Lisa Snowdon engaged

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Snowdon is engaged.
The 45-year-old TV presenter and model – who previously dated George Clooney – is set to tie the knot after her 37-year-old partner of 14 months, George Smart, popped the question over Christmas.
She told Fabulous magazine: “George proposed on the Saturday before Christmas and it was such a lovely surprise – I had absolutely no idea he was going to do it!
“He did it at home – it was just us, it was really low-key and completely unexpected.
“He chose the most beautiful diamond ring, which I love, and amazingly it fits me perfectly! It was such a great way to start the New Year.
“I feel very content about everything and I’m in a good place,” she smiles.
“George is a really lovely man. He’s selfless, honest, kind, wise, calm and thoughtful. The list is endless. I’m very lucky!”
Lisa and George actually dated eight years ago when they met at MTV but split due to their age difference.
However, once they reconnected the pair knew that they were meant to be.
She said: “George was a lovely chap, but there was an age difference and it seemed much bigger back then. We both went off and made whatever mistakes we needed to make. A mutual friend was working with him and George mentioned my name. She got on the phone and said: ‘You have to go out with this guy.’ I just knew it was George. He called me and I’d forgotten he was northern! We both had big smiles on our faces walking towards each other for our date. It felt very familiar.”
And the couple have decided not to have children.
Lisa explained: “I’m in my 40s so it’s something that has to be discussed. If you know you’re going to be with that person then you shouldn’t be afraid to bring those subjects up. You have to be like: ‘This is the deal. Are you bothered about kids? No? Nor am I. OK, but do you want to try?’ George said no. [Instead we can] put all our energy and time into each other and travelling the world.”

Food poisoning inspired Hugh Jackman for Logan role

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman used an experience of being poisoned by eating canned tuna as inspiration for his new movie ‘Logan’.
The 48-year-old actor will portray Wolverine for the final time in new movie ‘Logan’ and revealed the tale will see the mutant slowly dying as his powers are fading and wounds not healing, thanks to the poisonous adamantium in his bones.
And the storyline was inspired by both comic book history and the Australian star’s own experiences.
He said: “I had high mercury levels from eating tins of tuna. My doctor said, ‘You’re meant to be five,’ whatever that number means, and I was at 37.’
“The adamantium will eventually kill him. The effect of metal poisoning, on what for Logan would be a massive level, would be depression, tiredness, massive joint pain. I loved the metaphor of his weapon being the thing that’s killing him, on every level.”
Hugh also got into difficulties while shooting the film in the desert as the altitude made him faint during a scene where he had to run up a hill past various obstacles, at 9,000 ft above sea level.
After repeatedly falling over during shooting the scene, he recalled: “The second-unit director said, ‘Man I think we should call it a day.’ I said, ‘Naaaah mate, I just tripped.’
“And he goes, ‘You tripped on the take before. You fainted on this one.’ ”
Following eight outings as Wolverine/Logan, Hugh decided the new movie would be the right time to call it a day following a chat with legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld at the comic’s birthday party in 2014.
He told Empire magazine: “He doesn’t particularly like parties and I’m the same, so we always end up in a corner chatting.
“I started asking about ‘Seinfeld’ and he said, ‘I always had a belief that creatively you should leave on a high.’
“Not just for legacy, though I’m sure that was a part of it.
“But he said that if you’re tapped out, it’s Herculean to work out what the next thing is.
“If you leave something in the tank creatively, then you just spark into the next thing. I went home from that dinner and I just knew. This was it.”

will.i.am embarrassed over Voice snub

OHMYGOSSIP — will.i.am was left embarrassed after he failed to pick a ‘Voice’ contestant who wrote one of his songs.
Tanya Lacey, 31, co-wrote T.H.E (The Hardest Ever), will.i.am’s 2011 single with Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger but he failed to recognise her when she appeared on the reality TV show and did not turn his chair for her.
Speaking before her audition, Tanya said: “It’s going to be so weird singing for will.i.am.
“This is the first time potentially that we might meet each other and we’ve already got history. Imagine if he doesn’t turn for me!”
And when will.i.am realised who she was he called himself a “dumbass” for not turning around.
He added: “I should’ve turned around.”
However, there was good news for Tanya as both Sir Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale picked her, with Tayna eventually choosing the Bush frontman.
Meanwhile, ‘The Voice’ mentor recently admitted that she thinks ‘American Idol’ – on which she found fame in 2004 – gave the contestants better preparation for life in the music industry than her current show does.
She said: “This process [on ‘The Voice’] is so much quicker – it leaps from phase to phase so quickly. I used to call it the ‘American Idol’ rollercoaster that I could never get off because it was just going around and around.
“I agree [‘The Voice’ is more positive] but I feel like what Simon Cowell brings to the table is he’s preparing you for the industry.
“I feel like that could be necessary to have a taste of hat contestants are really trying to get into and that’s when you learn if you have a tough enough skin for it.
“I thought, ‘It’s either gonna make me or break me.’ ”

Fatherhood helped Casey Affleck film Manchester By the Sea

OHMYGOSSIP — Casey Affleck couldn’t have made ‘Manchester by the Sea’ if he wasn’t a parent.
The 41-year-old actor – who has sons Indiana, 12, and Atticus, nine, with estranged wife Summer Phoenix – stars as janitor Lee Chandler, who returns to his hometown after his brother dies in order to be guardian to his nephew, and the move brings back past memories, including the deaths of his kids in a fire he inadvertently caused.
And Casey needed to draw on his own feelings as a father in order to understand his character.
He said: “I don’t think I would have been able to do this if I wasn’t a parent.
“It makes it harder because you’re living that nightmare, you’re falling down the rabbit hole and indulging thoughts that are more horrifying than you’ve ever contemplated – that worst case scenario.
“Saying that, this was the dream role. Working with a team this talented, you feel safe driving down that road where you can lose yourself and be a wreck and be miserable and know you have that support.”
But Casey is unsure whether the breakdown of his marriage – which was coming to an end during filming – had any impact on his performance.
He told OK! magazine: “I don’t know. It sounds crazy, I acknowledge that, but your body doesn’t really know the difference between experiencing something for real and convincing yourself you’re experiencing something.
“Are you in a dark place in your personal life and it helps make the movie? Or do you put yourself in that place in order to make the movie?”
And the hunk – who is nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for his role in film – admits he couldn’t help but take the “moods” of his character home with him.
He said: “I did hold on to his moods, his personality, because once I’m in it, I have to stay there as much as I can.
“I’m not an actor who can move in and out with ease, it’s too hard to go back there and take on that weight again.
“Did that make me fun to be around? Probably not.”

Jon Hamm's hologram fears

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Hamm is worried about being replaced by a hologram.
The 45-year-old actor plays a hologram of a long-dead man in new movie ‘Marjorie Prime’ but admitted that some technological advances scare him.
He explained to The Wrap: “Technology tends to only move in one direction.
“It’s not like they go, ‘Oh, this hologram idea was a great idea but, eh, never mind.'”
“There always has to be a person at the end of it until we create computers that create computers and then we’re well and truly f****d.”
And John also admitted that he hates watching himself onscreen.
He told Us Weekly: “It’s always weird. Because inevitably, you’re gonna think something looks terrible. Or is terrible. And unfortunately, it’s the internet that points those things out.
“Very often, someone online will tell you that it was [terrible], usually behind an anonymous screen name. I try to stay off the internet as it pertains to me.”
The ‘Mad Men’ actor will also star in action comedy ‘Baby Driver’ later this year, alongside Ansel Elgort, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey and Lily James, and he can’t wait for the stunts.
He said: “I get to roll around and crash cars and shoot ’em up. Fun stuff.”

Lucie Jones confident of Eurovision chances

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucie Jones is confident that her song could win the ‘Eurovision Song Contest’.
The 25-year-old singer beat off the competition on ‘Eurovision: You Decide’, on BBC Two on Friday (27.01.17), with her performance of ‘Never Give Up On You’, to be chosen to represent the UK at the competition in Ukraine, in May and is hoping to win.
Speaking to BBC DJ Scott Mills, she said: “Oh god yeah, we have to give it a go, haven’t we? Come on! You’ve got to go in with the positivity. It’s a good song and the guys who are working on the creative side, you know, the staging and the lighting… They’re second to none. They’re amazing. So, we have to go in, hoping to win.”
And Lucie admitted she was “floating on an excitement cloud” after being chosen to represent her country.
She said: “I’m very excited. I’m still shaking a little bit. I can’t believe that people chose me. Representing the UK as a singer, that’s so cool. I thought only sportspeople did that. It’s such an honour […] I’m floating on an excitement cloud. Someone needs to bring me back down to earth.”
The song was co-written by Emmelie de Forest, the Danish singer-songwriter who won the song contest in 2013 and Lucie revealed that the song holds a special meaning for her but she has no plans to share the details.
She said: “It’s different. It’s a very stripped back performance. It’s a very emotional song. I feel very on the edge [when] thinking about it. It’s quite moving.
“I am thinking about particular things. I have a story for the song in my head. And it’s very real. It’s something that I will never share. It is something that I think that everyone who listens […] takes in a different way. It means something different to each person. And I think that is really nice. I will encourage everyone else to find their own story within it.”

Kieron Richardson and partner having baby girl and boy twins

OHMYGOSSIP — Kieron Richardson is to become a father to a baby girl and boy.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star is expecting twins with his husband Carl Hyland – who he married last year – via a surrogate and he has now shared the sex of the little ones and is thrilled that they get to pick out both blue and pink outfits.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he shared: “We wanted to wait and see whether we needed to buy pink or blue, but now we know we can buy both colours, as we’re having our very own Prince and Princess.
“I”ve had the best training ever with little Leah and Lucas, although we won’t be calling the twins Lea an dLuca – that would be weird.”
The 31-year-old actor took to Instagram over Christmas to reveal that they will become the proud parents of not one but two children when their surrogate gives birth later this year.
The couple shared the news in an adorable festive-themed video, which showed two “Baby on board” signs hung up on a Christmas tree, before revealing Kieron and Carl sat on the floor opening a present.
When they removed the wrapping, the gift was a large piece of card which read: “Twins coming 2017”
The caption on the video read: “Merry christmas to us thanks to the British surrogacy centre (sic)”
In September, Kieron revealed that the pair had been struggling to conceive a baby through in vitro fertilisation (IVF), and were concerned they weren’t going to ever have a family of their own.
He said: “We were hoping to have a baby this year. Unfortunately, like anyone who is trying for a baby through IVF – whether they are gay couples or not – it is a lottery.
“The statistics when we first started it were a 70% success rate. We have tried it four times, with the same surrogate mum, and we have fallen into that 30% bracket of it not working.
“But we have not given up the fight and are still continuing. We are going to keep trying until it is successful.”
The joyous news came a year-and-a-half after they tied the knot in front of Kieron’s co-stars at Buxton Dome in the Peak District.

Vanessa Feltz to enter Celebrity Big Brother House

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Feltz is to enter the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house this weekend for a special eviction task.
The 54-year-old television personality is set to join the remaining housemates in the famous abode on Sunday (29.01.17) in an explosive return, which will see her cast her opinions on the finalists before an eviction.
Announcing the news on his Facebook account, the blonde beauty’s boyfriend Ben Ofoedu wrote: “This lady goes into the CBB house this weekend. The wifey that is Vanessa Feltz (sic)”
Vanessa has been a regular on the Channel 5 show having first appeared 2001 and she was also in the house in 2013.
Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag became the latest housemates to be booted off the show on Friday night (27.01.17).
The reality TV couple – commonly referred to as Speidi – ran out of the house without saying goodbye to anyone after losing the public vote to Kim Woodburn.
Heidi shouted out, “we hate goodbyes”, before they left the house to wild applause and cheering from the assembled crowd.
Speaking during their eviction interview with host Emma Willis, Spencer said: “I was trying to fly out of there.”
Heidi added that the pair had actually said their goodbyes to most of the housemates earlier, just in case they were voted out.
Spencer also tipped James Cosmo to win the show, despite the ‘Game of Thrones’ actor putting them up for eternal nomination.
Spencer insisted that because they liked their housemates, he and Heidi found it hard to be competitive.
He said: “Half your strategy goes out the window. You don’t want to be the wind-up merchant when you actually like the people.
“I wanted to get out of there, I don’t want to snap at people I like.”
And although they are friends with Jedward, they blasted the pair for being “players”.
Speidi’s eviction came after Jessica Cunningham was voted off the show earlier in the evening.
The ‘Apprentice’ star was the first celebrity to leave during Friday’s double eviction after losing out to Speidi, Kim, Bianca Gascoigne and Jedward in the public vote.
Jedward and Bianca received the highest number of votes, ensuring they are safe from eviction until next week but Kim and Speidi were left to fight it out for survival.

Millie Bobby Brown joins Godzilla 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Mille Bobby Brown has reportedly joined the cast of ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’.
According to Variety, the ‘Stranger Things’ star’s character for the monster movie sequel is yet to be revealed, with producers keeping tight-lipped about the casting of the 12-year-old star.
It comes after the film was thrown into chaos after the director announced Gareth Edwards will no longer be doing the follow-up to his 2014 reboot following an amicable split with Warner Bros. and Legendary, Deadline reported.
Bosses went on a mad hunt to find Edwards’ replacement but they aren’t panicking too much as ‘Godzilla 2’ recently shifted release dates to March 22, 2019.
However, it’s believed Edwards had already told Warner Bros. and Legendary about his exit prior to the date change.
The 2014 reboot, which was the 30th ‘Godzilla’ film to be made, saw Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in starring roles.
Meanwhile, Edwards has just finished shooting ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, which will hit cinema screens in December this year, and is now expected to throw all of his attention into some smaller projects, although details on his next gig are being kept under wraps for the time being.
A ‘Godzilla vs King Kong’ movie is also being released on May 29, 2020 but little is known about the flick at present.
As for Millie she is to reprise her role as Eleven in popular the popular Netflix series.

Goldie Hawn in super-shape on Snatched

OHMYGOSSIP — Goldie Hawn was in “better shape” than anyone else working on ‘Snatched’.
Director Jonathan Levine admitted he was concerned about the 70-year-old actress having to run around after she and Amy Schumer’s characters try to flee the captors when they are kidnapped in Equador, but quickly realised he didn’t need to worry.
He said: “Goldie probably has more experience there.
“Goldie was 70 years old and I was concerned about her running about but it turns out I needn’t have worried.
“She was in better shape than any other person on that set. The only difficulty was telling her it was time to stop.”
And despite her long hiatus from acting, Goldie had no problems keeping up with Amy and her sister Kim Caramele’s fast-talking script.
Jonathan told Empire magazine: “She can do it. She could do anything you have her but when Amy is doing that kind of stuff, Goldie is essentially the straight man.
“I mean, she’s playing her mother. Nobody is their most f**ked-up self around their mother.”
The filmmaker also admitted he was largely ignorant about Goldie’s work until Amy pushed him to cast the veteran actress as her mother.
He said: “Amy was doggedly pushing for Goldie from the beginning.
“Not that I was resistant in any way, but I wasn’t all that well versed in Goldie Hawn’s films.
“I’m embarrassed to say but I’d never seen ‘Private Benjamin’ before. My god, she’s incredible.”

Jaymi Hensley for Celebrity Big Brother?

OHMYGOSSIP — Union J’s Jaymi Hensley is in talks to sign up to ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 26-year-old singer and former ‘X Factor’ star was forced to turn down an offer to appear on the Channel 5 show last summer due to working on the boy band’s new album, but is now reportedly holding discussions to enter the famous abode later this year for their second series of the ‘All Stars and New Stars’ special.
A source told the Mirror Online: “Jaymi is in talks to take part in the next series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ during the summer.
“He was originally meant to enter the house last summer but dropped out due to work commitments that had already been in the diary that he could not get off.
“Jaymi has been supporting the show throughout the series and has now been talking with Channel 5 bosses and loves the idea of appearing on the show.
“He knows he can share a lot of fun and drama in the house and give the viewers a good taste of him.
“One of Union J Jaymi has the best personality and has a real talent for TV.”
Although producers were keen to keep the second series under wraps for the time being, Bobby Norris accidentally let it slip when he admitted he’d had a “little meeting” with producers to appear in a follow-up show in August.
The 30-year-old television personality – who is known for starring in the popular ITVBe show ‘The Only Way is Essex’ – said: “I’ve watched it literally since series one day one, and I’m on [the spin-off] BOTS [‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’] most series to be fair and I think I’d quite fancy the challenge of doing it, because I’m such a fan of the show. I might have had a little meeting! I have had a conversation about it in the past.”
And the dark-haired reality star has admitted watching Rylan Clark-Neal’s rise to fame after coming fifth place on ‘The X Factor’ in 2012 has encouraged him to follow in his footsteps, as did Brian Belo, who won the eighth series of ‘Big Brother’.
He explained when asked if he wants to try his hand at presenting: “Rylan and Brian are both massive fans and that’s like the scary thing, to think that they’ve changed things and they’ve gone in as massive fans. Never say never.”

Michelle Keegan honoured to appear in Tina and Bobby

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Keegan feels honoured to have played Tina Moore in ‘Tina & Bobby’.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress starred alongside Lorne MacFayden [Bobby Moore] in ITV’s adaptation of Tina’s memoir about her time with the former England captain, and as the final show in three-part series aired on Friday night (27.01.17) the brunette beauty took to Twitter to bid the role an emotional farewell.
Alongside a picture of herself and her co-star in action posted on Instagram, the 29-year-old star wrote: “Aaanndddd that’s a WRAP !! Tina and Bobby … What a story … What a journey … What a series Thankyou to ALL involved and thankyou for all the incredible support. It’s been an absolute honour. All my love Michelle/Tina (sic)”
Meanwhile, the real life Tina has revealed she was planning on saying no to a biopic about her relationship with her late ex-husband – who died in 1993 at the age of just 51 after losing his battle against cancer – whom she separated from in 1984 and divorced two years later, because she didn’t think anyone would be interested.
She told The Sun Online: “When ITV first approached me I said, absolutely not.
“I didn’t think there would be enough drama and thought no one would care and that there wouldn’t be any interest in it.
“I’m still amazed that there is. I had a few meetings and I didn’t agree for a long time.”
Tina says watching Patsy Kensit, 48, portray her mother Betty was heartbreaking.
She said: “It’s difficult to see my mother, I cried when I watched Patsy playing her.
“You know what, I’m very proud and I feel this was the most fitting tribute.
“My mother was the most elegant, gorgeous woman and I loved her dearly and the fact she’s been portrayed so well is brilliant.
“She was beautiful and to see her have these lovely things said about her makes me so happy.”

Denzel Washington tips Viola Davis for Oscar win

OHMYGOSSIP — Denzel Washington is convinced Viola Davis will win an Oscar for ‘Fences’.
The 62-year-old actor was overwhelmed by his co-star’s performance in the 1950s family drama and thinks there are few people who will ever match the work she has done in the movie, for which she is up for Best Supporting Actress.
He gushed: “She kills it. I was like, ‘Why do I even have to be in this movie?’ She kills it.
“Viola gives one of the greatest performances of all time in this. Period.
“I’ve been around a long time ago and you never know what’s going to happen with Oscars and awards, but… she’s gonna win it this year. She has to.”
But Viola credits her co-star’s support and the film’s director as helping her bring out her best performance because he was so reassuring and understanding.
She told Total Film magazine: “Oh my God, I had no sleep for days worrying about one big scene.
“My big monologue with Cory is four or five pages long. I kept reading it over and over again but I never really got it.
“One day Denzel watched me do the scene and he said, ‘Let’s do it again, but this time I want you to slap him. Hard.’ I said, ‘Really?’ He said, ‘Sure, slap the p**s out of him. Hit him as many times as you want. Take all that pain and emotion and slap him.’ So I did. And it worked.
“It opened the whole scene up and made me get it.
“Denzel told me, ‘It’s not a monologue. It’s not about you. It’s about him. He’s the one listening to you. Help him.’ We were all so lucky to have a director who actually understands that.”
‘Fences’ is also up for Best Picture, Best Actor for Denzel and Best Writing Adapted Screenplay.

Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis join Black Panther

OHMYGOSSIP — Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis have joined the cast of Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’.
The 45-year-old actor will reprise his role as Everett K. Ross from ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and Serkis, 52, is to return as ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’s Ulysses Klaue.
The next movie in the blockbuster franchise is to be shot in several locations including Atlanta, Georgia and South Korea, Marvel has confirmed.
Freeman and Serkis’ casting follows the addition of Angela Bassett.
It was confirmed in November that the ‘American Horror Story’ star will portray Ramonda, the mother of the titular character, aka T’Challa, in the forthcoming film.
A statement on the studio’s website read: “Academy Award-nominated actress Angela Bassett has joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther’.
“Bassett, who currently stars in “American Horror Story,” will play Ramonda, mother of T’Challa, aka Black Panther. (sic)”
Chadwick Boseman has already signed up to portray the main character and Lupita Nyong’o will star as Nakia, a potential wife for Black Panther’s alter ego T’Challa, who also pops up in the comics as a villain named Malice.
Michael B. Jordan will play Erik Killmonger, an expert fighter and nemesis of Black Panther, in the film, which is being directed by his ‘Creed’ and ‘Fruitvale Station’ helmer Ryan Coogler.
The motion picture is expected to expand on the storyline that was first introduced in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ of how T’Challa becomes the Black Panther.
T’Challa’s father T’Chaka is king of the African nation Wakanda and has the ceremonial title Black Panther as the chief of the Panther Tribe, but is killed when a bomb goes off at the UN making his son the Black Panther.
Other actors in the movie include Forest Whitaker, who will take on the role of Zuri, an elder statesman in Wakanda, and ‘The Walking Dead’ star Danai Gurira, who is to portray Okoye, the head of the Dora Milaje, the Black Panther’s personal bodyguards.
The movie is slated for release in February 2018.

Jessica Cunningham voted off CBB

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Cunningham has been voted off ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The ‘Apprentice’ star was the first celebrity to be voted off the show during Friday’s (27.01.17) double eviction after losing out to Bianca Gascoigne, Kim Woodburn, Jedward and Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, in the public vote.
Jedward and Bianca received the highest number of votes, ensuring they are safe from eviction until next week but Kim and Speidi are still vulnerable.
Speaking during her eviction interview with host Emma Willis, Jessica admitted she didn’t fancy co-star Calum Best at first but was drawn to him during her time in the house.
She admitted: “He has got something about him.”
However, her boyfriend has previously insisted that he doesn’t care if she fancies Calum.
The ‘Apprentice’ finalist was flirting up a storm with Calum ever since she entered the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house but her beau Courtney Wood, who she met while competing on the business show in the summer, isn’t bothered by her soft spot for the hunk as he too has a crush on him.
Taking to his Twitter account after he was questioned by fans whether he was upset by Jessica’s cheeky behaviour, he said: “Nah Callum Best doesn’t count, everyone fancies Callum best, even I fancy Callum best #cbb (sic)”
However, Jessica didn’t tell her boyfriend she was going in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house – she got her agent to pass on the message to him instead.
He explained: “She only found out 24 hours before. It was all very last minute. She was meant to be coming to London on Friday to see me but she messaged me that morning, telling me to call her agent. She only found out on Thursday evening and I imagine she had a pretty manic night sorting out childcare and her wardrobe and everything. I think it was easier for her to do it through her agent. We had zero opportunity to talk before she went in. They must have taken her phone off her thought. I tried calling but I couldn’t get through.”
