Ollie Locke once dated a clown

OHMYGOSSIP — Ollie Locke once dated a clown.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ hunk – who came out as bisexual in 2011 and gay last year – hasn’t had much luck on the dating scene over the years so it comes as no surprise that he once rocked up to dinner with a man who was wearing big, red, chunky, shoes.
He said: “I’ve had wonderful relationships, wonderful dates and disastrous dates. I once went on a date with a guy who was a professional clown and he came out wearing actual clown shoes! Every date you go on is good practice and story for your friends.”
Although his love life has been far from vibrant, the 29-year-old hunk isn’t prepared to give up hope and is convinced he’ll eventually find someone nice to settle down with.
He explained to Star magazine: “(I want to find) Someone nice. If they’re lovely, it helps an awful lot. And I like tall people. If you’re tall, get in touch …
“I’m perfectly lonely, which is quite sad, really. I’ve been so busy filming for ‘Made in Chelsea’ and creating my new dating app [Chappy].”
Meanwhile, in July last year, the socialite revealed he was looking for a male companion as being in a relationship with his now-ex-girlfriend Catherine Louise Radford – who he split from in 2015 – made him realise he’s no longer bisexual.
Speaking about the previous series of the E4 reality show – which was set in Cannes – he said: “It’s the first time the viewers have seen me as gay instead of bi. I do say the words ‘I am a gay man.'”
Ollie admitted that the series was a “big” deal for him as he’s never “openly” talked about his sexuality.
He said: “For me, this is a big series because I’m talking very openly about gay life, which I have never really done before.
“I lived with a woman last year when I was off camera, we had two dogs together.
“And then we broke up and in December I thought, ‘That’s it now, I think I’m now gay.'”

Terry O'Quinn believes Patriot is like a 'ten hour film'

OHMYGOSSIP — Terry O’Quinn believes ‘Patriot’ is more like a “ten-hour film” than a television series.
The 64-year-old actor – who plays Director of Intelligence for the American government Tom Tavner in the series – believes the “generation of television”, which sees people sit down to tune into a new episode of a programme has disappeared, although he has hinted the comedy thriller is different because it is more like an extended movie.
Speaking about the production, the star said: “I think it’s wonderful that you can sit down and watch what you like whenever you want to for as long as you want to. Commercial television is going the way of the dinosaurs, isn’t it? I mean, it’s still big in The States, there are people all across America that still don’t even have cable necessarily but that generation of television is going away.
“I don’t consider what we’ve made here as ‘television’ any way – it’s a ten hour film.”
And Michael Dorman – who plays John Tavner in the production – has revealed him and his on-screen father bonded over a “jamming” session during filming, which helped their chemistry on set.
The 35-year-old star explained: “When Terry and I first met we starting jamming on an old Townes Van Zandt song and that was a great way to connect off screen – but also something that translated on screen in terms the way that these guys relate to each other. For me personally and for the character, John Tavner, the songs become his friend or the person that he trusts in a world where he is supposed to be someone else and he has no friends or no ties. The songs actually become the confidante or someone that he shares everything that he’s feeling with. That’s why it’s so different to any other musical that I’ve seen. Not that this is a musical but the songs are a character themselves.”
Although Terry has been singing and involved with music since the age of 15, he has credited his co-star as more talented in the musical department than him.
He said: “I started playing probably when I was 15. But Michael was better than me probably a week after he started. I plateaued when I was 16 and I stayed there. It’s funny, the song that Steven [Conrad] asked us to play in the pilot, he said, ‘I’d like you to play this song and have you ever heard of it?’And I said ‘I used to play that song for my mother and she loved that song.’ That was a bit of a happy coincidence.”
Patriot is available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video now.

Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell rekindle romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell have decided to give their relationship another go.
The couple were left at loggerheads last year when they split over a series of blazing rows but after learning that he’s the father of the brunette beauty’s six-week-old son Caben-Albi, they’ve decided to put the past behind them and rekindle their romance for the sake of their baby son.
A source told The Sun Online: “They have finally decided to put their past behind them for the sake of the baby and have already enjoyed a romantic reunion together when Jeremy visited Stephanie in Liverpool. The chemistry between them is undeniable and being together as a family made them realise how important it is to give their relationship another shot.”
However, it’s not known how long their reunion will last as the 27-year-old heartthrob has reportedly agreed to take part in the forthcoming series of ‘Ex on the Beach’, which will see him come face-to-face with his previous partners, over the summer.
The insider explained: “Things have been going well so far but their biggest test will be when Jeremy films ‘Ex on the Beach’. In the meantime Jeremy has flown back to Ireland to sort himself out but will be joining Stephanie again soon.”
Jeremy jetted to Liverpool to be with Stephanie and Caben earlier this month when the paternity test, that he’d waited four weeks for, revealed that he was the father of the little one.
Following their recent loved-up display in public, television executives reportedly reached out to them and offered them “£50,000” to shoot their own reality TV show together.
A source said recently: “Steph and Jeremy are the hottest property in the reality TV world at the moment and producers are keen to get them their own show.
“It would be a ratings winner and the pair could walk away with over £50,000.”
Stephanie fell in love with Jeremy on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last year, but after months of breaking up and making up over allegations he’d cheated on her, they decided to call time on their romance in April.

Amy Childs' dog keeps licking her belly

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Childs’ dog keeps licking her pregnant belly.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star is just nine weeks away from meeting her little bundle of joy, but it’s not just she and her partner Bradley Wright who can’t wait to meet the tot as her pet pooch Leo has also developed a strong bond with the unborn baby.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “My first baby – that’s my dog Leo – has been acting differently and has been coming to lay next to me quite a bit. He’s been putting his head on my bump and licking it. He isn’t usually like this.
“I think he sense the baby and that things are about to change. A friend of mine said her dog was exactly the same during her pregnancy. It’s so sweet and very clever! I just hope he loves the baby as much when it’s here.”
Although she’s had somewhat of an easy pregnancy thus far, the 26-year-old reality TV star is starting to get fed up of the urgent need to urinate and the aches and pains.
She explained: “Oh my God, I can’t stop peeing! This baby must be sitting right on my bladder as I’m going to the toilet non-stop at the minute. Mum says I drink too much water (she’s right, I drink about three litres a day) but the amount of times I wee surely isn’t normal? I was up four times the other night! I’ve got reflexology and yoga booked in for next week – I wonder if I can have a few toilet breaks, haha! …
“I’m 31 weeks right now and I’m feeling very achy all over. I’m still not sleeping much and feel knackered. I’ve also been having the odd sharp pain through my tummy. Brad got all worried and wanted to call the midwife, but I looked it up and it sounds like Braxton Hicks. I wasn’t worried as my baby is so active – I’m sure it’s having a party in there! I think it’s had hiccups too, because I keep getting this funny little jumping feeling.”

Caprice quits The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Caprice has quit ‘The Jump’.
The 45-year-old model was forced to sit out of last night’s (26.02.17) show after she was struck down with a mystery illness and, although at the time it wasn’t known if she had withdrawn from the competition indefinitely or for good, it’s now been confirmed that the blonde bombshell will no longer take to the Austrian slopes this series.
A representative for Caprice told the RadioTimes.com: “Caprice has actually withdrawn from the competition completely due to illness.”
It’s not yet known what the businesswoman is battling but she did suffer an injury earlier this month when she fractured her ribs after she flew off the ski jump, hurtled towards the giant inflatable blanket below and whacked herself in the chest with her solid skis.
She said recently: “You are training eight hours a day so I’ve been tired and had bad falls, aches and pains and bruises. I hurt my head and fractured my ribs when I was practicing the ski jump. As I hit the airbag, my skis bashed against me.”
Caprice isn’t the only celebrity who has been forced to bow out of the winter sports show as Sir Bradley Wiggins also pulled out when he broke his ankle and Vogue Williams became the first to quit when she dislocated her knee during training.
Bosses came under fire last year when Beth Tweddle broke her back competing in the series, Rebecca Adlington dislocated her shoulder and Tina Hobley injured her elbow.
In a bid to reduce the amount of injured stars this time around, it was agreed that the majority of the programme, which is filmed in Austria, would be pre-recorded.

Jennifer Metcalfe's exploding boobs

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Metcalfe’s boobs “blew up” when she fell pregnant.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress and her partner Greg Lake are set to welcome their little bundle of joy into the world in three months’ time and, although she’s only just announced the news, the brunette beauty knew almost immediately that she had conceived because her breasts ballooned almost instantly and they were causing her excruciating pain.
Asked if she had an inkling she was pregnant, she said: “I did! We’d gone to Ibiza a few weeks before we found out and my boobs were really sore to the point I’d never experienced them before. I’ve got quite little boobs and they just blew up. I was like: ‘What the hell are these?’ Once we got back from Ibiza I went for a meal with my girlfriends. They ordered wine and I wasn’t going to have one but I was like, ‘Do you know what, I have a feeling this could be the last one I have for a while.’ ”
The 34-year-old actress has just had her 20-week scan and was blown away by how well she could see her unborn tot moving its long limbs inside her stomach.
She explained: “It was fascinating. You could see its little tongue sticking out an d it was swallowing and crossing its legs. It was magical. We could see everything really well and apparently it’s because I’ve not got a lot of fat on my tummy.”
The couple can’t wait to meet their little one in 12 weeks’ time but have decided that they don’t want to find out the sex before hand as they want it to be a “surprise.”
Greg explained: “No we’re not going to find out the sex. We’re having a surprise. I did initially want to but Jen has always wanted a surprise.”
Jennifer added to OK! magazine: “I feel like I’m the one who’s got to go through labour, so if I’ve got a little surprise at the end, it might get me through however many hours it’s going to be! We can’t wait to meet the little man or lady. We have a few names but we’re going to keep them to ourselves.”

Minnie Driver says Oscars farce was 'good' TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Minnie Driver thinks the Best Picture winner mix-up at the Academy Awards on Sunday evening (26.02.17) was “good” television.
The ‘Good Will Hunting’ star had a lot of sympathy for presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway, host Jimmy Kimmel and everyone involved with ‘La La Land’ and ‘Moonlight’ when Faye announced that the wrong film, ‘La La Land’, had won the night’s biggest prize.
However, as the farce was unfolding Minnie, 47, instantaneously thought that the mistake would be great for viewers to watch on TV at home.
Speaking on the red carpet as she entered the Vanity Fair Oscars party after the ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles had ended, she said: “It was really awful, but also kind of amazing. My heart went out to everyone involved but it is good telly, it would have been really good to watch.”
Although the mishap caused a great deal of embarrassment for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Price Waterhouse Coopers – the accounting firm that tallies the Oscars votes – Minnie wasn’t the only star who thought it was a brilliant Oscars moment.
Salma Hayek agreed with Minnie that it was a “wonderful” moment for everyone watching because it was so unique.
As she entered the Vanity Fair after-party, Salma, 50, said: “People were confused, they didn’t know if it was a joke. I knew it wasn’t a joke because I was with the stage manager and I could hear him talking about what to do. I think it was a wonderful Oscars moment.”
Accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is responsible for calculating the results of the voting process and are in charge of handing the envelopes to presenters, and have apologised unreservedly for the mix-up which saw Warren get handed the envelope with the Best Actress winner’s name inside.
The company said in a statement: “We sincerely apologise to ‘Moonlight’, ‘La La Land’, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, and Oscar viewers for the error that was made during the award announcement for Best Picture.
“The presenters had mistakenly been given the wrong category envelope and when discovered, was immediately corrected. We are currently investigating how this could have happened, and deeply regret that this occurred. We appreciate the grace with which the nominees, the Academy, ABC, and Jimmy Kimmel handled the situation.”

Beverly D'Angelo is grateful for friendship with Chevy Chase

OHMYGOSSIP — Beverly D’Angelo says she and Chevy Chase have enjoyed a life-long friendship due to their roles in the ‘National Lampoon’s Vacation’ films.
The actress and the comic legend have played married couple Clark and Ellen Griswald on six occasions – including an online only short film ‘Hotel Hell Vacation’ – beginning with the original comedy in 1983 and most recently in the 2015 reboot ‘Vacation.
Beverly, 65, never imagined the series would prove to be so popular and beloved by so many people and she is very grateful to be approached by fans of the films and for her friendship with Chevy, 73.
In an interview with A.V Club, she said: “It was kind of conceived as being a successful movie, but along the lines that ‘Animal House’ was successful. But this was mainstream and everybody was like, ‘I’m just like Ellen.’ ‘Oh, my husband’s like Clark.’ And I thought it would go away. It never went away, and to this day, it hasn’t gone away, so I thank god that I did that. Because not only is my friendship with Chevy Chase tried and true, and when I say tried, I mean tried. We’ve gone through so many things together. We tried to do a TV show a couple years ago. It was a nightmare. I was so mad at him when we were shooting the pilot. And it was over, and it was like, thank god, now I can go back to loving him. That’s a long-term friendship. And this relationship that I have with the public because of the Griswolds – what a gift. Generation love it.”
Beverly is proud of all of her outings as Ellen Griswald but her favourite is still the first film in which Ellen and Clark make a disastrous road trip with their kids from Chicago to Californian amusement park Walley World.
She said: “The first one [is my favourite]. Well, I’ve done five. The original one, ‘European’, ‘Christmas’, ‘Vegas’, and then the reboot.”

Chris Chibnall to regret Broadchurch ending?

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Chibnall has had second thoughts about ending ‘Broadchurch’.
The third and final series of the popular crime drama will hit television screens on Monday (27.02.17) and, although he’s looking forward to spreading his wings and jumping across to ‘Doctor Who’ later this year, he keeps questioning why he’s walking away from the show’s main stars Olivia Colman and David Tennant.
Speaking to the Radio Times, he said: “Once I step away from the computer, I hope I’ve given everything to it – like a footballer leaving everything on the pitch. The emotion goes into the show. Any success is not in our hands, it’s in the hands of the audience – they decide what they want to talk about. It’s very emotional. It’s hard to say goodbye. I’ve asked myself, ‘Why am I walking away from the two best actors in the country?’ ”
But the 47-year-old writer had already decided that the show would only last three series when he signed on to the project but he wanted to make sure that it involved multiple storylines and be jam packed with shocking twists and lots of surprises.
He explained his planning process: “I have four giant whiteboards and a brilliant script editor. We storyline everything and then start with the characters… When you plot an hour-long episode, you have to do it very tightly in four acts around the ad breaks.”
And Chibnall will no doubt take the same approach when he starts to pen ‘Doctor Who’.
He said: “We’ll cast the role in the traditional way: write the script, then go and find the best person for that part in that script. You couldn’t go out and cast an abstract idea.”
The talented writer will take over from current show runner Steven Moffat at the beginning of 2018 once Peter Capaldi – who has played the Doctor since 2013 – makes his final appearance as the time-travelling scientist in the Christmas special.
He explained: “The creative possibilities are endless, but I have a very clear sense of what we’re going to do, without even knowing who’s going to play the part.”

Broadchurch cast kept in dark about series 3

OHMYGOSSIP — The cast of ‘Broadchurch’ have been kept completely in the dark about the final series.
The last installment of the crime drama will return to screens tonight (27.02.17) but it’s not just the viewers who are looking forward to seeing what the storyline has in store for the show’s favourite characters as the actors also have no idea about the new plot.
Sir Lenny Henry – who plays farm shop owner Ed Burnett in the show – said on ‘Lorraine’ today: “At the moment I’m just in it and no one knows what the hell is happening. With the script, you’re given your bit and just enough information to go on and then you do it. It could all switch! I could be the bad guy!”
Although the script has been kept under lock and key, a chilling teaser was released ahead of tonight’s show that showed farm-shop worker Trish – portrayed by Julie Hesmondhalgh – turn up at the police station to report that she’s been raped.
The terrified woman is immediately cared for by DI Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and DS Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) who promise they’ll track down her attacker.
Julie said: “All the early scenes I shot were with David and Olivia, and I had to work very hard at not feeling like a competition winner. I’m a woman in my late 40s and I have got to stop acting like: ‘Thank you very much for having me! The first day I was a bit overwhelmed and when we shot the cast photo, I felt like I was in Madame Tussauds.”
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress – who was known for playing Hayley Cropper in the ITV soap – managed to bag the role without having to audition.
She explained: “That was really flattering but also scary. When you nail an audition, you know you’re who they want. But when you haven’t auditioned, you imagine turning up on your first day and them saying: ‘Sorry, it’s not worked out. I was such a big fan of the first two series, so it was an amazing phone call to get. I would love to say it was the character that made me sign up, but when you get the call asking you to be in ‘Broadchurch’, you don’t really say: ‘Well, what’s the part?’ ”

David Harewood wants to play Doctor Who

OHMYGOSSIP — David Harewood would love to be cast as the titular character in ‘Doctor Who’.
The 51-year-old actor is pleased that he’s in the “running” to take over from Peter Capaldi – who has played the time-travelling scientist since 2013 – as the iconic Time Lord when he leaves the sci-fi series later this year as he thinks the show needs to have a “black person or woman” playing the lead role this time.
Speaking to ‘BBC News’, he said: “It’s nice to be in the running. It needs to do something different, so I think it’s either going to be a black person or a woman. It would just bring a different flavour to it. I’m already playing an alien [in ‘Supergirl’ so maybe I could switch and play a Time Lord – who knows what’s going to happen. It’s nice to be in the running. It’s an iconic role.”
Although he’s thrown his hat into the ring, the person who gets the job will be chosen by the new boss Chris Chibnall – who will take over from Steven Moffat next year – and he wants the script written before he works on castings.
Chibnall said recently: “We’ll cast the role in the traditional way: write the script, then go and find the best person for that part in that script. You couldn’t go out and cast an abstract idea.”
Some viewers have called for a woman to be cast as the titular character and, although he’s not giving it much thought at the moment, Chibnall – the creator of the crime drama ‘Broadchurch’ – has “a very clear sense” of what he wants.
He said: “The creative possibilities are endless, but I have a very clear sense of what we’re going to do, without even knowing who’s going to play the part.”
The 46-year-old television writer will take over from current show runner Moffatt at the beginning of 2018 once Capaldi makes his final appearance as the time-travelling scientist in the Christmas special later this year.

Naomie Harris was 'shaking' on Oscars stage

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomie Harris was “shaking” when she went on stage to collect the Best Picture Oscar with her ‘Moonlight’ castmates following ‘La La Land’ mistakenly being announced as the winner.
The 40-year-old British actress was as stunned as everyone else who worked on the drama movie when ‘La La Land’ producer Jordan Horowitz declared from the stage at the ceremony on Sunday night (26.02.17) that Barry Jenkins’ film was the real winner and a mistake had been made due to presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway being handed the wrong envelope which contained the information that Emma Stone was the winner of the Best Actress prize for her role in the musical movie.
Naomie has admitted she was actually left shaking in shock and she was sure when she was on the stage at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles that Moonlight’s win was an error.
She said: “It was more than a little awkward to be honest, I was stunned and shocked and shaking. It was a very strange moment.”
Although Naomie is very proud to be have been part of the 2017 Best Picture Academy Award winning film, the chaotic manner in which ‘Moonlight’ received the golden statuette did detract from what should have been a very special moment for everyone involved in the project.
Speaking on the red carpet as she entered the Vanity Fair Oscars party, she said: “It was awkward and it was a shame, because in a moment when it was supposed to be celebratory but we were all just, like, stunned. I was on stage with this gormless expression and then I thought someone was going to say they had got it wrong again.”
Naomie had been nominated for the Best Supporting Actress prize for her performance as drug-addicted mother Paul in ‘Moonlight’ but she lost out to Viola Davis who took home the precious prize for her role as Rose Lee Maxson in ‘Fences’.
Following the Best Picture farce, Price Waterhouse Coopers – the accounting firm that tallies the Oscars votes – took responsibility for the envelope mix-up and issued an apology.
The statement read: “We sincerely apologise to ‘Moonlight’, ‘La La Land’, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, and the Oscar viewers for the error that was made during the award announcement for best picture. The presenters had mistakenly been given the wrong category envelope and when discovered, was immediately corrected. We are currently investigating how this could have happened, and deeply regret that this occurred. We appreciate the grace with which the nominees, the Academy, and Jimmy Kimmel handled the situation.”

Brie Larson: Captain Marvel is a 'bridge' between worlds

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson says ‘Captain Marvel’ is the “bridge” between Earth and space.
The Oscar-winning actress is set to star as Carol Danvers and her titular alter-ego in the 2019 standalone movie, and has said the character acts as the missing link between Earth and what’s happening in the wider Marvel Comics universe.
Asked by Yahoo! Movies how the superhero fits in to the stories already established by the likes of ‘Iron Man’, ‘Captain America’, and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, Brie said: “Well, quite simply, she’s kind of like the bridge between these two worlds. She’s the bridge between what’s happening up in space and what’s happening down on Earth.”
Meanwhile, Marvel studio head Kevin Feige previously admitted Brie, 27, had to overcome some tough obstacles before she was offered the role.
He said: “Listen, we set the bar very high with the first casting decision we ever made with Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Since then, every single choice we’ve made, we have asked, ‘Could it meet that bar?’ Because that is what people expect of us, and that is what … it’s a very high bar.”
“Carol Danvers needs to be as rich and textured and real as the best of our characters. Maybe even more so. And we got very lucky that Brie – who has all of those attributes, and an Academy Award now – was still very interested in signing up and joining us to bring this character to life.”
The news of Brie’s casting was first announced at San Diego Comic Con in July last year when the blonde beauty tweeted a picture of herself wearing a Marvel Studios hat and wrote: “Call me Captain Marvel.”
She later added: “Thanks for the love! I’m so excited to be part of the team.”

Caprice's twins learnt to ski on The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Caprice’s twin boys learnt to ski while she was training for ‘The Jump’.
The 45-year-old model spent the best part of last month in Austria competing in the winter sports show, but she wasn’t the only one to come away with a new skill as her three-year-old sons Jax and Jett, whom she has with her long-term partner Ty Comfort, were also taught how to whiz down the slopes on skis.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, the blonde beauty said: “I have lost a stone doing ‘The Jump’. There is nothing better than skiing for toning up your legs and arms. Jett and Jax came to Austria with me and learnt to ski. You have never seen anything cuter — but then I guess I would think that.”
Although all the contestants have been through weeks of intense training, this series, which is partly pre-recorded, has already been riddled with injuries.
And the talented businesswoman hasn’t escaped unscathed either as she fractured her ribs after she flew off the ski jump, hurtled towards the giant inflatable blanket below and whacked herself in the chest with her solid skis.
She said recently: “You are training eight hours a day so I’ve been tired and had bad falls, aches and pains and bruises.
“I hurt my head and fractured my ribs when I was practicing the ski jump. As I hit the airbag, my skis bashed against me.”
But the By Caprice Lingerie founder has had to battle on through the competition, regardless of the pain, because the contest has already seen Sir Bradley Wiggins and Vogue Williams pull out due to life-changing injuries.
She explained: “There’s nothing much you can do about that – you just have to bandage it up. Everyone else is so courageous and I don’t want to look like a wuss so I just have to get on with it.”

Chris Evans snubbed Matt LeBlanc after Top Gear exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Evans hasn’t spoken to Matt LeBlanc since he quit ‘Top Gear’ last year.
The 50-year-old radio DJ turned his back on the motoring show, which he co-presented with the actor for one series, less than 12 months into his three-year contract after his hosting style was heavily criticised by fans but, although it was his choice to leave, he hasn’t reached out to the former ‘Friends’ star since his departure.
Matt told The Sun newspaper: “I did not know what was coming until I read that [he had quit the show] in the paper. I haven’t heard from him since — which is his choice.”
It was rumoured the pair had locked horns while shooting the series last year, but the 49-year-old hunk is adamant that wasn’t the case and they merely kept a professional relationship because they both had busy schedules away from the screen.
Matt explained: “I saw the stories that we weren’t getting along and there was a row between us, but we were fine. I liked Chris Evans. I think my schedule is tough, but he was doing a radio show every morning, and that was a lot to deal with.”
And the silver fox thinks Chris’ tiresome schedule contributed to his early exit.
He added: “Maybe that [his schedule] was what it was — I honestly don’t know.”
Bosses signed Matt up to the show alongside Chris – who took over from sacked host Jeremy Clarkson – last year as they thought his fame would boost viewing figures.
However, the series’ success didn’t replicate the expectations and every episode was slated online by viewers, who found Chris’ presenting style “awkward”.
Despite the negative reviews, bosses decided to make Matt the show’s main host for the forthcoming series, with a helping hand from Chris Harris and Rory Reid.
Patrick Holland, editor at BBC Two, said recently: “I am thrilled that Matt LeBlanc is returning to ‘Top Gear’. He’s a huge talent whose love of cars is infectious.”
‘Top Gear’ will return to screens on March 5 on BBC Two.

Jeremy McConnell 'confirmed' for Ex on the Beach?

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell has reportedly been “confirmed” for ‘Ex on the Beach’.
The 27-year-old hunk – who has just found out he’s a father – has been snapped up for the new series of the reality TV show, which sees stars reunited with their previous lovers, as bosses are convinced he’ll provide endless entertainment.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “MTV bosses have wanted Jez on the show for years but finally they’ve signed him up. He’s the ultimate lad, and producers know it’s a dead cert that he’ll charm the ladies, have a good craic with the boys and be a hit with viewers. Everyone knows he’s a bit of a ladies’ man but it’ll be astounding to see just how many exes come out of the sea for him.”
However, the Irish heartthrob may run into a little trouble as not only will his former flames come crawling out of the woodwork, he may also come face to face with his arch enemy Sam Reece as he’s also signed up for the show.
The pair became rivals after Jeremy snatched Sam’s now-ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis from him last year after they fell in love in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
And viewers may be in for a treat as it’s believed bosses are hoping to sign Stephanie up too, so that she emerges from the famous waters for Sam.
The insider explained: “The one ex everyone will want to see is Steph – but she could be coming out for Sam Reece who’s in talks for the show. Even if she doesn’t emerge from the waves, just the possibility of Jeremy and Sam living under the same roof in the show’s luxury villa is going to be enough reason to tune in. This is going to be the best series yet.”
Meanwhile, Jeremy and Stephanie – who broke up last spring following a series of blazing rows – have just patched up their differences and seem to be heading towards a rekindle of love after the heavily-inked heartthrob recently found out that he is the father of Stephanie’s six-week-old son Caben-Albi.
