June Brown has had 'a lot of love affairs'

OHMYGOSSIP — June Brown had “a lot of love affairs” when she was younger.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress has claimed she’s nothing like her on-screen character Dot Cotton – a role she has played in the long-running soap for 32 years – because she has enjoyed a number of flings during her 89 years of life.
Speaking in her documentary ‘June Brown At 90: A Walford Legend’, which will air on BBC on Thursday (16.02.17), she said: “In my life – and Dot certainly wasn’t like this – I did have a lot of love affairs.”
And the popular British television legend – who married Robert Arnold in 1958 after her former partner John Garley committed suicide – has thanked her good looks for helping her achieve success in her romantic life and acting career.
She said: “I’ve been thinking lately and just wondering – you do when you get older. You look back at what you’ve done and how you’ve behaved. I remember playing Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, I really loved that role. I was very fortunate in my looks.”
However, she shares the same outlook on spirituality as chain-smoking gossiper Dot.
She explained: “The only way I am like Dot is in my feelings about spirituality.”
And June has praised the longstanding television series for giving her the “confidence” to strip off on stage for the theatre production of ‘Calendar Girls’ in 2009.
Speaking about the stage play, she said: “When I started in ‘EastEnders’ it was already huge. We used to go out together, the cast, and go to nightclubs and we could go anywhere. It was lovely.
“‘EastEnders’ gave me a huge amount of confidence to do other things. I got the opportunity to be in ‘Calendar Girls’ in the West End.
“I was the only one who took all my clothes off for the photoshoot.”

Viola Davis: Suicide Squad has given me box office clout

OHMYGOSSIP — Viola Davis says her role in blockbuster ‘Suicide Squad’ gives her the “clout” to pursue a diverse range of projects.
The 51-year-old actress portrays intelligence officer Amanda Waller in the DC Extended Universe film, the woman who creates the black ops band of supervillains to protect America from the threat of hostile metahumans.
Viola was pleased to land a role in such big budget movie alongside the likes of Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto because it proves she can be a “bankable” star provides her with the influence to get roles in more serious cinema projects and get films close to her heart off the ground with studios like Warner Bros. Pictures.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, she said: “Being part of the DC Universe gives you the clout that affords you to do the projects you want, because you have to be bankable. You have to thin that way in this business. Because it is a business.”
Viola has proven her “clout” with her acclaimed performance as Rose Lee Maxson in drama ‘Fences’, which was written by the late August Wilson and is based on his Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name.
Viola was named Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the BAFTAs in London last Sunday (12.02.17) and is one of the favourites to walk away with the Best Supporting Actress Oscar at the upcoming Academy Awards in Los Angeles, at which ‘Fences’ is up for a further three prizes; Best Director and Best Actor for Denzel Washington and Best Picture.
Despite her incredible success, Viola admits she still feels like a bit of an imposter in Hollywood.
She said: “I think it’s ingrained in the DNA of any actor, the feeling that you can do better.”

Chris McKay wants to do a Lego Justice League Movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris McKay has revealed he’d like to make a ‘Lego Justice League Movie’.
The 43-year-old filmmaker served as co-director of 2014’s ‘The Lego Movie’ and also directed current box office smash ‘The Lego Batman Movie’.
And in the wake of the success of those movies in the franchise, he is set to be heavily involved in the ‘The Lego Movie 2’ but his vision for the DC Comics characters in the Lego universe doesn’t stop there – he wants to bring Lego Batman (Will Arnett) together with Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and more for mini-brick adventure.
In an interview with Collider, McKay revealed his plans for future Lego Movie projects. He said: “I love this world and I feel there is still more to do so that’s kind of why we cast a couple of people for one line for things here and there because I’m hoping to keep building in this world and keep playing in this world. I love Batman and I love the universe that we’re creating. I’d love to take on some of these other stories – do stuff with the Justice League – I think there is a lot more we can do with these characters.”
Speaking about why he is the right man to guide the ‘Lego’ team on the new movies, McKay explained: “I’m a producer on all of the movies with Chris (Miller) and Phil (Lord) and Dan Lin And I’m going to be working on ‘Ninjago’ and ‘The Lego Movie 2’ from a producing stand point and just because I’ve been through this now and I was on the ground for both movies – I was a co-director on the first movie, getting it to the finish line and obviously this movie to the finish line. Some of the other filmmakers haven’t been through that gauntlet before so helping guide everybody through the animation process through sound mix and that kind of thing.”

Rylan Clark-Neal and Alison Hammond to present This Morning permanently?

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal and Alison Hammond could become permanent stand-in hosts on ‘This Morning’.
The ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ presenter will join forces with the 42-year-old television personality this Friday (17.02.17) when they front the brunchtime programme in place of Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford – who are currently presenting during the week while regulars Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are on holiday – and it looks like a permanent job role could be up for grabs afterwards.
A source told The Daily Mirror newspaper: “Alison and Rylan went down a storm with viewers when they hosted, albeit very briefly, last October. There is no danger of them usurping Phil and Holly – or Eamonn and Ruth – but bosses are looking at giving them one-off stints if Friday goes just as well.”
However, bosses are adamant the potential signing won’t mean that Holly and Phillip and Eamonn and Ruth will be replaced, as Rylan and Alison will just step in when one or the other pair are away.
The funny duo went down a storm with viewers last October when they filled in for Holly and Phillip during the Halloween special and were heavily praised for their on-screen chemistry and natural ability.
A spokesperson for the programme after it was announced they would fill in later this week: “We have listened to fans views and are pairing them again. There is no question they spark off each other.”
Alison has been a regular fixture on ‘This Morning’ since 2003 and has interviewed many high-flying celebrities during her time as a showbiz reporter.
Rylan, on the other hand, presents the showbiz segment on the programme every day and has even fronted the main show in the past with his husband Dan Neal – a move that made television history as they became the first gay couple to ever front the show.

Amy Childs to eat her placenta after birth

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Childs is planning to eat her placenta once she’s given birth.
The 26-year-old reality star has been doing extensive research on motherhood since she found out she was expecting her first child with her partner Bradley Wright last year and, after reading that it has many health benefits to both baby and mother, is thinking about turning the organ that is attached to the lining of the womb during pregnancy into pills once the tiny tot arrives in March.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “So, call me mad, but I’m thinking of turning my placenta into pills! Apparently it’s all rage and celebs like Coleen Rooney and Kim Kardashian took them after they gave birth. It’s all very clever – they take all the nutrients out of your placenta once it’s out, turn it into pills, and then make you just take them with water like a vitamin!”
But the former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star – who announced she was “shocked” by her pregnancy in October after she had been trying to conceive with her beau for eight months – revealed there was “no way” she would cook her placenta and then eat it, and would only consider digesting it via pills.
She explained: “It’s better than cooking and eating it! Urgh, no way would I do that! I still need to properly look into how it all works – like, where do they take the placenta and when do they they make the pills? But I think I’m going to try it!”
The red-head beauty – who hasn’t disclosed the sex of her unborn child – doesn’t have long before the little one arrives and is thinking about having a short break away with Bradley this month to have some last minute quality time as a duo.
She explained: “We have been thinking of having a babymoon.
“It’d be so nice to have a few days away, just the two of us. I wouldn’t want to go too far, but a little trip away in the sunshine would be perfect.”

Niki Caro set to direct Disney's Mulan

OHMYGOSSIP — Disney’s live-action film ‘Mulan’ finally has a director lined up.
Niki Caro is in talks with bosses at the mass-media firm about leading its stellar cast in the upcoming adaptation of the animated classic of the same name after her work on ‘The Zookeeper’s Wife’ was praised by its star Jessica Chastain.
If she accepts the role, 49-year-old film director will become the second woman at the studio to direct a movie budgeted over $100 million, but it’s no wonder top executives have faith in her as she previously proved herself and her talent when she worked with Disney on the 2015 cross-country drama ‘McFarland, USA’.
However, she wasn’t the only woman who had been approached to direct ‘Mulan’ as, according to ‘The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Wonder Woman’s Patty Jenkins and Michelle MacLaren was also in with the chance of landing the job.
Bosses are keeping details of the adaption under wraps but it’s believed it will be “more nuanced and elaborate” than the original movie, which starred Ming-Na Wen as titular character Fa Mulan and Eddie Murphy as small dragon Mushu.
The film is being fast-tracked to hit cinemas on November 2, 2018 and Disney are on the lookout for a Chinese actress to play the main character.
The studio bought the rights to the movie in 2015 and Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver are on board to pen the script for the forthcoming film.
‘Mulan’ told the story of the daughter of an old warrior who disguises herself as a man to take her dad’s place in the army and fight at war alongside her dragon pal and protector Mushu.

Hugh Jackman moved to safety to escape fire on The Greatest Showman

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman had to be evacuated off the set of ‘The Greatest Showman’ when a real fire broke out.
The 48-year-old actor was shooting the dramatic final scene of the new film, which also stars Zac Efron, in New York City district Brooklyn at 5am on Sunday morning (12.02.17) when the blaze started after a stunt got out of hand.
According to fire officials and witnesses, Jackman was one of around 150 people at the Brooklyn Navy Yard set when the staged fire spiralled out of control.
But whilst the real-life fire service was on its way, five retired firefighters – who were working as extras on set – sprung into action and attached prop hoses fitted with antique-style nozzles to nearby hydrants to try and battle the blaze, according to a FDNY source.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “The fire was tremendous. They used too much accelerant, and the whole building burnt down.”
Authorities confirmed that no one was injured in the blaze.
It is not yet know whether Efron was on set at the time but a representative confirmed: “He’s not hurt.”
‘The Greatest Showman’ is a musical biopic about P.T. Barnum, creator of the Barnum & Bailey circus.
During the film’s final scene – which is being staged in a specially constructed building – Jackman, who portrays Barnum, is forced to carry his assistant (Efron) from a burning house, with the fireman extras placing him on a stretcher afterwards.
But the pyrotechnics used to make the blast look as realistic as possible failed. It is understood that six large lights – used to intensify the glow of the blaze – fell from the roof of the building and sparked an unexpected larger fire, sources explained.
Firefighters rushed to the set at Flushing Avenue and Navy Street but they struggled to put the fire out because it had grown so huge.
A fire source added: “Fire was blowing out through the roof. It blew right through the roof and melted a lot of really large light fixtures on the top.”

Prue Leith could lose GBBO job

OHMYGOSSIP — Prue Leith believes there is “one other person” who could potentially swipe the ‘Great British Bake Off’ judging job away from her.
The 76-year-old restaurateur is said to the frontrunner to replace cooking legend Mary Berry on the baking show this year but, although she has admitted she is “close” to landing her “dream job”, she still has competition from someone else.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, she said: “I’m certainly one of the runners. I can wish. I can dream. I’ve had two auditions with them and lots of meetings. So I mean I think I’m close but I know there are two people in the running. One other person. Of course I’d love to do it. Who wouldn’t want to do it? I’ve known Mary for years and she loved it.”
Although she’s not yet bagged the role, producers are said to be keen to snap up Prue for the show because she carries similarities to 81-year-old Mary and they’re hoping her laid back personality will allow viewers to warm to her.
A source said recently: “Both are from similar backgrounds, so hopefully viewers will be accepting and give Prue a chance to win them over.
“Following in Mary’s footsteps is a big challenge. But the producers are confident that Prue has all the attributes.”
And she’s not the only potential new face to grace screens when the popular show, which first aired on BBC Two in 2010 and remained with the broadcaster for six years, shifts to Channel 4 in a few months’ time as bosses are also looking for a replacement for previous hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ hit the headlines in September when it was announced that Love Productions – the makers of the series – had chosen to accept a three-year deal from Channel 4 after negotiations between them and the BBC broke down because they weren’t willing to offer a large enough sum.
Within hours of the news breaking, Mel and Sue – who have fronted the programme since it first hit screens six years ago – revealed they had quit their roles as hosts in order to explore other ventures.
A few days later, Mary decided she too would step down as a judge on the show out of “loyalty” to the BBC, while her co-judge Paul Hollywood, 50, caused a storm when he accepted Channel 4’s offer to remain with the series.

June Brown: I 'don't know' what will happen to Dot Branning

OHMYGOSSIP — June Brown “doesn’t know” what will happen to her ‘EastEnders’ character Dot Branning.
The 89-year-old actress has played the iconic Walford personality on the BBC soap since 1985 – just a few months after the show’s inception – but after the character recently lost her job at the laundrette, June is unsure what is in store for her in the future.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I don’t know what is going to happen to her now. She’s lost her job, she’s lost her raison d’etre.
“You would find that very difficult. You have to have a house, you have to have a position, a place, a job.
“You should really have a job in ‘EastEnders’. That’s the point. It is very difficult to go against the writing. If they decide to change you or the writers change — not deliberately — that’s just what happens. But I’m a great fighter.
“I’ve tried to twist them round a little. There is a way of twisting. It’s the way you say it.”
The news comes after June recently admitted she wouldn’t be able to afford to leave the long-running soap, as she doesn’t have enough savings.
She said: “I can’t afford to retire. I never had the money to start a pension – I didn’t start to make any real money until I was 58 – and now it’s not worth much.
“I’ve always been afraid of being poor when I’m old. It’s a dreadful thing to be strapped for cash when you are elderly. It’s awful when you’re young, too, but you always have hope.”
However, she has another reason for remaining in the show, as June admitted she would be bored if she quit working.
She said: “As long as I am capable of ¬working, and can learn lines and move around, I will carry on. I’d be utterly bored if I stopped.
“I don’t think I look nearly 90 but because I can’t see these days I don’t know.
“You don’t think about your age – you just knock it down.”

Sherlock Holmes named the world's favourite BBC TV character

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch’s portrayal of Sherlock Holmes has been named the world’s favourite BBC TV character.
The 40-year-old actor has starred as the iconic detective since 2010 and has revealed his pride at the “sociopath” beating the likes of Basil Fawlty and the Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’ to the prestigious title after a poll by BBC Worldwide.
He said: “I’m honoured to hear that my portrayal of Sherlock has been internationally recognised as viewers’ favourite BBC TV character.
“Who would have thought a high-functioning sociopath could be so popular with people all over the world?”
Benedict has also topped the list of the most memorable scenes on the BBC, with viewers voting Sherlock’s apparent death at the end of the show’s second series as their all-time favourite moment.
The scene garnered an impressive 26 percent of the overall vote, finishing ahead of the famous Dead Parrot sketch from ‘Monty Python’.
Other memorable moments to make the top ten list included Mr Darcy emerging topless from the lake in ‘Pride And Prejudice’ and David Brent’s cringe-inducing dancing in ‘The Office’.
Paul Dempsey, BBC Worldwide president of global markets, said: “This survey demonstrates the love and affection audiences have for our shows around the world and those defining TV moments that get viewers talking, wherever they are.”
Back in December, meanwhile, Benedict suggested he may soon walk away from ‘Sherlock’ following the birth of his son Christopher in 2015.
The actor – who is currently expecting a second child with his wife Sophie Hunter – said: “This new series goes to a place where it will be hard to follow on immediately.
“We never say never on the show, but in the immediate future we all have things we want to crack on with, and we’ve made something very complete as it its. So I think we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Vince Vaughn cast in Fighting With My Family

OHMYGOSSIP — Vince Vaughn has been cast in ‘Fighting With My Family’.
The 46-year-old actor will star alongside the likes of Florence Pugh, Nick Frost and Lena Headey in the new comedy-drama movie based off the life of WWE superstar Paige, which is being produced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and his partner Dany Garcia.
The wrestler-turned-actor announced Vince’s casting on his Instagram page, writing: “Our @sevenbucksprod is excited to welcome Vince Vaughn to our #FightingWithMyFamily cast.
“He loved the script and sank his teeth into it embodying this character. He’s playing a man who I know all too well and those of you who follow wrestling history know well too.
“The 80’s wrestling star who squandered his money and opportunities because he didn’t have the capacity to handle his fame. One bad decision after another, but these days he owns his past actions and does everything he can to give back to the wrestling business he loves. (sic)”
Dwayne, 44, is a long-time friend of Vince and said he’s excited about what he will bring to the new movie, having previously worked with him on the ‘Get Shorty’ sequel, ‘Be Cool’.
He wrote: “Vince has been a buddy of mine for years and I’m fired up to see what he brings to this role.
“I grew up in and love this wild, crazy and unpredictable world of pro wrestling. Our little passion project is coming together nicely.”
Dwayne also revealed that further casting announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Vince – who is typically known for his comedic roles – has begun stepping outside his comfort zone in recent times and has just finished making the prison action movie ‘Brawl in Cell Block 99’, as well as the police brutality film ‘Dragged Across Concrete’.

Jason Momoa: I've 'never seen anything like' Aquaman

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Momoa says he’s “never seen anything like” ‘Aquaman’.
The 37-year-old actor is set to star as the titular superhero in the upcoming DC Comics standalone movie, and has said the script offers a “really cool spin” on the popular comic book character.
Speaking to DigitalTrends.com, Jason said: “I read the (‘Aquaman’) script and let me just put it this way, I’ve never seen a movie that’s anything like this. It’s going to be a world that you’ve never seen before, which is really cool.
“We went to space, we travelled all over different worlds, but we never went underwater. So it’s just a really cool spin on what’s below and it uses a lot of great movies that I already love — whether that be ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ to ‘Star Wars’ to ‘Lord of the Rings’ to ‘Romancing the Stone’.
“It has a lot of really cool adventure, it’s funny and heroic, and there’s a lot of different characters and a lot of different worlds that we get to go to. So I’ve never really seen anything like it.”
And Jason – who will first don his swashbuckling superhero costume for the upcoming ensemble movie ‘Justice League’ – previously said the movie was “the best moment” of his career.
He said: “I haven’t been an actor who’s been able to pick and choose roles, and being a family man, it’s been about putting food on the table … This has been the best moment of my career because the superhero roles are letting me get the other roles I want.”
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Nicole Kidman was in talks to join the cast as Aquaman’s mother Atlanna.
If Nicole does sign up for the DC Extended Universe film – on which shooting is due to start in April – she will join a star-studded cast which already includes Jason, alongside Amber Heard as Queen of Atlantis Mera, Patrick Wilson as the titular character’s evil half-brother the Ocean Master Orm Marius, Willem Dafoe as a friend and adviser to Aquaman named Vulko and John Cleese in an unknown role but one that has been described as a “significant part”.
‘Aquaman’ will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures on October 5, 2018.

Lydia Bright won't date Spencer Matthews

OHMYGOSSIP — Lydia Bright insists there’ll never be romance between herself and Spencer Matthews.
The two reality stars are competing on ‘The Jump’ and though they have grown close while training for the winter sports competition, the blonde beauty insists they have a bond more like siblings and he’s slept with far too many women for her to ever want to date him.
She said: “I love Spencer to bits but we have more of a brother-sister relationship. There’s nothing romantic between us whatsoever. Not at all. So far from it! Newsflash – he’s slept with three quarters of London. I don’t get it. I don’t know how he does it.”
However, Spencer has been knocking on the 27-year-old star’s hotel room door in the evenings, but she insists that’s just for deep chats.
She said: “He’ll knock on my door but it’s more to say, ‘We need to talk.’ I can’t ever tell you what the talk is about.
“He knows I’m one of the few girls that won’t sleep with him and he can just be honest.”
Despite being subjected to the ‘Made in Chelsea’ star’s advances in the past, fellow contestant Amy Willerton thinks she’s “safe” while they’re in Austria.
She said: “Lydia and I are next door to each other, so if Spencer comes knocking, we just shout, ‘Help help’. I’ve had my boyfriend here most nights though, so I’m safe.
“At the National TV Awards in 2014, he tried it on with me for the first time. He literally tried to get into my apartment. It didn’t happen – especially as he’d already hit on my sister.”
Comedian and fellow ‘The Jump’ star Mark Dolan is in awe of Spencer’s charm and joked he’ll be fathering a lot of children while in Austria.
He told Closer magazine: “I think in a year’s time there’s going to be a lot of Austrian children with strangely posh English accents, gilets and big hair.
“When a thief leaves the room, you have to count the spoons. When Spencer leaves the room, you’ve got to count the women.
“The man is a babe magnet. He has an effect on women I’ve never seen before.”

Robbie Williams to rejoin Take That for Let It Shine performance

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams will rejoin Take That for the final of ‘Let It Shine’ next weekend.
The ‘Candy’ hitmaker has agreed to take to the stage with his former bandmates Mark Owen, Gary Barlow and Howard Donald on the popular BBC talent show on February 25 to give the nation a special performance of one of their biggest hits.
The 43-year-old singer will also take on the role of guest judge alongside Gary, Dannii Minogue and Martin Kemp as they decide, along with the public, which band will be crowned the winners of the series following weeks of performing on stage.
Robbie said: “I’m looking forward to being back with Gary, Mark and Howard on ‘Let It Shine’ and am excited to be a guest judge for the very special final.”
Robbie’s decision to rejoin his band, which he left in 2014, comes soon after Gary revealed that he would like the ‘Could It Be Magic’ hitmakers to celebrate 25 years together in 2017.
And Robbie’s return won’t be permanent as he’s got solo ventures to push through with including trying to crack America.
He said recently: “Nobody knows who I am. I can look at them and they can look at me. I get to stare at them and they get to stare at me, but they don’t stare because they don’t know who I am. I don’t like this. I want this to change.
“Back in the 1990s when I went out there to promote my album I was not really dealing with fame very well at all – if I am honest I was not really dealing with much very well. It was when I realised that the more fame I got, the more insane I became. So I just stopped as I needed a place where I was not famous, because that would be the most sane thing to do. So I just lived over there and nobody knows me. Now I have changed my mind and I really regret it.”

Holly Willoughby is new brand ambassador for Diet Coke

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby has been named the new brand ambassador for Diet Coke.
The ‘This Morning’ host has teamed up with the makers of the sugar-free soft drink and will lend her voice to an exciting programme for the popular drinks brand.
Speaking about the partnership, Holly said: “I’ve always been a big Diet Coke fan, right from the original ‘Break’ ads we all remember with great fondness.
“The brand is well known for celebrating friendship, fashion and fun, which are all very important to me. I’m excited to be involved!”
Whilst Aedamar Howlett, marketing director for Coca-Cola Great Britain, added: “We’re proud to be working with Holly to bring some extra sparkle to Diet Coke activity this year.
“She’s the perfect partner for us. We’re looking forward to sharing what we have planned with Holly – watch this space!”
And whilst presenting now comes naturally to the 36-year-old television presenter, Holly previously admitted she was a “c**p” TV presenter when she first started out.
She said: “I’ve been really c**p at my job. In the beginning I was terrible, although I enjoyed doing it, which was kind of more upsetting. I spoke in a posh telephone voice, and I was so unnatural: I fixated on remembering lines rather than just speaking. It took me two years working away from the camera in a TV studio until I went back to presenting.”
And Holly also confessed she never used to be confident speaking in front of others.
She revealed: “My friends were amazed that I became a TV presenter. I was not a big talker at school – I never liked people seeing my braces, so I walked around with my sleeves pulled over my hands and my hands over my mouth in case anybody saw me smiling.
“In a group of people I knew you couldn’t shut me up, but it took quite a long time until I was comfortable enough to speak openly.”

Keanu Reeves teases Bill + Ted 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves says the ‘Bill & Ted 3’ movie is nearly ready.
The 52-year-old actor – who stars opposite Alex Winter in the time travelling movie – has confirmed there will definitely be a third instalment of the popular film series but admits it is currently being held up by the “business” side of things.
He said: “Bill & Ted 3 is right now stuck in showbusiness land so creatively we’re good to go but in the business sense, the rights and all of the complications and contracts that need to be made are not.”
And Keanu – who starred as Ted Logan in the 1989 movie and its sequel in 1991 – has teased some details from the upcoming film.
He added to Metro.co.uk: “Bill and Ted are supposed to write the song that’s supposed to change the world but it hasn’t happened so they’re older now and they’re still trying to find out that song.
“They’re possessed by it – their marriages are not quite working out and their kids are grown up. Future comes back and says if you guys don’t write this song, it’s not the world but the universe – all of time is going to break apart – so they’ve got more pressure and hijinks.”
Meanwhile, Keanu previously teased ‘Bill & Ted 3’ is “getting closer”.
He said at the time: “We’re closer and we’re not closer. We’re trying to get the story right. We’re working with this studio so we have a little bit of support, in a sense of like if the material comes through we’ll try and make this picture.”
Whilst Alex – who played Bill S. Preston Esq. in the original movies – revealed his co-star had been tuning into the old films for the last several months and was keen to do a third movie.
Alex said: “He started watching the earliest cuts of this movie a year ago, and was just super into it.
“It’s really funny, because I asked him (if he wanted to do a sequel) and I could tell he was waiting for me to ask. Because he was like, ‘Yeah, duh.'”
