Chris Evans wants Black Widow movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Evans wants Black Widow to get a standalone movie.
The 35-year-old actor has become a household name for his portrayal of the superhero Captain America, and has said the time has come for fellow Marvel character Black Widow – who is played by Scarlett Johansson in the ensemble movie series ‘Avengers’ – to get her own movie.
Asked by Elle magazine why he thinks there has yet to be any announcements about a Black Widow movie, the ‘Captain America: Civil War’ star said: “That’s a good question. It would really just clean up, wouldn’t it? Scarlett [Johansson] is so good at everything she does. She’s played such a crucial part in the other films. She always makes her presence so felt – even when there are 50 different superheroes running around onscreen. I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens at some point in the future. I’m sure Scarlett would be open to it.”
Chris’ comments come after Scarlett, 32, said in February that she had “talked” to Marvel boss Kevin Feige about the possibility of giving Natasha Romanoff and her crime fighting alter-ego a standalone movie.
She said at the time: “I’ve talked to Kevin Feige about it. We’re creatively really compatible. I think we both agree that the character is right for a standalone, it’s just a case of timing at this point for both Marvel and myself.”
However, Scarlett added that Marvel’s “really huge roster” of planned projects could prove difficult to work with.
She said: “Marvel has a really huge roster. They’re looking four years ahead. I also have a lot of things that I want to do. If I did it, I would dedicate myself completely to making it amazing. It would have to be the best version that movie could possibly be. Otherwise, I would never do it.”
And the blonde beauty also admitted that she isn’t sure she has the “capacity” to take on her own movie, but notes the project has the potential to be “awesome”.
She added: “[I] don’t know if I have the capacity for it. I think the fans were adamant about it, it could be done. It should be done, probably. It’d have to be done the right way, though. It’d really have to be its own standalone and its own style and its own story. But there’s a lot of great stuff that you could do with it. It could just be awesome.”

Josh Brolin cast as Cable in Deadpool 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Josh Brolin has been cast as Cable in ‘Deadpool 2’.
The 49-year-old actor is set to star opposite Ryan Reynolds in the eagerly-awaited Marvel movie, having seen off competition from the likes of Michael Shannon and David Harbour to land the coveted role.
Hollywood heavyweights Russell Crowe and Brad Pitt were also linked to the part of Cable, but Josh has been handed a four-film deal by the studio, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Josh’s on-screen character was co-created by ‘Deadpool’ co-creator Rob Liefeld and writer Louise Simonson, and has previously been described as being the antithesis of the movie’s central character.
Interestingly, Josh already plays Thanos in the Marvel Studios movies and is set to appear in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ in 2018.
And having picked up a second role with the studio, his soon-to-be co-star Ryan has joked about the unusual scenario on Twitter.
The 40-year-old star quipped: “The f**k, Fox! You can’t play 2 characters in the same universe!! Josh Brolin was in Sicario and I was in Sabrina The Teenage Witch. (sic)”
Despite the success of the first ‘Deadpool’ movie in 2016, the sequel has experienced a number of problems, one of which has included Tim Miller leaving his job as the director.
Ryan – whose performance in the original movie was widely praised – previously admitted he was disappointed to see Tim leave the franchise.
He said: “All I can really add is that I’m sad to see him off the film.Tim’s brilliant and nobody worked harder on ‘Deadpool’ than he did.”
Tim has subsequently been replaced by David Leitch and ‘Deadpool 2’ is scheduled for release in 2018.

Alesha Dixon can't have 'real' conversation with BGT judges

OHMYGOSSIP — Alesha Dixon finds it “quite difficult” to have a “real” conversation with her ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ co-judges.
The 38-year-old singer treasures the rare quiet moments she gets with Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell and David Walliams because the auditions for the show are usually so hectic, they rarely get the chance to speak properly.
She said: “I wouldn’t say I’ve learnt anything new [about the other judges] but I do feel like I’m getting to know them even more.
“To get the opportunity to have a real conversation with one of them is actually quite difficult because from the moment we’re together it’s lights, camera, action.
“There are always so many people around, so it’s rare to get those moments when you can really just get on a level with each other.
“So when we do, I really appreciate those moments, I love asking questions about their lives.
“I love having conversations with them – they have amazing stories to tell and those stories are never old.”
Because the quartet have worked together for so long, Alesha feels they are all able to be more outrageous with their humour now.
She told OK! magazine: “We always pick up from where we left off and it’s been amazing.
“Now we know each other better, we can push the boundaries more with the jokes.”
And Alesha – who has three-year-old daughter Azura with partner Azuka Ononye – enjoys the unpredictability of sitting next to David during the auditions.
She said: “He’s very unpredictable. He makes my day really interesting because you don’t know what he’s going to do or say.”

Ludacris to front new series of Fear Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Ludacris is set to front a new series of ‘Fear Factor’.
The ‘Get Back’ hitmaker will host the revival of the much-loved show, which will see contestants perform a number of terrifying stunts, as well as executive produce.
He said: “I am excited to kick off my partnership with MTV, starting with the relaunch of ‘Fear Factor’ which will be even more insane and ludicrous than what you remember. This will be the first of many great projects together!”
MTV have ordered 12 one-hour episodes, premiering on the channel on Tuesday, May 30 at 10 pm.
Chris McCarthy, president, MTV, VH1 and Logo, added: “MTV is about celebrating youth culture, and with the reinvented ‘Fear Factor,’ we are putting the power in our audience’s hands to face and overcome their biggest fears.
“We are thrilled to partner with Ludacris, one of the biggest global stars who has a rich history with MTV, to energize this franchise for a whole new generation.”
The show – which previously ran for seven seasons on NBC, fronted by Joe Rogan – was plagued with its own share of controversy for some of the gruesome trials the contestants had to endure but McCarthy insists the new series will be “testing physical, mental and emotional strength”.
He added to The Hollywood Reporter: “Fear Factor is one of the iconic franchises that people still talk about, and it continues to resonate within culture. With so much change in the world, young people have a rising sense of anxiety. Our reinvented Fear Factor was designed to directly tackle this, and empower the audience to face their fears head on and overcome them in a fun, spirited way …
“We are updating the challenges that will include fresh physical stunts and mental challenges, relevant to today’s culture. Each episode will provide contestants the platform to test their physical, emotional and mental strength, as well as the opportunity to overcome their biggest fears. No two episodes will be alike. We’re not about grossing out for gross out sake. This is an adrenaline-filled show that is about testing physical, mental and emotional strength, as well as the ability to overcome our biggest fears.”

Jude Law to play Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Jude Law will play a young Dumbledore in the ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ sequel.
The 44-year-old actor has been cast in the role – which was originally played by Richard Harris and Michael Gambon in the ‘Harry Potter’ film franchise – in the hotly-anticipated movie, which also stars Eddie Redmayne in the lead role.
Director David Yates said: “Jude Law is a phenomenally talented actor whose work I have long admired, and I’m looking forward to finally having the opportunity to work with him. I know he will brilliantly capture all the unexpected facets of Albus Dumbledore as J.K. Rowling reveals this very different time in his life.”
And Toby Emmerich, president and chief content officer of Warner Bros. Pictures, added: “As fans ourselves, we are thrilled to have Jude Law joining the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ cast, playing a character so universally adored. Jude has been a member of the Warner Bros. family for years and we’re excited to embark on this new adventure with him.”
It comes after J.K Rowling teased the script for the sequel.
Taking to Twitter, she shared a photo of a document which contained the typed words “written by J.K. Rowling” alongside snippets of the text “confidential” and “Warner Bros. Pictures” – the studio which is responsible for bringing the magical movie to the big screen.
And Rowling further whipped fans into a frenzy of excitement by captioning the image: “Having a Beastly day.”
It has been confirmed that Johnny Depp will be making an appearance as dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald in the movie, with shooting on the project due to begin in August in London and Paris.
In November last year, Rowling teased she had found her Dumbledore.
She said: “I have, of course, thought about this. I do have a name. I do have someone in mind, but I can’t say it. Because if that person doesn’t get cast, then the person who does get cast will blame me forever for having said it, won’t they? So, I’m going to just keep quiet. If it is that person then you will know about it.”
The first sequel to ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ is slated for release in November 2018.

X Factor judges to stay the same

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has confirmed the judging line-up for the 2017 series of ‘The X Factor’ will be the same as 2016’s panel.
The 57-year-old music mogul – the boss of the pop star search show – has announced that Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and himself will all be returning this year.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper on Wednesday (12.04.17), Simon made the announcement ahead of the judges’ auditions for the ITV reality show which take place later this year.
He said: “I don’t think for the moment we’d want to make any changes. It worked on ‘X Factor’ last year and the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ panel works really well.
“There’s always room to come up with new ideas for shows but you’ve got to look at the whole landscape.
“It’s a crowded market but there’s always room for something new if it’s a good idea.”
The news will be well received by fans as speculation was rife that Sharon might step away from the show after she suffered a back injury, while Nicole, who replaced Rita Ora last year and saw her act Matt Terry be crowned the 2016 ‘X Factor’ winner, is planning a return to music which could have meant she was not free to sit on the panel.
Louis made a return to the panel in 2016 after he was replaced the previous year by Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw.
Simon also confirmed that he has no plans to change the judging panel of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ either – with Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon each keeping their seats behind the buzzers, along with hosts Ant and Dec.
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ returns on ITV on Saturday night (15.04.17).

Maya Jama joins Cannonball presenting team

OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama has joined the presenting line-up for ITV’s ‘Cannonball’.
The brunette beauty has been announced as one of the hosts of the new primetime water-based gameshow, which will air before ‘The X Factor’, alongside pop star Frankie Bridge, Radzi Chinyanganya, comedian Ryan Hand and Freddie Flintoff.
Taking to her Twitter account on Wednesday (12.04.17), Maya teased just moments before the announcement went live online: “SO EXCITED TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO SHARE THE NEWS THAT HAS HAD ME SKIPPING EVERYWHERE (sic)”
She then followed it up with the tweet: “I am going to be presenting the brand new @ITV show #cannonball !!!! Prime time innnnaaa thissssssss (sic)”
News of the new challenge show was first announced in February, when it was reported that bosses at the popular broadcaster were looking to emulate the success of their current physicality-based challenge show ‘Ninja Warrior UK’ and rival broadcaster BBC’s bonkers ‘Total Wipeout’, which was axed in 2013.
‘Cannonball’ will see contestants compete in a variety of water-based tasks, and will include entertaining challenges such as attempting the highest and longest jumps possible from water slides whilst wearing fancy dress.
The programme is being shot in Valetta, Malta, in late April, so hopeful applicants aren’t put off by the idea of getting into freezing cold water.
Freddie explained: “What’s not to love about this show: Gallons of water and giant great inflatable slides are the perfect recipe for some spectacular comedy moments but also throw into the mix some truly incredible feats from the contestants.”

Dan Edgar and Amber Turner have split up

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Edgar and Amber Turner have reportedly split up after just one month of dating.
The ‘The Only way Is Essex’ hunk embarked on a brief romance with the golden-haired beauty but swiftly called time on things because he was “less than impressed” by the newcomer’s behaviour on the programme, which saw her row with Chloe Meadows and Georgia Kousoulou in previous episodes.
Speaking about the handsome reality star – who dated Kate Wright on the show – a source told The Sun Online: “Amber and Dan have decided to go their separate ways after dating for the last month. Dan has been less than impressed by the way Amber has handled herself since going on the show. He’s been reading fan comments on Twitter and feels as though he’s been let down by her behaviour.”
The duo’s love life started heating up when the pair jetted to Tenerife with the rest of the cast to film the 20th season of the popular ITVBe show, where it is believed they shared a kiss whilst Amber was still in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend Jamie Reed, whom she had dated for almost five years.
The programme has closely documented Amber’s confession to her former flame, which saw her admit she had cheated on him with Dan during the vacation that continued after she returned from the sunny Spanish island.
Despite numerous attempts to deny her secret meetings with Dan, Amber eventually called time on her romance with Jamie.
Although the 23-year-old star ditched Jamie to “pursue her feelings” for the 26-year-old lothario, it is believed their brief relationship was never going to be “serious”.
The source explained: “They weren’t serious to begin with but Amber did end her relationship with Jamie to pursue her feelings for Dan.”
Whilst Dan and Amber have called time on their love life, Jamie’s relationship with his new girlfriend Jade Lewis is “going well”.
The insider said: “Jamie has since moved on with new girlfriend Jade Lewis and their romance is going well.”

Sophie Turner to join the cast of Time Freak

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner is set to star in ‘Time Freak’.
The 21-year-old actress – who rose to fame playing Sansa Stark in ‘Game of Thrones’ – will appear alongside Hugo’s Asa Butterfield, Skyler Gisondo, Will Peltz, Aubrey Reynolds and Jillian Joy in the sci-fi romantic comedy.
According to Deadline, Turner is to portray the character of Debbie who is the girlfriend of Stillman, played by Butterfield.
‘Time Freak’ marks the directorial debut of Andrew Bowler and is inspired by the Oscar-nominated short of the same name, in which the story follows the dramas of physics student Stillman, who is heartbroken when his girlfriend ends their relationship.
In a bid to win Debbie back, he builds a time machine and takes his best friend Evan, played by Gisonodo, back in time with him so he can revisit his mistakes and put them right again.
In order to get the project off the ground, director Andrew Bowler and producer Gigi Causey invested all their savings into making a short around the idea. That short went on to win an Oscar nomination and as a result, QC Entertainment and Rhodes Entertainment got on board in association with Beach Pictures to produce and finance the full length feature film which is currently under production in Salt Lake City.

John Simm to have major role in new Doctor Who series

OHMYGOSSIP — John Simm’s return as The Master in ‘Doctor Who’ is set to be a major part of the plot of the new series.
The actor is making his return to the BBC One sci-fi show after first portraying the evil Time Lord in 2007 in the final three episodes of Series 3 – ‘Utopia’, ‘The Sound of Drums’ and ‘Last of the Time Lords’ – when he battled Tenth Doctor David Tennant.
Simm then came back at the end of 2009 for Tennant’s farewell story ‘The End of Time’ making his final appearance in the role on New Year’s Day in 2010 as Tennant regenerated into Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith.
It was announced last week that Simm would be reprising his role as The Master opposite the next regeneration of the time traveller Missy – played by Michelle Gomez, the first woman to portray the villain – and Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi in his final series.
‘Doctor Who’ executive producer Brian Minchin has now teased that viewers will be seeing a lot more of Simm than they perhaps initially thought as he spent weeks filming his scenes in Cardiff, Wales.
He told RadioTimes.com: “We kept it a secret because people in Cardiff are very kind. Simm was there for quite a few weeks, he was actually filming on the streets and nobody saw him and he was in the studio … We were so thrilled by the idea of it, we were delight because John loves ‘Doctor Who’ and he loves the whole world of it, so when he heard what Steven Moffatt is planning he was so excited. It was brilliant to have him on set – he’s a real joy to have around.”
The BBC had tried to keep Simm’s return under wraps but Minchin is pleased the news got out as it has created a massive buzz for the programme’s return, which sees Pearl Mackie as new companion Bill Potts.
He added: “When people heard Simm was back they were excited and they were happy, so I’d be a bit churlish to be complaining about that. One of the things about ‘Doctor Who’ is we’re a show people like to find out news about, and that they like to get excited about and that’s a good thing really. It’d be a bit mean-spirited to whinge about that. The story of Bill and the Doctor is going to take some very surprising turns things are gonna happen to the Doctor that have never happened to him before and Matt Lucas is going to surprise you as well in his character, what you see from him. And we’re building to the most amazing finale ever.”
‘Doctor Who’ returns on Saturday (15.04.17) at 7:30pm with ‘The Pilot’.

Mark Wright quits The Dengineers

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wright has quit his presenting duties on ‘The Dengineers’.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ hunk fronted the kids’ television series alongside Lauren Layfield for two years but has announced on Twitter today (12.04.17) that after an “extremely hard decision” he will no longer feature on the CBBC show.
He wrote: “After an extremely hard decision. I have decided to leave the show THE DENGINEERS I have been hosting for the last 2 years.
“I had such an amazing time doing this show and met so many amazing people on my journey. Thanks to everyone @Cbbc for this incredible opportunity.
“Il continue watching the show I am so proud of, a show I loved doing and a show I will never forget.@cbbc let’s hope it wins more awards (sic)”
Although he’s only just announced the news, bosses at the channel have wasted no time finding someone to replace the 30-year-old hunk as they’ve brought in former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Joe Tracini, who’s best known for playing Dennis Savage between 2011 and 2014, and he’s over the moon with his recent signing.
He explained: “I’m over the moon to be joining the Dengineers team.
“I’m excited about travelling the country, meeting the deserving kids and their families and building some amazing dens.”
Mark’s departure comes as somewhat of a surprise as it was thought last year that he was taking the programme to the US after signing a deal with the Discovery Family.
However, although he’s remaining tight-lipped on why he’s walked away from the children’s show, Jamie O’Hara hinted earlier this week that Mark could be about to play football for Billericay Town after he bought a 20 per cent stake in the club.
Jamie told The Sun newspaper: “Mark wants to be involved with the club as much as possible. He has talked about maybe playing. I think he’s desperate to get down here. He’s very capable of playing at a professional level and he should play as much as he can because he loves it. I think he was close to making it as a pro.”

Nina Wadia chose US over EastEnders return

OHMYGOSSIP — Nina Wadia was asked to return to ‘EastEnders’ last year – but she rejected the offer.
The 47-year-old actress portrayed busybody Zainab Masood in the long-running soap between 2007 and 2013 and was asked by bosses while she was tied filming a pilot for NBC Universal if she’d be open to reprising her role temporarily but, of course, her shooting commitments across the pond meant that she had to turn down the chance.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ on Wednesday (12.04.17), Nina, who’s character was written out of the show following a move to Pakistan, said: “They [BBC bosses] did last year, actually they did (ask me to return to ‘EastEnders’) but I was doing a pilot out in the states and I said I couldn’t do it, I’m still waiting to hear on that [pilot].
She explained the pilot is a comedy called ‘Champions’ and is written by Charlie Grandy of ‘Saturday Night Live’ and Mindy Kaling who has the ‘The Mindy Project’.
She explained: “I play a Persian nail salon owner who is an absolute piece of work, I love her. I will know in about seven weeks (if I’ve got the part).”
But she admitted that if she does land the role, she doesn’t know how she will juggle her family life with work as she has two children Tia, 13, and Aidan, 10, to care for.
She added: “I didn’t think it through. I genuinely don’t know what I’m going to do with my family, my life or anything.”
And, although all of the Masood family have since left ‘EastEnders’, Nina hasn’t ruled out a return to Albert Square in the near future as the door has been left open for her.
She teased: “You never say never in this business.”
Meanwhile, Nina is about to hit screens this week when her romantic comedy film ‘Finding Fatimah’, in which she portrays Khadija, is released.
She said: “It’s a lovely, feel good RomCom…It’s set in the British Muslim community and is about a young guy who is divorced and looking for his next wife. It’s an opportunity for him to break that stigma, and I play his mum, of course, I always play the mum, and she’s a widow who is also looking for someone on this same website.”
‘Finding Fatimah’ is out in cinemas on Friday (14.04.17).

Frank Skinner and Jonathan Ross to present new gameshow

OHMYGOSSIP — Frank Skinner and Jonathan Ross will be the team captains on a new gameshow.
The presenters have agreed to join ‘Don’t Ask Me Ask Britain’ – an ITV show will have the two teams guessing how the nation votes on a series of topics from morals to politics – as the leaders in the forthcoming series fronted by Alexander Armstrong.
Speaking to the Radio Times Online, Jonathan, 56, said: “I’m thrilled to be involved with the show. I love the idea of using the latest technology to get to the heart of the matter. I am nosey enough to want to know what the rest of the country thinks about things from big political questions to those small challenges we face every day.”
The programme is made up of six one-hour long episodes as ‘Pointless’ star Alexander learns what the viewers at home by using a direct line via the app.
Alexander said: “This is going to be a totally unique broadcasting experience – one where the outcomes of every round rest entirely in the hands of our audience who participate in real time.
“We’re effectively harnessing the voting public like never before to get instant referendums on the questions that really count: what is the sexiest regional accent and what to do when you block the toilet at a dinner party: the big stuff.”
Questions will range from how many affairs are acceptable in marriage? to do you think we should have another Scottish Referendum? and commissioner Asif Zubairy thinks, although they’re serious topics, the format will be enlightening and funny.
Mike Benson, from production company Chalkboard, added: “Following hot on the heels of Brexit and the US election, the show and app allows us to effectively hold 10 entertainment referendums per night.
“The viewers can tell us how they feel live, unfiltered and as one voice.”
‘Don’t Ask Me Ask Britain’ will hit television screens from Tuesday (18.04.17).

Liam 'Gatsby' Blackwell dating Swedish model?

OHMYGOSSIP — The Only Way is Essex’s Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell is dating a Swedish model.
The reality TV star was left devastated earlier this month when he was dumped by his co-star Chloe Sims following a few months of dating, but it doesn’t look like he was heartbroken for long as he’s now romancing beauty queen Isabella Cirinski.
A source told The Sun Online: “It’s very early days between Liam and Isabella but they get on really well and are seeing how it pans out.
“It’s about time Liam had some happiness and Isabella is the perfect woman. It’s not hard to see why Liam’s keen on her – she’s gorgeous.”
The hunk set tongues wagging last week when he uploaded a photograph of him and Isabella – who lives in Los Angeles, California – at a celebrity event in London.
The news will unlikely sit well with Chloe as just two weeks ago Liam was saying how “no girl compares” to her and expressing how determined he was to get her back.
However, Chloe – who has 11-year-old daughter Madison from a previous relationship – recently told her friends Bobby Norris and Gemma Collins that she thought their romance had now ruined their friendship because their split was somewhat awkward.
She said: “Am I not allowed to continue with my life and my friends?
“I’m single, I can do what I want. It’s gone on too long now. It’s destroyed any friendship between me and Liam. We don’t even talk now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Hartley has joined ‘Bad Moms Christmas’.
The ‘This Is Us’ star is to play Ty Swindle, a handsome firefighter by day who doubles as a stripper by night, in the sequel to the 2016 comedy movie ‘Bad Moms’, which proved to be a hit at the box office.
