Jordan Vogt-Roberts 'proud' of Kong: Skull Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Vogt-Roberts is “very proud” of ‘Kong: Skull Island’.
The film director helmed the upcoming reboot of the popular creature movie franchise featuring the titular colossal ape – which first made an appearance in the 1933 eponymously titled movie ‘King Kong’ – and has said he’s incredibly pleased with the final result and he believes audiences will see things they’ve “never seen before”.
Speaking at the European premiere of the feature at London’s Leicester Square on Tuesday (28.02.17), Jordan said: “I’m very proud of how this looks and I’m very proud of what the set pieces are and I think there’s a lot of stuff where audiences will walk out and feel like ‘I’ve never seen that before.’ There’s stuff that’s just pretty bonkers, and I’m excited about that.”
And the director says it was fun to “play around” with the character of Kong, because he’s an “icon” within “pop culture”.
He added: “Kong is film history. He’s an icon, he’s a piece of pop culture, and so I had an enormous love of Kong and of creature features and just genre story telling. And I love the idea of doing something new with it, using a character that people love to show them something new in the world and something new with cinema, and to play around with it.”
Meanwhile, Jordan believes the “most challenging aspect” of making the movie was ensuring the audience would leave the theatre feeling as though the project was “worth their time”.
He said: “I think the most challenging aspect was just making sure we deliver for audiences. That we give them something the feels fresh, where you go to the theatre every day and think ‘Was it worth it?’. In a world of on demand everything, we need to make sure that we give them an experience that feels like it was absolutely worth their time.”

Kong: Skull Island producer Alex Garcia dubs cast as 'incredible'

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Kong: Skull Island’ producer Alex Garcia has praised the movie’s cast as “incredible”.
The upcoming reboot of the popular monster movie franchise – which was first created in 1933 with the eponymously titled movie ‘King Kong’ – stars Tom Hiddleston as former Rhodesian Special Air Service Captain James Conrad alongside the likes of Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, and John C. Reilly.
Alex, who worked as a producer on the production, has praised the cast’s ability to “stand their own” on a set where the main character is created by CGI, as they didn’t let themselves get “overwhelmed”.
Speaking at the European premiere for the movie at London’s Leicester Square on Tuesday (28.02.17), Alex said: “The cast is incredible. You know, from Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson and Sam Jackson, and I think in a movie with a character as large as Kong, to have actors of this calibre pulling off these characters is crucial, because otherwise they can get overwhelmed by Kong and really they stand their own. Which is very much what the movie is about.”
And the 38-year-old producer thinks taking a famous character like the titular colossal ape and recreating it was “daunting”, but dubbed the experience as “a real privilege.”
He said: “It’s a real privilege to take characters like Kong who have the incredible legacy and resonance that a character like Kong has, and to be able to take that and adapt it and put it on the big screen. And to do it in a way that’s never been done but yet have it be true to his origins, it’s incredibly daunting but also really exciting.”
Meanwhile, Alex dubbed the movie as a “great adventure thrill ride.”
He added: “It’s a great adventure thrill ride. It’s Kong as you’ve never seen him before, but it’s also the Kong we know, but in a very new very thrilling package.”

Stephanie Davis has 'saggy boobs'

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis has “dead saggy” boobs.
The 23-year-old actress only gave birth to her son Caben-Albi six weeks ago but she’s already desperate to shrink back to her post-baby weight and tone up her lady lumps and bumps.
Speaking to the Mail Online, she said: “The biggest change is that I ended up with massive boobs which I never had before, that was nice. I had like G boobs, F boobs and now I don’t know whats happened they’ve gone dead saggy. I always had such a flat stomach and looking back now I did have a flat stomach and I now have a belly. Now I wonder why I complain and wonder why I didn’t have my belly out all the time! There’s too much pressure on people to get back in shape. I’ve seen people pregnant in the gym every day. I’ve embraced my body and I love my stretch marks on my boobs and the way everything is because I created him.”
The brunette beauty fell into the spotlight seven years ago when she took part in the singing competition ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ and, although she used to enjoy boozing with fellow celebrities, she’s now keen to focus her attention on little Caben.
She explained: “You go out, you make mistakes, you party but it’s a new life with Caben. That whole celeb going out thing is very shallow. I don’t know how I did things without him. I’m loving being a working mum – just doing bits and bobs but focusing on Caben.”
Stephanie thought she was going to struggle with giving birth to the tot but, although she was riddled with nerves beforehand, she didn’t find the labour nor the delivery that hard.
She said: “I was working myself up with the birth – they were offering me a caesarean but I said no. I was so scared to get an epidural or getting a needle. You work yourself up but it’s so natural you get through it. I was saying if I can have a baby anyone can. I can’t believe I did it and I’d do it over again. I had moments where I panicked (about doing it alone). I had my mum there and my nan and my aunty but it wasn’t the same. I was panicking a lot.”
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star has been battling with sleepless nights since Caben arrived into the world at the beginning of January, but it looks like things will get easier over the next few weeks now that she’s rekindled her romance with her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell.
The pair dated last year after they met in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house while competing in the January series, but they split in May following a series of rows.
Stephanie then found out she was pregnant but the 26-year-old heartthrob refused to believe he was the father of the then-unborn tot and branded her an attention seeker.
Once the baby was born, Jeremy requested a paternity test and was relieved to find out two weeks ago that Caben does in fact belong to him.

Ore Oduba returning to host This Morning

OHMYGOSSIP — Ore Oduba will host ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (02.03.17).
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ winner is delighted to have been asked to cover for regular host Phillip Schofield after proving popular alongside Holly Willoughby when he joined her on the sofa last November.
He said: “I can’t thank This Morning enough for welcoming me back, and Phillip for letting me warm his seat again.
“I had a fantastic time with Holly and the team back in November, I can’t wait to get back in the studio.”
And programme bosses are equally delighted to get the popular presenter back while Phillip, 54, is away due to other filming commitments.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Ore doesn’t hide how much he loves This Morning, and viewers appeared to love him hosting alongside Holly last time.”
Phillip previously joked he wanted to have the 31-year-old star “killed” after he did such a good job hosting in November.
Asked if he was worried about Ore stealing his slot on the show, he said: “No, no, because they know if they’re really good they know I’ll have him killed.”
But Phillip then admitted he was happy to hear Ore had been a hit with viewers.
He added: “I haven’t seen it because I was working, but apparently it went really well.
“That’s what I want for the show. It’s good to know that if someone is going to stand in for you, it’s all in safe hands. I’m thrilled for him.”
It was previously claimed Ore was at the heart of a bidding war between the BBC – who he has worked with since 2008 – and ITV after winning ‘Strictly’ in December.
A source said: “It’s clear Ore’s a rising star and he’s now a household name because of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. He was given his ‘One Show’ presenting debut during ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in a really tricky episode where he had to interview Sir Cliff Richard, but passed the test with flying colours.”
But ITV reportedly slapped down a £500,000 offer as they liked the way he presented ‘This Morning’.
The insider explained: “There’s a sense of urgency to get him presenting some other programmes and have him based in London now after his spot on ‘This Morning’.”

Hugh Jackman says his wife is happy he's quit his Wolverine diet

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman’s wife is happy he quit his ‘Wolverine’ diet.
The 48-year-old actor, who has played the Marvel character for the last 17 years, admitted his spouse Deborra-Lee Furness is pleased he won’t be taking as much care of his body now his stint in the franchise is coming to an end because his “job” is not to look better than her.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, Jackman said: “I think she’s just happy I’m off that diet. She said, ‘You’ve got to understand that your job as a husband is not to be in shape and make me look good.”
And he revealed his wife didn’t even want him to audition for Wolverine in the first place.
He recalled: “She told me, ‘Hugh, you were at the National Theatre with Sir Trevor Nunn, you cannot have claws coming out of your hands, this is ridiculous’. ”
But he is delighted his final appearance is his best one yet.
He explained: “When I was in drama school I used to listen to an audiobook of John Gielgud reading his autobiography.
“He talked about playing Hamlet 10 times and how, at the end of his life, he realised, ‘The first one was the best’, but I always thought I hadn’t cracked it so I had to have another go.”
He continued: “When we first started this I thought, please don’t let this be my Hamlet! Because I had that same feeling of, ‘there’s more to to’. But unlike Gielgud, as I sit here today, I feel like this last one is the best.”
Jackman enlisted the help of personal trainer Mike Ryan to get into shape and on a typical day, Ryan revealed that he would eat six meals a day rather than three large ones, get protein from natural, unprocessed sources, drink mainly water ad avoid all processed foods.
In a previous interview, he said: “We were using protein powder regularly. I made sure Hugh got plenty of amino acids before training and immediately after, and then he would have a slow-acting protein at night, such as cottage cheese.”
‘Logan’ is in cinemas from March 1, 2017.

John C. Reilly says Kong: Skull Island puts 'great spin' on franchise

OHMYGOSSIP — John C. Reilly thinks ‘Kong: Skull Island’ gives a “great spin” on the King Kong franchise.
The 51-year-old actor stars as World War II Lieutenant Hank Marlow – a man who has been stuck on the titular island for 28 years – in the upcoming reboot of the popular franchise, which was first established in 1933, and has he “really enjoyed” working on the production.
Speaking at the European premiere of the movie in London’s Leicester Square on Tuesday (28.02.17), John said: “I’m excited to bring this story to the whole world, it’s a really appealing story. I think it’s a great spin on the King Kong myth and I really enjoyed it myself so I’m thrilled to share it with everybody.”
And John – who stars alongside the likes of Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson in the monster movie – says audiences get to spend “a lot more time” with the titular colossal ape than in previous installments of the franchise.
Asked what audiences can expect from the production, he said: “Well you spend a lot more time with King Kong himself in this movie than I think in any other version. You see him early and often, and it’s awesome. The technology of the CGI at the point is pretty impressive.”
Meanwhile, John admits it was director Jordan Vogt-Roberts who drew him to the production, as his “vision” made the project “seem really fun”.
Asked why he took on the role, John said: “I like the character a lot that I play. He’s this kind of cast away, lost in time guy. And also it was Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ personality that really drew me in. Jordan just seemed to have the whole thing, this vision in his head of the way he was going to do this, and it seemed really fun.”

Lady Colin Campbell to get own TV show in the US?

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Colin Campbell is in talks to land her own reality TV show.
The 67-year-old socialite made waves in the news when she locked horns with her fellow camp mates in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle but, although her acid tongue didn’t go down well with viewers, it looks like it’s done her good in the long run as she’s set to launch her own series based on her flamboyant life across the pond.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: “I’m speaking to American television about doing a show there. I’ve been on American TV hundreds of times but not with my own show so this will be new for me. I’ve been on practically every show over there but this would be different, this would be my show.”
The reality TV star is no stranger to having all eyes on her as ITV offered her a show ‘Lady in the Castle’, which gave fans an insight into her posh life, last year but she hated every moment of it and hopes her new series will give a more real portrayal of her.
She said: “I hope my American show won’t be anything like the ITV show I did. I am hoping it will be less stereotypical. It won’t just be about me being a Lady or living in a castle.”
And the outspoken aristocrat is convinced the US audience will love her because they’re all obsessed with her accent and are constantly ask her to say particular words.
She added: “They love the accent over there. They’re always saying: ‘Please say can’t. I just love the way you say it.’ And when I say it they are just thrilled.”
But it’s not just US bosses who are keen to snap her up, as television executives have reached out to her numerous times since she left the jungle in 2015 about taking part in a series of different reality TV shows – but she’s turned them down thus far.

Bianca Gascoigne 'blanked' Jamie O'Hara at launch party

OHMYGOSSIP — Bianca Gascoigne “blanked” Jamie O’Hara when they came face-to-face for the first time since their bitter split at a launch party in London on Tuesday (28.02.17) night.
The blonde bombshell has been struggling to sleep since she was dramatically dumped by the out-of-action footballer last month after they met in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house, and it seems she’s not ready to bury the hatchet just yet as she reportedly refused to speak to the hunk at the BoardroomToBoudoir launch bash.
A source told The Sun Online: “Bianca totally blanked Jamie when she arrived, she blatantly didn’t want anything to do with him. It’s the first time they’ve been in the same room since the split and all the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ crew were there together.
“They managed to avoid each other for an hour or so but it was inevitable they’d bump into each other. Jamie kept glancing over at her and eventually said a quick hello but things were very tense between them, it was not a good atmosphere.”
Jamie – who has since rekindled his romance with his former flame Elizabeth Jayne Tierney – even tried to get Bianca’s attention at one point but she wasn’t having any of it.
The insider explained to the publication: “At one point he reached out to get her attention and talk to her but she blanked him and spoke to her friend instead.”
The 30-year-old glamour model was left humiliated at the beginning of February when she found out the sportsman had ended their relationship without informing her first.
She said recently: “I’ve had a really hard time, I’ve not been sleeping because of my anxiety and the whole thing …
“I’ve actually just booked a holiday. I’m going away later just to clear my head. I’m going to turn off my phone. I’m just not sleeping. I think it’s because it’s still fresh.”
But it’s not just the breakdown of her romance that’s wreaked havoc with her nerves as Bianca – who is the stepdaughter of footballing legend Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne – has also been branded a “cheat” after her romance with Jamie blossomed in the infamous abode while she was still in a relationship with CJ Meeks.

Harry Hill snubbed by Ant and Dec

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Hill claims Ant and Dec keep turning down the chance to appear on one of his shows.
The 52-year-old comedian hosted ‘TV Burp’ from 2001 to 2012, and has revealed the pair previously snubbed a potential appearance on the madcap ITV programme among others, and that the popular Geordie duo – whose full names are Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – are “impossible” to track down.
Harry said: “Previously I’d asked them to do stuff on ‘TV Burp’ but they’re a bit like The Beatles – it’s impossible to get hold of them. There’s like an outer circle of people who protect them fiercely.
“They’re not allowed to travel together and they have a network of tunnels that transport them from ITV Studios back to their homes in Chiswick.”
However, Harry is not afraid of getting snubbed and has invited ‘EastEnders’ actor, Danny Dyer – who plays loveable pub owner Mick Carter in the BBC One soap – to appear on the panel of the new series of ‘Harry Hill’s Alien Fun Capsule’, but he accepts that it may be a big ask as the 39-year-old actor has such a busy filming schedule.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, he shared: “We’ve asked him, but the ‘EastEnders’ cast are quite tricky because they don’t know their schedules.”
Danny is Harry’s favourite to take part in the show, which sees two teams attempt to save the planet from alien invasion by undertaking a number of challenges, and says he once told him he was a “funny c***”.
Harry also joked that he thinks Danny should be cast as his ancestor Edward III in a biopic.
He added: “He’s top of the list. I met him once and he goes, ‘You’re a funny c***! He said it about 10 times over. I think he’s a really good actor.
“The obvious thing would be to cast him as his ancestor, Edward III. But he would have to be Cockney.”

Chris Pratt debuts Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt has debuted the new trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’.
The 37-year-old actor – who has reprised the role of Star-Lord for the Marvel movie – showcased new footage of the much-anticipated sci-fi film during an episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’.
The new trailer serves as an introduction to Kurt Russell’s character Ego the Living Planet, who is seen telling Sky-Lord: “After all these years, I’ve found you.”
To which he responds: “And who the hell are you?”
Then, Ego the Living Planet tells Star-Lord: “I’m your dad.”
The new trailer also introduces the new villain Ayesha, who aspires to “cleanse the universe” of fear and jealousy.
Meanwhile, Dave Bautista – who has reprised the role of Drax the Destroyer for the new movie – recently admitted he bombarded Kurt Russell with “fanboy questions” on the set of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’.
The 48-year-old wrestler-turned-actor confessed to quizzing the Hollywood star on his previous roles.
He said: “I didn’t want to hit him with all of the fanboy questions right off the bat, but as soon as I got comfortable with him I did. He’s great and super down to the earth, he’s a very social guy and doesn’t like to separate himself from the younger cast, he’s got a lot of great stories, he’s very good looking … he’s a very interesting guy!”
Asked what the pair spoke about, he added: “The first thing I asked him about was ‘Big Trouble in Little China’, I just wanted to know more about that, and what he thought about The Rock being recast as Jack Burton and he said, ‘Ah, I don’t care.’ And I said ‘Really?’ I was really upset by that because to me, The Rock is not Jack Burton, like Chris Pratt would make a much better Jack Burton.
“I take that stuff very personally, because I’m a fan boy first, I am a geek at heart. So, he just didn’t care, ‘Oh I’m sure he’ll do a great job’ and then of course I asked ‘Escape from New York’ questions, and we had a lot of good conversations about that.”

Nicholas Hoult cast alongside Emma Stone in The Favourite

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicholas Hoult has joined the cast of ‘The Favourite’.
The ‘Equals’ star is set to join ‘La La Land’ actress Emma Stone, 28, in the forthcoming biopic about Queen Anne [Olivia Colman] which is directed by filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos.
The 27-year-old actor will be reunited with his ‘About A Boy’ co-star Rachel Weisz in the feature film, the pair starred alongside in comedy film with lead star Hugh Grant in 2002.
According to Deadline, Hoult plays Tory party leader, Harley, who was in power during the reign of Queen Anne in the 17th and early 18th century.
The script has been written by Deborah Davis and Tony McNamara.
Ceci Dempsey from Scarlet Films, Ed Guiney of Element Pictures and Lee Magiday – who worked with Yorgos on ‘The Lobster’ as producer – will produce the movie and Andrew Lowe, also from Element, is the executive producer.
The story follows the story of Anne – who became queen in 1702 – right up until her death in August 1714 and how she died childless despite going through 17 pregnancies.
At present, Hoult has just finished production of historical drama ‘The Current War’, in which he portrays Nikola Tesla and stars alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, giving him plenty of experience for the role in ‘The Favourite’.
‘The Current War’ is one of two movies that centre around the feud between Edison and Westinghouse, as Black Bear Pictures is currently developing ‘The Last Days of Night’ which will star Eddie Redmayne as the lawyer caught in the middle of the patent battle that ensued following Edison’s discovery of the electrical current.
‘The Favourite’ is slated for release in 2018.

J.K. Rowling's Fantastic tease for magical sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — J.K Rowling has teased the script for a ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ sequel.
The ‘Harry Potter’ author took to Twitter to share a photo of a document which contained the typed words “written by J.K. Rowling” along snippets of the text “confidential” and “Warner Bros. Pictures” – the studio which is responsible for bringing the magical movie to the big screen and the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise.
Rowling further whipped fans into a frenzy of excitement by captioning the image: “Having a Beastly day.”
One fan wrote, “Oh my lawdy (sic”, while others asked what the sequel will be called – with one suggesting it could be ‘Beastly Day’ and another couldn’t contain their excitement by posting, “OMG THE SCRIPT FOR THE NEXT FANTASTIC BEASTS MOVIE (sic)”.
The first film was written by Rowling – based on her book of the same name – and directed by David Yates, who was also at the helm of the final four films in the Potter franchise.
It starred Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne as the “Magizoologist” Newt Scamander, Inherent Vice’s Katherine Waterson as a witch named Tina and Colin Farrell as wizard Graves.
At the Academy Awards held on Sunday (26.02.17) the film scooped the Oscar for Best Costume Design, which went to Colleen Atwood – and marks the first Academy Award for the ‘Potter’ franchise.

Shooting on the project is due to begin in August and will take place in London and Paris.
It is the first of four planned sequels by Warner Bros. and 51-year-old Rowling.

Drew Barrymore fought hard for Michael Vartan casting

OHMYGOSSIP — Drew Barrymore fought “very hard” for Michael Vartan to be cast in ‘Never Been Kissed’.
The 48-year-old actor, who played the role of Sam Coulson in the 1999 movie, was so nervous ahead of his audition for the production and couldn’t tell whether he had landed the part or not, although he had the full support of his 42-year-old co-star and producer of the romantic comedy.
Speaking to E! News about the film, the French-born star said: “I auditioned for ‘Never Been Kissed’ 16 years ago and I was as nervous as can be. It was my first, one of my first really big movie auditions and I really had no notion or thought that I was going to get the job. And Drew Barrymore, who was the star and producer of the movie, fought very hard for me and I got the job. So I’d say that’s my biggest one … it got me my foot in the door.”
And the hunk believes he is “terrible” in auditions and still struggles to shake the nerves ahead of every interview he undertakes for a new project, even after almost 20 years in the entertainment industry.
The ‘Monster-in-Law’ star explained: “Every audition is terrible. It’s really nothing but self-loathing and self-doubt.”
And Michael has revealed the try outs he thinks have been his “best” effort have failed to see him land a role, whilst auditions that leave him with a bad feeling after he receives a “call back” for.
He explained: “The auditions I thought I’d done the best on I never even got a call back and the auditions where I threw my sides in the trash walking out saying ‘That’s done’ you get a call back. There’s no rhyme or reason.”
Meanwhile, Michael is set to star in television series ‘The Arrangement’, which will air on E! on Sunday (05.03.17) at 10pm.

Danniella Westbrook lands movie role

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook has reportedly bagged herself a role in a new film.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star was desperate to revive her acting career after she fell off the wagon late last year and it finally looks like things are working in her favour as she’s managed to snap up a part in a forthcoming action blockbuster.
A source told The Sun Online: “Danniella is really excited to be working on this project and can’t wait to get stuck in. It’s a brand new action film and if she makes a good job of it the role could lead to other opportunities.”
The 43-year-old actress had a rough year throughout 2016 as she appeared to be at death’s door over the summer when she was struck down with septicaemia.
She was forced to have her teeth ripped out so that doctors could treat the condition – also known as blood poisoning – and that plunged her deeper into depression.
And things went from bad to worse towards the end of the year as in the run up to Christmas, Danniella was also made homeless and her car was repossessed.
She recently said: “Everything was going so well. It was supposed to be my year, but then the teeth implants didn’t take and I became so low. I’m an addict and the wheels fell off. I was dabbing cocaine around my mouth and rubbing it in to numb the pain. I was hospitalised, I could have died. I had three operations in seven weeks.”
Danniella is now planning to sue the makers of ‘Celebrity Botched Up Bodies’, who carried out her initial dental work, for £750,000 in order to cover her loss of earnings.
She said: “I’m suing the makers of ‘Celebrity Botched Up Bodies’ for £750,000 to cover lost earnings. I’ve had sleepless nights and crying about the state my teeth are in. Sometimes you want to go out for dinner and have a great big bit of steak but I can’t do that – I’ll probably bite in to it and [the implant] will be stuck in the meat.”

Kim Woodburn was sexually abused by her dad

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Woodburn was sexually abused by her father.
The ‘How Clean is Your House?’ star has revealed she was “very young” when her dad Terrence McKenzie – who passed away in 1992 – touched her “naughty bits.”
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (28.02.17), she said: “My father was a Royal Marine. He was physically abusive. He would hit me with carpet brushes. Oh yes (it was sexual). He touched my naughty bits when he thought he’d get away with it.”
The 74-year-old professional cleaner didn’t feel she could tell her mother Mary about the things her father was doing to her behind closed doors because they didn’t share a very “loving” relationship and she’d often make nasty remarks about her to belittle her.
She said: “I didn’t tell her [mother]. We didn’t talk about those things. She used to say to me: “If I’d have known what you would have been like, I would have sent you back”.’
However, her father wasn’t the only man to do inappropriate things to her as her stepfather beat her when he was under the influence of alcohol.
She said: “I was abused for as long as I can remember. From when I was two and a half or three years old. We were war babies and lots of sad things happened at that time. You meet a young man and he’s going away to war and you think you’ll never see him again so sex takes place because it’s a time of desperation. That’s what happened with my mum – she got pregnant.
“My parents married but they divorced later on and two little girls were left with my mum. It’s sad. Both my parents abused me – my mum and dad.
“And then my stepdad. There were beatings and drunkenness. I could never understand why it was happening to me. They never laid a finger on my sister.”
Although this is the first time Kim has opened up about the abuse she endured as a youngster, she has admitted the heartbreaking experience has never left her mind.
She explained: “It never leaves you. I am 74 now, but I have a great life. I often see lovely families when I’m out and think about how good the parents are.”
