Sophie Kasaei splits from boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Kasaei has split from her boyfriend after he turned down her marriage proposal.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star took to Snapchat to admit that she was “really embarrassed” after Joel Korry – her partner of six years – rejected her and they have now split up.
She ranted: “I am really, really embarrassed.
“Like, I can’t believe what happened last night. So me and Joel were trying to work things out.
“And obviously I keep talking about getting a house with him and I want to move in with him and stuff.
“I just want to go to the next step. Oh god, I can’t believe I did it. So last night, we’re sitting and I asked him if he wanted to marry us! Oh my god and it was so bad! And I can’t believe that he actually said no. Like I’m actually fuming so we are totally over.”
Sophie has since deleted the videos from her Snapchat account.
There have been signs for some time that Joel was not ready to commit and he admitted last month that he had a “nightmare” that Sophie got pregnant.
She shared a snapshot of their text conversation on Twitter, with a message from Joel which said: “I had a nightmare that you got pregnant and had our baby. God.”
However, Sophie appeared to find it funny at the time, captioning the message: “Nice to see that my boyfriend thinks it’s a nightmare if I got pregnant to his baby (sic)” and adding some crying laughing emojis.

Amy Willerton's royal sandwich

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Willerton was once sandwiched between Prince Harry and William on a ski lift.
The 24-year-old reality TV star – who regularly pops off on skiing holidays with her family – has admitted she couldn’t believe her luck a few “years” ago when she hopped on a gondala lift and realised the royal siblings were sat either side of her.
Speaking to new! magazine, she said: “I’ve been going to Verbier for years so I’ve actually seen them a lot. Once I was on the ski lift and Harry was on one side of me and William was on the other. It was my claim to fame for years after.”
It’s not just the royal family the blonde beauty has rubbed shoulders with as she’s also struck up a friendship with Kim Kardashian West – and the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star even gave her a ski suit when she heard she was doing ‘The Jump’.
Amy explained: “I lived in Los Angeles last year and my roomie Lou went to school with her. This shows what a nice person Kim is, all the clothes she doesn’t use any more, she gives to old school friends. Lou mentioned to her that I was doing the show and she sent me a super cute ski suit. Of course it was gold and suede.”
The pretty babe doesn’t want to find out how much the lavish suit is worth because she thinks she’ll probably have to take out insurance on it.
She joked: “I don’t want to know, otherwise I’ll have to put insurance on it.”

Doctor Who gets his first openly gay companion

OHMYGOSSIP — Doctor Who has got his first openly gay companion.
Pearl Mackie’s character Bill Potts will have her sexuality revealed near enough straight away when the science fiction television show – which also stars Peter Capaldi in the titular role – returns to BBC One next month.
She said: “It shouldn’t be a big deal in the 21st Century. It’s about time, isn’t it? That representation is important, especially on a mainstream show. It’s important to say people are gay, people are black – there are also aliens in the world as well so watch out for them.
“I remember watching TV as a young mixed race girl not seeing many people who looked like me, so I think being able to visually recognise yourself on screen is important.
“[Being gay] is not the main thing that defines her character – it’s something that’s part of her and something that she’s very happy and very comfortable with.”
Pearl was announced as the new companion back in April 2016 and has likened her appointment in the role to being “welcomed into a family”.
She told the BBC: “My Twitter follower count went from 400-and-something to 16,500 in about two hours, so that was pretty mental. But it’s been really nice, everyone seems to be really excited. It’s sort of like being welcomed into a family and all the fans have been really welcoming.
“Looking at previous alumni, it’s only done wonderful things for their careers – Matt Smith is phenomenal in ‘The Crown’, Jenna Coleman has just gone on to do ‘Victoria’ and Billie Piper is doing incredible things.
“For me, if I even get to do [a small amount] of those kind of things it would be incredible. It’s an amazing platform for me and it opens a lot of doors that wouldn’t necessarily have been open before – it’s very exciting.”
‘Doctor Who’ returns to BBC One on April 15, 2017.

Linda Nolan opens up about cancer diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Linda Nolan says her incurable cancer diagnosis is “ironic” because she didn’t want to live for a long time after her husband died.
The 58-year-old singer was recently diagnosed with secondary breast cancer after doctors found a cyst on her pelvis when she fell and broke her hip earlier this month and although she considered suicide after Brian passed away in 2007, she has found a love for life again.
She told the Daily Mirror: “Oh, believe me I can see the irony.
“When I was down in my worst depression after my husband Brian died, all I wanted was to be with him.
“But slowly I was able to see there was so much to live for. Then all of a sudden, here I am and I could die and it is all out of my control.
“I was diagnosed with complex grief. Brian and I had been married 26 years and I’d known him 28 years.
“We were together 24/7 because he was my manager and he spoiled me to a fault.
“I just couldn’t cope without him. There seemed no future without Brian and one night I lined up all the tablets I could find and was ready to take them.
“It was then I phoned Samaritans. I was sat looking at the tablets and rang the number and said, ‘I just don’t know what to do.’ I thought I’d no longer be a burden on my brothers and sisters and they’d be better off without me. Now I’m so glad I didn’t do it.”
And she is determined to fight her disease.
She said: “I am really scared.
“I don’t want to die. All my little nieces and nephews, my step-children and step-¬grandchildren, they are my life now because I never had children.
“And I want to grow old with my family… There is so much I want to do. I have to be¬ ¬positive and make sure I do.
“Some people with secondary breast cancer can live for five, 10, 20 years. And that’s what I want to do.
“I’m not going to be dying from cancer, I’m going to be living with cancer if that’s what I have to do.”

Liz and Jim McDonald reunite for Beverly Callard's 60th birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’s Beverley Callard was reunited with her on-screen husband Charles Lawson on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (31.03.17) for her 60th birthday.
The 60-year-old actress – who portrays Rovers Return landlady Liz McDonald in the ITV soap – thought she was appearing on the lunchtime chat show to discuss her birthday when the 57-year-old actor, who played criminal Jim McDonald, came bounding out from behind the scenes with a delicious cake in his hands.
Before he came on, they recorded a message of him wishing her a happy birthday.
He said: “Happy Birthday Elizabeth, you’ll always be my number on girl.”
After panellist Andrea McLean introduced Charles onto the show, the blonde beauty nearly burst into tears of joy as she hadn’t seen him for a while.
She said: “He’s here? Oh my god! I’m going to cry now!”
Jim hasn’t been on the show since November 2014.
Beverley – who has played the role of Liz in the long-running soap on-and-off since 1989 – admitted that it was a “shock” to turn 60 and when she got up out of bed she felt emotional.
She said: “I loved turning 40 and then 50 but I forgot I was going to be 60 and it was a shock.
“When I woke up on my birthday it was a weird feeling, I was really emotional, I kept crying all day – it’s that feeling of knowing you’re more than half way, I’m not going to live to be 120.”
However, her age didn’t stop Beverley hitting Manchester town for a wild night out with her non “showbiz” pals and joked that her mother-in-law – who is her 80s – was on the Jägerbombs
She said:”The girls who come to my fitness class organised this party in this gay bar in Manchester and had a drag queen sing to us, it was amazing, no showbiz, no press, just a great night out with friends.
“My 84-year-old mother-in-law Crystal outlasted everyone, she was on the Jägerbombs.”

Jeremy McConnell checks into rehab for drug addiction

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy McConnell has reportedly agreed to enter rehab for drug addiction.
The 27-year-old hunk’s on/off girlfriend Stephanie Davis has claimed he will be spend six weeks in an unknown treatment facility to beat his obsession with substances and, although she’s not letting him see their two-month-old son Caben until he’s got himself sorted, she’s adamant she’ll stand by him.
She said: “He has agreed to go to rehab for six weeks. It will be quite immediate. Jeremy knows that he is 100 per cent in the wrong.
“And he has done things that aren’t good. But he isn’t a bad person, deep down, he’s not an evil vindictive person. He has had a drug problem which he has now admitted to, which is brilliant because for the whole year and the half, when someone can’t admit they have a problem – that’s the problem.”
The 24-year-old actress thinks Jeremy’s turbulent past, in which his mother, brother and sister died, and then the recent passing of his beloved father tipped him over the edge.
She explained to OK! Online: “I think his dad just dying was a trigger.”
And, although she thinks the heavily-inked heartthrob is a “b******d” for his recent actions, she can understand why he’s struggling and wants to help him through it because she still loves him.
She told the online publication: “For Jeremy this is get help or die situation. So I said to him, you either get help or that’s it, you lose him for good.”
The couple – who got together last January after they met in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house but split shortly afterwards following a series of blazing rows – rekindled their relationship a few weeks after their little one was born into the world in January 2017.
However, although everyone was hoping their reunion was good this time, the pair seemingly split again earlier this month when Jeremy allegedly assaulted his former flame while he was residing at her home in Liverpool.
The Irish model was taken into police custody at a Merseyside police station in North West England a few days after the alleged incident for questioning.
A spokesperson for the station said: “Following a report of an assault at an address in Stephenson Grove, Rainhill, a man has this morning (16.03.17) been arrested.
“A 27-year-old man from Liverpool city centre has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage after voluntarily attending a police station on Merseyside. He remains in police custody for questioning.”
Jeremy was later released from custody but it’s not yet known whether he was charged with assault and criminal damage.

The Stig breaks Guinness World Record in dodgem

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Top Gear’s The Stig has broken a world record in a vintage dodgem.
The racing driver has secured a new Guinness World Record after he managed to take a restored clapped-out 1960s bumper car to breaking point by driving it over 100mph.
The fictional character took on the challenge at Bentwaters Airfield in Suffolk on March 23 after YouTube sensation Colin Furze was asked to turn the slow battered bumper car, which reached a speed of around 5 mph, into a revamped fast motor.
Colin had just three weeks to transform the vehicle, which was documented on his YouTube account, and did so by adding a 600cc Honda motorbike engine.
Colin said: “Stig’s at his happiest when he’s making the slow, fast – so what better way to celebrate the new series of ‘Top Gear’ than by taking a rusty old bumper car and coverting it into the ultimate fairground speed machine!”
Lucia Sinigagliesi, Guinness World Records Adjudicator, added: “We’re all used to seeing The Stig driving at high speeds – but he’s usually in a sports car and usually on a race track. To see him hurtle past in a classic bumper car at 100mph was surreal, but hugely impressive. Equally as impressive are the engineering expertise of Colin Furze – the combination of their skills makes for record-breaking fun.”
Meanwhile, the new series of ‘Top Gear’ has seen ‘Friends’ actor Matt LeBlanc take over the reins following Chris Evans’ shock departure last year over failed ratings.
And Matt’s co-host Chris Harris thinks the radio DJ – who walked away from the show just 12 months into his three-year contract – did them a favour by leaving because more people are tuning in to the show now that it’s become more about cars.
He said: “It’s a bit more car-orientated so the petrolheads are enjoying it. It’s never going to satisfy the full petrolhead audience but the car is at the centre of the show.”

Roy Hodgson rejected Strictly offer

OHMYGOSSIP — Roy Hodgson turned down the chance to compete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former England manager – who stepped down as coach of the national football team following their embarrassing 2-1 defeat to Iceland in the 2016 World Cup – insists he had no desire to take part in the show because he doesn’t want to be seen as a “celebrity” as it would cheapen his sporting achievements.
And Roy insists if he had taken part, he’d have been as hapless on the dancefloor as former politician Ed Balls, who was popular with viewers but not the judges on the last series of the show.
He told The Big Issue: “We are moving in a different world now, where celebrity is the key. I’d have been another Ed Balls!
“I’ve never regarded myself as a celebrity, I have regarded myself as a professional football manager, a job which I have done for many years and think I do well.
“I’m quite proud of my achievements. But I don’t think that lifts me into the celebrity world.
“It has given me a life doing exactly what I wanted to do. But I don’t regard myself as any different to anybody else.”
And the 69-year-old coach wouldn’t want the fame and attention that would come with appearing on the show.
He added: “I want to walk down streets, I want to leave Richmond by train, I don’t want to travel in a chauffeur-driven car. Because it’s not me, it’s not my background, it’s not where I came from. And it’s not what I could get used to.”

James Martin's Saturday Kitchen replacement

OHMYGOSSIP — James Martin will be replaced by Matt Tebbutt as the host of ‘Saturday Kitchen’.
It has been a year since the 44-year-old chef stunned viewers when he quit the popular show after 10 years, and now it has been confirmed that the 43-year-old presenter – known for his work on Channel 4’s ‘Food Unwrapped’ and ‘Drop Down Menu’ – will be taking over the role “every second” Saturday, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
Matt’s new gig comes after fans of the BBC One cooking show petitioned for him to be the regular face of the programme.
On the week when he is not presenting, regulars including Tom Kerridge, John Torodo and Michael Roux Jr. will step in.
As for James, he recently admitted he is enjoying so much more quality time with his his partner Louise Davies and their three dogs since quitting the show.
He recently said: “Now I’m not working Saturday mornings, I feel like I’ve got my life back.
“I can train the dogs, light the fire in the lounge and watch TV.
“Louise and I went shopping the other day and I said, ‘This is the first time we’ve done this in four years.’
“I used to spend Friday nights in London preparing to be on telly the next day.
“Now I can sit with Louise and the dogs and just veg out.”
James knew it was time to leave when his friends started warning him his hectic schedule was taking its toll on his appearance.
He added: “Before I quit, I was working non-stop and my mates said, ‘You look like trash, you’ve got to stop.’
“Between 2014 and 2015, I had 10 days off in two years. It was all work, work, work.
“On screen, I looked like I’d been out getting drunk the night before but I was genuinely knackered. It made me think, ‘I need to change my life.’ ”

Coleen Nolan takes break from Loose Women

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan has decided to take a break from ‘Loose Women’.
The 52-year-old television presenter hasn’t been seen on screen for over two weeks, but she’s assured fans she’s fit and well and is just taking some time away from the spotlight in order to focus on her marriage with her husband Ray Fensome.
A representative for the star told Best magazine: “Coleen is touched by everyone’s concern. The truth is she needs some time away from the spotlight to get her head together. With so much going on in her family, she just wanted to be at home, so that’s why she cancelled all her appearances over the last few weeks.”
Coleen announced in December last year that her 10-year marriage was in crisis and, in a bid to fix things, she agreed to enter the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house in January.
The brunette beauty spent four weeks in the house alongside the likes of Nicola McLean, Kim Woodburn, and Calum Best, and, after she was crowned the winner of the series, she admitted that the time away from Ray made her realise her love for him.
She said at the time: “It’s made me realise how much I do need him in my life. Because when things did happen in the house that were hard and were sad, all my housemates were brilliant, but I just thought if he was here he would know exactly how I was feeling.”
Coleen also spoke about her marriage woes during her time in the house, telling her housemates: “I do think I’m having a midlife crisis, I don’t think it’s all him. I’m questioning everything – am I happy? I’m not putting all the blame on him. It’s just sad.”
The pair got married in 2007 and have 15-year-old daughter Ciara together.

Danny Boyle has become a worse director

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Boyle thinks he’s become a “worse” director as he’s got older and more experienced.
The ‘T2: Trainspotting’ filmmaker has learned a lot about the technical aspects of putting together a movie over the years and thinks that has made him take a more cautious approach as he’s aware of the consequences of his decisions.
He explained: “This is genuinely what I believe — is that you get better as a director in theory, right? You don’t, actually, not as a film director. You actually get worse, I think.
“There’s something about when you really are in awe of it, and you don’t know what to do, and it’s terrifying and amazing. You never get that feeling again, because you learn, technically, how it works.
“If you’re a conscious human being, you’re picking up, like, “Oh, this is how it works, is it, and if I do that, that happens, does it?” There’s a series of skills you pick up, but I don’t think they necessarily make you a better film director…
“I remember on ‘Shallow Grave’, the one before ‘Trainspotting’, making it up, like, ‘Why don’t we do that? OK, let’s do that!’
“Whereas now, you’d go, ‘Well, I’m not sure that’s a good idea, because of all the consequences that’ll happen.’ So, it’s very, very interesting.”
And the 60-year-old director admitted he felt conflicted when making ‘T2’ as to whether he should embrace the skills he has learned or adopt the “innocence” he still had when working on the first ‘Trainspotting’ in 1996.
He added to Vulture: “[With ‘T2’, the question was] do you direct it with all of your supposed present skills, or do you try and recreate that innocence, that naïveté, that feeling of awe in the face of making a movie?
“You know, I’ve watched them for so many years, and now I get to make one! What am I going to do? I don’t know!
“I think it helped having the actors, and the memories of the actors from the first time, but I tried to recreate that feeling of, ‘Here we go, what should we do?’ on the day, as much as possible, rather than plan.
“A film has a tendency to plan, plan, and execute, rather than discover.
“When you’re doing character drama, the discovery is the character work, but when you’re doing entertainment films — and these are entertainment, really, they’re not serious art movies about characters; they’re fun and enjoyable and you want to include as many people as possible — the tendency is to plan, and I tried not to do that.”

Ryan Thomas signs up for The Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Thomas has signed up for ‘The Island’.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star – who spent 16 years on the cobbles as Jason Grimshaw before his departure in 2016 – will take part in Bear Grylls’ brutal Channel 4 survival reality show, two years after he signed up for Bear’s old ITV show ‘Mission Survive’ but was dropped over concerns surrounding his “busy personal life”.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Ryan is really looking forward to testing himself on ‘The Island’. He was excited to take part in ‘Mission Survive’ a couple of years ago but it was decided by all involved that it might not be the most appropriate time given his busy personal life. He hopes he can give it a proper crack this time round.”
The news comes after it was recently reported that Ryan is at the top of ITV bosses list to head into the jungle this year for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ after his younger brother Adam – who stars in rival soap ‘Emmerdale’ – proved a hit with viewers last year.
A source close to the 32-year-old actor said: “There was speculation before Adam went into the jungle [last year] that maybe Ryan would do it – but circumstances went against that and Adam went in and did brilliantly.
“Ryan would be superb in the jungle and there has never been a family member following a family member into the outback ever in all the series.
“Fans would no doubt get behind him like they did Adam, and it’d be interesting to see if he reacts to the bushtucker trials in the same funny way.”
Meanwhile, Ryan – who has seven-year-old daughter Scarlett with his ex-girlfriend Tina O’Brien – has recently been trying to carve out a career in Hollywood.
Ryan said when he announced his decision to leave ‘Corrie’ to pursue other things Stateside: “I feel like sometimes you go round in circles with storylines and being in a soap is like being in a bubble. It’s time to pop it, test myself and take myself out of my comfort zone.”

Jeremy Kyle left devastated after death of his mother

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Kyle has been left feeling devastated by the death of his mother.
The 51-year-old TV presenter has recently been spending time with his father in Barbados following the death of his mum Nanette, who passed away at the age of 85 after suffering a stroke and battling with dementia.
A source said: “Nan had been unwell for a long time, and she was in her eighties, but it doesn’t make it any easier for the family to come to terms with.”
Jeremy has endured a particularly tough few months, after he also recently divorced wife Carla Germaine, 41, after 13 years of marriage.
Since the collapse of his marriage, Jeremy has been dating Vicky Burton, who used to serve as the nanny to his three children, and it has been speculated that the duo could soon tie the knot.
However, Jeremy is not thinking about marriage for the time being and is instead focused on the wellbeing of his father.
The source told The Sun newspaper: “Marriage is the last thing on the agenda at the minute.
“Jeremy has had an awful couple of months coping with the passing of his mum who he was extremely close to.
“That’s why he took his father away on holiday – he needed the chance to relax after everything a traumatic period and he felt his dad needed a break too.”
Meanwhile, Jeremy spoke about his burgeoning romance with Vicky for the first time in February, admitting she represents a “new chapter” in his life.
He shared: “It’s a new relationship, a new chapter. I’m very happy thank you very much, let’s move on with our lives.”

Future of Terminator franchise 'has been resolved'

OHMYGOSSIP — The future of the ‘Terminator’ franchise has been resolved.
Producer David Ellison, of production company Skydance, has insisted the long-term future of the iconic sci-fi series has been secured, after a recent report claimed that a follow-up to ‘Terminator Genisys’ had been abandoned, and that Arnold Schwarzenegger had walked away from the brand.
But David said: “I will say we have resolved the future of the franchise and believe me it’s an incredibly bright future.
“I think where it’s going will be the continuation of what the fans really wanted since ‘T2’.”
David also suggested an official announcement will be made in the near future.
He told Collider: “We have something this year that we will be announcing for the franchise. It’s something we’re incredibly excited about and we think is the direction it needs to head.”
Earlier this week, an insider claimed Paramount executives had decided not to make another film in the ‘Terminator’ series.
A source said: “It is over for ‘The Terminator’ and Arnold.
“The studio has taken the sequel off the production slate completely, meaning there is no pre-production or any plans for another sequel. The talent had been offered long term deals, but this is not happening.”
The insider claimed that the underwhelming reaction to 2015’s ‘Terminator Genisys’ – which also starred Emilia Clarke and Jai Courtney – was one of the key reasons behind the decision.
The source added: “The ‘Genisys’ movie was seen as a way of reviving (the franchise), but the critics were not happy and somehow the studio bosses fell out of love with making more, even though they made huge profits.”

Beauty and the Beast won't get sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Beauty and the Beast’ will not get a sequel.
The recently released live-action remake of the 1991 animated Disney classic – which stars Emma Watson and Dan Stevens as Belle and the titular Beast respectively – achieved record-breaking sales during its opening weekend, but the studio isn’t looking to cash in on a sequel as they don’t want to ruin the story.
Walt Disney’s Head of Production Sean Bailey says a spin-off movie or prequel is more likely, should the studio decide they want to revisit the franchise.
Sean said: “There are currently no plans for a sequel and the studio won’t try to force one. It will explore possible spinoff and prequel scenarios.”
Meanwhile, the Disney executive also said the casting of 26-year-old Emma Watson in the lead role was down to the way she embodies an “empowered character” in her real life through her activism as well as on-screen.
He told Deadline.com: “We knew we wanted Belle to be a more empowered character, an ambitious, innovator version of the ’91 film. Emma embodied those things in her own life and it showed in her performance. Alan had the very long relationship with her from the Harry Potter films, and very early on he spoke about her traits, her activism, her work with the UN.”
It wasn’t just the studio who were impressed by Emma’s likeness to the role either, as her co-star Dan Stevens, 34, said he was “captivated” by her HeForShe campaign video which he watched prior to their shoot in which Emma urged men to be active speakers in the fight for gender equality.
Dan said about the speech: “It was really addressing a lot of things I had always seen in fairytales, that I had always seen in literature and really believe in: that feminism is about redressing a balance, and in order to do that you need to engage boys and men.
“You need to engage masculine energy, and grapple with what that balance is, what that entails, what are the elements of the patriarchy that need walking down and which are just elements of masculinity that need to be balanced with femininity.”
