Ice Warriors to return to Doctor Who

OHMYGOSSIP — The Ice Warriors will return in the next series of ‘Doctor Who’.
The Martian reptilian race – who debuted on the sci-fi drama in 1967 fighting Second Doctor Patrick Troughton – will make an appearance in a forthcoming episode, written by Mark Gatiss, when the programme arrives back on BBC One from April 15.
The exciting news was announced via a video on Twitter on Tuesday (31.01.17) afternoon when Gatiss said of the episode: “Good evening friends, it’s time to welcome back some old friends. I’m bringing back some Ice Warriors again, one of my favourite monsters. It’s a thrill a minute. A sort of a Bank Holiday Monday feel, the kind of Jules Verne, Edgar Rice, Burroughs story of derring-do, which I’ve always loved. But it has a new twist. There is a new Ice Warrior in it, a new kind of Ice Warrior.”
The adventure will be set on the Ice Warriors’ home planet Mars and will see the monsters – who last appeared in a fully-fledged story in 2013’s ‘Cold War’ – battling the Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi.
Although fans are no doubt excited about the return of some familiar faces, it will be one of the last episodes that Capaldi will appear in as the Time Lord as he announced this week he is leaving the sci-fi series with the 2017 Christmas special being his last outing in the TARDIS.
He said: “I feel it’s time to move on. I feel sad, I love Doctor Who, it is a fantastic programme to work on. It can’t praise the people I work with more highly, but I have always been someone that did a lot of different things.”
Capaldi’s exit coincides with showrunner Steven Moffat departing the programme to be replaced by Chris Chibnall – the creator of the ITV crime drama ‘Broadchurch’ and a frequent writer of ‘Doctor Who’ episodes.

Dragon's Den axes Sarah Willingham and Nick Jenkins

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Willingham and Nick Jenkins have been axed from BBC’s ‘Dragon’s Den’.
Restaurant owner Sarah, 43, and ‘Moonpig’ founder Nick, 49 – who sat alongside fellow entrepreneurs Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones and Touker Suleyman as they listened to business hopefuls pitch their ideas who were in hope of gaining money for an investment – have been dropped from the forthcoming series after “failing to connect with the audience.”
A source told the Sun newspaper: “It just didn’t work out. They didn’t connect with the audience so bosses have decided to make a swift change. They’re on the hunt to replace them.”
However, getting the chop isn’t a huge blow to Sarah as she’s planning to travel the world instead.
She said: “Being part of ‘Dragons’ Den’ has been one of the best experiences of my life.
“At the end of last year my husband Michael [her husband] and I decided to finally put into action our long-held dream to spend a year travelling the world with our young children. Sadly this means that I’ve had to step down from my role as a Dragon. It’s been a great privilege to be part of such a fantastic show and I wish everyone on it continued success.”
Nick added: “I have thoroughly enjoyed making ‘Dragons’ Den’ but I want to focus more on my portfolio of educational technology businesses and that would make it difficult to take on any more investments from the Den.”
And while the BBC are on the hunt to replace the two dragons on the show , which first came to screens in 2005, current stalwart Touker, a fashion entrepreneur, said of the new series: “I will be doing it but there may be one or two changes. They are looking at audience response and who they connect with. Let’s say Peter and Deborah are not going anywhere and neither am I. I have to be diplomatic. The BBC have their way of finding out which dragons the public like.”

Natalie Portman pays tribute to John Hurt

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman has praised “incredible” Sir John Hurt for his work on ‘Jackie’.
The 35-year-old actress was left devastated by the passing of the veteran actor – who died of pancreatic cancer last week – as she adored working with him and thinks his casting as a priest in the Jackie Kennedy biopic was a huge influence on the whole production.
She said: “John was such an incredible human being, very, very kind, very easy to work with.
“We were shooting in really cold weather, doing difficult, very long takes, where he had a lot of dialogue. He was doing an Irish accent. He was just so good-natured and funny.
“The things he would come up with on his own between takes, Pablo [Larrain a, director] would say, ‘That’s better than what we have, just say that.’
“We didn’t rehearse, so really all that energy from him was apparent when we were filming.”
Despite his years of experience, Natalie was impressed with the way John was still keen to learn and open to trying new ways of working.
She told the Hollywood Reporter magazine: “Pablo gave direction sometimes that was almost counter-intuitive. He would ask John to be bored and act like he didn’t want to be there.
“John said, ‘No one’s ever asked me to do this thing before that goes against everything I assume about this character. But this is interesting.’ And then when we did it, he’d say, ‘Oh, I understand where this is going, why he’s asking for these things..’
“It was nice to see someone who was such a legend and who had so much experience, who had every right to have an attitude about that sort of thing, but he was just interested in learning and trying something new and experimenting. It showed a lot of openness.”
The brunette beauty – who also starred with John in ‘V for Vendetta’ – hopes people will now look back on her friend’s old movies as she thinks that is the most fitting tribute for him.
She said: “It was really devastating to lose him as both an actor and a human being. When you look at all the films he’s made, it’s crazy, but hopefully at the moment, people will be revisiting ‘1984’ and ‘V for Vendetta’, among his incredible body of work.”

Kim Woodburn to become sex worker

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Woodburn wants to work on a sex line after her stint in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The ‘How Clean is Your House?’ star – who has found herself embroiled in a series of blazing rows with other celebrity contestants since she entered the abode earlier this month – has admitted she’d be open to the idea of getting frisky on the phone if her work starts to dry up.
After knocking back a number of alcoholic beverages, Nicola McLean – who used to be a glamour model – told her part-time enemy: “You’d do really well on the sex line.”
Kim, 74, replied: “If television work doesn’t come in after this I’ll be on the b****y sex line!”
And Bianca Gascoigne – who is a glamour model and works as a manager at a strip club in London – thinks Kim would be “brilliant” because “some men like that dominatrix type of sound.”
And the blonde cleaner – who has been married to her husband Peter Woodburn since 1979 – went on to practice her flirting technique because she was summoned to the Diary Room.
She said: “Bend over, I’ll whip your bum with a lettuce leaf.”
She then added as she left the Diary Room: “Share me a man, to share my lot, no-one knows what a lot I’ve got, be he poor or riches blessed, send him along I’ll do the rest.”
Kim hasn’t been the only housemate to have sex on the brain as it was thought Bianca and Jamie O’Hara – who was eliminated from the competition earlier this week – had sex in the toilet.
Although the scenes weren’t aired to the public, Jedward had claimed “condoms were missing.”
Jamie – who has three children Archie, six, Harry, five, and George, three, with his ex-wife Danielle Lloyd – has since squashed the rumours but admitted he really likes the blonde beauty.
He said when pressed on the sexy speculation: “No. I’m a respectable man, she’s a respectable woman, as far as we went was we had a kiss and a cuddle and that was it.”

Binky Felstead: I won't give birth on TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Binky Felstead has no intention of giving birth on TV.
The 26-year-old TV personality is currently pregnant with her first child with her ‘Made in Chelsea’ co-star Josh ‘JP’ Patterson, but has insisted she will not be following the likes of Blac Chyna by giving birth in front of an audience of millions.
She joked on ‘Virtually Famous’: “I can’t imagine a camera being by my noonie when I give birth.”
During the show, Binky was also asked by comedian guest Jimmy Carr who the father of her baby was.
He said: “Is there going to be a reality TV show where we find the father?”
But Binky was quick to insist that her on-off boyfriend Josh is most definitely the father.
Binky – who announced her pregnancy news in January – is not currently with Josh, but the pair are committed to raising their child together.
She admitted, though, that the pregnancy was not something either of them had planned on.
She recently said: “It’s obviously been a huge shock to both of us.
“This is a new start and a new chapter in our lives. I want to be a little family, to be honest. But I’m going to be okay either way.”
Binky added that regardless of whether she and Josh are together, he will always been a central part of her child’s life.
She said: “Whatever happens, this baby is not going to be affected. And I know Josh will be part of the baby’s life whether we are together or not. We are a unit now.”

Jamie O'Hara: Bianca Gascoigne's got to 'sort out' her relationship

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie O’Hara says Bianca Gascoigne needs to “sort out” her relationship before he would consider dating her.
The pair hit it off whilst starring on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ together but he was shocked to find out the 30-year-old model had a secret boyfriend on the outside.
He said: “She’s definitely got that potential, she’s an amazing girl. I know she’s got her situation to sort out on the outside that I need to respect, but once she comes out and sorts that out, whatever she wants to do I’m happy with.
“She’s definitely someone I want to have in my life … She’s got her situation to sort out but she said to me she really liked me and wanted something to happen with us. I’d like that as well, I’d enjoy spending more time with her outside the house and we’ll take it from there.”
And the 30-year-old footballer insists Bianca never told him the full truth about her boyfriend CJ Meeks, who has since been spotted moving his belongings out of the home they shared.
He added to The Sun Online: “I didn’t have any idea; she didn’t tell me the full situation … You don’t know what’s going on outside, it’s hard to know the real situation. When she comes out I’m sure she’ll sort out what she needs to sort out and we’ll take it from there …
“I have to respect the fact that Bianca has a situation on the outside, I didn’t know that while I was in the house, but I respect her as a woman. She obviously has to deal with that situation when she comes out. It’s totally up to her how she wants to go about it. She’s an amazing person and I want her in my life, but I respect whatever decision she makes.”

Leonardo DiCaprio to star in and produce The Black Hand

OHMYGOSSIP — Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly set to star in and produce an adaptation of Stephan Talty’s book ‘The Black Hand’.
The Oscar-winning actor is being eyed by Paramount to play the central role in the upcoming movie, which tells the story of a group of new immigrant criminals in New York City who prey on people in lower Manhattan.
The group leave a calling card with the figure of a Black Hand at the scene of their crimes throughout the summer of 1903.
DiCaprio is set to feature as Detective Joseph Petrosino, who was otherwise known as the Italian Sherlock Holmes, and he is also poised to co-produce ‘The Black Hand’ through his Appian Way banner, according to Variety.
Meanwhile, DiCaprio’s memorable on-screen smooch with Kate Winslet in ‘Titanic’ was recently voted the best film kiss of all time.
The Hollywood duo famously locked lips as their characters Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater as they stood on the bow of the doomed passenger liner in James Cameron’s epic 1997 disaster movie.
And earlier this month, the tender moment topped a poll conducted by TV channel TLC to find people’s favourite cinematic snog.
Jack and Rose kiss on the front deck shortly after Rose utters the famous line “I’m flying” with her arms spread wide open, Jack then joins Rose in the embrace, and as he holds her tight, they kiss.
A spokesman for TLC, who conducted the poll of 2,000 British adults, said: “Kisses are such a big part of movies so it’s fascinating to see which ones have had the biggest impact.
“For many people, their first experience of a ‘proper’ kiss is likely to have been seeing one on screen. So perhaps respondents had a sense of nostalgia when it came to voting for their favourites.”

Brie Larson: Movies are my 'form of activism'

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson makes movies “as a form of activism”.
The 27-year-old actress is “proud” that her role as Mason Weaver in ‘Kong: Skull Island’ highlights the plight of journalists who risk their lives to share the truth with the public.
She wrote on Instagram: “I make movies as a form of activism. I believe we learn from what we see in our leaders. I’m proud to play Mason Weaver in ‘Kong: Skull Island’ because she represents the many journalists who risk their lives everyday to share with us the truth.
“Weaver leads with compassion and believes that unity cannot be obtained through aggression. I’m excited to share this film with you. And in the meanwhile I’m thrilled to have this platform as a way to connect us. Let’s work together. Lets be open to learning from each other.”
Meanwhile, Brie recently admitted she hopes her ‘Captain Marvel’ role will inspire young women.
She shared: “On social media, I get sent a lot of pictures of young girls wearing the Captain Marvel costume, and I’m excited to see more of that. She (Captain Marvel) is such a great symbol for young girls, and I’m realising what a deficit we have – that we don’t have more of those.
“I think it’s really cool to see a girl in a Batman costume or Spider-Man costume, but I’m really excited that there’s a symbol for women. I think that that’s really important.”
However, the ‘Room’ actress has confessed her job is “weird”.
Speaking about the shooting for ‘Free Fire’, she explained: “I slowly got the most disgusting and intense bruises all up one side of my leg. It became progressively more and more painful and more and more awful-looking. My job is so weird. This is what I’m doing. How do I explain this to people? …
“For a month, every day I was crawling on the floor that had tons of rocks and things on it. So I had to sort of figure out, because I had one arm that’s bad too, you’re just sort of scooting and lifting your butt up and slamming it back down. You’re trying to crawl for your life.”

Josie Gibson is hurt on The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson has sprained her knee and hit her head while training for ‘The Jump’.
The former ‘Big Brother’ winner is taking part in the tough celebrity winter sports contest – which famously saw seven competitors withdraw due to injury last year – and is already finding the preparations tough.
She said: “I’m a non-skier so I was always going to have a few wobbles.
“I sprained my knee if the two-week indoor training course. That fall wasn’t even off the jump, it was the slope of the jump. Then I hit my head.”
And Josie has been left so exhausted by the training, she hasn’t even managed to find the energy to wash her hair.
She admitted: “It’s very intense. I didn’t wash my hair for a week because I didn’t have time.”
The 32-year-old star is terrified of the famous ski jump on the show as she admits it is much bigger than she’d expected.
She said: “It’s so terrifying. I thought they make everything look bigger on TV but no, it’s about 10 times bigger in real life. It’s like a block of flats.”
Josie has previously battled with her fluctuating size, and thought doing the show would see her shed the pounds, but she’s gained weight because she can’t stop eating.
She told heat magazine: “I’ve been eating so much. I thought I’d lose weight but I’ve put it on. I can’t believe it. Out here they eat a lot of bread and pasta and it’s so cold so all you want to do is eat. I’ve got to get back in the gym and do my HIIT training – that and eating green and clean is the only thing that keeps the weight off. I’ve got to stop eating crap. I’m just being a greedy pig.”

Lydia Bright caught frostbite

OHMYGOSSIP — Lydia Bright caught frostbite earlier this month.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star has spent the past four weeks in Austria training for the forthcoming series of ‘The Jump’ and, although she’s thoroughly enjoying the experience, she terrified bosses when she started to show the “early signs” of the medical condition.
Speaking to new! magazine, she said: “It’s really tough on the muscles and some days the temperature is so cold. One day it was -25 degrees. I felt like my fingers and toes were going to fall off and at one point my cheek was showing the early signs of frostbite.”
The brunette beauty leapt at the chance to take part in the winter sports show when bosses approached her last year but her best friend Lucy Mecklenburgh tired to persuade her not to do it after the amount of injuries sustained in last year’s series.
She explained to the publication: “She did try to put me off it! But I’m glad I made the decision to do it because it’s been incredibly fun and the exercise has been amazing. What better way to lose weight in the new year?”
And the brunette beauty wasn’t the only person to give Lydia some advice before she started training as her ex-boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent – who competed in the show last year – warned her that the skeleton, in which a person rides a small sled, was hard.
She said of her former flame, who she has dated on and off for years: “He warned me about the skeleton and said it was by far the hardest thing he’s ever done. He was right!”

Marnie Simpson has 'fat' vagina

OHMYGOSSIP — Marnie Simpson has a “fat” vagina.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star is disgusted with the look of her private parts after it started to swell following the recent liposuction she had on her stomach to get rid of her “big” bulge and “bumpy and discoloured skin” but, despite the repercussions she’s experienced as result of the surgery, she’s planning to go under the knife again.
Speaking to Now magazine, she said: “I’ve had a nose job, lip fillers, a boob lift and liposuction. I did try Botox but I didn’t like what it did to my face. I went overboard with the lips. I’ve ruined them. My vagina [has changed]. Since having the liposuction, it’s got really fat from the swelling. I hope it goes down, but one thing leads to another.”
The 25-year-old beauty is also keen to have some work done on her chin because she doesn’t like how much it has “grown” over the years and is planning to have it shaved.
She said: “Right now, I am obsessed with my chin. I want it shaved down. It has grown.”
Meanwhile, although Marnie doesn’t like the way her vagina looks, she had no qualms flashing her lady bits to the nation when she rocked up to the National Television Awards, held at London’s The O2, last week in a sheer frock with no knickers on.
The brunette babe was slammed with criticism for her choice of outfit but she seemed to love the attention as she posed in different lights with her boyfriend Lewis Bloor.
Writing in her column for Star magazine, she said: “Lewis has been absolute boyfriend goals this week! When I came back from Newcastle he surprised me by meeting me at the train station and even waited onthe platform for me. It was like a scene from a romantic film! He helped me pick out my outfit for the NTAs, too! What a cutie!”

Lauren Goodger's concerned boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger’s boyfriend asks her what she weighs every time he sees her.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ beauty is on a mission to lose weight and thinks her jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison, who she’s been dating since the end of last year, is helping her stay on the straight and narrow because he’s so hot on her diet and exercise.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “I admitted last week that Joey encourages me with my diet and training. I constantly moan about my weight when we’re together and probably drive him insane but he keeps me motivated. He trains a lot, eats really healthily and doesn’t smoke. He loves a good body and we’re always talking about fitness. I joked that if I was in prison I’d look amazing. He’s done a PT [personal training] course in there so he thinks he knows all about fitness. But when he tells me what to eat and I say: ‘Well, actually when I did my DVD…’ and we end up bickering because he’s like: ‘Your bloody DVD!’.
“If he was with me now, he’d have me locked in a room with a treadmill and would feed me water and bloody veg! He’d get me in the best shape and I’d love that. I need someone like him. I haven’t had that in past relationships, so to have him say: ‘So what do you weight today?’ helps me. He notices changes in my body. The other day he said: ‘Cor you look good today. When I saw you the other day you looked bloated.’ ”
As well as eating right and following a gruelling workout regime, the 30-year-old beauty has also signed up to a weight loss course at South Woodford Hypnoxi.
She explained: “I’ve just started a weight loss course at South Woodford Hypnoxi. You have to wear this heavy, spacesuit-type thing when you’re exercising and it compresses your body so you burn more fat. You’re meant to see quicker results than just going to the gym. normally and it’s also good for your circulation, toning and reducing cellulite.”
