James Argent checks into self-health retreat

OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent has reportedly checked himself into a self-help retreat in Thailand.
The 29-year-old ‘TOWIE’ star – who previously battled with his weight, spent time in rehab and admitted to being “badly depressed” – has taken some time off from filming the show in order to focus on his wellbeing and jetted to a Thai retreat, where he has been enjoying daily meditation sessions.
A source told The Sun: “Arg is in Thailand where he is trying to clean up his act. He wants to sort out his head and beat his demons once and for all.
“Being so far away from Essex and the bright lights is hopefully going to help him – acting as a kind of rehabilitation process. He is trying to make himself a better person and is doing some soul-searching.
“He wants to come back to the show stronger and is looking forward to doing so at some point in the future.
“Everyone just wants what is best for him.”
Back in 2015, Arg was suspended from the ITV Be show for failing to turn up to filming amid rumours of drug and alcohol abuse and he admitted his best friend Mark Wright threatened to ban him from his wedding to Michelle Keegan if he didn’t turn his life around.
He said: “I’m embarrassed to say this but so many people tried [to help] and got pushed away.
“Mark told me I wasn’t invited to his wedding if I didn’t change. When I went into rehab he got in touch because he was so proud of me.
“Underneath everything I was badly depressed. I was so anxious and tired.”
“At that point I was hiding from everyone in my flat. Lydia [Bright] would beg me to open the door. My mum would come round crying and I’d pretend I wasn’t there. I just couldn’t face anyone.”

Spencer Matthews dislocates shoulder

OHMYGOSSIP — Spencer Matthews dislocated his shoulder on ‘The Jump’.
The former ‘Made In Chelsea’ star was rehearsing for the Channel 4 winter sports show when he got into difficulty.
In a video obtained by The Sun Online, Spencer can be seen hurtling down the piste before falling over and colliding with a safety fence.
As paramedics rushed over to provide medical assistance, the reality star told them he had dislocated his shoulder but he managed to walk away from the incident after popping his shoulder back in.
He said: “I dislocated my shoulder … My shoulder popped clean out. It’s gone back in though.
“Those nets work. I always look at the red nets and I’m like they’re mental they’re never going to stop anyone … If that wasn’t there I’d be in the snow cross course.”
Spencer will still compete on Sunday’s (26.02.17) show as usual.
It comes after Spencer’s pal Vogue Williams was forced to pull out of the show after badly injuring her knee.
A source said at the time: “Vogue is absolutely devastated. She was so looking forward to taking part and has been training religiously. She’s one of the most competitive of the group and was in with a real chance of winning. But she fell very heavily during the ski cross training and really hurt her knee and on doctor’s orders she has had to pull out.”
And Sir Bradley Wiggins also had to quit the show after suffering a “small leg fracture”.
Taking to Twitter at the time, he wrote: “Gutted to be leaving The Jump. I wanted to give you an injury update …
“Seen a specialist, I have a small leg fracture & need to rest for 3/6 weeks. Good news no surgery or cast required …
“Huge thanks to the crew & good luck to all of the cast. Due to the way the show is filmed I’ll still be on until show 4, so tune in (sic)”

Sam Reece for Ex On The Beach?

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis’ ex-boyfriend Sam Reece is in talks to star on ‘Ex On The Beach’.
The 24-year-old model is reportedly being lined up for the MTV show, which sees reality stars reunite with their exes.
A source told The Sun: “Sam went to MTV’s headquarters in London earlier this month to discuss appearing on the show. Bosses know he would be an amazing signing for the sake of what he could say about Stephanie.
“He’s really fit too so would provide some great eye candy for the girls. But obviously it’s unclear at this point who his ex would be. If they could persuade Stephanie to join, it would be incredibly explosive viewing.”
Stephanie famously ended things with Sam when she fell in love with Jeremy McConnell after meeting him in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress dumped Sam after leaving the house and went on to have baby Caben-Albi with the Irish model.
Meanwhile, Sam previously insisted he has had “no contact” with Stephanie since before she entered the house.
He said: “I’ve not spoken to Steph for most of the year – we have no contact at all. The last time I spoke to her was the day she walked into Big Brother. I wish her all the best. She does have family behind her so she’ll be fine.”
When Stephanie was dating Jeremy, he even went as far to claim the actress was cheating on him with her ex Sam.
He wrote at the time: “Was gonna stay quiet about the whole thing and just let it come out normally, first of all I’d like to let people know I’m perfectly healthy mind and body and have took the break up privately, but when me and my family are effected by what I’d call a person with no shame, she is slandering me and trying to portray me in a certain light for a reason, to make me look like a terrible lad.
“People can choose to believe or not. I do not care. For months she was seeing Sam behind my back and now in Ibiza together. It will all unfold in time.
“People don’t know what I put with in that relationship. I was never perfect but please, don’t believe 90 per cent of what she says. I’ve messed up but I’d never be as evil. This will be my last message about her #bookclosed. (sic)”

J.J. Abrams: The Han Solo spin-off film has an 'amazing script'

OHMYGOSSIP — J.J. Abrams has teased the Han Solo Star Wars spin-off film has an “amazing script”.
The 50-year-old filmmaker – who was at the helm of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ – is looking forward to the hotly-anticipated movie, which focuses on the Rebel Alliance leader, played by Alden Ehrenreich.
He told Fox News: “I can tell you it is an amazing script and the cast is obviously extraordinary. I think it is a thrill to be a part of something that meant so much to me as a kid and to be part of allowing it to mean so much for kids now.
“It is fun to see it live on in various forms and ways even five years ago I would have never imagined it would have continued and knowing what is coming up is even more exciting.”
Fans were recently given a first look into the new movie when bosses released the first picture of the cast together to coincide with principal photography officially starting at Pinewood Studios, London on February 20.
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said: “Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous. We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”
Details of the plot were also revealed, with the story set to follow Han Solo and his sidekick Chewbacca as they encounter Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) ahead of the events of ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’.
It comes after Woody Harrelson teased he would be playing a “bit of a criminal” in the upcoming movie.
Of his character, he said: “I’m a mentor to Han. I’m also a bit of a criminal. I don’t think I should say more than that because the Force is not allowing me.”
The as yet untitled Han Solo spin-off movie is slated for release in 2018.

Holly Willoughby took Play to the Whistle for son

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby presents ‘Play to the Whistle’ to impress her son.
The 36-year-old beauty – who has kids Harry, seven, Belle, five, and Chester, two, with husband Dan Baldwin – will return for a third series of the fun sports quiz next week and admits one of the reasons why she took the job was because of her eldest child’s passion for football.
She said: “Harry is football mad. He’s as bad as his father. If he’s not playing, he’s watching it. I’m either dropping him at football, picking him up from practice, washing his kit, cleaning his boots… It’s a massive part of my life and Chester is showing all the signs of going in that direction too. So I’ve had to embrace it or I can’t be part of that conversation. Selfishly, this is my way of scoring brownie points with my son.”
The ‘This Morning’ presenter feels “very lucky” to have three children she adores and a job she loves.
She told HELLO! magazine: “Essentially, I just have a job and children.
“I have the same issues as the next person but I do feel very lucky that I’ve been blessed with three lovely children and then I look forward to going to work.
“A lot of people don’t feel like that.
“If I’m going to leave the kids in the morning, it has to be for something I care about or feel passionately about and I’m lucky to be able to do that.”
And for Holly, being a parent is far more important than her career.
She said: “All I ever wanted to do was be a mum.
“It wasn’t like when I was at school I thought, ‘Oh I’m going to be this big career girl.’ Being a mummy is definitely my most favourite job of all.”

Ollie Locke wants a baby in two years

OHMYGOSSIP — Ollie Locke is planning to have a baby in the next couple of years.
The ‘Made In Chelsea’ star is considering having one of his friends as a surrogate as he is desperate to welcome a child into the world after finding out his co-star Binky Felstead is expecting.
He told The Sun newspaper: “I want to have a child in the next couple of years and have even discussed this with a friend of mine who is in her late thirties. She hasn’t found anyone and potentially I might do something with her. It is certainly a discussion I’m having.
“I do have paternal urge, especially seeing my sister and obviously Binky too. Everything is all baby related at the moment and you very much get into that mindset.
“The first thing that went through my mind when Binky told me she was pregnant was that I realised that our childhood was over and we have to grow up. She was always the baby of the group and I thought, ‘It is time to grow up now.'”
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old television personality previously revealed how his past relationship with ex-girlfriend Catherine Louise Radford made him realise he was gay and not bisexual.
He said: “It’s the first time the viewers have seen me as gay instead of bi. I do say the words ‘I am a gay man.’
“For me, this is a big series because I’m talking very openly about gay life, which I have never really done before. I lived with a woman last year when I was off camera, we had two dogs together. And then we broke up and in December I thought, ‘That’s it now, I think I’m now gay.'”

Mary Berry would consider guest role on Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Mary Berry would consider a guest judge role on ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 81-year-old cook and food writer stayed loyal to the BBC when the baking show moved to Channel 4 but Mary hasn’t ruled out making a one-off appearance on the show alongside her former co-judge Paul Hollywood.
She said: “Of course I’ll be watching, I want to see what they’re up to. I’m sure they’ll choose good replacements [for ex-hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins], and Paul will be just the same.”
Asked if she’d take a guest judge role, she added: “I don’t know, I’d wait to be asked. I think it’ll all be different but I’m sure it’ll be good. I wish them well. I keep in touch with Mel, Sue and Paul – we text each other. It was like a family as we’d been together for seven series.”
Mary was amazed to pick up the Best Judge gong at the National Television Awards last month as she never thought she would win over ‘Strictly Come Dancing’s Len Goodman.
She added: “I had no idea I was going to win! I thought Len Goodman would win – we all love him and it was his last series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. It was a shock.
“People are very kind. When I’m on television, I try to be nice. I want to encourage people to cook, to bake and I want to praise them, I don’t want to get cross with them. I want people to do better, but I don’t think the way to encourage is to tick them off.”
And whilst Mary loves that her job allows her to meet lots of different people she has inspired to cook, she admits she hates taking selfies with them.
She told The Sun newspaper: “When I meet people they usually say, ‘Are you Mary Berry?’ And I say, ‘I’m afraid I am.’ And they say, ‘I make your lemon drizzle cake’ or, ‘Thank you for teaching my children to cook.’
“They never say nasty things. But I’d rather people didn’t take selfies. It’s sort of showing off, ‘I know so-and-so’, isn’t it? I don’t think it’s a good thing so I hope it fades.”

Kevin Smith was too happy to make movies

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Smith stopped making movies because he was too happy.
The 46-year-old writer-and-director previously vowed he planned to retire from the film industry in 2010 but returned with ‘Tusk’ in 2013 and he made the decision because he was “struggling” to find inspiration as everything was going so well in his life.
He said: “Happy people don’t make great art, it’s that simple. Great art comes from a place of pain and I don’t really have any more pain.
“My life worked out unbelievably, so for a while, I struggled. I stepped away for three years and thought, ‘I guess I shouldn’t make movies anymore.’
“After ‘Red State’, I was like, ‘I’ll go podcast.’ Then oddly, the podcast brought me back to movies, everything that’s in ‘Tusk’ and ‘Yoga Hosers’ came out of episodes of that.”
And Kevin admits if the concept of making podcasts had been around when he started his career, he probably wouldn’t have become a director.
He said: “I love it. Honestly, if podcasting had existed when I saw ‘Slacker’, all I would have done is a podcast about how much I love ‘Slacker’. But that didn’t exist so I said, ‘How do I show my affection? I’ll become a filmmaker.’ It worked out great – but I’m more suited to verbal storytelling.”
And the ‘Clerks’ director thinks his career is playing out backwards.
He explained to Total Film magazine: “Most people do it in reverse. They start in exploitation films, then do a little TV directing, then move onto features.
“You work youself up a ladder. I made ‘Clerks’ and suddenly I was a filmmaker. Everyone said, ‘You’re a director.’ Now I’m going backwards.
“I didn’t get to do weird, experimental fun s**t – I just made movies I could make, like ‘Clerks’, ‘Mallrats’, ‘Chasing Amy’, ‘Dogma’ … I was writing about a world I’d come from.”

Hugo Jackman's dream role as Wolverine

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugo Jackman’s 17 years as Wolverine is “like a dream”.
The 48-year-old actor praised fans of the Marvel character as he attended a special screening of ‘Logan’ at the Rose Theatre in New York City.
He said: “This is like a dream. After 17 years, I feel I’ve met every Wolverine and X-Men fan [in the street] … Honestly, these 17 years would not have been possible without you. I love this character, and I love you guys.”
Meanwhile, Hugh previously confessed he cried on the film’s set as he felt “very emotional” because he thinks director James Mangold is finally telling the story fans have wanted to see.
Speaking at a press conference recently, he said: “I love Wolverine. I will not miss it, for it will always be inside me.
“It was very emotional to make this movie. I always felt that there was a deeper story about this character.
“I’m very proud of the movies of the past, but I felt I had something more. Like a man. He did not want to be just the tough Wolverine, but the difficult Logan.
“I cried a few times on the set. I hope fans will say: finally, this is the Wolverine movie I wanted to see.”
And Hugh also admitted how he initially thought the character was “ridiculous” but soon realised Wolverine is more defined by his humanity than his powers.
He added: “I had never heard of X-Men when they called me for the test. When I read claws came out of his hands, I thought, ‘That’s ridiculous.’
“Wolverine is a different character. For me, he is more defined by his humanity than by his powers. He’s the hard guy to have on the team, but he’s worth having around.”

Amy Childs won't take maternity leave

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Childs doesn’t want to take maternity leave.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star may be due to give birth to her first child in two months’ time but she’s not planning to take any time off in the run up to her labour.
She explained: “No way (will I take maternity leave). I’ll probably have one day off a week. I’m very social and can take the baby with me everywhere I go. I love being out.”
The red-headed beauty has had a relative easy pregnancy so far but she has admitted her hormones have been all over the place and she’s been shouting at her boyfriend Brad Wright because she needs chocolate bars to satisfy her cravings.
She said: “At the minute, I’m very needy. Like, the other day I demanded he go buy me a chocolate bar. I felt bad because I should’ve been more police. He says: ‘Amy, you’re asking for a hell of a lot.’ And I’m like: ‘Sorry, it’s my hormones.’ I’ve been blaming my hormones a lot. The other night I was in the bath talking to the baby and he started to the baby too. If anyone had seen us, they would’ve thought we were nuts.”
And, although Amy would love to get married, she’s adamant that her and Brad – who reunited last week after he was released from prison – are focusing on their baby for the time being because they think starting a family is a big enough commitment.
Speaking to Star magazine, she said: “It’s all about the baby now. It’s a massive commitment and is the main focus for us. Everyone’s always saying ‘I hope he proposes’ but I’m not like that. I’m only thinking about the birth.”

Guy Ritchie is 'very collaborative' filmmaker

OHMYGOSSIP — Guy Ritchie is a “very collaborative” filmmaker.
Lionel Wigram, the ‘King Arthur’ producer, has revealed the 48-year-old filmmaker likes to work on a character alongside the actor that is playing them as it makes their performance and dialogue more “organic”.
He said: “As much as possible we try to do that with the actors. Guy’s very collaborative as a filmmaker, as much as possible we try to have a dialogue with the actors, especially early on in terms of forming their characters with them, working their dialogue with them. It’s more organic that way, and better for everybody, more fun.”
And Wigram also revealed more about Jude Law’s villainous part in the movie.
He said: “Jude is a fantastic actor, we wanted a fantastic actor. We wanted someone who could play a villain that had some real, interesting layers that we haven’t seen before. Who’s complex. Finding an interesting bad guy who’s not mustache-twirling it’s difficult to do.
“To avoid the cliché, we thought we could do it with Jude better. He’s helped us a great deal in terms of evolving the character, and turning it into something that I don’t think you’ve quite seen before. It’s pretty cool.”
Asked if the character’s completely evil or has some good in him, he teased: “I’d say he’s definitely evil, but you understand where he’s coming from. You sort of love him, even though you hate him.”
Wigram and Ritchie have teamed up for a number of period flicks recently and the pair love the opportunity to create this world which “suspends your disbelief”.
He told Collider.com: “We feel that they provide an opportunity to have a world that allows you to suspend your disbelief, and buy into the world, but without it actually being real. So we can have fun with the glamourous fantasy of the 60s, we can have fun with a steampunk version of the Victorian era, but somehow, because it’s period, it’s not like today.
“You don’t quite judge it in the same way, so you can get away with certain things, certain larger than life aspects that you might not be able to in another era. We think it’s a very good way to tell stories, we love period stuff, and we keep doing it.”

Robbie Williams pulls out of Let It Shine final

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams has pulled out of ‘Let It Shine’.
The 43-year-old singer was due to join his Take That bandmate Gary Barlow on the judging panel of the BBC One show’s final on Saturday (25.02.17), but due to an “ailment, he is unable to continue with the role of guest judge” and will be replaced by Peter Kay.
However, Robbie will still perform with his Take That bandmates Gary, Mark Owen and Howard Donald on the show, which is seeking to find performers to play a fictional boyband in Gary’s West End musical, ‘The Band’.
A message on the BBC One Twitter account stated: “Peter Kay to step in for Robbie as guest judge on tomorrow’s #LetItShine. Robbie will still perform with Take That!”
And a message on the BBC website said: “As previously announced, Robbie Williams will reunite with Take That for a special performance for the Let It Shine live final. Sadly due to an ailment he is unable to continue with the role of guest judge and we wish Robbie a very speedy recovery.
“However, we are thrilled to announce that Peter Kay will join as guest judge and sit on the panel alongside Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue and Martin Kemp for tomorrow night’s live final.”
Speaking previously about the show, Robbie said: “I’m looking forward to being back with Gary, Mark and Howard on ‘Let It Shine’ and am excited to be a guest judge for the very special final.”
Robbie took a break from the boyband on a number of occasions in 1990, 2009 and again in 2014.
He admitted he struggled to deal with fame when he was younger but now regrets backing away from the industry, although at the time he thought it was the “most sane thing” to do.
Speaking previously, he said: “Back in the 1990s when I went out there to promote my album I was not really dealing with fame very well at all – if I am honest I was not really dealing with much very well. It was when I realised that the more fame I got, the more insane I became. So I just stopped as I needed a place where I was not famous, because that would be the most sane thing to do. Now I have changed my mind and I really regret it.”
The final of Let It Shine airs on Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.

Stephanie Davis to rewrite autobiography after reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis has reportedly decided to rewrite the last chapter of her autobiography following her reunion with her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell.
The 23-year-old actress agreed to document her turbulent relationship with the Irish hunk in her forthcoming tell-all book after they split on bitter terms last spring, but she wants the negative details about him taken out of the copy now that they’ve buried the hatchet and are clubbing together to be parents for their six-week-old son Caben-Albi.
A source told the Daily Star Online newspaper: “Steph announced the book at the end of 2016 and was working with a ghost writer throughout her pregnancy. It is set to be as explosive as ever and detail the trouble romance of her and Jeremy. Jeremy and Steph are on great terms now so bosses at Ebury publishing want the book to reflect that.
“They are still going ahead with the release but the last chapter has been rewritten. Bosses want to see the ghost written copy completed within the next couple of weeks.”
Stephanie and Jeremy have only just started talking again after a recent paternity test revealed that the 27-year-old heartthrob was the father of the little one after he spent months denying that the tot belonged to him and that the actress was even pregnant.
Once he heard the result, he jetted from his home in Dublin, Ireland, to be with Stephanie and his son in Liverpool and he has remained there ever since.
And it looks like the pair could be set to spend even more time together as television bosses are keen to offer them “£50,000” to shoot their own reality TV show together.
A source said recently: “Steph and Jeremy are the hottest property in the reality TV world at the moment and producers are keen to get them their own show.
“It would be a ratings winner and the pair could walk away with over £50,000.”
Stephanie fell in love with Jeremy on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last year, but after months of breaking up and making up over allegations he’d cheated on her, they decided to call time on their romance in April.

Leah Bracknell offered 'six rounds of palliative chemotherapy'

OHMYGOSSIP — Leah Bracknell is only allowed “six rounds of palliative chemotherapy”.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who starred as Zoe Tate in the ITV soap – set up a crowdfunding page in a bid to find a cure for her terminal lung cancer but, although doctors are telling her they’re limited as to what they can offer her, she’s determined to remain positive.
Appearing on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (24.02.17), she said: “They’re telling you, ‘We can’t do this, we can’t do that, we can’t give you radiation but we can give you six rounds of palliative chemo and I just think I can’t change the diagnosis but what I can do is choose how I respond.
“Of course, It wasn’t the case when I first found out.
“But we are going to move on with this in a positive way.
“I’m going to choose to embrace life and going to choose to make positive decisions. I haven’t got the energy to react to negative stuff.”
The 52-year-old star was angry when she first found out she had the life-threatening disease and she has chosen not to be told when she may die and just be “grateful” for each day she has left.
She explained: “I reacted with anger at first and it’s why I don’t want doctors to guesstimate how long I have left.
“I don’t wake up every morning feeling fearful I wake up feeling grateful and excited about life.”
Leah launched a fundraising campaign in the hope of receiving treatment at a cutting-edge hospital in Germany.
And though she achieved her £50,000 target from public donations via an online page, she has admitted she needs more money as she will need “several” sessions of treatment and the initial outlay will only cover her first visit to the European clinic.
She previously wrote on her Facebook page: “Not in Germany yet, as there are many procedures to undergo first. But everything is moving in the right direction.
“The fundraising will still be continuing, as the initial target will likely cover only my initial visit, and it is more than likely I may need several more.”
Leah – who is now a yoga teacher – also thanked her fans for their outpouring of “love and concern”.
She said: “I cannot tell you how healing it is to be the recipient of such love and concern. It takes my breath away.
“Please know how grateful I am, and how I appreciate each and every message.”

Ant and Dec have 'sleepless nights' filming pranks for Saturday Night Takeaway

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec have “sleepless nights” when filming prank videos for ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’.
The presenting duo – whose full names are Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – are known for their joke videos on the popular ITV programme, in which they play tricks on celebrities, but have said they often get nervous before they film a segment as the “whole thing is ruined” if the unknowing celebrity catches them in the act.
Speaking about the prank they played on TV chef Jamie Oliver, which will be aired when the new series begins on Saturday (24.02.17), Dec said: “We start [working on the series] during the summer, so since last summer coming up with ideas of people we want to hit for undercovers – and Jamie Oliver is our first one for tomorrow night, and he’s been on our list for a couple of years!”
To which Ant added: “We kind of messed with his day really. Got involved with the photos… and we nearly get caught.
“We have sleepless nights before those things, because if he turned round and saw us then the whole thing’s ruined – all those weeks and months of planning.”
And the pair, both 41, admitted to still battling with nerves before the “first show back”.
When asked if they still get anxious, Ant said: “Yes. Always before the first show back.
“I’m really clumsy, and the fact I haven’t fallen [down the stairs during the opening shot] in 14 years – so who knows, tomorrow could be the night!”
Meanwhile, the duo – who also present ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ for ITV – are gearing up to celebrate 20 years of their children’s television programme ‘SM:TV’ next year, and have said they plan to do “something” if they can get fellow presenter Cat Deeley on board.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (24.02.17), Dec said: “We are talking about maybe doing something if we can get Cat [Deeley] back from America – she’s a big star out in America now – so she might come back if we beg!”

Linda Lusardi's model past never a part of daughter's life

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Lusardi’s topless modelling past has “never really been part” of her daughter Lucy Kane’s life.
The 58-year-old beauty gave up her job as a Page 3 model 10 years before her daughter Lucy – who is currently competing in ITV singing competition ‘The Voice UK’ – was born, and says she was seven years old before she found out about her mother’s raunchy career.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (24.02.17), Linda explained: “I feel like I’m talking about a different person. As I say, I gave up 10 years before Lucy was born, eight years before I met her dad [Samuel Kane], so it’s never really been part of their lives at all.
“I do remember we were up clearing out the loft and we’d got all my cuttings and I was like ‘Oh dear, how do I deal with this?’ and I think Lucy was about seven. And I was like ‘Look, this is what mummy used to do Lucy, I used to have pictures in the papers.’
“She went ‘Oh mummy that’s a lovely shot, shame you forgot to put your bra on.'”
Since quitting her job as a model, Linda decided a few years back to take up photography and now has her own studio in her home in Hertfordshire.
She said last year: “All the time I was doing photoshoots, I was learning about it, but I was put off by the darkrooms. Then digital came along and everyone seemed to become a photographer. I know what it’s like on both sides of the camera and how to make people relax into it if they’re nervous.
“Even when I was a model, the photographers liked working with me because I could help other girls. Lighting is the most important element. It doesn’t matter who you’re photographing, if you haven’t got decent lighting it’s going to be a problem.”
