Logan crew jealous of Sir Patrick Stewart

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Patrick Stewart left the ‘Logan’ crew jealous when he was carried around by Hugh Jackman.
The 76-year-old actor’s wheelchair bound character Professor Charles Xavier had to be carried up flights of stairs by Hugh’s Wolverine in the new movie and Patrick admitted many of the people who worked with them on the shoot were extremely envious.
He told USA Today: “There were numerous envious glances in my direction by certain members of the crew.
“I think that is one thing I shall have on my CV in the future — a Knight of the Realm and also the distinction of being carried in the arms of Hugh Jackman all around the Deep South of the United States. I look on it as a significant distinction.”
And Patrick praised Hugh’s strength as the star lugged him around the film set.
He said: “There was one moment where he had to pick me up off the floor and all of this is done in one shot. And I am glad to assure you, and the world at large, that I was never ever in any peril. Even when he was carrying me quickly up and down deep flights of stairs.”
Meanwhile, Hugh, 48, says ‘Logan’ is his final appearance as Wolverine and he’s “loving” being able to enjoy fatty foods again now that he doesn’t have to keep in shape for the role.
He said: “Now I’m eating and loving it. Sometimes waking up at two in the morning just to have breakfast cereal, and then go back to bed. With it still in my lap.
“It’s sort of unbelievable to me, what I did for 17 years. The first one, I thought you could get into shape in three weeks. The director pushed all the ‘shirt off’ scenes to the very end. You stop drinking water about 30 hours before you shoot. You lose ten pounds of water weight.”
And it isn’t just Hugh who’s happy he’s no longer under pressure to stay slim, as his wife Deborra-Lee Furness is pleased he will no longer look better than her.
Hugh said recently: “I think she’s just happy I’m off that diet. She said, ‘You’ve got to understand that your job as a husband is not to be in shape and make me look good.”
And he revealed his wife didn’t even want him to audition for Wolverine in the first place.
He recalled: “She told me, ‘Hugh, you were at the National Theatre with Sir Trevor Nunn, you cannot have claws coming out of your hands, this is ridiculous’.”

Dakota Johnson makes pact with parents not to watch Fifty Shades

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Johnson made her parents “promise” not to watch the ‘Fifty Shades’ movies.
The 27-year-old actress – who is the daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson – admits it is “hard” for her mother and father to know they’ll never see her in the raunchy high-profile trilogy, but she is thankful they agreed to her request.
Asked if they have seen the films, she said: “No, that is not happening, nor will it ever happen. That’s hard for them, just this huge moviement around these movies that I’m part of, but not being able to watch them.
“I know it’s tough. But I made them promise and they respect that.”
And Dakota will be particularly thankful her parents won’t see ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ because it’s even raunchier than ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ was.
She told OK! magazine: “The sex is definitely better in this one. [My character] knows more what she wants. She’s more confident now and has an understanding of what’s making him tick.
“Their connection is stronger, emotions are deeper. That makes sex better, doesn’t it?”
The final instalment, ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ was shot at the same time as ‘Fifty Shades Darker’, so Dakota is going to miss working so closely with Jamie Dornan – who plays Christian Grey to her Anastasia Steele – and hanging out with his wife Amelia Warner and their daughters Dulcie, three, and 12-month-old Elva.
She said: “Jamie is my dream partner and supported me. I’ve supported him.
“It’s a lot to ask of two people, of two actors, to take on these highly emotional, sexual situations, but I think we’ve done us proud.
“He’ll be my friend for the rest of my life. I adore him, I adore his wife and his gorgeous babies. They’re the most perfect little family unit.
“That was probably the best part of the shoot, getting to hang out and play with them So cute.”

Tom Jones to quit The Voice?

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Tom Jones is reportedly planning to quit ‘The Voice UK’.
Although the 76-year-old star has been vocal about his enthusiasm for the show – after re-joining the panel when it moved from the BBC to ITV – he is believed to have told friends that he won’t be back next season.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Tom has really loved being back on ‘The Voice’, and is having a great time working with the other judges and the entire team.
“They all get along famously behind the scenes, as well as on camera.
“But there’s no denying that filming show is very hard work, and takes up a huge amount of time and energy. Tom has really felt that this year.
“He has found it very tiring. And he has been overheard telling his team that he ‘already knows’ he won’t be back for the next series, because it takes too much out of him.”
However, Tom has not officially quit and ITV are working on a plan to get him to stay.
The insider added: “After being so unceremoniously dumped from the BBC show, Tom returned to ‘The Voice’ on ITV with a whole new enthusiasm.
“But while he has thoroughly enjoyed himself, that has come at a cost. And at the moment he seems to feel that he would like to go out on a high.
“Nothing has been decided yet, and ITV are hoping they can change his mind.
“But if not, they will just have to go back to the drawing board.”
Tom co-stars on the show with Jennifer Hudson, Gavin Rossdale and will.i.am.

Emma Watson feared Dan Stevens would break her foot in Beauty and the Beast

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Watson feared Dan Stevens would break her foot when they danced together for ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ stars rehearsed extensively for the film’s iconic waltz to the titular song in the live adaptation of the classic fairytale, but the actress was “slightly terrified there might be a mishap because her co-star was on stilts and in heavy prosthetics for filming in character.
She recalled: “Dan was essentially wearing steel-capped stilts. I was slightly terrified my foot was going to get broken or we were going to end up in a heap on the floor. So it had an extra edge to it.”
But Emma admitted rehearsing for the famous scene was the ideal way to bond with her co-star.
She said: “It was actually a really good pre-film bonding. We got to know each other and learned to trust each other. I would recommend all couples go and dance together, stamp on each other’s toes, be completely off-beat. It’s perfect.”
And the pair think the dance is a great “metaphor” for the relationship between their characters.
Emma told Empire magazine: “”A waltz is the perfect way to do that because you are dizzy and breathless.
“You are having to put trust in the other person. You are learning how to keep time and rhythm with another person, not just yourself. It’s the perfect metaphor.”
But despite the 26-year-old star’s concerns about Dan’s stilts, he insists he became very proficient with them.
He said: “I got very good at stairs.”
And Dan found filming “liberating” as he’d get to shoot his scenes twice because of the facial capture process.
He said: “Emma would come in, sit on the other side of the camera and play the scene again just to capture the facial expression. It was very liberating — you got two cracks at a scene.”

Billie Faiers' savory obsession

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Faiers has been scoffing cereal and biscuits towards the end of her pregnancy.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star – who is due to give birth to her second child any day now – hasn’t been battling with cravings over the past nine months but she can’t stop dipping her hand into the sweet tin now that her due date is creeping closer.
She explained to Star magazine: “I’m just at the last hurdle. I haven’t had many cravings, although I’ve eaten a lot more cereal and biscuits than usual.”
And it’s not just the 27-year-old beauty who is fed up of waiting for her little boy to make his entrance, as her long-term partner Greg Shepherd and their two-year-old daughter Nelly are also becoming impatient now that the pregnancy is nearing the end.
She said: “He’s [Greg] been saying: ‘Oh god, I really want you to have the baby now.’ This last bit is the hardest …
“The last couple of weeks she [Nelly] keeps saying to me: ‘Can I take him out now?’ ”
Billie and Greg got engaged in 2014 following a whirlwind romance but, although they were planning to get hitched this year, they were forced to put the wedding back until a later date because the star fell pregnant with their second child.
She added: “We don’t have a date yet, but after the baby we’ll start planning.”

Tom Hiddleston excited to play a hero in Kong: Skull Island'

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hiddleston is thrilled to be playing a hero in ‘Kong: Skull Island’.
The 36-year-old actor has portrayed Thor’s villainous brother Loki in the Marvel movies ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and ‘Thor’ but admitted it was lovely to be asked to play the good guy in the new action film.
He told USA Today: “Action has always been a part of me. In the Marvel films, it’s hidden in the playfulness and mischief of that character. But actually, there’s several one-to-ones with ‘Captain America’ and ‘Thor’ where the action requires choreography. But ‘Kong’ puts all of that centre stage.
“It’s like, this (Tom’s character former SAS tracker Captain James Conrad] is the guy you want on the ground in a jungle. It’s lovely to be a hero.”
Tom’s ‘Kong’ character is introduced to viewers with a bar fight scene but the actor admitted he would probably run from trouble in a similar situation.
Explaining that he was trained by former members of Britain’s Special Air Service and a retired Navy SEAL for the film, he said a paratrooper advised him: “If you get into a bar fight, the best thing to do is to pretend you don’t know what you’re doing and run, get the hell out of there. That’s what he said. You don’t want to get yourself in trouble.”
Meanwhile, Tom – who co-stars alongside Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson – recently admitted he was impressed by the “truly monstrous size and scale” of Kong in the movie.
He said: “He is truly monstrous in size and scale and scope. He’s 90 feet tall. We’re captivated by Kong’s power and majesty. He is the mystery of the unknown, he is a terrifying force of nature with an intelligence we don’t understand.”

Jeremy McConnell's father dead after short cancer battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell’s father has died.
The 27-year-old Irish model has been left devastated after his father passed away on Friday (03.03.17), following a short battle with cancer.
A representative for Jeremy told The Sun Online: “On Friday 3rd March 2017 Jeremy McConnell’s father passed away after a short battle with cancer.
“We ask that Jeremy is given space and privacy at this incredibly sad time.”
Jeremy previously revealed that his mother, brother and sister died within months of each other, when he was a teenager.
He said: “When I was 15 I was at my cousin’s and my mum fell asleep.
“I got back about two hours later and she was gone – she had a brain haemorrhage.
“Shortly after that my brother broke his neck in a motorbike accident.
“After that, my sister had a heart attack – she suffered with epilepsy. All in the space of 15 months.
“Of course I miss them, I loved them dearly, but I think that’s what levelled me out a bit – I express myself the way I want to. I just grew up really fast.”
Meanwhile, news of Jeremy’s sad loss came just hours after he shared the first picture of himself with his newborn son Caben-Albi.
Although Jeremy had denied he was the father of his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis’ baby throughout her pregnancy, he recently relocated to Liverpool to be near the tot after a paternity test revealed the baby is his.
Jeremy shared a picture of himself cuddling the baby on his Instagram page and added a simple heart emoji.

Stephanie Pratt: There's 'something wrong with me'

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Pratt thinks there is “something wrong” with her because she doesn’t want to have children yet.
The 30-year-old reality TV star doesn’t understand why she and her brother Spencer – who is in a relationship with Heidi Montag – haven’t wanted to become parents before now.
She explained: “He and I are late bloomers – there’s something wrong with us. I think it’s because our parents babied us, so we never really grew up. But he’s turned a corner in the past year.”
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star would love to become an auntie to Spencer’s baby in the near future.
She added: “I’m already an auntie to three kids with my sister, but I’d love to be a little Speidi aunt.”
But it looks like she may develop the urge to become a mother when she meets her co-star Binky Felstead’s baby later this year because she’ll be spending a lot of time around the newborn.
She said: “For the first three weeks [after she found out about Binky’s pregnancy], I got chills whenever we talked about it. It’s so exciting. I think Louise [Thompson] will be next, but the cast is so young.”
And Stephanie can’t wait to take on babysitting duties when Binky’s little one enters the world.
She said: “I’ll be the best auntie ever but I definitely believe in, ‘When they nap, you nap.’ When my sister had her first kid, I was babysitting. She came home one day and I was asleep in her bedroom. She was like: ‘Stephanie, what the f**k?’ I was like: ‘Ava was napping!’ She said: ‘Ava was playing with a puzzle!’ ”

Emma Watson's dress fear

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Watson was terrified of donning the iconic yellow dress in ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
The 26-year-old actress – who plays Belle opposite Dan Stevens as the Beast – admitted the most “nerve-wracking” scene for her in the live-action remake of the classic fairytale was when she had to perform the classic waltz with her hunky co-star because it is so “beloved” in the imagination of young girls and she didn’t want to taint it for them.
She told E! News: “It was kind of nerve-wracking. That yellow dress is beloved in the imagination of girls all over the world you want it to be perfect.”
And Emma joked her own love life is never going to “get better” than the romantic scene from the film.
She said: “I was like, ‘I am probably never in my life gonna have a more romantic moment than this! I’m peaking at 26! My most romantic moment! It’s never gonna get better than this!’ ”
The British actress recently described the film as “unapologetically romantic”.
She said: “Pure joy this film, it’s unapologetically romantic and sometimes we need that. And I think particularly now we need that. You come out fuller than when you went in.”
And the star found it “really fun” playing the lead role as the iconic Disney princess because she was able to “pad” out her character’s backstory.
She explained: “That’s the wonderful thing about Belle I feel like even in the original she was very progressive she was kind of a departure from a lot of the other Disney princess characters and so I think it was really just where in the moments I can fill in a bit more of her back story I can pad her out a little bit more, it was really fun to be able to do that.”

Josh Gad stole wedding ring from film set

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Gad stole his wedding ring from a film set.
The 35-year-old actor – who married Ida Darvish, the mother of his two daughters, in 2008 – had his original piece of martial jewellery stolen while working on ‘The Wedding Ringer’ so swiped a replacement from the props department of the 2015 movie.
Asked if he has ever stolen from a set, he said: “Yes, the ring on my finger right now.
“I had my ring stolen – my wedding ring, stolen – on the set of ‘The Wedding Ringer’. It’s ridiculous.
“So I said, ‘Screw it, I’m taking the damn rings’ – which is probably worth nothing.
“I told them after and they were like, ‘Oh, of course.’ ”
The ‘Beauty and the Beast’ star always likes to take his own music for his trailer, but admits he has the tastes of a “16-year-old girl”.
He told Total Film magazine: “I always like to have a book and my music.
“Right now, I’m reading the actual Agatha Christie novel of ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ and digging for clues in that.
“I have very eclectic musical tastes. I really have the sensibility of a 16-year-old girl.
“I love pop music. I love Drake. I love Katy Perry. I love Taylor Swift. I just love fun music that’s kind of empty calories in the morning.”
Josh adored working on ‘Beauty and the Beast’ because it was a fun shoot and he was able to take his kids on set.
He said: “I have to say ‘Beauty and the Beast’ [has been the best experience] because I was able to bring my family with me.
“Seeing my kids walk on those sets, it’s crazy.”
“And also, the opportunity to approach it like I would a theatrical event was really fun. For Dan [Stevens], Emma [Watson] and Luke [Evans] and I to do those dance rehearsals and singing rehearsals, to get in that space – my God, that’s like, ‘Pinch yourself’.”

Tom Jones told to create 'friction'

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Tom Jones claims he was told to create “friction” with his fellow coaches when ‘The Voice’ was on the BBC.
The 76-year-old singer – who returned to the programme this year when it moved to ITV – was encouraged to be “competitive” with his fellow stars on the panel, which over the years have included will.i.am, Ricky Wilson, Jessie J, Kylie Minogue, Rita Ora, and Danny O’Donoghue, and regrets listening to advice on what he ought to say to the contestants and other judges.
Asked whether the show feels different now, he said: “It feels more relaxed.
“With the BBC when I was doing that one, they wanted friction between the coaches. They wanted that competitive thing.
“So I said a couple of things that they suggested I say and when I looked at it on TV I thought ‘You shouldn’t have said that. It wasn’t like that.’ ”
By contrast, the ‘It’s Not Unusual’ hitmaker claims ITV have encouraged this year’s coaches, Tom, will, Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson to be “more friendly”.
He added to RadioTimes.com: “They want the coaches to bond. Which I think is a great idea… this is real – it feels more real. That’s what it is.”
The legendary entertainer also criticised BBC producers for using celebrity mentors to help the coaches choose their finalists.
He said: “I think it was just to add to the show.
“To have another celebrity come on for the show. But all in all, I think if you need somebody to come on and give you advice on what I should be telling – you should know that yourself.
“You don’t need somebody else to confirm it, you ought to know it yourself. So I think it was just for the benefit of the show.”
A BBC spokesperson insisted the show was “never scripted” when they broadcast it.
The representative said: “During its time on the BBC, coaches on ‘The Voice’ were never scripted.
“The tone of the programme was supportive and celebratory and any rivalry displayed by the coaches was always friendly both on and off camera.”

Guy Ritchie didn't want King Arthur to be 'worthy'

OHMYGOSSIP — Guy Ritchie didn’t want King Arthur to be a “worthy” character.
The 48-year-old director has been working on ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’ and wanted to make the titular medieval hero – who is played by Charlie Hunnam – as “likeable” as possible so felt it was important he had a “naughty” side.
He said: “The fundamental challenge with King Arthur is to make him likeable.
“If you’re not careful, he’s worthy. And once someone’s worthy they’re not likeable. So we had to create a character naughty enough for us to like him and simultaneously have him go on a journey that makes him respectable.”
Guy had planned to depict a “rather dour, gloomy world” – only to find themselves shooting in a “f***ing stunning” forest filled with greenery and dandelion seeds blowing in the breeze.
He laughed: “There’s all this tough-speak going on, and you have all these fluffy seed-pods blowing around! Not the aesthetic I was going for.
“I’ve learned that if you’ve got this in mind, then you get that. So you work with that.
“It looks like f***ing fantasy!”
Charlie’s King Arthur is more “streetwise” than previous versions of the character, having grown up in a brothel in post-Roman Londinium.
The actor told Empire magazine: “He’s more streetwise and rough around the edges than most of the Arthurs we’ve seen.
“He’s a wide-boy scoundrel with a heart of gold, who has a health ho has a healthy disdain for the ruling class.”

Michael K Williams joins Han Solo movie cast

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael K. Williams has signed up to star in the Han Solo ‘Star Wars’ spin-off movie.
The ‘Boardwalk Empire’ actor is the latest name to join the cast of the highly-anticipated movie, which explores the origins of the Rebel Alliance leader, but as with all previous casting announcements, details of who the 50-year-old star will be playing and their significance to the plot, are being kept under wraps.
News of his casting was announced by Variety.
While the movie – which stars Alden Ehrenreich in the lead role – is shrouded in secrecy, J.J. Abrams recently teased it has an “amazing script”.
The 50-year-old filmmaker – who was at the helm of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ – said: “I can tell you it is an amazing script and the cast is obviously extraordinary. I think it is a thrill to be a part of something that meant so much to me as a kid and to be part of allowing it to mean so much for kids now.
“It is fun to see it live on in various forms and ways even five years ago I would have never imagined it would have continued and knowing what is coming up is even more exciting.”
Fans were recently given a first look into the new movie when bosses released the first picture of the cast together to coincide with principal photography officially starting at Pinewood Studios in London last month.
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller said: “Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous. We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”
A few of the plot were also revealed, with the story set to follow Han Solo and his sidekick Chewbacca as they encounter Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) ahead of the events of ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’.
The as-yet untitled Han Solo spin-off movie is slated for release in 2018.

Frank Lampard wanted for Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Frank Lampard is set to compete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 38-year-old former footballer has impressed show bosses with his stint on ITV sports comedy panel show ‘Play To The Whistle’ and they would love to sign him up for the ballroom show, which will return to the BBC later this year.
A source told The Sun Online: “It’s the time of the year when the wish list is being drawn up and Frank Lampard is one of the names that ticks all the boxes.
“They would love to have him on board so we will see how things progress in the coming weeks.
“He has impressed people with his hilarious appearances on ‘Play To The Whistle’ and comes across as a natural for a big TV series like ‘Strictly’.”
And if he does sign up to compete in the show, Frank – who has daughters Luna, 11, and Isla, nine, with former partner Elen Rivas – can turn to his wife Christine Lampard for help, as the 38-year-old presenter took part in 2008 and finished fifth alongside professional partner Matthew Cutler.
The brunette beauty “had a ball” on the show and according to insiders, would love to see her husband take part.
It was recently claimed former ‘EastEnders’ star Samantha Womack – who bowed out of the show as Ronnie Mitchell during the festive season – is very close to signing up for ‘Strictly’.
A source said: “Sam didn’t want to do Strictly while on ‘EastEnders’ but now she has more time on her hands it was a very appealing offer. It’s too early for contracts but she’s keen and the show are keen so it’s pretty much a done deal.”
Bosses were hoping to secure both Samantha and her former on-screen sister Rita Simons – who played Roxy Mitchell in the soap – for the ballroom and latin competition but the 39-year-old actress is keen to pursue gritty film roles instead.
Rita said: “I’m sticking my heels in and saying I want to be a gritty actor. I’m not knocking reality shows but it’s time for auditions and films.”

Amy Willerton loses weight through stress on The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Willerton has lost a bit of weight due to the stress she’s under on ‘The Jump’.
The 24-year-old reality TV star joined the winter sports show late as a replacement after Vogue Williams was forced to pull out due to a knee injury but she has admitted she’s got stuck in to the challenges because she’s determined to win the series.
Speaking to Star magazine, she said: “The ski cross got me the most battered and bruised. I’ve literally been flying more on the slopes than I have on the actual jump. The stress has made me lost a bit of weight, even though we eat so much good. We’re on the mountain diet so we’re constantly carb loading.”
And, although she’s been riddled with injuries over the past few weeks, the blonde beauty – who also did ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ a few years back – believes the Channel 4 ski series is the “best show” she’s ever signed up.
She explained: “It’s been amazing. It’s definitely the best show I’ve ever done.”
However, Amy is starting to miss her boyfriend – even though he’s visited her in Austria.
She said: “He’s been out a quite few times. Bradley Wiggins – who was was forced to pull out of the programme due to injury – joked that Dan is in Austria more than him.”
The couple are very much loved up but Amy has no plans to tie the knot just yet.
She added: “It [marriage] comes up in a jokey way. I’m on 24 so I’m in no rush to settle down. Don’t expect to see me in a white dress tomorrow, let’s put it that way.”

Sir Bruce Forsyth to return home from hospital

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Bruce Forsyth will return home from hospital on Friday (03.03.17) after he was rushed to intensive care last week.
The 89-year-old television presenter reportedly spent five nights in the ICU at St Peter’s hospital in Surrey after he was struck down with a severe chest infection.
His manager Ian Wilson said: “Sir Bruce Forsyth is scheduled to return home from hospital later today and would like to thank everyone for their good wishes.
“He and his family would also like to say a special thank you to all the NHS doctors, nurses and staff at St Peter’s Hospital for their kindness and care.”
It comes after a source claimed Bruce was admitted to hospital last Sunday (26.02.17).
A source close to the former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host said at the time: “Bruce came down with an infection last weekend, and it rapidly escalated into something very, very serious.
“He was rushed to St Peter’s and put straight into ICU because of his age, and the nature of his illness. He was in a lot of pain, but has been very stoical throughout.
“Of course, because he is nearly 90, doctors had to take extra precautions and Bruce had to stay in intensive care for a minimum of five nights.”
And Bruce – who underwent keyhole surgery in 2015 after suffering two life-threatening aneurysms – was said to be keen to return home to Surrey to be with his wife Wilnelia.
The insider added: “Wilnelia was by his bedside virtually the entire time, and has been amazing. Now Bruce just wants to get home, and slowly build his strength back up again. He remains in great spirits.”
