Rylan Clark-Neal will return to Celebrity Big Brother spin-off

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal will return to the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ spin-off show in the summer.
The 28-year-old presenter sparked rumours he was turning his back on ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ following the news he’s secured his own game show but he’s adamant he’s going to juggle both gigs and will be back on screens in a few months’ time.
Speaking on a Facebook Live Q&A on the Big Brother account, he said: “We will be back in the summer and I’m looking forward to it. I’m not leaving.
“Don’t worry, everyone keeps saying, ‘Oh he’s leaving as he’s got this new game show.’ Don’t worry, I’m not leaving. We will be back in the summer and I can’t wait!”
Rylan’s new show ‘Babushka’, which sees contestants put their knowledge to good use as they search through giant Russian dolls in a bid to win a cash prize, comes just weeks after he was dropped from hosting ‘The Xtra Factor’ after just one series.
A source said: “From his showbiz segment on ‘This Morning’ to presenting ‘Xtra Factor’ – Rylan has been a huge hit with ITV viewers.
“Given his energetic and bubbly personality, ITV chiefs think Rylan will be the perfect presenter for this fun new game show. They were thrilled to get him on-board and bosses are now on the hunt for willing participants.”
Contestants who take part on the show – which has been commissioned for 20 episodes – will be in a chance of winning a hefty sum if a smaller doll is found within a bigger one. However, if the doll is empty, they will lose all of the money so far.
And Rylan isn’t the only one to bag himself a new gig following his exit from the singing spin-off as his co-presenter Matt Edmondson has also set himself for the foreseeable future after he bagged a hosting role on panel show ‘JudgeMENTAL’.
A source said: “Matt is clearly liked and impressed during his time on the ‘Xtra Factor’s last series. Bosses have high hopes for this new panel show and think it will be a hit.”

Damien Chazelle danced on set of La La Land

OHMYGOSSIP — Director Damien Chazelle danced on the set of ‘La La Land’.
Choreographer Mandy Moore got drafted in to work on the award-winning blockbuster by Chazelle and confessed she tapped him to be her dance partner for rehearsals but was disappointed not to have any video evidence.
She said: “I wish someone had videoed him dancing.”
Moore spent a lot of time on set before the lead actor and actress – Ryan Gosling (Sebastian) and Emma Stone (Mia) – started filming but she didn’t want to over-rehearse with them as Chazelle wanted the pair to “look like real human beings” when they moved rather than dancing professionals Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
She shared: “Damien wanted these people to look like real human beings; having real emotions, while they were moving. There’s no way that you could train someone to be Fred and Ginger in two months; or a year – or three years or four years. Fred and Ginger trained their whole lives to be who they were. [However,] references to how they [Fred and Ginger] moved as a couple are peppered throughout the film.”
Moore got plenty of time to work on the movie, revealing the opening number – which sees dancers perform surrounded by hundreds of cars on a freeway – was plotted down to a tee.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper: “The very beginnings of that egg was hatched on the back of a piece of paper. We drew cars and boxes on paper; and Damien drew in arrows to show me where the cameras would be.
“To randomly take a hundred cars and put dancers on them, there on the freeway, would have been a nightmare. We actually had only 30 dancers – and we had to be very smart about where we put them. The art department created a model of the freeway, and used those little Hot Wheels cars, so we could play around and face them the right way; and work out which way – and on which car – a dancer would be.”

Lili Fini Zanuck to direct Eric Clapton movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Lili Fini Zanuck will direct ‘Eric Clapton: A Life in 12 Bars’.
The 62-year-old filmmaker – who scooped an Oscar for Best Picture for ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ – will take the helm of the upcoming documentary feature on music legend Eric Clapton.
Speaking about the project, Zanuck said: “Clapton’s music is the foundation of our film. His commitment to the blues, its traditions and originators, is absolute from his earliest days.
“He was also forever restless in his search of a suitable vehicle to shape and grow his artistic voice, often bewildering fans and the media with sudden changes in musical direction, bands, songs, guitar style, tone and physical appearance.”
The “emotional spine of the film” will be Clapton’s personal life, according to Zanuck, who says the documentary will feature big personal events for the singer including his traumatic childhood, the tragic death of his son in the 1990s as well as a number of happy events too.
She added: “It is indeed a melancholic victory lap, full of nostalgic myth, but always musically potent, always looking to the future. Despite the fact that his path is strewn with tragedies, addiction and loss, he never fails to regain his bearings and continue to serve what he holds dearest: his music.”
Zanuck will work alongside producer John Battsek, who promised the movie will “transport audiences to each era” of Clapton’s life.
He told Variety: “We have unique access to Clapton’s extensive personal archive of classic performance clips, on- and off-stage footage, iconic photos, concert posters, handwritten letters, drawings and personal diary entries – elements with the power to transport audiences to each era, from obsessive student, to peer, to transcendent figure in musical history and one of the greatest guitarists of all time.”

Spencer Matthews 'involved in love triangle on The Jump'

OHMYGOSSIP — Spencer Matthews is at the centre of an “awkward” love triangle with two of his co-stars on ‘The Jump’.
The 27-year-old TV personality has reportedly been romancing Vogue Williams – who has been forced to quit the Channel 4 show due to a serious knee injury – and two-time Olympic gold medal-winning star Jade Jones.
A source explained: “To say things were awkward is a massive understatement.
“Vogue wasn’t happy when she found he got together with Jade. It’s the talk of the training camp and has created a bit of an atmosphere.”
Spencer has a well established reputation for being a womaniser, but after flip-flopping between Vogue and Jade, his recent behaviour had really raised eyebrows.
The source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Spencer is taking things to another level. It’s more akin to an 18-30s holiday than a TV competition.”
Vogue’s injury setback came just days before ‘The Jump’ returns to TV screens and the 31-year-old model is devastated she’s been forced to withdraw.
She wrote on Twitter: “Really disappointed. I’ve had the time of my life and if the show is back next year I’ll be in it to win it!”
Vogue’s disappointment was echoed by Spencer, who also took to social media to express his sadness.
He said on Twitter: “Honestly heartbreaking. Amazing moments shared. A true friend.”
Vogue’s injury is the first major setback for the current series of ‘The Jump’, which has historically been blighted by accusations that it is simply too dangerous for contestants.
Last year, for instance, former Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle was left nursing two broken vertebrae after she suffered a serious injury on the show.
Meanwhile, ‘Holby City’ actress Tina Hobley broke her arm in two places and also suffered serious damage to her knee and shoulder.

Amy Willerton replaces Vogue Williams on The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Willerton will replace Vogue Williams on ‘The Jump’.
The 31-year-old model was forced to pull out of the Channel 4 winter sports show after severely injuring her knee whilst training for the ski cross and is set to be replaced by the former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ contestant.
Amy said: “This experience has gone from being an exciting over extended ski holiday to suddenly overnight throwing myself into competition mode – but I’m so so ready for that challenge! I hope I can do Vogue proud.”
It comes after Vogue admitted she was “really disappointed” not to be able to compete in the show this year but is setting her sights on appearing in the 2018 edition.
She tweeted: “Really disappointed to be out of The Jump. I’ve had the time of my life and if the show is back next year I’ll be in it to win it! @Channel4 (sic)”
A source shared: “Vogue is absolutely devastated. She was so looking forward to taking part and has been training religiously. She’s one of the most competitive of the group and was in with a real chance of winning. But she fell very heavily during the ski cross training and really hurt her knee and on doctor’s orders she has had to pull out.”
Meanwhile, show host Davina McCall sent her well wishes to Vogue and said she would definitely welcome her back for the next series.
She shared: “awwwww x big hugs x Vogue…. see u next year. Xxxxxx (sic)”
And her fellow contestant Spencer Matthews says he has been left “heartbroken” by Amy’s departure from the show.
He tweeted: “Honestly heartbreaking… Amazing moments shared on this fun journey. A true friend.(sic)”
‘The Jump’ begins on Sunday (05.02.17).

Zoe Saldana signs up to Hummingbird

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Saldana has signed on to action thriller ‘Hummingbird’.
The 38-year-old actress will play the lead role in the film, which will be directed by Markus Kryler and Fredrik Akerstrom.
The movie follows the story of a black-ops assassin who is forced her to confront her real identity after being assigned her next mark.
The film – which was written by John McClain – will be fully financed by Fundamental Films, who will produce the movie alongside Broken Road Productions.
Mark Gao, Gregory Ouanhon and Todd Garner will produce whilst Gary Glushon and Jeremy Stein will executive produce as well as Zoe who will do so under her production company Cinestar Pictures, Variety reports.
And there is no doubt the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star will bring her two-year-old twins Cy and Bowie – who she has with her husband Marco Perego – with her on set as she previously admitted she thinks it would be “unforgivable” if she left her children behind when she travelled for work.
She said: “I’ve always believed in the power of having people around you who support you and make you better. We shift tasks around so Marco and I can have time together. Our [life coach] is teaching us to find a way to live a high quality life so we can afford to be rested.
“It’s very stressful. But it would be more taxing on my heart if I left them behind. My husband can’t do it either. It’s unforgivable. Once they start school, that takes precedence. But for now, where I go, they go.”
And Zoe will be hoping her lead role in the action film will serve as an inspiration to young girls.
Speaking about the importance of being a role model to women, she shared: “I feel I have a greater chance of setting an example for young women when I do movies [that take place] in the future because I’m less likely to be boxed in. I’m not playing someone’s girlfriend. I can be tougher. The future represents hope.
“I look at the films I love so much, like the beautiful Jane Austen adaptations, but someone like me doesn’t exist in those narratives – at least not in a way that I would want to be a part of. Honestly, it makes me sad. I think about how someone like me would have been treated.”

Naomie Harris' Oscar nomination required three days work

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomie Harris received an Oscar nomination on the back of three days work.
The 40-year-old beauty is up for a Best Supporting Actress gong at the annual awards bash for her starring role in ‘Moonlight’, but Naomie has admitted she spent barely any time making the movie.
She shared: “I only had three days to shoot the movie. We shot the whole thing completely out of sequence, so I was going from older to younger middle age, all over the place. It was never meant to be like that.
“I was supposed to shoot, I think, over three weeks. But they couldn’t get my visa sorted, so it ended up being condensed into just three days.”
Naomie – who plays a crack addict in the critically acclaimed movie – revealed director Barry Jenkins played a crucial part in her on-screen performance.
She told W magazine: “Barry was so calming and reassuring and he just made me feel like it was perfectly possible to do this.
“Also, I had done my research beforehand, so I knew the character. I felt like I knew her inside out. I felt like I knew her more than any other character that I’ve played because I knew I had such little time on set.”
Naomie previously admitted to having reservations about playing a crack addict in the movie, admitting she didn’t want to perpetuate ant negative stereotypes about black women.
She explained: “I didn’t want to play a crack addict. I feel that there are enough negative portrayals of women in general and black women in particular.
“I grew up with this really strong mother – really intelligent, powerful, independent, and I’ve always admired her.
“She was part of a group of strong, powerful women, as well. I very rarely saw those women represented on screen. When I started my career, I set out to represent them.”

Brooke Vincent to leave Coronation Street again?

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Vincent wants to “dip in and out” of ‘Coronation Street’.
The 24-year-old actress – who plays Sophie Webster – took a break from the soap last year to work in theatre and while she and Helen Flanagan, who quit as her on-screen sister Rosie in 2012, will return to Weatherfield next week, she admits her return isn’t going to be permanent as she wants the sort of flexibility her co-star Chris Gascoyne, who plays Peter Barlow, has enjoyed.
She said: “I might be like Peter Barlow – I’m going to try and dip in and out.”
But Helen – who has 18-month-old daughter Matilda with partner Scott Sinclair – is hoping to be back for longer.
She said: “I’m back for quite a while and then we’re going to see how things go.”
The two actresses have enjoyed being back on the cobbles as they have so much fun working together.
Helen, 26, said: “I’ve loved being back with Brooke. We’ve had most of our scenes together, so we’ve been having a real laugh. It’s not really felt like work.”
Brooke added to heat magazine: “It reminds me of when we were really young and we’d mess around and Mike LeVell [who plays on-screen dad Kevin] would give us this look. Yesterday I said to Helen, ‘He’s going to shout at us in a minute’ and we went round the corner and he was like, ‘My girls! I wouldn’t shout at my girls.’ I was thinking, ‘Wait another two months.’ ”
However, Helen admits having so long away from the show has made her forget about the technical aspects of filming.
Brooke recalled: “The other day she got so flustered. We had this scene and it was freezing but they were just filming our heads so I said, ‘Keep your hot water bottle on you’. But Helen got that flustered, she burnt her leg and then she spilt tea on her fluffy pink bag.”
Helen explained: “I’d forgotten about the technical camera-type things, so when they say you can’t see your legs, it kind of distracts me. That tea went all over my handbag.”

Katherine Ryan has botched bum lift

OHMYGOSSIP — Katherine Ryan can “barely move” after her botched bum lift.
The 33-year-old comedienne has been forced to cancel a string of her forthcoming gigs after she recently allowed an unlicensed surgeon to perform the operation in order to give her a pert posterior but, instead of a curve she’s proud of, she’s covered in bruises.
Taking to her Twitter account on Thursday (02.02.17), the funny lady shared a photograph of her enormous backside covered in stitches and painful marks.
She accompanied it with: “It’s true, I got a #BBL by an unlicensed surgeon but I’m making the best of it. Sorry to let you down. Refunds for canceled shows this wk … I can barely move. It’s like being 9 mos pregnant again. But in the bum. (sic)”
The blonde beauty reportedly underwent the surgery in Brazil and asked the surgeon to give her the “Kylie behind” – seemingly referring to Kylie Minogue – but was left devastated when she realised she was left with a bottom similar to Kylie Jenner.
She added: “I asked the doctor for ‘Kylie’ but he did the wrong one. Very stupid. Not worth it.”
While some fans flooded Katherine with sympathy messages, other people weren’t so willing to pass on their condolences and felt it was her own “fault” for agreeing to the operation.
One follower – known as Just Trev – said: “No sympathy, pure stupidity. There was no need. You used to look great why do that?”
Another called Ben Reese added: “Look at the size of that! It’s like a shelf! (sic)”

Calum Best pulls out of Lorraine

OHMYGOSSIP — Calum Best cancelled his appearance on ‘Lorraine’ at the last minute on Thursday (02.02.17).
The 35-year-old actor was meant to feature on the breakfast programme this morning to talk about his shock exit from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ earlier this week with host Lorraine Kelly but he wreaked havoc for the show when he pulled out of the gig just moments before because he was “unwell.”
Lorraine – who appeared to be slightly confused – told viewers: “Calum’s called and he’s not well, well someone else called for him. We wish him all the best!”
Although the 57-year-old presenter didn’t seem overly convinced that the heartthrob was telling the truth, it’s thought his ill health could have something to do with the ear infection he’s been battling.
Calum – who is the son of the late George Best – revealed he’d been fighting ear ache during his time in the infamous abode during his exit interview with Emma Willis earlier this week and is convinced the excruciating pain had caused him to lose his temper with housemates Jedward.
He said: “I think the whole experience was starting to drain me and I was exhausted by the past few days.
“We had a task and people were telling me for the past two weeks they hadn’t seen me as I’d been so boring. I couldn’t [tell them] that for the past eight to ten days I had an ear infection that was killing me and I wanted to sleep it off.
“They obviously don’t show those kind of things but it was wrecking me. I felt if I wasn’t aired I wasn’t getting much time. So that started to frustrate me and play on my mind.
“Jedward, bless them, they are so good in so many ways but at points when I’m trying to sleep at two in the morning and they’re singing at the top of their lungs.
“I don’t want to give anybody grief but there’s a few times you start saying… they enjoy themselves but I feel sometimes they don’t give that respect back and I think to live in a happy house there has to be mutual respect all around.
“That night I lost it [with them] which obviously didn’t work in my favour as I can tell they are very liked. They are smart, they are successful. I can tell by talking to them they run a good business but when it comes to being people, living in a house and respecting, I found they lacked a bit of it with me, personally, and I think amongst the house, but overall I can’t give them grief as they do well for themselves.”

Brooke Vincent helped Helen Flanagan get her job back

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Vincent is the reason Helen Flanagan got her job back on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 24-year-old actress – who portrays Sophie Webster in the long-running soap – played a major hand in the brunette beauty’s return to the cobbles because she approached the show’s producer Kate Oates prior to her leaving for theatre last year.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (02.02.17), Brooke said: “I had a little bit of a hand in Helen’s return. Before I left, I was speaking to Helen and I said: ‘You should come back.’ And she said: ‘Darling I’d love to come back.’ So when I was speaking to Kate Oates, who is our producer, before I left [for theatre], I said: ‘Do you reckon we could bring Helen back for a bit?’ And she said: ‘Well, I’ll see.’ And the next thing we’re on our way back. It’s good, it’s nice to have her back. When you’ve grown up with somebody and they are pretty much like your sister, to be back together you reminisce on all the times you’ve had together. You remember why you were friends in the first place. She’s lovely and I love her so much. It’s nice to have a laugh with her again.”
Helen – who plays bolshie mega bitch Rosie Webster in the ITV show – turned her back on the programme five years ago to explore other ventures but she’s thoroughly enjoyed being back on set in Manchester with her old cast mates recently.
And, although her return is something fans are excited for, Brooke doesn’t know how long the 26-year-old actress will be around for because she’s got to juggle her work life with caring for her 15-month-old daughter Matilda, who she has with Scott Sinclair.
Brooke explained: “I don’t know how long she’s back for. I hope she’s back for a while. I love having her around but I’m not sure. Obviously she’s got baby Matilda now so I don’t know if she’ll want to go off and be a mum again for a bit so I don’t know.”

Julius Avery to direct Overlord

OHMYGOSSIP — Julius Avery has signed up to direct supernatural World War II movie ‘Overlord’.
The Australian-born film director, who helmed 2014 film ‘Son of a Gun’, has teamed up with Paramount and J.J. Abrams’ ‘Bad Robot’ for the horror film, according to Variety.
Abrams and Billy Ray have come up with the story for the project with Ray penning the script with ‘The Revenant’ screenwriter Mark L. Smith also contributing to the final draft.
The project dates back to 2007 when Paramount first acquired the rights and has since picked up pace after Avery got on board.
The story is based on two Allied Forces paratroopers who are caught behind enemy lines in a small town outside Normandy, France, during the D-Day invasion after their plane crashes on a mission to destroy a German Radio Tower.
Having reached their target, the paratroopers discover they have to fight off supernatural forces as well as enemy soldiers with the creepy foes the result of Nazi experiments.
‘Son of a Gun’ was Avery’s breakout film and as well as earning him the job on ‘Overlord’ it’s success also impressed Sir Ridley Scott, who approached him to direct drug trafficking film ‘The King of L.A.’.
