OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Marshall left ‘Death in Paradise’ to be with his children.
The 43-year-old actor has revealed he quit the BBC One show, in which he played DI Humphrey Goodman, because he felt “bereft” having to use video conferencing app Skype to communicate with his young family while he was shooting the series.
Kris – who has four-year-old son Thomas and 13-month-old daughter Elsie with his wife Hannah – explained on ‘Good Morning Britain’: “The last series I did on my own, which was quite tough. Skyping just leaves me bereft and then I have to go and drown my sorrows in the bar.
“In previous years I’ve been able to take me family with but we had a daughter this time last year and so bringing her and my son, he’s about to start school and it all became a bit of a juggling mission. So that was really the reason behind it.”
Although he’s only just announced his departure, bosses have already found his replacement and have confirmed Ardal O’Hanlon will take on the lead role.
The 51-year-old star will join the rest of the cast as DI Goodman in Saint Marie in the Caribbean following his debut on Thursday night’s (02.02.17) episode.
Of his new role, Ardal said: “I am delighted to be joining ‘Death in Paradise’ and exploring what’s made Mooney up and leave London for a life in the Caribbean. I’ve already had a taste of filming in Guadeloupe and can’t wait to get back.”
Ardal joins cast members Josephine Jobert [Officer Florence Cassell], Danny John-Jules [Dwayne Myers],and Don Warrington [Selwyn Patterson] for the rest of series six and he will be back in 2018 for the seventh installment.
The shows’ bosses are keeping details of Kris’ character’s departure under wraps, but it will be aired on February 9.

OHMYGOSSIP — Claudia Winkleman “almost head butted” Len Goodman when she found out he had quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 45-year-old presenter – who co-hosts the ballroom and latin show with Tess Daly – was devastated when she learnt the legendary judge was turning his back on the show following 12 years on the panel last year.
She said: “I just went straight up to him. I almost head butted him when I’d heard [he was leaving] and I went ‘No, that’s not allowed. I like the fact that you’ve got an idea, but it’s not happening’, and he went ‘Claude …’ ”
Claudia was convinced the 72-year-old choreographer would change his mind and couldn’t believe it when he waved goodbye to his fellow panellists Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell in December.
The brunette beauty told the Radio Times: “Oh I hated saying goodbye to Len.
“I love him so much. We sort of couldn’t believe it – we kept on going, ‘He’ll change his mind, he’ll change his mind’. ”
Despite his co-stars trying to persuade him to stay on the show, Len felt it was the “right time” to leave as he was struggling to juggle his job on America’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ with ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
He said at the time: “Maybe I have got one or two years left in me being a judge, but it’s the right time and I’ve had a wonderful 12 years. My father died when he was 79 and I’m 72. God willing I’ll live to be 99, but there’s always that chance that in six or seven years I could be brown bread.
“So I want to spend more time with my family as I’ve now got a granddaughter. I want to be able to do all these things.”
And, although he’s only just put down his score paddle, bosses are already on the hunt for his replacement.
Tess said recently: “We don’t know [who is taking over]. There are a few people in the mix. It’s still under discussion.
“I’d imagine by the end of April we’ll have some news.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ bosses wanted to extend the current series for another month.
Producers of the popular reality TV show have been so impressed with this year’s ratings that they asked the remaining housemates – Kim Woodburn, Nicola McLean, James Cosmo, Coleen Nolan, Jedward and Bianca Gascoigne – to extend their stay in the infamous house but the plans have been scrapped after the contestants refused.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Four weeks is a long time to spend away from your family and friends, and while the housemates have loved their time on the show, they feel it’s time to leave now. Nicola in particular is missing her boys so much and just wants to see them. Everyone has a contract which includes the option to extend their stay, however if they do not wish to continue after 3rd February, then they don’t have to.”
This year’s installment has been one of the most explosive yet after ‘How Clean Is Your House?’ star Kim joined the abode and began warring with the majority of housemates.
The blonde cleaner took aim at ‘Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry within the first two hours of joining the show earlier this month after the busty brunette jumped into the pool and accidentally splashed the 74-year-old star, who was sat in her dressing gown.
She then claimed former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan as her next victim after they locked horns over Jedward and their childish behaviour.
Security was forced to intervene during her blazing row with Jamie O’Hara after she branded him an “adulterer” following claims he’d cheated on his ex-wife Danielle Lloyd.
Glamour model Nicola has been one housemate that Kim has lashed out at numerous times during her stay as the two hot-headed females fought for the top dog position.
And, in last night’s (01.02.17) show, Kim hit out at actor James for being a “coward” after he failed to stick up for her when she was targeted by Nicola and Bianca.
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will come to an end on Friday (03.02.17).

OHMYGOSSIP — Reggie ‘n’ Bollie have been dropped by their record label.
The lively Ghanaian duo, who stormed to second place on ‘The X factor’ in 2015, have been let go by Syco after they failed to see eye-to-eye with Simon Cowell’s music firm.
A source told The Sun’s newspaper: “Reggie ‘n’ Bollie were huge hits on the show which is why they reached the final and very nearly won. But after they left the show, excitement for them dwindled and they struggled to turn their support into record sales.
“They have worked really hard for the last year but their relationship with Syco didn’t work out and they wanted different things.”
The reggae-loving pair – who were mentored by Cheryl on the talent show – launched themselves onto the UK pop scene with two energetic singles ‘New Girl’ and ‘Link Up’ and whilst the former reached No.26 in the charts in June, ‘Link Up’ was a financial flop.
However, they plan to take a new musical direction and will continue to release music independently.
The source explained: “Their music was very poppy and chart-focused but now they want to focus on a different style.
“It isn’t the end for them though as they plan on continuing to make music as a duo.”
Meanwhile, Reggie ‘n’ Bollie are loving their newfound freedom, and took to Twitter to confirm that they will be releasing music alone and admitted if feels “right”.
They said: “WE’RE FINALLY INDEPENDENT N IT FEELS F#CKING RIGHT (sic).”

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Lusardi’s daughter will “blow the coaches away” when she auditions for ‘The Voice’ this weekend.
The 58-year-old legendary former glamour model isn’t the only one in the family to have talent as her 20-year-old daughter Lucy, whom she has with her husband Samuel Kane, is set to dazzle Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Gavin Rossdale and Will.i.am in the forthcoming pre-recorded episode of the singing competition on Saturday (04.02.17) with her beautiful rendition of ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The coaches were blown away. Lucy’s got the whole package – showbiz is in the family, but they didn’t know.”
And if the brunette beauty – who has a striking resemblance to her famous mother – does manage to make it big with her impressive vocals, she’ll have no trouble fitting in to the celebrity lifestyle as Linda will certainly be able to show her the ropes as she was a famous pin-up during the eighties.
However, Linda no longer struts her stuff in front of the camera and decided a few years back to take up photography and now has her own studio in her home in Hertfordshire.
She said last year: “All the time I was doing photoshoots, I was learning about it, but I was put off by the darkrooms. Then digital came along and everyone seemed to become a photographer. I know what it’s like on both sides of the camera and how to make people relax into it if they’re nervous.
“Even when I was a model, the photographers liked working with me because I could help other girls. Lighting is the most important element. It doesn’t matter who you’re photographing, if you haven’t got decent lighting it’s going to be a problem.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd has seemingly given Jamie O’Hara’s romance with Bianca Gascoigne her seal of approval.
The 33-year-old model – who was married to the soccer star from 2012 until 2014 – has given her blessing to their burgeoning relationship after the pair hit it off whilst starring on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ together.
She wrote on Twitter: “I really like @BiancaGascoigne haven’t got a bad word to say about her (sic)”
Despite having a boyfriend outside the house, Bianca flirted with Jamie throughout her time on the show.
But Danielle insisted she has always found the 30-year-old beauty to be “nice”, saying Bianca’s relationship troubles are none of her business.
She wrote: “What she has done is nothing to do with me and I can’t comment on it! But she has always been nice to me so… (sic)”
And after one Twitter user insisted Bianca cannot be a nice person because she has embarrassed her boyfriend in front of the entire nation, Danielle replied: “No that’s not nice I wouldn’t do that but it’s not my place to comment cos I don’t know exactly what’s gone on x (sic)”
Danielle’s remarks come shortly after Jamie admitted Bianca needs to “sort out” her relationship before he would consider dating her.
But he also admitted to being extremely attracted to the curvaceous model.
Jamie said earlier this week: “She’s definitely got that potential, she’s an amazing girl. I know she’s got her situation to sort out on the outside that I need to respect, but once she comes out and sorts that out, whatever she wants to do I’m happy with.
“She’s definitely someone I want to have in my life … She’s got her situation to sort out but she said to me she really liked me and wanted something to happen with us. I’d like that as well, I’d enjoy spending more time with her outside the house and we’ll take it from there.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Marshall has quit ‘Death in Paradise’.
The 43-year-old actor will be exiting the show after four years as Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman and will be replaced by ‘Father Ted’ star Ardal O’Hanlon, who will play a brand new character.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Despite shooting in one of the most glamorous locations on the planet, being apart from wife Hannah and their two young children for most of the six month filming schedule has proved too tough for Kris.
“It’s been a hard decision, as he’s helped draw in huge figures since taking on the role, but after 17 years in the business he wants to spend more time with his family. That’s his priority now.”
Show bosses are keeping what happens to DI Goodman a secret but Ardal’s character is set to make an appearance during Thursday night’s (02.01.17) episode. He will then begin filming for series seven in a few months.
Meanwhile, Kris – who joined the show in series 3 after the exit of DI Richard Poole (Ben Miller) – previously opened up about the pressure he feels to keep the show’s loyal viewers.
He said: “My one concern about taking this job was that I didn’t want to turn a show that gets nearly eight million viewers into a show that gets four million viewers. That’s not going to look good for me.”
During this series, the team – which includes DS Florence Cassell (Joséphine Jobert), Dwayne Myers (Danny John-Jules) and JP Hooper (Tobi Bakare) – will make a trip to London.
Speaking about those scenes, executive producer Tim Key said: “We are very excited to be bringing ‘Death In Paradise’ to London for the very first time. Humphrey Goodman has always been a fish out of water in Saint Marie, adjusting to the island’s ways and customs, but for the scenes set in London, the roles are reversed as he is back in his hometown, giving an opportunity to explore the characters that viewers know and love against a new backdrop.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Calum Best doesn’t think he’ll ever settle down.
The 35-year-old lothario is desperate to find love and share his life with someone, but can’t understand why something always holds him back and stops him from committing to a partner.
Speaking in the forthcoming episode of ‘In Therapy’, he said: “I’ve been single my whole life. I look at a situation and I think I can’t commit.
“I’ve got so much I want to share with somebody. What is stopping me?”
And the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ hunk admitted he struggled growing up with alcoholic father George Best and built a “horrible reputation” for himself when he sought solace in drink, drugs and casual sex when the footballing legend passed away in 2005.
He said: “I’ve had to listen to what a legend my father was, but I have a different experience that was s**t.
“I was a young lad desperate for emotion and he would never give it back.
“There was a time in life right after I lost my old man from 24 to 27 when I drank a lot and I tried drugs. I slept around and I built a horrible reputation for myself.”
Before entering the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house, Calum was dating Lindsey Pelas and the model recently admitted they are in a “weird situation” and she wouldn’t have minded if he had got with someone else on the show if it had helped him to win.
She said: “We say that we’re dating but it’s a weird situation because of the show. He can’t be in a full-time committed relationship and I get that, but also I”m not dating anyone else because I don’t think he’d like that. I’d say we’re unfinished.”
However, his tactics didn’t go according to plan as he was given the boot from the infamous abode in Tuesday (31.01.17) night’s show after he failed to pull in enough public votes.

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Flanagan and her boyfriend Scott Sinclair have been living apart.
The 26-year-old actress has just returned to ‘Coronation Street’ following five years away from the public eye, but the gruelling work schedule has meant that she’s been forced to move back to her parents’ home in Manchester, where the soap is filmed, with her 15-month-old daughter Matilda while her footballer partner resides in Glasgow.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Wednesday (01.02.17), she said: “Me and Matilda live with mum and dad during the week and at weekends we’re in Glasgow with Scott.
“It’s lovely to have a break from each other. It’s not easy but I really wanted to go back to work. I’ve always been supportive of his career and he’s supportive of mine.”
And the brunette beauty feels “so lucky” to have her mother Julia by her side because she’s been helping to care for little Matilda while Helen has been off filming again.
She explained: “I think it was just quite strange really. It’s hard for any kind of working mum going back to any job really.
“I was a little bit nervous about it but I’m so lucky because my mum is amazing and she’s done everything for me. All my childcare. Sometimes I’ll leave at 6 o’clock in the morning and won’t get back until 8pm so she’s just been amazing for me.”
Helen will return to screens next week as bolshie mega bitch Rosie Webster and will feature on the cobbles for at least another three months.
She said: “I have enjoyed it so much. It’s been so much fun. I feel so lucky to be able to go into work and actually see your friends …
“I didn’t ask for Rosie to be a nicer character but they just wrote her in that way. I love playing the comedy but I didn’t like it when I had to play her as catty. I’ve got a three-month contract. I’m not sure if it’s being extended but I’m really enjoying it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Martin finally feels “happy” for the first time in his life.
The 44-year-old celebrity chef has always tried to keep his love life close to his chest but he couldn’t keep a lid on his emotions on Wednesday (01.02.17) when he was pressed in a television interview about the secret relationship he’s been in for five years.
While appearing on ‘Good Morning Britain’ this morning, host Piers Morgan teased: “This is a worrying allegation you’re in love at the moment.”
To which James joked: “Is there? I’m happy. I’m happy.”
He then added with a beaming smile: “For the first time in my life I’m happy and content.”
James began dating a personal assistant called Louise back in 2011 but, although the pair have been living together, he refused to divulge any details about their relationship because he wanted to keep his private life out of the public eye since his split from Barbara Broccoli.
A source said at the time: “James desperately wants to keep his private life out of the spotlight and under wraps following his romance with Barbara. It’s easy to do with Louise as she likes things low-key as well, unlike Barbara who loved making a fuss over him.”
James and Barbara – who is 12 years older than him – called time on their relationship in 2005 following four years together due to their conflicting schedules and dominating careers.
However, his relationship with Louise couldn’t be more perfect as they balance each other out nicely and she thoroughly enjoys tagging along when he’s on work projects.
An insider explained: “Louise goes absolutely everywhere with him – they just don’t make a big song and dance about it.
“She knows all his friends really well and regularly visited him on ‘The Saturday Kitchen’ set and was on set for his ASDA commercials – so all his colleagues get on great with her too. She’s particularly good friends with his best mate Chris Evan’s wife Natasha.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bianca Gascoigne’s boyfriend was planning to propose to her.
The 30-year-old glamour model’s heartbroken beau CJ Meeks was hoping to pop the question to her upon her exit from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house later this week but he’s had a sudden change of heart since he watched her kiss, cuddle and declare her love for her fellow housemate Jamie O’Hara on national television.
Speaking to The Sun Online, he said: “It’s been like my worst nightmare come true. We were very, very happy but she has destroyed me. I feel changed as a person – Bianca was everything to me, she was my best friend, I thought she was going to be the mother of my children, but she’s ruined it all – and what for, Jamie O’Hara? I genuinely don’t know what she’s going to do when she comes out and I don’t care – I’m gone.”
CJ – who has been dating the blonde bombshell since Christmas 2015 – has been saving “for a while” for the perfect ring and was planning to whisk her off to Dubai.
He explained: “Bianca was always asking me, ‘Where’s my ring?’ Lots of our friends were getting engaged and I had it all ready for her. I said when she came home to me the diamond was waiting for her – that was the plan.”
The professional cage fighter has admitted he “lost the plot” when he watched his girlfriend run off to the toilet, where there are no cameras, with the footballer.
He said: “That killed me. I thought, ‘If you can get drunk and kiss a guy on national television in front of me and my family, what on earth would you do on a night out if we weren’t watching?’ It’s unbelievable… I lost the plot.
“I was inconsolable for days, I couldn’t stop crying and I was still sitting in our flat, on our sofa, watching her climb into bed with another guy. It’s been like torture.”
CJ has now moved out of the home they shared together and has been forced to check into a hotel in Essex in order to avoid the model when she leaves the house.
He said: “She will not get the pleasure of speaking to me again.
“I’ve moved out of our flat, I’ve given the keys back to the concierge, I’ve changed my number and I’ve blocked all her friends and family on social media. She will not find me – I have run as far away as I can from her.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Redman’s husband will “divorce” her if she has a breast reduction.
The 59-year-old actress – who is married to Damien Schnabel and has daughter Emily, 29, from her marriage to Robert Glenister – is keen to go under the knife and have her assets reduced, much to the disappointment of her spouse, and she’s also open to having other work done if she started to feel “depressed” by the effects of aging.
She told Woman magazine: “I want a boob job but my husband says he’d divorce me.
“They’re too big and they got bigger during the menopause, but my husband is happy with them. When it comes to plastic surgery, I say, ‘Whatever floats your boat.’ Never say never about anything. I do see people who go over the top – it’s like anything, it needs to be done in moderation.
“If I got to the point where looking in the mirror depressed me, which happened to one of my friends, then I think, ‘Yeah, why not?’ ”
The ‘Good Karma Hospital’ actress admits she isn’t happy about getting older and thinks those who claim to embrace the aging process are “lying”.
She explained: “Anyone who says, ‘I love getting older’ is lying.
“It’s a PC thing that people say but what’s to like?
“You start losing people you love, you get aches and pains and if you’re an actress you stop getting the roles you used to.”
And Amanda wishes there were parts of her life she could live again in order to correct her past mistakes.
She said: “I live each day for today but the truth is I wish I could go back and do it all again – there are some things I’d do differently.”
