Ex on the Beach filming stopped due to illness

OHMYGOSSIP — Filming of ‘Ex on the Beach’ has halted after a mystery illness hit several cast members.
The MTV show’s staff were forced to fly all the stars back home from shooting on the Indonesian island of Bali after the sickness spread, according to The Sun Online.
The reality show sees eight singletons meet in an attempt to find love, with a twist that five of them are faced with their exes in a bid to either get back together or get payback.
Series seven of the programme was confirmed after ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestant Jeremy McConnell signed up for the series.
The 27-year-old love rat was dropped from the show after he was arrested on suspicion of assaulting the mother of his son Stephanie Davis.
However, now it has been revealed that Steph’s ex-boyfriend Sam Reece, 24, has signed up to join the cast of islanders despite being in a relationship with model Harriette Harper, who he has rowed with over his new gig.
An insider told the publication: “Sam flies out very soon for the new series of ‘Ex on the Beach’.
“Sam and Harriette are still together but they will 100 per cent split up over it. They have argued non-stop about him going on.
“Bosses know he would be an amazing signing for the sake of what he could say about Stephanie.
“He’s really fit too so would provide some great eye candy for the girls.”
Series six of the raunchy, sex-filled programme began in January in Crete in Greece and finished last month.

Robson Green and Jerome Flynn turned down 1m record deal

OHMYGOSSIP — Robson Green and Jerome Flynn turned down a £1 million offer to resurrect their pop career.
After co-starring in TV series ‘Soldier Soldier’, Simon Cowell signed the pair to a record deal in the 1990s and they sold seven million albums before retiring from the music business.
However, after the pair reunited for Robson’s ITV series ‘Tales From The Coast’, in January, they were offered a huge new record deal but neither of them were keen to take up music again.
Robson told the Daily Star: “Because of that meeting on TV we had non-stop phone calls from record companies, and I’m talking serious amounts of money, for a reunion.
“But we said: ‘No.’ It’s a phase we went through. The highlight of our music was when we stopped.”
Meanwhile, Robson is looking forward to the return of his TV series ‘Grantchester’ and promised fans that it will be racier than ever.
He said: “It’s very risqué this year. Very salacious. I was shocked by some of the scenes.
“As you’re doing the scenes you’re going: ‘Is this really Grantchester? Really?’
“But those moments are justified to get the end result.”

Bad magicians taking over BGT

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec say ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ has been taken over by bad magicians.
After Richard Jones became the first ever illusionist to win the show last year, a number of copy-cats have been trying their luck during this year’s auditions, but hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are not impressed.
Dec told the Daily Mirror: “”We got a lot of magicians. It is that thing where whatever act won the year before, you get a glut of. There are too many bad ones.
“We always ask that question before they go on, ‘A magician won last year, are you better?’ and it’s buzzer, buzzer, buzzer. There was a lot of close-up magic and I don’t think lightning is gonna strike twice.”
Despite the disappointing magicians, the pair have been having a ball filming the latest series of the ITV show and have been living the high-life on show boss Simon Cowell’s private jet.
Ant said: “We travelled on Simon’s private jet this year. I tried to eat my own body weight in sandwiches because I knew Simon was paying for it.
“I don’t think I made much of a dent in his pocket really.”
Simon is joined on the judging panel by Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams and Ant and Dec have been spending more time with the judges than ever before.
Ant explained: “Before, it was us backstage and them at the front, but we made a conscious effort to hang out with the judges more and had a right good laugh.”

Billie Faiers to design her own wedding dress

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Faiers will design her own wedding dress.
The 27-year-old reality TV star – who has daughter Nelly, two and one-month-old son Arthur with fiance Greg Shepherd – has had a change of heart when it comes to her gown.
Billie previously shunned the chance to design her own dress, having vowed in 2015 to “leave it to the professionals” but now, following the launch of her new In The Style spring collection, she is excited about the possibility.
Speaking to MailOnline, Billie said: “I’ve got my eye on some dresses I love but it would be amazing to be able to design my own.”
She previously claimed finding the perfect dress would be a “nightmare”, explaining: “With wedding dresses the possibilities are endless aren’t they. I reckon I’m probably going to be a nightmare and try on a million dresses before I find the right one so I’ll probably just leave that to the professionals.”
And whilst Billie has put expanding her brood further on hold until after she ties the knot, she teased that she’s planning an exotic beach ceremony.
She said: “‘I definitely want to get married first and maybe [more kids] in the future. But at the moment we’re really happy with two. Wedding plans are coming along well. We don’t have a date yet but we’ll have one set by September. My dream wedding would be somewhere incredible, on a beach with my family and friends there.”
The pair got engaged during their babymoon break to the Maldives back in 2014 when Billie was expecting Nelly and she says the tot has become an “amazing big sister”.
She said: “Nelly has taken to Arthur so well. She’s an amazing big sister and won’t leave Arthur’s side. Arthur is settling in perfectly – everyone absolutely loves him.”

Pearl Mackie says it's 'about time' Doctor Who got its first gay companion

OHMYGOSSIP — Pearl Mackie believes its “about time” ‘Doctor Who’ gets its first gay companion.
The 29-year-old actress, who will make her debut appearance on ‘Doctor Who’ on Saturday night (15.04.17) playing the role of Bill – the first openly gay companion on the BBC One time-travelling sci-fi drama – admitted the acknowledgement of gay characters on the show is long overdue.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Thursday (13.04.17) Pearl said: “I think arguably there have been lots of gay characters on ‘Doctor Who’ previously. The terminology, ‘the official companion’ is why she’s the first gay companion. It’s the terminology of that, that’s actually the first for ‘Doctor Who’. I mean, it’s about time isn’t it?”
Pearl, who previously starred in daytime soap ‘Doctors’, will make her debut opposite the shows’ current Doctor Peter Capaldi and she is already finding it hard adjusting to her recent fame.
She added: “It has been insane. That first day when I was first announced I got some friends round and then loads more people saw it, my friends were texting me, people calling, my Twitter count was going up. I was really grateful when my phone died actually. I was like, that is too much for me to deal with right now, I’m just going to put that away.”
Speaking about her role, Pearl said previously: “I knew I could bring her to life. She’s funny and geeky and vulnerable. There’s a goofiness to her and a big heart. She gets things wrong; she has a temper. I thought, ‘I know her. I could play her.'”

Bill Nighy never watches any of his own films

OHMYGOSSIP — Bill Nighy doesn’t watch his own films.
The 67-year-old actor – who has starred in ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise – became an international star in ‘Love Actually’ but he claims he has never seen a single movie he’s featured in because he doesn’t like to watch his acting.
Speaking to Britain’s Guardian newspaper, he said: “I really, really quite committedly try and avoid it, yeah.
“It’s hard sometimes because you want to honour the people that you have been working with, particularly the director and the writer but I just find it so dispirited. And it’s getting harder.
“It’s not that I don’t like the sight of myself, although I don’t, particularly as you get older, because I remember what I’m supposed to look lie..
“But it’s not that so much. It’s the acting.”
Bill, who hasn’t stopped working since starring in ‘Love Actually’ back in 2003, also said it’s easier not to have seen the film when it comes to being questioned about it by press.
He said: “You know I was there. I saw it happening. I’ve read the script, I know what happens in it.
“So I have the perfect relationship with it as far as I’m concerned.”
The ‘About Time’ star – whose latest outing is ‘Their Finest’, in which he stars alongside Gemma Arterton – also admitted that he “couldn’t wait” to be typecast as a certain character.
He said: “My big secret was that I couldn’t wait to get typecast. You know, the idea of going to work every day and doing the same thing… man! Wow!
“That’s like the greatest thing that could happen to me. I have no problem with that. And if there is a thing that people have come to expect from me, I’m very, very happy about that.”
Bill – who split from his partner Diana Quick in 2008 -currently lives by himself in a London flat but said he is “perfectly happy.”
He said: “People thinking because you spend time on your own, you’re troubled.
“I’m perfectly happy. I’m not in any trouble, everybody can relax.”

Tom Hardy and Channing Tatum out of Triple Frontier

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hardy and Channing Tatum have dropped out of ‘Triple Frontier’.
The pair were supposed to start shooting the thriller next month but have now walked away and the future of the film is now in doubt as studio Paramount have axed it from their slate.
According to Deadline, director J.C. Chandor had rewritten Mark Boal’s scripts but his stars weren’t keen on the changes and Tom in particular had requested extensive further rewrites.
And Paramount declined to move forward as they were making the movie on a tight budget and didn’t want to have to finance extensive changes because of “creative differences”.
The studio may have also let go of the film as it had been brought in by Brad Grey, but recent executive changes mean he is no longer with Paramount.
It is hoped that the film, which was also due to star Mahershala Ali and Adria Arjona, will find a new studio home and won’t be dropped completely.
It’s not the first time the movie has had a reshuffle – Katherine Bigelow was originally attached to direct, with the likes of Tom Hanks, Will Smith and Johnny Depp circled to star but it failed to materialise.
Tom can soon be seen in upcoming movie ‘Dunkirk’ alongside Harry Styles and Mark Rylance, and Channing is busy penning a movie musical with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Hugo Weaving cast in Peter Jackson's new movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugo Weaving has teamed up with Sir Peter Jackson for ‘Mortal Engines’.
The 57-year-old actor has previously worked alongside the filmmaker in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy and ‘The Hobbit’ franchise as the Elf-king Elrond and the pair will now join forces again on the upcoming fantasy drama, Variety reports.
However, it is not yet known which role Hugo will play in the film, which will also star Hera Hilmer, Robbie Sheehan, Ronan Rafterty and Stephen Lang.
Peter is producing the movie, as well as writing the screenplay – which is adapted from Philip Reeve’s series of novels – with Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, while Christian Rivers is on board to direct.
Peter recently said: “Christian is one of my closest collaborators. The combination of emotion and jaw-dropping visuals in ‘Mortal Engines’ makes this the perfect movie for his move into feature directing.
“What Christian intends to do with Philip Reeve’s terrific story is going to result in an original and spectacular movie. I wish I could see it tomorrow.”
‘Mortal Engines’ is the first of four planned adaptations of the novel series, which also includes ‘Predator’s Gold’, ‘Infernal Devices’, and ‘A Darkling Plain’.
The tale is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where cities including London are run on engines and the saga tells the story of protagonist Tom Natsworthy, a teenager who joins forces with a young woman from an area known as the Outlands, to discover a mystery that could change the world they live in.
Production on the film is expected to begin later in 2017.
Peter is thought to have been interested in adapting the book series around seven years ago but he became side-tracked by ‘The Hobbit’ film franchise.
The movie adaptation of the sci-fi fantasy book has been in the works since 2009, and Universal Pictures have now revealed the hotly-anticipated motion picture is scheduled for release in December 2018.

Alesha Dixon defends racy BGT outfits

OHMYGOSSIP — Alesha Dixon has defended her and Amanda Holden’s outfit choices on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
Although the show was investigated by TV watchdog Ofcom after it received a number of complaints over the skimpy fashion choices of judges Alesha and Amanda, the star has insisted that their clothes are tasteful and they have no plans to change.
She told The Sun: “Amanda and I love the glamorous side of it.
“That’s the most fun part for us, getting to dress up and wear incredible designers – and you create show-stopping outfits that you wouldn’t go down the local pub in.
“It’s a fantastic platform to have fun with fashion and I think that people really look forward to seeing what we’re going to wear.
“I think at the end of the day, Amanda and I, we are tasteful with what we do. We want to come out looking sexy and feminine and beautiful at the same time.”
Alesha, 38, also insisted that show boss – and fellow judge – Simon Cowell, 57, would be horrified if she and Amanda, 46, showed up to auditions and live shows in dowdy outfits.
She said: “It’s the last thing he wants. Otherwise he’d have hired four men, wouldn’t he?”
Meanwhile, Alesha believes the upcoming series of the show will be its most emotional yet.
She explained: “Up until last year I wouldn’t have really said I’m a crier on the show.
“But like with any of us whatever is going on in your life you tend to kind of relate things to people.
“My golden buzzer act this year is very special. When they told the story and they performed, I had that real moment of gratitude.”

Sam Faiers' boyfriend hasn't read her book

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Faiers’ boyfriend Paul Knightley hasn’t read her autobiography, ‘My Baby & Me’.
The 26-year-old TV star penned her book in 2016, but Paul – who is the father of her 16-month-old son, also called Paul – has admitted he’s never bothered to read it and doubts he ever will.
During an episode of the reality show ‘Mummy Diaries’, Sam asks her boyfriend: “Are you proud of me? Have you read the book?”
Paul replies: “I’ve read the front cover. I haven’t read it, and …”
At which point, Sam asks: “You don’t plan on reading it?”
And her boyfriend responds, bluntly: “I doubt it.”
Sam subsequently encouraged Paul to read the book, explaining that she’d written lots of complimentary things about him.
She shared: “I have written some really nice stuff about you in there though, about what an amazing dad you are, about your jobs and my jobs, when we first met, when I was pregnant …”
And Sam’s remarks seemed to prompt a sudden change of heart from Paul, who said: “Ah! Actually I change my mind, I haven’t read it yet but I will.”
Meanwhile, Sam previously claimed her book was designed to help new mums.
The TV personality said her overarching ambition behind penning the book was to help other busy mothers cope with the stresses of parenthood.
She said: “When you are pregnant, people always tell you their stories, good and bad, and this is mine. It isn’t telling you what to do or how to do it, just what worked for me and how I have dealt with the rollercoaster of the first year.
“It has been the best year of my life and I am excited to be working to bring it life in a book that I hope will entertain as well as giving sound advice.”
