Nina Dobrev demanded stunts in xXx: Return of Xander Cage

OHMYGOSSIP — Nina Dobrev persuaded ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ director D.J. Caruso to let her shoot some action scenes to impress her friends.
The ‘Vampire Diaries’ actress plays the character of agent Becky Clearidge, a witty and sarcastic techie, alongside Vin Diesel who reprises his role as the titular daredevil operative.
In in the initial script, Dobrev, 28, didn’t have many stunts or any gun fights so she took it upon herself to speak to Caruso about giving her some kick-ass scenes.
The brunette beauty – who suffered a nasty graze and severe bruising to her left thigh whilst filming one sequence, an injury she proudly shared with her Twitter followers – explained: “I spoke to the director and said, ‘Come on, dude. I can’t film this movie and have it come out in a year and have my friends see it and make fun of me because it’s such a cool, big, action movie and I’m in the corner cowering the whole time. Give me a gun: let’s think of something!’ We shot it and it ended up making it in.”
‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ is the third film in the ‘xXx’ franchise and it also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ruby Rose, Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa.
Coming out of self-imposed exile after being approached by the CIA, Cage must recruit a new team of operatives to help him tackle villain Xiang (Yen) and his team as they race to capture a device that can hijack military satellites.
Dobrev admits she felt nervous meeting Diesel, 49, on her first day on set but that actually helped with her character.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, she said: “My first day of shooting I was still a little bit nervous, but it worked because my character is supposed to be awkward – so my nerves lent themselves beautifully to the scene!”
‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ hits cinemas on Friday (20.01.17).

Loose Women to get more male panellists?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Loose Women’ is set to get more male panellists this year.
Bosses slowly started to introduce male presenters – including Peter Andre and Craig Revel Horwood – on the lunchtime show last year and it looks like it’s been such a hit with viewers that they’re trying to get more celebrity men to agree to join the series.
Linda Robson – who has sat on the panel on and off since 2003 – told the Daily Star newspaper: “We won’t be doing it every week but it’ll be happening quite a lot. Maybe we will do it every month – I think it really works. It depends on who they choose as the men. But Judge Rinder went down really well.”
Although the fate of celebrity panellists are in the hands of the producers, Linda has admitted she’d really like to see motor-mouth Russell Brand sit alongside her.
She explained: “I’d love to have Russell Brand on to do it. He’d be a great Loose Man and I’d like Sean Bean. I think he would be honest.”
And the ‘Birds of a Feather’ star isn’t worried about an all-male panel show taking over and knocking the popular lunchtime series off screens because she doesn’t think men will be able to have as many heated debates as they do and people won’t tune in.
She said with a giggle: “I don’t think men open up as much as women so they won’t do it with an all-male panel. But it works when there are two men and two women on the panel because we coax the answers out of them.”

Broadchurch bosses use extreme security measures to stop script leak

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Broadchurch’ bosses installed high-tech security to protect series three’s ending from being leaked.
Stars of the ITV drama, David Tennant and Olivia Colman, were issued password protected scripts, encrypted documents and given false names when they received the story that was even branded with a digital watermark so that it could be traced if it was forwarded to a third party.
Sources say writer Chris Chibnall insisted on “complete radio silence” and told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Chris wants ‘Broadchurch’ to finish with a band, which is why he stepped up security. If anyone had let any plot details slip, it would be easy to find out where the leak came from. But the cast have maintained complete radio silence.”
David and Olivia will reprise their roles as Detective Inspector Alec Hardy and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller respectively following the conclusion of the second installment of the gritty series in February 2015.
This time they will be investigating a sexual assault following the murder of Danny Latimer [Oskar McNamara].
Chris said previously: “We’ve been overwhelmed that nine million people every week have continued to join us on the twists and turns of ‘Broadchurch’. This third chapter has been a glint in my eye for a long time and I’m thrilled to be writing these characters once again.”
Following Joe Miller’s (Matthew Gravelle) arrest for the murder of Latimer at the end of the first series, the character was found not guilty after his trial in the series two finale and viewers will now find out whether he follows his wife Ellie’s advice to leave the Dorset town and never come back.
Little else is known, except Arthur Darvill is to return as Reverend Paul Coates and former ‘Coronation Street’ star Julie Hesmondhalgh – who portrayed Hayley Cropper in the ITV soap opera between 1998 and 2014 – has been cast as Trish Winterman.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Apprentice’s Courtney Wood has threatened to dump Jessica Cunningham.
The businessman struck up a relationship with his co-star while competing on the reality TV show in the summer but he has admitted he won’t hesitate to call things off if she continues to outrageously flirt with Calum Best in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 29-year-old hunk said: “There was a bit of flirting with Calum and I’m completely cool with that – she’s a flirty person. But if anything more was to happen then we won’t be dating any more.”
But the heartthrob – who was runner up on Lord Sugar’s show last year – is determined to do all he can to save their new romance and has asked bosses if there’s a chance he can enter the infamous abode if Jessica’s behaviour progresses to another level.
He explained to the publication: “If it ramps up to anything more then get me in the house. I feel like I could provide some entertaining television.”
The couple have been dating for over half a year but were told to keep their blossoming love away from the spotlight until the business series had hit television screens.
Despite fan speculation, the duo didn’t confirm anything until they jetted off to Tenerife shortly after the festive season because they wanted to enjoy some alone time together without the cameras being on them and Jessica felt it was necessary she had a break from her three young children, whom she has from a previous relationship.
She said recently: “We have a lot of fun and have an amazing connection and whatever happens, he’ll always be in my life. But I don’t know how the romantic side will develop and I don’t think you should unnecessary pressure on it … I’m so busy with the kids and my business and everything that when I see Courtney I love it, because it feels so special. Today is the first time we’ve seen each other in 10 fays so that why I’m being really hyper. But I still get nervous in case we have nothing to say to each other.”

Tilly Keeper teases 'unmissable' EastEnders plot

OHMYGOSSIP — Tilly Keeper has teased an “unmissable” plot for her ‘EastEnders’ character Louise Mitchell.
The 19-year-old actress has been playing the daughter of Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) on the popular BBC soap since January 2016, and has teased a dramatic storyline set to take place on Monday (23.01.17).
She told The Sun Online: “I can’t say much at the minute. All I’ll say is that next week’s episodes are HUGE and unmissable.
“It was exciting to film and I can’t wait to see the audience’s reaction.
“I can’t say anything else! My lips are sealed. All I will say is make sure you tune in.”
Earlier this week, it was revealed that a horrific event is set to cause havoc in Walford and could see a popular character killed off in Albert Square, although soap’s bosses are keeping details under wraps.
The forthcoming episode starts off with a disruption on the market as stall owners, including Martin Fowler (James Bye), find out about plans for their businesses to be relocated away from the square.
However, the chaos soon unfolds as a life and death storyline unravels, which sees residents come together to save one and other, with one person potentially meeting their grizzly end amongst the drama.
An inside source said recently: “The ink is barely dry on Roxy and Ronnie’s death certificates, and now tragedy looks set to strike again! Lives are definitely on the line.”
Meanwhile, bosses are refusing to comment further on any “speculative stories”, as they don’t want to ruin the surprise for viewers.
An ‘EastEnders’ spokesperson said: “We know how much our audience hate to have any future storylines spoilt so we will not comment on speculative stories.”
Whilst another source confirmed: “‘EastEnders’ bosses are staying tight-lipped until the episode airs.
“What happens will be completely unexpected, and feel like a real bolt out of the blue.”
‘EastEnders’ fans can see the scenes kick off on Monday’s (23.01.17) episode on BBC One at 8pm.

Scarlett Moffatt reveals her NTA nerves

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt is worried about hosting the National Television Awards (NTAs).
The 26-year-old reality TV star has admitted to being anxious about presenting at the annual awards bash because of the unkind things she’s previously said about some of the celebrities on ‘Gogglebox’.
She confessed: “I’m a little bit nervous because I’ve done ‘Gogglebox’ for two and a half years and I don’t remember what I’ve said about them.”
But in mitigation, Scarlett claims to have matured a lot she since first emerged as a star on the Channel 4 programme.
She told ‘The One Show’: “Don’t judge me, I was a lot younger when I started.”
Among her many memorable quotes on ‘Googlebox’ were her comments on the contestants who appeared on ‘The Island with Bear Grylls’.
She said: “At university we used to drink our own wee all the time as dares – it’s nothing.”
Scarlett tried to explain to ‘One Show’ host Matt Baker what she meant by her original statement, saying: “To survive [on ‘The Island’] they had to drink urine. For initiations for the hockey team we had to do some things.
“I got a tip-off we had to drink our own wee, so I just drank a lot of water that day so mine was really just like warm water.”
However, Scarlett also admitted to being honoured at having been afforded the opportunity to host the NTAs, and revealed it will be her first-ever awards show.
The ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ winner said: “It’s unbelievable because I’ve never been to an awards ceremony.
“I was so overwhelmed. It’s so amazing.
“I love watching the NTAs and now I get to go backstage and find out all the gossip.”

D.J. Caruso reveals plan for G.I. Joe and Transformers cross-over movie

OHMYGOSSIP — D.J. Caruso has developed a cross-over movie featuring G.I. Joe and the Transformers.
The 52-year-old director has been working on a storyline that would see the two iconic franchises collide, but also admitted the plans are unlikely to come to fruition until fellow filmmaker Michael Bay has decided he is finished with the ‘Transformers’ movies.
Explaining Paramount’s position on the plan, D.J. said: “They’re not ready. That’s exactly what they should do but they’re not ready to do that because in fact the script that I was developing, the two worlds sort of collided at the end and when they read it they were like, ‘We’re not ready to do this yet.'”
But D.J. said it is a matter of time before the two storylines combine, explaining the studio is simply waiting for Michael’s approval.
He told Collider: “They will eventually collide those two worlds and it’s probably when Mr. Bay decides he’s done with ‘Transformers’.”
Earlier this month, meanwhile, D.J. said it’s unfair that action films are “overlooked” at awards shows.
The director, who recently helmed ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’, admitted to being frustrated by the lack of recognition for action films.
He said: “A lot of times, movies like this get overlooked … especially when you talk about stunt work, cinematography, special effects … a lot of these movies get looked over.”
The first ‘xXx’ film hit screens 15 years ago, but Caruso said the world is currently in need of a “rebel” like Xander.
He explained: “Now is the right time because of the zeitgeist of being a rebel and being who you are; sometimes you’re judged … right now the world is very accepting of being an individual and Xander is sort of great for the individuality.
“I feel like we need an action movie we can just sit back and have a good time with. We’re not changing the world!”

Sir Patrick Stewart to voice Poop in The Emoji Movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Patrick Stewart will voice the poop emoji in ‘The Emoji Movie’.
The 76-year-old actor is set to take on the role of the famous smiling pile of poo – simply named Poop – in the upcoming animated comedy that will see him star alongside TJ Miller and Ilana Glazer.
Sony Pictures announced the news via their Twitter account on Wednesday (18.01.17) when they wrote: “He ain’t no [party pooper]! So excited to announce the distinguished @SirPatStew as Poop in the #EmojiMovie – in theaters August 4th! #SonyAnimationDay (sic)”
‘The Emoji Movie’ follows the story of Gene (Miller), an emoji born with multiple expressions, who joins forces with the notorious code-breaker Jailbreak (Glazer) and heads off on an adventure through a teenager’s phone.
During Sony Pictures’ features presentation, director Tony Leondis said of the concept: “I know what you’re thinking — WTF.
“What is their story? Emoji are expected to be one thing their whole lives. So I thought, what if one was born with not one, but lots of expressions … and how would that affect the status quo?
“Everyone has felt different — it’s everyone’s story.”

They will be joining a previously announced cast made up of James Corden, who will voice Hi-5, Steven Wright as Mel Meh, and Rob Riggle as Ice Cream.

Jessica Cunningham's romance with Courtney Wood isn't romantic

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Cunningham doesn’t have a romantic relationship with Courtney Wood at the moment.
The ‘Apprentice’ finalist dropped jaws earlier this week when she began flirting up a storm with Calum Best in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house because she’s meant to be dating her former co-star but she has admitted that she and the hunk are nothing serious at the moment and are going with the flow.
Speaking to new! magazine prior to entering the house, Jessica said: “We have a lot of fun and have an amazing connection and whatever happens, he’ll always be in my life. But I don’t know how the romantic side will develop and I don’t think you should unnecessary pressure on it.”
The couple booked a last-minute holiday away together shortly after Christmas because they wanted to enjoy some alone time together without the cameras being on them and Jessica felt it was necessary she had a break from her three children, whom she has from a previous relationship.
She explained: “I’m so busy with the kids and my business and everything that when I see Courtney I love it, because it feels so special. Today is the first time we’ve seen each other in 10 fays so that why I’m being really hyper. But I still get nervous in case we have nothing to say to each other.”
The pair struck up their relationship while competing on the business show earlier this year and, although producers were happy for them to date, they banned them from having sex in the house.
Courtney said: “We were told by the producers that we weren’t allowed to have sex, but we certainly weren’t told off by anyone else.”

Xtra Factor axed

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Xtra Factor’ has been axed after 12 years.
The ‘X Factor’s sister show – which was broadcasted after the main show on ITV2 – has been cancelled in favour of making their online content “bigger and better”.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The ‘Xtra Factor’ has had an incredible run on TV but the producers have realised they need to keep up with the times and move with the audience. The majority of young ‘X Factor’ fans are now consuming the show’s extra content via social media, on the official app and on YouTube, where their clips reach millions of people.
“The plan is to build on that and focus entirely on making their digital output bigger and better. It’s nothing to do with Rylan and Matt. They did a great job and if the show was continuing on TV they would definitely be returning. It’s just about the nature of how people consume TV now. ITV is already doing a very similar thing with The Voice.”
Whilst a spokesperson for the broadcaster confirmed: “The X Factor is our biggest ITV entertainment show in terms of online engagement. We have taken the decision to move away from a linear switchover show and instead focus our efforts on our digital platforms, in support of the main show.”
And bosses have insisted the decision is not anything to do with last year’s presenters Rylan Clark or Matt Edmonson.
‘X Factor’ executive producer Richard Holloway, who is the managing director of Thames TV, said: “We’ve had great fun making the show and would like to thank Rylan, Matt and Roman for their fantastic and entertaining work on the last series. We now look forward to focusing on making great content for our social platforms in support of the main show.”

Kim Woodburn removed from Celebrity Big Brother house

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Woodburn has been removed from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The ‘How Clean Is Your House?’ star has been sent to a separate room by bosses of the Channel 5 show so that she can cool off after she became embroiled in a blazing row with fellow housemates, Jamie O’Hara and Nicola McLean, which is to be shown during Wednesday night’s (18.01.17) episode.
A source told the Daily Star Online: “All will feature in tonight’s show.
“A clip of Kim and Jamie’s argument will also be released this afternoon. We can confirm that Kim didn’t leave the house, she slept in the spare bedroom.”
Another source has said that security had to physically remove Kim after her row with the footballer, which was caused by Nicola, who the hunky sports star has a “soft spot” for.
They told Mirror Online: “Nicola was the reason these two got into such a barney.
“Jamie does have a soft spot for Nicola and wouldn’t stand for Kim’s ways.”
The 74-year-old television star is to come to loggerheads with the rest of the house tonight with Spencer Pratt, 33, admitting to wanting to have Kim axed from the show.
In the episode, he says: “I’m trying to get Kim thrown out!”
However, it soon gets heated when Nicola, 35, joins in the argument and drops Kim in it by saying she despises everyone in the famous abode.
She fumes: “Kim do you tell them how much you hated them?”
However, Kim soon fires back, shouting: “You’re a little stirrer! Grow up! Don’t star with me you little bitch.”
And the ballsy blonde doesn’t stop there as she is overhead shouting “horrible people” as leaves the room.
With the surprise eviction tonight, it has sparked speculation that Kim could be leaving the house for good tonight.
Former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan was the fourth housemate to be evicted from the show on Tuesday night’s (17.01.17) show after losing out in the public vote to Jedward and James Cosmo.
‘CBB’ returns to Channel 5 tonight (18.01.17) at 9pm.

Danielle Armstrong has cancer scare

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Armstrong has had a cervical cancer scare.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star has been trying to encourage young women to have their smear test – also known as cervical screening – after doctors recently told her that she has “abnormal cells” in the entrance to the womb from the vagina.
Taking to her Snapchat account, the blonde beauty said: “I have got some abnormal cells, however they are cells that can naturally go away but I have got to have regular check ups every six months. So next one is June just to be sure so… all good.”
And, although doctors have given her the all clear, the 28-year-old star thinks it could have been a “very different story” if she hadn’t gone to get her three-yearly check up.
She added: “If hadn’t had my smear test I would never have known about the abnormal cells and it could have been a different story.”
Danielle’s scare has come just a few weeks after she announced she was turning her back on ‘The Only Way is Essex’ following her split from James ‘Lockie’ Lock.
The blonde bombshell struck up a relationship with Daniel Spiller – a former Millwall footballer – shortly afterwards and wants to focus her attention on their romance.
A source said: “Danielle is really keen on Daniel. He’s a real catch and they get on really well. Leaving ‘TOWIE’ was hard but she wants to focus on her life and she wants Daniel to be a part of that. Now she won’t have to see James as much and he won’t know everything that’s going on in her life – it feels really refreshing for her.”
Danielle – who had to watch her relationship with James play out on television for two years – is determined to keep her new romance away from the spotlight for the time being while she and Daniel, who was the victim of a suspected arson attack earlier this year, get to know one another, enjoy each other’s company and see where it goes.

Jack Ashton finds it 'confusing' dating Helen George

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Call the Midwife’s Jack Ashton finds it “confusing” dating Helen George.
The couple found love while shooting the drama series in South Africa last year but thought it was really weird when they had to play out a break up between his character Reverend Tom Hereward and the blonde beauty’s alter ego Nurse Trixie on screen.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday (18.01.17), host Lorraine Kelly said: “In the show you were dating Nurse Trixie (Helen)… now you’re dating Nurse Gilbert (Charlotte Ritchie)… but in real life you’re dating Helen. Is it confusing?”
To which he replied: “That’s the confusing bit. As long as I know where we’re going…”
Things heated up between Jack and Helen last April when they jetted abroad to shoot the festive special, which hit screens last month, because of the long hours they spent together.
He said: “It blossomed in South Africa.. It’s the long hours. It’s where you meet people.”
Helen first joined the show in 2012, while Jack made his debut in series three in 2014.
This is the first time Helen has had a boyfriend – in the public eye – since she split from her husband Oliver Boot, whom she married in 2012, two years ago.
A representative for the 32-year-old stat announced the news in a statement that read: “I can confirm that Helen separated from her husband some time ago.”

Linda Robson loses 7lbs in 8 days

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Robson has lost 7lbs in just eight days after giving up sugar.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist – who used to consume the equivalent of 100 doughnuts each month due to her love for sugary booze and calorific treats – has decided to banish the sickly substance from her diet in a bid to get fit and is over the moon with the results thus far because she can now squeeze into size 14 clothes for the first time in years.
Speaking on the lunchtime show on Wednesday (18.01.17), she said: “Mark weighed me. I still don’t know how much I weigh but I’ve lost between six and seven pounds in eight days. The wine belly has gone down quite a lot already.
“It’s not as hard as it was but I’m still struggling, it’s just having that something in your hand. We distract ourselves, we’ve been watching ‘The Crown’ on Netflix.”
The 58-year-old star is still trying to find new ways to distract herself from wolfing down belly-bulging snacks when she’s sitting watching television in the evenings but has already swapped wine for sparkling water and chocolate for mints.
She said: “For the first time in a while I’m in a size 14, this shirt is new and it’s a size 14.”
However, Linda is slightly worried about the future as she’s set to jet off to Florida over the next few weeks to shoot a competition for the show and is worried about her diet.
She explained: “That’s going to be quite hard but Alison Hammond is going with me and she’s doing (the TV show) ‘Sugar Free Farm’ so we’re going to help each other.”
And the actress also has her fans on her case as they’ve been looking in her basket when she’s out shopping to ensure she stays on the straight and narrow.
She added: “People are checking up on me. They’re checking my basket to make sure there’s no wine in there.”
