It is not known which character Armitage will play but he joins an ensemble packed with Hollywood A-listers such as Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Rihanna.
Damon is to make an appearance as his character Linus Caldwell for a fourth time and James Corden and rapper Awkwafina have unspecified roles, whereas Damian Lewis is confirmed to be playing the main villain.

Karen Gillan relieved to keep some hair for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Karen Gillan got the “best gift ever” when she discovered she didn’t have to to shave all her hair off for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’.
The 29-year-old actress had to shear all of her long, flame-coloured locks off to play Nebula in the first Marvel Studios superhero film released in 2014, something she was prepared to do for the role of the blue-skinned alien.
Karen was ready to take the clippers to her hair once again for the sequel but when director James Gunn and the crew told her she was going to get to keep some strands she was delighted.
In an interview with website The Wrap, she said: “I shaved half of my head this time, but they took away the butt – like, the underneath-half of my hair, and then left the top part. That was the best gift ever.”
Karen has also teased that film fans are going to get to learn a lot more about Nebula’s complicated relationship with her sister Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and her adoptive supervillain father, mutant eternal Thanos.
The former ‘Doctor Who’ star says cinema goers may even feel a pang of “sympathy” for her sadistic and cold alter ego.
Karen spilled: “What I love about the second movie for Nebula in particular is that we get … We know that she’s a pretty angry woman with some daddy issues. But in the second movie, we’re going to start to see how much pain her father actually caused her, and we’re going to delve right into the relationship with her sister Gamora. I think we might even feel a tinge of sympathy towards Nebula this time, because we really start to see the emotional crack in her character. I was just allowed to completely explore that and take it to a completely different dimension with her. I was really happy about that.”
Karen is reunited with Chris Pratt as Star Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’, while Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone are part of the sequel which will be released on May 5, 2017.

Danielle Lloyd's car was almost stolen

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd was left fearing for her life after someone tried to steal her car just hours her ex-husband Jamie O’Hara discussed their financial agreement in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house last week.
The 33-year-old glamour model is grateful that the footballer pays for the mortgage on their lavish abode, despite splitting up four years ago following an affair on his behalf, but she can’t wait to move away from the area with her three children Archie, six, Harry, five, and George, three, because she’s concerned for their safety.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday (18.01.17), the brunette beauty said: “I feel like it’s so upsetting for me. I’ve been having anxiety attacks. He’s in there [the house] not understanding what impact this is having on mine and his children’s life. Archie goes to school and children are saying to him: ‘Did you see what your dad said on ‘Big Brother’ last night?’ It’s just not nice. I’m the one that has to deal with that.
“After that night, he mentioned that Bentley and the money, someone tried to steal the cars off the drive and I found someone scrambling over the drive. I’ve had people driving past my house videoing, it’s all terrifying stuff. I don’t know if someone is going to break in. I’ve got his children at home. I need to get out of that house. Then, his financial strain will be helped and hopefully make things between us.”
Jamie came under fire earlier this month after he revealed he was strapped for cash because he was still having to pay for the mortgage on the house for Danielle.
But, although she’s not denying his financial input, the buxom beauty is desperately trying to sell up because she wants to reduce the amount of money he pays out.
She explained: “He does pay for the mortgage on the house, which is a lot of money but that was obviously the court decision. It is where his children live. The house has been up for sale for four years. I know it’s a financial bear on him but as far as me expecting a life still of luxury that is not the case whatsoever. I was on a lot more money than him when we first met, I’ve got my own house in London, I fund myself.”
The pair split up in 2014 after it was claimed Jamie, 30, had been unfaithful and Danielle is convinced he’s only speaking about her in the infamous abode because he “regrets” hurting her and is angry that she ended the toxic relationship.
He said: “He obviously regrets what he’s done and I feel he’s trying to blame me for the fact that I didn’t want to stay in that relationship anymore. He’s trying to hurt me.”

Lauren Goodger will return to The Only Way is Essex

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger will return to ‘The Only Way is Essex’ this year.
The 30-year-old reality TV star – who first joined the popular series in 2010 – made a couple of appearances in the last installment of the show last year, but has admitted that bosses have now asked her to appear permanently as long as she’s happy to.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “I also had a meeting with the ‘TOWIE’ bosses last week to discuss my role on the show and if I’m happy to stay on, which I told them I am. We start filming again in three weeks!”
The brunette beauty is on a mission to completely overhaul her life this year and not only is she determined to beat the bulge but she’d also like to have a boob reduction after she went under the knife in 2014 to take her bosoms from a 34D to a 34E.
She explained: “Although I’m happy with my boobs, I went to see Mr Sultan Hussan at Elite Surgical last Tuesday. He showed me some implants and the ones he wants to use sound good. Going smaller will make my proportions look smaller too. I told him about my training and wanting to lose weight, so he advised me to keep doing what I’m doing and go back when I’m at my ideal weight. I don’t know what that is.”
Not only is she focusing on her health and well-being and her television career but Lauren is also trying to keep up a relationship with her jailbird beau Joey Morrison.
The 30-year-old hunk is currently in prison for drug offences and possession of a firearm but he’s set for release in 21 months and Lauren can’t wait.
She explained: “It’s true he was arrested for drug offences and possession of a firearm, and I know that doesn’t make him sound great. But he never physically hurt anyone and I don’t believe he ever would. Also, his prison sentence has been stated as anything from 18 to 21 years, but the truth is he was sentenced to 17 years, eight months and has already served seven years.”

Dermot Murnaghan axed from Eggheads

OHMYGOSSIP — Dermot Murnaghan has reportedly been axed from ‘Eggheads’.
The 59-year-old presenter has fronted the long-running quiz show since it first hit television screens in 2003 but it seems he’s been silently dropped and replaced with Jeremy Vine permanently after they agreed to split the hosting duties in 2008.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “For years, Dermot was a big part of ‘Eggheads’ then suddenly he just disappeared. It took a while for it to become obvious because the hosting job was split between Dermot and Jeremy. But it seems odd for it to have happened so quietly. It’s like they just pretended he had never been there.”
Bosses reportedly decided that Jeremy – who works on ‘Crimewatch’, ‘Panorama’, and ‘Points of View’ – was more of a “BBC face” due to his other work commitments.
However, Dermot’s agent is adamant he wasn’t dropped from the show, which sees a group of challengers go up against five masterminds in a series of different rounds in the hope of making it to the general knowledge final and be in with a shot of nabbing the cash prize, but was forced to leave because of his conflicting work schedule.
Dermot’s representative said: “He had too much work to cram in.”
Meanwhile, it looks like Jeremy may not be around for long either as he’s becoming more popular with producers and may see his schedule ramp up a notch, too.

Sherlock to be axed if Benedict Cumberbatch quits

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Sherlock’ will be axed if lead star Benedict Cumberbatch quits the show.
The BBC One mystery series based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous stories could be in trouble if the 40-year-old hunk decides to leave his role as the titular detective, as the show’s mastermind, co-writer and star Mark Gatiss – who portrays Sherlock’s brother Mycroft – admits they wouldn’t want anyone else to take over from him.
He admitted: “We couldn’t do it without him, of course not.
“We couldn’t re-cast Sherlock. It’s not a show we are churning out.
“It’s a special thing and we couldn’t do it without Benedict.
“We’re very lucky to have the keys to Baker Street at the moment.”
The 50-year-old television star – who was also worked on rival series ‘Doctor Who’ – says even if the show reaches its end, it’s guaranteed to leave behind a legacy as Benedict and his sidekick Watson [Martin Freeman] are one of the “definitive” modern-day version of the detective duo.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “Benedict and Martin [Watson] have become the definitive Holmes and Watson of our age. I don’t think you will need to argue that.
“The characters are immortal and when we finish there will be more interpretations.”
Though it has been speculated series four – which drew to a dramatic close on January 15 – would be the last, Mark admitted they would “love to” return again in the future and believe they ended the programme on the right note to do that.
Mark previously said: “The reason we [ended with] Rathbone Place is that, actually, if we do come back – and we would love to come back – we could absolutely very easily start with a knock at the door and Sherlock saying to John ‘Do you want to come out and play?’. They have become the two heroes that we always knew them to be.”
However, Benedict and Martin, 45, could hinder the chances of a new season as they reportedly have a frosty relationship off screen.
A source said recently: “Benedict and Martin aren’t mates and they don’t spend time together away from the show.
“They’re professional and very polite to each other but there’s not the warmth you’d expect after filming together for six years.
“There isn’t a huge desire to come back for another series.”

Doc Martin to end next year

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Doc Martin’ will come to an end next year.
The medical comedy drama has been on screens for over 12 years but it looks like it’s about to reach the end of the road as Martin Clunes – who portrays the brilliant blood-fearing GP – has confirmed that the show will conclude after series nine in 2018.
Speaking to the RadioTimes.com, Martin – whose wife Philippa Braithwaite runs the production company Buffalo Pictures that makes the show – said: “We start making it in spring and it’ll probably be on air in the autumn. So [series 8] is the second to last.”
Although fans are no doubt devastated about the comedy coming to an end, the cast are over the moon as they thought the show would wrap up after the series seven party.
Ian McNeice – who plays café owner Bert Large in the show – said: “At the end of the series we had a wrap party with the best drinks and food ever and we were thinking this is looking pretty – is this a goodbye? We were getting a little nervous.
“Then we had a cast and crew photograph and we had never had that before, and it was slightly unnerving that the end of this series we wrap things up nicely.”
The comedy, which first hit television screens in 2004, has become a household favourite over the years as fans watched the doctor move to Cornwall for work because of his extreme fear of blood, fall out with most of the locals because of his abrupt manner and develop a romance with school teacher Louisa Glasson (Caroline Catz).

Remake of White Men Can't Jump in the works

OHMYGOSSIP — Kenya Barris is set to create a remake of ‘White Men Can’t Jump’.
The 42-year-old writer-and-producer is joining forces with Los Angeles Clippers NBL player Blake Griffin, 27, and Carolina Panthers’ NFL star Ryan Kalil, 31, on a new version of the 1992 basketball hustling movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The ‘Black-ish’ creator will be on hand to produce and pen the script for the production with 20th Century Fox after he signed the deal in September last year, whilst Kalil and Griffin will assist under Mortal Media alongside Noah Weinstein.
The original movie saw Woody Harrelson play Billy Hoyle and Wesley Snipes as Sidney Deane two amateur basketball players who team-up to hustle streetballers on the presumption that Billy isn’t a good player because he’s not African American and can’t make slam dunk shots.
The pair go from feuding partners to friends and end up risking all their cash on one final two-on-two winner takes all match.
Elsewhere, Barris has been working on the script for the forthcoming comedy film ‘Girl Trip’, which will star 45-year-old actress Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, 46, Regina Hall, 46, and 37-year-old star Tiffany Haddish, and is set for release on July 21.
‘Girl Trip’ and ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ are not the only projects Barris has in development, as he is also set to develop a remake of the 1971 crime film ‘Shaft’, which starred Richard Roundtree, Moses Gunn, Charles Cioffi and Christopher St. John.

Pierce Brosnan set for Deadpool sequel?

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds has sparked speculation Pierce Brosnan will play Cable in the ‘Deadpool’ sequel.
The 40-year-old actor and his friend, ‘Wolverine’ star Hugh Jackman each shared a picture on social media featuring themselves with the former James Bond, adopting a ‘hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil’ pose.
Ryan captioned his Instagram picture: “Wolvie. Bond. Wade.”
And Hugh wrote on his: “#wolverinebonddeadpool. (sic)”
It has previously been confirmed that Cable – a sometime friend and sometime foe to the wise-cracking anti-hero Wade Wilson – will appear in the sequel, though the role has not yet been cast, prompting fans to speculate Pierce, 63, will be taking on the part.
While it has previously been revealed producers are keen to feature the rest of the X-Force mutant black ops squad, which has at times featured Wolverine, Psylocke and Colossus among many other characters, alongside Deadpool, Hugh, 48, recently insisted his days as the adamantium-clawed mutant will end with the release of ‘Logan’ in March.
He said: “I’m really, really proud of this movie. I was really keen that I didn’t leave the party feeling like I could dance more. I think I’m pretty much danced out, and I had a great time. It’s been an unbelievable ride, but it feels right.”
And asked about the possibility of a Wolverine and Deadpool joint project, he added: “I’m hesitating, because I could totally see how that’s the perfect fit. But the timing may be wrong. I’m at the point where I’m finishing up. In terms of a theory, it’s a great idea.”
Ryan has previously admitted that making an ‘X-Force’ movie is his number one “priority” because he is such a fan of the comic book series.
He said: “In the future, if we’re doing a bunch more ‘Deadpool’ movies, we’re really going to explore the X-Men a lot. And maybe X-Force. X-Force is my priority. I really want to get that in.”

Nadiya Hussain fears for The Great British Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Nadiya Hussain fears ‘The Great British Bake Off’ will struggle to attract viewers once it switches to Channel 4.
The 32-year-old baker won the show in 2015, but fears it could follow in the footsteps of ‘Top Gear’, which flopped when Chris Evans replaced Jeremy Clarkson as the main host.
Nadiya said: “It certainly won’t be the same ‘Bake Off’, it’s going to change the whole ‘Bake Off’ that we know, that I know. The one problem with humans is that we don’t like change and the second you change something that we love people freak out a little bit. I think Brexit got less coverage!
“They are going to change the format to get adverts in between but I still love ‘Bake Off’ and I will still watch ‘Bake Off’ when it’s on Channel 4. I might just watch the first series just to criticise a little bit. We just don’t want a repetition of ‘Top Gear’, do we?”
The hugely popular show is set to make the switch from the BBC to Channel 4 after the broadcaster won a big-money battle for the programme in 2016.
However, the new-look show will not feature presenters Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, and Nadiya has warned it will be a tall order to replace them.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s going to be tough to replace them, they are amazing, they make up such a massive part of the show. That’s going to be tough shoes to fill.”
Meanwhile, Mel recently insisted she doesn’t have “any bad feelings” towards her former co-star Paul Hollywood, even though he is to appear on the show on Channel 4.
She said: “I love the guy, genuinely. He’s a pal and a friend and I don’t want any bad feelings or bad vibes. We had seven years together and they were really fun, good years.”

Gavin Rossdale is too 'softly spoken' for The Voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Gavin Rossdale is having trouble getting acts on ‘The Voice UK’ to join his team because he’s too “softly spoken”, according to his daughter Daisy Lowe.
The 51-year-old musician has been struggling to convince acts to join his team on the ITV talent show in recent weeks, and his daughter, 27-year-old model Daisy, believes the problem lies in the fact that “no one can hear him”.
Daisy – who recently competed in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – said: “He’s such a brilliant man, he’s quite softly spoken so he said [the show bosses] kept telling him that no one could hear him.”
Last weekend’s episode of the singing competition saw the Bush frontman press his button to express an interest in a number of hopeful acts, but many of them were swayed by pitches made by one of the other judges – Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, and will.i.am – and chose to pass on Gavin’s offer.
However, despite his struggle in securing his team, Daisy believes the ‘Love Remains the Same’ hitmaker will “bring out the best” in his acts later in the competition.
She told The Sun newspaper: “But he likes to be the calm one, he’s very nurturing and I think on that show he’s going to bring out the best in his team.”
“I can’t wait to get down to the live shows to support him.
“I think people are going to see a different side to him.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Adrenaline’ singer recently revealed seeing contestants through the competition and realising their dreams gives him the biggest satisfaction.
He said: “What takes you by surprise is when you meet the contestants who dream of being singers and getting on the show is the biggest thing that’s happened to them.
“It ceases to be about you, it becomes about the process of watching the singer’s blossom.
“When you give your life to music and then you get the chance to give back to people who are coming up, it’s a luxury.”

Ben Affleck 'learned a ton' from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck “learned a ton” from making ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’.
The 44-year-old actor donned the famous bat suit to play the Caped Crusader for the first time in the 2016 movie which pitted him against Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel, and the star has now admitted that making the movie taught him “a tremendous amount” about how blockbuster movies are made.
He told UK radio station BBC Radio 1: “I learned a ton actually, making that movie. I had not made a movie of that scale. I didn’t know what the technology was capable of doing nowadays.
“The last big blockbuster-y movies I made were like ‘Armageddon’ in 1997 … The technology had really changed the way those movies were made.
“It was fascinating and I learned a tremendous amount.”
And despite now working on his own standalone Batman movie – which will see him write the script as well as direct and star – the Hollywood hunk previously admitted constantly fielding questions about the role is “a pain the a**.”
He said: “Oh my God, it’s such a pain in the a**. It’s, like, every time I mention Batman it gets this huge click bait.”
However, Ben has reassured fans of the fictional superhero that the much-anticipated new movie ‘The Batman’ – which is set to begin shooting later this year – is “going to be great”.
He shared: “We’re going to make something really special. We’re going to take the time to make it right. We’re going to do it good. We’re going to do it the right way and the fans are going to love it.”
This comes shortly after Ben revealed he was “taking a little extra time and a little extra care” on ‘The Batman’ script to ensure the blockbuster is perfect.

Ryan Reynolds would go 'crazy' if Deadpool receives an Oscar nomination

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds has promised there will be “one f***ing crazy reaction” from him if ‘Deadpool’ receives an Oscar nomination.
The 40-year-old hunk starred in the 2016 Marvel movie and although comic book films are rarely nominated for the most prestigious awards, Ryan hasn’t ruled out the possibility of ‘Deadpool’ receiving a nod from the Academy.
Ryan told The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast: “We had no idea we would ever get anything beyond an MTV Movie award best kiss nomination.
“I don’t think that any superhero film has ever really broken that glass ceiling, so it would be nice to see one like ‘Deadpool’ do it.
“And I can certainly promise one f***ing crazy reaction video online. In the ‘Deadpool’ suit. Guaranteed.”
Earlier this month, Ryan confirmed he wants to play Deadpool for “as long” as he can.
The Hollywood star first donned the red and black skin-tight suit in 2009 for an appearance in ‘X Men Origins: Wolverine’ before getting his own eponymously titled movie last year.
He said: “I would love to play Deadpool for as long as they would let me play Deadpool. We have outlines and stories for a number of different films.”
The first movie was made on a relatively modest budget by Marvel standards, but was well received by fans and critics, which has led to the development of a sequel.
Ryan previously said that the budget for the sequel may be slightly bigger, but he suggested that the much-anticipated follow-up would not stray too far from the feel of the original film.
He shared: “The budget is not going to be phenomenally bigger. Who knows? Maybe the budget will be bigger – anything can happen.”

James Jordan evicted from Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — James Jordan has been evicted from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional has become the fourth housemate to be evicted from the show after losing out in the public vote to Jedward and James Cosmo.
Speaking after his exit on Tuesday night’s (17.01.17) show, James said: “Of course I’m gutted. I’ve said to everyone, ‘Of course I’d like to stay. I’m having a laugh.’ But at the same time, if I come out, I get to see my wife so it’s win win.
“Jedward have got a massive following so they’re like a big power in the house. James is just a true gentleman. Myself and Coleen [Nolan] spent a lot of time with him in the smoking area and he’s just a gentleman. He’s adorable. He said, when we were in hell, that he was happy to go but then he said his highlight of the whole series was when all his housemates saved him and he got a bit tearful. He’s just amazing.”
During his time in the house, James spectacularly rowed with brothers John and Edward, who he claims are constantly “stirring” things with the other housemates.
He added: “I definitely knew Calum [Best] was going to nominate me and I had a sneaky suspicion that Jamie [O’Hara] was because Jedward did quite a bit of stirring in the house. They’re not as sweet and innocent as they perhaps make out they are. That’s all I’m going to say.
“When they came back in after hell, they were going around saying Coleen said this about you, Spencer and Heidi were saying this about you. They had it in for me because I stood up to them quite a lot. I saw this other side to them quite early on. They had it in for me but I don’t mind that; I quite like it when people don’t like me. I still cannot believe they’re 25-years-old. My nephew is 14 and he’s much more mature. That’s the truth. They’re so childish.”

Jasmine Waltz: The 'toxicity' of Celebrity Big Brother made me sick

OHMYGOSSIP — Jasmine Waltz was “physically sick” because of the “toxicity” in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The 34-year-old actress – who was evicted from the famous abode on Monday (16.01.17) – has spoken about her time in the house and the weekend of hell she had endured.
She said: “I wasn’t expecting it. It was such a brutal weekend and even prior to that, it was so brutal for me.
“I was so sick and so miserable and crying every day and so sad and then boom, straight into hell …
“My first reaction was, ‘I’m so disappointed.’ I thought these were my friends and they had my back … I definitely had said to a couple of them that this isn’t for me, ‘I can’t handle it. I don’t want to do this anymore.’
“I was physically sick. I’m not used to this kind of lifestyle; I’m used to healthy eating. This is a lot of toxicity and heavy drama and sleep deprivation and the hunger.”
During her time in the house, Jasmine famously fell out with Stacy Francis as she didn’t approve of how “confrontational” the singer was.
In an interview with host Emma Willis on Tuesday’s (17.01.17) show, Jasmine added: “There was a point where every single thing that came my way was negative. I took everything, up until the last one when I just broke. I took it and I was strong and all the things with Stacy that were happening. She was coming at me. You guys didn’t see a quarter of the things she was doing to me to antagonise me. God bless her, I still have love in my heart for this poor girl … but it just wore on me that every task that was given to us, everyone else had positive nice things said about them.
“Granted she did have some s**t to deal with too, but I just felt like I was just over it. She would come at me and say, ‘Why did you say that?’ It was at the wrong time, wrong place. She has this way of being very invasive and I’m not used to that. I avoid confrontation; she’s extremely confrontational. And very very nosey and butts in the conversations. I’m the complete opposite. I don’t ask people personal questions.”

Stephanie Davis leaves hospital with baby son

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis and her newborn son have been discharged from hospital.
The 23-year-old actress was given the all-clear to go home with her little bundle of joy, whose name is not yet known, on Tuesday (17.01.17) and has admitted she can’t wait to get started on the first chapter of the rest of their lives together.
Taking to her Twitter account, the brunette beauty uploaded a black-and-white photograph of her carrying her baby in his car seat as they made their way out of the maternity suite at a hospital in Liverpool alongside the caption: “We did it little one… By far my favourite chapter yet… (sic),” followed by a red heart emoji.
Stephanie gave birth to her son on January 13 following a gruelling 48-hour labour and, although mother and baby were said to be doing well, doctors requested she stay in so that she could keep an eye on her and her brand new beautiful addition.
Her representative said at the time: “We can confirm our client Stephanie Davis today gave birth to a baby boy in Liverpool. Mother and baby are doing fine.”
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star didn’t have the easiest of pregnancies as she was struck down with acute morning sickness in the first and second trimester and then she experienced some bleeding, which she feared was a sign of her losing her baby, in the third trimester.
However, doctors quickly established that her baby was fine and she had colitis.
Stephanie then started experiencing Braxton Hicks – irregular practice contractions that can be felt around mid-pregnancy and increase in frequency and strength as the pregnancy progresses – and pressure at the bottom of her stomach last month.
And things are set to get even more complicated for the actress as her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell – who has denied he’s the father of the baby – is determined to have a paternity test done as soon as possible in order to know if he’s really the dad.
