Elle Fanning's raunchy new movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Fanning’s new movie ‘The Beguiled’ has “lots of sex” in it.
The 18-year-old actress will star as Carol in the upcoming remake of the 1971 drama of the same name – which will also star Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, and Kirsten Dunst – and has said despite the incredibly fiddly “period clothes”, the movie has many steamy moments.
She told New York Post’s Page Six column: “I just finished ‘The Beguiled,’ first film Sofia Coppola’s made in a few years.
“Starring Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Colin Farrell, it’s a remake of Clint Eastwood’s movie from 1971.”
“It’s set in the Civil War era. A soldier from the North hides in a girls’ school in the South. My period clothes had so many tiny, tiny buttons, so small I could not dress alone. I had to be careful I didn’t rip any.
“And there’s lots of sex in this movie.”
The movie – which is also based on the Thomas P. Cullinan novel ‘A Painted Devil’, published in 1966 – follows the story of John McBurney (Farrell), an injured Union soldier who is rescued from the brink of death by 12-year-old Amy (Oona Lawrence), a student at an all girls’ school in Mississippi.
Edwina (Kidman), a teacher at the school, takes a liking to John, as does fellow student Carol (Fanning), and when Carol spots John kissing Edwina, her jealousy causes her to alert the Confederacy of his whereabouts.
‘The Beguiled’ is being directed and produced by Sofia Coppola – the 45-year-old daughter of famed director Francis Ford Coppola – and will be distributed by Focus Features.
The feature is expected to hit theatre screens in America in June 2017.

DJ Brandon Block for Celebrity Big Brother?

OHMYGOSSIP — DJ Brandon Block is set to join ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ when it launches on Tuesday (03.01.17).
The 49-year-old musician – who was popular in the 80s and 90s and is the founding member of techno group The Aloof – is reportedly joining the line-up for the ‘All Stars vs. New Stars’ special, where he will no doubt talk about his past cocaine addiction, which saw him spend £2,000 feeding his bad habit.
A source told The Sun newspaper: Brandon was a huge name in 90s.
“He was on radio constantly and his hard-partying ways were all over the papers.
“Not only was he a successful DJ but also a big producer throughout the 80s, too. When ‘CBB’ offered him a spot this year he was well up for it.”
Brandon famously stormed the BRIT Awards in 2000 after his drunken mates told him he was to collect an award and allegedly got into an altercation with Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood.
The rumours come following speculation that Katie Price – who won the reality TV show in 2015 – is also set to return.
The ‘Loose Women’ panelist is said to be featured in the 19-second video teaser posted on the official Channel 5’s official Twitter, which shows a silhouette of a busty female, which fans believe is Katie, 38.
If Katie joins the show, she is to share the famous abode with fellow British stars, 35-year-old glamour model, Nicola McClean – who first appeared on ‘CBB’ in 2012 – and Bianca Gascoigne, the former stepdaughter of retired football star Paul Gascoigne, who are both rumoured to be heading into the house.
US couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Calum Best, Coleen Nolan, James Jordan, Kim Kardashian West’s ex Ray-J and Khloe Kardashian’s best friend Malika Haqq are also being tipped to enter the bungalow.
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ kicks off on Channel 5 at 9.00pm on Tuesday (03.01.16).

Nicole Kidman's artistic movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman only makes movies that appeal to her “artistic spirit”.
While the actress hopes all of her movies will be successful, she insisted she is not motivated by money but by her passion for her projects.
Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, she said: “”I want the films to make money – if they cost a lot of money, I don’t want people to lose – but I’ve got to keep my artistic spirit, and I’ve got to approach it not from a strategic business place, because that just makes me feel not good. So I ask other people to take care of that side of it … but let us make it. It’s not a business for me.”
And Nicole took on a supporting role in the movie ‘Lion’ because it touched her.
She said: “The message of this film, about unconditional love, is very powerful to me and very important.”
Nicole also praised her David Hare’s 1998 London production of ‘The Blue Room’ for launching a new stage in her career.
She said: “Stephen Daldry [who directed her in 2002’s ‘The Hours’] came and saw that, Baz Luhrmann [2001’s ‘Moulin Rouge’] came and saw that, and out of ‘The Blue Room’ and all of those characters I played, I suddenly was given these chances.”

The popular ITV drama will return with more gritty storylines being teased in a video teaser, which shows the eerie dark cliffs of West Bay on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
In the short video clip posted on the broadcaster’s Twitter page, it also teases: “HERE WE SUFFERED GRIEF AND PAIN HERE WE MEET TO PART AGAIN … THIS FEBRUARY (sic)”
The post is also captioned: “It’s Back. #Broadchurch. February (sic)”
David Tennant and Olivia Coleman are to reprise their roles as Detective Inspector Alec Hardy and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller respectively following the conclusion of the second series of the ITV drama in February 2015.
And this time they will be investigating a sexual assault following the murder of Danny Latimer [Oskar McNamara].
Creator and writer Chris Chibnall said previously: “We’ve been overwhelmed that nine million people every week have continued to join us on the twists and turns of ‘Broadchurch’. This third chapter has been a glint in my eye for a long time and I’m thrilled to be writing these characters once again.”
Following Joe Miller’s (Matthew Gravelle) arrest for the murder of Latimer at the end of the first series, the character was found not guilty following his trial in the series two finale and viewers will now find out whether he follows his wife Ellie’s advice to leave the Dorset town and never come back.
ITV’s director of drama Steve November and controller of drama Victoria Fea have commissioned the third series with Chibnall and Jane Featherstone set to return as executive producers.
November said: “Chris Chibnall knows exactly how to keep viewers guessing and I’m delighted that he is going to take the story onto the next stage.”
Little else is known, except Arthur Darvill is to return as Reverend Paul Coates and former ‘Coronation Street’ star Julie Hesmondhalgh – who portrayed Hayley Cropper in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street between 1998 and 2014 – has been cast as Trish Winterman.

Tina Malone calls police on Twitter trolls

OHMYGOSSIP — Tina Malone has reportedly contacted police after being subjected to abuse from Twitter trolls over her extreme weight loss.
The former ‘Shameless’ star, who had a gastric band fitted in 2010 and went on to lose 12-stone in weight, was reportedly spotted heading to a police station in Merseyside, North West England on New Year’s Eve (31.12.16), where she was believed to be getting help over online bullies, who mocked her after pictures were published of her outside her home in her pyjamas, and she is said to be “shaken up” by the offensive messages.
A source told the Mail Online: “She was reporting trolls who had been abusing her after she was pictured taking out the bins in her lingerie a few days ago. She was upset and shaken up.”
The 53-year-old actress – who is married to Paul Chase – previously explained the pictures and hit back at those who directed abuse at her, calling them “disgusting”.

Vicky Pattison to cut back on booze

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison is to cut back on boozing in 2017 to get her body beach ready.
The 29-year-old reality star has taken to social media to share her plans to diet and lose two stone to get trim in time for summer by hitting the gym to “tone up” and by following her very own Mini V Nutrition diet plan and supplements.
Taking to Instagram to share a throwback picture of herself in a sexy swimsuit, she wrote: “#SwimsuitSunday… Now Christmas and New Year is out of the way i’m defos getting this body back!! Back to the gym tomorrow and absolutely smashing my @minivnutrition products and workout plans!!!! Who’s with me?!! My #JanPlan is to tone up, lose 10 pounds, cut back on alcohol and sugar and improve my fitness levels!!! Talk to me about your #JanPlan?! And hopefully @minivnurition can help (sic)”
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Extra Camp’ host
and former Queen of the Jungle – who won the popular ITV series in 2015 – previously admitted her turbulent relationship with her former ‘Geordie Shore’ co-star led her piling on the pounds and neglecting her body, although she didn’t realise her extreme weight gain until the pair split in February 2013 and she was left “single, fat and unhappy”.
Speaking about her weight battle at the time, she said “I got really overweight when I was in a relationship with Ricci Guarnaccio. Ricci never once made me feel unattractive despite the weight I’d gained. So I never stopped to worry about how much I’d put on.
“When cracks started to appear in the relationship and we broke up I was single, fat and unhappy. I had no motivation, I couldn’t kick start a new healthy regime.
“A lot of us do it – we get into a relationship and eat together and don’t worry as much about our diet.”
Vicky felt the MTV show, which saw the Newcastle-born star enjoy regular boozy sessions with her house mates, played a large part in her weight gain.
She explained: “It was a dark time. I was down after the break-up and my future on ‘Geordie Shore’ looked uncertain so I ate more than ever.
“I was on ‘Geordie Shore’ at the time too so I was drinking a lot. When you are busy, if you are anything like me, your diet and any sort of exercise falls by the wayside.”

Stephanie Davis to focus on acting

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis wants to focus on acting and music next year.
The 23-year-old actress has made it her mission for 2017 to land herself a role in a major TV show and release an album because she’s worried her stint on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last year has tarnished her performing arts career and damaged her success.
She explained: “I really want to get back into my acting a music next year. I think everyone thinks, because of my ex (Jeremy McConnell), that I’m just this reality TV person that loads of drama happens to, but I do have an art.”
The brunette beauty – who is due to give birth to her first child any day now – is also keen to put her all into motherhood and give her son the best start in life possible.
Speaking to new! magazine, she explained: “I want to be the best mum I can be and to keep working really hard. It’s all about getting to know me and my baby more.”
And fans will certainly be able to get to meet her little bundle of joy as the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star is hoping to secure her own reality TV show based on motherhood.
She said recently: “I’m in talks for stuff like that [a motherhood series]. I have a great idea for a new format that no one has ever done before.”

Chloe Sims will ditch carbs for January

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Sims has given up carbs for January.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star has vowed to ditch calorific treats like pasta, cakes and crisps this month because she was so “naughty” with her diet last year and desperately wants to shed a few pounds to feel good when she slips into her bikini in the summer.
Writing in her column for Star magazine, she said: “I don’t really make New Year’s resolutions but I’m planning to do a no-carb January because I have been really naughty with my diet and I’m trying t get ready for the summer.”
However, the 33-year-old beauty didn’t go cold turkey on January 1 as she practised cutting out starchy foods and replaced buttery mash potato with chopped up cauliflower, that looks like rice, back in December.
She explained: “I’ve started to do it already and I’ve discovered cauliflower rice, which I’ve been having instead of mashed potato. I’ve been quite enjoying it, to be honest.”
Meanwhile, Chloe – who has 12-year-old daughter Madison – isn’t planning on ruining her figure by getting pregnant next year.
Speaking about fellow ‘TOWIE’ star Lauren Goodger’s desire to have a baby, she said: “I heard that Lauren Goodger has said she wants a baby next year. I can see why she would want one, but having a baby’s not easy, although it might look it. Once you’ve had a baby you are committed and everything is a worry. I don’t know if I’d want to go through that experience again and have two babies to worry about.”

Robin Williams turned down for Harry Potter

OHMYGOSSIP — Robin Williams was turned down for a role in ‘Harry Potter’ because he wasn’t British.
The late Hollywood actor – who committed suicide in August 2014 aged 63 – was reportedly desperate to portray the role of Hagrid, the half-giant and half-human gamekeeper and Keeper of Keys and Grounds of Hogwarts, played by Robbie Coltrane.
The ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ star is believed to have begged the director of the blockbuster franchise, Chris Columbus, to take him on for the part, but he rejected his pleas.
The film’s casting director, Janet Hirshenson told The Huffington Post: “Robin had called [Columbus] because he really wanted to be int he movie, but it was a British-only edict.
“And once he said no to Robin, he wasn’t going to say yes to anybody else, that’s for sure, It couldn’t be.”
Williams isn’t the only person to be rejected by the director of the franchise – based on the best-selling novels by author J.K. Rowling – as Eddie Redmayne was also turned down for the part of Tom Riddle, despite later appearing in the spin-off ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ in the leading role of Newt Scamander.
The 34-year-old actor previously revealed: “I actually auditioned to play Tom Riddle while I was at university.
“I properly failed and didn’t get a callback.”
Riddle only appears in 2002’s ‘Harry Potter And The Chamber of Secrets’ and was played by Christian Coulson.
However, Redmayne never lost hope that he would one day be cast in a part in the films.
He added: “Over the years, I always hoped I might be cast as a member of the Weasley family – I’m colour blind, but I’ve always been told where there’s a tinge of red to my hair – but unfortunately not.”

Kerry Katona gives up booze

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona has vowed to give up drinking in 2017.
The 36-year-old television personality has kickstarted her new year by leaving alcohol behind, as she took to Twitter to express her amazement about waking up without a hangover.
She wrote on the social media site: “Feels amazing not waking up with a hangover on the first day of the year!Keeping it that way from now on! #nodrinking (sic)”
And Kerry isn’t the only star quitting alcohol in 2017, as fellow media personality Katie Price also admitted in December that she was planning on going sober for the new year.
The 38-year-old star announced during an appearance on ‘Loose Women’ she is going to stop boozing once 2017 begins and she plans to not drink another drop until the end of the next 12 months.
Katie has made her decision following reports she stripped off to just a thong and knee-high leather boots in the toilets of business EnergySave’s Christmas party which she was paid £13,000 to appear at and also ranted at guests while handing out the company’s end-of-year prizes with her ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers.
Busty beauty Katie, 38, had already promised to have a ‘dry January’ during a prior appearance on the programme, but decided to go teetotal for the whole of 2017 after accepting booze “doesn’t agree” with her.
The mother-of-five – who is married to Kieran Hayler – said: “When I drink I am a nightmare, though I don’t mean to be. Lately there have been stories that I’m a rowdy drunk, you guys know me I’m actually quite normal, but I’ve thought, ‘You know what? It just doesn’t agree with me.’ because I’m small it affects me and I never know that one more is too much, it’s took me 38 years to realise. Anyway next year you know I said I’d do a dry January but I’m actually not going to drink for the whole year. This is for you out there to challenge me on.
“When I was pregnant I did it, so what difference does it make? It’s one year out of my life to be healthy and just try and see what it’s like.”

Samantha Womack 'broken' after EastEnders character killed off

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Womack is “broken” after her ‘EastEnders’ character was killed off.
Ronnie Mitchell and her sister Roxy (played by Rita Simons) departed the BBC One soap in dramatic scenes aired on New Year’s Day (01.01.17) – which showed the pair drowning in a pool – and Samantha is devastated that the Mitchell siblings are gone.
She tweeted: “I’m sorry I can’t respond to any comments..I’m honestly broken. An appropriate end to the darkest year ever.@OfficialRita @RealScottMaslen (sic).”
Rita added: “Thank you all for your lovely tweets. I don’t really have words right now. But words will come.. in good time #R&R (sic).”
And Scott Maslen, who plays Ronnie’s husband Jack Branning, added: “End of an era! #ronnieandroxy loved working with @sam_womack and @OfficialRita #eastenders #sadtimes thanks for all the tweets! (sic).”
Danny Dyer, who portrays pub landlord Mick Carter on the soap, also took to Twitter after the dramatic scenes aired.
He wrote: “Two beautifully complex Eastenders Icons. On screen chemistry personified. Nothing but love for ya’s #missed. @Sam_Womack @OfficialRita X (sic).”
Rita previously revealed she and Samantha were overwhelmed with emotion filming their final scenes after almost a decade in Albert Square, and had to take it in turns to support each other.
She said: “Samantha would have a day where she couldn’t stop crying and I would be really cold and strong and I would look after her. Then the next day it would be me who’d be set off by a packet of coffee or whatever and she would be strong.
“We’ve taken it in turns to be upset because one of us needs to be strong for the other.”
And, although Rita is looking forward to whatever she takes on next, she admitted it was heartbreaking leaving behind the crew members she has worked with for several years.
She said: “I’m so exhilarated to be moving on and doing other stuff, but I left probably 150 crew that I adore – every single one of them, make-up, lighting, costume. I love them all, I’ve known them all for 10 years, day in, day out.
“It was that that kind of broke my heart, leaving them.”

Michael Fassbender considered desperate measures

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Fassbender wanted someone to break his arm to get him out of working on ‘Steve Jobs’.
The 39-year-old actor was gripped with fear when working on the biopic of the late Apple founder and even considered taking drastic measures to avoid being in the film, but ultimately thinks his nerves helped his performance and stopped him taking anything for granted.
He said:” I remember when I was doing ‘Steve Jobs’ I thought, ‘God I’m drowning, how do I get out of this? Somebody break my arm.’
“I actually said to my driver, ‘Brian I’ll stick my arm in the door and you just slam it shut.’
“But you just go back to the process. Go upstairs, continue working, do what you know to do.
“I suppose there are benefits to the fear.
“It keeps you from taking things for granted.”
Michael had a number of stunts to do in his latest movie, ‘Assassin’s Creed’, but he admits he has become more fearful in the scary scenes as he’s gotten older.
He told Empire magazine: “You know, it’s funny – going u on the roofs in Malta, the real buildings, never scared me.
“But when I stood on this scaffolding structure, indoors in the studio, I felt really nervous.
“I’m on wires, but the first jump towards the ground is always a little bit of a sphincter moment.
“You just have to go, ‘God, just trust in it.’
“As I get older I get a little less brave in these things.”
When he was younger, the ‘Shame’ star was an altar boy in church and was attracted to assisting the priests because of the “sense of theatre”.
He explained “What I got from being an altar boy was a sense of theatre.
“I remember – without being blasphemous – being bored in mass, sitting there as a member of the congregation.
“But when I was around the altar and assisting the priest, bringing up the wine and the water and so forth, that felt pretty cool.”

Ben Affleck: The Batman has 'no script'

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck says ‘The Batman’ has “no script”.
The 44-year-old actor is currently working on the stand alone superhero movie – which he plans to star in as well as both direct and write the script for – but has said the project isn’t “a set thing” and he won’t follow through with his plan to make the movie if it doesn’t “come together”.
He told The Observer newspaper: “It’s not a set thing and there’s no script. If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great I’m not going to do it.”
And it isn’t the first time Ben has played down the idea of getting the movie made, as he recently revealed he’s determined to find a winning formula for his storyline as he would hate to make a “mediocre version” of a Batman movie.
He said: “I’m still working on the script. I’m not going to write and direct anything that I don’t think is good enough to be made.
“I’m definitely going to make sure I have something that is special –  there’s not enough money in the world to make a mediocre version of Batman worth it.”
And whilst there might not be a script in place yet, it was revealed in November that Joe Manganiello would be stepping up to take on the role of supervillain Deathstroke.
The 39-year-old actor said at the time that this take on The Caped Crusader would be “fresh”, and is set to “surprise” audiences.
He said: “When I met Ben we sat down and we talked about, you know, the role. We talked about the movie. His take is a fresh take but I think the audience is going to be surprised. Because it’s a road that no one’s really gone down that’s completely integral to who Batman is. And I think it’s gonna be refreshing but at the same time completely familiar. But it’s going to take this franchise in a direction that I think a lot of people are going to be really happy about.”
‘The Batman’ is expected to be released in 2018.

Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man disappointment

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Garfield didn’t feel “represented’ by the ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ films.
The 33-year-old actor was so excited to be offered the part of Peter Parker and his superhero alter-ego that he signed up to two movies, 2012’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ and 2014’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, without reading a script and admitted it was not his finest work.
He told The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter Podcast: “I had to fight really, really hard to make sure that the character was honoured and that we were offering something really fun, entertaining and also moving and complex and deep for all the young boys and girls that want to see their favourite superhero.
“The difference between how I felt when ‘Never Let Me Go’ and ‘The Social Network’ were coming out and how I felt with The ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ franchise was that I didn’t feel represented. I was feeling very represented by those other two films, and with The ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ stuff I didn’t feel like that was my work up there, in a weird way. It felt like a semblance of it or kind of a shade of it, but ultimately I felt it was enshrouded in that filter.”
However, Andrew will always have fond memories of the movies because he met his former girlfriend Emma Stone, 28, who he is still close to, on set, when she played his love interest Gwen Stacy.
He said: “So many beautiful things came out of that. I met someone that remains incredibly important to my life on that – you can fill in the blanks on who that is.”

Kate Beckinsale natural with guns

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Beckinsale is a “complete natural” with guns.
The 43-year-old actress will reprise her role as Selene for the fifth time in ‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ and she admits she was disappointed to be dealing with different weapons this time around.
She said:” There are fewer guns this time around, which sucks because I’m good at shooting machine guns. Now there are axes and sword fights.
“I’m a complete natural with guns, so much so, I didn’t even need to rehearse. But then every time they give me a new weapon I go, ‘Oh no’ and they have to ease me into it.
“It was OK though, because it kept me on my toes.”
But despite her disappointment, Kate admits it is a “huge privilege” to be returning to the role once again.
She told SciFiNow magazine: “It feels like a huge privilege to portray a female character like Selene that women go to the movies for.
“Selene is very particular, she has got compressed rage and compressed energy, and there is something dynamic about that. She is great fun to play.”
The latest film sees Selene separated from her newly-discovered daughter, Eve, as they hunt for her former lover Michael Corvin, and Kate says the movie admits things look bleak for her alter ego, making her even more dangerous.
She said: “At the beginning of the movie, Selene is absolutely ready to die.
“And for someone who has fought so hard for her life, this is a crazy place for her to be. It also makes her really dangerous.
“It’s great though, I think that is one of the things that made it worth making another film.
“Selene always go through different things and the stakes are always different, and you find out much more about the character each time.”
