Chris Pratt's dance parties

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt holds “spontaneous dance parties” on the set of the ‘Jurassic World’ sequel.
The 37-year-old actor’s co-star Bryce Dallas Howard is “so excited” to be returning as Claire in the sequel to the 2015 movie and has revealed just what the cast and crew get up to when they have some downtime.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter from the set of the action film, she said: “Making a Jurassic film is challenging, exhilarating and most importantly fun. No matter the footwear, Claire is a woman who gets things done.
“I’m so excited to be doing it a second time. Plus Chris Pratt is here every day doing his spontaneous dance parties – what’s better than that?”
Meanwhile, director J.A. Bayona previously teased the sequel will be “darker” than the previous movie.
When asked if the movie with have a political subtext, he said: “Yeah, you’re right. I think there’s a lot of that in the new ‘Jurassic’. I think there’s a lot of possessiveness towards our creations. I think it’s very interesting where the new movie is heading.
“It’s so different from the other films, it talks a lot about the moment we live in right now. It’s darker … but at the same time it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s a blockbuster, you have Chris Pratt, it’s a great adventure, but it’s very interesting the way the film is darker than the other ones.”
Bayona – who has also been at the helm of ‘The Orphanage’ and ‘A Monster Calls’ – insists the ‘Jurassic World’ sequel will be “very different” from those movies.
He added: “‘Jurassic’ is going to be very different from ‘A Monster Calls’ or ‘The Orphanage,’ but they called me because they loved ‘The Orphanage’ and ‘The Impossible’ and they wanted me to be leading the new ‘Jurassic.’ I think you’re going to find some stuff that will remind you of my movies.”
The ‘Jurassic World’ sequel is slated for release in June 2018.

Angelina Jolie hopes new film inspires pride not hatred

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie hopes the people of Cambodia are “proud” of her new film ‘First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers’.
The ‘Maleficent’ star stepped behind the camera to direct the movie, which is based on the story of human rights activist Loung Ung, who lived through the genocide that happened under the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s.
Speaking in a BBC special about the film, she said: “I hope this doesn’t bring up hatred. I hope this doesn’t bring up blame. I hope the people of this country are proud when they see it, because they see what they’ve survived.
“I thought, ‘What story do I feel is really important to tell?’ I felt this war that happened 40 years ago and what happened to these people was not properly understood. And not just for the world, but for the people of the country. I wanted them to be able to reflect on it in a way that they could absorb.
“I hope the people of this country are proud when they see it, because they see what they survived. And I hope it sheds light on what it is to be Cambodian, and the beauty and love of the family.”
It comes after Angelina revealed the movie helped her understand her son Maddox’s birth country of Cambodia much “deeper”.
She shared: “This country means a great deal to me, this country has been through so much. This war affected every single individual here, and I wanted to understand myself. I don’t know much of Maddox’s birth parents, but I believe they would have gone through this war.
“I wanted to understand this country in a deeper way, and bring this story of Luong Ung who’s a dear friend of mine.”
And Angelina – who has Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox with her estranged husband Brad Pitt – was very nervous about screening the movie in front of the Cambodian royal family.
She added: “I was very, very nervous. It’s an honour to be allowed to come into a country which is not your own country, and to tell its history.”

Kate Garraway's sex woes

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway’s sex marathon ended after a trip to A&E.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter was told by her friend Sylive about the “14-day sex challenge” and was keen to try it with her husband Derek Draper but disaster struck after day eight when her spouse was rushed to hospital after slipping on some leaves when he took their children to the park.
She revealed: “He has always been very romantic, but over the course of a fortnight you don’t always find the time. So I was ready to give Sylvie’s challenge a try. When I told Derek he was nonplussed. ‘You mean, sex every two weeks?’ he said nervously. But when he got the idea, he was all for it.
“Derek is a very practical person – so he sat down and made a spreadsheet. Oh, the romance. We did something similar when I was on Strictly and had to squeeze in rehearsals, a full-time job and toddler, but this was different. An adventure just for us.
“Once the schedule was established, it was time to get down to business. Day one went well. It was rather fun, actually … Then disaster struck on day eight … Derek had told me to take a long bubble bath, with lots of candles, while he took the kids to the park – lovemaking scheduled for later.
“But when he came home his face was ashen. He’d slipped on wet leaves and needed to go to A&E. Four hours later he emerged with four broken bones, a full leg of plaster, a wheelchair and instructions ‘not to put any pressure on the foot at all, possibly for as long as three months’ … Our 14-day challenge had stalled.”
And Kate admits she was “intrigued” by the idea from the get go as she felt it was a way to spend more time with her husband.
Writing in an extract from her new book ‘The Joy of Big Knickers’, as published in The Sun newspaper, she shared: “The rules are simple – you must have sex once a day for two weeks, no matter how inconvenient or unromantic the situation. It can be over in seconds or last an hour, it can be in the bedroom or the kitchen … or anywhere else. The idea is to put sex back as the focus of your relationship.
“I was intrigued. When you’ve been with someone for a very long time, even though you still love them and fancy them, you may not be making space for the act of love. Some days my husband Derek and I barely have time for a conversation about anything apart from the business of life – who’s picking up who and who’s cooking dinner.”

Ryan Gosling to make Underwater Welder movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling is making a movie adaptation of graphic novel ‘The Underwater Welder’.
The 36-year-old actor has teamed up with Ken Kao and Anonymous Content to create a film from Jeff Lemire’s ghost story.
Lemire’s tale – which was a New York Times best-seller – focuses on main character Jack Joseph, an expectant father who is an offshore oil rig worker responsible carrying out welding repairs to the rig underwater. During one dive he encounters a supernatural presence at the bottom of the sea that puts him in contact with the ghost of his own father.
So far there are no confirmed cast members, screenwriters or director attached to the project but Gosling is expected to star.
Lemire, Top Shelf Productions Editor-in-Chief Chris Staros and Ted Adams, CEO at IDW Publishing, are attached as executive producers.
Gosling won rave reviews for his lead role massive smash ‘La La Land’, which scooped six Academy Awards, but he lost out on the Best Actor Oscar to ‘Manchester by the Sea’ star Casey Affleck.
He will next be seen in ‘Song to Song’ in which he appears with Michael Fassbender, Natalie Portman, Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara.
Gosling – who has two children with his partner Eva Mendes – recently wrapped filming on the highly-anticipated sci-fi sequel ‘Blade Runner 2049’.

Dominic Monaghan's killer research for Pet stalker role

OHMYGOSSIP — Dominic Monaghan studied serial killers to prepare for his role as a stalker in his new film ‘Pet’.
The 40-year-old British actor portrays Animal Control worker Seth who is obsessed with a waitress called Holly (Ksenia Solo) in the psychological horror and he re-visited texts about killers like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer to prepare for the part.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, he said: “Without wanting to sound too creepy, I am interested in serial killers. In my teens I started reading about Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer and people. So I re-read a few books and isolated myself – I made sure I wasn’t really seeing friends. Then, once we started filming, I said to Ksenia Solo, who plays Holly, the girl my character Seth is obsessed with, that if she wanted to hang out I would do. I only surrounded myself with her and that created that obsessive thing Seth has going on.”
Monaghan has portrayed a diverse array of characters but he is most famous for playing hobbit Merry in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy and Charlie in mysterious TV series ‘Lost’, however, he is recognised more for his turn in the fantasy film franchise than anything else.
When asked what role garners him the most attention, he shared: “Probably ‘The Lord of the Rings’. ‘Lost’ comes and goes. It depends where I am. In places like South America and Spain, ‘Lost’ was a smash hit on TV. Afterwards I did this nature show, ‘Wild Things’. In places like Australia, New Zealand, France and Germany the show seemed to be a big thing.”
And Monaghan has teamed up with one of his fellow film co-stars for a new project.
He explained: “Billy Boyd, who was in ‘The Lord of the Rings’, and I are selling a show about travel, history and the economics of food. We’re fascinated by the planet and we both like to travel so much. We were inspired by ‘The Trip’ Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon are big heroes of ours.
‘Pet’ is out on Monday (06.03.17) on digital download and on Blu-ray & DVD on March 13.

Natalie Anderson to return to Emmerdale?

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Anderson would “love” to return to ‘Emmerdale’ “later on down the line.”
The 35-year-old actress bowed out of the long-running soap two years ago after joining the programme in 2010 and, although she’s enjoying time out as a mother, she has admitted she hasn’t ruled out reprising her role as Alicia Metcalfe in the future.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, which is being hosted by Christine Lampard while Lorraine Kelly is away, on Monday (06.03.17), she said: “She is there. I love Alicia and I loved playing her. She was so much a huge part of my life. Again, another great, fun, character to play. I was so lucky with storylines.
“If that [a return] were to happen down the line then yeah but at the moment, I’m really with where I’m at. I want to learn more, I want to learn more about acting.
“If that were ever to happen in the future, I would like to come back with a bit more of experience, a bit more knowledge of different characters so that she won’t necessarily be the same character. But, at the moment, I’m happy doing what I’m doing at the moment but who knows what will happen in the future.”
In the meantime, the brunette beauty is playing Lady Capulet in the theatre production of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds.
She explained: “I’ve not done a Shakespeare play since drama school. It’s a contemporary setting, it’s vibrant and she’s absolutely crazy as a character and she’s quite dark as well which, for me, is interesting because I don’t often get cast as people who have a bit of a dark side but she has so it’s very challenging. It’s set in Leeds, it’s set now … around a boxing gym, which is really interesting. It’s really cool.”
Natalie jumped at the chance to join the production because it’s taking place in her hometown of Leeds and she’ll still get to see her four-year-old son Freddie every day.
She said: “It’s honestly, it’s amazing. When the job came up, I knew I would be doing it until the end of March in Leeds and Shakespeare, I was like: ‘What’s not to like about this?’ … I can get home, I can see friends.
“I can get up with Fred in the morning and be like: ‘Mum is off to work.’ But it’s for a chunk of time so rather than doing something that’s long-running, I can have time doing what I love and time out as well to do my mummy duties.”

Alan Carr to present Crufts with Clare Balding

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr is to present this year’s ‘Crufts’ with Clare Balding.
The 40-year-old comedian will join the 46-year-old presenter, who made her debut hosting the pooch contest in 2004, for the new afternoon-time Channel 4 show, which kicks off on Thursday (09.03.17) from 4pm.
Clare told The Sun newspaper: “We’ve got new afternoon shows now – they will be fun.
“I’m working with Alan Carr on the afternoon shows then I’ll do the evening shows, which will be brilliant. Everyone loves Crufts.”
Clare – who currently presents BBC Sport, Channel 4 and BT Sport – has also teased that she is working on another TV project, a short on women’s soccer and a second children’s tome to follow ‘The Racehorse Who Wouldn’t Gallop’.
She said: “I’ve just finished the first draft – it’s the follow-up to The Racehorse Who Wouldn’t Gallop.
“I’m also working on a documentary about women’s football.”
The unlikely pair share at least one quality in common as Clare – who is married to newsreader Alice Arnold – previously said she doesn’t care about other people’s opinions.
She said: “I’m not interested in what other people think. But I don’t think anything about me surprises others, Alice always tells me I’m an open book.
“I don’t look at anything about myself [online]. You’d be mad to do so! You have to learn to protect yourself from what’s out there.”

Ed Sheeran's tattooist for Celebrity Big Brother?

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran’s tattooist is set to enter the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house this summer.
Producers are trying to put together their line up for the forthcoming series of reality TV show and are desperate to bag Kevin Paul – who has made a name for himself after inking the flame-haired hunk as well as carrying out etchings on the likes of Rihanna, Harry Styles and Dappy – as they think he’ll spill the beans on his celebrity clients.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Kevin has been tattooing some of the most famous people int he world for years and counts many of them as friends. The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ team believe his tales of the stars would make him a very popular and interesting housemate. His profile is massive at the moment because of his work on Ed – his friendship with arguably the biggest pop star on the planet.”
Details on the new series are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being but it’s believed bosses are considering a pairs theme, following the success of Speidi and Jedward in the winter installment in January, and are keen on the Cheeky Girls.
A source explained to The Sun newspaper: “Show bosses think this could be the best year yet and the pairs theme is already shaping up nicely. Gabriela and Monica have never done ‘…Big Brother’ — they’ve been waiting for the right moment.”
The girls – known for parading their pert posteriors in gold hot pants – made a name for themselves in 2002 when they auditioned for ‘Popstar: The Rivals’ and went on to have four top 10 hits between 2002 and 2004, including ‘The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)’.
However, it looks like bosses will need to work extra hard if they’re serious about securing the Romanian-born pop duo as they recently admitted they’re not keen on adding any drama to their lives at the moment and aren’t keen on the television show.
Gabriela said: “The show is too much stress and drama… we don’t need any of that.”

Chanelle Hayes is pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Chanelle Hayes is pregnant with her second child.
The 29-year-old television personality, who has six-year-old son Blakely with her former partner Matthew Bates, has confirmed she is expecting a baby with her boyfriend Ryan Oates, although the exciting news has come as a “surprise” to her after fears her extreme weight gain had left her infertile.
A spokesperson for the golden-haired beauty told The Sun Online: “I’m delighted to confirm that Chanelle Hayes is pregnant with her second child.
“Although the news came as some surprise, Chanelle, her partner Ryan and son Blakely are incredibly excited to welcome the new arrival later this year.”
The former ‘Big Brother’ contestant – who took part in the reality show in 2007 aged 19 years old – has made it known she has always been desperate to expand her brood.
Speaking earlier this year, she said: “I want to have more children – not right now obviously because it’s basically impossible – but it’s something I want.”
Although Chanelle has been eager to give her child another sibling she has previously been told she wouldn’t be able to fall pregnant naturally until she dropped a few dress sizes because her love of sugary snacks has interfered with her menstrual cycle.
She explained: “It’s absolutely terrifying. I think because I’ve been so extreme with the way I’ve been doing things, when I do put weight on, it goes on a lot quicker.”
Chanelle was also told she was on the cusp of Type 2 diabetes – a lifelong condition that causes a person’s blood sugar level to become too high – and doctors will continue to monitor her waistline and symptoms until she’s managed to lose weight.
She said: “They’ve kind of said if you get any tingling in your limbs or lower limbs and stuff like that. They are keeping an eye on things. They want to do measurements.”

Coronation Street's Kym Marsh handed 'bumper new deal'

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh has reportedly been handed a “bumper new deal” that will keep her on the soap until at least the summer of next year.
The 40-year-old actress – who has played loveable barmaid Michelle McDonald (nee Connor) in the long-running soap for the past 11 years – has recently been asked by bosses to extend her contract for another year after she impressed them with her portrayal of her alter ego’s devastating stillborn.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The bosses are delighted with Kym. Over the past year she has been handed some really challenging storylines, and she has handled them all brilliantly.
“But it was the miscarriage scenes that really blew them away. What’s more, they had a huge impact on viewers, many of whom got in touch to say how moved they were.
“Over the years Michelle has become a real ‘Coronation Street’ favourite and everyone is pleased that Kym has signed for another year.”
The stillborn storyline the brunette beauty recently played out on screen was particularly hard for Kym as she was forced relive the heartbreak she personally experienced when she lost her son Archie, who tragically died just moment after he was born, in 2009.
She said recently about taking on the storyline “My reasons behind agreeing to go ahead with it [the devastating storyline] were in the hopes that it might help someone somewhere. That someone might relate to it and it would help people to talk.”
The future doesn’t look bright for Michelle at the moment as she’s just found out her husband Steve McDonald cheated on her with her friend Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) last year while their marriage was on the rocks and he has now fathered her newborn son.

Liam Neeson will star in Widows

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Neeson is set to star in ‘Widows’.
The 64-year-old actor has reportedly been cast in the upcoming thriller, which will be directed by director Steve McQueen, and is rumoured to play the role of Viola Davis’ on-screen husband in the production, according to Empire Online.
The Northern Ireland-born star will appear in the movie alongside Michelle Rodriguez, 38, Andre Holland, 37, Daniel Kaluuya, 27, and Elizabeth Debicki, 26.
The original series – which was followed by two more outings in 1985 and 2002 – told the story of four women whose criminal husbands died in the middle of robbing a security van after it caught fire.
The group eventually track down the cash for themselves – but then one of the women discovers her husband never died.
‘Gone Girl’ writer Gillian Flynn – who previously worked with the director on ‘Codes of Conduct’, an HBO series that has now been shelved – is writing the script for ‘Widows’, which is set in Chicago, rather than the original London, but is said to be very respectful of the original series.
‘Widows’ will be McQueen’s first new movie since his Oscar-winning effort ’12 Years a Slave’.
The project is set to receive backing from Film4 and New Recency.
Meanwhile Cynthia Erivo, who has confirmed she will star in Widows’, initially thought it was a “joke” when the 47-year-old filmmaker offered her the role of Belle in his upcoming big-screen adaptation of Linda La Plante’s 1983 TV miniseries, and she wants him to see her award-winning performance as Celie in ‘The Color Purple’ on Broadway so she knows he is serious about his casting choice.
Speaking previously, she said: “I said I’d love to play the role – fantastic! But can he [McQueen] see the show, so I know that it’s not, like, a joke!’
“To be offered a role, without having to read for it, is just crazy! And awesome.”

Pretty Woman's alternate ending

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Roberts’ character in ‘Pretty Woman’ was originally meant to die of a drug overdose.
Former Disney studio chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg has revealed they were “debating” killing off Vivian Ward – a prostitute who falls in love with wealthy business dealer Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) – in the classic romantic comedy from 1990 played by the 49-year-old beauty.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six column, Katzenberg told an audience at a Q&A at Hearst Tower in New York: “I can’t tell you how much time was spent debating.”
The 66-year-old film executive said that the movie was planned to be a lot darker than it was in the end and that the reason it ended up being light-hearted was because they had a hard time “convincing” the Walt Disney Company to make it less of a “princess movie”.
He added: “As a script, ‘Pretty Woman’ was an R-rated movie about a hooker on Hollywood Boulevard.
“By the way, in the original version — it’s pretty dark — I think she died of an overdose. So convincing [people] that we should make that at the Walt Disney Co., and that it’s a fairy tale and a princess movie, a lot of people had a hard time seeing it. But, as they say, the rest is history.”

Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne to marry at Gary Barlow's former home

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne will tie the knot at Gary Barlow’s former home.
The ‘EastEnders’ actress and the former ‘TOWIE’ hunk are set to wed in July and they have booked Delamere Manor in Cheshire, which the Take That singer sold in 2006 for £7.25 million, for their big day.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Jacqueline and Dan have been looking for a wedding venue for a while but nothing had really caught their eye.
“Then when they saw Delamere Manor they fell in love with it.
“Like any couple, they want their big day to be perfect, even if it does mean their entire families travelling from their homes in London to Cheshire.
“They are convinced that going the extra distance will be worth it and they have booked a date in July.”
The pair – who got engaged in June 2015 after they met at an awards ceremony in 2013 – had initially set a date for their wedding earlier last year but they were forced to postpone their nuptials because they ran out of time due to their busy schedules.
Dan said recently: “I don’t know how much I can say. It’s getting exciting, we’re getting bits done. We’ve got a wedding planner which we need!”
And insisting that his wife-to-be has specific ideas for their big day, he previously said: “Jacqueline wants a huge, fairytale wedding day and we were finding it hard to find a venue that lived up to her ideas.”
And Jacqueline is adamant she wants the big day to have a pastel-coloured theme.
She said: “We knew from the start exactly what sort of day we want. We want a nice formal meal followed by a big party with fun food stands.
“Our colour scheme is going to be pastel colours so I’ve already started looking at bridesmaid dresses, although at the moment I can’t find anything I like.
“I think I’m going to be worse with the bridesmaid dresses than my own – I’m so fussy.”

Jasmine Armfield was sick before EastEnders audition

OHMYGOSSIP — Jasmine Armfield was violently sick in a bucket on her way to her ‘EastEnders’ audition.
The 18-year-old actress – who is known for portraying Bex Fowler in the long-running soap – has admitted she almost missed out on the chance to join the popular show because she was struck down with a dodgy tummy on the way to her meeting with television executives.
She explained: “Honestly, I threw up so many times that I didn’t think I would be able to go – but I was determined not to give up on the audition.
“I think I ate fish the day before that didn’t agree with me, and so on the way to the audition I had my sick bucket in the car! If I hadn’t gone, none of this would have happened.”
Despite her worrying stomach, the brunette star managed to bag the part but wasn’t able to tell anyone about the role until it had been officially announced by bosses.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said: “I told my school tutor I had an audition for ‘EastEnders’, which isn’t the best idea if you don’t end up getting the job! When I found out that I had got it, I couldn’t tell anyone as it was all still a secret – so I had to tell my teachers and friends a little porky pie and say that I hadn’t got it! They were really surprised and happy when I eventually told them the truth.”

Sir Bruce Forsyth left hospital in ambulance

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Bruce Forsyth returned home from hospital in an ambulance.
The 89-year-old television presenter spent five nights in the ICU at St Peter’s hospital in Surrey after he was struck down with a severe chest infection and was accompanied by medics as he made his way home on Friday (03.03.17).
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Bruce is feeling much better but is still far from 100 per cent, so doctors decided to take precautions.
“Their view was that the more support he had on hand for the transition, the better.
“Now Bruce is at home, he can relax completely and concentrate on getting better, which is of course, what everyone wants him to do.
“He won’t be up and about for a while, but he is happy the doctors have allowed him to be at home – where he is comfortable.
“Everyone is keeping an eye on him, these illnesses are more troubling at a certain age but he has been through worse.”
Speaking on Friday, Bruce’s manager Ian Wilson said: “Sir Bruce Forsyth is scheduled to return home from hospital later today and would like to thank everyone for their good wishes.
“He and his family would also like to say a special thank you to all the NHS doctors, nurses and staff at St Peter’s Hospital for their kindness and care.”
Bruce – who underwent keyhole surgery in 2015 after suffering two life-threatening aneurysms – is being nursed back to health by his wife Wilnelia.
An insider said: “Wilnelia was by his bedside virtually the entire time, and has been amazing. He remains in great spirits.”
