Zack Snyder: Wonder Woman will be 'fully evolved' in Justice League

OHMYGOSSIP — Zack Snyder says Wonder Woman will be “fully evolved” in ‘Justice League’.
The 50-year-old director is helming the DC Comics ensemble movie – which will see the likes of Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), the Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) join forces to defeat the evil Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) – and has said that the female superhero, played by Gal Gadot, will become a more rounded character throughout her upcoming standalone movie ‘Wonder Woman’, and will be fully formed by the time she unites with the rest of the ‘Justice League’ cast.
Speaking to newspaper USA Today, Zack said of the character: “[Humanity] has its moments, but it can be brutal, and her coming to terms with that dichotomy is what we come to learn about her. And in ‘Justice League’, she’s fully evolved into someone who’s embraced mankind, partly through Superman’s sacrifice. She’s like, ‘All right, I’ve got to pick it up.'”
However, as Zack is not heading up the standalone movie – which will instead be directed by Patty Jenkins – he revealed no further details about the character’s plot, and it is unknown how evolved as character she will be by the end of ‘Wonder Woman’, or at the start of ‘Justice League’.
Wonder Woman was created in 1971 by William Moulton Marston, whose character comes from the all-female fictional paradise of Themyscira in the Amazon.
Though she was initially written to test the reaction of fans to a female superhero in the DC comics universe, her popularity grew quickly and she got her own storyline just one year later.
‘Justice League: Part 1’ will be released on November 17, 2017.

Lily Collins didn't tell dad about singing in Rules Don't Apply

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Collins didn’t tell her father that she would be singing in ‘Rules Don’t Apply’.
The 27-year-old daughter of Phil Collins stars in the Warren Beatty-directed movie as aspiring actress Marla Mabrey and decided to surprise her father by letting him discover the scene for himself.
She told The Wrap: “We sang it live – so there was no track to have to mimic – which I thought was amazing because I could be in the moment in every different take that we did.
“But at the same time, Marla is a songwriter – not a singer – so I got to use the excuse of, well, if my voice cracks as Lily, or I’m nervous, Marla would have been. Like, it’s totally fine.
“I didn’t tell my dad about the song until it was out in the trailer. I didn’t share what it sounded like. I didn’t give him any hints or anything. So I think that was kind of a surprise, which was fun.”
Beatty also stars as reclusive Howard Hughes in the movie, which tells the story of the relationship between two young employees of his, an actress (Collins) and a driver (Alden Ehrenreich) and Lily previously admitted it was a long time before he told her if she had the role or not.
Speaking previously, Lily said: “From our first meeting to the second, it was a couple of months, a long process of just meeting and talking about life. And then, finally, reading the script.
“I still had no idea if I was doing the movie. There was never an audition, just a month of hanging out and chatting. I think Warren reads people. He’s a great judge of character. He was auditioning me in a way through just meeting me. That’s part of his brilliance. He knows what he’s looking for. I feel it totally mirrored my character – and I don’t know if that was on purpose! Marla just wants to please Howard Hughes, and is just waiting and waiting.”

DJ Brandon Block rushed to hospital

OHMYGOSSIP — Brandon Block was rushed to hospital with “chest pains” last week.
The DJ was removed from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house on Thursday (05.01.17) after complaining of feeling unwell and when the show’s medical staff were unable to diagnose the problem, he was taken to hospital.
Brandon’s removal from the house was not aired on TV and his medical issues were not mentioned.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “Brandon wasn’t well at all. It was pretty serious.
“He immediately saw the medics that were on standby at the house.
“But there were concerns his condition could worsen and could even become critical so it was decided he needed to go to hospital.”
However, a message on his Twitter account played down the incident, stating: “Checked in with producers last night and It’s been a bit fabricated! The tests were routine (sic).”
The 49-year-old musician was popular in the 80s and 90s and is the founding member of techno group The Aloof.
He famously stormed the BRIT Awards in 2000 after his drunken mates told him he was to collect an award and he allegedly got into an altercation with Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood at the star-studded bash.
He has also been open about his past cocaine addiction, which saw him spend £2,000 a day feeding his habit.
A source previously said: “Brandon was a huge name in 90s.
“He was on radio constantly and his hard-partying ways were all over the papers.
“Not only was he a successful DJ but also a big producer throughout the 80s, too. When ‘CBB’ offered him a spot this year he was well up for it.”

Danielle Lloyd to get married on beach

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd wants to get married on a beach.
The 33-year-old former glamour model – who was previously wed to Jamie O’Hara – has her heart set on a low-key intimate ceremony abroad surrounded by her friends and family when she gets hitched to her boyfriend Michael O’Neill next year.
Speaking to Star magazine, she said: “It’s going to be really chilled out this time, on a beach, with lots of drinks. We’re doing it just for me and Michael and that’s it.”
The brunette beauty is only planning on having her close friends and family with her when she and Michael exchange vows but she’s also banned everyone from taking cameras with them because she wants her big day to feel “real.”
She explained: “We only want a few people there and we don’t want to ask guests just to get a magazine deal. That isn’t the reason we’re doing it.”
However, although the nuptials will be small, she’s adamant they won’t be boring.
She added: “We want everyone to get really drunk and have lots of fun. We don’t want to take it too seriously.”
Danielle recently appeared on the TV show ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ in search of the perfect gown for her big day and she’s thrilled she agreed to do it.
She said: “It was a brilliant thing to be involved in. It was nice to get such amazing advice.”

GBBO to return to screens this year?

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Great British Bake Off’ will return to TV screens this year.
Casting sessions for the upcoming eighth season of the show will take place “imminently” and Channel 4 will air the series following its recent move from the BBC.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Channel 4 and Love Productions who produce the show are keen to have a package ready to go as soon as possible.
“Casting starts today (08.01.17) with all applications for the eighth series having been sent in over the last month and as well as wanting to know about any criminal convictions or emotional family stories in the questionnaire, contenders for filming are being asked when they could film over a summer block of weekends.”
However, Channel 4 may find themselves slapped with a hefty bill as the contract between the BBC and Love Productions states that nothing can air in 2017, except a celebrity version for Stand Up To Cancer on Channel 4, or they could sue them.
The insider said: “Ultimately hands are tied by contracts but there’s no doubt viewers want more ‘Bake Off’ back in their lives and won’t like having to wait an extra year to get it.”
Host Paul Hollywood previously revealed he had doubled his salary by moving to Channel 4, when it poached the show from the BBC, but co-star Mary Berry decided to remain loyal to the BBC.
Paul said: “Would you work across the road? If you could double your wages, by going across the road to a rival, would you?
“I’d be happy for the BBC to release the figure to say how much I was paid, but I can’t do that.
“Do I deserve more money than I was on? I think everybody needs to get more money. Inflation has gone up. If I get more money, that’s great news. That’s great news.
“Mary [Berry] will never be the villain. I will always be a villain. I was sort of expecting it. But when it hit me, it was like an express train. I haven’t murdered anyone. But I think the Yorkshire Ripper got less press than I did.”

Aaron Taylor-Johnson almost turned down Nocturnal Animals role

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Taylor-Johnson almost turned down his role in ‘Nocturnal Animals’.
Although has gone on to be nominated for a Golden Globe award for his performance, Aaron – who has two daughters with wife Sam Taylor Johnson and is also stepfather to her two daughters from a previous marriage – admitted he was hesitant to take on the part of rapist and murderer Ray Marcus.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I was very hesitant about this role. I’m a father to daughters, so I didn’t relate to the character. I was shocked that Tom Ford even thought of me for it. Later on in interviews he said there was some kind of charisma, some kind of edge that he saw in me. So when I first spoke with him, I asked, ‘What’s your vision for this? How do you see this [scene] happening?’ Tom is so eloquent about everything he wants and feels, it became instantly obvious that I wanted to be a part of this film, no matter how challenging it would be. I could put my trust in him and he’d guide me through. I’m not everybody’s first choice for a role like this. But it was a nice way to show versatility and something different.”
And Aaron did a lot of research for the part.
He explained: “My job was to manipulate and provoke Jake Gyllenhaal’s character, to get a reaction out of him. In the three months prior to making the movie, I spent a lot of time researching psychopaths and serial killers and watching documentaries on Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer and Charles Manson. They all have something in common, and it’s that they’re very charismatic and charming and unpredictable. This guy was unpredictable.”

Anna Kendrick has no plan

OHMYGOSSIP — Anna Kendrick has no career plan.
The 31-year-old actress thinks she needs to start setting out clear goals and a path for herself as she keeps finding herself inundated with work and no time for a break.
She said: “There is no f***ing plan. I feel like I should get one, because that’s why I end up in these situations where I’m shooting movies back-to-back and I don’t want to stretch myself so thin that I’m not doing good work.”
But one thing that Anna knows isn’t in her plans is a fourth turn at playing Beca in the ‘Pitch Perfect’ franchise, because she thinks the final movie, which is due to be released later this year, will be the final installment in the series.
She said: “It feels like a trilogy, but I don’t know – maybe that’s what they said about ‘Fast & Furious’.”
However, the brunette beauty has promised fans of the musical series won’t be disappointed by the third film.
She added to Britain’s Glamour magazine: “The cast is really committed to the hardcore fans. Girls send us fan art, they’ll talk to each other via our Twitter pages – we want to make it great for them.”
And ‘The Accountant’ actress already takes steps not to end up typecast.
She said: “You don’t have to be an entertainment genius to know that right after ‘Pitch Perfect’ comes out, you don’t play a sardonic college girl again, you know.”

Amanda Mealing almost died under sand

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Mealing almost suffocated after she was buried alive for a stunt in ‘Casualty’.
The 48-year-old actress thought she was going to die after her alter-ego Connie Beauchamp and her on-screen boyfriend Jacob Masters (Chucky Venn) got trapped when a building collapsed on them last year as part of a huge gripping storyline.
She told Inside Soap magazine: “I didn’t really enjoy the episode where Connie and Jacob got buried in sand! We organised a system where I was holding on to a rope under the sand, and one of our crew would pull me out when I gave the signal. I held my breath for as long as I could but then the guy on the rope was so keen and so strong that he pulled the rope right out of my hand! All I could hear was people yelling, ‘Get her out of the sand!’ I really thought I was going to die because I’d run out of air.”
Connie and Jacob eventually struck up a relationship after months of ignoring their love but their romance was recently thrown into jeopardy after the doctor’s daughter Grace (Emily Carey) suffered brain damage following a nasty car accident late last year.
And Amanda has teased that things may go even more down hill for the pair this year.
Asked who she thinks out of Connie’s love interests who suits her best, she explained: “Oh, Jacob! There’s no question. And the fans seem to think so, too. He’s an alpha male and she’s an alpha female, so I do think they’re the best couple. Although there may be trouble ahead for them…”

James Cosmo OK with Celebrity Big Brother nomination

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Celebrity Big Brother’s James Cosmo isn’t bothered about being the first housemate to be nominated for eviction.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actor – who has been “edited out” of the show in his first few days in the house – will definitely face the first nomination of the series after Angie Best chose to save DJ Brandon Block.
Speaking to Big Brother in the diary room in scenes that aired on Saturday’s (07.01.17) edition of the show, James said: “If they didn’t want to save me from nomination, that’s their decision. I’m OK with that, I really am.”
Asked if he thinks the impending nominations will cause friction among the housemates, he added: “Whether the housemates like it or not, [nominations] do change your perception of people. It’s like, ‘Oh they want me to go.’
“It’ll be difficult for some of them to take that calmly and say, ‘Hey, listen, it’s not personal.’ I think a lot of them will take it very personally and as I said, it will get heated very quickly. I think the next nomination, the next couple of days after that, you’re going to see some real confrontations.”
And whilst in the diary room, Jamie O’Hara discussed the nomination process before opening up about why he thinks the other housemates opted to save Bianca Gascoigne and Ray J.
He shared: “Bianca’s cute and I felt like she was really nervous about the whole situation today.
“And Ray J, I know he’s had a bit of a slip up but for me, he’s a great character and I like the way he is and the stuff he comes up with. And for me, I think, he’s going to be the star.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Austin Armacost admitted he was considering quitting the show in an emotional chat with Coleen Nolan and Bianca.
He confessed: “From the start I’m not having a good time. This is so unlike me … Where does it stop? I don’t want to go in there and cry. I think you can tell when I’m there and I’m loving it but when I’m not, it’s weighing so heavy on me now.”
Coleen pleaded with Austin not to walk but he admitted: “I can’t say that won’t be a possibility at this point.”
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will continue on Sunday evening (08.01.17).

Heidi Montag blasted by CBB co-star Austin Armacost

OHMYGOSSIP — Heidi Montag and Austin Armacost had a huge row on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ over water bottles.
Model Austin was furious after Heidi and her husband Spencer Pratt hid the drinks under their bed, leading to a bizarre row which saw Austin taken to the Diary Room by producers in order to calm down.
He raged: “You can’t send people to bed thirsty! Like what they’re doing.
“It is so sickening to me. What is happening?”
And when he started rummaging through their belongings for the drink, Heidi said: “We don’t have any more water. Please don’t go back into our bed. It’s all gone.”
When Spencer said, “I didn’t realise it said Austin’s water. Let me apologise,” Austin fired back with “You’re a f**king idiot!”
Once Austin returned from the Diary Room, Spencer insisted it was his idea to take the water and Heidi had nothing to do with it.
He said: “Heidi didn’t take any of the water. I didn’t know it said Austin’s water, I wouldn’t want to take Austin’s water!”
However, Austin was still furious and stormed out to the garden to complain to the other housemates.
He said: “Can we be done now with saying that they’re actually alright?”

Gemma Collins' weightloss inspiration

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins was inspired to do ‘Sugar Free Farm’ by James ‘Arg’ Argent.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star – who dated her ex-co-star on and off throughout 2012 – watched the 29-year-old reality TV star take part in the weightloss programme last year and felt it would be a good opportunity for her to pursue this year.
Speaking to Star magazine, she explained: “I was looking for a new adventure and I thought how lovely it would be to get away from Essex and live a rural life.
“Although the only time I’d stepped on to a farm was on a day trip with school, I watched the last series because James Argent was in it.”
However, the blonde bombshell, who has lost 11lbs on the show, clearly didn’t watch that much of the programme as she didn’t realise they had to work on a farm.
She said: “He [the farmer] kept shouting at me, ‘Gemma do it!’, and then the producer said, ‘Gemma, you’re here to actually work.’ I nearly had a breakdown and I asked them to call my agent, but I swiftly realised I’d better keep my mouth shut and get on with it.
“I thought farm life was going to be full of Dallas Cowboys. When I realised the men were toothless and weathered because they’re outside all day long, my love affair with becoming a farmer’s wife swiftly ended.”
Before she joined the reality TV show, Gemma used to down 14 cans of fizzy drinks but is now committed to keeping the weight off and remaining healthy.
She added: “Before, I was addicted to energy drinks and diet cola, and I’d just grab food on the go, so I went in with an open mind. At first I thought we were eating so much food there was no way I’d lose weight, but I ended up dropping 11lb.”

Carrie Fisher thrilled by Rogue One role

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Fisher was thrilled that her character Princess Leia appeared in ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.
The 60-year-old actress – who died last month after suffering a heart attack – was heavily involved in the filming process, which involved having actress Ingvild Deila stand in for her before the special effects team imposed elements of Fisher into the frames.
Lucasfilm chief creative officer/visual effects supervisor John Knoll told ABC News: “She was involved in the process and, you know, she saw the final result and she loved it.
‘I got a call afterwards from Kathy [Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy] saying, ‘Well, Carrie loved it’.
“We had really good scans of her and … we matched a couple of frames very exactly with our CG model and then sort of bounced back and forth between our render and the archival frame.”
And John told Buzzfeed that Kathleen said Carrie “squealed with delight” while watching the footage.
However, he added that he has no idea how filmmakers plan to proceed with Carrie’s character following the actress’ sudden death.
He said: “They wrapped principal photography on ‘Episode VIII’ about six months ago, so they’ve shot her whole role. I know that they were expecting her to have a pretty sizable role in ‘Episode IX’, and now that’s all going to be changed. But I don’t know what the plans are.
“I haven’t been involved in any conversation about a technological solution.”

Milla Jovovich: Resident Evil: The Final Chapter was almost scrapped

OHMYGOSSIP — Milla Jovovich revealed that ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ was almost scrapped after Olivia Jackson’s freak accident.
The 41-year-old actress – who starred as protagonist Alice in the highly anticipated horror franchise – told how the producers almost pulled “the plug” on the final production of the popular horror when stuntwoman Olivia crashed in to a metal camera arm during a motorbike action sequence, which left her severely injured on the first day of work in 2015.
She said: “We were going to pull the plug on production, period; it was close. It happened on the first day of principal photography.”
The freak accident left Olivia with serious head injuries and in a medically induced coma for two weeks. She also had a punctured lung and eventually had to have an arm amputated, leaving the film crew with no choice but to replace her, which Milla insisted had been difficult to do.
She told Collider: “She’s so amazing that it’s taken three people to replace one Olivia, like the one that can do the motorcycle, the one that can do this stunt, the one that can do that stunt. I mean she is a powerhouse. For one of her you need multiple other people so you know she was really the best stuntwoman in this part of the world and it has been very difficult to replace her.”
And the star – who met her director husband Paul W. S. Anderson on the set of the first film in 2002 – insisted she was gutted that the popular movie series was coming to an end after 14 years and she will miss playing her lead role as the “female Clint Eastwood”.
Milla added: “I will definitely miss this experience it’s not just my character though I love sort of playing the female Clint Eastwood, which I found so exhilarating.
“I love Clint Eastwood, and to sort of do that Dirty Harry thing over and over has been really really fun and I love that people buy it and that I can sell it in a believable way.”

Tom Jones claims Voice contestant flopped because of her weight

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Tom Jones claims that ‘The Voice’ winner Leanne Mitchell flopped because she was too fat.
Although Leanne, 33, won the first series of the show in 2012 and signed a record deal, she failed to find chart success and her mentor Tom, 76, believes her weight was a factor.
He said: “Leanne Mitchell, the girl who won the first one – she was singing at a holiday camp and she still is. And she wasn’t bothered much.
“When she first came on the show, I thought about [her] trimming down a bit but she had gotten comfortable in this holiday camp and she’d put on some weight from it – from what she was when she was younger and from footage from when she had a record deal from years before.
“[She took] the opportunity of winning ‘The Voice’ and a chance of getting a record deal which she did, but she put on more weight, got more comfortable with the boyfriend who then maybe became her husband.”
Tom also claimed that Leanne did not have the “drive” to become a success.
Speaking at the launch of the new series, Tom told The Sun: “She didn’t have the drive. It didn’t seem like she grabbed hold of it with both hands and said ‘This is my chance now.
“Because she’d had a chance a few years before that and it didn’t pan out because she didn’t want it. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that but that’s the reason.
“She had everything there; she’s a good-looking girl, she has a tremendous voice but you have to have that desire. If you just want to sing at a holiday camp that’s what you’ll do and that’s what she is doing.
“She’s satisfied with that so you have to have it within yourself even though you have all the help from the coaches and the show itself, and with all that exposure, you’ve got to still want it. And then you will do something with it.”

Tom Hardy addresses Star Wars speculation

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hardy has addressed reports he will play a Stormtrooper in the new ‘Star Wars’ movie.
The 39-year-old actor refused to confirm if he will be involved in the franchise but did not rule himself out completely.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said: “I don’t know if I can even say that…the internet is a glorious web of deceit and misinformation, isn’t it?”
When asked if the report was misinformation, he replied, “It could be, couldn’t it?”
Meanwhile, Tom was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category at the 2016 Oscars for his role in ‘The Revenant’, but admitted he was relieved when he lost out to Mark Rylance.
He said: “It was a lot to take in and lots of nerves, and I was extremely grateful to have not had my name called out. When Mark Rylance won, I was like, ‘Yeah’.
“I didn’t expect to win and was really grateful that I didn’t because it would be really terrifying to have to speak. I’m not ready for that. I get very scared of being exposed. … You’re not a character [on that stage]. And a lot of people have a sophisticated persona but I don’t. I haven’t paid enough attention on that front.
“There’s a certain etiquette that comes with a very well-trained public persona, and I’ll probably get better as I get older but there’s a lack of filter for me in conversation.”
Tom also addressed his “dark” reputation and admitted he has been a “d**k” in the past.
He said: “There’s this myth, which is quite asinine, that circulates about me – usually by those who haven’t worked with me. There’s only one thing worse than being talked about and that’s not being talked about in this game so I’d rather it be that, I guess. But there are other people who I work with consistently who know that’s not the case – who just wouldn’t risk having somebody like that in their midst because there’s too much at stake. Obviously, you’re going to rub people the wrong way … and I’ve been a d**k. But then, who hasn’t?”
