Diane Lane wants interest in female perspective

OHMYGOSSIP — Diane Lane believes there needs to be more stories focusing on women told in films which are directed by women.
The ‘Unfaithful’ actress is proud of the movies she has made which have focused on female characters but most of those projects have been directed by men and she insists it’s important that more ladies get behind the camera to offer their perspective on the world.
In an interview with Deadline, she said: “I’ve often thought about the films I’ve been in that were helmed by men, written by men, filtered through the editing process of the male eye and psyche and desire factor and marketability concerns … it’s so interesting.
“I’m left with the hope and wish that there will be enough to go around. Are we asking terribly much of people to be curious and interest in the female experience from the female perspective?”
Lane, 52, stars alongside Alec Baldwin, 59, in her latest movie ‘Paris Can Wait’, which is the first feature film by Francis Ford Coppola’s wife Eleanor Coppola, who is famed for her documentary work.
In ‘Paris Can Wait’, Lane portrays Anne, the wife of inattentive film producer Michael who abandons her in Cannes and his French associate Jacques then offers to drive her to Paris.
The journey, which turns into a two-and-a-half day road trip, includes wine drinking, overnight stays at hideaways and focuses on whether or not Anne will give in to Jacques’ flirtations.
Speaking about the story, Lane said: “Americans have an interesting conundrum, a black and white line: You’re on one side or the other of Puritanism or licentiousness. But that gray area where people abide between their ears or on the internet needs to be fleshed out more in terms of permission granted. I think a lot of women are contained within the parentheses of shoulds and role-play. It’s all about entitlement and history. It’s all about upper-body strength and exacting your will.”
Lane received the Sarasota Film Festival’s Award for Cinematic Excellence for her performance in the film.
‘Paris Can Wait’ was picked up last year by Sony Pictures Classics and will be released on May 12.

Stephanie Davis drops new single

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis has dropped her first single as part of her music comeback.
The 24-year-old actress has been talking about releasing songs for some time now and fans finally got to see what she’s been working on last night (12.04.17) when she shared a link to her SoundCloud account with her new track ‘Missin’ on there.
Alongside the link shared on her Twitter account, the brunette beauty teased that she’s got more songs in the pipeline but she’s only uploading one for now.
She said: “Started a new sound cloud. Songs to upload soon. Copyright enjoy (sic).”
Fans immediately started speculating that the track was written about her on/off boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, with whom she has three-month-old son Caben, and that she had penned and recorded it shortly after they split up last year.
The brunette beauty added fuel to the fire with her description by explaining that the song is a little “outdated” now as she and the heavily-inked hunk are back together.
She said: “I’ve loved writing my own music since a young age with lyrics that are relatable. Playing piano chords a bit, working with beats and being creative. Music, is my love. Not updated but here are a few songs I wrote a while back which are now perhaps a bit dated and need refreshing. Lots more to come. (sic)”
The currently-on couple struck up a relationship last January after they met and fell in love while competing on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ but things came crashing down just five months later when the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star found out Jeremy had cheated.
She then found out a few weeks later – after their split – that she was pregnant.
The 27-year-old heartthrob spent Stephanie’s pregnancy denying that Caben was his but discovered – via a paternity test – four weeks after his birth that the little one does belong to him and he agreed to step up to the mark for his innocent child.
After getting back in contact and spending more time together, the pair decided to give their romance another go but they split up yet again just a few weeks ago.
Jeremy – who tragically lost his mother and siblings at a young age and his father and aunt earlier this year – has just agreed to do six weeks in rehab in a bid to beat his alcohol addiction and prove to Stephanie and Caben that he can change his ways.

Jenna Coleman to do Victoria 'for some time to come'

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Coleman will play the queen in ‘Victoria’ “for some time to come.”
The 30-year-old actress received rave reviews for her portrayal of the late monarch in the first instalment of the ITV period drama last year and, although she’s no doubt wanted by a number of television executives, screenwriter Daisy Goodwin is adamant that there’s still a long way to go in the story and the brunette beauty is on board.
Speaking to the RadioTimes.com, Daisy explained: “I think we’ve got quite a long way to go before we need to recast Jenna; we’re moving quite slowly through the 1840s. We haven’t even caught up with her real age, so I think Jenna will be on our screens for some time to come.”
The second series of the show went into production in February as Jenna reunited with her co-stars Tom Hughes, David Oakes, Nell Hudson and Eve Myles, to name a few, in London.
ITV bosses were given the go ahead to do another series last year – just weeks after its debut on screen last September – and a festive special this year is also in the pipeline.
And it seems there may be more series on the way as Daisy still has ideas up her sleeve that she’d like to put into a script over the next few years.
Jenna explained previously: “We’re doing season two and then it’s a question of where we go from there. There’s no shortage of story. You don’t want to go through it too quickly. There are nine children to have, so there is a long way to go.”
The brunette beauty previously admitted she was sceptical about taking on the lead role, but has now admitted that it was the story that sucked her in to the part.
She said: “People know certain things about her but the first three years of her reign haven’t been told before on screen. It’s quite modern as well. It’s about a young girl who had a huge personality and was surrounded by people who expected her to fail.
“She was the most powerful woman in the world at 18 years of age when women didn’t even have the vote. It’s got huge appeal on top of it being a true story and a great love story – and what they’ve achieved, capturing the Victorian era with beautiful set designs and costumes, has been fantastic.”

Marnie Simpson to release autobiography

OHMYGOSSIP — Marnie Simpson is set to release an autobiography this summer.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star can’t wait to give fans an insight into her childhood in Newcastle, how she dealt with fame after joining the boozy reality TV show in 2013 and sharing a few juicy secrets in her new forthcoming book ‘Stripped Bare’.
She said: “I’m so excited to be publishing my autobiography, I never dreamt that one day I’d have my own book. In ‘Stripped Bare’ I’ll be telling stories from my childhood, giving all the goss on my TV life and throwing in a few surprises as well. I can’t wait to share this with my fans and to get out on the road to meet them this summer.”
The 25-year-old beauty is also set to document her colourful love life in the publication as she opens up about her failed engagement to Ricky Rayment in 2015.
The brunette babe also enjoyed a turbulent on/off relationship with her co-star Aaron Chalmers before she struck up a romance with Lewis Bloor in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house last summer and moved in with him in Essex.
The relationship seemed to be going well until Marnie found out that the former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ had cheated on her while she was shooting ‘Geordie Shore’.
Marnie’s heartbreak with Lewis has encouraged her to date a woman next time.
The reality TV star – who came out as bisexual last year – said previously: “If I ever get into another relationship, I’ll probably go with a woman. I don’t think I’d get hurt as much as I have done with men. Girls are much more understanding.”
‘Stripped Bare’ will be released on June 1 but is available for preorder now.

Brian May says Queen biopic is set for 2018 release

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian May has revealed the Queen biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ will be released in 2018.
The band’s 69-year-old guitarist has teased that the biopic – which tell the story of the legendary band and their late great frontman Freddie Mercury – is almost finished after being in development for eight years.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he spilled: “The Freddie film is coming … sooner than you might think, next year.”
It is the first time anyone has revealed when the movie is likely to hit cinemas.
In addition he hinted that Queen could be set to rock the UK again after completing their North America tour with Adam Lambert – who provides vocals in place of Freddie who tragically died in 1991 at the age of 45 due to complications caused by AIDS.
Brian added: “We will be in America most of the summer and then probably be back around these parts at the end of the year.”
The much-anticipated movie has had a difficult journey to the big screen.
Sacha Baron Cohen was originally set to play Freddie but he left the project due to “artistic differences” over the direction of the movie.
The ‘Borat’ star claimed he quit because the surviving members of Queen – which includes drummer Roger Taylor and former member John Deacon – wanted the movie to show how the band went from “strength to strength” following the singer’s death.
Sacha, 45, said: “[Following] my first meeting, I should never have carried on because a member of the band – I won’t say who – said, ‘This is such a great movie, because such an amazing thing happens in the middle of the movie.’
“I go, ‘What happens in the middle of the movie?’ He goes, ‘Freddie dies.’ I go, ‘So you mean it’s a bit like ‘Pulp Fiction’, where the end is the middle and the middle is the end? That’s interesting.’ He goes, ‘No, no, no.’ So I said, ‘Wait a minute. What happens in the second half of the movie?’ And he said, ‘Well, we see how the band carries on from strength to strength.’ And I said, ‘Listen, not one person is going to see a movie where the lead character dies from AIDS and then you carry on to see [what happens with Queen].’ ”
Brian hit back at Sacha’s claims, claiming the actor-and-writer became an “a**e”.
The ‘We Are The Champions’ hitmaker said: “Sacha became an a**e. We had some nice times with Sacha kicking around ideas but he went off and told untruths about what happened. Why would he go away and say that we didn’t want to make a gritty film? Are we the kind of people who have ever ducked from the truth? I don’t think so.”
Instead, ‘Mr. Robot’ star Rami Malek will play the late Queen frontman, while Bryan Singer is the director.
GK Films, New Regency and Fox have teamed up to make the biopic, while ‘The Theory of Everything’ screenwriter Anthony McCarten penned the script.

Christopher Lloyd and William Shatner to star in Senior Moment

OHMYGOSSIP — Christopher Lloyd is to star in ‘Senior Moment’ with William Shatner.
The 78-year-old ‘Back to the Future’ actor is joining the 86-year-old screen legend in the romantic comedy which is to be directed by Giorgio Serafini.
According to Variety, casting director Patricia McCorkle and Lloyd’s manager Andy Freedman struck the deal for Lloyd to play the best friend of Shatner’s retired Top Gun Navy pilot who tested aircraft for NASA.
The pair get caught by police for speeding around town in a vintage convertible as cops launch a crackdown to get dangerous senior drivers off the road. The vehicle is taken away along with his licence.
The screenplay has been written by Kurt Brungardt and Christopher Momenee, meanwhile, Rene Sheridan and Gina G. Goff are producing the film.
Shooting is expected to start this spring in Palm Springs, California.
The casting news comes shortly after Lloyd revealed he has no plans to retire after five decades in the movie business.
He said: “I love working. I have no plans of retiring or anything like that, I just like doing it.”
Lloyd can currently be seen as paranormal serial killer Crowley in ‘I Am Not A Serial Killer’ and he’s got New Line comedy ‘Going in Style’ in which he stars alongside Alan Arkin, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman.
His most famous roles over the years include portraying Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown in the ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy and he portrayed Jim Ignatowski on the TV series ‘Taxi’, for which he won two Primetime Emmy Awards.
He has also lent his voice to PBS Kids animated series ‘Cyberchase’ in which he played The Hacker. This voice over role got him two Daytime Emmy Award nods.
Shatner is famed for his portrayal of James T. Kirk, Captain of the USS Enterprise, in the ‘Star Trek’ franchise and his distinctive voice has led to him having a spin-off music career.
His unique voice will next be heard providing words for a character in the animated series ‘My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic’.

Joey Essex to do Celebs Go Dating again?

OHMYGOSSIP — Joey Essex is reportedly in talks to try his luck on ‘Celebs Go Dating’ – for the third time.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star hasn’t had much luck on the matchmaking show over the past two series but he’s hoping that it will be third time lucky for him as he’s desperate to sign up to the next instalment – but is waiting on the producers’ approval.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Joey is really keen to do the show again after proving a hit on the last series. He is keen to find Mrs Right and hopes that bosses consider him.”
And the 26-year-old hunk isn’t the only member of his family who is keen to find the love of his life through the dating show as his cousin Chloe Sims – who currently stars on ‘TOWIE’ – is hoping it will lead her to the man of her dreams who she can settle down with.
The insider added: “Chloe on the other hand is totally up for going on the show and trying her chances. Now is the time for her to find Mr Right and what better way than on ‘Celebs Go Dating’.”
And it looks like the pair may be joined on the next series by ‘Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson if she gets her own way as the brunette beauty is hoping to find someone to help her get over her ex-boyfriend Lewis Bloor.
She said recently: “It’d be amazing. But right now I’m a little bit of a man hater so they would have to let me go on some dates with girls too.”
The 25-year-old bisexual reality star is feeling very hurt following the breakdown of her relationship with Lewis after he was unfaithful to her so thinks her next romance will be with another girl as she’s less likely to get her feelings trampled on.
She explained: “If I ever get into another relationship, I’ll probably go with a woman.
“I don’t think I’d get hurt as much as I have done with men. Girls are much more understanding.”

Kim Woodburn likes lettuce spanking

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Woodburn likes being spanked with lettuce leaves.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star has admitted she likes spicing up her sex life with her husband Peter Woodburn, whom she married in 1979, and her favourite kinky move at the moment is being whipped across her bare bottom with the limp vegetable.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I’m into lettuce leaves at the moment for a little smack on the bum, it’s rather nice you know.”
The ‘How Clean is Your House?’ presenter may be 74 and her husband is 78 but she’s adamant she doesn’t let their ages stop them from getting it on in the bedroom.
She explained: “I weigh a lot, I weigh a ton, but my husband throws me about he’s a very physical man, I’ve got no complaints in that department!”
Meanwhile, the professional cleaner, who hasn’t released a tome since 2006’s ‘Unbeaten’ based on her brutal childhood, recently admitted she’s toying with the idea of penning her own “mucky book” called ‘There’s Nothing Dirty In A Clean Bit of Filth’ to rival erotic novel ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.
She said at the time “I’m 50 shades of Filth! I’m thinking of writing a mucky book and I would call it ‘There’s Nothing Dirty In A Clean Bit of Filth!'”
And it’s not just risqué author she’d like to add to her curriculum vitae as Kim is also open to the idea of getting frisky on the phone if her work starts to dry up.
After knocking back a number of alcoholic beverages while taking part in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in January, Kim’s co-star Nicola McLean – who used to be a glamour model – told her part-time enemy: “You’d do really well on the sex line.”
Kim replied: “If television work doesn’t come in after this I’ll be on the b****y sex line!”
And Bianca Gascoigne – who is a glamour model and works as a manager at a strip club in London – said she thinks Kim would be “brilliant” because “some men like that dominatrix type of sound.”

Doctor Who writer dreamed of creating Harry Potter crossover episode

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Doctor Who’ bosses have a storyline that would pair the Time Lord with Harry Potter.
The idea was originally developed by former show writer Russell T Davies, who wanted the boy wizard to make an appearance in the 2008 Christmas special – but the ambition has subsequently been left on the shelf.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Who knows if it will ever see the light of day? But the idea alone is amazing in itself.
“Combining two massive franchises like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Doctor Who’ would be incredible.”
Davies’ plan would have seen Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling contract a space bug that brought her characters to life.
The Doctor would have then battled Rowling’s baddies in order to return them to the sphere of fiction once again.
Originally, Davies – who in 2007 got pop star Kylie Minogue to appear in the Christmas special – asked the acclaimed author to write an episode of the sci-fi show, but she rejected the offer.
In a leaked email, he said: “Reflecting we can’t possibly get someone to star in next year’s Christmas special who’s as famous as Kylie, I thought, don’t ask JK to write a Dr Who, ask her to be in a Dr Who!”
And, crucially, Davies’ plan failed to receive backing from the then-Doctor David Tennant.
Davies admitted: “We’ve got to keep him happy.”
Meanwhile, Steven Moffat, the current showrunner on the programme, who is leaving after the new series, admitted he is aware of Davies’ ambition.
However, Moffat also suggested he wasn’t interested in revisiting the idea.
He said: “It exists on a hard drive somewhere – but you’ll have to ask Russell because that was in his time.”

Nathan Massey films for The Only Way Is Essex alone

OHMYGOSSIP — Nathan Massey is reportedly filming for ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ on his own, following his split from Cara De La Hoyde.
The ‘Love Island’ champion was originally thought to be appearing on the ITVBe reality show with Cara, but after their pair recently went their separate ways it is believed Nathan will now make a solo appearance.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Nathan was looking for something to take his mind off the split and ‘TOWIE’ has been the perfect project. He loves appearing on the show and hopes that this time it could be something a bit long term.”
Previously, the pair had made cameo appearances on the reality show in 2016 and again last month, and it was reported that the two of them were set to become permanent cast members in the future.
Nathan and Cara joined their friends Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet to celebrate at an Irish-themed party ahead of St. Patrick’s Day last month, which set tongues wagging about the pair becoming a permanent fixture on the programme.
It is unknown at the time of writing whether Cara still intends to be a part of the show, as she could be filming scenes at a later date.
The news comes after it was revealed last week that the former couple – who struck up a relationship in July last year when they met inside the infamous ‘Love Island’ villa – had decided to call time on their relationship after a series of “silly rows” made it impossible for them to continue to stay together.
A source said at the time: “They’ve both mutually agreed to call it quits. It hasn’t been an easy decision but in the end they decided things would be better apart. They stayed really amicable and will definitely do all they can to be friendly.”

Scott Eastwood plays down comparisons with Paul Walker

OHMYGOSSIP — Scott Eastwood doesn’t see himself as a replacement for Paul Walker in ‘The Fate of the Furious’.
The 31-year-old hunk stars in the latest instalment in the money-spinning movie franchise, but Scott doesn’t think he’s filling the shoes of Walker, who died in a single-vehicle collision in 2013, while he was in the middle of filming ‘Furious 7’.
Scott said: “In no way am I replacing Paul. My role isn’t even like that. My guy is the stickler for the rules rookie.
“Paul was a very close friend of mine so I thought this was a great way to reconnect, I guess. Becoming part of something that was a part of his life. And being around people who were talking about him.”
Meanwhile, Scott has also rubbished talk of on-set animosity between Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who previously hinted he did not see eye-to-eye with Vin.
Scott said that despite the array of big-name stars appearing in the movie – such as Jason Statham and Kurt Russell – the cast got along surprisingly well.
He told the Irish Times newspaper: “Everybody gets along, which is crazy because, as you say, there’s a lot of testosterone. All those guys are huge stars. All those guys are huge. You’ve seen them. The Rock is a big boy. But everybody is really nice. And really nice to each other.”
By contrast, co-star Michelle Rodriguez recently admitted filming ‘Fate of the Furious’ without Walker had been difficult.
She shared: “It was hard to move on without him. He is the essence of why we were excited to come on-board because he kept that childhood excitement about that realm and following through in what we were doing.
“He’s a big part of the family, but at the end of the day, we have a big responsibility, and it’s a global one so we gotta keep on trucking.”

Sterling K. Brown: The Predator has a wicked sense of humour

OHMYGOSSIP — Sterling K. Brown says ‘The Predator’ has a “wicked sense of humour”.
The 41-year-old actor is set to play the role of an as yet unnamed government agent in the upcoming fourth instalment of the popular sci-fi franchise, and although the cast have been asked to remain tight lipped about the production, he has admitted it is “very different” from the original 1987 feature.
He told Entertainment Weekly magazine: “Shane [Black, the director] has his whole take on it and it’s very different than the original Predator. It’s got a really wicked sense of humour to it, which I love about it. And it’s got a real camaraderie amongst the main characters that I think folks will be attracted to. That’s pretty much all I can say.”
As of the time of writing, little else is known about the movie except the members of the main cast, which will also include the likes of Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, Edward James Olmos, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Thomas Jane, and Alfie Allen.
‘Logan’ star Boyd is taking the lead on the feature, after Benicio Del Toro was originally in talks for the role, but was forced to quit after scheduling conflicts made it impossible for him to continue as part of the cast.
Shane Black’s directorial role comes after he previously starred in the 1987 original as Rick Hawkins, who was the first to die at the hands of the titular character.
The original motion picture was directed by John McTiernan and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as soldier Major Alan ‘Dutch’ Schaefer, who was hunted by an alien monster in the jungle along with his squad of commandos.
Meanwhile, Black has already revealed the main character’s name in his ‘Predator’ movie will be Quinn McKenna.
He said: “The hero of the film, the name I’ve given the guy, is Quinn McKenna. Quinn McKenna. Rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?”
‘Predator’ is scheduled for a February 2018 release date.

Amy Childs to hire breastfeeding specialist

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Childs has hired someone to help her breastfeed her baby.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star is due to give birth to her daughter – her first child – later this month and is so determined to give her little girl the best start in life that she’s enlisted the help of a medical professional to teach how how to feed her.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “I’m 37 weeks now and feel like I could go into labour any minute! I’m really struggling. I feel tired all day, I can’t stop yawning and my back… OMG! I had a midwife appointment last week and we went through my birth plan … I’m really hoping I can have a water birth and use some of my my hypnobirthing breathing techniques.
“I just need to remember they’re not contractions, they’re surges. I’ve also decided to hire someone to help me breastfeed in the first few days. I’m worried I won’t know if I’m doing it right and I don’t want to get stressed, because apparently the baby picks up on that. So I’ll feel better if someone could come and help me.”
The 26-year-old beauty may be about to pop but she’s certainly not slowing down as she’s just opened up her new boutique and salon Beauty and Boutique.
She said: “I’ve had a busy week opening my new boutique and salon – Beauty and Boutique! There was planning permission to change the office above the salon into apartments so we’ve moved to the boutique to avoid building work. With all that’s happened with my employee stealing money, it means we can keep a close eye on things, so it’s better it’s all in one place. It looks great! I’m not gonna lie, it’s made me extra tired – my dad said I looked knackered! – but it’s my business so I wanted to get stuck in and make sure it’s up and running before I give birth.”

Sienna Miller will star in The Private Life of a Modern Woman

OHMYGOSSIP — Sienna Miller is set to star in ‘The Private Life of a Modern Woman’.
The 35-year-old actress has been cast in James Toback’s upcoming drama alongside Alec Baldwin and Charles Grodin, and the cast have already filmed the entire production in secret, which is currently being edited by the 72-year-old filmmaker.
And the creative mastermind has praised the golden-haired beauty – who has four-year-old daughter Marlowe with her former partner Tom Sturridge – for her acting ability, as he never knew she had as many “brilliantly calibrated nuances” in her.
Speaking about the New York-born star to the New York Post’s Page Six Column, Toback said: “She is astonishing. I’m editing now and every day I’m discovering a new set of brilliantly calibrated nuances in her performance.”
Miller will also appear in the film alongside Oliver ‘Power’ Grant, who will portray Rameesh, whilst Nick Mathews and John Prescod will also feature in the project.
Alan Helene, Michael Mailer, Martin Tuchman and Valda Witt were on hand to produce the project, with co-producers Mike Donovan and Scott Kluge, whilst Angela Ceccio and Alessandro Penazzi executive produced the project.
Toback has revealed he is on a tight deadline to complete the project by July, although it is reportedly scheduled for release later this year or in 2018.
He explained: “I wish I could experiment with it indefinitely — but I have a deadline in July.”
Miller’s representative has confirmed the ‘Burnt’ star’s role in the movie, however the star has kept details of her latest venture close to her chest.
And Miller has had a busy few weeks as she has been cast in ‘The Burning Woman’, which will see her portray Christina Hendricks in the thriller, as well as a new theatre production of ‘Cat On A Hot Tin Roof’.

Jools Holland wants Stevie Wonder to guest star on Later … Live with Jools Holland

OHMYGOSSIP — Jools Holland would love for Stevie Wonder to guest star on the 50th anniversary series of ‘Later … Live with Jools Holland’.
The 59-year-old musician is set to celebrate the shows milestone, and although he believes he has been “incredibly lucky” with the artists who have performed on the programme, he hopes one day he will be able to pin down the ‘Superstition’ hitmaker and book him to wow the audience on his musical programme in the future as he has “never” been in the country when Jools has previously invited him.
Speaking in an interview with Sara Cox on BBC Radio Two’s breakfast show on Tuesday (11.04.17), the television presenter said: “I have been incredibly lucky – I have had the best job in the world doing this. I think we’ve had most people on … It would have been nice to have had Bach, perhaps maybe Diana Washington, but I think, with the living, we’ve done pretty well.
“Stevie Wonder we haven’t had on, only because he’s never been in the country at the right time. But largely we’ve had everyone. Sometimes we’ve had people and I don’t think they even knew they were on themselves.”
‘Later … with Jools Holland’ debuted in 1992 and today’s episode will mark the first instalment as part of it’s 50th anniversary series, as well as its 25th year on air, and will see musicians, including The XX and Jamiroquai take to the stage, whilst ‘Castle on the Hill’ hitmaker Ed Sheeran will perform in the following weeks.
And the pianist believes the mix of various artists on the show has contributed to the programmes longevity and success.
He explained: “I think that’s the great thing with the show because there’s always different people … seeing the artists in that room watching one another … and then becoming friends and having their ears and minds opened to other styles of music.
“The great thing is that you’re never quite sure what’s going to happen
“How are they [Stormzy and Blondie] going to get on? That’s the thing, if people do get on, that’s one of the things that makes the show unique. It’s the mix of people in the room … you want old legends of music and you want brand new people. We try to have that mix every week.”
‘Later.. Live with Jools Holland’ will air the 50th eight-part series on BBC Two on Tuesday at 10pm.

Coleen Nolan claims that a dead Reggie Kray was obsessed with Alfie Moon

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan has bizarrely claimed that Reggie Kray was obsessed with her ex-husband Shane Richie’s ‘EastEnders’ character Alfie Moon – even though the notorious gangster died two years before he joined the show.
During her appearance on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (11.04.17), the former Nolans singer told her fellow panellists that the 60s East End organised crime boss was a fan of Shane’s cheeky chappy alter ego in the BBC One soap and tried to get in contact with him.
During the conversation about real crime being used for entertainment purposes, Coleen also claimed that Reggie – who ruled London’s underworld with his twin brother Ronnie – sent two drawings to the former couple’s sons Shane Jr. and Jake.
However, it seems that 52-year-old Coleen is confused as Reggie died on 1 October 2000 at the age of 66 and Alfie didn’t arrive in Walford until 21 November 2002.
During the chat, Coleen said: “Reggie Kray, when Shane was playing Alfie Moon in ‘EastEnders’, he loved that character – he used to try and get in touch with Shane and all of that to speak to him.
“He sent me two drawings for Shane [junior] and Jake – he drew two pictures for them. People have asked me if I still have them as they’d be worth a fortune but I ripped them up.”
Coleen couldn’t have got Reggie mixed up with Ronnie as he passed away on 17 March 1995 at the age of 61 when he had a heart attack at the Prison Hospital at Broadmoor Hospital, the high-security unit where he was being held for his crimes.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner also claimed she once had lunch with the Kray Twins’ older brother Charlie Kray.
She said: “I once had lunch with Charlie Kray, he was with a beautiful woman and he was very enigmatic. I was invited to have lunch with him again the next week but I didn’t go and I never saw him again, I didn’t feel comfortable with it.”
