Jaime King to star in adaptation of How to Cook Your Daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Jaime King is set to star in a film adaptation of ‘How to Cook Your Daughter’.
Variety reports that the ‘Hart of Dixie’ star is to take on the lead role in the movie which is based on Jessica Hendra’s memoir of the same name.
Jessica’s book tells her story growing up as the daughter of National Lampoon editor Tony Hendra who she alleges sexually abused her from the age of six and also subjected her to emotional abuse.
Her book was written in response to Tony’s own tome ‘Father Joe: The Man Who Saved My Soul’ which was about his life-long friendship with a Benedictine monk who he credits with saving him from drug abuse, illicit sexual escapades and a dysfunctional family life. Following the publication of Jessica’s text, Tony vehemently denied her accusations and he has never faced formal charges over her claims.
Jennifer Clary – whose previous credits include ‘The Silent Thief’ and ‘The Potters’ – is attached to direct the project and production is due to begin in November.
Jaime, 37, was last seen on the big screen in ‘Barely Lethal’ and ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’.

Charlie Hunnam praises honest director Guy Ritchie

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Hunnam has praised Guy Ritchie for his honesty on the set of ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’.
The 36-year-old actor plays the titular role in the director’s upcoming fantasy film and he enjoyed the fact that Ritchie encouraged a dialogue between himself and the cast on set, which he describes as a “freeing process”.
In an interview with Collider, Hunnam said: “Guy has a sort of inability to fully visualise or understand or even allow himself to get excited about a scene before we’re actually on the day, on the set, in costume doing it. So it’s all just sort of framework. So even in that four-hour get-down that we did, he would come in and be like, ‘That’s crap. That dynamic’s not working. Let’s say this. You say that.’ It’s a very freeing process. It sort of threw me a little bit for the first couple of weeks, because it’s very dramatic.”
Hunnam also revealed that the ‘Sherlock Holmes’ director moved away from the typical table reads when production began in favour of staging a play of the film.
He said: “We did something strange and wonderful. I didn’t think it was gonna work at all, but it did. Guy had this wacky idea that he wanted to take an afternoon before we started working and shoot the whole film in four hours on two or three cameras and in a room all in black. We shot the whole film, and that’s where we met. That’s where most of the cast met. It was a baptism of fire. It was such a high-energy, sort of anxiety-inducing experience.”
And the new early stage filmmaking technique helped speed up production further down the line.
Hunnam recalled: “I think there were several elements as to why it was useful to him. First and foremost it was sort of like a table read, but where he could actually see everything edited. Sort of like an elevated table read. Just to see the pace and the tone and a little bit of the dynamics between the characters. So that was the pre-production benefit of it.”
He continued: “As we’ve gone on and they’ve been assembling different sequences that we’ve been shooting, we’ve been able to fill in the gaps with that stuff. So from about halfway into the filming they’ve had the whole film sort of edited with those sections that we hadn’t shot yet filled in with that four-hour thing. Which has been really interesting and helpful to Guy.”
Hunnam has also confirmed expectations that Ritchie’s take on a ‘King Arthur’ film is “grimmer and grittier”.
He said: “As you would imagine, it’s the origin story. It’s the sort of Arthur origin story, of his rise to the throne. So it’s a reinvention certainly of the periods between him being estranged from his family and reuniting with his destiny, with sort of the royal lineage. It’s a very different sort of rendering. Much grimmer and grittier, and in a certain way probably much more modern. The camaraderie feels sort of modern and easily recognisable as boys’ banter, the sort of stuff Guy does very well. But I feel like the world and the pace of the whole thing feels very period. I don’t think it feels like an uber modern rendering of it.”
‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ is due to be released in May and also stars Jude Law, Djimon Hounsou, Aidan Gillen, Eric Bana and Annabelle Wallis among others.

Nigel Havers asks Holly Willoughby out on date

OHMYGOSSIP — Nigel Havers jokingly asked Holly Willoughby to join him for a lunch date on Tuesday (28.02.17).
The ‘Benidorm’ star appeared on ‘This Morning’, which is fronted by the blonde beauty and her co-host Phillip Schofield, today to promote his forthcoming cameo appearance in the new series of the ITV comedy but couldn’t resist the opportunity to flirt with the presenter and ask her out.
He asked after he swapped places on the sofa with her and pretended he was Phillip’s new co-host: “What are you doing for the rest of the day? How about a spot of lunch?”
The silver fox was mortified by Nigel’s presenting skills and told him off for “chatting up” their guest – who Holly was pretending to be – because that’s “unacceptable behaviour.”
He screeched: “You can’t chat up the guests! That’s unacceptable.”
But Holly – who has three children; Harry, seven, Belle, five, and Chester, two, with her husband Dan Baldwin – thought the remark was hilarious and praised him on his “slick” actions.
She said with an embarrassed giggle: “That’s very slick, well done.”
Meanwhile, the 64-year-old actor is looking forward to seeing himself play a crook who attempts to con cash from staff at the famous Solana hotel in Costa Blanca, in the new series of ‘Benidorm’ after bosses signed him up because they thought he would be the perfect eye candy.
A source said previously: “Signing Nigel up is a real coup as he loves comedy and has a class acting background. He also appeals to women of a certain age as he was a real heartthrob.”
And Nigel is certainly no stranger to ruffling feathers as he also appeared in ‘Coronation Street’ on and off for two years as suave scammer Lewis Archer, who forged a plan to steal money from Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) betting shop by cashing fraudulently franked betting slips.
‘Benidorm’ will return to screens tomorrow (01.03.17) night at 9pm on ITV.

Marnie Simpson won't speak to Lewis Bloor again

OHMYGOSSIP — Marnie Simpson will “never speak” to her cheating ex-boyfriend Lewis Bloor again.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star was left heartbroken last week when she found out that her lover had slept with another woman behind her back on Valentine’s Day (14.02.17) and, although she initially took to her social media sites to slam him for his deceitful behaviour, she’s adamant she wants nothing more to do with him anymore.
Writing in her column for Star magazine, she said: “I’m totally heartbroken after discovering that Lewis cheated on me several times. I’m in shock and feel numb. It’d the worst betrayal and I can’t even describe how I feel.
“I only found out when I was sent the article and it made me feel physically sick. When I tried to speak to Lewis he was just silent on the phone. He doesn’t know how to be truthful and we will continue to lie until the day he dies. I’ll never speak to him again.
“For me the relationship was real but for him it was a lie. He was dating me for all the wrong reasons. I had no idea he was only with me for money. We spent every day together for seven months and I can’t believe it was all an act for personal gain. I did absolutely everything for him because I loved him and I thought he loved me.
“I wanted a future with him – kids and even marriage. We’d planned to buy a house together… I’m broke into a million pieces. I feel like I’ve loved someone who doesn’t exist. The Lewis I loved wouldn’t have done this to me.”
Although the 25-year-old beauty is still trying to come to terms with her broken heart, the infidelity she’s experienced hasn’t put her off finding love again and she’s even considering signing up to the next series of ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
She explained: “I haven’t managed to watch ‘Celebs Go Dating’ as I’ve been busy filming ‘Geordie Shore’, but I would love to appear on it now I’m single. I do think I’m unlucky in love and there is no hope for me, so I definitely need help.”

Sir Tom Jones sent The Voice UK DVDs to late wife Melinda Trenchard

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Tom Jones sent DVDs of ‘The Voice UK’ to his now-late wife Melinda Trenchard in Los Angeles.
The 76-year-old music legend has revealed his partner – who sadly died in April last year – was a huge fan of the popular contest and he had to record the series and send them to her in America, where the pair lived together, so she could watch the programme because it wasn’t aired over there.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Tuesday (28.02.17), the ‘Sex Bomb’ hitmaker said: “I had to take the DVDs back and play them for her, and we lived there and she wasn’t seeing it on the television but she loved it, and my sister, they used to watch the shows.”
Tom has returned to the programme this year alongside will.i.am, Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson on the critiquing panel after his contract failed to be renewed in 2015, which saw him replaced by Boy George on last year’s season.
Although Melinda wasn’t alive to hear the news of Tom’s return, the Welsh star believes his partner would have been “really happy” because she was gutted when she found out her was dropped.
He explained: “Oh yeah, she would have been really happy because she enjoyed it.
“As you know, the contract was like once a year and then we go the phone call ‘We are not renewing your contract’ a couple of days before and I was like ‘Why didn’t you give me more notice, what was that about?’ My wife, god bless her, she said; ‘You don’t want to do ‘The Voice’ then do you?’ and I said ‘Well, it’s not my choice.’ ‘Really?’ [she said] So she couldn’t understand and then she passed away before I came back.”
However, Tom has no bad blood and is still “glad” to be a part of the singing competition.
He said: “I still do. I’m glad to be a part of ‘The Voice’ because I can help other sings with the experience that I’ve had, which is different than what I’ve ever done.”
The vocalist – who won the first season of the show – believes the key to picking a champion is to suss out those who are “truthful” and not seeking fame.
He explained: “It needs to be truthful. I need to feel what the singer is putting out, that it’s real, that it’s not fake and it’s not something they’ve learnt to do because they want to be famous. It’s got to be a natural musical talent that I hear. But that can be all kinds of things. The team I have now I have duos in my team, so I like variety as well, I like to get a team together that is not all one type of singer.”

Kym Marsh 'really went for it' in Corrie punch

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh “really went for it” when she had to punch Jane Danson on ‘Coronation Street’.
The brunette beauty loved shooting scenes when her character Michelle discovered her husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) was the father of Leanne Battersby’s (Jane) baby and was particularly “chuffed” that their argument got physical – but she hopes the audience are on her alter ego’s side.
She said: “We saw Michelle in full feisty mode on screen this week. It was the moment everyone has been waiting for and I got to do not one fight scene but two when Michelle punched Leanne and then dragged Eva (Price, played by Catherine Tyldesley) out of the Rovers by her hair.
“‘Corrie’ has a long tradition of great catfights and I was chuffed to be able to show that Michelle won’t be pushed around.
“I really enjoyed doing the fight scenes – we have a great fight arranger called Katie Waters.
“Jane and I really went for it and got the punch in one take.
“I’m hoping the public are #teamMichelle after everything she’s been through.”
Kym thinks Jane and Georgia Taylor, who plays her on-screen sister Toyah, were unfairly criticised during Leanne’s birth scenes and she believes people should be more understanding of the constraints of a soap.
She wrote in her column for OK! magazine: “There were reports that Leanne’s birth scenes were unrealistic because the labour was quick and mess-free, and the baby’s head looked too big. I’m told the baby did only weigh 9lbs so was newborn size. When we film scenes, a lot can get lost in the editing process, as each episode is only 25 minutes. I really enjoyed watching it and I think Jane and Georgia were just wonderful. It was a very difficult scene to shoot in a small space – I think people need to give them a break.”

Dame Diana Rigg to star in Victoria

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Diana Rigg is set to star in ‘Victoria’.
The 78-year-old actress will take on the role of the Duchess of Buccleauch in the second series of the ITV royal drama alongside Jenna Coleman – who will reprise her role as the titular monarch – and Tom Hughes, who will return as Prince Albert.
Diana – who is best known for her role as Emma Peel in the 1960s’ spy series ‘The Avengers’, and as Olenna Tyrell in the HBO fantasy drama ‘Game of Thrones’ – will play the young queen’s new Mistress of the Robes, who is “renowned for speaking her mind”.
The upcoming series of the drama takes place roughly six weeks after the last series – which ended in October 2016 – and is set to establish Queen Victoria as a new mother, as she is “learning to balance her responsibilities as both parent and queen”.
Daisy Goodwin, the show’s creator, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Victoria is the only Queen Regnant to marry and give birth while on the throne and the challenges of being head of state as well as a wife and mother are legion.
“In many ways, Victoria’s dilemma is a modern one – how do you have a successful marriage and a happy family when you are holding down an important job. Can you really have it all?”
Meanwhile, executive producer Damien Timmer said of the new series: “At the centre of it is a beautifully nuanced study of a young marriage, and it’s a joy to watch Jenna and Tom find new layers to this iconic couple.”
ITV bosses were given the go ahead to do another series last year – just weeks after its debut on screen last September – and a festive special this year is also in the pipeline.
And it seems there may be more series on the way as Daisy still has ideas up her sleeve that she’d like to put into a script over the next few years.
Jenna, 30, explained previously: “We’re doing season two and then it’s a question of where we go from there. There’s no shortage of story. You don’t want to go through it too quickly. There are nine children to have, so there is a long way to go.”

Emmerdale's Ashley Thomas' 'funny' death

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’s Ashley Thomas’ devastating death will be “warm and funny”.
The confused vicar – who is played by John Middleton – will tragically lose his life over the festive season later this year following a bleak battle with dementia but, although fans have been warned to get their tissues ready, the show’s producer Iain MacLeod is adamant the heartbreaking scenes will be a “celebration” of the loveable character.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Iain said: “I’ve just signed off on the final version of the episode, in which Ashley dies and it’s unbelievably beautiful. It’s oddly joyous, actually – a celebration of the character.
“We didn’t want to do a story where Ashley just absconded from a care home and was discovered dead from hypothermia or something, as that would be too bleak. In a story that is already desperately sad, we wanted to make this the best possible death. It’s warm and funny, almost festive and boisterous. I couldn’t be more proud of the script.”
And it doesn’t look like Ashley – nor John’s incredible work – will be forgotten any time soon as Iain has teased that his funeral scenes will remain with fans for a long time.
He explained to the publication: “Shortly after his death, it’s obviously Ashley’s funeral and what we have planned for that is something every bit quirky as the special Ashley episode from last year. It’s as experimental as that was, but in a different way – and will probably be talked about for some time to come.”
Meanwhile, John – who has portrayed the long-suffering vicar since 1996 – is devastated that he’s bowing out of the soap because he loves the place and people.
He said recently: “I’m very sad to be leaving ‘Emmerdale’. I love the place, I love everyone who works there and I’ve got some great friends there. Some of them will be great friends of mine for the rest of my life … I’m very sad to leave.”

J.K. Rowling Fantatsic tease for magical sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — J.K Rowling has teased the script for a ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ sequel.
The ‘Harry Potter’ author took to Twitter to share a photo of a document which contained the typed words “written by J.K. Rowling” along snippets of the text “confidential” and “Warner Bros. Pictures” – the studio which is responsible for bringing the magical movie to the big screen and the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise.
Rowling further whipped fans into a frenzy of excitement by captioning the image: “Having a Beastly day.”
One fan wrote, “Oh my lawdy (sic”, while others asked what the sequel will be called – with one suggesting it could be ‘Beastly Day’ and another couldn’t contain their excitement by posting, “OMG THE SCRIPT FOR THE NEXT FANTASTIC BEASTS MOVIE (sic)”.
The first film was written by Rowling – based on her book of the same name – and directed by David Yates, who was also at the helm of the final four films in the Potter franchise.
It starred Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne as the “Magizoologist” Newt Scamander, Inherent Vice’s Katherine Waterson as a witch named Tina and Colin Farrell as wizard Graves.
At the Academy Awards held on Sunday (26.02.17) the film scooped the Oscar for Best Costume Design, which went to Colleen Atwood – and marks the first Academy Award for the ‘Potter’ franchise.
Not much is known about the second instalment other than that Johnny Depp will make an appearance as dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald will make an appearance when the movie opens in cinemas in November 2018.
Shooting on the project is due to begin in August and will take place in London and Paris.
It is the first of four planned sequels by Warner Bros. and 51-year-old Rowling.

Vera Farmiga joins Godzilla: King of the Monsters

OHMYGOSSIP — Vera Farmiga is set to join the cast of ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’.
The 43-year-old actress will play the wife of the as yet unnamed protagonist – played by ‘Friday Night Lights’ actor Kyle Chandler – in the sequel to the 2014 reboot of the popular franchise.
Although plot details for the production are remaining under wraps, it was previously announced 13-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown – most known for her role as Jane ‘Eleven’ Ives in the Netflix sci-fi hit ‘Stranger Things’ – would be starring in the production as the daughter of Vera and Kyle’s characters.
The feature is being directed by Michael Dougherty – who came on board after Gareth Edwards, who directed the 2014 reboot, dropped out of the project – using a script he wrote in conjunction with Zach Shields.
As of the time of writing, the only details known about the plot of the movie are that Kyle – who is no stranger to legendary creatures, having previously starred in monster based sci-fi movies ‘Super 8’ and ‘King Kong’ – will play a scientist who acts as the hero.
The sequel will be the 31st movie to feature the popular creature, who was first created in Japan for the 1954 eponymously titled production.
Meanwhile, Millie recently admitted she is “really excited” for the project, as it will mark her first appearance in a feature film.
She said: “It’s my first movie. I’m really excited and that’s really all I can say, but it’s going to be great! I just had a really incredible connection with the director [Michael Dougherty]. I had a great meeting with him and you know, I just really love him.”
‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ is slated for a March 22, 2019 release date.
A ‘Godzilla vs King Kong’ movie is also being made and is scheduled for release on May 29, 2020.

Kim Woodburn to pen erotic novel

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Woodburn is planning on penning an erotic novel to rival ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star hasn’t released a tome since 2006’s ‘Unbeaten’, which documents her brutal childhood, but after a stint in the Channel 5 show’s famous abode she has been inspired to put pen to paper and write a “mucky book”, which she joked she’d name ‘There’s Nothing Dirty In A Clean Bit of Filth’.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she shared: “I’m 50 shades of Filth! I’m thinking of writing a mucky book and I would call it ‘There’s Nothing Dirty In A Clean Bit of Filth!'”
Explaining her love for murder mystery, royal autobiographies and her dismay that Prince Charles married the late Princess Diana, she added: “Since I was a small girl I read real murder books. I swear to god it’s my bit of naughty.
“Also, royalty I have every book. Diana, you know she made a big impression in life, didn’t she? I have mixed emotion. I think Prince Charles should never have married her. He was always in love with Camilla Parker-Bowles.”
Whilst in the ‘CBB’ house, Kim quipped that she wanted to work on a sex line after the show.
The ‘How Clean is Your House?’ star – who has found herself embroiled in a series of blazing rows with other celebrity contestants on the show – admitted she’d be open to the idea of getting frisky on the phone if her work starts to dry up.
After knocking back a number of alcoholic beverages, Nicola McLean – who used to be a glamour model – told her part-time enemy: “You’d do really well on the sex line.”
Kim, 74, replied: “If television work doesn’t come in after this I’ll be on the b****y sex line!”
And Bianca Gascoigne – who is a glamour model and works as a manager at a strip club in London – said she thinks Kim would be “brilliant” because “some men like that dominatrix type of sound.”

Holly Willoughby reveals ambition to play a saucy teacher in Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby wants to play a saucy teacher in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 36-year-old beauty – who is best known as the co-host of ‘This Morning’ alongside Phillip Schofield – has revealed she would relish the opportunity to star in a British soap and confessed to having one very specific role in mind.
Holly said: “I’d love to do soaps.
“I did speak to ‘This Morning’s soap expert the other day because she writes for ‘Emmerdale’ and I said ‘what would you cast me in’ and she said she would cast me in ‘Hollyoaks’ as the teacher who has an affair with one of her pupils.”
And Holly confirmed she would jump at the opportunity to star in ‘Hollyoaks’.
She told The Sun newspaper: “That would be a dramatic role – it would be great, I should do it.”
However, Holly also revealed she would like to try her hand at documentary-making, although she conceded it won’t happen in the near future because such programmes are so time-consuming.
The mother-of-three shared: “Documentary-wise I would like to something like that one day but I think it’s something you need to invest a lot of time in.
“At the moment time is not something I have tons of so eventually I think that would be a nice place to go.
“Hopefully ‘This Morning’ doesn’t end any time soon but eventually once all that time is finished I can focus on things like that and do passion projects and focus on things you really like and travel a bit when the kids are older.”
This comes shortly after Holly admitted one of the reasons she presents ‘Play to the Whistle’ is to impress her seven-year-old son Harry.
Holly – who also shares Belle, five, and Chester, two, with her husband Dan Baldwin – said her son’s passion for soccer convinced her to accept the job on the sports quiz show.
She recently said: “Harry is football mad. He’s as bad as his father. If he’s not playing, he’s watching it. I’m either dropping him at football, picking him up from practice, washing his kit, cleaning his boots… It’s a massive part of my life and Chester is showing all the signs of going in that direction too.
“So I’ve had to embrace it or I can’t be part of that conversation. Selfishly, this is my way of scoring brownie points with my son.”

Lydia Bright's 'life flashed before he eyes' on The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Lydia Bright saw her “life flash before her eyes” when she took part in the skeleton on ‘The Jump’.
The 27-year-old star has proved one of the front runners in the winter sports show but she has admitted the sliding challenge, which sees a person ride a small sled down a frozen track while lying face down, was terrifying – despite her skiing experience – and she “cried her eyes out” the first time she did it.
Asked if her ex-boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent had given her some advice prior to the show considering he took part in the competition last year, she explained: “He told me just to have fun with it and go for it. He loved the whole experience but told me the skeleton is the scariest thing he’s ever done in his life. The first time I did it, I cried my eyes out – you see your life flash before your eyes.”
Although she seems to be doing really well on the Austrian slopes, ‘The Only Way is Essex’ beauty needed some gentle persuasion from her parents when she was first approached for the series.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, she said: “Being out here is the fourth time I’ve skied, so I had a little bit of experience. But we’re being trained by the best of the best so, although I thought I was really good, when my skiing was dissected I realised I probably wasn’t doing it very well… Obviously it was something I had to factor in when I was deciding whether to do it. But there are injuries within all winter sports – every time I go skiing I put myself at risk. My parents were the ones who were like: ‘Go for it!’ ”
Lydia has made no secret of the fact she’d like to meet someone and settle down in the future but she’s adamant she won’t find love on the Austrian slopes because she’s too focused on the competition.
She said: “I am single but I’m not going to mingle out here – I don’t really feel I’m keen to find an Austrian man and there’s no one on the show. But when I get back, we’ll see. I haven’t got a specific type, just someone who makes me laugh and happy.”

Taboo to get another series?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Taboo’ is set to get another two series.
The first installment of the drama came to an end over the weekend, but it doesn’t look like fans will be kept waiting long for a follow up as the show’s writer Steven Knight has enough content planned in his head for another two batches of gripping episodes.
Speaking to the Radio Times, he said: “We think it has got a two and a three certainly, that’s the plan. After that who knows? This series is eight parts – it’s a lot of time.”
Although a second series looks likely, the BBC are yet to confirm a recommission and it appears fans will only be interested in tuning in if Tom Hardy returns as adventurer James Delaney, who returns to London to claim his legacy while fighting off enemies.
The future of ‘Taboo’ may look bright, but Knight’s other period drama ‘Peaky Blinders’, which is currently in its fourth series and stars Cillian Murphy and Tom, could be heading towards a finale next year as he’s already come up with the gritty ending.
Knight – who is hoping to pen a movie in the near future – explained: “Never say never, but we feel that [series] five may be the last. We don’t know for sure. We will see how we feel about it. ‘Peaky…’ is one of those things everybody loves, and the response has been so magnificent on both sides of the Atlantic.
“I have got the end in my mind; whether that happens at the end of five is the question. I want it to end when the first air raid siren sounds in Birmingham. It is a story of a family between two world wars. It begins in 1919 when they have just come back from the war and the family’s journey is towards legitimacy and respectability and to leave their past behind. The big question of the whole series is this: is that possible?”

Patrick Stewart felt emotional playing Professor Xavier in Logan

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Patrick Stewart felt emotional playing Professor Xavier for the final time in ‘Logan’.
The award-winning actor has played the role of the iconic Professor since 2000 and he admitted to feeling nostalgic during the making of the James Mangold-directed movie, which has been well received by critics.
Asked if he felt emotional while making the film, Sir Patrick shared: “There were moments during production, yeah. There’s a moment in the first scene when I very tenderly take Hugh Jackman’s face in my hand and then say, ‘What a disappointment you are.’ Ha!
“I was very lucky on this film – my first scene was my opening scene in the movie, my last night’s work was my last scene.”
Despite his sadness, Sir Patrick stressed that ‘Logan’ is funny at times, too.
The 76-year-old actor told Den of Geek: “People are surprised at how much humour there is in ‘Logan’. Even in the middle of fairly uncomfortable scenes, like the early one Hugh and I have in the tank – but it’s funny at times, too.”
Meanwhile, Sir Patrick’s on-screen co-star Hugh – who played Wolverine for the final time in the movie – recently said ‘Logan’ has more depth to it than the earlier films.
He explained: “I love Wolverine. I will not miss it, for it will always be inside me.
“It was very emotional to make this movie. I always felt that there was a deeper story about this character.
“I’m very proud of the movies of the past, but I felt I had something more. Like a man. He did not want to be just the tough Wolverine, but the difficult Logan.
“I cried a few times on the set. I hope fans will say: finally, this is the Wolverine movie I wanted to see.”

Kirsten Dunst heaps praise for Hidden Figures co-star Octavia Spencer

OHMYGOSSIP — Kirsten Dunst “loved” working with Octavia Spencer on ‘Hidden Figures’.
The 34-year-old actress – who plays bolshy supervisor Vivian Michael in the drama based on real events – was full of praise for her co-star and has revealed they live a few blocks away from one and other.
Despite not winning an Oscar at Sunday night’s (26.02.17) ceremony, where the film was nominated for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for Octavia and Best Writing Adapted Screenplay, Dunst said she is “so proud” of the cast and crew of the movie and that they celebrated anyway.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I’m just so proud of the film and my fellow cast members, and the director [Theodore Melfi].
“It’s a really fun group of people and I just loved working with Octavia. We live around the corner from each other, too!
“It’s nice to celebrate with good people who are also talented.”
Meanwhile, Octavia – who plays Dorothy Vaughan in the drama about three African-American women who were on the team that helped to launch astronaut John Glenn into orbit in the 1960s – previously revealed she thought ‘Hidden Figures’ was “historical fiction” when she received the script.
The 46-year-old actress had no idea that black women played a significant role in the space race, and was convinced she would have heard the story before if it was true.
She said: “I thought it was historical fiction like ‘The Help’.
“You know, your agents always send you a little teaser blurb: ‘You’ll be meeting with Donna Gigliotti about her upcoming project about three black female mathematicians who helped get our astronauts into space.’ And I thought: ‘OK, well, that’s historical fiction, because I would know that story.'”
