Robert Carlyle wept over T2 script

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Carlyle cried when he read the script for ‘T2 Trainspotting’.
The 55-year-old actor will reprise his role as the psychopathic Francis Begbie in the highly-anticipated follow-up to the 1996 movie and was surprised by how emotional he and his co-stars felt when they were given the screenplay.
He said of his first glance at the script: “I was crying. I thought, ‘Why the f**k am I crying at this?’
“Danny [Boyle, director] felt it, Ewan [McGregor] and Ewen [Bremner] felt it, Jonny [Lee Miller]; we all felt this real emotional connection to these characters and to this world.
“But that first read – I was speaking to Ewan saying, ‘I cannae believe I’m feeling like this.’
“I’ve never cried when I’ve read a screenplay before. Ever.”
And Robert felt emotional again when his co-star Jonny Lee Miller arrived on set, having been delayed with filming ‘Elementary’ in the US.
He recalled: “Out of everyone, Jonny and I were probably the closest.
“Jesus Christ. Big, big hugs. Just holding on to each other, actually.”
But the meeting wasn’t so emotional for Jonny, as he had contracted food poisoning during his journey.
He told Empire magazine: “I was so nervously excited and I ended up throwing up in the bathroom.
“It was like, ‘Nice to see you, I gotta go vomit’.
“And it just felt weirdly, awfully appropriate for ‘Trainspotting’, throwing up in a bathroom, having not seen these guys for years, hoping they didn’t think I’d developed some awful drug habit.”

Shayne Ward sings to Catherine Tyldesley's son

OHMYGOSSIP — Shayne Ward sung to Catherine Tyldesley’s son when they first met.
The ‘Coronation Street’ hunk – who portrays the blonde beauty’s on-screen boyfriend Aidan Connor in the ITV soap – was blown away by how considerate he was when he was introduced to her 22-month-old child Alfie for the first time.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said of her handsome co-star: “He’s the sweetest guy in real life. When my son Alfie first met Shayne, he was awestruck. Shayne held his hand and sang to him, and Alfie just stared back mesmerised.”
The 32-year-old star was clearly getting into practice as him and his girlfriend Sophie Austin welcomed their first child – a baby girl – called Willow May into the world recently.
Taking to Twitter in December, he wrote: “Proud to share our incredible news. Me and Sophie had a beautiful baby girl. We are completely besotted and in love with the deepest of hearts. Our world. Willow May Ward.”
As well as his busy career on the cobbles, Shayne is still working on his music and recently teamed up with Catherine for a song ‘Get Here’ on her debut album ‘Rise’.
She said: “It’s great working with Shayne as he’s given me loads of tips on how to look after my voice. I used to gig before ‘Corrie’ – I sang jazz – and it was always my ambition to one day release an album. I promised my late grandad I would do it.”

Jennie McAlpine ties the knot

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’s Jennie McAlpine has secretly tied the knot.
The 32-year-old actress and her partner Chris Farr – who welcomed son Albert together in 2015 – have revealed that they got married in a low-key ceremony earlier this week.
Taking to Twitter on Friday (06.01.17), Jennie shared a picture of their hands with wedding rings and wrote: “So, we went to Trafford Town Hall earlier this week and had a bit of a special day (sic).”
Co-stars past and present rushed to congratulate her, with Katie McGlynn, who plays Sinead Tinker, tweeting: “yay!!!” while Wendi Peters, who played Cilla Battersby, wrote: “lots of love xxxx (sic).”
Tupele Dorgu, who previously played Kelly Crabtree, wrote: “oh my word! How exciting. Congratulations. Knew youd give in one day Heres to many yrs of wedded bliss xxx (sic).”
Jennie and Chris met through her ‘Coronation Street’ co-star Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully.
Speaking previously, she explained: “Antony kept saying he had a friend I should meet and one day he called me up one day and said, ‘I’m here with your future husband. Do you want me to put him on the phone?’. It was weird that he was so convinced that Chris was so right for me, and even more bizarre that he actually was. Our personality traits really complement each other.
“We get on so well and things are great. Now Albert’s come along we share the care and have him with us all the time. He’s at the centre of our lives.”

Mel Giedroyc has no hard feelings towards Paul Hollywood

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel Giedroyc doesn’t have “any bad feelings” towards her former co-star Paul Hollywood.
The 48-year-old presenter announced she was bowing out of the ‘Great British Bake Off’ immediately after it was revealed Channel 4 had bought the rights to the show late last year but she’s adamant, although the silver fox was the only member of the team to be coaxed with money to move with the series, she doesn’t hate him for turning his back on the BBC.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (06.01.17), she said of her former co-star: “I love the guy genuinely … He’s a pal and a friend and I don’t want any bad feelings or bad vibes … We had seven years together and they were really fun, good years.”
Mel wasn’t the only one to walk from the programme after the news was announced as her co-host Sue Perkins and the legendary judge Mary Berry also decided to bow out, too.
It has been highly speculated that Mel, Sue and Mary will now team up on a baking show that will rival ‘GBBO’ on the BBC and, although she refused to divulge too many details, Mel set tongues wagging when she played coy and claimed “stranger things have happened.”
She teased when Lorraine Kelly asked if she was working on a project with Mary and Sue at the moment: “Who knows? Stranger things have happened!”
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ was thrown into chaos last year when it was revealed the BBC had failed to offer a big enough sum to Love Productions, the makers of the programme, to keep the show on their channel, despite screening it for the last seven years.
The BBC offered the company an estimated £15 million per year – double the current contract – in a bid to keep hold of the show, but producers refused to accept offers below £25 million.
Channel 4 quickly waded in with a three-year deal – worth a reported £75 million – after talks between the BBC and Love Productions broke down.

Coleen Nolan threatens to 'smash' Angie Best

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan has threatened to “smash” Angie Best’s “face in.”
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist only entered the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house three days ago but it seems being cooped up within four walls is already proving too much to bear as she got herself tangled up in a war of words with the 64-year-old model on Thursday (05.01.17).
As she watched the brunette television star puff away on a cigarette in the housemate’s garden area, Angie warned: “You smoke. You’re putting all that toxic poison into your body and you wonder why your body can’t get into a positive mode.”
To which Coleen replied: “I’m going to smash your face in, in a moment.”
She then added with a giggle: “I appreciate your concern but you’re getting right on my t***.”
Angie said in agreement: “I’m a nag. I nag about this stuff.”
Although the pair were clearly joking, the rest of the housemates watched on with gobsmacked expressions as Coleen hasn’t always seen eye-to-year with the blonde star.
The 51-year-old singer poked fun at Angie earlier this week during a discussion with her friend Nicola McLean after the former Playboy model asked them how to use the shower.
In Wednesday (04.01.17) night’s episode, Nicola said when Angie asked how she gets in the shower without flashing her bits to the nation or her housemates: “Get in, take your clothes off and then throw your clothes over. Take your towel with you.”
Coleen added as Angie walked away: “I’m not being funny…It’s a game! They’re not putting us in a five star hotel!”
However, Coleen hasn’t had the easiest of time recently as her marriage with her husband Ray Fensome is currently on the rocks and she’s entered the house in the hope that the distance between them will give them the space they need to move past their marital woes.
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will return to screens tonight (06.01.17) at 9pm on Channel 5.

Angus MacInnes: CGI isn't ready to create Carrie Fisher

OHMYGOSSIP — Angus MacInnes says CGI technology isn’t good enough to create a full character as Disney considers their options following the shock death of Carrie Fisher.
Film producers are currently desperately trying to find a solution to include Carrie, who played Princess Leia, in the next instalments of the science fiction franchise as she was expected to have a big role in the upcoming movies – an emotional reunion with her brother Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and a confrontation with son Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
It is not something the filmmaker’s haven’t done before. In ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, Carrie was digitally made younger whilst Governor Tarkin – who was originally played by Peter Cushing – was completely created in CGI in the 2016 movie.
Angus – who played Jon “Dutch” Vander in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise – believes CGI isn’t able to recreate the “little nuances” the person gives to the character.
He said: “Peter Cushing – which was a complete CGI re-rendition, which I thought was kinda eerie … it was really bizarre. I mean Peter’s been dead for over 20 years.
“He just looked a bit odd. Because CGI isn’t 100 per cent. There’s those little nuances that you look at and think, ‘That’s not quite the guy.'”
And the 69-year-old actor admits it was “a little disorientating” seeing himself play a role in 2016 that he did 40 years ago but insists there is no reason why a character couldn’t be digitally created after the actor passed.
Speaking to documentary maker Jamie Stangroom, he added: “Movies are about fooling people into believing there’s a reality going on, and it’s all about how well you do that. It’s irrelevant if you are actually there.
“I’m in Rogue One, but I did that 40 years ago, but it doesn’t really matter. What matters is the fact people are watching and going, ‘Yeah that’s cool.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are to team up for a new film.
The 80s action stars – who have always played characters at war with each other on screen – have joined action film ‘Black Water’, where they will play characters which stand side by side with each other.
The script – penned by Chad Law – follows the story of a deep cover operative, played by Van Damme, who finds himself stuck in a CIA black site in a submarine.
Lundgren is expected to play a character which will help the operative get of the sticky situation he has found himself in.
The movie – which has yet to have a director attached to it – is expected to be released in 2018 at the earliest, whilst filming will begin sometime this year.
Richard Switzer of Dawn’s Light is set to produce with Tyler Konney whilst Alexander Ferguson and Jason Cherubini have been named as executive producers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Van Damme and Lundgren have a long film history together, having starred in 1992’s ‘Universal Soldier’ and more recently in ‘The Expendables 2’.
Elsewhere, Van Damme has just wrapped filming on ‘Kickboxer Retaliation’ – where he reprises his role as Muay Thai trainer Master Durand – and ‘Kill’em All’, which is said to be a mix between ‘Die Hard’ and ‘The Usual Suspects’.
Meanwhile, Lundgren has been busy with action movies ‘Dead Trigger’ and ‘Altitude’ as well as a few television shows including ‘Broken Sidewalk’. He also recently made an appearance in three episodes of US action crime series ‘Arrow’.

And in India, he was best-known for his performances in films like ‘Ardh Satya’, ‘Sadgati’, ‘Paar’ and the satirical ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’.
In Twitter posts made two weeks ago, Puri had reflected on his life and career, stating: “I have no regrets at all. I have done quite well for myself. I didn’t have a conventional face, but I have done well, and I am proud of it. I have been in the film industry for 35 years, and everyone, including the spot-boys, will vouch for my character – Om Puri.”

Marvin Humes banned from Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Marvin Humes isn’t allowed to enter the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The former JLS singer has been banned from taking part in the reality TV show by his close friend Emma Willis – who presents the series on Channel 5 – because she’s worried people would “eat him alive” and she feels very “protective” of him.
She explained: “Marv can’t go in the ‘Celeb Big Brother’ house because he’s Marv. I wouldn’t want them to eat him alive and I would be protective!”
The 40-year-old presenter is devastated Marvin won’t be joining her to host ‘The Voice’, who she worked with last year on the singing show, this year following its move to ITV and has admitted she “desperately” misses her former co-host.
She told the Digital Spy: “We hung out together, so I miss having him and his team because we’re all mates and we hang out, but we never filmed together at this point in the show anyway. But when we started doing the battles, I really missed him, and when we go live I will desperately miss him.”
And while the pair won’t be presenting the forthcoming series together, the brunette beauty has already sent the radio DJ a string of messages.
She said: “I’ve literally just sent him a message. It is weird. I don’t think he’s missing it though – he’s in the Maldives! I think I’ve sent them three messages now going, ‘Stop putting these pictures up on Instagram, you’re making me feel sick!’ But I just sent him a message actually, saying, ‘I miss you today’.”
And with the star now having the full-time presenting responsibility to herself, she revealed she is yet to receive a pay rise.
She added: “I thought I’d inherit Marv’s fee but I haven’t – perhaps he’s still getting it?”

Heidi Montag wants a baby in 2017

OHMYGOSSIP — Heidi Montag wants a baby this year.
The former ‘The Hills’ star and her husband Spencer Pratt could conceive their first child in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house as she is “hopeful” they will have a baby in 2017.
Speaking to Faithwire last year, she shared: “I am writing a coffee table wife type of book. It’s more like a fun project, something I enjoy doing, and then I’m getting ready to be a mom hopefully next year …
“You know, I had to pray to get my husband to even agree to have a kid, and so this whole journey over the last few years … I have had to do.”
The couple – who were the first celebrities to enter the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house on Tuesday (03.01.17) -have impressed on the reality programme so far and were initially part of team of All Stars selected to decide which celebrity they wanted to “edit out” of the show and banish to the garden.
Along with other contestants – including Coleen Nolan and Calum Best – Heidi and Spencer opted to edit out ‘X Factor USA’ star Stacy Francis and then later actor James Cosmo.
It comes after it was claimed that Heidi and Spencer would consider not taking part in the show if their demands were not met.
Speaking before the launch, which took place on Tuesday (03.01.17), a source shared: “We’re hours away from launch and now Speidi have thrown a spanner in the works. They’re clearly up to their old tricks again.”

Downton Abbey cast asked to clear schedules for film

OHMYGOSSIP — The cast of ‘Downton Abbey’ have been asked to clear their diaries to shoot a film of the hit period drama.
Jim Carter – who portrayed Mr Carson in the ITV programme – has teased that a big screen adaptation of the popular series is definitely in the pipeline for the near future as bosses have been in touch with him and his former co-stars about making sure they’re free to shoot the scenes later this year.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Thursday (05.01.17), he said: “We’ve been asked to keep ourselves available for dates in the future. But nobody has seen a script.”
Joanne Froggatt – who portrayed Anna Smith in the period drama for five years – set tongues wagging last year when she revealed that Julian Fellowes had penned the script for the forthcoming blockbuster.
She said at the time: “We’ve all heard this rumour – the cast – that the script has been written.
“There’s a hard copy somewhere but none of us have seen it or know what’s in it.
“So we’ll all keep out fingers crossed that it all comes together. We’re all willing it to happen. I’d absolutely jump at the chance to star in it if I’m asked. I’ll squeeze it in.”
However, although the script is still a mystery, Michael Fox – who played Andy Parker – confirmed Dame Maggie Smith will reprise her role as Violet Crawley when the blockbuster eventually hits the big screen.
He said: “She elevates it to something else, because she is such a legend and a national treasure. The film without her would still be good with all the other actors, but it puts a stamp of quality with her in it.”
Viewers were thrown into mourning in 2015 when ‘Downton…’ came to a dramatic end following five years on screen but creator Julian has always shared his burning desire to turn the drama into a film.
However, the 67-year-old director hinted that he was waiting on vital cast members – believed to be Hugh Bonneville and Michelle Dockery – to free up their schedules.
He said recently: “Let’s just say it’s not me slowing things down. The difficulty is rounding up the actors. One is in America making a new series, another is in a play … My lips are sealed! It’s very unlikely there won’t be a film because there is an audience out there for it. I do hope there is going to be a ‘Downton Abbey’ film. It’s going to be fun once everything is sorted but we just need to restructure it.”
It’s believed filming for the movie will kick off later this year.

Bianca Gascoigne: Paul needs to go to rehab 'for a long time'

OHMYGOSSIP — Bianca Gascoigne thinks her stepfather Paul needs to go to rehab “for a long time”.
The 30-year-old model opened up about the former footballer – who has battled with alcohol addiction on and off for an extended period of time – in a frank conversation with Nicola McLean in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
When Nicola told Bianca how much of a “legend” her stepfather is, the blonde beauty admitted she feels that is why her mother Sheryl always gets blamed for his ill health.
She said: “She is still helping him even now, every day. She’s been a bit of a scapegoat. He’s a big part of our lives. We love him. If I could wave a magic wand then I would do it.”
Nicola agreed, adding: “It’s the worst disease, alcoholism.”
And when asked how she thinks he could get better, Bianca confessed: “He needs to be put in a rehab for a long time. I have fingers and toes and eyelashes crossed.”
It comes after Bianca previously insisted she won’t be talking about her father because it’s private.
She explained: “There’s been various stories written about me and my relationship with my dad which I feel has put me at a disadvantage. I try not to speak about my father. I found out about a particular story which claimed to have had direct quotes from me but was completely fabricated.”
Meanwhile, Bianca previously insisted she earns her own money and doesn’t rely on her father for hand outs.
She said: “I have a fantastic job, earn my own money and always have … I’m really excited to do the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ which I’ve been a fan off for many years. I just want people to see the real me.”

Helen Flanagan is having acting lessons

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Flanagan has been having acting lessons.
The 26-year-old actress has just reprised her role as bitchy Rosie Webster in ‘Coronation Street’ – in scenes that are yet to air – but, despite having over 16 years of screen experience under her belt, the brunette beauty recently hired an acting coach to help her get back into the swing of things following her five-year break away from set.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Helen was hesitant about returning to ‘Corrie’ after a five-year break. But she wanted to give it her best shot so she’s had acting lessons as a way of building her confidence and preparing herself. One of the reasons she quit in 2012 was because she was suffering from panic attacks. She took up acting lessons then, to keep her acting up during her break, and has recently stepped them up ahead of the ‘Corrie’ return. It has helped to settle her nerves.”
Helen – who joined the soap when she was 10 years old – left the cobbles because she wanted to focus on her health following a series of panic attacks on set but she has since had a daughter called Matilda, now 17 months, with her partner Scott Sinclair.
She was initially undecided about whether she wanted to return to the programme because she didn’t want to leave her daughter – who she co-sleeps with – too early.
But it seems the new show boss Kate Oates managed to get her own way as she coaxed Helen back with a gripping storyline, which will see her bolshie alter ego return to her family home with her sister Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) as a drugs mule.
She said recently: “I’m so excited to be returning to ‘Coronation Street’ and being part of the Webster family again.”

Sir Ridley Scott spotted a star in Tom Hardy

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Ridley Scott knew Tom Hardy was going to be a big star from the first moment they worked together.
The 79-year-old director cast the 39-year-old actor in his 2001 war movie ‘Black Hawk Down’ and although Hardy only had a small role in the Oscar-winning film he could see straight away what potential he had to be a leading man on the big screen.
Scott told the Metro newspaper: “I always remember Tom who claimed he was a rapper. I always registered the person who, while having a relatively small part, knew exactly what to do – he always made the right decisions, the right choices.”
Scott is proud of the fact that he was the first film director to cast him in a big screen project.
He said: “I think I may have given him his first job.”
Since appearing as Spc. Lance Twombly in ‘Black Hawk Down’ Hardy has gone on to become one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors appearing in box office hits such as Batman blockbuster ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘The Revenant’.
The pair have reunited for new BBC TV drama ‘Taboo’, which stars Hardy in the lead role and sees Scott act as a producer.
Scott’s next movie release is ‘Prometheus’ sequel ‘Alien: Covenant’ which hits cinemas in May and he has worked as executive producer on ‘Blade Runner 2049’, the science fiction follow-up to his 1982 cult classic which hits cinemas in October.

Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio's Titanic smooch voted best film kiss of all time

OHMYGOSSIP — The smooch between Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in ‘Titanic’ has been voted the best film kiss of all time.
The pair famously locked lips as their characters Jack Dawson and
Rose DeWitt Bukater as they stood on the bow of the doomed passenger liner in James Cameron’s epic 1997 disaster movie and now the tender moment has come out on top in a poll conducted by TV channel TLC to find people’s favourite cinematic snog.
Jack and Rose kiss on the front deck shortly after Rose utters the famous line “I’m flying” with her arms spread wide open, Jack then joins Rose in the embrace, and as he holds her tight, they kiss.
A spokesman for TLC, who conducted the poll of 2,000 British adults, said: “Kisses are such a big part of movies so it’s fascinating to see which ones have had the biggest impact. For many people, their first experience of a ‘proper’ kiss is likely to have been seeing one on screen. So perhaps respondents had a sense of nostalgia when it came to voting for their favourites.”
The scene from the Oscar-winning film beat Disney classic ‘Lady and the Tramp’ – which features the sweet canine canoodle as the two adorable dogs’ snouts meet whilst eating a string of spaghetti – into second place.
The iconic kiss between Patrick Swayze as Sam and Demi Moore’s Molly in ‘Ghost’ came third.
The fire escape kiss between Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in ‘Pretty Woman’ was voted fourth, followed by the snog at the end of ‘Dirty Dancing’ in fifth spot.
Other entries in the top 10 included the smooch between Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy in ‘Bridget Jones’ Diary’ and the upside down kiss in ‘Spider-Man’.
Han Solo and Princess Leia’s embrace in ‘Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back’ from 1980 rounded off the list.
The poll was conducted by TLC to celebrate the launch of its new TV show, ‘Love At First Kiss’, which will air on Wednesdays at 9pm from January 11.
Clare Laycock, Head of TLC, said: “In ‘Love At First Kiss’, participants are invited to kiss fellow contestants without an introduction. If they like each other, they can then choose to go on a speed date followed by a proper date – so first impressions really count. “The iconic kisses featured in our survey may well give romantic singletons some inspiration and encouragement. Many of us will experience a nerve-wracking or exciting first encounter … and perhaps one that isn’t quite as perfect as we see in films.”
Top 10 film kisses of all time:
1. ‘Titanic’
2. ‘Lady and the Tramp’
3. ‘Ghost’
4. ‘Pretty Woman’
5. ‘Dirty Dancing’
6. ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’
7. ‘Spider-Man’
8. ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’
9. ‘Gone with the Wind’
10. ‘The Empire Strikes Back’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jedward are rumoured to enter ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ on Friday (06.01.17).
The 25-year-old twin brothers – whose real names are John and Edward Grimes – appeared on series eight of the popular show in 2011 and are set to make a surprise comeback on the Channel 5 programme this evening, and the pair are pitted to be the new “power duo of the house”.
Speaking about the brothers – who became a recognised household name in 2009 after appearing on ‘The X Factor’ – a source told The Sun Online: “Love them or hate them, Jedward are compulsive viewing.
“And while some of the housemates are going to be familiar with them and what they’re like, the chances are the Americans will be in for a shock.
“It’s going to be great to see them getting to know Speidi [Spencer and Heidi Pratt] – they think they’re the power duo of the house, but that could quickly change.”
Although Jedward’s return has yet to be confirmed, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ producers teased the news two new additions are due to enter the pop-art style abode in London’s Elstree on Tuesday (03.01.17).
Whilst the identity of the newcomers remain “top secret”, it is believed they will bring with them “tension and drama”.
