Gorden Kaye has been laid to rest

OHMYGOSSIP — Gorden Kaye’s funeral took place on Friday (17.02.17) in Huddersfield.
The late ‘Allo Allo!’ star – who played the role of cafe owner Rene Artois in the World War Two sitcom – has been laid to rest in his home town today, almost one month after he passed away from dementia on January 23 aged 75 years old.
According to the Mirror Online, the service took place at St. Peter’s Church this afternoon and was conducted by Reverend Canon Simon Moor.
It has been reported the popular song sang in Yorkshire ‘On Ilkkla moor Baht’at’ was to be played whilst Gorden’s coffin was brought into the church, followed by a heartfelt eulogy from producer and friend Charles Garland and John Ratcliff.
Speaking about how the service will pan out, the Reverend said: “His producer and friend Charles Garland will give the eulogy and another friend John Ratcliff will give the valediction.”
And the ceremony was set to end with the track from the “Hovis advert” playing as mourners left the site.
He explained: “St Peter’s organist Stephen Smith will play ‘Praise My Soul the King of Heaven’ and there will be ‘Going Home’ from the Hovis advert and a medley of Gilbert and Sullivan songs.”
And the funny man’s co-star’s, including Sue Hodge attended the ceremony to pay their respects to the star, as well as “30 members of his family”.
He said: “I will be looking at Gorden’s early life, his love of Yorkshire and his character. It’s hard to know quite how many people will attend. There will be around 30 members of his family.”
The guests then continued on to a local crematorium.
And Gorden’s colleagues “miss him dearly” and vowed to give Gorden a “good farewell” when funeral plans were underway.
Speaking previously, Vicki Michelle – who played the role of Yvette Carte-Blanche in the popular series – said: “We will give him a good farewell, he was such a great man and we will miss him dearly.”

Peter Capaldi almost stayed with Doctor Who for another year

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Chibnall tried to persuade Peter Capaldi to do ‘Doctor Who’ for another year.
The 58-year-old actor – who joined the sci-fi series in 2013 – announced last month that he was bowing out as the iconic Time Lord when current show runner Steven Moffat walks away from the show once the festive special wraps up later this year.
But, according to Moffat, the 46-year-old writer – who pens the drama ‘Broadchurch’ and also wrote the mini series ‘Gracepoint’ – was desperate for Capaldi to stay as the time-travelling scientist when he bagged the job as the new boss last year.
Moffat told Broadcast magazine: “Chris tried to persuade him to stay. I knew it was a possibility that [Capaldi would] leave because Doctors tend to do three years. I thought that he might want to opt out, rather than go through the trauma of a change in command and maybe leaving a year later anyway. He came close to staying.”
‘Doctor Who’ fans went into mourning last year when Moffat announced he was stepping down as the show’s writer after seven years in charge, but he has admitted he almost walked away from the series when Matt Smith left as the Doctor in 2013
He explained: “For various reasons, during my third series I wasn’t as happy. It was the only time doing ‘Doctor Who’ where I felt it was slipping away from me a bit. I wasn’t quite as in control of it as I should be. I wasn’t enjoying it as much, and I wasn’t as pleased with it. I didn’t want to leave like that, so I tried to persuade Matt to do another year, but he was determined to go. And then having cast a new Doctor, I had to stay – and I wanted to because I was thoroughly enjoying working with Peter.”
And, although he can still return to the show to help pen series with Chibnall, Moffat has admitted he’ll probably regret his decision to quit for “the rest of his life.”
He added: “I’m sure I’ll miss it for the rest of my life and reminisce to very bored people about how I used to be something, I used to matter, then sob on their shoulder and get kicked out the pub.”

Bianca Gascoigne can't sleep after Jamie O'Hara ditch

OHMYGOSSIP — Bianca Gascoigne hasn’t been able to sleep since Jamie O’Hara publicly dumped her.
The 30-year-old glamour model was left humiliated last week when she found out the out-of-action footballer – who she met last month in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house – had ended their relationship without informing her and she has admitted she feels so embarrassed by the saga that she’s decided to jet off on holiday to recuperate.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (17.02.17), she said: “I’ve had a really hard time, I’ve not been sleeping because of my anxiety and the whole thing … I’ve actually just booked a holiday. I’m going away later just to clear my head. I’m going to turn off my phone. I’m just not sleeping. I think it’s because it’s still fresh.”
But it’s not just the breakdown of her romance that’s wreaked havoc with her nerves as the blonde bombshell – who is the step-daughter of footballing legend Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne – has also been branded a “cheat” after her romance with Jamie blossomed in the infamous abode while she was still in a relationship with CJ Meeks.
She explained: “Being labelled a cheat is such a horrible thing to be labelled but I’ve never done that in my life… I couldn’t help my feelings towards Jamie and everything is intensified in that house. Everything is a mess.”
CJ – who had been dating Bianca since Christmas 2015 – tried to persuade his now-former flame not to do the reality TV show at the time, but she is adamant she was always going to do it because she thought it would boost the profile of her strip club.
Bianca – who is the manager of the establishment in London – said: “I was just delighted to have the opportunity to go on there. I thought I would go on there to have fun, thought it would be good for the club, never thought I’d fall for someone in there.
“It wasn’t in my mindset at all. It just happened. When I got put for the programme I was single and we were on and off. It was difficult for me not to be able to talk about it. I wish it could have been different but that’s just the way it was. We were on and off. He wasn’t pleased I was going in there but I was going to go in there because it’s always something I wanted to do. It wasn’t right. I do get it because he’s really hurt.”

Candice Brown says GBBO judge will be 'incredible'

OHMYGOSSIP — Candice Brown thinks whoever takes Mary Berry’s judging job on the ‘Great British Bake Off’ will be “incredible.”
The lip sticking-wearing baker – who won the competition last year when it aired on the BBC – has no idea who bosses have lined up to join Paul Hollywood on the judging panel once the series shifts across to Channel 4 later this year, but is confident that the show will be “really good” regardless of who they get because they’ll put a different spin on it.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (17.02.17), Candice said: “I haven’t heard anything, but whoever they get will be incredible. It’s going to be different, people have different qualities and bring different things to it. The bakers will be different and Paul will still be on it and he’s great. I’m looking forward to it I think it’ll be really good.”
Prue Leith is the hot favourite to replace the baking queen on the show but, although she has admitted she is “close” to landing her “dream job”, she believes she still has competition from someone else at the moment.
She said recently: “I’m certainly one of the runners. I can wish. I can dream. I’ve had two auditions with them and lots of meetings. So I mean I think I’m close but I know there are two people in the running. One other person. Of course I’d love to do it. Who wouldn’t want to do it? I’ve known Mary for years and she loved it.”
Although she’s not yet bagged the role, producers are said to be keen to snap up Prue for the show because she carries similarities to 81-year-old Mary and they’re hoping her laid back personality will allow viewers to warm to her.
A source said of the 76-year-old restaurateur: “Both are from similar backgrounds, so hopefully viewers will be accepting and give Prue a chance to win them over.
“Following in Mary’s footsteps is a big challenge. But the producers are confident that Prue has all the attributes.”
And she’s not the only potential new face to grace screens when the popular show, which first aired on BBC Two in 2010 and remained with the broadcaster for six years, shifts to Channel 4 in a few months’ time as bosses are also looking for a replacement for previous hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.
The ‘Great British Bake Off’ hit the headlines in September when it was announced that Love Productions – the makers of the series – had chosen to accept a three-year deal from Channel 4 after negotiations between them and the BBC broke down because they weren’t willing to offer a large enough sum.
Within hours of the news breaking, Mel and Sue – who have fronted the programme since it first hit screens six years ago – revealed they had quit their roles as hosts in order to explore other ventures.
A few days later, Mary decided she too would step down as a judge on the show out of “loyalty” to the BBC, while her co-judge Paul, 50, caused a storm when he accepted Channel 4’s offer to remain with the series.

Tom Hiddleston impressed by beast in Kong: Skull Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hiddleston was impressed by the “truly monstrous size and scale” of Kong in ‘Kong: Skull Island’.
The 36-year-old actor plays Captain James Conrad in the action adventure movie and was amazed by the sheer size of the beast that was created.
Speaking from the film’s set, he said: “He is truly monstrous in size and scale and scope. He’s 90 feet tall.
“We’re captivated by Kong’s power and majesty. He is the mystery of the unknown, he is a terrifying force of nature with an intelligence we don’t understand.”
And his co-star Brie Larson, who plays a photographer working alongside Tom’s character, “couldn’t resist” but join the film because of the amazing work to create the gorilla.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “It’s huge and we’re talking about one of the greatest myths of all time. I couldn’t resist.”
Meanwhile, Tom previously admitted he felt incredibly lucky to work on the ensemble blockbuster.
He shared: “There was this palpable sense among every member of the cast that to be in a ‘Kong’ film was such a privilege and to be in these locations.
“Because there’s something very timeless about the myth of ‘Kong’ and the idea of mankind going into undiscovered countries, going into the jungle and being humbled by the power of nature as represented by ‘Kong’.
“Jordan [Vogt-Roberts, director] chose three exquisite locations on the planet where nature is at its most beautiful and terrifying. These were places of natural beauty and also danger. We just felt so lucky to be there.”
And Brie likes to make movies “as a form of activism” and is thrilled she can share the story of her character Mason Weaver as she believes it “represents the many journalists who risk their lives everyday”.
She shared: “I make movies as a form of activism. I believe we learn from what we see in our leaders. I’m proud to play Mason Weaver in ‘Kong: Skull Island’ because she represents the many journalists who risk their lives everyday to share with us the truth.
“Weaver leads with compassion and believes that unity cannot be obtained through aggression. I’m excited to share this film with you. And in the meanwhile I’m thrilled to have this platform as a way to connect us. Let’s work together. Lets be open to learning from each other.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dev Patel’s “heart rate rises a little bit” when he thinks about his Oscar nomination.
The 26-year-old actor has received a nod at the annual awards ceremony for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his part in ‘Lion’ and is in awe of the five nominations the movie has picked up across the board including for Best Picture.
He said: “The fact that our little movie, that we shot in the middle of nowhere, has made it to the Oscar stage is reason enough for us to be really happy. This has been the most beautiful journey …
“There’s not much more preparation to do at this point. Now, it’s up to the film gods and we are just really enjoying this time. But whenever I think it’s just a week away, my heart rate rises a little bit.”
And Dev is thrilled he will be able to take his mother to the event after promising to do so as a young child.
He added: “As a child you may say to your parents, ‘One day I am going to take you to the Oscars.’ But for that to actually materialise into a truth is quite amazing.”
Meanwhile, Dev is so “proud” to be a part of the movie as he can see first hand how it is “changing lives”.
He told People magazine: “Just to be spreading the message of love, unity, adoption and family is something I am proud to be a part of.
“A woman came up to me after a screening and said she had been on the fence about wanting to adopt, but after watching the film she said it gave her the courage to do so and she now felt it was her calling. The film is changing lives.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Caprice Bourret has fractured her ribs on ‘The Jump’.
The 45-year-old model has been left battered and bruised on the winter sports show after she flew off the ski jump during training and hurtled towards the giant inflatable security blanket below and whacked herself in the chest with her solid skis.
Speaking about the accident, the competitor said: “You are training eight hours a day so I’ve been tired and had bad falls, aches and pains and bruises.
“I hurt my head and fractured my ribs when I was practicing the ski jump. As I hit the airbag, my skis bashed against me.”
But the By Caprice Lingerie founder has had to battle on through the competition, regardless of the pain, because the contest has already seen Sir Bradley Wiggins and Vogue Williams pull out just two weeks into the show due to life-changing injuries.
She explained: “There’s nothing much you can do about that – you just have to bandage it up. Everyone else is so courageous and I don’t want to look like a wuss so I just have to get on with it.”
Caprice is set to take part in the skeleton on Sunday night’s (19.02.17) episode and has taken a lot of blows to the head during training for the risky sport and has almost wet herself as she glided along on a board at 60mph.
She said: “I can’t even describe how scared I am of the skeleton. I have never been so terrified in my entire life.
“I’ve head-to-toe bruises from it, bruises everywhere. I’m on the sledge thing – my head keeps scratching on the ice and making sparks fly.
“I’m going 60mph down what is essentially an ice cube. I was so scared, I almost wet my pants!”

Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell 'getting to know each other again'

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell is “getting to know” Stephanie Davis again.
The pair have been at loggerheads since the 23-year-old actress announced she was pregnant with the Irish hunk’s baby – something he’s denied until the little one was born last month – but it seems a reunion could be on the cards as they’ve been spending time together since he flew to the UK to meet his five-week-old son Caben last week.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Jeremy is still in Liverpool with Stephanie at the moment. They’re using this time to get to know each other again away from the cameras and things are going well. It’s been an emotional couple of days for them both but they’re beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Jeremy was keen not to miss any more time with Caben and Stephanie agrees it’s important for him to be there.”
The 26-year-old heartthrob – who lives in Dublin, Ireland – jetted to Stephanie’s home in Liverpool as soon as he got the results from the paternity test, which revealed he was the father of little Caben, because he didn’t want to miss anymore time with the tot.
A source said previously: “Jeremy spent the weekend in Liverpool and finally got to meet his son for the first time – and spent some time with Steph too.
“Caben is well and truly their priority now – nothing else matters other than the health and happiness of the baby.”
The brunette beauty fell in love with the heavily-inked heartthrob on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last year, but after months of breaking up and making up over allegations he’d cheated on her, they decided to call time on their romance in April.
Although he was adamant he wasn’t the father of Caben until he was born at the beginning of January, Jeremy has admitted he’s the “happiest man alive” after discovering the little one biologically belongs to him.

Chris Chibnall will write Doctor Who script before casting

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Doctor Who’s new boss Chris Chibnall won’t choose the person to play his Time Lord until the script has been written.
Rumours about who will take over from Peter Capaldi – who has played titular character since 2013 – when he bows out as the lead later this year have been rife in recent weeks, but the forthcoming 46-year-old show runner is adamant he’s not even thinking that far ahead right now and just wants to make sure the story is perfect.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph newspaper, he said: “We’ll cast the role in the traditional way: write the script, then go and find the best person for that part in that script. You couldn’t go out and cast an abstract idea.”
Some viewers have called for a woman to be cast as the titular character and, although he’s not giving it much thought at the moment, Chibnall – the creator of the crime drama ‘Broadchurch’ and the miniseries ‘Gracepoint’- has “a very clear sense” of what he wants.
He explained: “The creative possibilities are endless, but I have a very clear sense of what we’re going to do, without even knowing who’s going to play the part.”
The 46-year-old television writer will take over from current show runner Steven Moffatt at the beginning of 2018 once Capaldi makes his final appearance as the time-travelling scientist in the Christmas special later this year.
The 58-year-old actor made his announcement at the beginning of last month during a radio interview.
He said: “I suppose the big thing about [the new series] is it’ll be my last. This’ll be the end for me. I feel sad – I love ‘Doctor Who’. It’s a fantastic programme to work on. It’s been a huge pleasure to work with … a family, I can’t praise the people I work with more highly. I’ve never worked the same job for three years, and I feel like now is the right time to move on. [But] I’ll still be the Doctor for a while.”
And life-long ‘Doctor Who’ fan Capaldi – who took over the part from Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith in 2013 – admitted no other acting job had meant so much to him during his career.
He said at the time: “There’s never been anything more special for me. One of the greatest privileges of being Doctor Who is to see the world at its best. From our brilliant crew and creative team working for the best broadcaster on the planet, to the viewers and fans whose endless creativity, generosity and inclusiveness points to a brighter future ahead. I can’t thank everyone enough. It’s been cosmic.”
Capaldi will be joined in Series 10, which will hit screens in April, by newcomer Pearl Mackie, who portrays unknown companion Bill Potts, Matt Lucas reprising his role as Nardole and Michelle Gomez returning as Time Lady Missy – formerly known as The Master.

Gavin Rossdale was worried about joining The Voice

OHMYGOSSIP — Gavin Rossdale didn’t think anyone would want to join his coaching team on ‘The Voice’.
The Bush frontman joined the ITV singing show earlier this year alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson and, although he’s thrilled he accepted the offer to become a coach, he was concerned that the contestants would snub him in favour of the others.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, he said: “The biggest fear I had was no one wanting to be on my team. What if everyone goes: ‘F**k that guy?’ But it’s perfectly legitimate because I’, the one who has been in the band, who has been bashed around and struggled.”
And the 51-year-old rocker – who was previously married to Gwen Stefani – hopes the show will help boost the record sales of Bush’s long-awaited follow-up to 2014’s ‘Man on the Run’.
Asked if he signed up to the show to help his own career – like former judge Ricky Wilson did – he said: “Of course. It would be disingenuous to say it’s not self-serving as well. Maroon 5
However, the hunky singer says seeing contestants through the competition and realising their dreams gives him the biggest satisfaction.
He explained: “Aside from that, when you get involved in the show, and I mentored on the show in America, what takes you by surprise is when you meet the contestants who dream of being singers and getting on the show is the biggest thing that’s happened to them.
“It ceases to be about you, it becomes about the process of watching the singer’s blossom.
“When you give your life to music and then you get the chance to give back to people who are coming up, it’s a luxury.”

Tarell Alvin McCraney: It's hard to watch Moonlight

OHMYGOSSIP — Tarell Alvin McCraney admitted he found it hard to watch ‘Moonlight’ despite writing the initial script.
The 36-year-old American playwright and actor penned the initial script for the Oscar-nominated film ‘Moonlight’ back in 2003 – after his mother died from AIDS-related complications.
The film stars Naomie Harris, who plays the lead character Paula. It started previewing in the UK last week, is nominated for eight Academy Awards and so far has taken more than £200,000 at the box office.
But in an interview with Daily Mail, McCraney admitted he found it difficult to watch the movie.
He said: “I have made myself watch it, and Naomie’s depiction is so accurate. It’s hard to watch, because I wish she was here. But at the same time, I know she would be suffering.”
His mother had been addicted to crack, and died in her early 40s.
He said: “Her mind was gone. She was suffering near-dementia.”
But in a bid to help him come to terms with her death, he started writing his feelings down. He said: “I felt very lost, and I wanted to find a way to concentrate a lot of these guilty feelings.”
McCraney’s guilt stemmed from the fact he wasn’t at his mum’s bedside when she died – he last saw her a couple of months before she passed away.
He hadn’t planned on writing a script but saw its cinematic scope as soon as he read back his work but decided to shelve it.
The script only came to light when a friend asked him if he had any material that might work as a film.
The script was passed to director Barry Jenkins, whose own mother was also an addict.
Harris, 39, portrays a woman called Paula, who is battling with cocaine addiction, and ion order to get into the role she admitted she pretended she was a crippled pensioner.
The drama film, which is directed and written by Barry Jenkins, is based on the on the play ‘In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue’ by McCraney and explores the story of an African-American Chiron – played by Trevante Rhodes, Ashton Sanders and Alex R. Hibbert – as he struggles to find himself at various stages of his life.
The coming-of-age film is set in three parts – childhood, adolescence and manhood – and will see Chiron battle with a difficult home life, Miami’s drug-plagued inner city and his own sexuality as he goes through different stages of his life.

The 57-year-old director is best known for being at the helm of ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘Evil Dead’ movies but his is set to take on a new challenge when he teams up with Skydance Productions to work on the mystery thriller.
The film is just one of three projects being developed, based on tales about the infamous patch of the Caribbean where planes and ships have inexplicably gone missing – with Universal and Warner Bros. working on their own version.

Skydance has been working on the project for numerous years – a previous version of the script was also written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift – who worked on the reboot of 2009’s ‘Friday the 13th’ and the company had tried to get ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny Depp to get involved.

James Martin: I finally have my life back

OHMYGOSSIP — James Martin feels like he’s got his “life back” after quitting ‘Saturday Kitchen’.
The 44-year-old chef stunned viewers when he quit the popular show after 10 years on screen, but James knows he made the right decision as he is enjoying so much more quality time with his partner Louise Davies and their three dogs.
He said: “Now I’m not working Saturday mornings, I feel like I’ve got my life back.
“I can train the dogs, light the fire in the lounge and watch TV.
“Louise and I went shopping the other day and I said, ‘This is the first time we’ve done this in four years.’
“I used to spend Friday nights in London preparing to be on telly the next day.
“Now I can sit with Louise and the dogs and just veg out.”
James knew it was time to quit the show when his friends started warning him his hectic schedule was taking its toll on his appearance.
Speaking to Woman magazine, James said: “Before I quit, I was working non-stop and my mates said, ‘You look like trash, you’ve got to stop.’
“Between 2014 and 2015, I had 10 days off in two years. It was all work, work, work.
“On screen, I looked like I’d been out getting drunk the night before but I was genuinely knackered. It made me think, ‘I need to change my life.’ ”
And the final wake-up call for the star came when James saw someone die.
He explained: “I also saw a man die in front of me, he was my age and did a similar job. It shocked the hell out of me and I just thought, ‘I’ve done this for 10 years, I need a change.’
“I remember Michael Parkinson and Terry Wogan came on the show and they said, ‘Know when it’s time to go.'”

Ant and Dec call for earlier finishes on Britain's Got Talent

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec have reportedly written a clause into their contracts to stop “late finishes” on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The popular hosting duo were reportedly left unhappy last year when a number of the pre-recorded filming sessions ran well past their scheduled finishing time and left audiences, contestants, and production crews stuck at the studio until the early hours of the morning.
Now, the pair – whose full names are Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – have reportedly altered their contracts for the ITV talent competition to say they cannot work past 11:30pm.
A source said: “Ant and Dec love doing the show but some of the finishes last year wore them out.
“They work on a load of shows across the board for ITV so as part of their most recent deal they asked for a clause about late finishes.
“It’s the least they could do as they are the golden duo of telly and are well-loved by everyone.”
The source also reported that the show’s boss Simon Cowell has made it his “personal resolution” to make an improvement on his time management skills in order to prevent being late.
They added to The Sun newspaper: “It means Simon has had a kick up the bum too. And he’s made it his personal resolution to be better with timekeeping.
“Being back on ‘America’s Got Talent’ made him rethink his lateness too and he’s not missed a single deadline this year as a result.”
The news comes after the presenting pair – who also host ITV’s ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ – finalised their new £30 million contracts in November, which will see them tied to the broadcaster until 2019.
Ant, 40, and Dec, 41, said at the time: “We are absolutely delighted to be extending our relationship with ITV, to continue on the three shows we love as well as exploring further opportunities both in front of and behind the camera. This deal will take us past the 20-year mark with ITV and we couldn’t be happier.”

Kate Wright to quit The Only Way is Essex?

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Wright wants to quit ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The 25-year-old blonde bombshell only joined the popular show two years ago but she’s already thinking about turning her back on the series following a recent blazing row with producers and a fall out with her fellow female cast mates.
A source said: “Kate really hasn’t been happy for some time. She had a row with one of the bosses and has a prickly relationship with some of the other girls in the cast.”
However, the curvaceous babe isn’t planning to walk away from the show until she’s landed another gig and is hoping that bosses will sign her up to ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ now that she’s romancing retired footballer Rio Ferdinand.
The insider explained to the Daily Star newspaper: “She knows casting for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ begins in the spring and she’s knows if she gets picked she could leave ‘The Only Way is Essex’.”
Katie had agreed to keep her romance with the 38-year-old athlete under wraps, but the cat has been let out of the bag after her co-star James ‘Lockie’ Lock revealed that the news of the new couple came as a huge “shock” to the entire ITVBe cast.
The loose-lipped hunk said at the time: “Kate and Rio were a bit of a shock to the system for everyone. It came out of nowhere.”
Although the 30-year-old heartthrob wishes the pair all the best, he has admitted his loyalties will always lie with Kate’s ex-boyfriend Dan Edgar, whom she split from last year on the show, because he’s crushed by her dating revelation.
He explained: “My loyalties are with Dan. I’m on side with him. He has a lot of love for Kate and would have liked the idea of getting her back but then Kate met Rio in Dubai so he’s been left in the lurch.”
It’s not known when the beauty met the former athlete – who has three kids; Lorenz, 10, Tate, eight, and Tia, six, with his late wife Rebecca Ellison – but she was last in Dubai at the beginning of January when she jetted off on a girls’ holiday with her close friend Danielle Armstrong to get away from men.

Vincent Cassel says his energy drives him to play wildcard characters

OHMYGOSSIP — Vincent Cassel has admitted his energy drives him to play live wire film roles.
The 50-year-old film star is renowned for portraying charismatic characters – having starred as nobleman François Toulour in the ‘Ocean’s’ film franchise and played ballet director Thomas Leroy in ‘Black Swan’ but he has admitted his latest role in the melodrama ‘It’s Only the End of the World’, in which he plays under-educated carpenter Antoin, he was drawn to for his escapism.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, he said: “I guess there is something in me that’s like that. My energy has something to do with it. People call me for these types of roles, but it’s my fault because it’s something I’ve always been attracted to. I have this view, maybe it’s a bit extreme…because society is hard to live in we have to behave because otherwise we would pee on the floor, and we would f**k everybody, and we would say everything we want to say all of the time. But we can’t. So somehow seeing people on screen express these things is good for us.”
But when taking on these complex characters, Cassel has admitted it’s not tricky.
He said: “People who want you to believe that acting is hard and acting is important? It’s bullsh*t. Acting is easy. Trust me.”
Cassel played womanising restaurateur Georgio, in 2015 drama ‘Mon Roi’, who keeps leaving his wife for a mentally unstable but very sexy girlfriend and he was not afraid to defend his character when it faced criticism at Cannes Film Festival that year.
He said: “I heard people saying that he was a sadist or a manipulator. I don’t agree. He’s just a man. Men are like that. The truth that men, at a certain point, can f*** a lot more people than they should. They might. They would. And if they don’t it’s only because they are really controlling themselves. And if you say it’s not like that I think you’re lying.”
‘It’s Only the End of the World’ is released on February 24.
