EastEnders cast to throw Danny Dyer welcome back party

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer’s ‘EastEnders’ co-stars are going to throw him a surprise welcome back party.
The 39-year-old actor is currently taking a break from playing loveable landlord Mick Carter on the long-running BBC One soap and his cast mates reportedly have plans for a “low key shindig” when he returns from his trip to South Africa to show how important he is to the programme.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: “They’re keen to show everyone is behind him 100 per cent after his tough few months.
“They’re planning a round of applause when he steps back behind the bar for filming for the first time.
“The cast know how important Danny is to the show’s success and don’t want it to be awkward.
“Danny will be welcomed back with open arms.”
Danny jetted off for a holiday after his friends claimed he was exhausted after working non-stop since joining the show in 2013.
An insider said at the time: “Danny knows he has to rest-up and recuperate. He has been ground down by the workload on ‘EastEnders’ and then partying on top of it.
“This trip is going to do him the world of good. He can remain anonymous there and he can properly rest. He’s hoping to come back refreshed and back into work.”
His decision to have a temporary rest from filming came five months after he tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Joanne Mas in a romantic ceremony in Hampshire.
The smitten couple may have only just got hitched officially but they have been together since 1992 and have children Danni, 19, Sunnie, nine and Arty, two, together.
Meanwhile, Mick is set to be taken into Prison for the foreseeable future.
It’s not known when the scenes will air but it’s expected to be soon as Mick, his mother Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) and Aunt Babe (Annette Badland) – who has since left the show – recently found themselves in hot water with the police after they were caught breaching their alcohol licensing by serving booze before their permitted time.
A source previously explained: “Some said the prison storyline is by far the easiest way of cutting him out of the show at such short notice. Other ideas were tabled, but they wanted something to tie in with Mick’s turbulent life on the Square.
“And it will mean Danny could stay away for as long as he needs to recuperate and get back to work at which point Mick can be released from jail.”

Gemma Collins rekindles romance with ex-fiancé Rami Hawash

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins has reportedly rekindled her romance with ex-fiancé Rami Hawash.
The 36-year-old reality star is believed to have started dating the 44-year-old hunk again after the pair ended their engagement in 2014, and although the pair don’t want to put a “label” on their relationship it is rumoured Rami has given ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star her engagement ring back, which she has supposedly been wearing.
Speaking about the buxom blonde’s love life to The Sun Online, a source said: “Gemma and Rami are essentially back together.
“They haven’t put a label on their relationship yet but Gemma is in love with him and she’s told her closest friends how happy she is.
“She’s always kept in touch with Rami and he has always been there for her and supported her.
“They’ve been spending loads of time together and have been enjoying a very close relationship. Gemma says that all along Rami has always been her rock.
“Rami gave her the massive rock years ago and he was very upset at the time that she didn’t accept it. He has given it back to her because he felt it belonged to her and she is wearing it now.”
Gemma has made it known throughout the ITVBe series she is desperate to start a family, and she is hopeful her dreams of being a mother will come true with the dark-haired hunk because she “regrets” ever breaking up with him.
The source explained: “Now things have changed and Gemma is ready to settle down and make a family – she thinks that Rami is the perfect man for her. He’s a real gentleman, Gemma’s family love him and so does Gemma. They aren’t engaged again but they are back together.
“Gemma has told friends she regrets splitting up with him – she says she was young and inexperienced in love and didn’t know what she had. She feels bad that some people thought Rami wasn’t good enough for her because he’s never been a bad boy, she says he’s always just had her best interests at heart and she feels very lucky to be so close to him again.”

The Halycon gets the axe

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Halycon’ has been axed.
The ITV period drama was tipped to be the replacement for the channel’s highly popular ‘Downton Abbey’ when it debuted on screen earlier this year but it seems it’s failed to fulfill expectations as bosses have decided not to commission it for a second installment after less than four million viewers tuned into the final episode last month.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “It’s a shame ‘The Halcyon’ hasn’t been given a second series because it had a loyal set of fans who really enjoyed it. It got really good reviews but just didn’t get the huge following that they were expecting.”
Bosses were almost certain that the show, which is based on spies, politicians and aristocrats gathering in one of London’s finest hotels to escape bombs and rationing, would be a success as ‘Downton Abbey’s producer Chris Croucher was put in charge and was working with the likes of Olivia Williams, Steven Mackintosh and Kara Tointon.
A spokesperson for the channel explained: “ITV regularly considers the range of dramas we commission to ensure the right balance. It does mean on occasions we have to take tough decisions, and not all drama can be recommissioned.
“We are really pleased so many people enjoyed ‘The Halcyon’ and we are proud of what the series achieved. We’d like to thank ‘The Halcyon’ production team and actors and everyone at Left Bank Pictures for their hard work.”
Despite the recent axe, the channel is still flying high after its period drama ‘Victoria’, which stars Jenna Coleman as the late queen, won over the nation last year.
The show did so well that producers recomissioned it for another installment before the series had concluded and have even decided to do a festive special later this year.

Nelly Furtado turned down My Big Fat Greek Wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Nelly Furtado turned down a role in ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’.
The ‘I’m Like a Bird’ singer regrets snubbing a part as one of the sisters in the 2002 comedy – starring Nia Vardalos and John Corbett – but has admitted she findings acting “very difficult”.
In a Facebook Live chat for ET Canada, she revealed: “I was supposed to be in ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’. That was a fail.
“I was supposed to be one of the sisters or something.
“Im Portuguese and I can pass as Greek.
“I must have been really busy or something. I don’t know what happened! You never know what’s what. I don’t think I ever read the script.”
Despite starring in hit TV shows such as ‘90210’ and ‘CSI: NY’ the 38-year-old brunette beauty – who releases her new album ‘The Ride’ this month – has no plans to return to acting because she finds it so challenging.
She explained: “I’ve done a few films, a few TV shows. It was fun but actually really hard. I find it very difficult. I don’t know if I find I’m very natural at it.”
The movie was extremely successful with a second instalment coming out last March.
And lead star Nia, 54, who also writes the script, says there will be a third film in the extremely popular franchise.
Asked if there will be another film, she previously said: “I know an idea came to me during making the second. I haven’t started writing. Discussions have started and I’ve had the offer.”

Zazie Beetz will star in Deadpool 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Zazie Beetz is set to star in ‘Deadpool 2’.
The ‘Atlanta’ actress has been cast as Domino – a mutant who has developed telekinetic powers – in the follow-up to the 2016 science fiction film based on the Marvel Comics, and the exciting news was teased by the German-born star’s co-star Ryan Reynolds, who plays the lead role as the anti-hero in the production.
The 40-year-old hunk shared a picture of domino pieces lined up beside one another to spell out the newcomer’s name on his Twitter account, which he captioned: “Domino effect (sic).”
And the Hollywood star – who has daughters James, two, and five-month-old Ines with his wife Blake Lively – shared the same image on his Instagram, which he simply captioned with a string of ellipses.
The star also tweeted a picture of Zazie, whose face has been edited onto a comic book cover, riding on top of Deadpool, which he wrote: “Zazie Beetz Effect. (sic).”
The upcoming production is set to be directed by David Leitch, who replaced Tim Miller in last year’s movie.
And screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are also on board to pen the script.
The news that a forthcoming sequel was taking place was first hinted to by film company 20th Century Fox who showed a snippet of a scene in the movie prior to showing Hugh Jackman’s latest movie ‘Logan’, which saw Reynolds’ character as Wade Wilson bare his bottom as he changed into his skin-tight red costume in a photo booth before he attempted to save a male from being attacked.
And the footage has since been shared on Reynolds’ YouTube page.
Although a release date for the movie has yet to be confirmed, it is believed the project will hit the big screens on March 2, 2018.

Scarlett Moffatt fans want pics of her feet

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt gets bombarded with requests for pictures of her feet.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner can’t understand what would make her trotters any different to anyone else’s so doesn’t comply with the requests.
She said: “Lots of people ask me to send them pictures of my feet. All the time.
“I once got a letter through the post which included a pre-paid envelope asking me to send pictures of my feet.
“Just Google ‘feet’. Why do you need me to send you a picture?”
The 26-year-old reality star loves using fake tan but her application isn’t always the best as she completely forgets to do certain parts of her body.
She admitted: “I don’t think I’d be a very good advert for fake tan. Often if I’m wearing something backless, Ill forget to do my back.
“I once went to work and I had only tanned one arm.
“I’d totally forgotten about the other. It got to about 11 in the morning and on one side it looked like I’d been to Jamaica and the other side was lily white.”
Despite her regular TV appearances, Scarlett can be quite lax with grooming and even has to set reminders on her phone to prompt her to brush her hair.
She told TOTP magazine: “I keep saying I need to make more of an effort.
“People will be asking me for photos and I haven’t even brushed my hair.
“I have to ask Siri to put reminders on my iPhone to brush it.”

Lisa Faulkner's EastEnders role came 'out of the blue'

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Faulkner’s ‘EastEnders’ offer came “out of the blue.”
The 45-year-old actress will join the cast of the hit soap as “no nonsense” businesswoman Fi Browning in the spring but admitted the offer from BBC bosses was a shock and she ditched other work arrangements to say yes.
Lisa – who has penned a number of cook books and won ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ in 2010 – told Christine Lampard on ‘Lorraine’ on Thursday (09.03.17): “It came completely out of the blue. I was expecting to do my book publicity. I was expecting to do some more cooking, I had recipes to write and I had all this other stuff to do.
“The producers phoned up and said could I go and meet them and I met (executive producer) Sean O’Connor the producer and Julia the casting director and he just sold this character to me. He was very good at pitching and then they phoned saying would you do it and I said, ‘why not? What’s the worst that can happen? She’s a great character so I’m looking forward to playing her.”
The casting sees Lisa return to her acting roots as she has previously starred in ‘Holby City’ and ‘Death in Paradise’.
However, she admitted she isn’t used to the fast pace of the award-winning soap.
Lisa – who is married to celebrity chef John Torode – explained: “Do you know what, I started filming a couple of days ago and it’s a bit of a baptism.
“You just go into this place and go, ‘oh my gosh, it’s so fast but everyone is so lovely.”
Meanwhile, Fi Browning will play a major part in the BBC One soap and executive producer Sean teased that she is “a no-nonsense but sophisticated business woman” who has “an agenda” to cause mayhem on the square.
He said: “I’m really thrilled that we have been able to tempt Lisa Faulkner back to TV drama and back to the BBC.
“She’s an extremely accomplished and hugely popular actress and we’re very excited to have her in Albert Square.
“Fi Browning is something of a departure for ‘EastEnders’; a no-nonsense but sophisticated business woman with strength and vulnerability.
“But does she have an agenda? And who – or what – has she set her sights on?”

Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc pull out of The Nightly Show

OHMYGOSSIP — Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc have pulled out of presenting ‘The Nightly Show’.
The former ‘Great British Bake Off’ presenters had discussions with producers about taking over the late-night entertainment show, which is hosted by different people every week, but have withdrawn because they were unable to make their schedules work.
The pair said in a statement: “We were approached to take part in the series however, due to our busy schedule we were unable to make the dates work. We do wish the team all the best with the remainder of the series.”
It was initially thought the duo may have pulled out from presenting the show after it failed to pull in viewers on its first week and was slammed with heavy criticism.
A spokesperson for the ITV said: “Mel and Sue were never signed to present The Nightly Show. The production team undertook discussions with them about the possibility of presenting a week but due to their hectic schedule this wasn’t possible.”
The opening episode was hosted by David Walliams and managed to pull in an impressive 2.9 million viewers but it dropped to just 1.2 million the following week.
John Bishop has taken over the hosting duties this week and went to extreme lengths beforehand to ensure his stint wouldn’t be a total flop with viewers.
The comedian made a surprise appearance at the Old Rope comedy night in the basement of The Phoenix Pub in London on Monday (07.03.17) to rehearse his jokes.
At just £6-a-ticket, around 60 punters were hoping to see upcoming comedians take to the stage but instead they were treated to a sketch from the Scouser – who usually plays to packed arena crowds with tickets selling for £28-£45 each.
An onlooker said: “He snuck in right after the show started and he was on his own. I couldn’t believe it. He looked nervous and told everyone, ‘I’ve got a lot of dog material to try because it’s Crufts this week’. He looked a little underwhelmed by the reaction, embarrassed even.”

Paul McGann wants Tilda Swinton as Doctor Who

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul McGann is backing Tilda Swinton to become the first female Doctor Who.
The 57-year-old actor portrayed the Eighth Doctor on screen in the one-off 1996 ‘Doctor Who’ TV film and again in the 2013 mini-episode ‘The Night of the Doctor’ which preceded the 50th anniversary special ‘The Day of the Doctor’ which showed him regenerate into the War Doctor played by the late John Hurt.
Now Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi has decided to give the key to the TARDIS back, McGann thinks the time is right for a woman to take on the iconic role, especially as departing showrunner Steven Moffat has weaved the ability for the Time Lords, who come from the planet Gallifrey, to change sex into the show by turning infamous villain The Master into The Mistress played by Michelle Gomez.
Asked by the panel on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (09.03.17) if it we should get a female Doctor, he said: “Yeah, wherever you’re from there’s females yeah? There are Gallifreyan females. Steven Moffat, the writer, is fond of describing the character as ‘one character, many faces’, well how about a female one.”
McGann was then asked to choose who he would like to see in the TARDIS out of the three actresses who are the favourites for the part, Tilda Swinton, Maxine Peake and Olivia Colman, and he picked ‘Doctor Strange’ star Tilda.
He said: “I’d go for Tilda because she’s a great actor and because she’s got that kind of David Bowie [androgynous] thing.”
McGann has continued to play the Eighth Doctor in audio adventures and has attended conventions to meet fans ever since the late 90s.
When he was cast in the part, ‘Doctor Who’ had been off air since 1989 and the hope was that the movie – an American/Canadian/British co-production – would lead to a new series.
The proposed show never materialised because of a lack of viewing figures in the US and McGann thinks it’s ironic that since the series was relaunched in 2005, with Christopher Eccleston as the leading man, it’s fandom in America has continued to grow and grow.
He said: “When I first did it in ’96, 20 years ago, the plan was to try and get it off the ground in the States because we thought there might be a few fans there, that was the dream to get an American TV series going but they couldn’t find enough of them. Now, this is where ‘Doctor Who’ fandom is, it’s in the States.”

Joe Manganiello teases villanous role in Batman

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Manganiello thinks fans will “root” for his villainous character in ‘The Batman’.
The 40-year-old actor is set to play Deathstroke in the hotly-anticipated movie and is hopeful the fans of the DC Extended Universe will like his portrayal of the character.
He said: “Yeah, I guess there was a TV show but I haven’t seen it. I won’t watch it. This is my character, an exciting one, and has the capacity I think, to be a great villain.
“And what all the great ones can do is polarise an audience. When I was a kid I always rooted for the villain. As a kid, I think I would have rooted for him and I think fans will.”
And Manganiello is excited to work alongside Ben Affleck – who will play the titular character – and Geoff Johns, who worked on the screenplay.
He added: “I’ve known them all for years and I’m very excited to work with everyone. Ben Affleck makes great films and he’s a great Batman.
“Geoff Johns certainly is a really fun guy to hang around with and has a great grasp on this steering wheel that is the Titanic of the DCEU. Knowing what they have planned for the future, I think fans are really gonna love it.”
There have been delays in production but Manganiello insists it is because the filmmakers want to ensure they put out the “best film possible”.
Of the movie – which will be directed by Matt Reeves – he told Robert Irvine magazine: “Last year, I said [we might start filming in] May and that was my understanding. It depends. They have big plans for this movie. Whether or not we start exactly on that date or in June, whatever it is, it doesn’t matter.
“Here’s the thing: The creative process needs to be respected and no one involved in this film wants to make anything less than an unbelievable film, a legendary film. The movie will start shooting whenever those pieces are in place and we know this is gonna be something that we’re proud of.
“What we’re not gonna do is be backed into a start date, scrambling to get something off the ground just to get it off the ground. Everyone involved wants to make this the best film possible, so that’s really what it’s about.”

Claudia Winkleman's teeth fib

OHMYGOSSIP — Claudia Winkleman tells her kids Taylor Swift is obsessed with brushing her teeth.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host – who has sons Jake, 13, and Arthur, five, and daughter Matilda, 10, with husband Kris Thykier – insists it is normal for parents to tell “little white lies” to their children and thinks they should “embrace” them.
And Claudia admitted letting her brood believe their favourite pop star loves nothing more than keeping her pearly whites clean only serves to encourage them to look after their own oral hygiene better.
Speaking to bloggers Scummy Mummies Helen and Ellie, and Anna from Mother Pukka in a video that can be viewed at http://nowtv.uk/BLLPR, Claudia admitted: “My favourite little white lie is – it’s working quite well, it’s strong at the moment – is that Taylor Swift, her favourite past time is brushing her teeth.
“If you ever went to her house, you know what she’d be doing? Brushing her teeth. She can’t get enough of it. Sometimes she’ll brush her teeth four, five times a day.
“And my kids are like, ‘How do you know that?’ and I’m like, ‘How do you not know that? Look at them. Yeah.’ We’ll just go upstairs and brush them again. Thank you Taylor.”
The group were discussing research carried out by NOW TV to celebrate the launch of ‘Big Little Lies’ in the UK, which found a quarter of parents admitted to telling little white lies at least once a day to their kids, while 55% will fib once a week.
And almost half of parents lie to their friends about their parenting style, with 53% not admitting to accidentally swearing in front of their kids, 44% letting their offspring wear pyjamas all day and 31% not wanting to let others know they give their kids junk food.
Among the most common white lies mums and dads tell their kids is telling them annoying toy is lost or broken, warning Santa won’t visit if they’re not good, and in a bid to leave somewhere like the park, telling children it is closing.
Some parents worried about healthy eating will tell kids vegetables will give them superpowers, and if they hear an ice cream van, they claim the music means it has ran out of treats.
Watch the premiere of ‘Big Little Lies’ on Monday 13 March at 9pm with a NOW TV Entertainment Pass for just £6.99 per month. Watch the exclusive drama unfold on Sky Atlantic, new episodes Mondays.

Samuel L. Jackson for The Last Full Measure

OHMYGOSSIP — Samuel L. Jackson has signed up for ‘The Last Full Measure’.
The 68-year-old actor will star in the political drama alongside Sebastian Stan, Christopher Plummer, William Hurt, Bradley Whitford, Michael Imperioli, Linus Roache, John Savage and Diane Ladd.
The film – written and directed by Todd Robinson – follows the story of Scott Huffman (Sebastian Stan), a young investigator at the Pentagon, who makes it his mission to get Congress to award William Pitsenbarger, an Air Force medic responsible for saving the lives of over 60 Marines during the Vietnam war, the Medal of Honor. Pitsenbarger made the ultimate sacrifice, giving his life to save others.
Timothy Scott Bogart, Mark Damon and Lauren Selig will produce alongside Julian Adams, Nicholas Cafritz, Robert Reed Peterson and Shaun Sanghani whilst Pen Densham and John Watson will serve as executive producers.
Principal photography will begin in Atlanta and Costa Rica towards the end of March, Deadline reports.
Meanwhile, Jackson is currently promoting ‘Kong: Skull Island’ and previously opened up about the beautiful filming locations he encountered whilst working on the movie.
He said: “Some scenes you’d look at it and go, ‘Ah that was a beautiful place’ and then some scenes you’d go, ‘Oh it was so miserable that day.’
“Over the course of six months we dealt with every type of weather – so there’s like one scene every time I look at, I’m like, ‘That was 120 degrees’. I remember we were all dying and other scenes I remember it hailing and being freezing cold but it all looks the same scene … But every day in Hawaii we had rainbow which was fine.”

First look at Jurassic World 2

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Jurassic World 2’ producer Colin Trevorrow has given fans a first look into the hotly-anticipated movie.
The 40-year-old filmmaker posted the first picture from the ‘Jurassic World’ sequel – which stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in the leading roles – to his Twitter account on Wednesday (08.03.17).
The pictures show a young girl – who has her back to the camera – stood amongst a museum exhibit of dinosaurs, staring straight at the giant skull of a triceratops.
Captioning the image, he wrote: “Walking in giant footsteps. #JW2 (sic)”
Whilst director Juan Antonio Bayona wrote on his own social media account: “So excited to show you this!! A first look of the new Jurassic adventure. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Bayona previously teased the upcoming sequel – which is expected to be released in June 2018 – will be “darker” than the previous movie.
Asked if the film will have a political subtext, he shared: “Yeah, you’re right. I think there’s a lot of that in the new ‘Jurassic’. I think there’s a lot of possessiveness towards our creations. I think it’s very interesting where the new movie is heading.
“It’s so different from the other films, it talks a lot about the moment we live in right now. It’s darker … but at the same time, it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s a blockbuster, you have Chris Pratt, it’s a great adventure, but it’s very interesting the way the film is darker than the other ones.”
And Bayona – whose film credits include ‘The Orphanage’ and ‘A Monster Calls’ – insists the ‘Jurassic World’ sequel will be “very different” from those movies.
He added: “‘Jurassic’ is going to be very different from ‘A Monster Calls’ or ‘The Orphanage,’ but they called me because they loved ‘The Orphanage’ and ‘The Impossible’ and they wanted me to be leading the new ‘Jurassic.’ I think you’re going to find some stuff that will remind you of my movies.”
The sequel to ‘Jurassic World’ is slated for release in June 2018.

Corrie's Michelle McDonald and Robert Preston to fall in love?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’s Michelle McDonald and Robert Preston are set to fall in love.
The long-running soap’s boss Kate Oates has admitted she’s got some exciting plans coming up for the beautiful barmaid – portrayed by Kym Marsh – over the next few months because she wants to give her a break from the misery she’s endured recently.
Kate told Soaplife magazine: “I rather like Michelle with Robert. He hasn’t put a foot wrong – and he’s done the right thing by Michelle and not made a move on her.”
However, she has admitted it won’t be plain sailing for the brunette beauty and the restaurant owner (Tristan Gemmill) as he is really strong minded and won’t be pushed around unlike her cheating estranged husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson).
She explained: “In fact, he’s almost apologetic for having feelings for her. I find that kind of unselfishness refreshing in soap. It won’t all be hearts and flowers for this pair.
“Robert’s an alpha male and tougher than Steve. Michelle shouldn’t expect that his very deep feelings for her will mean she can push him around.”
Michelle saw her world crumble before her eyes earlier this year when she was forced to deliver her dead baby and then found out this month that her husband Steve had fathered her friend Leanne Battersby’s (Jane Danson) healthy newborn son.
The heartbroken pub worker will be seen fleeing the cobbles soon as she attempts to gather her thoughts by spending time with her best friend Carla Connor for a while.
But it’s thought she could be in for a surprise when she returns as Robert is expected to reveal his true feelings for her following her short absence.

Brie Larson: The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a magical hole of mystery

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson feels as though she has fallen down a “magical hole of mystery” since joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 27-year-old actress has been cast as Carol Danvers and her superhero alter ego Captain Marvel and will make her debut as the character in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ before appearing in her own standalone movie.
Brie was unveiled as Captain Marvel at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con and she admits being at the event with the other stars of the MCU, including new Spider-Man Tom Holland, was a mind-blowing experience.
She said: “My main experience so far was at ComicCon with the announcement, and I was backstage in the holding area, chatting. I was out of my mind like, ‘I’m talking to Tilda Swinton, I’m talking to the new Spider-Man, I’m so amazed,’ and all of them were like, ‘So what movie are you here for? Are you like lost, or are you supposed to be in a different hall?’ I was like, ‘Oh no, I’m like part of this now, surprise!’ And none of them knew. So I think that says something to like just what’s happening behind all of this that it’s magical. I feel like I’ve fallen down this magical hole of mystery that I don’t know what’s happening.”
In a joint interview with her ‘Kong: Skull Island’ co-stars Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson – who both star in the MCU movies as Loki and Nick Fury respectively – Brie was quizzed on whether or not the trio would appear in a Marvel Studios movie together at some point, but she admitted she is under strict instructions to say nothing about the plans for Captain Marvel.
Speaking to SirisuXM, she said with a smile: “I can’t even make a facial expression. I’m scared to even make a face or not make a face, either way, the internet’s going to freak out. Don’t freak out at me!”
The next release from Marvel is ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ on May 5, 2017 and then ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ on July 7, 2017, followed by ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ on November 3, 2017.
In 2018, fans will get ‘Black Panther’ on February 16, 2018 and then ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ on May 4, 2018 with ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ coming later in the year and ‘Captain Marvel’ in 2019.

Jordan Peele hopes Get Out induces trouser accidents in fans

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Peele hopes viewers “crap their pants” when they see his new horror film ‘Get Out’.
The 38-year-old American actor-and-director is best known for starring in the Comedy Central sketch series ‘Key & Peele’ and for his five season stint as a cast member on ‘MADtv’ but he has turned his hand to directing, making his debut with the satirical thriller – which stars the likes of ‘Johnny English Reborn’ actor Daniel Kaluuya, ‘Girls’ star Allison Williams and ‘The 40-year-old Virgin’ actress Catherine Keener.
The script is based on a young black man who visits his white girlfriend’s family estate where he learns that many of its residents, who are black, have gone missing. It’s not long before he learns the horrible truth when a fellow black man on the estate warns him to “get out”.
In an interview with ShortList magazine, Peele admits his main aim was to scare film fans, with any more poignant message coming second.
He said: “I hope they sh*t their pants! It’s the least I could hope for. Despite the nature of the film, I want people to come away from this movie feeling good. I want people to come away from this movie feeling good. I want it to strike a cathartic cord with people, and provide an emotional release. I have no doubt white and black audiences will experience the film very differently, but this movie is actually bringing people together.”
He revealed the most challenging aspect of making the film was making race the focal point.
He said: “The ultimate challenge with ‘Get Out’ was making a horror movie where race was the focal point. There’s a lot of pressure – any wrong tone, or wrong choice, and the whole movie comes crashing down.”
And he believes that his movie is very timely due to the racial tensions that have been stirred up by new US President Donald Trump.
He explained: “Horror is powerful, because, for me, horror movies and thrillers are about facing our darkest fears and our deepest horrors, and we as a society truly are the worst monster we’ve ever come across. We’re capable of amazing things when we cooperate, but we’re also capable of the greatest atrocities in the world. Naturally, these thrillers have more impact when society has stuff to be scared about. And right now, in the current climate with President Trump, ‘Get Out’ seems to provide a certain catharsis.”
