Marvel movies are a big part of my life, says Kathryn Newton

OHMYGOSSIP — Kathryn Newton loves being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 27-year-old actress – who played Cassie Lang in 2023’s ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ – has fulfilled a long-held dream by becoming part of the money-spinning film franchise.
The Hollywood star told Empire magazine: “I started watching those movies when I was eight years old. So they’re a big part of my life.
“Honestly, one of the biggest goals of my career was to be a Marvel superhero. I would do it forever if I could.”
Despite this, Kathryn remains determined to try her hand at different roles and on-screen challenges over the coming years.
The actress was just four years old when she landed her first role in ‘Bun-Bun’, a short film for HBO, and she remains as enthusiastic about her work as she ever has been.
Recalling her debut appearance, Kathryn said: “I didn’t even say my lines half of the time. I just thought I was dressing up.”
Meanwhile, Kathryn previously admitted that her Marvel opportunity “came out of thin air”.
The actress also acknowledged that casting director Sarah Finn changed the course of her life.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I had a meeting with Peyton Reed, our wonderful director, and it was really, really, really weird. It came out of thin air. That’s how it felt to me.
“I think Sarah Finn saw something in me a long time ago. I don’t know what she saw in me, but I was lucky enough to be cast in ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ and ‘Pokemon Detective Pikachu’, both of which were through Sarah Finn. There could be another one in there, but I think she’s the reason that I got introduced to the MCU. And then Peyton also believed in me.
“He saw me as Cassie Lang, and it just takes one person to change your life. And they both did.”

Ellie Leach eyes Hollywood move

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Leach wants to go to Hollywood.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress admitted taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – which she won in December with professional partner Vito Coppola – gave her more confidence to try new things and she’s no longer afraid of the possibility of failure.
She told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “I’m open to going to Hollywood. Why not? Who wouldn’t want to do films?
“Doing ‘Strictly’ has really opened my eyes and made me want to do new things. I was quite scared to say yes to things before I did the show. I was quite nervous to throw myself into things.
“But now I’m like, ‘What’s the worst that can happen?’. If it’s not for me then I can say, ‘At least I tried’. I want to go for things now. I’m excited to see what will happen.”
Ellie praised the likes of former ‘Neighbours’ star Margot Robbie – who is Hollywood’s highest-paid actress – ex-EastEnders actor Ben Hardy and ‘Game of Thrones’ Nathalie Emmanuel, who got her big break on ‘Hollyoaks’, from breaking away from soap to become internationally successful.
She said: “They’re inspiring. They’ve started off on soaps and then moved on to other things. It’s nice to look up to people who have come from the same background.”
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old star recently admitted she would be open to returning to ‘Coronation Street’ one day because producers never killed off her alter ego Faye Windass – who she had played for 12 years before her departure last year – so the possibility will always be there.
Speaking on ‘The One Show’, she said: “I mean never say never! She didn’t die! I spent so many amazing years there and grew up there. They will always be like my family! It was an amazing experience there.”

Jennifer Metcalfe put off marriage by multiple Hollyoaks weddings

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Metcalfe’s multiple ‘Hollyoaks’ weddings have “put [her] off” getting married.
The 40-year-old actress’ alter ego, Mercedes McQueen, was recently set to wed for the sixth time to Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) before it emerged she had been having an affair with his best friend Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and the brunette beauty – who has been romancing a mystery man since December – admitted her frequent forays into bridal wear have been enough for her to not be interested in tying the knot in real life.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “I think it’s my sixth wedding, but obviously not all of them have resulted in a marriage as they’ve not worked out for one or another reason.
“It’s been enough to put me off!
“It’s one of those things that you have to meet someone and want to get married — who knows what’s going to happen?
“And I think you can meet people and be so in love but marriage might not suit them.”
Jennifer has been with ‘Hollyoaks’ for almost 18 years and she still loves working on the show as much as ever.
She said: “I think I must have projected putting my roots down here.
“When I first started, I only signed a six-month contract, but I thought, ‘Right, let’s jump right in and buy my first flat here’.
“I didn’t know how long the character would stay for but I’m still here 18 years later. I love living by ‘expect nothing and accept everything’.
“So each year when my contract came round I just thought, ‘Well I’m enjoying myself’, so there was never a reason to leave. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier.”
And the actress had a great time shooting the soap’s recent stunt, a multiple car crash sparked by Felix’s anger over Mercedes and Warren’s affair.
She said: “The stunt was amazing to film. I’m very lucky. It’s always a beautiful experience and there’s always this buzz on set when we’re filming on location.
“Whenever I work with Jamie and Richard we have the best days together. It’s not like working, they’re my best friends. It feels brilliant, and sometimes on set it’s still like my first day.”

Dancing on Ice’s Greg Rutherford ‘a little bit’ worried injury will affect this weekend’s live show

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Dancing on Ice’ star Greg Rutherford is “a little bit” concerned about how his injury will impact his performance on Sunday’s (18.02.24) live show.
The retired Olympic long-jump champion retired from the sport in 2017 due to injuries, and after he suffered a nasty groin injury in training, Greg – who is partnered with Vanessa James on the ITV figure skating show – has admitted if it gets “any worse” it could cause him problems this weekend.
Speaking on ‘Alexis Conran and Friends’ on Channel 5, she said: “I’ll be retired now five years… and my body isn’t what it once was anyway. And I had to retire due to injuries anyway. So it’s very tough. And the thing is, you never lose the mindset of what you have. So in training and everything else, you’ll always push yourself. But the problem is things like this then take place and then you deal with it again, which is less than ideal.”
The host then asked if he’s worried his injuries will impact his performance on the show, to which he replied: “A little bit, yeah we’ll see, we’re having to push through to this weekend, I’m 100 per cent going to be fine for the weekend. I just hope it doesn’t get any worse. If it doesn’t get any worse. I’ll be fine.”
The pair scored their highest mark of the series on last week’s show with a ravishing Salsa to Ricky Martin’s ‘La Bomba’.
Meanwhile, Greg previously admitted he felt “absolutely awful” when Vanessa got hurt on the ice after he “threw her completely wrong”.
He told Express.co.uk: “We practised one of the flows that we were doing and I basically threw Vanessa completely wrong and really hurt her.I felt awful, absolutely awful. That really did hit me quite hard but it hit her harder as she hit the ice.”
Tune into ‘Alexis Conran and Friends’ weekdays from 12.45pm on Channel 5.

Bob Odenkirk’s new action movie Normal is ‘full of red herrings’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bob Odenkirk’s new action movie ‘Normal’ is “full of red herrings” and the suspense is comparable to a film by M. Night Shyamalan.
The ‘Breaking Bad’ star is returning to the big screen for another action movie following the success of 2021’s ‘Nobody’ and he’s re-teaming with the film’s writer Derek Kolstad – who also worked on the ‘John Wick’ movies – for new offering ‘Normal’ which follows the story of a temporary sheriff in a sleepytown who gets caught up in a criminal conspiracy.
Bob has now revealed the film is more than just a regular action movie, telling The Hollywood Reporter: “When they presented the idea [for Normal] to me, it just had this quality to it I don’t think I’ve seen in an action movie in forever.
“I’m going to call it suspense mystery. You could argue that the ‘Bourne’ films, especially the early ones, have that element, where he’s trying to explore and solve a mystery, the mystery of his own past. There’s that sort of dimension in this story … ”
He added: “We don’t want to give anything away. But the first thing I said [to Derek] was, ‘This has an M. Night Shyamalan-kind of level of suspense and mystery’. There’s a sustained sequence of figuring out what really is going on, including some major red herrings.”
Derek added of the new film: “If I were to describe ‘Normal’, I’d say it was a love letter to Hitchcock and the British crime thrillers I grew up with as a kid, it has the more grounded elements of films from the 1970s.”

Anya Taylor-Joy confirms cameo in Dune: Part Two at world premiere

OHMYGOSSIP — Anya Taylor-Joy makes an appearance in ‘Dune: Part Two’.
The 27-year-old actress walked the red carpet alongside Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya at the world premiere of Denis Villeneuve’s second film of a two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel ‘Dune’ by Frank Herbert, sparking speculation she has a cameo in the film.
And in an interview with Warner Bros. UK on the red carpet, she teased: “You’ll have to see the film.”
She then confirmed: “Having seen it, this is probably one of the best movies I’ve seen in my entire life. Genuinely, Denis has killed it, it’s incredible.
“This is a dream come true, you know? The books are incredible but with this cast and with Denis, it doesn’t get any better than that.”
Her role remains a mystery.
Other new cast members include Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, Austin Butler and Léa Seydoux.
Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem are returning alongside Timothée and Zendaya.
Timothée – who stars as Paul Atreides – said he has everything crossed that a third movie will happen.
He told reporters: “I hope so, I hope so.”
Denis recently insisted the third ‘Dune’ film will be his last in the franchise.
The filmmaker says ‘Dune Messiah’ will be his final outing if it’s green-lit, despite there being four more books.
He told Time magazine: “Dune Messiah should be the last Dune movie for me.”
Zendaya recently said she would “of course” return for ‘Dune 3’.
The 27-year-old actress is open to reprising her role of Chani in a potential ‘Dune Messiah’ film and insisted that she will work with the director again anytime he asks.
She told Fandango: “Would we be down? I mean of course. Anytime Denis calls it’s a yes from me, at least. I’m excited to see what happens. I started Messiah and I was like, ‘Woah, I’m only shooting the first movie. Let me just go back to the first one.’ It’s so much to take in, and I think there’s no better hands with better care and love for it than him [Villeneuve].”
‘Dune: Part Two’ hits cinemas on March 1.

Christine McGuinness insists autism ‘wont hold her back’ as she gears up for new TV role

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine McGuinness wants to “grab opportunities with both hands” since being diagnosed with autism.
The 35-year-old model – who was married to comedian Paddy McGuinness from 2011 until 2022 and has Felicity seven, and 10-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, with him – saw her children all diagnosed with the developmental condition before finding out that she had it herself but has insisted as she gears up to take part in the BBC’s ‘Pilgrimage’.
She said: “Since my autism diagnosis, it’s really made me want to grab opportunities with both hands. I want to say yes to more things, things that I would always say no to, because I find socialising quite awkward.
“I don’t really like being pushed out of my comfort zone, but I’m realising more and more that I want to live, I want to do more things, I want to have good memories, I want to make friends, I want to learn more about other people, and the only way I can do that is by pushing myself a bit.”
The former ‘Real Housewives of Cheshire’ star will join six other famous faces on the new series of the show that sees a group of people all with differing beliefs and faiths, embark on a medieval journey.
This time, the travellers will make their way to Celtic early Christian saints, with Bardsey Island the fabled ‘Island of 20,000 saints in Wales’, just off the western tip of the Llyn Peninsula and Christine will be seen alongside former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Spencer Matthews – who was christened in into the Church of England but is “still searching for answers – Jain TV presenter Sonali Shah, lapsed Muslim comedian Eshaan Akbar, practising Catholic and former ‘Traitors’ contestant Amanda Lovett, Jewish actor Tom Rosenthal and wildlife presenter Michaela Strachan, who claims her religion is found within the natural world.
Spencer said: “I’d be pretty low in the faith knowledge bracket, but I’m on a quest to broaden my knowledge and religious horizons. I’m an open mind, an open book. I want to learn about different faiths, cultures and religions and develop a firm understanding of my faith and how it can potentially play a larger role in my life.”
Previous celebrities to have taken part in the series include ‘Gogglebox’ legend Scarlett Moffatt, ‘Hi-de-Hi’ star Su Pollard and former ‘EastEnders’ actress Rita Simons.
‘Pilgrimage: The Road to Wild Wales’ is coming soon to BBC Two and BBC iPlayer

Traitors winner Harry Clark signs with top agent after getting advice from Gary Neville

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Clark has signed with a top agent after getting advice from Gary Neville.
The 23-year-old former army engineer is looking to carve out a career in television after winning the latest series of ‘The Traitors’ and has now revealed how Sky Sports football pundit and ex-England defender Gary, 48, advised him that he would just need a good lawyer to succeed.
Harry told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “Gary Neville stayed true to his word to provide me with amazing legal advice.
“I met over 15 agencies and feel InterTalent are perfectly placed to guide me. Things are looking exciting already”
Harry – who won £95,000 after conning his fellow contestants into believing he was a Faithful on the hit BBC reality show when in fact he had been a Traitor the whole time – has now joined a client roster at Inter Talent that includes the likes of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Shirley Ballas, former ‘EastEnders’ star Ross Kemp and footballer Vinnie Jones.
Just weeks ago, it was claimed that Harry is in talks to appear on this year’s edition of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’
A source told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: “‘ The Traitors’ was so huge this year and since they left, the finalists’ feet have barely touched the ground. All of them have been swamped and, as the winner, Harry has been at the centre of the whirlwind.
“Since the win, he has been approached by casting directors from ITV who want him to appear in the jungle this year. He would be a great get for them and he is seriously considering saying yes – it would be a really incredible opportunity.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley are joining ‘This Morning’ as the main presenters.
The two TV stars will make their debut on the ITV1 magazine show in March and are expected to be seen from Monday to Thursday, while Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary will continue in their roles as Friday presenters and holiday cover.
Ben said: “This really feels like a very special moment for Cat and I to be part of the next chapter of ‘This Morning’.
“It’s an honour to be trusted with the reigns, join Alison and Dermot and all the team that work on and off screen and do such a great job. For the last ten years, I’ve been waking up with our ITV daytime audience on GMB and I now look forward to spending time with Cat, welcoming the viewers home after the school run or from their early morning routines, with a cup of tea and a mix of everything that makes ‘This Morning’ so loved.”
Cat – who began her career on children’s television alongside Ant and Dec and went on to host ‘Stars in Their Eyes’ before finding further success in the US – is thrilled to be joining the “national institution” and vowed to “take care” of it as well.
She said: “‘This Morning ‘is a national institution. Whenever it’s on, it’s like having your friends over – funny, smart, silly, heartfelt, informative and joyful – like all the greatest friendships! This Morning is and always will be the viewer’s show.
“Ben and I both know how much people love it, and with the help of an amazing team of people, we’re going to do our best to take care of it.”
The news was also announced at the top of Friday’s (16.02.24) when ‘Tipping Point’ star Ben, 49, turned to the camera in a pre-recorded segment and said: “See you soon!”
Just behind him, a picture of former ‘SMTV: Live’ presenter Cat, 47, came to life and she gave a wink to the audience before the show resumed normal procedure, with regular Friday hosts Alison and Dermot at the helm.
Dermot said: “Welcome to your Friday this morning, and, Ben and Cat, welcome to the family! The lovely thing is we know them well, I started out my career with Ben at ‘T4’, and Cat is just a joy”
Alison added: “We’re so, so happy that they’re joining the family. Ben and Cat. This is gonna be great, and they’re joining us in March!”
Towards the end of last year, Cat stepped in for a trial run of a week of shows alongside ‘Good Morning Britain’ host Ben and the show has been searching for a pair to take on the coveted TV jobs following the departures of long-running hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
‘This Morning’ editor Martin Frizell commented: “The team and I have relished the opportunity to try new things these past few months and remind viewers what a massively talented team both on and off screen we have here at This Morning. We can’t wait to welcome Ben and Cat fully into the fold next month and witness the start of another exciting chapter in the show’s 35-year journey.”

Sophie Winkleman says kids should have ‘brick phones’ instead of smartphones

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Winkleman wants children to be given “brick phones” instead of smartphones to avoid screen addiction.
The 43-year-old actress, who is also known as Lady Sophie Windsor, argued that there were “only downsides” to giving youngsters smartphones, and bashed social media apps like Tik Tok, Snapchat and Instagram.
The ‘Sanditon’ star told The Telegraph: “Something needs to happen from higher up. I don’t know how anyone can defend social media and smartphone use for under-16s.
“When people say, ‘I want to know my child is safe…’ There are different kinds of brick phones that call and text. If you really want to know where your child is every second of the day, you can put a little tracker in his trainer. Why do they need anything other than to call and text each other?
“I don’t understand it. There’s only downsides.”
Sophie also bashed the over-reliance of screens in education, and said that she was “anxious and frustrated” that Britain was continuing to drink “the tech Kool-Aid”.
She said: “I feel that digital learning is a huge problem.
“Big countries like China are dramatically rowing back on tech in the classroom. And Sweden’s torn up its digital charter and is going back to books, paper and pen.
“It’s happening all over the world in countries like East Asia who have the best education systems in the world. Bill Gates himself said that devices have a terrible record in the classroom.
“I’m anxious and frustrated that Britain is still drinking the tech Kool-Aid, thinking that digital learning is progressive and shiny, and it’s actually being proved to be the very opposite.”
Sophie insisted that giving children a handheld device at a young age would damage their brain development, and highlighted the insidious tricks companies use to hook youngsters to screens.
She then said social media was “without a doubt” the culprit behind a rise in mental health problems amongst youngsters.
The ‘Peep show’ star explained: “We have to wipe it out for all of them. Then they can simply text each other or call each other and have a phone call at night instead of going down endless rabbit holes.
“None of this stuff has an upside, and I want people to come together and say, ‘Let’s get rid of this. For every child in Britain’.”
“The brick phones do everything children need. They don’t need anything else.”

Gladiators star Cobra says reboot is ‘too friendly’

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Wilson thinks the ‘Gladiators’ reboot is “too friendly”.
The 60-year-old athlete, who was also known as ‘Cobra’ on the original ITV show in the ‘90s, revealed he believed the new version of the programme isn’t rough enough and is overly “Gladiator-friendly”.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “They need to change The Duel – it is too friendly.
“The platforms are too close, a smaller guy can duck and dive and out of the way of them pugil sticks usually. But the heads of the pugil sticks are too big.”
‘Cobra’ also emphasised he believed that larger contestants had an unfair advantage over those with a slighter stature.
He explained: “I can’t see anyone at the moment like a smaller guy being able to win against their big legs, knocking them off.
“They need to be able to duck and dive and make the other guys lose their balance. You need to spread them apart.”
“Also, there’s another game called Danger Zone where we use huge grey balls against a consistent running across a bridge, what we’ve got now is rubbish and not as effective.
“They won’t cost a lot of money to use the balls so they need to bring that back. I think it probably needs another series to perfect everything.”
Michael had also previously admitted he was not a fan of the new ‘Gladiators’ costumes, because they were “really unflattering”.
He explained: “The outfits … They’re really unflattering and just horrible really. I thought they could have done a lot more with them.”
As well as having problems with the reboot, ‘Cobra’ revealed also took issue with the original series, and said he was paid less for ‘Gladiators’ than for his appearances in pantomimes.
He explained: “People don’t realise the best money really weekly was panto. When you see the papers often say, ‘They’ve ended up doing some panto’, and some of these big soap stars were getting £20,000 a week. Frank Bruno was on £25,000 a week in the ’80s.
“He used to get a ribbing for it, but it was that much money in the ’80s, let alone now. Paul O’Grady, when he appeared in the Birmingham Hippodrome, he was on £100,000 a week short-term.
“The best money I got was from that and personal appearances. You might have five in a week and we get between £750 and £2,000.”

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan would ‘maybe’ marry Michal Jones – but only if a prenup was involved

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan would “maybe” consider getting married again – but only if there was a prenup involved.
The 58-year-old star was initially married to ‘EastEnders’ actor Shane Richie and has Shane Jr, 35, and Jake, 31, with him as well as 22-year-old Ciara with second husband Ray Fensome and is currently in a relationship with Michael Jones, 57, after meeting him on Tinder but hinted she would only tie the knot again if there was a financial agreement in place.
Speaking on the ‘How to be 60’ podcast, she told fellow ‘Loose Women’ star Kaye Adams: “I think Michael would very much like to get married at some point. ‘If it meant a lot to him, maybe I would, but I’d bloody make him sign a great big piece of paper before I did, because I’m not going through that again.
“I’ve looked into it. 100 per cent. It’s sorted from there and it’s a reference point; no-one thinks they’re going to split up. I got married twice thinking both of them were for life. I never went into marriage thinking – what if it doesn’t work? And neither of them did in the end.
“It’s traumatic enough on an emotional level, but then when there are solicitors involved and you’re dividing up everything, what it comes down to is who owns what. How much have you got? Give him 50 per cent. Off you trot. ”
However, the former Nolans singer – who has a reported net worth of almost £5m – has always found the idea of prenuptial agreements “unromantic” and went into both of her marriages believing that they would last forever but is “hopeful” that her new relationship will work in the long run.
She said: “It’s a horrible stage and I would like to have that stage worked out. That if this doesn’t work out – which I hope it will forever more – but if it doesn’t, then this is the situation that is in writing in a legal form. I’ve always been against prenups, because I find them really unromantic and very much like you’re going into it going: ‘well, it probably won’t work, so sign this.”
“Hopefully it will work and we’ll never have to look at that piece of paper again, but what I went through on my last divorce I don’t ever want to go through again. Even though I didn’t hate Ray, there were times when I was going: ‘Oh my God, this is so unfair.'”
The ‘I’m in the Mood for Dancing’ hitmaker – who shot to fame alongside her sisters in the 1970s – appears to have remained on good terms with her ex-husbands, and Ray is currently playing guitar for her on her ‘Naked’ solo show, which is touring the UK throughout February and March.

Zac Efron found standing in underwear for ‘Iron Claw’ role ‘very uncomfortable’

OHMYGOSSIP — Zac Efron found it “very uncomfortable” standing around in his underwear between takes on the set of ‘The Iron Claw’.
The actor, 36, plays wrestler Kevin Von Erich in the movie alongside Harris Dickinson, ‘The Bear’ star Jeremy Allen White and Stanley Simons as the rest of the wrestling Von Erich siblings, David, Kerry and Mike.
Zac told Metro about the biggest downside of the part: “One of the jarring moments that I wasn’t expecting was when the wrestling stops, or there’s a cut, or in between set-ups or takes – you’ve just got to stand there with a whole crowd around, in your underwear.
“And there’s nothing really going on.
“That’s a different kind of feeling. I’ve never experienced that one before.
“You just kind of gotta, like, where do you put your hands? On your hips? You can’t help it – there are people everywhere, you can’t look up and have somebody not looking back at you! So that was a bit unnatural.”
Before also admitting the process was “very uncomfortable”, Zac added: “You get used to that, too!”
The actor gained 15lbs of muscle while working out multiple times a day for the film, which he said was another downside to the project.
He added: “You’re sore a lot. It’s called delayed onset muscle soreness, and they get pretty debilitating.
“It’s hard to move around and you just feel old.”
The movie shows how the Von Erich brothers’ dad Fritz – who had been a world champion wrestler in his own right and created the ‘iron claw’ hold – was a brutal dad who drove his boys to their limits.
Zac said about how wrestling in the ring allowed him to push through his pain of training for the film: “I think when you’re in the ring wrestling, you kind of become invincible.
“I don’t know what I could relate it to other than skateboarding when I was a kid – but you can do incredible things and the pain is dissociated from your mind, until you get home later that night, and you’re like, ‘What did I do?’ and your ribs are broken or something.”

Bradley Cooper stays focused with cold plunges

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper meditates in freezing temperatures as soon as he wakes up.
The 49-year-old actor, whose ‘Maestro’ movie about troubled composer Leonard Bernstein is nominated for seven Oscars including best actor for Bradley who played the conductor, said he doesn’t really consider his cold baths a ritual to prepare for roles, but admitted it is helping him stay focused.
He told The New York Times: “James Nachtwey (a photographer commissioned by the Times) asked me if there are any rituals I do to prepare for a role.
“I said not really but mentioned that I do cold plunge every morning when I get up.”
Bradley made the admission as part of a piece by James for the Times that saw him photograph A-listers doing what they loved away from film sets.
The ‘A Star is Born’ actor added about the shoot that saw him captured swinging a hammer in the snow before he took a cold plunge: “We were outside next to a creek, and we looked at each other and thought: ‘OK? Let’s give it a shot.’
“It was much colder than the cold plunge I’m used to – and unfortunately, I didn’t have a towel or a change of clothes. But we had a good laugh.”
Photojournalist James, 75, who is known for his intimate depictions of the front lines in warzones such as like Iraq, Afghanistan and Ukraine, had never photographed a movie star before, but was sent to do so by the Times for its ‘Great Performers’ issue.
His other shots for the project included Da’Vine Joy Randolph, 37, shopping for fabrics and Paul Giamatti, 56, reading in his favourite second hand book store.
“My work has focused almost exclusively on conflicts and critical social issues, the polar opposite of what might be thought of as celebrity photography,” Nachtwey says. But he was intrigued by the challenge: “Art takes talent, but it’s also hard work, and exploring what actors practice in their daily lives to strengthen their art would be fascinating.”

Richard Hammond teases Top Gear return with Jeremy Clarkson and James May

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Hammond hasn’t ruled out returning to ‘Top Gear’ with Jeremy Clarkson and James May.
The 54-year-old TV star, who hosted the BBC car show from 2002 to 2015 alongside his co-presenters, is set to retire from motoring programming after the final special is released for ‘The Grand Tour’. However, Hammond has revealed that the trio reprising their presenting roles on ‘Top Gear’ isn’t out of the question.
When the Daily Mirror newspaper asked if a return to the show was possible, he said: “I don’t know. I have no doubt ‘Top Gear’ will come back one day. Somebody will pick it up and run with it. It’ll be a different show.”
Hammond, Clarkson and May are all gearing up for their penultimate special together, ‘The Grand Tour: Sand Job’, which will see the trio cross the Sahara and take on the challenging climate of Mauritania in west Africa, all while following the route of the Paris-Dakar rally.
Reflecting on the episode, the host said: “It was great to be back out somewhere a bit tough. We couldn’t fall back on our incredible crew to capture a remote or hostile place. We had to fall back more on the relationship between us three and the banter and the nonsense.
“I know how to push their buttons. They know how to push mine. We’re passionate about what we do. If we’d all really fallen out we couldn’t do the job, could we?”
Hammond was also quizzed on ending his 22-year-long motoring TV career with his co-presenters, and explained that the trio felt that it was the right time to finish.
He explained: “We decided a long time ago. The one thing we wanted to be in control of is deciding when and where and how we landed.”
‘The Grand Tour: Sand Job’ is available to stream on Prime Video now.
