Keanu Reeves wants John Wick 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves would “love” to make ‘John Wick 3’.
The 52-year-old actor stars as the titular hitman in both 2014’s ‘John Wick’ and its upcoming sequel ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ – which is to be released later this month – and has said he would be happy to take up the character for a third instalment if the audience continue to enjoy the franchise.
Asked by Entertainment Weekly magazine if he would do another movie, Keanu said: “Absolutely. I love the character and the world. Whether or not I get the chance to do another chapter is really up to the audience.
“If they enjoy what we did — and hopefully they do, fingers-crossed, I really dig it — but if they do enjoy it, then I’ll have the chance to continue the story of the character and the world.”
And the star also opened up about the upcoming sequel which takes place “five days” after the ending of the first movie, and said the main focus is about “John Wick fighting for John.”
He said: “When we last left John Wick he was going off into the sunset — the moonset — with him and his dog.
“‘John Wick 2’ takes place maybe five days after that. Big picture, the story is about someone from John’s past calling in what we call a marker. And basically, if John doesn’t do [what the holder of the marker wants], he dies. If he kills the person who holds his marker, I die because of the rules of the Continental.
“John is on a mission to reclaim his life again. To me, it’s about John Wick fighting for John.”
‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ was directed by Chad Stahelski and also stars rapper Common, Ruby Rose, Ian McShane, and Peter Stormare, among others.

Will Arnett hasn't asked former Batman's for advice

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Arnett hasn’t asked former Batman actors Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck for advice on portraying The Caped Crusader.
The 46-year-old actor is to play a miniature version of the superhero in ‘The Lego Batman Movie’, and in a bid to put his own spin on the DC Comics character, he’s avoided asking for tips from the first ever Batman, Keaton and Affleck, who portrayed him in several films including most recently, ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he said: “I don’t have a phone.I met Michael Keaton last year which is pretty awesome.
“I’m such a big fan of his in general, and I loved — he was the first Batman on film and I just loved what he did and I think he’s awesome. And then I don’t really know Ben but I’ve kind of gotten to hang out with him a few short times over the last year and he’s a great dude. He plays this crazy brooding really muscular feels like he’s going to knock you out of this planet Batman. So that’s cool.”
Meanwhile, Arnett is keeping tight-lipped about the voice he has gone for his lego-made part as he claims he’s not allowed to spill details due to legal reasons.
Asked if he can reveal his voice, he said: “I can’t. I’m all lawyered up. It’s a Lloyds of London insured thing with Warner Brothers, Time Warner, and a bunch of other corporations out of the Cayman Islands and stuff.”
Meanwhile, the movie is said to feature a number of hidden references to the DC Comics universe.
Director Chris McKay has promised the upcoming family film will make superhero fans happy because he tried to incorporate as many characters from the comic books, original animated series and previous Batman movies into his saga as he possibly could.
And for some that he couldn’t get the rights to, or were deemed too scary for family viewing, he found other ways to get in a mention.
He said: “I just kept going until someone eventually said, ‘We can only make this many or we can only get the rights to this many or we can’t do this character because it will scare children.’
“If we didn’t get a character, there’s something in the signage of Gotham city, or a reference in a newspaper headline… There are little Easter eggs, some very overt.
“It’s definitely a deep dive if you love movies, love comics and love Batman.”

Helen Flanagan has fast metabolism after giving birth

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Flanagan has developed a fast metabolism since she has given birth.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress welcomed her daughter Matilda – whom she has with her long-term partner Scott Sinclair – into the world 15 months ago and has admitted she didn’t have to work too hard to lose her baby weight because the extra pounds fell off her without any exercise or extreme dieting.
She explained to OK! magazine: “It’s weird. Ever since I’ve had Matilda my metabolism has completely changed. I eat as much as Scott but I just don’t seem to put on any weight. I’ve had my thyroid checked as my mum was concerned but that was fine…
“Since having Matilda, I’ve been there [the gym] once and Scott called me to come home! He said: ‘Babe, you have to come home. She’s crying!’ Maybe when she’s older I’ll have time to go.”
And her fast metabolism is no doubt working in her favour as he has admitted she can’t stop scoffing the food in the soap’s canteen since she reprised her role as mega bitch Rosie Webster recently.
She said previously: “I’m obsessed with the food in the ‘Coronation Street’ canteen – it’s one of the best things about being back.
“My jeans have already got too tight for me in those few weeks [since she’s been back]. I’ll have to ask them to get Rosie’s clothes the next size up. I love it.”

Sir Bradley Wiggins suffering torn calf muscle on The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Bradley Wiggins is suffering from a torn calf muscle after his first race on ‘The Jump’.
The 36-year-old retired professional cyclist competed in a slalom race against comedian Mark Dolan during Sunday’s (05.02.17) first live show of the Channel 4 winter sports competition and was spotted hobbling around before seeing a doctor who diagnosed him with the muscle injury, according to The Sun newspaper.
An insider told the publication: “Bradley was gutted to have sustained an injury and is doing all he can to stay in the process.
“He was taken to see a doctor and given painkillers.”
Show bosses aren’t too concerned about losing the five-time Olympic champion from the competition, as they believe he’s “hard as nails” and will recover from his injury.
The insider added: “But Bradley’s as hard as nails so bosses think he will be fine to carry on – as long as he doses himself up regularly.”
The news comes after Bradley suffered a minor ankle injury just days before the show began.
If Bradley did drop out of the competition – which is notorious for injuring celebrities through dangerous sporting incidents – he would become the second celebrity to be forced out of the running this year after 31-year-old model Vogue Williams severely injured her knee during training.
A source said of Vogue’s injuries at the time: “Vogue is absolutely devastated. She was so looking forward to taking part and has been training religiously.
“She’s one of the most competitive of the group and was in with a real chance of winning.
“But she fell very heavily during the ski cross training and really hurt her knee and on doctor’s orders she has had to pull out.”
‘The Jump’ returns on Sunday (12.02.17) at 7:30pm on Channel 4.

Coleen Nolan snubs husband

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan still hasn’t spoken to her husband since leaving ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The ‘Loose Women’ presenter panellist – who was crowned winner of the show on Friday (03.02.17) evening, beating Jedward into second place – was open about her problems with Ray Fensome before entering the house, and though her 32 days inside the famous abode made her realise she wanted to fight for their marriage, they haven’t had the chance to discuss their future as the musician is currently on tour in America and won’t be back for another two weeks.
She said: “We haven’t had a chance to speak because he’s touring America and he’s not back til the 20th.
“We texted each other and he sent me a text saying, ‘I just saw you win online and I’m so proud of you and blah blah blah’, and that was lovely.
“But we haven’t picked up the phone and spoken to each other, I don’t want to do it on the phone, I don’t want to ruin his time in America as he’s having the time of his life and we’ve plenty of time to talk about it when he gets back.”
The 51-year-old star admitted her time away from Ray – the father of her 15-year-old daughter Ciara – made her realise how much she missed him and sparked a return of the “feelings” she has always had for him.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, she said: “If ‘Big Brother’ was good in any way it was for that, leading up to it, part of me was like I can’t wait to go in because I was ready for a break, but when I was in there, there were so many times I thought ‘I miss him’ or if he’d been in here, we’d have laughed at that and that was a lovely feeling…
“What it made me feel is those feelings, I’d forgotten I had them so to have moments in the house where I felt them was a lovely thing so I thought there is hope, they were still there.”
And Coleen – who also has sons Shane Jr., 28, and Jake, 24, with ex-husband Shane Richie – has vowed to do whatever it takes to save her marriage.
She added: “I will fight for it until there’s no fight left in me.”

Coleen Nolan's suspected heart attack

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan was hospitalised the day before the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ final with a suspected heart attack.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist – who was crowned winner of the show on Friday (03.02.17) evening, beating Jedward into second place – woke up with “terrible” chest pains and kept falling asleep, so show bosses sought medical attention for her and felt it best she should leave the house.
She explained: “That was really scary, last Thursday I woke up with terrible, terrible chest pains.
“I thought it was heartburn, and they were really bad, I was shaking and couldn’t wake up. They called me to the diary room and brought in a paramedic, he did two ECGs and they were fine.
“[Was I scared?] Not at this point.
“I’d been smoking a lot, everything was excessive and also the stress of the house, they said no sleep in the day but I could because I was ill so I got on the couch and they called me to the Diary Room and said a doctor has been on and they’re sending an ambulance for you.”
But Coleen admitted she had got so used to the “cruel” twists on the show, she was convinced producers were luring her out of the house for a secret eviction.
She added on ‘Loose Women’: “At this stage, I didn’t trust ‘Big Brother’ and thought they were evicting me because they’d been so cruel.
“They said, ‘No, we can’t overrule the doctor’. I said, ‘Look its fine, they gave me paracetamol and the pain has gone a bit’. Then she said, ‘But heart attacks can present differently in women and men’ so they sent me off to hospital covered in a blanket over my head because no one was allowed to see me, how embarrassing is that. The doctor comes in and is talking to a blanket!”
Thankfully, Coleen was told there was nothing seriously wrong with her and she was allowed to return to the house.
She concluded: “Basically I had seven ECGs, loads of blood tests, and a chest X-ray and it basically came back as loads of excess and stress.”

Calum Best 'embarrassed' by CBB love triangle

OHMYGOSSIP — Calum Best found it “embarrassing” when Chloe Ferry and Jessica Cunningham were fighting over him in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house last month.
The 35-year-old actor caught the attention of the ‘Geordie Shore’ youngster and the 30-year-old ‘Apprentice’ finalist when they arrived late into the infamous abode in January and he has admitted he found the love triangle a little “awkward” and cringe.
Speaking to OK! magazine, he said: “I was quite embarrassed because I didn’t really know how to take most of it. I was flattered but when you know you’re being watched and some people are very full on, it makes it slightly awkward.”
However, the heartthrob was open to the idea of striking up a romance with another housemate when he went into the abode but abruptly changed his minds.
He explained to the publication: “I’m a single guy and I went in there totally open to flirt. But, realistically, I had more important things personally that I wanted to experience and romance wasn’t one of them on that show. There was some flirting, but I knew straight away that it wasn’t going to be romance for me.”
Prior to entering the house, Calum – who is the son of the late George Best – was dating Lindsey Pelas but they weren’t in a loyal relationship because she was happy for him to get with any girls in there if it helped him to come out the winner.
She said previously: “We say that we’re dating but it’s a weird situation because of the show. He can’t be in a full-time committed relationship and I get that, but also I”m not dating anyone else because I don’t think he’d like that. I’d say we’re unfinished.”
However, his tactics didn’t go according to plan as he was given the boot from the infamous abode in last week’s show after he failed to pull in enough public votes.

Aaron Chalmers to get back with Lauren Pope?

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Chalmers might get back together with Lauren Pope.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ hunk and the former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star were forced to call time on their romance last week because of their work commitments but he has admitted they may rekindle things between them in the future.
Speaking to new! magazine, he said: “We’ve had to leave it at the minute because of the distance and our work commitments. It just wasn’t the right time. We speak every day … We have to leave it for now, but you never know what could happen in the future. She’s a cracking girl.”
And, although he has a soft spot for the 34-year-old beauty, Aaron could never move down to Lauren’s home in Torquay, Devon, to be with her because it’s too far from his relatives.
He explained to the magazine: “I couldn’t [move down there]. She lives in Torquay, which is like seven hours away from Newcastle, and that’s too far. She came to Newcastle. And we’ve met in London a few times. Once we knew what our schedules were for that week, we decided where to meet.”
The 29-year-old heartthrob is currently gearing up to shoot the next series of ‘Geordie Shore’ and will be forced to work alongside his on/off ex-girlfriend Marnie Simpson again.
He explained: “Me and Marnie don’t really speak … When me and Marnie are speaking, she’s one of my best friends.”
The brunette beauty is now in a relationship with Lewis Bloor but their romance has been plagued with ups and downs.
Aaron said: “I’ve never really said anything about Marnie and Lewis but so long as Marnie’s happy, then I’m happy. I do care about her so if she wants to be with Lewis or not, it’s up to her.”

Kim Woodburn threatens to 'crucify' Phillip Schofield

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Woodburn threatened to “crucify” Phillip Schofield after they got in a heated war of words on ‘This Morning’ on Monday (06.02.17).
The ‘How Clean is Your House’ star failed to bite her acid tongue during her television interview on the brunchtime show this morning after the 54-year-old silver fox grilled her about her controversial aggressive behaviour on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ over the past month.
She snapped at the host: “You see Philip, you were not in there. I know what I went through. I went through hell. You weren’t in there so you won’t know, will you? I went through hell on earth. I was told [by the other housemates] to get back cleaning, which is disgraceful.”
Phillip hit back: “Well you said worse.”
The presenter and his co-host Holly Willoughby went on to ask the professional cleaner why she didn’t leave the infamous house if she had found the experience so “hellish”.
She explained: “Why should I leave? Why should I lose a massive sum of money for those bums. Would you lose a shed load money enough to buy a house that gets you out in three days? Not on your Nellie. It’s nothing to do with you Philip, what are they paying you? Don’t be cheeky!
“I think I am a nice person. I’d like you to have a word with all the crew I’ve worked with from the studio. I’m very polite. I have not have rows elsewhere.
“I’m employed by Channel 5. I said to Channel 5 if you put me in there, I never look for trouble. I do not look for trouble, Phil. If you bring it to me, I’ll crucify you. Don’t bring it to me. I am a very polite lady. I am very grateful for what I’ve made on television. I have manners but with those pigs in there, you couldn’t [have manners]. Sorry Phil, you weren’t there.”
Phillip shot back: “No but we all watched it on the television.”
She roared: “Excuse me – you watched 45 minutes a night. That’s filming for 24 hours.”
Although she found the experience torturous, Kim doesn’t regret entering the house because she needed the cash and was happy to start an argument because she’s “been around too long” to be “bossed” around by the other contestants.
She said: “I love the money. Adorable. No I don’t regret going in. I may be 74 but don’t mess with me. I’ve been around too long. You are giving me the impression that you don’t know what you’re talking about. Go in that house for 24 hours, you watch it for 45 minutes and then you tell me why I’m annoyed. The other 23 hours were naughty. I hope you do and go in there and see what it’s like.”
Phillip said: “You’re already making me feel controversial and confrontational.”
Despite seeing red during the interview, Kim didn’t hold a grudge and gave Phillip a kiss on the cheek once the cameras had stopped rolling temporarily for the advert break.
He explained once the show returned to screens: “You’re a bit of a bitch, but she gave me a kiss on both cheeks and said to me, ‘Bloody good telly though.’ ”

Kim Woodburn lashes out at 'horrible' Coleen Nolan

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Woodburn thinks Coleen Nolan is a “horrible person.”
The ‘How Clean is Your House’ star has lashed out at the ‘Loose Women’ panellist for being “two faced” towards her in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house this month and doesn’t think she deserved to win the series because she was nice to her face and then ripped her to “pieces” behind closed doors.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Monday (06.02.17), she said when asked if Coleen should have won: “No I do not. She was sweet as pie to me all the way through but little did I know that when she’s on the sofa over in the smoking area, she’s pulling me to pieces. She never said a wrong word to me. I’m not two faced. She’s a horrible person. I’m 74 years of age. You’ve got a long time to work on television. If I never got another television thing I couldn’t give a toss.”
But her cruel remarks haven’t hurt Coleen, 51, and she has admitted she was “confrontational” towards the professional cleaner because she clocked on to her game plan straight away.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, she said: “All the way through they try and encourage you not to be nice but it’s just not me and people who know me would know she was doing that for camera time.
“I’m not confrontational. Hand on heart, I was completely confrontational to her because she kept sitting on her own and I knew what she was doing, she’d try and make us look like a gang.”
And, although Kim found herself embroiled in numerous arguments during her time in the infamous abode, Coleen didn’t find her hilarious outburst “entertaining” at all.
She added: “There wasn’t one single moment in the house where I found that woman entertaining.”

Kristin Scott Thomas to make directorial debut on The Sea Change

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Kristin Scott Thomas is to make her directorial debut on ‘The Sea Change’.
The 56-year-old British actress – famous for her roles in ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ and ‘The English Patient’ – is to step behind the camera for the romantic drama, which is based on the acclaimed 1959 novel of the same title by Elizabeth Jane Howard.
The story focuses on the struggling marriage of Emmanuel, a successful London playwright, and his “witty” wife Lillian with all their problems coming to a head when they find themselves thrown together with a group of people on a remote Greek island.
It has been adapted for the screen by British writer Rebecca Lenkiewicz.
In a statement confirming her involvement in the project, Kristin said: “Sidney Pollack told me that actors are naturally good filmmakers, and I want to make a film to continue my trajectory as a storyteller. ‘The Sea Change’ asks a question I have been trying to answer in many of my performances – what are the reasons for the thrills and difficulties of love? I want to make a film that has depth, humour and beauty.”
As well as directing the movie, Kristin is to star as Lillian with Mark Strong in talks to play Emmanuel and shooting is scheduled to begin later this year on location in Europe and the UK.
Discussing why she was so keen to direct ‘The Sea Change’, Kristin said: “I first read this novel 40 years ago. It was a beautifully complex story of four people of different ages trying to figure out what to do with the cards life had dealt them. Its multilayered and nuanced approach meant that each time I re-read it over the course of my life I identified with different characters – and felt that this would be the ideal premise for a film. Rebecca’s script perfectly captures the novel’s theme of exploring how and why we love.”
Producer Barnaby Thompson – who worked on ‘An Ideal Husband’ – said: “Kristin and I were having lunch, talking about this project we’d develop. I said, ‘Why don’t you direct it’? She got all excited. She’s ready for a fresh challenge.
“It’s a proper, sophisticated, grownup love story about a couple who are facing a moment of crisis, and partly inspired by this girl who comes into their lives, they rediscover each other. It’s very real. Anyone of a certain age knows how hard marriage is. It’s a very touching, real portrait of a marriage.”

Sir Bradley Wiggins to land EastEnders role?

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Bradley Wiggins wants to land a role in ‘EastEnders’ later this year.
The 36-year-old former professional road and track racing cyclist may be used to whizzing around the velodrome but, following his retirement from the sport last year, he’s now keen to carve out a career in acting and already has his heart set on the long-running soap after bosses approached him about taking on a part in the past.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’d like an acting role. I got asked to be in ‘EastEnders.’ A lot of things like that in the past I’ve turned down because I just didn’t have time. But now I’ve got time on my hands I can do all those sorts of things.”
However, for now, the athlete is pre-occupied with his stint on the winter sports show ‘The Jump’ and is so determined to win that he’s been having out-of-hours tuition.
He’s also clocked up more hours in training because 11 contestants – excluding himself, Josie Gibson and Kadeena Cox – were wiped out by a stomach bug last week.
Amy Willerton – who stepped in to replace Vogue Williams after she pulled out of the competition due to injury last week – told The Sun newspaper: “We were all slowly getting knocked out. Less and less people were coming to training.”
Kadeena and Gareth Thomas have also been forced to change hotel rooms because they are convinced there is a ghost trying to cause havoc for them.
Gareth explained to the publication: “My room was miles away from everyone. So I wanted to move because when I’m hearing these ghost stories I’m sh***ing myself.
“I moved to the middle of the hotel because I felt more surrounded then. I felt safer. The hotel knows. The said there is a ghost.”

Debbie McGee to perform magic on TV in honour of Paul Daniels

OHMYGOSSIP — Debbie McGee is to perform a heartfelt tribute to her late husband Paul Daniels on ‘Celebrity Carry On Barging’.
The 58-year-old widow has revealed she is to do some card tricks on the new Channel 5 show on Friday (10.02.17) for what will be the first time she’s done magic since the world-famous magician died aged 77 a month after receiving a terminal brain tumour diagnosis in March last year.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, Debbie said: “Magic was never my thing but once people knew who I was, whenever I did personal appearances they asked: ‘Can you do a trick?’
“So I learned a repertoire of six close-up tricks.
“On our TV shows before we finished, I started doing a section of my own.
“And in our live shows I did quite a lot of that was mine while Paul had a cup of tea in the dressing room.
“But since Paul died, magic was an area I could not go down.”
The television personality, who was known as Paul’s assistant, felt “nervous” the first time she opened a packet of playing cards for the first time since his passing, however, she was determined to pay a touching tribute to her late husband.
She explained: “I did a card trick on the last day as I always have a deck of cards in my bag. I was nervous.
“It was the first time I’d done something since Paul died.
“But I felt I adored the three of them and It would add something special to the trip.”
Debbie stars on the show, which sees celebrities pair up for an adventure through the countryside and canals of Britain, with team mate Nigel Havers from ‘Chariots of Fire’ and former ‘Emmerdale’ star Lorraine Chase and ‘Four Weddings and Funeral’ actor Simon Callow, and admits that she wasn’t keen on the idea of sharing a barge with another man at first.
However, it showed her that life is too short to worry over little things like that.
She said: “The show helped me a lot. I shared with Nigel Havers and he had been through a similar thing and he has come out the other side. It made me realise that life does go on.”

Helen Flanagan piles on the pounds after Corrie return

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan has been scoffing so much of the greasy grub from the soap’s canteen since her return that her belly is now bulging over her jeans.
The 26-year-old actress has only just reprised her role as mega bitch Rosie Webster in the long-running show but she has admitted the costume department will need to get her alter-ego some bigger clothes because she’s piled on the pounds recently thanks to the wide variety of calorific treats on offer backstage for the talented cast.
She’s quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “I’m obsessed with the food in the ‘Coronation Street’ canteen – it’s one of the best things about being back.
“My jeans have already got too tight for me in those few weeks [since she’s been back]. I’ll have to ask them to get Rosie’s clothes the next size up. I love it.”
And the brunette beauty – who has 15-month-old daughter Matilda with her long-term partner Scott Sinclair – isn’t the only cast member who can’t resist the canteen grub.
Brooke Vincent – who plays Helen’s on-screen sister Sophie Webster in the soap – recently admitted that she loves the breakfast so much that she often pops into the studio on her day off just so that she can get tuck into the delicious spread.
She explained at the time: “People are gonna laugh at me now. I love my work. For instance yesterday I wasn’t at work but I popped in for my breakfast because we get free breakfast and you sit and have a chat with everyone.
“I was close, so I nipped in. You can literally nip in at any time of the day. Three meals a day. Chewing gum, creme eggs, you can take the lot.”

Peter Capaldi to tackle more 'challenging roles'

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Capaldi wants to tackle more “challenging roles” following his exit from ‘Doctor Who’.
The 58-year-old star became the 12th actor to take on the titular regenerating sci-fi character in 2013 and, following his decision to step down as the Time Lord, is now hoping that movie and television executives will approach him with some difficult, quirky, parts in the future.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “I really want to do a lot of things. I would love to be more edgier and stranger. ‘Doctor Who’ is very mainstream so there are whole areas of theatre, films and television that I would like to explore that are more esoteric.”
Although portraying The Doctor has allowed bosses from around the world to see his talent, Peter has admitted he hated the fame that came with playing such an iconic role.
He said: “Some people take to it more easily than others. I was happy with my life the way it was.”
The upcoming series is set to air this spring, but Peter says his run as the Time Lord will continue until the annual Christmas special at the end of this year.
Peter’s decision to leave the show may not come as a shock to all fans as his exit will coincide with the departure of showrunner Steven Moffat – leaving the new show boss Chris Chibnall, the creator of the ITV crime drama ‘Broadchurch’, with a clean slate.
Speaking in a statement, 55-year-old Steven said: “Peter’s amazing, fiery, turbulent Doctor is still fighting the good fight, and his greatest adventures are yet to come. Monsters of the universe, be on your guard – Capaldi’s not done with you yet!
“Like Peter, I’m facing up to leaving the best job I’ll ever have, but knowing I do so in the company of the best, and kindest and cleverest of men, makes the saddest of endings a little sweeter.”
Whilst Charlotte Moore, director of BBC Content, said: “He has been a tremendous Doctor who has brought his own unique wisdom and charisma to the role.”

Josie Gibson 'gutted' to leave The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson is “absolutely gutted” she is the first contestant to be eliminated from ‘The Jump’.
The 32-year-old former ‘Big Brother’ winner was sent home in Sunday (06.02.17) night’s episode – the first of the new series – after she refused to throw herself down the jump part of the Channel 4 show.
Taking to her Twitter account after she got the boot, she said: “I’m absolutely gutted but I’ve had the time of my life thank you @Channel4 And the amazing Jump family. I’ve had the time of my life.
“I’m sorry to anyone I let down I just needed more time to get confident on the Jump. Time was of the essence sorry (sic)”
Josie was up against Emma Parker-Bowles – the niece of Duchess Camilla – in the jump-off after she lost out on the slalom race to Jade Jones but when she was faced with going down the slope first, the Bristol-born star was riddled with nerves and decided to pull out of the competition.
The commentator explained the delay to viewers: “She really struggled with the jump in training, and she’s never jumped off this one before. When you’re sat up there, nerves can get to you and it seems to have happened here.”
Despite having been cleared to jump from that height during training, she had never leapt off the purpose built ski jump on Jump Mountain in Austria before.
As a result, all Emma has to do was land her jump successfully to remain in the competition but she excelled herself and managed to fly 11 metres to knock Josie out of the contest.
Speaking about knocking Josie out of the show, Emma said: “She’s my homie, so I’m really sad it’s happened this way.”
This was just the first show since the celebrities were put through their paces in training by a team of world class experts and trainers, and the competition is set to get even more fierce as they all have their eyes on the prize – the coveted Cowbell Trophy – which is currently in the hands of ‘The Jump’ 2016 champion, rugby ace Ben Cohen.
‘The Jump’ will continue on Channel 4 on Sunday (12.02.17).
