Scarlett Moffatt's parents dropped from Gogglebox

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt’s parents have been dropped from ‘Gogglebox’.
After the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ star decided to take time out from the show to focus on her TV presenting career, Channel 4 announced her parents Betty and Mark won’t appear on the new series.
A spokesperson said: “The Moffatt family will not be appearing in this series”
And it has been claimed that Scarlett’s fame is the reason for the family leaving the show.
A source told the Sunday People: “The whole premise of ‘Gogglebox’ is normal people commenting on the TV.
“Scarlett is now a celebrity in her own right so it made sense she wouldn’t continue.
“She and her parents came as a package. It wouldn’t work so well without all three of them.”
Scarlett is keeping busy with a new role on ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’, presenting duties on ‘Streetmate’ and a new show with Alan Carr.
An insider said: “Channel 4 bosses are keen to make Scarlett one of their stand-out stars, and these two massive gigs are very much a part of that plan.
“Streetmate is an already- established show, so they are showing real confidence in her by signing her up when she has no presenting experience.
“Meanwhile, Alan is seen by many as the face of Channel 4’s entertainment so by positioning Scarlett alongside him, they are presenting her as one of their brightest stars.
“Both projects will be challenging, but the chiefs think Scarlett is more than capable of making them runaway successes.”

Simon Cowell's BGT beauty rules

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell “has very strict rules” about how the women on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ must look.
Amanda Holden admitted she steps up her beauty routine when she returns to filming the show, alongside Simon and fellow judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon, as Simon wants them to look “groomed”.
She told YOU magazine: “I have to shape up, wax my legs, up the glamour. I’ve been wearing a big dress in the ‘Cinderella’ panto so I’ve been able to get away with legs as hairy as Gary Lineker’s. But Simon Cowell has very strict rules about the way women should look – plucked, waxed, made up and groomed to within an inch of their lives. I agree with him. It’s the Joan Collins method of growing old glamorously.”
However, while Amanda agrees with Simon when it comes to grooming, she has no time for his jokes about female competitiveness on the set of ‘BGT’.
She said: “Simon jokes that he loves to set women against each other on his ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judging panels and I said from the start I would never do that. Alesha Dixon and I have been firm friends from the get-go. It’s massively important to me. I respect other women. I have daughters. I don’t want television to show women bitching and carping.
“I had a terrible image before I started ‘BGT’ and he let people see me as I am. There will always be people who don’t like me, but a lot more do now – particularly women. You can only change things one person at a time.”

Michelle Williams dances with Hugh Jackman on set

OHMYGOSSIP — Michelle Williams and Hugh Jackman love dancing together on set.
The pair are playing husband and wife PT and Charity Barnum in new movie ‘The Greatest Showman’ and Michelle has embraced dancing and singing with her co-star on set.
She told the Sunday Times Magazine: “I fell in love with singing and now I just want to sing. I find it terrifying, too, but once you do it, it’s not like the dentist — it’s kind of fun. And dancing There are just certain things that make me feel I’m a kid, that make me feel I’m a little bit free and a little bit unbound and I love it. I dance with Hugh Jackman.”
Michelle will also put her singing skills to the test when she plays the late Janis Joplin in a new biopic and although she is nervous, she can’t wait to take on the role.
She said: “Nothing like a challenge. It’s gonna get me going.
“It’s going to be a lot of work, but I’m thrilled. I do like to fight. Not with people, but for things that I want. I really enjoy the experience of wanting something and crossing the distance to get it. I don’t want a lot of things, but the things I do want burn me up inside and I get very excited about trying to reach them. I don’t mean I want objects — I want experiences and people. I wanted to play Janis badly and I reached for it. It’s nice to want something and think about what you could do to pull that thing closer to you.”

James Nesbitt almost died

OHMYGOSSIP — James Nesbitt claims ‘Stan Lee’s Lucky Man’ bosses thought they had “killed him” with a stunt.
The 52-year-old actor had to film an underwater scene for his role of Harry in the Sky 1 drama series and producers stuffed weights in his pockets to ensure he fully sank in the tank – and because the water was “murky”, divers took some time to find him and give him oxygen to help him breathe.
He recalled: “I remember filming this one underwater scene, in a 12ft tank in the studio.
“when you go in, they don’t know if you’re going to be a floater or a sinker so they put weights in your pockets.
“Of course, I sank like a f***ing stone. I sank like all the f***ing stones.
“It was really murky, so it took a while for the guys with the oxygen to find me, which was scary.
“And because I had the weights in my pockets, it took ages for me to get back up.
“When I finally it the surface, the whole crew was standing there terrified. I could just see them all thinking, ‘F**k, we’ve killed him.’ ”
James – whose character in the cop drama can control luck with a bracelet – enjoys playing a “flawed superhero” but admitted as filming goes on, he finds shooting action scenes increasingly tricky.
He told heat magazine: “We needed to find the ordinary in the man to play the extraordinary in the story, so we created a flawed superhero.
“I also like the fact he’s a bloke from Northern Ireland doing all this heroic stuff when he should be well past it. It is [action-packed]. I enjoy it, but it gets harder as you go on.
“You get a bit stiffer and you’re like, ‘Oh Jesus, here we go again.’ ”

EastEnders bosses praise 'consummate professional' Danny Dyer

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ bosses insist Danny Dyer is a “consummate professional”.
The 39-year-old actor is currently taking a break from playing loveable landlord Mick Carter on the long-running soap and show bosses have rushed to quash recent claims he was difficult on set.
A spokesperson told the Sunday Mirror: “Danny is always a consummate professional.
“Danny has never walked off set, nor has he ever lost his temper or been rude to anyone at work.
“Danny is an extremely popular member of cast and respected by everyone on the show.”
Danny has jetted off to South Africa for a holiday and friends believe he is exhausted after working non-stop since joining the show in 2013.
An insider explained: “Danny knows he has to rest-up and recuperate. He has been ground down by the workload on ‘EastEnders’ and then partying on top of it.
“This trip is going to do him the world of good. He can remain anonymous there and he can properly rest. He’s hoping to come back refreshed and back into work.”
His decision to have a temporary rest from filming comes five months after he tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Joanne Mas in a romantic ceremony in Hampshire.
The smitten couple may have only just got hitched officially but they have been together since 1992 and have children Danni, 19, Sunnie, nine and Arty, two, together.
And Danny’s break from the show will unlikely cause any issues for writers as his on-screen wife Kellie Bright – who plays pub landlady Linda Carter in the soap – is also enjoying some time off following the birth of her second child Gene in November.
Kellie – who also has five-year-old son Freddy with her husband Paul Stocker – said at the time: “It’s such a cliché but it really is a love like nothing else. In that moment you feel like everything you need is right there in that room … I couldn’t believe in only seven hours he’d arrived and my whole world and changed again.”
It’s not known when Danny’s alter ego – who has become one of the soap’s biggest characters – will leave screens.

Justin Timberlake's Trolls fear

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Timberlake admitted writing a song for the ‘Trolls’ movie was one of the hardest things he has ever done.
While the star has gone on to receive an Oscar nomination for ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’, he was originally worried that he and co-writers Max Martin and Karl Johan Schuster would not be able to pen a track that would work for the animated characters to sing.
He told The Wrap: “This has to work for the moment, these characters, and be filmic. It took a second to crack the code. I remember thinking, ‘We’re not gonna be able to do this.’
“This wasn’t just like writing a song for a movie – it was writing a song for characters that are going to sing it in the movie.
“That part had to work, and that’s the part that made it a task that none of us had ever done. And we had to push ourselves to do something that works in that way.”
However, once they got started, the trio discovered knew that they could pull it off.
He explained: “Once we got the hook going, that’s usually how it goes. Once you get the hook you can base everything off that.”
Max also admitted he was apprehensive at first but he soon discovered they were on to a winner.
He told Variety: “[Knowing when the song is ready for release] is one of the hardest calls. [But then I thought] ‘what do you mean? It’s a feel-good song with Justin Timberlake? What can go wrong?'”

Joe Manganiello acts for the cash

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Manganiello wouldn’t be an actor if it didn’t “pay the bills”.
The ‘Magic Mike XXL’ star – who is married to Sofia Vergara – insists his main priority is to be a “provider” for his family and he wouldn’t have pursued his career if he didn’t think he’d be a success.
He said: “If acting didn’t pay the bills, I would do something else. Bottom line is that being a man and provider always came first to me.
“I wasn’t someone who was going to waste their life chasing an unrequited dream because I needed to be seen and heard by other people.
“I’ve always believed in myself from the beginning and I’ve been tested in ways you can’t imagine when it comes to my career but I stayed the course because I made a better living at this than anything else I could think of doing.”
And Sofia – who has 25-year-old son Manolo from a past relationship – understands Joe’s struggles as she’s been through them herself but she believes a positive attitude is essential to survive in their industry.
She said: “This career is hard. I’ve been working towards my dream for more than 20 years.
“I think you can’t be a victim in life. That attracts negative things – with men, with family, with work. A thousand things can happen, but that’s life.”
When the couple aren’t working, they love relaxing at home and each have their favourite parts of the house.
Sofia told HOLA USA! magazine: “Joe seeps on the sofa, eats there, watches all his football games there on weekends. It’s his favourite place. He loves it.
“My favourite room is the bathroom – well, that and my closet. It’s not as big as I wanted it to be, but I made some adjustments – I took over the man’s side. I said, ‘Joe, you don’t need a big closet.’ And he said, ‘Yes love, just take it.'”

Emma Watson relies on self-help books

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Watson is a “sucker” for self-help books that can improve her life and career.
The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ actress has an online group in which she recommends feminist literature for discussion, but she admits she is also “really excited” by tomes that promise to help her improve her life.
She said: “I love it. I will get really excited reading something like Ariana Huffington’s ‘The Sleep Revolution’. I am a sucker for anything that promises to change my life.”
The 26-year-old star also had a surprising choice for her favourite-ever love story, singling out ‘Just Kids’, the memoir of punk singer Patti Smith’s lifelong romance with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe.
She explained: “I adored the idea that their love was like a ship that always needed balancing, and their affair transcended a sexual relationship and lasted right to the death. It was so ahead of its time.”
Emma has had numerous approaches to write a book on feminism herself but insists she won’t be doing so until later in life.
She said: “I need to see and do a bit more first. It’s not like I have been reading this material for years and I don’t have an encyclopaedic knowledge. It can be a lot of pressure sometimes, as people expect me to know so much.
“I’m no expert, and when people push me into a corner of ‘Here’s Emma Watson to lecture you on feminism’, it’s uncomfortable because I am aware I have a long way to go. I am not sure I deserve all the respect I get yet, but I’m working on it.”
When the British star gets time off, she is a “fanatical nester” and enjoys long periods in her own company.
She told ELLE magazine: “I’m the kind of person who needs 24 hours where I don’t see another living thing.”

Danielle Lloyd's baby due in August

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd will give birth to her fourth child in August.
The 33-year-old model – who has three sons, Archie, six, Harry, five and George, three, with her ex-husband Jamie O’Hara – is expecting another baby with her fiancé Michael O’Neill and has revealed that the tot will be born in August.
And Danielle told the Birmingham Mail: “It’s very exciting but I’m very tired. I don’t know the sex yet but I will find out if it’s a boy or a girl.
“The boys are more hoping for a sister, I don’t mind as long as it’s a healthy baby.”
Meanwhile, Danielle previously admitted she didn’t realise she was pregnant at first and thought she was suffering with a stomach bug.
In an interview with the new issue of OK! magazine, she explained: “I’d been falling ill over Christmas but didn’t think much of it as the boys had had stomach bugs. Then my period was late so I decided to take a test and it was positive. Me and Michael are over the moon; I’m due towards the end of summer.”
Although it only took the couple two months to conceive, the brunette beauty said she was starting to feel disheartened because she didn’t get pregnant straight away.
She said: “We stopped using contraception in September last year. We’d been trying for a few months and kept getting really discouraged when the tests were negative. So we decided to stop trying and just enjoy ourselves before Christmas, and bam, I’m pregnant. In January I realised my period was late which was unusual as I’m really regular. Michael told me not to get my hopes up but when I did the test it was positive.”
The pair – who began dating in September 2015 – were planning to get married this year but they have decided to push back the wedding until next year because the reality TV star doesn’t want to be a “pregnant bride” when she walks down the aisle.
She said: “I wouldn’t want to be a pregnant bride. Maybe in 2018 and we’ll definitely go abroad to get married, something small and intimate.”

Julie Hesmondhalgh: It would be wrong for me to play Hayley Cropper today

OHMYGOSSIP — Julie Hesmondhalgh says it would be wrong if she was still playing transgender character Hayley Cropper in ‘Coronation Street’.
The 46-year-old star played the beloved factory worker in the ITV soap from 1998 until 2014 but insisted that if the role was cast today, it should be played by a trans actor.
According to the Daily Mirror, she said: “It ended just as there was this whole movement of young trans actors coming through and it would have been such an anomaly, it would have been absolutely wrong for me to be playing that part now.
“It just happened at the right time that I went and everyone else took over.
“It felt the right moment and it would have been anachronistic for me to be playing that part now, it would have been strange.
“But I’m really proud of all that and it changed my life beyond measure. I still get a lot of love for it and get Hayley hugs.”
While Julie is hugely proud of her time in ‘Coronation Street’, she hopes that she will be remembered for the work she has done since she left, including acting in ‘Happy Valley’ and ‘Broadchurch’.
She said: “It never leaves you, it never does. I’ve left it, very much so, but she will always be part of me, will Hayley.
“I love that part and I love that whole time in my life but I feel very separate from it now.”

The 33-year-old actor and rapper – who will also star in the upcoming Han Solo ‘Star Wars’ spin-off – has been cast as the protagonist in director Jon Favreau’s live-action adaptation of the beloved Disney cartoon.
Jon shared a picture of Donald on Twitter and wrote: “I just can’t wait to be king. #Simba.”
He also revealed that James Earl Jones – who provided the voice of Simba’s father Mufasa in the original cartoon – will play the king who is murdered by his brother Scar.
He posted a picture of James and wrote: “Looking forward to working with this legend. #Mufasa.”
Matthew Broderick voiced main character Simba in the original movie, while Jeremy Irons voiced Simba’s evil uncle Scar.
Last year Disney confirmed the 1994 movie will be given a live-action reboot and Jon – who helmed the 2016 remake of ‘The Jungle Book’ – admitted he is “excited” about the project.
In a tweet complete with emojis of a lion and a crown, he wrote: “Excited for my next project”
Disney also confirmed songs from the 1994 movie will feature in the new motion picture and admitted the movie is on the “fast-track to production”.
Classic tunes from the film include ‘Circle of Life’, ‘I Just Can’t Wait to Be King’, ‘Be Prepared’, ‘Hakuna Matata’ and ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’, which were written by Sir Elton John and Sir Tim Rice.
‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ played out over the credits and went on to win Best Original Song at the 1995 Academy Awards.

Jeremy McConnell 'feeling blessed' after birth of son

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell is “feeling blessed” after finally meeting his baby son.
The 26-year-old ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star denied he was the father of ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis’ child Caben until he was born five weeks ago but now that he has met the newborn, Jeremy is completely smitten.
He tweeted: “Had an amazing few days, feeling blessed.”
And he previously shared a picture of the tot and wrote: “I’ll love this monkey with every bit of me.”
Jeremy travelled to Liverpool, from his home in Dublin, Ireland, earlier this month to spend some time with Stephanie, 23, and the baby.
A source explained: “Jeremy is still in Liverpool with Stephanie at the moment. They’re using this time to get to know each other again away from the cameras and things are going well. It’s been an emotional couple of days for them both but they’re beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. Jeremy was keen not to miss any more time with Caben and Stephanie agrees it’s important for him to be there.”
The heartthrob jetted to Liverpool as soon as he got the results from the paternity test, which revealed he was the father of little Caben, because he didn’t want to miss anymore time with the tot.
An insider explained previously: “Jeremy finally got to meet his son for the first time – and spent some time with Steph too.
“Caben is well and truly their priority now – nothing else matters other than the health and happiness of the baby.”
The brunette beauty fell in love with the heavily-inked heartthrob on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last year, but after months of breaking up and making up over allegations he’d cheated on her, they decided to call time on their romance in April.

Batman talks break down between Matt Reeves and Warner Bros

OHMYGOSSIP — Talks have reportedly broken down between Warner Bros. and Matt Reeves over ‘The Batman’.
The 50-year-old screenwriter, whose previous credits include ‘Cloverfield’ and ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, was in discussions with the studio about directing the much-anticipated standalone superhero movie after Ben Affleck stepped down from the role in January.
However, sources told Variety that negotiations between the two parties have now ceased, although they could resume again in the future.
The acclaimed filmmaker – who is currently in post-production for ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ – had always featured prominently on the list of potential replacements for Ben.
Meanwhile, Ben announced last month that he was standing down from the directing job to focus his attention on playing the titular role.
The 44-year-old hunk said he took the decision to concentrate on giving the part of Batman the “passion” it deserves.
In a statement, he explained: “There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require.
“Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”

Jamie Dornan: My sex life is not Fifty Shades esque

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Dornan insists the ‘Fifty Shades’ movies haven’t influenced his sex life.
The 34-year-old actor – who has daughters Phoebe, three, and Dulcie, 11 months, with his wife Amelia Warner – plays kinky businessman Christian Grey in the movie series, but the saucy subject matter hasn’t encouraged him and his spouse to be more experimental in the bedroom.
He said: “My wife and I aren’t into that so it hasn’t had any influence on our sex life.
“Obviously there’s a huge market for it but it doesn’t interest me at all.
“So I don’t think it has had any influence on our sex life. I can’t believe I’m talking about our sex life.”
When he and co-star Dakota Johnson had to shoot their sex scenes for the film, Jamie was relieved to do all the raunchy filming in one block, though it did make for a “bizarre” week on set.
He said: “Fortunately, they try to group as many scenes as possible. So you have a bizarre week where you try to shoot as much as you can.
“The weeks of the Red Room, as I like to call it, with more explicit parts, only people who are really needed are on set. So that makes it easier.”
While ‘Fifty Shades’ hasn’t impacted on Jamie’s bedroom antics, he admits the film saga – which is based on E.L. James’ raunchy novels – has changed his life.
He told OK! magazine: “It wasn’t just the movie, my life really changed in that period.
“My eldest daughter was born three days before we started shooting the first film and my youngest daughter, two weeks before filming the second one.
“In all ways, it has already had an impact on my life and then I get in sync with all the craziness around the movie. A lot more people know who I am.”

Lucy Mecklenburgh can't help Gemma Collins lose weight

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Mecklenburgh doesn’t think she could help Gemma Collins lose weight.
The 25-year-old beauty has her own fitness company Results With Lucy, and while her online venture has seen thousands of women sign up in a bid to shed the pounds, she thinks her former ‘Only Way is Essex’ co-star is too stubborn for her to be able to use her methods to overcome her much-publicised battle with the bulge.
She said: “I would take her on but Gemma is Gemma and she has to do things her own way. I think I would struggle to help her lose weight.
“When she puts her mind to something, she’s really determined and ambitious – she’s done really well with dieting before – but I think I’d probably let her do her own thing.”
However, Lucy would be willing to rise to the challenge if Gemma asked her for advice.
She added: “I’d be more than happy to help if that’s what Gemma wanted though.”
Meanwhile, though Lucy was recently rumoured to have a new boyfriend, the brunette star – who previously dated Gethin Jones, Louis Smith and Mario Falcone – insists she is keeping her personal life private from now on.
She told Closer magazine: “I’ve been in the public eye since I was 19. I’ve found having public relationships and break-ups really tough.
“No one ever knows what happens apart from the two of you.
“Things get exaggerated, rumours start, lies are told. But I’ve learned from my mistakes and I want a low-key thing now…
“I’ve made the decision to keep my love life private from now on – but I’m really happy at the moment.”

Milla Jovovich wants daughter to avoid acting

OHMYGOSSIP — Milla Jovovich didn’t want her daughter to be an actress.
The 42-year-old beauty – who began her career when she was just 11-years-old – was very proud when nine-year-old Ever featured alongside her in ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’ but admitted she had initially tried to dissuade the youngster when she first expressed a desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps.
Milla – who also has 22-month-old Dashiel with husband Paul WS Anderson – said: “It was the most unforgettable experience as an actress and a mother to be on set with my little girl that’s for sure.
“But when she first talked about acting, she was only five, so my initial instinct was, ‘Noooo.'”
The brunette beauty thought she had come up with a clever plan to put Ever off her ambition, but the youngster defied her expectations.
She said: “I was like, ‘Of course you are very welcome to act but you’ve got to learn to read first because when you go and audition, you’ve got to be able to read the script.’
“I thought, ‘Ha, if it means she has to take a few hours out of playtime to read every day, she won’t do it.’ And, whaddya know, she went up two grade levels in a year.”
And when Ever began embracing weekend acting classes, Milla admitted defeat and has allowed the youngster to follow her dreams.
She added: “I tell you, that kid is focused. And for me to see her excelling and loving what she’s doing – there’s nothing better or more joyful in life than that, as a parent.”
Milla loves nothing more than watching her two daughters together.
She told HELLO! magazine: “They’re amazing. There’s a big gap between them age-wise, but they adore one another.
“Ever is such a great older sister and when I see my girls together, with Ever pulling faces to make her sister laugh and that special bond they have, well, that’s just the best thing in the world.”
