robbery comes up but is Oz about to reveal the truth to (Lee’s father) Mick?”
Viewers already know that Danny will bow out of the soap next year but, despite it initially being thought that he will kill himself over his debt, it’s now believed his departure could have something to do with his involvement in the break in.
A source said at the time: “This (Danny leaving) was a tough decision but sometimes to create big storylines characters need to come and go.”
Lee isn’t the only one who has been written out of the soap as viewers are expected to sob into their tissues on New Year’s Day (01.01.17) when double act Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell (Samantha Womack and Rita Simons) get killed off.
A soap insider teased: “Rita and Samantha created the iconic Mitchell sisters and with their undeniable chemistry, they immediately created a double act that the viewers fell in love with. But when they all sat down to work out where to take them, they all felt it was the right time to rest them.
“When you look back over nearly a decade and realise what they have been through, it seems that most avenues have been exhausted … Bosses desperately wanted to keep the news of their departures a secret, but once the news about Samantha leaked out, it was only a matter of time before people worked out Rita would be going too.
“It’s a shame as it would have been a great surprise for the audience but there are still lots of twists to come before they leave our screens.”

Lily Collins: 'I was afraid to ask about Rules Don't Apply role

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Collins was afraid to ask if she had been cast in ‘Rules Don’t Apply’.
The 27-year-old actress was desperate to land a role in the first movie directed by Warren Beatty since 1998 but admitted that for some time she was too scared to check if she had been successful.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I never knew and I never wanted to ask. It’s the kind of movie where it was never gonna be real until we’re shooting, and even when we were shooting we were like, ‘Is this really happening?'”
Beatty also stars as reclusive Howard Hughes in the movie, which tells the story of the relationship between two young employees of his, an actress (Collins) and a driver (Alden Ehrenreich).
Speaking previously about the process of getting the role, Lily said: “From our first meeting to the second, it was a couple of months, a long process of just meeting and talking about life. And then, finally, reading the script.
“I still had no idea if I was doing the movie. There was never an audition, just a month of hanging out and chatting. I think Warren reads people. He’s a great judge of character. He was auditioning me in a way through just meeting me. That’s part of his brilliance. He knows what he’s looking for. I feel it totally mirrored my character – and I don’t know if that was on purpose! Marla just wants to please Howard Hughes, and is just waiting and waiting.”

Toyah Battersby to wreak havoc for Leanne and Eva

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’s Toyah Battersby and Eva Price are set to lock horns next year as they battle it out for their joint sister Leanne Battersby’s attention.
The brunette beauty – portrayed by Georgia Taylor – only returned to the cobbles over the festive season but she’s already ruffled a few feathers as not only has she struck up a relationship with the bistro owner’s (Jane Danson) ex-husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), but she’s also planning to rub the busty barmaid (Catherine Tyldesley) up the wrong way by snatching her step-sister away.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Jane said: “I think just having the three will be two is company and three is a crowd… so potentially someone is going to be left out and Eva is not best pleased with that.”
However, there’s no doubt there will be an explosive row when Leanne – who is expecting a baby with her husband Nick Tilsey (Ben Price) – finds out her half-sister Toyah has shacked up with her former flame Peter behind her back.
And it’s only a matter of time before the businesswoman learns the truth as her step-son Simon (Alex Bain) filmed his dad locking lips with Toyah on his drone.
Leanne grew suspicious on Christmas Day (25.12.16) when her half-sibling rocked up unannounced and said she was splitting from her husband.
She told Leanne: “Now he knows I’m in love with someone else. I’ve been seeing him for months. It started about six months ago as a holiday fling.”
When pushed on a name, Toyah said: “He’s down in my phone as Fred.”
But Leanne isn’t planning to give up without a fight and demanded Toyah give her answers after she ended up in hospital with suspected high blood pressure.

Olivia Colman's festive indulgence

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Colman is planning to eat “an awful lot” of food over the festive season.
The ‘Broadchurch’ actress adores the Christmas period because it means she can stuff her face with tasty grub without feeling guilty for overeating and spend quality time with her family.
She said: “I’ll be spending Christmas with my family and basically being cosy, probably going for walks, lighting a fire and eating an awful lot of food. Everyone’s a fan of Christmas, aren’t they? Yes, I’m a fan. I just like being together, playing games and reading.”
And the 42-year-old actress – who has three children with her husband Ed Sinclair – can’t wait to watch her new animated adventure ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ on Christmas Eve (24.12.16) because she thinks that’s the prefect festive fare.
She explained: “Part of Christmas is always cuddling up together and watching a film, one that everyone can enjoy. I can imagine that ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’ would be perfect with grandparents and kids – everybody cuddling up and experiencing it all together.”
Olivia plays the mother bear in the animated film and was drawn to the role because it reminded her of her own family.
She said: “I love the bond the family have. They care for each other, look after each other and I love the adventure of their imaginations. For a while you will start to wonder if the bear is real – and maybe the bear is real. I love that they commit to their adventure and I’d love to go with them.”

Rylan Clark-Neal to return to Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal will return to ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ next month – as a contestant.
The 28-year-old presenter may have other duties now that he’s the host of the show’s spin-off ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ but bosses have agreed to let him move back into the iconic bungalow temporarily next week for the ‘All Stars vs. New Stars’ special in a bid to “settle scores” with reality TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt after they locked horns when they all stayed in the house in 2013.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Producers are planning a brilliant task that will involve Rylan moving back into the house. Rylan did not get on well with Heidi and Spencer and there are scores to be settled.”
Rylan – who won series 11 three years ago – is expected to earn a “small fee” for his unexpected return, while Heidi and Spencer, who are known collectively as ‘Speidi’, have penned a six-figure deal to move back into the house for three weeks.
A source explained: “Spencer and Heidi are very competitive and they got so close to winning last time that they’re hell bent on coming out on top this time around.
“They’ve never quite lived down being beaten by Rylan. Last time they were not sure what to expect, but they’ve become big fans of the show since their stint in the house. And they’re sure they’ve devised the secret strategy that will see them win.”
The ‘All Stars vs. New Stars’ special will see a chosen few celebrities from previous series return and go up against a new bunch of fresh-faced contestants.
Lee Ryan, Katie Hopkins, Jasmine Lennard and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan, who have all appeared in the flamboyant abode in previous years, and newbies Bianca Gascoigne and Danielle Armstrong are set to join this year’s special when it returns to screens on January 3 on Channel 5.

Janette Manrara's three-day Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec’s Christmas celebrations last three days.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professionals are “mad about” the holiday but this year’s festivities will be very different to 2015’s as they are off to sunny Miami, whereas last year they enjoyed snow in Slovenia.
Janette said: “When Aljaz and I first met, we’d spend Christmas separately, with me in Miami and Aljaz at home in Slovenia. But we missed each other way too much.
“After a gorgeous white Christmas last year with his family in Slovenia, this year we’ll be putting on sandals and shorts to spend it with my family in Miami. We’re all mad about Christmas. It’s a three-day event for us, with huge Christmas dinners and fun and games for everyone.”
And it’s not just Christmas the pair are looking forward to, as the couple are also trying to put the finishing touches on their wedding plans so that they can tie the knot next year.
She explained: “We’re on the verge of finalising the venue and are about to compile our guest list. As for my wedding dress, I haven’t even looked for one yet. I still don’t know what I want.”
Aljaz added: “Whatever Janette wears on our wedding day, she will look beautiful. And whatever Janette likes, she can have.”
Janette concluded: “He’s been like that since we met.”
The loved-up dancing duo first met at a dance studio in London in 2010 but it wasn’t love at first sight for both of them as Janette resisted Alkaz’s advances at first.
She recalled: “When he walked in, everyone went, ‘Oooh’ and started giggling. Although he kept asking me out, it took me a year to give in and go on a date with him, I couldn’t say no to that beautiful face anymore because he’s so handsome.
“Normally, that means trouble to me but then when I got to know him, I realised that although he’d gorgeous on the outside, he’s a thousand times more beautiful inside.”

Naomie Harris fulfilled long-held ambition on Collateral Beauty

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomie Harris fulfilled a long-held ambition by working with Will Smith on ‘Collateral Beauty’.
The 40-year-old actress – who is best known for her starring role in the James Bond movies – appears alongside the Hollywood star in the new drama film and has admitted she relished the opportunity to work with Will.
She shared: “I read it, it made me cry, the script, and I was just like, this is going to be an incredibly healing movie for a lot of people, and so I really wanted to be part of it. And also, I’ve wanted to work with Will Smith for a long time as well.”
Naomie admitted the experience of starring alongside Will also served to teach her a few crucial life lessons.
She told RTE Entertainment: “I think the biggest thing that he taught me was the importance of being open to other people. You know, really that everyone has something to teach us.
“And the other lesson he taught me was how to be more generous with other people, because he said, ‘Every single person you meet is going through something, nobody has it easy in life and you have the opportunity to make that person’s life – even for a couple of seconds just by a smile – better, so why not do that?'”
This comes shortly after the actress revealed she found it “intimidating” when she discovered she was starring alongside the likes of Will and Dame Helen Mirren in ‘Collateral Beauty’.
She confessed: “It was really intimidating I have to say. At the read through I was a bit like, ‘Oh my gosh! I have to act with all of these incredible people.
“But they were so nice and so down to earth. Really, really lovely and so supportive.”

Liz Smith dies aged 95

OHMYGOSSIP — Liz Smith has died aged 95.
The actress – most known for her role as Nana in ‘The Royle Family’ – passed away on Christmas Eve (24.12.16), according to a statement released by her spokesperson on behalf of her family.
The statement read: “The BAFTA award-winning actress Liz Smith has died, on Christmas Eve, at the age of 95, her family has announced.”
No cause of death has yet been announced, but since her passing tributes from the showbiz world have flooded in, with Ralf Little – who played Antony Royle in the popular sitcom – leading the tributes.
Taking to Twitter, Ralf said it was “devastating” news, as Liz becomes the second ‘Royle Family’ cast member to pass away this year after Caroline Aherne – who created the show and starred as Denise Royle – died from lung cancer in July.
He wrote: “Devastating to lose two members of my second family in one awful year. RIP Liz Smith. Goodbye Nana. Xxx (sic)”
Richard E. Grant, who starred with Liz in the 1997 film ‘Keep the Aspidistra Flying’ – which was based on the George Orwell book of the same name – also paid his respects via Twitter.
He wrote: “Liz Smith-I loved working with you on the George Orwell film & privileged to have played & danced together R.I.P. X (sic)”

In 2009, Liz announced her retirement from acting after suffering from a series of strokes. Taraji P. Henson's 'duty' to star in Hidden Figures

OHMYGOSSIP — Taraji P. Henson felt a “duty” to star in ‘Hidden Figures’.
The ‘Empire’ actress has taken on the role of NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson in the drama about three African-American women who were on the team that helped to launch astronaut John Glenn into orbit in the 1960s and Taraji was proud to portray Johnson on the big screen.
She told The Wrap: “This movie I had to do, I just felt like it was my duty. We always celebrate the astronauts, but we don’t celebrate the mathematicians behind it. But I didn’t know that these women existed and I was like, ‘Why are we just learning about them?’ And I couldn’t wait to meet Katherine Johnson, she’s still very much alive. She’s 98 now.
“What struck me most was her humility. She found the ‘we’ in ‘I.’ Because John Glenn asked for Katherine in a time when it was very difficult for women, especially black women – [we] couldn’t even vote. She focused on solutions, not problems.”
The movie, which has been directed by Ted Melfi, also stars Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe.
And NASA chief Charles Bolden Jr. was in awe of Johnson when he met her and says that he owes her a great debt.
He explained: “Had it not been for what she did, I wouldn’t even have been where I am today. That’s why she’s very important to me. She’s one of those people on whose shoulders I stand.
“I think the movie is absolutely tremendous. I tell all of our employees: They will laugh, they will cry, they will scream in anger and then they will walk out incredibly proud that they are part of the NASA team.”

Adam Driver: Star Wars Episode VIII is 'remarkable'

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Driver says ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ will be “remarkable”.
The 33-year-old actor stars as villain Kylo Ren in the next instalment of the popular sci-fi franchise, and has taken the time to praise filmmaker Rian Johnson – who is both directing and writing the script for the feature – on his “brilliant” work in bringing together something that he believes will be “remarkable”.
He told The Daily Beast website: “[Rian is] a brilliant filmmaker. And he wrote the script also, and he understands the importance of ambiguity and nuance. He wrote something that I think is remarkable.”
Adam also admitted he finds it “surreal” to think he’s playing the villain in a series as famous as ‘Star Wars’ is, but he tries not to “overthink” the importance of his role.
He said: “I’m not very good at analysing it, I guess, or even making time to attach meaning to it.
“So much of it is luck, and timing. I work hard but I can work hard in a vacuum. I’ve been lucky to get these opportunities. It’s very surreal to me.
“In working on the jobs–and actually doing the thing–I block that stuff from my mind as much as possible, because it’s not good to get nostalgic or overthink it. That might be a good strength of mine: not thinking a lot.”
The news comes after Adam recently revealed that the script for ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ is going to similar to that for previous instalment ‘The Empire Strikes Back’.
He said at the time: “It’s great. It’s similar to how ‘The Empire Strikes Back’ has a different tone.
“For that people always go, ‘Oooh, it’s dark’ but I don’t know that it necessarily is. It’s just different in tone in a way that I think is great and necessary but also very clear.
“He trusts [that] his audience is ready for nuance and ambiguity.
“He’s not dumbing anything down for someone and that’s really fun to play.”

Lauren Goodger teases 'pregnancy' with ultrasound picture

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger teased fans about a possible pregnancy by posting a picture of an ultrasound scan on her Instagram page.
However, closer inspection showed that the 30-year-old reality TV star – who is dating convicted burglar Joey Morrison – had actually shared a fake scan picture with a turkey in place of a baby, a reference to overindulging during the festive season.
She captioned the picture: “Happy Boxing Day #Christmas (sic).”
At first fans posted a number of congratulatory messages on her page, with one follower writing: “OMG hope she is! She deserves to be happy,” and another asking her when the baby was due.
However, others quickly pointed out that the “baby” in the ultrasound was in fact a turkey, with one person simply writing: “It’s a turkey ppl. A turkey (sic)”.
While Lauren might not be pregnant, she is extremely loved up with Joey, who is currently in prison.
She recently shared a picture of him on her Instagram page and wrote: “Merry Christmas to this one. Thank you for everything and we all wish you was here, not too long now and you will have your life back. I can’t believe how strong you are to have done the time you have and are still happy and smiling everyday, your strength is you, the people who know you all know why you are in there and I hope now all news groups have been sent emails with the facts maybe they will now stop the bullshit they write. People will speculate and form opinions but everyone I speak to who knows you speaks highly of you and cannot wait too see you. Happy Christmas and 2017 is nearly here, if you know you know as people keep saying to me (sic).”
She finished the gushing message with a number of heart emojis.
Lauren has been notoriously unlucky in love, with a failed engagement to former ‘TOWIE’ co-star Mark Wright and a “toxic” relationship with Jake McLean behind her.
She previously said: “My last relationship was toxic and I jumped straight into a relationship with Jake and that turned out to be toxic too.
“I don’t want that again. I want to find pure love with someone who has nothing but respect for me. I don’t mean to sound horrible but I’m glad it’s over.”

Sigourney Weaver felt A Monster Calls was like 'a perfect marriage'

OHMYGOSSIP — Sigourney Weaver felt ‘A Monster Calls’ was the “perfect marriage” between a great director and a good story.
The 67-year-old actress stars alongside Felicity Jones, Toby Kebbell, Lewis MacDougall and Liam Neeson in the J. A. Bayona-directed fantasy movie, and has admitted she had a good feeling about the film from the outset.
She explained: “I did feel that way about this movie. I felt it was such a perfect marriage of a great director with an amazing story. I felt the story was a fantastic and surprising allegory but against a very real situation.
“I just felt it was very rich kind of … broth to get involved in. Also, for me, I’ve done a lot of bigger movies, and so I was very drawn to the idea of doing this very intimate story.”
The film centres on the fortunes of a young boy who tries to deal with the terminal illness of his mother and the stresses of being attacked by a local bully. But the boy’s life turns around when he encounters a giant humanoid yew tree.
Sigourney told Collider: “The script was very ambitious and I knew that Bayona would change it in a way. But I felt right away that we were in very good hands with Bayona and that they’d cast a very good cast … you could just tell at the reading that it was going to work.
“Bayona’s commitment to the film, you just knew that it was very important to him – and to all of us working on the film.”

Danniella Westbrook parties with Gary 'Gaz' Beadle

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook spent Thursday night (22.12.16) parting with Gary ‘Gaz’ Beadle.
The 43-year-old actress attended a Christmas bash with the ‘Geordie Shore’ star and the pair posed for a selfie in order to impress her 14-year-old daughter Jody.
Sharing a picture with the 28-year-old hunk on Instagram, Danniella – who also has 19-year-old son Kai with her ex Kevin Jenkins – wrote: “Thursday night Christmas party with the kid @gazgshore #thewestbrook (sic)”
And an insider told The Sun online: “Danniella was at her management’s Christmas party and asked for a picture with Gaz because her daughter Jody adores him.
“Jody’s a massive ‘Geordie Shore’ fan and thinks the world of Gaz and Scotty T.
“Gaz was more than happy to pose for a photograph with Danniella was over the moon because her daughter will think it’s brilliant.”
The former ‘EastEnders’ star was recently made homeless and days ago she was sacked from her job at the beauty salon Lip Couture in Liverpool, because of her lack of personal hygiene after she allegedly left bloodied tissues around the salon that she used to wipe up her fragile septum, which famously collapsed in 2000 due to her excessive use of cocaine.
Danniella hit the headlines earlier this week after it was claimed she had been unable to keep up with her rent but it seems there could be light at the end of the tunnel as her former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ co-star John Partridge has reached out to her and asked her to get in touch with him if she’s in trouble.
The 45-year-old actor said: “I mean I love Danniella. It’s terrible to hear that and if Danniella sees this or reads this and she needs something then she should get in touch. I’m her friend, I’ve worked with her and I know her.
“I feel desperately desperately sorry for her. How do you help somebody? It’s so difficult to know the right thing to do, but I want her to know if she needs anything then get in touch with me. She’s so vulnerable.”
Danniella is said to have been staying “here there and everywhere” in recent weeks after she was turfed out of her home.

Suzy Cortez drops out of Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ has lost one contestant for 2017 after Suzy Cortez pulls out due to “work contracts”.
The 26-year-old Brazilian model – who is the current holder of Brazil’s Miss BumBum title – was due to appear on the celebrity version of the popular reality television show, but has been forced to pull out ahead of the show’s start date in January as she has other commitments she cannot get out of.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the brunette beauty said: “I was offered the place back in November but I’ve had to pull out because I can’t get out of some other work contracts, which I had hoped to be able to break.
“I hope they will let me do next year instead.”
It comes after Suzy previously admitted she wasn’t sure if she would be able to honour her place in the ‘Big Brother’ house because of her commitments in Hong Kong and Australia.
She said in November: “I was invited by Channel 5 to join Celebrity Big Brother.
“I still don’t know if I’m going to enter the reality show as I’ve signed contracts to work in Hong Kong and Australia at the beginning of 2017.”
Suzy would have been going into the house as part of the upcoming ‘All Stars vs New Stars’ series, which will see past contestants battle it out against new blood.
Meanwhile, model Austin Armacost is excited to be returning to the famous house and is only disappointed his friend James Hill – who won the show when they competed in summer 2015 – won’t be taking part too.
A source told The Sun: “Austin can’t wait to enter the ‘Big Brother’ house again.
“He really enjoyed his time in there and is looking forward to the new challenge.
“He’s just gutted that James Hill won’t be joining him.”
