Simon Webbe believes Strictly Come Dancing helped his depression

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Webbe believes ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ helped him overcome his battle with depression.
The 39-year-old singer has revealed he was plagued with suicidal thoughts in the past and when he competed on the BBC One dancing competition in 2011, which saw him come second in the contest, he gradually felt a “weight vanish” from him and he didn’t feel as unhappy with himself.
Speaking about his internal battle to Shortlist magazine, the British musician said: “Those thoughts start … drinking too much and having these thoughts it’s not a good mix.
“I used to have thoughts of how I’m going to end it. How do I do this? Do I just jump on my motorbike and take a corner at 70mph and see what happens? I’d get on my bike and still do 30.
“I was in hysterics backstage [on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’], I couldn’t stop but afterwards I just felt this weight vanish. Those thoughts were gone.”
The ‘No Worries’ hitmaker thinks his depression kicked in during his time in the boy band Blue, which he was in with Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Antony Costa, because he felt he was being “false” to himself as he never intended to be a musician and had always aspired to be a footballer instead.
He explained: “I honestly didn’t think I deserved it. I didn’t go through drama school, I wasn’t made for this industry – I wanted to be a footballer – I just happened to be in this group because my face fit.
“But that’s going to wear off. People are going to look at me and they’re going to see that I’m really a fake.
“Depression starts from there because you’re being false to yourself. You’re not going in there with a free spirit and believing.”

Gemma Collins will have a baby on her own

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins would have a baby “on my own” if she doesn’t find the right man and fall pregnant naturally.
The 36-year-old buxom blonde has made it known she is desperate to start a family, and the star will stop at “nothing” to make her dream of having a child come true, even if it means she doesn’t have a partner by her side as she will gladly go it alone and attempt other methods.
Speaking openly on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (06.04.17), the ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star said: “I still hope. If I don’t ever meet that man, I will go onto have a baby on my own because I do think that I have a lot of love to give and I could give a child a lovely life.
“If I go ahead and do it on my own, and as much as I love the dream of the whole family unit, all sitting round the table, if it doesn’t happen I will go ahead and do it on my own. Nothing is going to stop me because the feeling of that unfulfillment.
“I will have a child, I just don’t know how it will happen yet.”
Although the television personality was told by a medical expert freezing her eggs would be unsuccessful, she would “never rule out” adoption.
Speaking about the other options available to her, she said: “There’s a one in ten chance I will fall pregnant naturally, that’s really, really rare. Two, they wouldn’t recommend me freezing my eggs, because I don’t produce enough eggs … so three I would probably have to have an egg donor. But, the egg wouldn’t have my DNA.”
“[Adoption] I would. I would never rule it out. And through this process, what’s been so amazing is there’s so much availability out there and people who can help you.
“I’ve always put my career first. I’ve never thought about my future, which is terrible really.”
“All of a sudden, at my age now at 36, all of my friends have got children and they are married and every weekend I am on my own.”
Gemma has revealed she is bombarded by people wanting to sleep with her to help her on her journey to become a mother, as she has had random requests from males offering their sperm, and her best friend has also told her she would be an egg donor.
Gemma explained: “I’m in my shop on a Saturday and men are popping their heads through the door saying ‘Gem, do you want a baby?’ and I’m like ‘Oh my gosh, what are they thinking? Are we going to go in the changing room?’
“When I broke down to my best friend, she said ‘Do you know what Gemma? I’d give you one of my eggs.’ And that made me feel a little bit more settled.”

John Middleton cried watching Ashley Thomas' death on Emmerdale

OHMYGOSSIP — John Middleton cried watching his character’s death on ‘Emmerdale’.
The 63-year-old actor has revealed his storyline in the longstanding soap, which saw him play the role of Ashley Thomas who battled with dementia for two years, tugged on his heart strings because he found the plot “harrowing”, especially watching his co-star Rosie Bentham’s, who plays his on-screen daughter Gabby Thomas, reaction.
Speaking to The Sun Online about his last scenes, he said: “You can’t get away from the fact that it’s harrowing.
“I did shed a tear, but it wasn’t so much about me, I was watching other people like little Alfie and Rosie who plays Gabby and their reaction, which I found deeply moving.
“Freddie who was holding my hand, I found that immensely moving. And I have to say, it’s beautifully written, it’s a beautiful episode to watch.”
And watching the episode where he died as a viewer left him feeling “uncomfortable” because it made him realise it was the end of his time acting on the programme, which he has been a part of for 20 years.
He explained: “It’s uncomfortable to see yourself dying. It’s nothing unusual to play death [but] nevertheless, it did signal the end of 20 years of my life.”
However John has found portraying the loveable vicar has made him “immensely proud”, especially because he has been praised by viewers for his “accurate” depiction of the disease from those who have “direct contact” with dementia themselves.
Speaking previously, he said: “People are stopping me in the streets saying thank you for doing this, and that is in many ways the best award. Particularly when you are talking to people who have got direct contact with this disease, who have lost loved ones to it, or who are caring for people with it, or people who have the disease. They say thank you for portraying it so accurately, so that makes me immensely proud.”

Joaquin Phoenix saved from flames by Werner Herzog

OHMYGOSSIP — Joaquin Phoenix was once saved from being burned alive inside a car by Werner Herzog.
The famed German director witnessed the 42-year-old star’s vehicle flip over in the Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, in 2006 after he steered sharply to avoid a collision.
Despite Phoenix walking away injury-free, Herzog has insisted he was moments away from certain death when he sprang to his rescue because the vehicle “dripping in gasoline” and Phoenix was paralysed in shock “fiddling with his cigarette lighter”.
Herzog, 74, explained to Yahoo Movies: “I saw a car [going] way too fast in front of me, weaving down, and going up an embankment almost vertically and flipping over in the air.
“I saw one man, upside down, fiddling with his cigarette lighter, deathly pale in his face, and I said to him – I recognised him; it was Joaquin – I said to him, ‘Man, relax.’ And he said, ‘I am relaxed.’ And I said, ‘Can I have your cigarette lighter?’ And he wouldn’t give it to me, so I distracted him, snatched it away, because there was gasoline dripping all over the car.”
Phoenix was 31 at the time and recalling the horrifying incident at the time, he said he felt “a bit confused” but suddenly heard ‘The Wrath of God’ director’s voice and felt at ease.
The ‘Walk The Line’ star told The New York Times newspaper: “I remember this knocking on the passenger window. There was this German voice saying, ‘Just relax.’ There’s the air bag. I can’t see, and I’m saying, ‘I’m fine. I am relaxed.’
“Finally, I rolled down the window and this head pops inside. And he said, ‘No, you’re not.’ And suddenly I said to myself, ‘That’s Werner Herzog!’ There’s something so calming and beautiful about Werner Herzog’s voice. I felt completely fine and safe. I climbed out.”
Despite the close encounter, Phoenix and Werzog have never worked together on a movie.

Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Amy Adams to star in Dick Cheney biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Amy Adams are being lined up for a Dick Cheney biopic.
Director-and-producer Adam McKay is working on a movie about the former Vice President of the United States and wants to reunite with Bale and Carell who both starred in his 2015 comedy movie ‘The Big Short’, which is the last project her directed, plus Adams who he cast in his 2006 film ‘Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby’.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bale is in talks to play Cheney – a passionate supporter of strong anti-terrorist actions and a key supporter of the Iraq War – with Carell portraying Donald Rumsfeld, the secretary of defence under President George W. Bush whom Cheney served under, with Adams being lined up to star as the Vice President’s wife Lynne Cheney.
The script is now written following moths of research and although the movie is yet to get a title shooting is expected to start this spring with McKay producing the film for Paramount alongside Will Ferrell and Kevin Messick from his Gary Sanchez Productions. Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment is also producing.
Cheney is considered one of the most powerful Vice Presidents in recent years, having expanded the powers of the presidency and being heavily involved in intelligence gathering and foreign policy. And some will remember him for accidentally shooting Texas attorney Harry Whittington during a hunting trip.
Bale – who is most famous for playing Batman in ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy – will next be seen on screen in ‘The Promise’, an historical romantic drama set during the final years of the Ottoman Empire.
Carell is busy filming ‘Beautiful Boy’ for Amazon Studios and following her busy 2016 which saw her star in ‘Arrival’, ‘Nocturnal Animals’ and ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Adams will be seen as reporter Lois Lane again in DC Comics superhero ensemble movie ‘Justice League’ this November.

Detials of Benicio del Toro's Star Wars character leaked

OHMYGOSSIP — Major details apparently revealing Benicio del Toro’s role in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ have leaked online.
The 50-year-old actor is set to star in the next installment of the sci-fi saga and though Disney and Lucasfilm do everything they can to keep plot details top secret, an insider has described Benicio’s character as a “black leather”-clad ship captain who is either called “D.J” or known as the acronym on set.
An insider told MakingStarWars.Net: “He is either named D.J. or it is his code name used by the production. He wears all black. He has a trench coat on with a Han Solo-style belt at his waist to hold his blaster. His hair is short. He also has a strange cap that doesn’t have a bill to it. He looks slimy and dirty but the bill-less cap makes him look sort of like a throwback to a different era.
“His trench coat reminds me of Anakin’s ‘Revenge of the Sith’ costume in that its lapels evoke a tabard look and its black leather.”
MakingStarWars.Net – a site which has been responsible for breaking several major ‘Star Wars’ stories on the new trilogy and the anthology films – also claimed the character’s ship is grand and resembles the Star Trek Enterprise from J.J. Abrams’ ‘Star Trek Beyond’.
The site reported: “His ship is really fancy. The interior looks like something you would see from Canto Bight. It looks like if someone took the J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek films and designed the interior of the Falcon for a new Trek film.
“The cockpit has a very nice singular red seat for him to pilot from. In the back of the ship, it has a communal section like the Falcon where a crew could sit and socialize. But instead of dingy white seats and a chess board it has a very nice bright curved blue booth with a table (no word on a chess board) and it looks more like a nice hotel than something Han Solo would live in.”
The latest news has quashed rumours that Benicio would be playing Grand Admiral Thrawn in the Rian Johnson directed movie, currently shooting in Croatia.
And on Tuesday (05.04.17) it was revealed that a new casino planet will be introduced to the franchise called Canto Bight, after it was reported that Tatooine, Endor and Mustafar will be seen again before the new trilogy comes to an end.
All three planets have massive significance in the ‘Star Wars’ universe as Tatooine is where we first met Luke Skywalker ‘Episode IV – A New Hope’ and Endor is the planet where the Rebel Alliance – led by Han Solo and Princess Leia – team up with the Ewok alien race to battle the Empire’s stormtroopers so that the second Death Star can be destroyed in ‘Episode VI – Return of the Jedi’.
Mustafar is the volcanic planet where Obi-Wan Kenobi defeated Anakin Skywalker leaving him burnt and limbless and in need of life support system and robotic limbs, completing his transformation to become Darth Vader in ‘Episode III – Revenge of the Sith’. It is also the location of Lord Vader’s castle, as seen in ‘Rogue One’.
The first trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is expected to be released on April 14 during the ‘Star Wars Celebration’ in Orlando, Florida.

Striptease artists asked to take part in Naked Attraction

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Naked Attraction’ has begged “burlesque performers” to star on the show following a drought in female contestants applying.
The Channel 4 show – which sees single men and women decide who they want to date by looking at their future lovers in the nude – has failed to attract women who are happy to strip off so they’ve offered to pay people who do it for a living to step in.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “There have been plenty of men willing to get their kit off on camera, but not enough women.
“So they’ve asked people who get naked regularly including burlesque performers – and are happy to pay them expenses for their time.”
A Channel 4 spokeswoman said the new series will include people from “all walks of life” including a pilot, accountant and former soldier.
Despite having trouble finding female contestants willing to strip, show bosses think the formula is still a winner.
A source said: “The first series of ‘Naked Attraction’ proved that the nation has a fascination with full frontal nudity and seeing suitors being picked by their privates. It drew in fantastic viewing figures and stirred up quite a reaction on social media.
“There has therefore been little debate among bosses as to whether it should be recommissioned – and they have decided that they want a second series to air in the New Year.”
And the show – which is fronted by Anna Richardson – is already looking for men and women who are “ready to take radical action to find their perfect partner”.
The insider told the publication: “Studio Lambert who make the show were surprised during the first series by just how many members of the public were confident enough to sign up to strip off on TV.
“They’re hoping they’ll will have just a big an intake in the seconds series and have already put out ads online asking for willing individuals to star on the show.”
In the advert for participants, Studio Lambert are calling for those with an “interesting body look” to apply.
They shared: “We are looking for men and women of all different body types, and looks, to take part in a new and exciting dating show. Do you have an interesting body look, for example, do you have pale skin and naturally ginger hair?
“We’re looking for singles who are ready to take radical action to find their perfect partner. In this new show potential couples will be able to see each other in their naked glory from the very onset. Are you up for … naked dating!”

Megan McKenna is 'wasting away' following split from Pete Wicks

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna is “wasting away” following her split from ex-boyfriend Pete Wicks.
The 24-year-old ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ called time on her relationship with the tattooed hunk last month after one year of dating, but the “anxiety” and “stress” the brunette beauty endured during the 12 months and in the weeks following their break-up has left her looking worst for wear, according to her honest mother Tanya.
Speaking to the 28-year-old reality television star on the ITVBe programme, which was aired on Wednesday evening (05.04.17), about her welfare, the McKenna matriarch said: “You can’t have a relationship like that, do you know what I mean?
“You can’t physically continue, I look at Megan, she’s like wasting away before my eyes, the anxiety and the stress of being in a relationship where she’s so unhappy.”
Although Tanya thinks it is a “sad situation” the pair have gone their separate ways, she doesn’t think it should be a “shock” to either of them because they have had problems with their relationship “for months”.
She said: “It’s a sad situation, but it can’t be a shock to you though Pete, it’s been going on for months hasn’t it?”
However, the French Bulldog fanatic only wants what is best for the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestant and hopes she will be “happy”.
The dark-haired hunk said: “I want her to be happy so you know, what’s done is done now.”
Tanya urged Pete and her daughter to try to be civil to one another, as they will no doubt bump into one another around the Essex area, and whilst filming the show.
However, the duo have not followed Tanya’s advice as they were embroiled in a malicious spat on the street on Tuesday (04.04.17), and ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ crew were forced to pull Megan and Pete apart during their explosive row.

Lauren Pope blasts TOWIE

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Pope felt like she was on “edge” while she was filming ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The 34-year-old reality TV star quit the ITVBe show in 2015 in order to focus on her business venture Hair Rehab London and has admitted she probably won’t return to the programme in the future because the pressure of having good storylines put too much stress on her.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Lauren said: “I do not miss the constant feeling of anxiety and stress when you have got a big storyline. It’s a catch-22 as you have got air time, which means more exposure which is great for your business.
“But it also means you are going into filming feeling you are on edge all the time. You think ‘ oh my God what is happening next?’ To the producers it’s a storyline but it is your life.”
The blonde beauty has admitted she’ll never forget the moment she was dumped by her now-ex-boyfriend Kirk Norcross live on television because the humiliation has mentally scarred her.
She explained: “It’s hard to find a man and I won’t just settle down with anyone.
“I have found it tough romantically and I will never forget when I got dumped live on TOWIE by Kirk.
“I would say that was quite up there with one of the most embarrassing moments of being on the show. I cried about a million times on TV and I was the ugliest crier.”
Although she’s not really focusing on her love life at the moment, Lauren recently split from Aaron Chalmers and is thrilled that they’re still able to stay in contact and remain friends.
She said: “I am still in contact with Aaron and it’s a shame that it didn’t work out but the main thing is that we are still friends.”

Samuel L. Jackson wasn't first choice for Kong: Skull Island role

OHMYGOSSIP — Samuel L. Jackson was not the first choice to play Lieutenant Colonel Preston Packard in ‘Kong: Skull Island’.
The 68-year-old actor has earned many plaudits for his performance as the Vietnam War veteran who becomes obsessed with killing the giant ape in the blockbuster but ‘Whiplash’ star J.K. Simmons was wanted ahead of him to play the army man.
Simmons was unable to join the cast of ‘Kong: Skull Island’ due to scheduling conflicts leaving the part to Jackson, but he doesn’t care about being second choice because it’s a common thing in Hollywood for all actors.
In an interview with the Metro newspaper, he said: “I wasn’t the first choice for ‘Kong: Skull Island’. That was actually J.K. Simmons. I don’t care. A job’s a job. When I first arrived in Hollywood, every script I ever touched had Denzel Washington or Laurence Fishburne or somebody else’s fingerprints on it. It was fine. If they don’t want to do it, somebody’s got to do it. You still want to make the movie with me? Great let’s do it.”
Although some of the shooting locations for ‘Kong’ were tough to cope with due to the extreme weather conditions Vietnam, Hawaii and Australia, Jackson enjoyed the shoot especially as some of the spots in Hawaii where they filmed were the same as the locations for his 1993 film ‘Jurassic Park’.
Jackson – who stars in ‘Kong: Skull Island’ with Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson – said: “It seems like they went out their way to make us uncomfortable. It was hot, it was buggy, in some cases muggy. We’d shoot in a big bamboo forest with the bamboos really close together so you had to elbow your way through it. Then you’d walk through some streams and get your feet wet for the day and you’d be like, ‘Damn!’ It was funny because in Hawaii, we were shooting where they shot ‘Jurassic Park’. We’d see people driving by in these RVs with their ‘Jurassic Park’ hats on doing the tour. We’d hear, ‘And now we’re going to the raptor pen,’ and they’d be staring at us wondering, ‘Who are those guys?’ ”

Jeremy Renner to star with Hannibal Buress in Tag

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Renner and Hannibal Buress are attached to star in comedy ‘Tag’.
The ‘Avengers’ actor and the ‘Secret Life of Pets’ star are said to be in negotiations to join Ed Helms who worked on ‘The Hangover’ and ‘The Office’ in the New Line movie.
Renner, 46, and Buress, 34, will be part of the film’s core group of friends who have been playing a ‘no-holds-barred’ version of playground game tag for the last 30 years.
The film will be directed by This is Not Happening’s Jeff Tomsic from a script penned by Mark Steilen and Rob McKittrick which is based on a true story which was reported in The Wall Street Journal newspaper back in 2013.
The story, dubbed ‘Tag Brothers’, explored how 10 school friends from Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane revived the tag game 23 years later.
For anyone who is not familiar with the game, it starts of by tagging [touching] someone and that person becomes the ‘it’ player. The ‘it’ player then has to ‘tag’ another person in order to make them ‘it’ and the game keeps going.
These boys kept the game going by secretly entering each other’s homes and scheduling their holidays around the contest.
The game ends when everyone is finished playing and the person who is still ‘it’ is deemed the loser.
Todd Garner, Steilen and Sean Robins are producing the movie.
Renner recently had to pull out of ‘Mission: Impossible – 6’ due to a scheduling clash with ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
His last big screen role was in Oscar-nominated sci-fi flick ‘Arrival’ and he is set to hit screens this August in Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Wind River’ with the third ‘Avengers’ movie coming to cinemas next April.
Buress will next be seen in the ‘Baywatch’ movie and Marvel Cinematic Universe film ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.

Pierce Brosnan denies Deadpool 2 role

OHMYGOSSIP — Pierce Brosnan has dismissed rumours he’s set to star in ‘Deadpool 2’.
The 63-year-old actor first sparked speculation he would appear in the hotly anticipated superhero sequel after the franchise’s star Ryan Reynolds and ‘Wolverine’ actor Hugh Jackman each shared a picture on social media featuring themselves with the former James Bond.
Now, Pierce has denied being a part of the movie, but has said nothing “has come his way yet”, hinting that there’s still time for a role to be offered.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, he said: “Not true. Nothing’s come my way yet. It’s completely made up. We were sitting waiting for a plane, the three of us, and the guy said, ‘Quick. Let’s get a photograph. Jump in the middle.’ Mr. Reynolds said, ‘Let’s do three wise monkeys,’ put it out there, and it went viral.”
Originally, fans speculated that Pierce would be taking on the role of Cable – a sometime friend and sometime foe to the wise-cracking anti-hero Wade Wilson – after it was confirmed the character would be appearing in the sequel.
Whilst Pierce has denied his involvement in the production, no actor has yet been confirmed for the role of Cable.
Meanwhile, director David Leitch – who will be taking over the reigns for the second instalment after Tim Miller left the franchise – has insisted he won’t be making radical changes to the “loveable” character.
He said: “I think you have to pay homage to this movie that’s so beloved. Everybody is anticipating it. And I think we have to find a way to make it distinctly our own, and we’re doing that. The DNA of Deadpool shouldn’t change. He’s such a lovable character, we’re going to carry that through.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger won't do Expendables without Sylvester Stallone

OHMYGOSSIP — Arnold Schwarzenegger won’t take part in the next ‘Expendables’ movie without Sylvester Stallone.
The 69-year-old actor was meant to be reprising his role as Trench in the fourth installment of the action film but it looks like the production is up in the air at the moment as the 70-year-old actor – who directed the first movie and starred in all three as Barney Ross – has quit the franchise.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Schwarzenegger said: “There is no ‘Expendables’ without Sly. I would never do the movie without him, no.”
However, even if bosses do manage to persuade him to take part in the fourth film, he’s adamant he’ll only accept the role if it’s written properly as he didn’t feel he added “value” to the third movie.
He explained: “You know, I think the first and second one were terrific. But, the third one, I thought my part was not written well. It was also not playing well in the movie, as far as I was concerned. Maybe other people believed differently. But I didn’t believe that I had any value in the movie. I love the franchise, by the way. I think it’s a spectacular franchise, ‘The Expendables’. I think that Sly has good ideas, what he wants to do with it, and I think if they write a really good script [in] which my part is very well-developed, I would do it. If not, then I won’t do it.”
Although it’s thought the film will begin shooting in just a few months’ time, Schwarzenegger has admitted he’s yet to be approached with the script and doesn’t know if it’ll even go ahead now.
He said: “I have not seen the script; I don’t even know if there is a script, even though they want to shoot in August again, like they usually do.”
The franchise was thrown into chaos last week when Stallone confirmed he would not return due to creative differences with Nu Image/Millennium chief Avi Lerner over the script and director.
Avi said previously: “We’ve got disagreements with Sly, but we’ve had them for over a year and a half. Right now, each one has opinion. We agreed on 95 per cent of things, but there are certain things in production we don’t agree on. I don’t think it’s over, but what write whatever you want. In my opinion, it’s not dead.”
The ‘Expendables 4’ was set to reunite series staples Stallone, Jason Statham, Schwarzenegger and Dolph Lundgren – who played Russian boxer Ivan Drago in ‘Rocky IV’.
Sylvester confirmed in January that a fourth movie was on the way, revealing that he had been hitting the gym ahead of the next instalment in the blockbuster action-thriller franchise.

Eileen Derbyshire to return to Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ veteran Eileen Derbyshire is set to return to the soap.
The 86-year-old legendary actress hasn’t been seen on screens since November 2015 when she decided to take an extended hiatus from the programme but it looks like she’s about to reprise her role as her loveable alter-ego Emily Bishop after her name appeared in the line-up of cast members set to return this autumn.
Eileen asked bosses a year-and-a-half ago if she could take a break from the soap, which she’s starred in since 1961, and it was agreed she could have six months off.
A show representative said at the time: “She’s on a break and the door is open. There hasn’t been any contact from Eileen saying she intends to leave.”
However, it soon became apparent that she wasn’t ready to reprise her role as Emily and bosses accepted that she probably wasn’t ever coming back due to her age.
A source explained: ” All of her cast mates have accepted she won’t be returning. She’s 85 and has been out of the show for a year, so she probably would have found it tough to get back into the fast pace of filming.
“That aside, Eileen’s family is her absolute priority, and she has devoted herself to them since deciding on her break last November. Of course, as far as the bosses are concerned, there will always be a place for her on the show.
“She has not told them she wants to quit, but those around her know she won’t be back. And her friends on set know she’s on the brink of retirement.”
Eileen holds an MBE for services to drama and is one of the show’s longest serving cast members, so writers are no doubt planning to give her an explosive comeback.

Nikki Grahame in talks for Celebrity Big Brother return

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Grahame is reportedly in talks to return to ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 34-year-old model rose to fame when she appeared on the popular reality show in 2006, where her temper tantrums made her a household name and eventually led to her being given her own reality show ‘Princess Nikki’ later that year.
After returning to the show for ‘Ultimate Big Brother’ in 2010 – where she finished as the runner up behind winner Brian Dowling – and again as a Time Warp housemate in 2015, Nikki has now revealed the producers of the celebrity version of the show are working on getting her back in again for the special ‘couples’ series which will see contestants head into the house in pairs.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Nikki said: “I love doing Big Brother – I will never tire of that show. I think the couple thing is a fantastic new twist.
“If I go back in, in a couple, I would have to be paired up with Brian Dowling. I would force him to share a bed with me.”
“If not Brian, it would have to be my ghetto girl Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace. The producers are on it – they love new twists every series.”
The search for couples for the upcoming series of the show comes as the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ bosses were happy with the success of Heidi and Spencer Pratt’s two stints in the house, in 2013, and the recent All Stars series, and think it would be a great idea to fill the famous abode with twosomes when the show, which is hosted by Emma Willis, returns to screens in the summer.
A source said: “It’s seriously early for anything to be set in stone but bosses are working hard on the idea and talking to the couples about big money deals to firmly secure them for the series in the summer.”
However, it isn’t just couples in relationships that bosses will be considering for the new series as The Cheeky Girls – who shot to fame on ‘Popstars: The Rivals’ in 2002 – could follow in the footsteps of fellow twins Jedward and sign up for the show.
Other names in the frame include drug mules Michaella McCollum Connolly and Melissa Reid, who were freed from jail in Peru last year, and ‘Too Fat To Work’ star Stephen Beer and his wife Michelle.

Kym Marsh had counsellor for Corrie baby death storyline

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh had a counsellor on set at all times throughout her harrowing ‘Coronation Street’ baby death storyline.
The 40-year-old actress – whose own son Archie was born 18 weeks prematurely and passed away shortly afterwards in 2009 – found it a “real help” having a professional guide her through the moments when she had a “wobble” when her on-screen alter-ego Michelle Connor gave birth to son Ruairi at just 23 weeks pregnant.
She said: “‘Coronation Street’ insisted I had a counsellow throughout the baby-loss storyline.
“I saw him for a couple of weeks prior to it and then he was on set every day throughout filming,
“I found it a real help, although I think I was fairly strong throughout the whole thing.
“There were a couple of moments when I had a bit of a wobble, but that was understandable in the circumstances.
“He did grounding exercises with me, so he would bring me back to the here and now and take me out of the situation I’d just put myself back into.
“I also had the support of my fellow cast members and crew and a great support network at home.”
Although the subject matter was very close to home, it was important to Kym – who is dating fitness trainer Matt Baker and has children David, 21, Emilie, 19, and Polly, six, from past relationships – to take on the storyline in order to “honour” Archie and make the subject less taboo.
She told Woman magazine: “My reasons for doing the storyline were to raise awareness and also to honour y son Archie. I was able to give a lot of input into the storyline and I spoke at length with the producer about my own experience.I was told right at the start that this was not something I had to do.
“I talked to my mum, who was very helpful, and she said, ‘What’s your instinct?’ and my instinct was to do it.
